Brady: Hey.

Philip: Yeah, yeah, that's right. A college education fund. Joanna and Emilio Mantz-- Carlo's kids. We'll deal with that down the line. Right now I just want to make sure their education is taken care of. Yeah.

Victor: What the hell are you doing, Philip?

Stephanie: I'm late, I know, sorry.

Sami: It's okay. You're, like, five minutes late.

Stephanie: So I was thinking we could just go to the Cheatin' Heart and get a couple burgers.

Sami: Oh, you know what, I was wondering if we could stay in tonight. Johnny's not feeling well, and I want to stay with him.

Stephanie: Yeah, yeah, that's fine. I just wanted to hang out.

Sami: Okay, cool. I have some to-go menus we can look at.

Stephanie: Awesome. Hey, what's with all the boxes?

Rafe: All right, Dr. Richard Baker, let's see what you've been up to.

Melanie: Ahem. Excuse me. Excuse me. Hi. Hey, um, who are you, and what are you doing on that computer?

Rafe: Uh...

Hope: It's not about worrying. I just want to say good night to my daughter. Is that okay with you?

Bo: That is just fine. I would like to say good night to her too.

Hope: Okay. She's not answering.

Bo: Well, she's probably driving and doesn't want to talk on the phone. We'll call her later.

Hope: Yeah, that's smart.

Justin: But right now let's just enjoy the moment, shall we? No kids, no responsibilities. Just chillin' here at the pub.

Bo: Chillin' at the pub.

Justin: Hey, for old times' sake.

Bo: For old times' sake.

Bo: Ciara? Ciara? Ciara!

Bo: Uh, excuse me. I gotta make a call.

Sami: Well, um, Rafe is moving out.

Stephanie: So does that mean...

Sami: Yeah, we're breaking up.

Stephanie: I'm so sorry.

Sami: So am I. I thought I really was gonna get a happy ending this time.

Stephanie: What--what happened?

Sami: There was this thing in his past that he didn't want to talk to me about, and I couldn't stop asking questions. And it just spiraled downhill from there.

Stephanie: I'm so sorry. You two seemed so right.

Sami: I think we are. But, um, this problem, it just wouldn't go away.

Stephanie: I understand that all too well.

Sami: Yeah. We're in the same boat, aren't we?

Stephanie: Not exactly the best thing to have in common.

Sami: [Chuckles] No. But you know what, I hope you know you're doing the right thing. Right? I mean, I relate to what you're going through with Philip, and believe me, you're too good a person to have to deal with stuff like that.

Stephanie: Or too cowardly, anyway.

Sami: Are you kidding me? You are not a coward. Not at all. Look, if you stayed with Philip, that would mean you're condoning--you're okay with everything that he and his family does. And, Stephanie, you've already suffered enough from that. Okay? You don't have to live like that.

Stephanie: You're right. You're completely right. Thank you for putting it into perspective.

Sami: You know what, tomorrow is another day, right? You're gonna get a "happily ever after."

Stephanie: We both are...eventually.

[Both chuckle]

Rafe: And who are you?

Melanie: I asked you first.

Rafe: Yeah, you did. Um, Rafe.

Melanie: Oh, okay.

Rafe: I was just trying to find a patient's room number on this computer thing here, and--

Melanie: See, now, you're supposed to ask the lovely assistant behind the counter what the patients' room number-- not just hop on any computer you want, and you act like you own the place.

Rafe: You're right. And you know, the funny thing is, there was no one behind this information desk, so...

Melanie: Listen, are you, um-- you trying to charm your way out of this?

Rafe: No, I'm serious, there was no one here. Still isn't, actually.

Melanie: Yeah? Look, you're very, very attractive. You have a nice smile.

Rafe: Come on.

Melanie: But I don't believe you.

Rafe: You serious? Come on, I--

Melanie: No more games. Rafe, who are you, and what are you doing on that computer?

Justin: What did I miss?

Hope: What?

Justin: Well, Bo seemed really thrown by something, and he got up like there was some kind of emergency.

Hope: He must have remembered something. Maybe about one of his investigations... wanted to check it out.

Bo: Hey, Ellen, it's Bo. You finally answered.

Ellen: Oh, I'm sorry, Bo. Were you trying to reach me?

Bo: Yeah, uh, Hope, you know, was just checking in a couple of times. Just want to see if everything's going okay. Is Ciara having fun?

Ellen: Oh, yeah, she's having a blast.

Bo: Good. Um, can I talk to her?

Ellen: Oh, of course. She's right here. Ciara? Ciara, honey?

Bo: Ellen, you said she was right there.

Ellen: She was. I just saw her. But now-- [Calling out] Ciara, where are you?

Bo: Come on, we gotta go.

Hope: Why?

Bo: Come on, let's go! I'll explain in the car.

Hope: Is it Ciara?

Brady: Nice to see you.

Arianna: You too.

Brady: I really wasn't expecting company, so I--

Arianna: I--I thought I'd stop by. I should have called first. Actually, I did try your cell, but you were probably in the pool and didn't hear it.

Brady: I didn't--I didn't hear the doorbell either.

Arianna: No? Uh, this guy let me in. Your housekeeper, I think.

Brady: Oh, that's Henderson. Yeah, he's my butler.

Arianna: Butler. Right.

Brady: All right, wait a minute. He's not my butler, he works for my grandfather, actually.

Arianna: Well, I'm glad I found you. I have a gift for you.

Philip: I'm gonna have to call you back. Yeah, you too. Take care.

Victor: Now, what is all this about an educational endowment?

Philip: It's for Carlo's children. A college fund.

Victor: And since when did the education of Carlo's children become your responsibility?

Philip: A man was killed on my watch...doing our dirty work. What, am I not supposed to care about his family? Help them out?

Victor: You're supposed to stay the hell out of it. Just like you shouldn't have gotten involved in his shooting. Calling the EMTs. What are you thinking?

Philip: I was trying to save a man's life.

Victor: In the meantime, the police are asking all sorts of questions. The lawyers are having a hard time explaining what happened.

Philip: Oh, my God, is that all you give a damn about, that you're inconvenienced about being asked questions? A man is dead! A loyal employee. A father, a husband, a friend! He lost his life doing business for us. I mean, doesn't that bother you?

Victor: Why should it?

Abe: Hey, Ellen. Yeah.

Ellen: Have you seen Ciara?

Abe: Uh, no, not for a while. Last time I saw her she was with you.

Ellen: Right, well, she couldn't have gone too far. I mean, she's around here somewhere.

Abe: How long have you been looking for her?

Ellen: Only a few minutes. She couldn't have gone too far, right?

Abe: Theo, have you seen Ciara?

Theo: Seen Ciara. Seen Ciara.

Abe: He's a little tired right now.

Ellen: Oh, that's okay. I'll ask the other kids.

Abe: Well, I'll start searching the park. First let's go get mommy. I think I saw her talking to Jason's mom. She'll take you home. All right, buddy? Sound good? Ciara's gotta be close. We'll find her.

Ellen: All right. Ciara? Ciara!

Abe: Come on, Theo, let's go get Mommy. Come on, let's go.

[Knock on door]

Sami: Hold on.

Maggie: Hi! I hope I'm not late. I had a big traffic jam on magnolia.

Sami: Yeah, I know. You didn't get my message.

Maggie: Oh, no. I haven't checked it lately. Why, change of plans?

Stephanie: Oh, hi, Maggie.

Maggie: Hi, darling.

Sami: Yeah, um, well, Johnny's not feeling well, so I decided to stay in. And Stephanie said she'd stay too, so we're not gonna go out.

Maggie: Oh, well, can I stay a while anyway?

Sami: Of course. Of course. I'd love that. Yeah, definitely.

Maggie: Okay, great. Then I can get to spend some time with you two. Although why do I get the feeling all is not well?

Sami: [Coughs]

Stephanie: Sami and I were just discussing the men in our lives.

Sami: You mean the men who aren't in our lives anymore.

Stephanie: Right.

Maggie: Uh, well, I know that Stephanie and Philip aren't together anymore, but I thought that you--

Sami: No, yeah, well... Rafe is moving out. We broke up.

Maggie: [Gasps] Oh, sweetheart... oh, honey... I know this is just so difficult for you. I mean, after everything you've been through.

Sami: Yeah, well, Rafe helped me through the hardest time in my life.

Maggie: Oh, dear. You know, I wish you both didn't have to suffer like this. I mean, I know it's cold comfort right now, but the pain will lessen in time. And then one day you'll find your true soul mate and-- and the pain will disappear.

Sami: What if you've already found him...and he is your soul mate? Does that mean the pain never goes away? [Sighs]

Melanie: [Chuckles] Look, Mister, if you don't tell me what you're doing, I'm gonna have to go call security.

Rafe: No, no, no, no, it's fine. All right. I'll tell you the truth. Okay, there's this nurse, and she works here. She's very attractive, actually. And the only problem, I only got her first name.

Melanie: Which is?

Rafe: Uh, Anita.

Melanie: Anita. So... there's no nurse here by that name.

Rafe: Yeah, well, there are a lot of nurses that work here. I'm sure you don't know every one.

Melanie: I guess not.

Rafe: So anyway, I was just trying to track her down through the database thing on the computer.

Melanie: Uh-huh. Okay, look, I am all for people hooking up, you know? And I mean that in a more appropriate way, obviously.

Rafe: Yeah, of course. Obviously.

Melanie: And I would hate to stand in the way of true love... or what could be a version of it.

Rafe: Great, so it's okay then? I can use the computer?

Brady: So what do we got here? Uh, "this card entitles you to a Brady pub gift picnic basket for two."

Arianna: I thought while the weather's still good, right? We can't have a picnic in November, can we?

Brady: No, no, not around here. Not in these parts. Who should I take? I mean, it's for two people, so who should I go with?

Arianna: I don't know, Paris Hilton maybe?

Brady: Paris? Nah, she's not really my type. You know, she's a little too... Paris Hilton-like.

Arianna: Right.

Brady: Yeah. I could take my accountant. He's an all right guy, but not too much fun. Not--not a good sense of humor. He would talk about investments all night. You know what, I think that just leaves you.

Arianna: You sure? No other friends or associates?

Brady: Not worthy of a picnic, no.

Arianna: I guess I'll have to clear my schedule then.

Brady: I'm just curious about something.

Arianna: What's that?

Brady: [Clears throat] Why the gift?

Arianna: It's my way of thanking you for the other night. The picnic, the dancing. I was hoping we could do it again.

Brady: You made sure of it, didn't you?

Arianna: Pretty clever, huh?

Brady: Well, you know, it doesn't always have to be a picnic.

Arianna: Huh?

Brady: Well, you know, there's other ways for people to spend time together, Ari. I mean, I have a pool. Maybe we could take a swim together. You want to go for a swim?

Arianna: Oh, sorry, I can't.

Dr. Baker: Whew.

Man: Baker, hey.

Dr. Baker: What do you want?

Man: [Scoffs] Like you don't know.

Melanie: Hmm, like I said, I do get a kick out of thinking that you and this nurse--

Rafe: Anita.

Melanie: Anita.

Rafe: Yeah.

Melanie: Right, that you and Anita could eventually meet up and fall in love. And that would be partly thanks to me because I let you look her up on the database here.

Rafe: Great.

Melanie: I, however, cannot do that because everything on this computer's confidential.

Rafe: Ah, I get it. Right. That makes sense.

Melanie: I'm sorry. I'm sorry.

Rafe: No, no, no, that's okay. You're just doing your job.

Melanie: You know, if I didn't have, like, 15 seconds left in my shift, I'd help you go find this Anita physically, in person.

Rafe: That is really nice of you.

Melanie: Oh, you know what, shoot. I keep doing this matchmaking thing, it keeps blowing up in my face. So I actually probably have to take that back. I don't think I can help you find her.

Rafe: I get it. Well, you know what, I guess I'm just gonna have to find Anita some other way then.

Melanie: Good luck.

Rafe: Yeah.

Melanie: I mean that.

Rafe: Yeah, I-- I've already taken so much of your time, so... thanks again. See you.

Melanie: You have-- catch the next...

Rafe: Yeah.

Bo: Hey, hey, what's going on? Have you seen Ciara?

Abe: No, not yet.

Bo: What about the other kids?

Abe: Well, Lexie took Theo home. None of the other children have seen her either.

Hope: Oh, dear God. Ciara!

Justin: Okay, look, she's gonna be fine. She's gonna be fine. Our twins disappeared on Adrienne and me at a carnival once. An hour later they showed up with--

Hope: Ciara? Ciara!

Abe: I put in a call to the station. We have officers searching the entire area.

Bo: Okay, thanks, Abe. Ciara? Mommy and Daddy are here. Hey, Ci--Ciara! Little one?

Hope: Ciara. Do you hear me, honey? It's Mommy! Mommy misses you so much, sweetheart. Mommy and Daddy just want to find you so we can bring you home. Honey, please answer Mommy. Oh, my God. Ciara...

Justin: Hope, did you find-- okay, kids drop these things all the time.

Hope: Ciara?

Justin: It doesn't necessarily mean--

Hope: Bo.

Bo: Where did you find it?

Hope: On the ground, a few feet away. Bo, where is she? Where's our baby?

[Cell phone rings]

Bo: Hold on, we may have something. Talk to me.

Brady: No swim?

Arianna: I can't, not right now. I'm on a break. I have to go back and close the pub. Caroline had bingo night, and I agreed to take care of it.

Brady: All right, well, then, it's cool. All right, some other time.

Arianna: You mad at me?

Brady: No, no, I'm not mad at you. No. You have work commitments. I understand that. And we'll hang out another time.

Arianna: Soon.

Brady: Oh, yeah, very soon.

Arianna: Yeah, unless...

Brady: Unless what?

Arianna: I could stop by after I close the pub. If it's not too late.

Brady: I'm a patient guy.

Arianna: Oh, really? I go home and get my swimsuit first, though.

Brady: Why would you do that?

Arianna: For the swim you suggested, right?

Brady: That pool--the one that we're gonna be in-- swimsuits are prohibited. You're not allowed to wear a swimsuit in that pool.

Arianna: Oh, really?

Brady: I, uh-- I will see you when you get back.

Arianna: I'll see you then.

Man: You look like you've seen a ghost, Baker.

Dr. Baker: Look, just get out of here.

Man: The ghost of gambling debts past.

Dr. Baker: I don't have the money.

Man: I'm shocked.

Dr. Baker: But I'm gonna get it real soon.

Man: Real soon, huh? You have no idea how reassured I am.

Dr. Baker: A couple days, tops.

Man: A couple of days too late. I'm through waiting. The money, Baker. Now.

[Elevator dings]

[Rafe whistles]

Bo: Yeah, okay, thanks. I got it.

Hope: What? What's the lead? What have you got?

Bo: Someone caw a car speeding away from here moments before Ellen lost track of Ciara.

Hope: Oh, dear God.

Bo: They got the make and model.

Hope: License plate number?

Bo: They couldn't get the license--

Hope: Without the license plate number we won't be able to track it, Bo.

Bo: We're doing everything we can.

Hope: That's not what I want to hear. I want my daughter back!

Bo: We'll find her, we'll find her, I promise you. I promise you we'll find her. Don't you worry. We'll find her. Hang in there. It's gonna be all right. It's gonna be okay.

Philip: So that doesn't bother you, that Carlo is dead? Just another statistic, right?

Victor: Just spare me the bleeding heart, Philip.

Philip: Let me ask you something. Do you even have a heart? That man worked for us for years.

Victor: The operative word being "worked for us." He wasn't a member of the family. Wasn't even a fiend, really. He was an employee, and as such he knew exactly what he was getting into when he took the job.

Philip: Really? Really? Really? He expected to be killed? To leave his kids without a father?

Victor: Look, I'm saddened that the man is dead, but I paid him very well, as I do all my staff. And in return they do their jobs and they keep their mouths shut.

Philip: Wow, I knew you were a cold son of a bitch, but this is...

Victor: It's the way we do business, Philip. If you don't like it, teach kindergarten. But if you plan on hanging around here and working with me, you better thicken up your skin. 'Cause bad stuff happens. Get used to it.

Man: The first brick I gave you went pretty quick, huh?

Arianna: Too quick.

Man: Well, there's good news and bad. The bad news is for right now I only have one more ounce of coke available. And hopefully that'll tide you over until the next shipment comes in.

Arianna: And the good news?

Man: Well, people I work for are impressed by how quickly and quietly you've been able to move our product.

Arianna: I aim to please.

Man: Just make sure you don't get pinched, huh?

Arianna: Right. I'll do my best.

Melanie: Hi. Sorry I'm late. I hope you haven't been waiting long.

Nathan: [Sighs] No, I'm just kidding. I just got here myself.

Melanie: Oh, well, cool. Then disregard my apology.

Nathan: Heh!

Melanie: You, uh-- you don't like my outfit?

Nathan: No, you look great. It's just...is that the-- is that the new style? You got a little...

Melanie: Oh, that's embarrassing.

Nathan: No, I mean, it's fine. It's just the second button...

Melanie: Yeah, I, uh... [Both stammering] I'm gonna go to the bathroom and just fix-- so Nathan: I'll...okay.

Stephanie: Nathan, hey.

Nathan: Stephanie, hey.

Stephanie: What brings you to the Cheatin' Heart?

[Both] Are you okay? [Chuckling]

Rafe: You first.

Sami: Yeah, I'm fine. I brought Johnny in. He's still coughing and... so I just wanted to get him checked out.

Rafe: He's all right?

Sami: Yeah. Yeah, he is. He's with the nurse. She wanted to take him for a lollipop.

Rafe: Well, I'm glad he's all right.

Sami: Are you okay?

Rafe: Yeah. I am.

Sami: So what are you doing here?

Rafe: Oh...

Sami: Did you change your mind about leaving Salem?

Nathan: I just, uh-- I just stopped by to have some dinner with a friend.

Stephanie: Is she here?

Nathan: Ladies room.

Stephanie: Oh. Got it.

Nathan: Uh, it's Melanie, actually.

Stephanie: Oh, cool.

Nathan: Yeah. Hey, I got your message about hanging out again. I think that's a great idea. Stephanie: I really think we should.

Nathan: Yeah, that'd be-- no pressure. I mean--

Stephanie: No, no, no. No pressure at all. I want to hang out again. I keep thinking about how much fun I had in the park that night.

Nathan: Yeah, it was fun.

Stephanie: It was a lot of fun.

Melanie: Oh, yeah, that wonderful time in the park. All those wonderful memories.

Nathan: Steph and I were just--

Melanie: You two were just what, being all cute and flirty while stupid, unsuspecting me was off in the bathroom buttoning up my shirt?

Stephanie: Buttoning your shirt?

Melanie: Did you plan this, or is this a coincidence?

Nathan: Well, no. Plan what? Stephanie just happened to stop by.

Stephanie: I came in here to get a beer.

Melanie: Oh, to get a beer. Right, and to talk about all the amazing times you had, and how you can't wait to do it again. By the way, Steph, could you wear something a little more low-cut next time? You're, uh-- you're horning in on my date. And do you own anything that doesn't show all of your cleavage?

Stephanie: Melanie, you're really out of control.

Melanie: Actually--actually, I'm very much in control, and I'm not gonna do this-- this triangle thing, or whatever sleazy...

Nathan: Will you just stop? Just, hey--just--

Melanie: Just what? Just no. We're done. So he is all yours...princess.

Stephanie: Melanie!

Nathan: No, we--

Bo: Don't worry, we'll find her. Hey.

Abe: We ran it all through the DMV, make and model of the car.

Bo: And?

Abe: Every available detective and officer are out trying to track down the owners. So far, everyone checks out except for--

Bo: Except what?

Abe: The car. The make and model was spotted by hikers down by the river. Apparently the owner had reported it stolen.

Hope: Let's go. That's where Ciara is.

Arianna: I got it covered, don't worry.

Man: Good to hear.

Arianna: How about you?

Man: I'm all set up. My bosses take very good care of me.

Arianna: Does that courtesy swing both ways? If I get into trouble, will they take care of me?

Man: But, honey, you won't get into trouble, will you? Not if you're being as careful as you say you are.

Rafe: Well, it turns out there's still some things that I have to do here...in Salem. Ahem...so...

Sami: So...

Rafe: I don't know exactly when I'll be leaving.

Sami: Oh. And these things you have to do here--

Rafe: No, it's probably better I don't tell you the details.

Sami: Okay, so what are you doing at the hos-- yeah, no, I get it. I guess I don't have the right to ask questions.

Rafe: It's gonna be awkward.

Sami: Yeah.

Rafe: Running into you like this.

Sami: Apparently. Um, so, you know, obviously I could spend a lot of time, effort, energy trying to figure out a way to change your mind. But I know you better. I know it wouldn't work.

Rafe: Heh.

Sami: So, um-- so I'll miss you.

Rafe: I'll miss you too.

Arianna: You can come in, but sorry, bro, the pub's closed.

Rafe: Uh, yeah, I know. Just came by to use your laptop again, if that's okay.

Arianna: It's fine.

Rafe: All right.

Arianna: Still checking out that dr. Baker business?

Rafe: Dr. Richard Baker... that delivered Grace in secret. Now, if it's the same Dr. Baker that Nicole was talking to, I need to figure out what their connection is. How they met, and more importantly, what the connection is with Sami.

Stephanie: Sorry for ruining your night.

Nathan: No, it's not your fault. Melanie just lost it. Stop the presses, right?

Stephanie: Yeah, she definitely went berserk over nothing.

Nathan: Oh, I don't know. It might not have been nothing.

Stephanie: What do you mean?

Nathan: I'm just--I don't know. I just think that she assumed that she and I were on a date, and that, for some ungodly reason, I made a date with you at the same time.

Stephanie: That would be weird, huh? I mean, inviting someone out to dinner and then having someone else join you without telling your original date.

Nathan: Yes, it would be absolutely insane, right?

Stephanie: She just didn't give you the benefit of the doubt.

Nathan: I noticed. Sit.

Stephanie: Uh, well, was it?

Nathan: Was it what?

Stephanie: Well, you said that Melanie assumed that you guys were out on a date. I was just wondering if that's what it was.

Nathan: No, not really.

Stephanie: And just for the record, I am not in the least bit upset that you guys are hanging out. I mean, whether it was a date or you guys just hanging out as friends, I could care less.

Nathan: Ouch.

Stephanie: I'm sorry. That was kind of cold, wasn't it?

Nathan: Absolutely. Especially when I was expecting you to be devastated and heartbroken.

Stephanie: Oh, right, because you think, like, you're the man of my dreams or something, and that just the idea of you hanging out with another woman just drives me insanely jealous?

Nathan: Yeah, something like that.

Stephanie: I am not upset at all.

Nathan: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: But I am sorry for interfering with whatever you two had going on. It was completely unintentional.

Nathan: Oh, I know that. And...I was just-- I'm wondering--

Stephanie: Go on.

Nathan: If you're still into Philip.

Stephanie: Well, I think that I'm always gonna love Philip. But I told you that we're through.

Nathan: Good. Then you wanna hang for a little bit and just maybe talk or whatever? Unless you got other plans, then...

Stephanie: I don't.

Nathan: Good. Then stay with me. Have dinner, save my night.

Melanie: Hey.

Philip: Oh! Don't sneak up on people like that.

Melanie: Oh, I'm sorry. It's a little late for that, I guess.

Philip: What are you doing here anyway? This is not a safe place to be at night.

Melanie: Well, good, because I'm in the mood for flirting with danger.

Philip: Something happen?

Melanie: Not really something I want to discuss. Let's just say my ego got a little bruised, and I'm not in a great mood. Obviously you aren't either.

Philip: No, I'm not. I can't stop thinking about--

Melanie: About the guy that died? The one that used to work for you? Philip, it's not your fault. I mean, he wasn't even family.

Philip: You better shut up.

Melanie: I'm sorry. What did I say?

Philip: You're saying exactly what my father said. You sound just like him.

Dr. Baker: Just take it easy.

Man: Take it easy? That's the best you can come up with for me? What are you doing?

Dr. Baker: Whoa. Just getting out my wallet.

Do it slowly, please, thank you.

Dr. Baker: Here, here, take it, okay? It's everything I have. Here, just... let me go.

Man: "Fairway Urgent Care Clinic." What are you, a doctor?

Dr. Baker: That's right.

Man: I'll be damned.

Dr. Baker: I used to run that clinic.

Man: What a tragedy...for them. I mean, how did a doctor get involved in all this mess?

Dr. Baker: [Sighs] Things happen.

Man: Yeah, things do happen. It's not enough.

Dr. Baker: Okay, listen to me. I'm getting more, all right? A lot more than covers my debt. I'll give you a cut. I'll give you a percentage. Just take--take it easy now. Listen to me! A couple days, that's all I'm asking. All right, now, think. I'm worth more to you alive. Trust me.

Man: If you are lying to me, you little bastard...

Dr. Baker: No, no, no, no. I mean every word, I swear.

Man: I'll give you two days.

Dr. Baker: Two days.

Man: Nice to see you, Doc.

Rafe: "3:00 appointment, cancelled. Call on Sydney DiMera with Dr. Baker in pediatrics." Why the hell did she cancel? Did she know Dr. Baker before he ended up at Salem Hospital?

Maggie: Ahh, out like a light.

Sami: He loves it when you tuck him in.

Maggie: Oh, he's still a bit stuffed up. But I did get him to laugh with my terrible singing. I mean, I guess that's a good sign.

Sami: Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ra-la?

Maggie: Oh, now, come on. It did work for Melissa.

Sami: Do you want to sit and have some tea?

Maggie: I would love that.

Sami: Sounds good. And you know what, you didn't have to clean up all of Rafe's stuff.

Maggie: No, I had to put the boxes away.

Sami: Thank you.

Maggie: It's gonna get easier, Sami. I know I sound like a broken record, but it's true.

Sami: I know it is.

Maggie: Honey, when you got back from the hospital, did something happen while you were there?

Sami: I ran into Rafe. You know, I can't stop thinking about it anyway, but then seeing him... why does love have to be so hard?

Arianna: See, I kept my promise.

Brady: Well, yes, you did.

Arianna: You had your doubts, didn't you? You thought I wasn't gonna show.

Brady: Yeah, yeah, actually I was starting to think that you might have, you know, maybe changed your mind.

Arianna: Oh, well, closing the pub took longer than I thought it would. But I'm here now... if you're, uh... interested.

Brady: Uh, yeah. Yeah, I'm still interested.

Arianna: Last one in?

Brady: You bet.

Nathan: Thank you so much for hanging out tonight. It meant a lot to me.

Stephanie: Thanks for having me.

Nathan: Of course.

Stephanie: Yeah, it's nice hanging out with a guy and having it not be so complicated. I'm having fun.

Nathan: Me too. Salud. To uncomplicated relationships, and to having fun.

Melanie: I sound just like your father? What is that supposed to mean?

Philip: You don't care that a good man died. Who had a wife and kids.

Melanie: No, Philip, of course I care. And not just because it's horrible, but because you care too. I--I was just saying that he's not family because I thought it would make you feel better, but I totally respect that this affects you, and it's because you're a good-hearted person.

Philip: You may be the only person that thinks that, Melanie.

Melanie: Well, I don't just think it, I know it. Uh, so your dad was acting all business-like about this guy's death?

Philip: [Scoffs] He doesn't give a damn about anything. That the guy worked for us, or the guy has a family, or the guy has kids. I mean, he doesn't give a damn.

Melanie: Well, that's messed up.

Philip: It makes me question him. Question our business, question everything. I--I don't know what to do, Melanie.

Melanie: Well--well, I know what to do. Will you let me help you? Will you let me make you feel better?

Brady: Nothing like a moonlight swim, huh? Come on, warm summer night-- this is awesome.

Arianna: I don't know about warm. Ooh!

Brady: Okay. Come here. Brrr. Is that better?

Arianna: Much. Actually, I'm starting to feel really warm now.

Sami: It's just hard running into him like that.

Maggie: Honey, is it too late to change your mind about letting him go?

Sami: Yeah, it is. Rafe and I can't be together. Still, it just feels--

Maggie: What, darling? What does it feel?

Sami: It feels like I'm making the biggest mistake of my life. And I just wonder if he feels the same way.

Rafe: Dr. Baker ran the Fairway Urgent Care Clinic in Brookville before he was hired in Salem. That has to be it. That's where Nicole and Dr. Baker met. But why there? What was she doing at that clinic? What the hell is her connection to Dr. Baker?

Bo: Ciara? Ciara! Ciara!

Daniel: Well, then, how the hell do we get in there?

Brady: There's gotta be a way.

Melanie: Don't play a player. What's really going on?

Philip: I'm quitting for good.

Bo: "$5 million if you ever want to see your little girl again."
