[Soft piano music plays]
Ava: Thank you, Rolf. Well, this may not be the most exciting Fourth I've ever spent, but at least I don't have to wait in line for food.
Nicole: Yeah, and the, uh, booze comes in a bottle instead of a keg.
E.J.: All right. You know what I'd prefer? I would prefer a nice, old-fashioned, American-style barbecue -- hot dogs, hamburgers, and some apple pie. What do you say?
Ava: Mmm.
Nicole: Mmm.
E.J.: Okay. Rolf, would you be kind enough to fire up the grill and throw some wienies on there?
Nicole: Um, did you really just say "wienies"?
E.J.: Uh, I thought that was what you Americans called them.
Dr. Rolf: I don't do wienies.
E.J.: Okay. If you could find some bratwurst, that would be great. Thank you.
Dr. Rolf: [Clears throat] [Electricity crackles]
Ava: Ooh. What was that?
E.J.: I would imagine it's probably the heat wave. The city's power grid is overloaded.
[Cellphone ringing]
E.J.: Ladies, would you be kind enough to excuse me? I'm sorry. I have to take this. Work.
Ava: Oh. Work on a holiday?
E.J.: Unfortunately so. Yeah.
Ava: Okay. Let's have it.
Nicole: Have what?
Ava: Come on. You were in a good mood when I spoke to you earlier. What happened?
Nicole: Just the usual.
Ava: The usual E.J.?
Nicole: You know, you would think I would get it through my thick head that this is hopeless.
Ava: No. I still don't think that. Come on, Nicole. You can't give up, because as soon as he gets it through his thick head that it's not happening with Sami, then you --
Nicole: That's just it, Ava. E.J. thinks he has a chance with Sami now. And you know what? He probably does.
E.J.: Mrs. Sykes, go and spend the Fourth with your family, okay? I can assure you the court order will be filed as soon as the holiday is over. You're welcome. [Dialing] Samantha, um, I was hoping to catch you. I just wanted to call and tell you how very happy you made me. I hope that we can continue our conversation tonight. [Clears throat]
Chloe: Nope. No plans for the Fourth. Of course I'll be fine, Mom. You know, you guys go enjoy the barbecue and tell dad and joy that I love them, okay? All right. Bye. [Sighs] Mm. What's the point? [Cellphone rings] [Beep] Hello.
Lucas: Chloe.
Chloe: Lucas, hi. Um, I was just about to call you.
Lucas: Oh, yeah?
Chloe: Yeah, I kind of needed someone to talk to.
Lucas: Well, I could use someone to talk to myself. I need a friend right now. You want to burden each other?
Chloe: I don't think it's such a good idea I come over. John seems to have a real problem with me.
Lucas: All right. Then I'll come to you. Where are you?
Chloe: I'm about to head home, but, Lucas, you cannot risk getting caught again. You have too much at stake.
Lucas: Not anymore.
Chloe: What do you mean?
Lucas: I'll explain it to you when I get there. Are you gonna be okay till then?
Chloe: Yeah, of course. I'll be fine. But, seriously, it is not smart --
Lucas: Listen, I'm coming to your room right now. I'm on my way.
Ava: You are not a quitter, Nicole.
Nicole: I know. I know. But, seriously, I do not want nor do I need the heartache.
Ava: What happened?
Nicole: E.J. told me that Sami admitted she had feelings for him.
Ava: She admitted it? When?
Nicole: Last night. Somehow he got it out of her, and now it's only a matter of time before they're together.
Ava: You really think they're gonna end up together?
Nicole: What difference does it make? I mean, as long as E.J. thinks he has a prayer, he will not give up -- never.
Ava: I think you're wrong, okay? I just think it's a matter of the right time, the right place, and then, oh, honey, you are gonna make him forget all about her. You're hot. You're amazing. Come on.
Nicole: And I love you for that. Okay. Thank you.
Ava: You're welcome. You know what? I'm gonna go find John. We got to get this party going. Cheer up.
Nicole: Thank you. [Electricity crackles]
John: Mm. [Doorbell rings] Rol-- oh. Hello, Blondie. Happy...Fourth. But I assume you're not here to help me celebrate America's Independence.
Marlena: No. No. I came to see if you have come to your senses. And if you haven't, I'm not leaving until you do.
Julie: I thought the twins looked so adorable in their little outfits -- so cute in the red and the white and the blue.
Doug: Yeah, they did -- almost as cute as Betsy Ross and Uncle Sam.
Julie: Oh, you darling, you. [Chuckles]
Caroline: Victor. Oh, what a nice surprise. Oh, I'm so glad you came.
Victor: Well, I made a point to. I knew you'd be here. I know you're still grieving for Shawn. The holidays are hard -- so many memories.
Caroline: That's true. It's very true.
Victor: So, I figured you could use a friend today.
Caroline: Oh, more than you'll ever know. [Door closes]
Bo: Oh, hey, Ma, Victor.
Hope: We finally have the deviled eggs. Oh, Victor, I'm so glad you could make it.
Caroline: Yeah, I was just telling him that.
Bo: Have either of you seen my daughter?
Caroline: Which one?
Bo: Chelsea.
Hope: I haven't seen Chelsea, but Ciara's upstairs taking a nap.
Caroline: I haven't seen her.
Victor: I just got here.
Caroline: What's -- you look kind of worried. Anything wrong?
Bo: No, no. Uh, I just thought she'd be here by now.
Caroline: Oh. Okay.
Chelsea: I'm really glad that you're here. The Fourth of July is like my all-time favorite holiday.
Daniel: Oh, yeah? But will your father be glad? That's the question.
Chelsea: Well, we're about to find out. Come on.
Daniel: Wait, wait. Wait. First, um... I would like A...kiss... for luck.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
John: We've been through this, Blondie.
Marlena: You know what? The last time we were together, um, I let my anger get the better of me. I just want to apologize for that.
John: It happens. Apology accepted.
Marlena: See, I just -- I don't understand how you can -- how you can hesitate... to get your life back -- your memories, yourself back.
John: Well, sometimes the devil that you know is better than the one that you don't.
Marlena: That's not funny.
John: I'm not laughing.
Marlena: Don't you understand? Your entire life could be on that disk. I-I just hope that you've given this so much careful thought.
John: Oh, I have, and I've made up my mind. You said it yourself -- my life could be on that disk or it could be someone else's or it could be whatever. Therefore I'm not even gonna try to access that disk. I'm leaving it alone.
Marlena: John, please.
John: I'm sorry, Blondie, but the man that you knew and loved is dead and gone. The sooner you accept that, the better.
E.J.: Okay. Booze, food, music. Where is everybody? This is supposed to be a bloody party.
Nicole: Yes, well, Ava is looking for our host, and Lucas didn't want to join the party. I know how he feels.
E.J.: Look, I'm sorry if what I said earlier upset you, okay? I didn't mean to be insensitive.
Nicole: [Chuckles] Insensitive? You? No.
E.J.: Nicole, I just thought it was important to be honest with you. Samantha told me she had feelings for me. I thought you should know.
Nicole: Forget about it. It's not a big deal.
E.J.: It kind of is a big deal. You know, we nearly slept together.
Nicole: Ah, but we didn't, and I very wisely put a stop to it.
E.J.: You did, and thank you. I was very hurt. I really didn't know... what I was thinking.
Nicole: I know. Your heart belongs to Sami. Good luck with that.
E.J.: Thank you. I don't know if I'm gonna need luck, exactly.
Nicole: Hmm. We'll see.
E.J.: Well, she did just admit that she had feelings for me.
Nicole: That doesn't mean she's gonna leave Lucas. In fact, I think it's highly unlikely.
E.J.: Really? You think so?
Nicole: Mm-hmm.
E.J.: Okay. Do you want to make a wager on that?
Maggie: I can't believe Sami's been here and gone already.
Mickey: She said she wanted to get home to Lucas so he could spend more time with the babies.
Maggie: Well, it's too bad he couldn't be here.
Mickey: Yeah, it is. But even being stuck in the DiMera mansion is better than spending the holiday in prison.
Maggie: Yeah. Well, I know being in that house is difficult. You know what? It's difficult for all of them.
Mickey: Well, you know, E.J. mentioned there have been issues between the three of them.
Maggie: Yeah, it's not surprising under the circumstances. You know, I don't know how any of them are doing it and how much longer they can keep on going this way. Three's a crowd, Mickey.
Mickey: Yeah, I remember.
Maggie: Yeah, so do I. Unfortunately, like you, me, and Bonnie, eventually something's got to give. Leg?
Mickey: Oh. Yeah. [Chuckles]
Chloe: Hello?
Lucas: Hey, it's me. I'm just calling to make sure the coast is clear.
Chloe: Lucas, I'm glad you're here. I was getting worried you got caught.
Lucas: No. I'll be right there.
Hope: I'm so disappointed. I'm so sad that Gran's not here. It just isn't the same without her.
Bo: No, it is not.
Hope: But we have her doughnuts.
Bo: Thanks for that.
Doug: [Chuckling] Okay.
Bo: Hey, Ma.
Caroline: Hi.
Bo: Where's Victor?
Caroline: He had to take a call. Did you ever find Chelsea?
Bo: There she is now... with her date.
Daniel: It's just not cooling off, is it?
Chelsea: No. I think it's only gonna get hotter.
Daniel: Maybe a nice, cold beer.
Chelsea: Yeah, but I'm not on call.
Daniel: I'm not, either.
Chelsea: That's good.
Daniel: Yeah, but I'm gonna need one right before I see your father, okay?
Chelsea: Well, the cooler's over here.
Daniel: Show me the way.
Chelsea: Grandpa, hey. It's good to see you.
Victor: Good to see you. I missed you.
Chelsea: I missed you, too.
Victor: Daniel, nice to see you. I didn't know you'd be here.
Daniel: Well, this beautiful woman here just is holding me hostage. What could I do, right?
Chelsea: Grandpa, Daniel is my date for the night.
Victor: Your date?
Chelsea: Yeah. You're like the only person I feel comfortable telling 'cause I knew you'd approve.
Victor: Can I have a word with you, Daniel, privately?
Nicole: I will take that bet anywhere, anytime.
E.J.: Good, 'cause you're gonna lose.
Nicole: [Chuckles] Am I? You seem to forget how well I know your precious little Sami. You know, even if she was madly in love with you, she would deny it to her dying day because she is desperately trying to convince herself and anyone who will listen that she's a changed woman. She would never dump her Lucas and take up with the likes of you.
E.J.: That's an annoyingly astute observation.
Nicole: Surprise. Surprise. I actually have a brain.
E.J.: I didn't mean it like that. But nonetheless, look, her resolve can only hold out for so long. She's already starting to crack, and sooner or later she's gonna tell Lucas he's out.
Nicole: You're dreaming.
E.J.: Am I? Am I really? Okay. Why didn't she tell Lucas the annulment went through? I'll tell you why. Because deep down inside, she doesn't want to be with him. She wants to be with me.
Marlena: How can you say that man is dead and gone? You have no way of knowing.
John: I have no way of knowing what's on that disk. Therefore I'm not plugging anything into my brain until you tell me exactly where you got it!
Marlena: I can't do that. You know I can't. But that isn't important, John. No. What is important is what could be on the disk. Your life. Your memories. Our life. Falling in love, getting married, having Belle -- having our daughter.
John: Not necessarily in that order, if I understand it correctly.
Marlena: Don't you be flip with me. I want my husband back... and I want you happy... and at peace. And I don't think the man you are can be that way.
John: I'm sorry.
Marlena: Give me the disk. Just let me... hold it in safekeeping in -- in case you change your mind.
John: I'm not gonna change my mind...and the disk belongs to me. Now, if you'll excuse me, I've been neglecting my guests. Forgive me for my absence. I hope that you're enjoying yourselves.
Nicole: Oh, yes. I'm enjoying the refreshments and, uh, a certain sideshow.
John: Well, it's good to know. It is interesting, isn't it? By the way, have either of you seen my date?
Nicole: Oh, uh, I think she went looking for you.
John: Well, I've been right here. [Electricity crackles]
Dr. Rolf: Excuse me, sir, if I may have a word with ---
John: Excuse us. What is it, Rolf? I'm trying to entertain.
Dr. Rolf: We have a problem. Someone has entered the lab. Security has been breached!
[Laughter, indistinct conversations]
Hope: How's that pie?
Julie: As you can see, a memory only.
Maggie: [Laughs]
Bo: It looks like I'm not the only one who has a problem with your date.
Chelsea: We're just hanging out and having a good time. What's the big deal?
Bo: The big deal is that he's a hell of a lot older than you are and a hell of a lot more experienced.
Chelsea: We're both adults. We're not hurting anybody.
Bo: Well, that's just the thing. I got a feeling he'll end up hurting you.
Chelsea: Thanks for the vote of confidence, Dad. It's just what I needed.
Hope: I'll go after her.
Bo: No. [Door closes] I will.
Hope: Go easy.
Bo: Yeah.
Doug: I can recall a few father/daughter moments like that when you were her age.
Hope: Oh, yes. So can I, Daddy. But the thing is, everything ended up okay, didn't it?
Maggie: It sure did.
Caroline: Better than okay. But then, you didn't have Victor to contend with.
Victor: I'm just saying you could have talked to me first, told me you were interested in my granddaughter.
Daniel: With all due respect, I wasn't aware I needed your permission.
Victor: I'm just talking about common courtesy. I don't like surprises.
Daniel: Look, no offense. This just all happened kind of suddenly. We just had our first date last night, and you were there when I asked her out for dinner.
Victor: Well, I thought that's all it was.
Daniel: Look, it's not like we're getting married. Come on.
Victor: Well, knowing you as I do, Daniel, I'm sure that's true.
Daniel: I'm no saint, but let's be clear. I would never do anything to hurt Chelsea.
Victor: No, not intentionally.
Daniel: No. Not ever.
Victor: Look, God knows I'm fond of you, Daniel. I mean, you're practically family, but that being said, I just don't think your good relationship material for my granddaughter.
Daniel: Again, with all due respect, who are you to be giving relationship advice?
Sami: [Exhales deeply] Nicole. Damn it. [Sighs] [Dialing]
Nicole: Okay, so 100 bucks it is on our little wager.
E.J.: Easy money, my darling. [Cellphone ringing] Easy money. Excuse me.
Nicole: Uh-huh.
E.J.: Hello?
Sami: Hey. E.J., um, listen, I have to talk to you.
E.J.: How's the, uh, barbecue?
Sami: Uh, it's fine. Fine.
E.J.: Do you have any idea what time you're coming home?
Sami: Uh, not for a while, actually.
E.J.: The twins having a good time?
Sami: Yes, yes, uh, they are. Listen, hey, um, look, I have to talk to you about something, and it can't wait.
E.J.: Sure. Um, what is it?
Sami: I just want to be clear, okay? I want you to understand that no matter what I may or may not feel, you and I could never be together. We do not have a future together.
E.J.: Samantha --
Sami: I love Lucas. I will always love Lucas. He is the man I intend to spend the rest of my life with. I rephrase that -- I will spend the rest of my life with him.
E.J.: Look, I know that -- I know that's what you want to believe.
Sami: Just stop it, okay? I don't know what else to say to get this through your head. But I am never gonna love you the way that you want me to, so you have to stop chasing after someone who doesn't want to be with you. E.J., find someone that you can be happy with and leave me and Lucas alone. [Exhales sharply]
Nicole: Sami, huh? Did she blow you off? Hmm. Easy money. Fastest 100 bucks I ever made. Yeah, everything's quiet at the Salem Inn. Not a single drunk or partier, but it's still pretty early.
[Electricity crackles]
John: Hello, Ava. What are you doing here? .
Nicole: Uh, f-forget about the 100 bucks. It was a stupid bet. E.J., you can't keep doing this to yourself. It's... [Exhales deeply] It's time to let her go.
E.J.: [Clears throat] Good point. Good point. I've had enough, you know? I am through groveling, and I am through chasing. If she wants to be with Lucas, she can be with Lucas. I'm not standing around like an idiot any longer.
Nicole: Well, where are you going?
E.J.: I have absolutely no idea. Would you like to come?
Nicole: Yeah. Uh, let's go to my place. I mean, friends, of course. We can play a game -- Twister, something.
E.J.: Okay. Um, I'm gonna go and get the driver.
Nicole: [Exhales deeply] [Piano music continues]
Victor: I take great offense at that remark.
Daniel: I only meant that you've had several marriages, and you got this thing with Nicole.
Victor: Yes, I haven't had much luck with my relationships, but I can tell you this -- I know trouble when I see it coming.
Daniel: Oh, and I'm trouble?
Victor: I just don't want to see Chelsea get hurt.
Daniel: Neither do I. So, for know, we are just hanging out. This is just our second date. But just so you know, I have no intentions at all of it being our last.
Bo: I'm sorry, kid. I didn't mean to upset you.
Chelsea: I know that you're just trying to look out for me, but I would really appreciate it if you and everybody else would, um, give Daniel and me a chance before jumping to negative conclusions. I like him...a lot.
Bo: I understand that, and that's exactly why I'm concerned.
Chelsea: Okay. So you're saying that because I could get hurt, I shouldn't even take a chance? Is that what happened with you and Hope? 'Cause from what I hear -- and correct me if I'm wrong -- everybody was telling Hope to stay away from you. But she didn't listen because she knew that if she didn't put her heart on the line, she could potentially miss out on the best thing that ever happened to her. And, look, I-I know that I might not get the same happy ending that you and Hope did, but... whatever happens, at least I could say I tried... and I might even learn something for next time.
Bo: When did you become so grown-up and wise?
Chelsea: Well, I've made a lot of mistakes, and I could be making another one... but it doesn't feel like it. It feels really right. But either way... I got to figure that out on my own.
Bo: You're right. You do. You're not a little girl anymore... and I got to step back.
Chelsea: Not all the way back. I mean, if he does hurt me, you're gonna have to kick his butt. You know that, right?
Bo: And I will gladly do that. Come here.
Chelsea: Thank you.
Bo: Thank you.
Chloe: What's going on? I thought you were coming up. What happened?
Lucas: The cop who arrested me for breaking my house arrest the second time is in the lobby, and if he sees me, then --
Chloe: You'd be dead.
Nicole: You know, I should really call Ava and apologize for splitting like that, not that I think she cares, but it'd be nice. Ohh. Lights. Unless, of course, that's the champagne kicking in.
E.J.: You know... [Clears throat] maybe we should take the stairs if there's a problem with the power.
Nicole: Yeah, no. I'm on the sixth floor, and I am a little bit tipsy, or should I say a lot tipsy? Come on. It'll be fine. After me. E.J., everything's gonna be fine. We're gonna go upstairs, we're gonna hang out, we're gonna have a great time, and you're gonna forget all about Sami.
E.J.: Okay. I'm not entirely sure I can forget about Samantha, but I'll give it a shot.
Nicole: Well... maybe all you need is a little help.
E.J.: Aah! [Thud] Whoa.
Nicole: Uh-oh.
Chloe: What happened?
Lucas: The damn power must have blown.
Chloe: We have to get it going. Oh, thank God. It's back. Okay. How come we're not moving?
Lucas: I don't know. I think those are just the emergency lights.
Chloe: What are we gonna do?
Lucas: There's nothing we can do. We don't have any electricity. Calm down.
Chloe: Oh, my God.
Lucas: What -- what's the matter with you?
Chloe: I'm claustrophobic. I need to get out of here now.
Lucas: All right. Do me a favor and try to calm down. Just look at me, all right? Stay focused and just try to relax yourself, all right? Get your breathing down or something. Think about good things.
E.J.: Hello? Hello, hello. Well... we are stuck. I believe the heat wave has caused some kind of power outage.
Nicole: Hmm. Well, it's a good thing I brought champagne.
E.J.: Wow.
Nicole: Yep.
E.J.: It's a pretty good year.
Nicole: It is. I got it from your house.
E.J.: Of course you did.
Nicole: Yeah.
Lucas: Just relax, okay? Hang on right here and don't think about being in an elevator. Just imagine you're someplace else. I mean, isn't that what they say?
Chloe: What am I gonna think of? I can't think of anything else.
Lucas: I don't know. Um, you seemed distracted before, like you were upset. Maybe -- maybe it was about Philip or something.
Chloe: Yeah. I saw him again with Morgan. [Sighs]
Lucas: I'm sorry. I'm sorry he's hurt you.
Chloe: Yeah, well, I should have known better. Anyway, it's over. So, what's going on with Sami?
Lucas: Not much. I overheard E.J. telling Nicole that Sami's admitted to having feelings for him -- nothing big.
Chloe: Wow. I guess we're both in a really bad place.
Nicole: It is so hot in here. [Cork pops]
E.J.: Oh!
Nicole: Ow. Ow!
E.J.: [Laughing]
Nicole: Okay.
E.J.: Cool you down?
Nicole: Wow. You know what? I'm gonna make you take your clothes off for that. Oh! You know what? This may -- the perfect occasion. I have playing cards in my purse.
E.J.: [Laughing] Okay.
Nicole: Strip poker. Just kidding. Strip solitaire?
E.J.: How about we start with a straight game of poker? Here. Hold this. Sit down.
Nicole: [Chuckles]
E.J.: Come on. You cooler?
Nicole: Yeah, I'm cooler. [Chuckles]
E.J.: All right. Let the lady decide.
Nicole: Mm-hmm.
E.J.: What do you want to play? Texas hold 'em? Omaha hi? Five-card stud? Seven-card draw?
Nicole: Whoa. Slow down, champ, okay? I forgot to bring my green poker visor.
E.J.: Okay. Well, I forgot my lucky frog, so that makes us even.
Nicole: Cute. Mm-hmm. You know, you're really funny when you want to be. So, how did Sami get so lucky and you so unlucky?
E.J.: Oh, I don't know. How about you?
Nicole: Me? Well, I have no one to be unlucky with.
E.J.: Don't take this the wrong way, but, uh, maybe you should keep it like that, you know? You've come a long way since I met you. I mean, you're no longer a fall-down, self-centered drunk.
Nicole: Oh. Ow.
E.J.: I'm serious. You're somebody I'm very proud to call my friend. You've been a very welcome breath of fresh air for me, and you've given me some good advice, for which I am very grateful.
Nicole: Then why don't you take it?
John: We're locked in. Because of the power failure, we are now prisoners to this laboratory. I have the ability to override the electronic locks, but first things first.
Ava: Look, John, I'm -- I'm sorry. I'm sorry for sneaking down here, but I was concerned.
John: Concerned about what?
Ava: I overheard you and Marlena, and I didn't want her talking you into something that you might regret.
John: So you came to destroy my disk?
Ava: No. I don't know what I came down here to do, okay? I-I acted on impulse. But I know that I don't want to lose you. This you. So, yeah, yeah, I think you should destroy that disk before Marlena or somebody else changes your mind.
Victor: All right. I'll ease off for the moment, but I'm gonna keep an eye out, all the same.
Daniel: Well, I need to get back to my date.
Julie: Everybody, have you heard the news? Grandma just called. Salem is experiencing a massive blackout.
Caroline: I was afraid that was gonna happen.
Doug: Well, hey, good thing that you and Bo have gone solar.
Hope: Yeah, tell me about it. Our batteries should last till the power's back on. Chez Rouge and the pub should be fine, right?
Maggie: As far as I know.
Mickey: Well, if I wasn't convinced about all this "going green" stuff before, I certainly am now.
Together: Uh-oh.
Hope: I think I spoke too soon. I better go find Bo. Ohh. Sorry.
Maggie: Okay, fireflies, where are you?
Chelsea: What do you think happened to the lights?
Bo: I don't know. It looks like our green house just went black.
Hope: Hey, what's going on?
Bo: Not quite sure. I'll go find out.
Hope: I'm gonna come with you.
Bo: All right.
Hope: Excuse me, Daniel. [Door closes]
Daniel: You, uh, you all right?
Chelsea: Yeah.
Daniel: Yeah?
Chelsea: Is everything okay with my grandpa?
Daniel: You know, your family's just concerned about you.
Chelsea: Yeah, I know. I'm sorry.
Daniel: Don't be. It's a good thing. You know what? I'm not worried.
Chelsea: Really?
Daniel: Really.
Maggie: Oh!
Julie: Beautiful! Look at that! Oh, it just looks gorgeous!
Hope: So, I take it your conversation went smoothly with Chelsea?
Bo: Yeah. We had a nice talk. I agreed to back off on this Daniel thing. I have no idea what's wrong with this.
Hope: Good. Glad to hear it.
Bo: What?
Hope: About the Chelsea thing -- uh, the Daniel/Chelsea -- that whole thing.
Bo: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, this doesn't mean I still don't have reservations about the guy.
Hope: But you're gonna keep your opinion to yourself, Mr. Brady.
Bo: [Exhales deeply] If he doesn't hurt my daughter, I won't hurt him.
John: You want me to... destroy this disk because you're concerned that if I...access the data and recover my memories --
Ava: That this amazing man that I am just starting to know is gonna disappear, and I don't want that to happen. John, do you really think that if you get all of your memories back that you're gonna be happy with the life that you used to lead?
John: [Exhales deeply]
Ava: Because I think something very profound has changed inside of you and you like it... just like I do. So come on. Do what we both know is right. Just destroy the disk. Come on. Do what we both know is right.
Marlena: John -- John, don't do it! Don't listen to her! Don't throw your life away! I'm begging you! Please don't do that! John!
Chelsea: You know something? I kind of hope that it stays like this.
Daniel: Oh, yeah?
Chelsea: Yeah.
Daniel: Why's that?
Chelsea: That way, nobody will freak out when I do this. [Fireworks popping]
Bo: I think the lights came on in the whole neighborhood.
Chloe: [Sighs]
Lucas: How you feeling? Any better?
Chloe: [Exhales deeply] Yeah. Actually, I am.
Lucas: Good.
Nicole: So, why don't you take my advice?
E.J.: Maybe I should.
Nicole: Yes, maybe you should.
Marlena: John, can you hear me?! Open the door! Open the door!
John: Change in all things... is sweet. Aristotle. [Disk snaps] Stefano!
Marlena: John! John, don't! Stop! Please stop! Please stop! [Sobbing]
Lucas: I just don't know how I can go from one person to the next that quick.
Chloe: Let me see if I can help.
