Nicole: E.J., put your family first -- your real family. Stay here. Don't go see Sami. Please.
E.J.: Nicole, get out of my way, please.
Nicole: E.J., if you walk out that door, I swear I will --
E.J.: What? You're going to leave? You threatening me again? We back to that?
[Water running]
Daniel: [Gasps softly] Chloe. What are you...
Chloe: I can't stay away from you, Daniel. I want you so much. Don't you want me?
Daniel: I do. You know I do.
Chloe: [Sighs]
Daniel: Oh, my God. My God -- you're gorgeous.
Chloe: I love you, Daniel. I love you so much.
Daniel: [Sighs] This has got to stop. I can't keep doing this. [Sighs]
Will: Look, I'm never giving Mia up. You hear that? Never.
Lucas: I'm trying to protect you. Can't you see that?
Will: Who asked for your protection, dad?
Lucas: You know your mom. You know how she'd feel if she found out what was going on.
Will: Dad, just go home, would you?
Lucas: I don't want to see you get hurt, all right? You stay away from her before it's too late.
Sami: Help me. You have to help me. I need an ambulance.
[Grace crying]
Sami: Yes, yes, uh, 715 Pinewood -- yes. My -- my baby girl, she's -- she's having a seizure. Hurry, please.
Nicole: No. No, I'm not... I'm not threatening you. I'm... I'm being unreasonable and insecure. Look, if you want to go see Sami, go. I'm not gonna try and stop you. Just...go.
E.J.: Thank you. I'll be back in a bit, all right?
Nicole: Mm-hmm.
E.J.: What? Come on. That still upsets you?
Nicole: E.J., you married an insecure woman, and I know that you know that. And we're a married couple now, and I still don't think I'm important to you. And I know -- I know that makes you angry. I know it does.
E.J.: How can that not make me angry? How? Nothing that I ever do is enough for you. I mean, I could profess my undying love for you day and night, and you'd still feel unloved and insecure.
Nicole: Only because of her.
E.J.: Only because of her. So, you're telling me that if Samantha Brady had nothing to do with this picture, you'd feel completely secure. Is that right?
Nicole: E.J... [Sighs] ...From the moment I met you... I felt like -- that I've been competing with Sami -- for your love, for your attention. And that hasn't changed. And maybe that never will.
And then start unloading the rebar.
Rafe: All right.
Any questions, give me a holler.
Rafe: Will do.
And no cellphones. Only on your own time.
Rafe: Yeah, I was just turning it off.
Sami: Hey. Hey, sweetie. Mama's here. You're gonna be okay, sweetheart. You're gonna -- Rafe. Rafe, it's Sami. There's something wrong with Grace. Call me. Uh, call me. I'm going to the hospital.
[Telephone beeps]
[Siren wails]
Nicole: This is the last thing you need right now, E.J., especially after everything you've been through lately -- me being needy and insecure and begging for your reassurance.
E.J.: Nicole, let's just --
Nicole: And I hate this side of me. I do. I hate it. And I know that you do, too.
E.J.: Nicole, I like -- I love every side of you... every side of you. And I'm genuinely very sorry that you don't think that you're important to me, because you and Sydney are the most important things in the world to me. I mean, you make me incredibly happy -- happier than anybody has ever made me. You've got a great smile...
Nicole: [Chuckles]
E.J.: ...When you're happy. I mean, you mean the world to me, and you're everything that I need. And you're right more times than I care to admit. I was overreacting when I... heard about... Rafe adopting Sami's baby. It would have been presumptuous of me to go over there and confront the situation.
Nicole: Well, it's your choice, E.J. And it was presumptuous of me to try and stop you.
E.J.: No, it wasn't. And my choice is to stay here... and focus on my family.
Daniel: [Sighs]
[Water running]
Chloe: Mm, the water's so nice and warm. You should come back in. Please?
Daniel: No. I can't.
Chloe: Please come back in?
[Water stops]
Daniel: [Sighs] I'm out of here.
Will: I can't believe this. I thought you, of all people, would understand. You wouldn't judge someone for having a problem.
Lucas: Will, it's not just a problem.
Will: Yeah, okay, well, she's getting help, okay? She's dealing with it.
Lucas: You're 16 years old. I don't want to see you carry around that kind of baggage. You understand me? It's gonna bring you down.
Will: I'm out of here.
Lucas: Don't walk away from me again. We're not done with this conversation. I mean it. [Sighs]
[Door closes]
E.J.: Look, I know I'm not the most demonstrative of people, but, um... and I should tell you more how much I love you.
Nicole: [Chuckles]
E.J.: But you have my heart. You know that, right?
Nicole: I do.
[Cellphone rings]
E.J.: Mm.
Nicole: Ooh.
E.J.: Excuse me.
Nicole: Yeah. Take it.
[Cellphone beeps]
E.J.: This had better be good. What? No, I don't -- I don't care about her. What about Owen? Thank you. We'll be in touch.
Nicole: What was that about?
E.J.: They found Owen and Stephanie at, uh -- what's that place down the road? Heritage park? Philip was with them.
Nicole: Whoa, the -- the funeral home?
E.J.: Yeah, they were in the morgue, apparently.
Nicole: Oh, my God. Well, is everyone okay?
E.J.: Owen won't be... when I get my hands on him.
Nicole: He didn't try to implicate you, did he?
E.J.: No, not yet. Listen, I'm gonna go and talk to my father, all right?
Nicole: Okay, all right.
E.J.: I'll be at the hospital if you need me.
Nicole: Okay.
E.J.: Okay, I love you.
Nicole: I love you.
Daniel: What happened?
Sami: Um, she was having seizures, and they wouldn't stop.
Daniel: What's her temperature, her B.P.?
103.5, she's hypertensive, and seizing every 2 to 3 minutes.
Sami: She's having another one. Make it stop!
Will: Uh, where are you going?
Mia: Uh, home. I have, like, two finals in the morning.
Will: Oh, well, I'll give you a ride.
Mia: No, that's okay. I can walk.
Will: Well, man, did my dad say something to you?
Mia: I'll see you in class tomorrow, okay?
Will: W-- Mia, wait. Look...
Mia: What?
Will: ...My dad can be a real jerk sometimes, so if he said something that ups--
Mia: Look, will, you are so lucky you have a dad who cares about you, and he's right. It's probably not the best idea we hang out together.
Will: What? He said that to you?
Mia: No, but I heard what he said to you outside.
Will: Well -- well, then you also heard what I said, right?
Mia: I don't want to be a problem, will. Goodbye.
Will: Wait, goodbye? Wait, no, no.
Mia: Look, even if I didn't hear what your dad said, I'd still be leaving Salem.
Will: Why? Just because your cousin is?
Mia: Because I don't have her apartment anymore, and I have a friend who lives in Minneapolis, and she said that I could crash with her for a while.
Will: No, you are not moving to Minneapolis.
Mia: Will.
Will: Look, I told you I would find you a place to stay in Salem, and I will.
Maggie: [Laughs] Okay.
Will: And I think I know just the person who can help.
Chloe: Hey. Hey, Sydney.
Nicole: Look who it is, pumpkin. Can you smile for auntie Chloe, huh?
Chloe: Oh, my goodness. You're getting more and more beautiful every time I see you.
Nicole: Yeah.
Chloe: Oh.
Nicole: Well, I hope my inviting you over here tonight didn't screw up your evening.
Chloe: No, not at all. Actually, it gave me a really good excuse to skip my spin class.
Nicole: Oh, yeah.
Chloe: So, what's up? What's your news?
Nicole: Well, I believe there has been a breakthrough.
Chloe: With...
Nicole: E.J. We had a talk. And I told him how insecure I am, and that... it -- it feels like Sami's the one that's most important, and I told him that upsets me, and he understood how I felt, and he's gonna try to prove to me that Sydney and I come first, huh? From now on.
Chloe: Okay, then. Well, that's great news.
Nicole: Oh, it's amazing. It's amazing that, after all these years of horrible, horrible relationships and marriages and never knowing what it feels like to be loved or have a family, I am finally getting my happily ever after.
Chloe: Hmm, it gives us all hope.
Nicole: What do you need hope for? You already have yours.
Chloe: Yeah, no, that's true. I'm really lucky.
After your break, I need some 2x4s shifted.
Rafe: You got it.
Arianna: Rafe?
Rafe: Ari. I thought you were working tonight.
Arianna: Caroline cut me loose early. So, they've got you working the graveyard shift, huh?
Rafe: Yeah, you know. New guy. You got to take whatever you can get.
Arianna: You act like you just randomly lost your job at the FBI, when the truth is you're not...
Rafe: Hey, I don't want to hear it.
Arianna: ...Working for the FBI anymore because of Sami Brady.
Rafe: Really? Is that why you came down here? To harass me about Sami?
Arianna: I'm concerned about my brother.
Rafe: Really? Concerned, huh? Well, that's funny. I mean, really. The way you show your concern -- by insulting the woman that I love. Wow. I mean, really -- what a devoted sister. I just don't know how I'm gonna ever pay you back for your support and compassion.
Arianna: I'm sorry, Rafe, that you think I'm harassing you and you don't see how much I care. It's not just because you're my brother, 'cause, see, I happen to think you're the sweetest, kindest guy I know. But this whole thing with Sami -- it's just like before.
Rafe: No, it is not like before.
Arianna: You might not see it, Rafe, but I do, and that's why I can't let you make the same mistake again. I won't.
Daniel: Let's give her a slow I.V. Push of diazepam -- 1 milligram.
Sami: [Voice breaking] What's wrong with her?
Daniel: And I need you to check her blood glucose.
Yes, doctor.
Sami: Why is this happening?
Daniel: Sami, you are going to have to step out.
Sami: No, no, I just want to stay with my little girl.
Daniel: Nurse?
Come on, hon.
Sami: No, no, I'll just stay here. I'll be quiet. I just want to watch. I just want to --
She's in good hands. The doctor will talk to you as soon as he knows something.
Sami: No, please, just let me stay.
[Monitor beeping steadily]
E.J.: I'm looking for a Stefano DiMera. I just went to his room. He's not there.
Oh, Mr. DiMera's having some tests.
E.J.: Okay, um, I guess I'll wait around. Thank you.
No problem.
E.J.: Samantha? Hey. What's going on? Why are you here?
Sami: My, um... my little girl -- she... [Exhales sharply]
Will: So, as soon as her cousin moves out, she's gonna need a place to stay, and I just thought, if you knew of anything --
Mia: Will...
Maggie: Sweetheart, isn't there anyone in your family that you can stay with?
Mia: Actually, uh, there's only my mom, and she's the last person I can call. But I'll be fine, really.
Maggie: Um, Mia, you know, going out on your own isn't a really good idea -- not just because of your age, but because when you're in the beginning stages of recovery, you need to be around people who are loving and supportive.
Mia: Thank you for your concern, Mrs. Horton. But...I'll figure something out.
Maggie: You don't have to.
Mia: What?
Maggie: I've got it all figured out. You're gonna move in with me.
Nicole: [Giggles]
Chloe: In about half an hour. Yeah. Okay, right. All right, I'll see you there. Love you, too. Bye.
Nicole: That's the third time he's called.
Chloe: Yeah, he likes to check in.
Nicole: Uh-huh. And you hate that, don't you?
Chloe: No.
Nicole: "No"? Oh, come on, Chloe. I know how clingy Lucas gets, and I know how much you like your space.
Chloe: It's fine. We're doing great.
Nicole: Really? Then how come you seemed so sad when I brought up "happily ever after" before?
Chloe: Sad? No. I was just... [Sighs] I don't know. All I want is to make Lucas happy and to be a good stepmother to Allie. I feel like I'm a part of a family now, and it feels good. I really need that.
Nicole: I know what you mean. It's the best feeling in the world, isn't it?
Chloe: Yeah. [Sighs] Now all I have to do is erase a certain doctor from my mind, and everything will be perfect.
Daniel: She's still seizing. Let's give her phenobarbital -- 120 milligrams.
Doctor, are you sure? That's an extremely high --
Daniel: Administer the drug now.
[Grace cries]
Daniel: It's gonna be all right. It'll be all right.
Rafe: You don't want to see me go through what, Ari?
Arianna: You're my brother. I'm worried about you, and I don't want to see history repeat itself.
Rafe: Okay, the past is the past. That's exactly where it is gonna stay. You hear me?
Arianna: I don't like the fact that you gave up your dreams.
Rafe: I didn't. This job right here? It's temporary, okay? You got me? It is so that social services can see that I have an income so that they will see me as fit to adopt Grace. Clear?
Arianna: Aren't you special?
Rafe: You know what? I got to get back to work.
Arianna: Okay, Rafe, wait. Okay, look. I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been sarcastic. I just --
Rafe: Just what, Ari?
Arianna: You're getting so wrapped up in how wonderful it's gonna be to be a daddy, and I don't think you're being realistic. It's a lot of work -- getting up in the middle of the night, changing diapers. It's gonna complicate your life, Rafe.
Rafe: I know that. And it already has. There's the thing, Ari. I love Grace so much that it makes it all worth it... and Sami, too, but, uh, you've already noticed that, and for whatever reason, it really seems to piss you off.
Arianna: What?
Rafe: Yeah.
Arianna: No.
Rafe: Oh, yeah. No, you liked it better when we were both alone and miserable, and now that I've found somebody, you feel abandoned. That's the truth, isn't it? Isn't it, Ari?
E.J.: Grace is ill?
Sami: She was totally fine. She was fine and happy one second, and then the next, she -- she had this fever. She was burning up. And then... and then her little body -- it started to...to shake. She was having these seizures.
E.J.: Come on. They looking after her?
Sami: Dr. Jonas is.
E.J.: Okay. She's in good hands.
Sami: I just can't stand waiting for something, you know? And I called Rafe, and -- and, uh, he's not answering the phone. I think it must be off. She just, uh... she just has to be okay.
E.J.: She will be. She'll be fine, okay? Listen, I'll stay here with you as long as you need.
Will: That is a great idea, aunt Maggie. You're the best.
Maggie: Mia, it isn't permanent. I mean, if you're not comfortable staying with me, you can leave at any time. I won't make you sign a lease. [Laughs]
Mia: I just still can't believe how open you are. I mean, you barely know me.
Maggie: Any friend of Will's.
Will: So, what do you say?
Mia: Well... I guess as long as it's not permanent.
Maggie: [Laughs]
Will: Sweet.
Mia: Oh, but under one condition.
Maggie: Okay. What's that?
Mia: You have to let me pay rent. I will get a job as soon as school's out.
Maggie: As long as this work doesn't interfere with your meetings.
Mia: Oh, no, it won't. Yeah, no, I promise. Uh, I will go to all of my 12-step meetings, and I will stay clean and sober.
Maggie: Good.
Arianna: I do not feel abandoned, okay? I want you to be happy. What makes you think I'm not?
Rafe: A lot of things. Let's see. For one, you're way too focused on me.
Arianna: Because I'm not a self-centered person?
Rafe: [Laughs] Right. Yeah, that's it.
Arianna: Okay, could you not laugh?
Rafe: So, when was the last date that you went on?
Arianna: Last night. Fabulous guy.
Rafe: Yeah, I'll bet.
Arianna: Okay, well, at least I'm not taking on a ready-made family to hide from the past.
Rafe: Oh, yeah. It's back on me now, isn't it?
Arianna: Well, that's what you're doing, right, Rafe? Admit it.
Rafe: My relationship with Sami and her kids, for that matter, has nothing to do with Heidi. It's good, and it's real, and it's honest.
Arianna: If that's what you really think, then you're even more deluded than I thought.
Nicole: So, this doctor... you haven't been able to erase him from your mind?
Chloe: [Sighs] I shouldn't have said that.
Nicole: Yeah, well, you can't take it back now. Chloe, I thought you were gonna try and forget about Daniel.
Chloe: Trying and succeeding -- two different things.
Nicole: And it hasn't gotten any better now that you're married.
Chloe: Worse. 'Cause now I know that I can't have him.
Nicole: Which makes you want him even more.
Chloe: Nicole, I am really, really trying to build a new life for myself with Lucas and Allie, and I really do love them both so much. You know what? Speaking of which, I've got to go. I've got to go meet them at the pub.
Nicole: Okay, well, thanks for coming over.
Chloe: Uh, yeah. Oh, um, hey, I heard about Stefano. Would you give E.J. my best?
Nicole: Yeah, actually, um, I'm gonna go to the hospital in a little bit and see how he's doing. [Laughs] What?
Chloe: I'm sorry. It's just -- you know what? You do seem really comfortable being here -- being a DiMera wife.
Nicole: Yeah, well... [Chuckles] You know, the DiMera part I could do without, but the wife part? Oh, I love it. And I love E.J. And this cute little girl in here? She's the one who's made it all possible.
Sami: Hey, will, it's your mom. I just wanted to let you know that I'm at the hospital with your sister -- with Grace. She's, um, she's sick, so I'm gonna be here for a little -- I'll call you back, will. I love you. Hey, uh, so, how's my baby? How's Grace?
The doctor will be with you shortly.
Sami: Isn't there something you could tell me now?
Maxine, would you take a look at this?
Excuse me.
E.J.: Excuse me. Excuse me, ladies. My friend has been waiting over an hour for news about her daughter.
Mr. DiMera, if -- if you would just wait a minute, I --
E.J.: No, what I would like is for you to go and find Dr. Jonas and get some information. Now, please.
Of course.
E.J.: Thank you. It's okay. It's gonna be all right. Okay? I'm not going anywhere. I'll stay with you.
Sami: [Sniffles]
E.J.: It's okay.
Will: Mom? I guess she's out with Grace. She's not here. Are you hungry? You want some pizza?
Mia: Sure.
Will: What do you like?
Mia: Uh, anything but anchovies, usually.
Will: [Chuckles] Same. You know, I'm really glad you're gonna be sticking around.
Mia: So am I.
Will: You're gonna love staying with aunt Maggie. She's great. Trust me.
Mia: I just hope she knows, you know, I'm serious about helping out with rent.
Will: Yeah. No, I mean, maybe I could talk to my mom, you know? See if she needs, like, a part-time nanny or something.
Mia: That would be perfect.
Will: Yeah, she'd probably go for it, too. She really likes you.
Mia: I just wish your dad did.
Will: Look, just forget about my dad, okay? It doesn't matter what he thinks.
Mia: Do you think things would be different if...
Will: What?
Mia: ...If I never had a drug problem, do you think your dad would still hate me?
Chloe: Hey, guys. Hi. How's my favorite little girl, huh? [Smooches, gasps playfully] That's such a pretty picture, Allie. Hi, honey.
Lucas: Hey, not as pretty as you.
Chloe: Aw.
Lucas: Remind me to not let this one start dating until she's at least 30, all right?
Chloe: Ah, that ought to go over well.
Lucas: You know what? Maybe you can talk to him.
Chloe: Talk to...
Lucas: Talk to will.
Chloe: What about?
Lucas: Well, he's got a thing for this girl.
Chloe: Really? What? Someone from school?
Lucas: Yeah, yeah, but the problem is, she just got out of rehab.
Chloe: Oh.
Lucas: Right. And when I warned him, when I tried to tell him that I didn't think it was a good idea that he hung out with her, I didn't want him to see her, he kind of lost it.
Chloe: Wait, y-you told him that? That he can't see this girl?
Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I did. You bet I did.
Chloe: Lucas, oh, my God.
Lucas: What? What's the matter with that?
Chloe: You can't do that. If you tell a teenager one thing, it's pretty much guaranteed that they're gonna do just the opposite.
Lucas: Right. Reverse psychology. My mom used that on me all the time in high school. Works like a charm. You're so smart. I'll just tell him I changed my mind -- that, not only do I want him to date this woman, I want him to marry her and have a lot of kids with her and be happy with a white picket fence.
Chloe: [Laughs] Exactly. He'll be so turned off, he'll break up with her immediately. "Ew, my dad really likes my girlfriend. That's so gross."
Lucas: How do you do it? So smart.
Chloe: Mm, I know.
Lucas: What would I do without you?
Rafe: So, whenever someone doesn't agree with you, they're deluded, right?
Arianna: Usually.
Rafe: Because your life is so damn perfect.
Arianna: Because I have good instincts about people -- women especially. And from the minute I laid eyes on Sami Brady --
Rafe: All right, stop. All right, just stop. The conversation that we are having is over.
Arianna: Fine. You want to mess up your life? Go for it. I'm not gonna say another word.
Rafe: Good. Great seeing you, as always.
Nicole: [Clears throat] So, you traded in your cable-guy disguise for a hard hat. [Clears throat] That was a joke. Uh, actually... I think it's admirable... what you did? And now you got yourself a job to support your new daughter.
Rafe: Your approval means the world to me.
Nicole: I mean it. Family should be a priority. And speaking of family, what just happened with your sister? Let me guess. She doesn't approve of the adoption...which is a shame. Because children are such a blessing. And, uh, Sami's baby is lucky... that a guy like you wants to be her daddy.
Sami: Voicemail. Rafe, it's Sami. Just please call me when you get this, okay? [Sighs]
E.J.: He probably just turns it off at work.
Sami: Yeah, yeah, I'm sure you're right.
E.J.: I was, uh, I was thinking earlier. You remember when Johnny had that -- that funny rash. You thought it was a flesh-eating virus. [Chuckles]
Sami: [Chuckles] Yeah, yeah. I, uh, I've been known to overreact.
E.J.: Well, it was an allergy. He was fine. Grace is gonna be fine, too.
Sami: She's a wonderful little girl. She's really smart. I can tell already.
E.J.: She's lucky, too. She has you for a mother. You can't do much better than that.
Lucas: He's gonna think it's a little weird, though, that I changed my mind all of a sudden, and now I'm encouraging him to date this girl.
Chloe: He's a teenager. They think everything parents say is weird.
Lucas: Eh, right again. Whoa, you're drawing all over that paper. You want some more paper? We'll get some more from the back, okay? Grandma will help us out with that, I'm sure.
Chloe: Yeah, go see great-grandma. Oh, if the waitress comes?
Lucas: Uh, just get me the usual. That's fine.
Chloe: Okay.
Lucas: All right. I'll be back.
Maggie: Chloe.
Chloe: Maggie, hi.
Maggie: Is everything all right?
Chloe: Not really. Actually, I was thinking of calling you.
Maggie: Did Lucas remember more about the explosion?
Chloe: He hasn't brought it up, no.
Maggie: Well, then, what is it? What are you so upset about?
Chloe: Well, I've been thinking that, um, maybe I should.
Maggie: Should?
Chloe: Bring it up to him.
Maggie: [Sighs] I'm not following you, Chloe.
Chloe: W-what you told him that night -- what he can't remember. Maggie, I've been thinking that it's time that I tell him about my affair with Daniel.
Will: Hey, just stop worrying about my dad, okay? I mean, you had a drug problem. So what? You got help, and now you're fine. I mean, isn't that what's important?
Mia: I guess.
Will: And look, nobody -- not my dad, not the kids at school -- nobody's gonna say anything that will change my mind about you.
Nicole: So... you working all night?
Rafe: [Chuckles] What are you doing here, anyway?
Nicole: Well, I was on my way to the hospital, but I thought I'd stop at the market on front street. They have this organic baby food that Sydney loves. You should check it out for Grace.
Rafe: Oh, really? I'm just curious. When did we become buddies all of a sudden?
Nicole: Well, I was just trying to be helpful -- offering some parent-to-parent advice.
Rafe: No, actually, there's always an ulterior motive with you. So, what is it? What do you want from me?
Maggie: So, you think by telling Lucas the truth now, before someone else does, he will be more forgiving?
Chloe: You think that's just wishful thinking?
Maggie: [Sighs] Well, you already know how I feel, Chloe.
Chloe: You think I should tell him.
Maggie: Chloe, I know Kate promised you that, um, she would keep quiet, keep it a secret, but do you really trust her enough to take that risk? Be honest with him, Chloe. You owe him that much. I got to go.
Sami: Oh, hey, Dr. Jonas. So, how is she? How's Grace? What's wrong with her?
Nicole: Can't I be happy for you and Sami without having an ulterior motive?
Rafe: [Scoffs]
Nicole: Okay, wait. Don't -- don't answer that. [Sighs] Look, I think this adoption is terrific for Grace. She needs a loving family with both parents, and, like I said, I'm sure you will make a wonderful dad.
Rafe: [Chuckles]
Nicole: What?
Rafe: Oh, no. It's just, um... you know, when I worked for the feds, I heard a lot of creative storytelling, but I got to tell you -- that's really good. Specific.
Nicole: Well, I'm sorry you feel that way, but believe it or not, Rafe, I hope that everything works out for you and your new family.
Rafe: Damn it. I forgot to charge it last night. It's dead.
Lucas: [Clears throat] Sorry I took so long.
Chloe: Hey, no problem. Where's Allie?
Lucas: She's in the back. Grandma Caroline's making pie, so she wanted to watch.
Chloe: Mmm. Actually, um, I'm glad that we have this time alone.
Lucas: Really? Me too. Maybe we can have some dinner, finally, just the two of us.
Chloe: Yeah, um, I hope this isn't the last time.
Lucas: What? Why would you say that?
Chloe: Lucas, um, I need to tell you something.
Will: So, large, two toppings, with an order of breadsticks? What do you think -- sausage and pepperoni?
Mia: Sounds great.
[Cellphone rings]
Will: Um... [Sighs] There's a message from my mom. I must have had my ringer off. [Sighs]
Mia: [Chuckles softly] Will, what's wrong?
Will: She's at the hospital. Grace is really sick.
Daniel: We managed to stop the seizures.
Sami: Okay. So, do you know what caused them? I mean, why they happened?
Daniel: Well, this could be what we call fibral seizures. It's quite common in most infants and small children, but the good news is that they're harmless.
Sami: What? That's great news. Oh, my God. That's such a relief. So, she's okay? I can take her home?
Daniel: Well, because her seizures lasted longer than we expected, we'd just like to run some tests -- E.E.G., Do some blood work.
Sami: Blood work?
Daniel: Yeah. Well, just to make sure we got the right diagnosis, okay? Or make sure there wasn't anything serious, like an infection, or even something inherited from her biological family.
Roman: You become a Kiriakis, all bets are off. Just ask yourself -- is it worth it?
Stefano: Stephanie is not going to say anything because we will make sure of that.
Daniel: I am gonna need you to fight, little Grace. You need to fight like hell.
Lucas: You're ready to face reality is what you're saying.
Sami: I don't have a choice.
