Sami: You know, I was thinking, on the way home, maybe we could stop by Grandma's and get some of her French toast. I have been thinking about it nonstop lately. You know what else I've been craving, which I know sounds really weird, but I can't help myself -- I want grits. Is that really weird? I think maybe I picked it up in New Orleans. Lucas...are you seriously still mad at me?

Lucas: No.

Sami: Come on, say --

Lucas: I'm not mad at you. I'm worried about you. You run off with E.J. just to track down Stefano. You almost got yourself killed.

Sami: Nothing happened, okay? I was being careful. I'm fine.

Lucas: You might not be so lucky next time, right? Look, I love you, and you know that, but I can't keep doing this. I mean, with the risks you're taking, you keep making stupid decisions like this.

Sami: Wait a second. Stupid decisions?

Lucas: You know what I mean, all right?

Sami: No, I don't. I hardly think it's stupid to want to protect my family from the DiMeras.

Lucas: So you got to be the one to settle everything, right? You got to take that load on yourself?

Sami: Well, I do think I'm the right person. I think it was given to me. We're meant to do this.

Lucas: Sami saves the world again.

Sami: I'm being serious.

Lucas: You're five months pregnant.

Sami: That doesn't mean that I am helpless. Besides, this pregnancy, I am the one who can save Stefano.

Lucas: Oh, right, yeah. "Yeah, take it, old man. Take whatever you need."

Sami: You know that's not fair. I would never endanger this child.

Lucas: First of all, we don't even know if the stem cells are gonna work. And as far as I'm concerned, that baby's mine. Now, look, I know I've said this a million times, but I can't deal with this anymore. I don't know how much longer I'm gonna put up with this.

Sami: Lucas.

Lucas: I mean it, Sami. How do I know you're telling the truth? Let's say you got to go get your hair done or something or go get groceries -- how do I know that's where you're gonna be and you're not with E.J. or Stefano somewhere?

Sami: You're saying you don't trust me anymore.

Lucas: Does it really surprise you?

Philip: Hey.

Belle: I got your message. You said it was about Claire.

Philip: You're never gonna believe this, Belle.

Belle: Tell me this is good news.

Philip: I got a call, a guy named George Stemmer. He and his wife were on the water the same night we were.

Belle: Did he see Claire? Does he know where she is?

Philip: After our boat went down, they heard the SOS.

Belle: Philip, did they see Claire?

Philip: He's not 100% sure it was her, but --

Belle: Oh, my gosh, she's alive? I have been praying and praying.

Philip: Me too, Belle.

Belle: Do you know this guy? Can we call him?

Philip: Even better. I've arranged for him to meet us here.

Belle: Are you serious? When?

Philip: The Kiriakis jet should be landing any minute now.

Belle: Thank you. I got to call my parents.

Philip: Maybe you should wait till we talk to this guy, make sure he's legit. I thought Shawn was gonna meet us here.

Belle: Yeah, he is. He had to stop by Bo's house, says it was important.

Philip: I bet I know what that's about. His parents are probably pissed that he moved into the mansion.

Belle: Shawn will make them understand.

Philip: I hope so.

Belle: You know, when Claire comes home, I will want her to go somewhere familiar and safe, and hopefully your house will feel like a home to her.

Philip: I'm hoping it does for you, too. And, of course, also to Shawn.

Bo: Oh, you've had your bottle, a fresh diaper, your pretty dress. Anything else I can get you, little angel?

Hope: Whoo! Hey, good morning.

Bo: How was your run?

Hope: It was good. It's really windy out today. Oh, dear, what do we have here?

Bo: Um, which do you want?

Hope: Uh, how's my baby girl? How's mommy's beauty, huh? Hey, Shawn's not here yet, huh?

Bo: No, no. That poor kid. He's got so much on his mind with Claire, and now this.

Hope: He's gonna be all right. He's gonna get through it.

Bo: Yeah, I know he will. It's just...life is so much easier when they're this age. You feed them, change a diaper -- life is good.

Hope: Your brother. Your -- ooh. Speaking of your brother, look it. Say, "Shawn, hello, good morning."

Shawn D.: Look at you. Come here.

Hope: She really missed her big brother. "Put my dress down, Shawn."

Shawn D.: I missed her, too. But now we got all the time in the world. Do you know that? Yeah. Once Claire gets back, we can go to the park, and then we can show you how to ride the swing. Yeah.

Hope: From your mouth to God's ears, honey.

Shawn D.: Look, you guys, I didn't want to say anything until I knew for sure, but Philip -- he may have a lead on Claire.

Bo: Wow, that's great.

Hope: That's fantastic.

Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah, I don't know the details, so don't mention it to anyone. He asked me to come down to the pub so he can tell me in person.

Hope: But he said it was good news, right?

Shawn D.: Yeah, that's what it sounded like. That's where I'm headed right now. So, what did you guys want to talk to me about? What? What's wrong?

Hope: Hey, sweetheart, come to mommy. Come here, my beautiful girl, 'cause your daddy, he needs to talk to your big brother. Yeah, come here.

Bo: Well, there's no easy way to say this. There was an accident. Willow's dead.

Shawn D.: No. No, no, she c-- Willow -- Willow died?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: Sweetie.

Shawn D.: It doesn't make any sense. I just saw her yesterday, and she was fine.

Bo: I'm sorry.

Shawn D.: How did this happen?

Bo: She was at the beach with Nick Fallon, and apparently she fell, hit her head.

Shawn D.: But it was an accident, right?

Bo: We're waiting to hear from the coroner's office, but Nick said she fell. There's no reason to doubt him.

Hope: Honey, he was trying to save her.

Shawn D.: I don't believe this. And the baby?

Hope: Shawn, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry, sweetheart.

Shawn D.: Willow and I had our differences, but...I didn't want anything like this to happen.

Bo: Of course you didn't.

Shawn D.: The crazy thing is, is that we actually had a decent conversation. That's the first time in months. She said she wanted me to be a part of the baby's life. She didn't want it growing up with parents who fought all the time. You know, I think she really meant it.

Bo: I don't know how you feel about this, but since the baby was yours, our grandchild, I think we should take care of the funeral arrangements.

Belle: Um...Shawn and I really appreciate everything that you've done for us, letting us stay at the mansion and everything.

Philip: Well, it's the way it should be. We all love Claire.

Belle: You know, last night was actually the first time in forever that I actually felt safe going to sleep.

Philip: Yeah, well...you've had a rough couple of months.

Belle: There's something about your house -- just makes me feel protected, you know, like nobody can hurt me, which is kind of ironic if you think about it.

Philip: I guess you guys have felt anything but safe around me, huh?

Belle: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to bring that up.

Philip: You and Shawn were on the run because of me.

Belle: Hey, we all are to blame for what happened.

Philip: I just -- I wish I could go back and change all that.

Belle: So do I, but it's all in the past now.

Philip: It's pretty amazing the way you've been so forgiving, understanding about everything.

Belle: Well, all that matters right now is Claire.

Philip: We're gonna find her. I know we are. This guy Stemmer could be our big break.

Belle: Yeah, our big break.

Philip: What's wrong, Belle?

Belle: I've just always been the good girl, you know -- responsible, dependable. Sami's always been the one who's gotten into trouble and made all the bad decisions, not me. I always tried to do the right thing. And I screwed up, Philip, in the worst way.

Philip: Belle, don't do this.

Belle: No, I'm serious. I don't know what possessed me to think that leaving with Claire was a good idea. I put my own daughter's life at risk every day that we were on the run. What kind of mother does that?

Philip: Belle, you're a good mom. You did what you had to, to protect Claire.

Belle: I'm scared. What if this is my punishment? What if this was my karma?

Philip: It doesn't work like that, okay? If we were punished for every honest mistake we've ever made, then God would have a 24/7-hour job on his hands.

Belle: Just with our two families.

Philip: I've got a really strong feeling...all of this is gonna work out.

George: Excuse me. Do you happen to know where I could find a Philip Kiriakis?

Philip: George Stemmer, Philip Kiriakis.

Belle: Do you know where my daughter is?

Sami: I don't know what you want me to do. What, should I lock myself in the apartment, never come out again?

Lucas: There's a big difference between locking yourself in the apartment and doing what you've been doing, taking the chances you have.

Sami: Stop being so overprotective. I can handle this.

Lucas: Really? Look around, open your eyes. Look where you are. You're in the hospital. They put you in the hospital. They tried to gas you in a car.

Sami: I am not stupid, okay? I know what Stefano is capable of.

Lucas: You're so busy trying to be a hero to your own family. You've completely forgotten about ours.

Sami: I cannot believe that you just said that. Everything I do is for our family, because I don't want my kids to grow up --

Lucas: In the DiMera shadow, right? You don't want any of that. I've heard it like a million times, Sami.

Sami: Well, it's true. Look, I didn't ask to find that old letter in New Orleans, but I did. Don't you think that, that means something?

Lucas: Yeah, it means we should have taken our honeymoon in Hawaii.

Sami: I think it's a sign.

Lucas: Oh, it's a sign. Now you sound like Celeste. Great.

E.J.: We need to talk to him face to face now. I'm gonna...take this off. Father, it's Elvis. Can you hear me, Father?

Sami: E.J.

E.J.: Father, I want to introduce you to a very good friend of mine. Her name is... it's okay.

Stefano: Co-- Colleen. Colleen. You're alive.

Sami: Lucas, something happened last night when I was in that ambulance...with Stefano. I looked at him and had the strangest feeling, like...

Lucas: Like what? Like you wanted to hurl? That kind of feeling?

Sami: He touched my face, and he said...he said, "Colleen, Colleen, you're alive." He --

Lucas: Well, who the hell is Colleen, all right? And why would he think that you were her?

Sami: That's what we have to find out.

Lucas: It really doesn't matter who Colleen is, all right? You're dealing with a delusional old man.

Sami: I just need to know who she is. I mean, I thought E.J. would know, but he's as clueless as I am.

Lucas: But you said yourself that Stefano was out of it when he came to. He didn't know who he was talking to or what he was talking about.

Sami: Come on, I know Stefano, all right? I know who he is, but in that ambulance, I swear to you, Lucas, he almost seemed...human.

Lucas: Human? DiMera? I don't think so.

Sami: He was...he was real, you know? He seemed practically vulnerable. He seemed like a lonely man who was reaching out to a woman he cares about. I just -- I feel so strongly that if I could just get to Stefano, you know, if could talk to him, I could maybe get him to open up to me about who this Colleen really is, and maybe, I don't know, maybe I can bring her back from the dead.

Lucas: Will you listen to yourself? Bring her back from the dead? That's insane. That's ridiculous.

Sami: I know it sounds crazy, Lucas, but I have to try.

Lucas: No. No. I mean it. I forbid it, in fact. I forbid you to go near Stefano DiMera.

Shawn D.: No, Dad. I'll take care of the funeral expenses myself, if this really is my kid.

Hope: Wait a second. What do you mean "if"? I didn't think you had any more doubts?

Bo: I thought she showed you a DNA test?

Shawn D.: Yeah, and it looked authentic. But Willow's kind of a stranger to the truth.

Bo: Which is why I ordered another test.

Hope: What? You did?

Bo: Yeah, I saw the coroner last night, so I think we should know whether this child was a Brady.

Hope: Well, I think it's a great idea also, but when are we gonna get the results?

Bo: He said we'd have them at the inquest.

Shawn D.: When's that?

Bo: Couple hours.

Shawn D.: Can I be there for it?

Bo: Sure, you can.

Shawn D.: I want some closure here, you know?

Bo: I understand.

Hope: We all do, sweetheart.

Philip: Please, Mr. Stemmer, have a seat.

George: Call me George.

Philip: Can I get you a bite, maybe a drink?

George: No, I'm good.

Philip: Thanks again for coming on such short notice.

Belle: Yeah, we really appreciate it.

George: I've got three daughters of my own, and I can't imagine what you folks are going through. So, tell me about your little girl.

Belle: Her name is Claire. She's gonna be 2 in September. The last time we saw her, she was wearing a pink floral shirt and jeans. That's her.

Philip: Is that the little girl you saw?

George: Yep, that's her. No doubt about it.

George: So, we got back to the harbor, all of us, my wife and I were walking to the car when we saw this woman with a small child. I probably wouldn't have even noticed the gal if she hadn't seemed so frantic.

Philip: What do you mean?

George: I don't know, just the way she was acting. She was in a real hurry. She seemed nervous.

Belle: Probably because she was kidnapping my daughter.

Philip: Go on.

George: I tried to find out if she was okay, but she didn't pay any attention. She just jumped in her car and peeled out.

Belle: But you saw the child that she was holding, right? It was Claire.

George: Same face, same curly hair. It was her all right. I'd bet my life on it.

Belle: I knew it. I knew she was alive.

Philip: So, this woman, can you describe her?

George: She was wearing sunglasses and a baseball cap. I couldn't tell what team it was, though.

Belle: Do you know where she was going?

George: Sorry. Wherever it was, this lady was in a big hurry to get there.

Shawn D.: So, how is Nick holding up?

Bo: Not so good. He's having a hard time with this.

Shawn D.: If there's anything I can do, you know, be a character witness or whatever.

Bo: I'm sure he'd appreciate that.

Shawn D.: So, what do you think is gonna happen? Think he's gonna get charged?

Bo: That is hard to tell because he and Chelsea were being blackmailed by Willow.

Shawn D.: You got to be kidding me.

Bo: No.

Shawn D.: What did she have on them?

Bo: That I can't tell you.

Shawn D.: Look, I got to get down to the pub. Be nice to have a little bit of good news today, right?

Hope: That's for sure.

Shawn D.: I'll see you at the station.

Bo: Yes, you will.

Hope: Sweetie, if you hear anything or find out anything about Claire, please call us, okay?

Shawn D.: I will.

Hope: Drive safely, sweetheart. Bye.

Bo: Quite a day already, huh? The only child we don't have to worry about is this little angel.

Hope: He's strong.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: He's gonna get through this, no matter what.

Bo: Yeah, I know he will.

Hope: Now, Chelsea on the other hand, um...when I spoke to her last, she seemed really upset. Can I ask you something?

Bo: Yeah, sure.

Hope: Do you really believe that Chelsea had nothing to do with the fire...and that Willow framed her by planting that brush?

Bo: Willow was at the Penthouse Grill the night that, that brush disappeared from the ladies' room. Chelsea and Abby both saw her, so, yeah. I think this time she's not lying to us.

Hope: Good. I'm glad you think so, because I think so, too.

Bo: Good.

Hope: I just want all of this to end. All of it.

[Doorbell rings]

Bo: Tell me about it. Hey, good morning.

Doug: Hey, guess what this is for.

Hope: Oh!

Bo: That split window '63 Stingray that I've always wanted, right?

Julie: No, no, silly.

Doug: No, muscle head, it's the key to Doug's place. We are in, and now, hopefully, we are going to solve a mystery.

Sami: You forbid me? What am I, 12?

Lucas: I want you to stay away from him.

Sami: You don't get to order me around like that.

Lucas: I do if it's for your own good.

Sami: It's for my own good? Yeah, great, that's what it feels like. I just have to figure this out. I have to talk to my dad.

Lucas: Oh, right, call Roman. That'll go over real well once he finds out you were with Stefano last night.

Sami: Great. I'll have to hear another lecture. What frustrates me about this is that my Grandpa Shawn knows about it. That's what Stefano said, anyway, and he's just never said anything, and I don't even know why. Maybe it's because he's afraid or who knows what?

Lucas: Well, I tell you what, I'll go talk to your Uncle Bo for you to find out what he knows.

Sami: Uncle Bo -- that's it. That's exactly -- I mean, maybe Grandpa Shawn said something to him.

Lucas: It's worth a shot, isn't it?

Sami: That's perfect. All right, we'll just stop by his house on the way home after this, if Dr. Jacobs would ever get here with my release papers. God, what takes so long?

Lucas: I said I am gonna talk to your Uncle Bo. There is no we. You're not gonna come with me.

Sami: But you don't even know what questions to ask. Come on, Lucas, I'll be perfectly safe in my Uncle Bo's house.

Lucas: I'd rather you stay here where Officer Bennett can keep his eye on you. Your mom's here. She's in her office.

Sami: Lucas, come on.

Lucas: I'm serious, Sami. I want you to stay here, all right?

Sami: Fine.

Lucas: I'll be back after I talk to your Uncle Bo, all right? And I'm sure by then you'll be cleared to leave.

Sami: Yeah, whatever.

Lucas: I love you. And I mean it, all right, please no funny business.

Sami: This is unbelievable. What is he thinking? Want to just handcuff me to the bedpost? We could get one of those ankle monitors to make sure I never -- [Telephone rings] Hello?

E.J.: Samantha, it's me.

Sami: What do you want?

E.J.: Are you alone?

Sami: Yeah, but --

E.J.: Good. I need to see you right away.

Dr. Jacobs: I want you to take it easy for the next couple days. Keep your stress level down.

Sami: Have you been talking to my husband?

Dr. Jacobs: He's just concerned for you, that's all.

Sami: Yeah, well, a little too concerned.

Dr. Jacobs: Listen, you had a very close call. Don't minimize what happened to you.

Sami: Yeah, okay.

Dr. Jacobs: All right, when Lucas returns, you tell the floor nurse and she'll get the orderly to help you check out.

Sami: Uh, Dr. Jacobs...I know I can be a pain in the butt, so I'm sorry and thank you.

Dr. Jacobs: You can, and you're welcome. Take care of yourself, Sami. I'll see you at your next appointment.

E.J.: Samantha.

Sami: What the hell are you doing here? I told you not to come here. Lucas is gonna be back any minute.

E.J.: This couldn't wait.

Sami: How did you even get past the guard?

E.J.: Well, thankfully, Officer Bennett was a little more agreeable than the fool that was on duty yesterday. Look...I have something for you. I want you to look at it. It's from my father. He wants us to pay him a visit.

Sami: Wait a second. You think I'm gonna fall for this? The man we saw last night -- there's no way he could lift a pencil, never mind write a note.

E.J.: Will you just read it, please?

Sami: "Perhaps we can settle our business once and for all. Warmest regards, Stefano"? "Warmest regards, Stefano"? Oh, give me a break. This is a complete forgery.

E.J.: Samantha, please. I think you should take him up on his offer.

Sami: I cannot believe that you are serious, after everything he has done to my family.

E.J.: Look, he's obviously had a change of heart.

Sami: Stefano DiMera doesn't have a heart, and if you think I'm gonna fall for this little DiMera trap, then you're as crazy as he is.

E.J.: Nothing's gonna happen to you. I think I've already proven that I'll take care of you.

Sami: E.J., this is not a good idea.

E.J.: Samantha...listen to me -- stop being so stubborn, please, okay? My father is offering you a truce. Can you really afFord not to take that?

Doug: I only have this till tomorrow morning, so we're gonna have to work fast.

Bo: Oh, um...I got to go down to the station, take care of a couple things. It shouldn't take me too long. How about I meet you guys at the club? Remember how to get there?

Doug: I could drive there with my eyes closed.

Julie: Please, no. After the drive over here, I'm the only one that's getting behind that wheel.

Doug: I went through one yellow light.

Julie: Yellow? Honey, it was red as a cayenne pepper.

Hope: Shh, shh, shh, shh. Sleeping baby, you two.

Julie: Sorry, sorry, sorry.

Hope: I'm gonna see if I can find a sitter, okay?

Bo: Okay, try Lindsay from down the street.

Hope: She's good, isn't she?

[Knock on door]

Lucas: Hey, I need to talk to you for a second.

Julie: Hello.

Lucas: I had no idea you guys were in town. How are you doing?

Julie: Oh, great. Good to see you, darling.

Lucas: You too.

Doug: So sorry we couldn't make it to your wedding.

Lucas: Oh, that's all right. Don't worry about it. I don't know how long you're in town, but just come by the apartment for dinner and we'll show you some pictures.

Julie: Well, thank you. That would be lovely.

Lucas: Yes, yes. Sorry to interrupt.

Bo: No, no, don't worry. What's up?

Lucas: It's Sami. I'm a little worried about her. You know, with Stefano and Tony hanging around, I got a bad feeling something's gonna happen.

Bo: She's still at the hospital, right?

Lucas: Yeah. Officer Bennett's there watching her, but I don't know. Something's not right. I have a feeling she's not safe.

Bo: We're doing everything we can.

Lucas: I know. Part of it's Sami's fault because, you know, she's so determined to find out what started this damn war between the DiMeras and the Bradys.

Bo: Yeah, we're all kind of determined to find that out.

Lucas: She's gonna get herself killed is what's gonna happen.

Bo: Take it easy, Lucas.

Lucas: How can I take it easy? She's running away from the hospital, and she's going to meet with Stefano.

Julie: Oh, my God.

Bo: Meet? She can't do that. We've had a guard outside her door 24/7.

Lucas: Yeah, I know. She's had a little help.

Bo: Elvis. So, how'd this meeting with Stefano go?

Lucas: I don't know. Supposedly, he was out of it or something, but when he came to when he saw Sami, he called her "Colleen." Who the hell is Colleen? Do you guys have any idea what he's talking about?

Bo: Hiya, Pop. Got a second?

Shawn: For you, my boy, all the time in the world. What's on your mind, eh?

Bo: I got a couple questions to ask you. It's about this investigation I'm working on.

Shawn: All right, shoot.

Bo: Well, it involves the DiMeras. There's a name from the past. Um, it just came up kind of out of nowhere. Does the name Colleen mean anything to you?

Shawn: Never heard of her. Excuse me.

Belle: Was there anything else that you remember about this woman? Anything at all?

George: She was wearing a backpack and it had a sticker on it. It said "U.S.A.Dorable."

Belle: U.S.A.Dorable.

George: I'm not sure that will really help, but...

Philip: Believe me, every detail helps.

George: I wish there was more I could tell you guys, but that's about it. And I really got to head back.

Philip: All right, well, thanks for everything.

Belle: Yeah, thank you.

George: I hope you find her. You two are obviously great parents.

Philip: My driver's still out front. He'll get you to the airport.

George: If you have any more questions, you know where to find me.

Belle: Thank you.

Philip: U.S.A.Dorable.

Belle: Maybe we should Google it or something.

Philip: My laptop's in the car. I'll go grab it.

Belle: Hey, did you tell Mr. Stemmer that Claire was our daughter?

Philip: I might have. I'm sorry, Belle.

Belle: No, no, you don't have to explain. I know you love her. She's a lucky little girl.

Belle: Oh, my God, Shawn. I can't believe Willow's dead.

Shawn D.: I know. It just doesn't seem real, does it?

Belle: This must be so hard on you. I'm so sorry.

Shawn D.: My dad, he ordered another DNA test on the baby, you know, to make sure that I'm really his father.

Belle: Well, I thought you already were for sure. I mean, didn't she tell you that?

Shawn D.: Yeah, yeah, she did.

Belle: So you think she lied.

Shawn D.: I don't know. I just want this whole thing to be over with.

Belle: When are you gonna get the test results?

Shawn D.: I'm gonna meet my dad at the station after this.

Belle: Okay, I'm coming with you.

Shawn D.: No, Belle. Just...stay here with Philip. Follow up on the lead that we have on Claire.

Belle: Are you sure?

Shawn D.: Finding Claire is the only thing that keeps me together right now.

Belle: We're gonna find her. We're gonna bring her home. I know we will.

Philip: Check it out, you guys. I found it. I found it.

Lucas: Fess up. You guys know something. Who's Colleen?

Bo: That's what we'd all like to know.

Lucas: Ah, so you've heard of her, right?

Bo: Yeah, from that letter that you and Sami found at Maison Blanche.

Lucas: Yeah, the one Stefano.

Bo: Yeah. Her name was mentioned in that.

Lucas: You got to be kidding me.

Bo: Nope. She was somehow involved with Stefano's old man.

Julie: But the Bradys separated her from him somehow.

Bo: That's why the DiMeras have been after us all these years.

Lucas: Well, that's kind of extreme, don't you think?

Doug: Well, this Colleen must have been so-o-o-o-me woman.

Lucas: I guess so. What about Grandpa Shawn? What does he say about this?

Bo: He's pretty closemouthed about the whole thing. That's why we have to try to dig up information on our own.

Doug: And we're gonna start at the club that I used to own out by the lake.

Lucas: That was Doug's place, right?

Julie: Why, Lucas, that was light-years before your time.

Lucas: Yeah, but I got ears. I can hear. You know, the place is legendary. It's like a landmark.

Doug: I like to think so.

Lucas: So, what does your club have to do with the DiMeras? I don't get it.

Bo: There's a tunnel that goes from the club up to the mansion.

Lucas: And you think that tunnel is gonna give us clues on Colleen?

Bo: It's a place to start.

Lucas: Listen, I hope you guys find what you're looking for, but can you do me a favor in the meanwhile?

Bo: What is it?

Lucas: Whatever you do, don't let Sami get wind of this.

Sami: This doesn't say anything about the truce. All he writes is he wants to "settle our business." Well, all that means is he wants my baby.

E.J.: Samantha, please, I promise you, I'm not going to let them harm the child that you're carrying.

Sami: You can't make that promise. What if they do something to you?

E.J.: My father is not the kind of monster that people think he is, Samantha. He's very fair.

Sami: In comparison to who, Hitler?

E.J.: Can we just do this before he changes his mind?

Sami: No. No, I'm sorry. It's too dangerous, and besides, I promised Lucas that I would stay here until he got back.

E.J.: Really? Seems Lucas is keeping you on a pretty tight leash these days, eh?

Sami: He is my husband, and he cares about me. And he cares about my baby. Our baby.

E.J.: I'm sure he does. Tell me something -- does he also care about your father? Does he care about Bo? Does he care about Kayla? Does he care about Hope? Because it seems pretty clear to me, Samantha, and I think it seems pretty clear to you, too, that you represent the only opportunity to diffuse my family's contempt for the Brady clan.

Sami: Now wait a second. I can't do this to Lucas again. I can't just break out of here and go on another dangerous wild goose chase with you.

E.J.: Of course you can. Not only that, I think that you want to. This could have something to do with Colleen.

Sami: I don't give a damn.

E.J.: Oh, come on. You're as curious as I as to why my father called you by her name.

Sami: You are not going to change my mind.

E.J.: Why? Hmm? Because you don't want to disappoint Lucas or because you're afraid?

Sami: Both.

E.J.: Look, Lucas need never know. And I give you my word -- no harm will come to you or the child. We walk in there, the two of us. As long as you're with me --

Sami: What, you think I'll feel safe? Wait a second. You held a gun to my head. You raped me. You are the last person I want protecting me.

E.J.: You seem to forget, Samantha, that I'm the only person who is currently trying to keep you alive.

Sami: Only because your family is the one trying to kill me. I don't trust you or anyone related to the DiMeras.

E.J.: You're making a terrible mistake.

Sami: The only mistake I made was not kicking you out in the first place. Get out of here, E.J. Now.

Bo: Are you kidding me? We're not letting Sami anywhere near this investigation.

Lucas: Thank you, Bo. She's got it in her head she's the only one who could resolve this matter with the DiMeras.

Julie: But she's going to have a baby. She can't go chasing after Stefano.

Lucas: I know. That's what I told her, but she wants to do it on her own. She wants to make it up to everybody.

Hope: You know what, Lucas? I wouldn't sell Sami short if I were you.

Doug: No, it's a far cry from the Sami we all used to know.

Hope: You should be proud of her. She wants to protect her family. That's admirable.

Lucas: I am proud of her. I just don't want to become a widower. She's my wife, all right? She's pregnant. We have a kid.

Hope: I understand that. All I'm saying -- she's not a child. Give her some space. And she might surprise you.

Lucas: Yeah, I know. That's what I'm afraid of.

E.J.: Well, I suppose I will just have to report to father that I...couldn't convince you. He'll be very disappointed.

Sami: He'll get over it... if he lives that long.

E.J.: You know, I'm not concerned about him, Samantha. You're really failing to see the full picture here. Everything that you want for your family, everything you want is finally within your grasp, and yet you choose to be a slave to the demands of your husband and your own insecurities. I'm sorry. I'm sorry because...I thought more of you.

Sami: [Grunts] E.J., wait.

E.J.: Yes, darling?

Sami: You --

E.J.: Come on.

Sami: I hate you. I hate you. If something happens, E.J., I swear to God, this is all --

E.J.: Not now. Come on.

Officer: [Mumbled] Mrs. Roberts, where do you think you're going? I have strict orders not to let you leave the room.

Sami: I am getting released, actually, so I guess that means you're off duty.

E.J.: Where are you going, darling?

Sami: The least I can do is leave Lucas a note.

E.J.: Right. Officer.

Hope: So, what do you say, Lucas? Will you give her a little more space?

Lucas: All right, I see what you're saying, okay? I'll lighten up a little bit. But can you do me a favor if I do that?

Bo: Sure, what's that?

Lucas: Just promise me you won't let her do anything crazy, nothing too risky, okay?

Bo: Absolutely. She's not gonna fight this battle alone.

Hope: Don't worry. Don't worry.

Lucas: All right. Thank you. I appreciate it. And you guys come by whenever you want. All right, I promise you that dinner. I'm a good cook.

Julie: I believe you.

Doug: Well, we better have a go, too, now.

Hope: Oh, what time should we meet?

Doug: Say two hours, Doug's place? Does that give you time enough, Bo?

Bo: Yeah, that's plenty of time. Did you get the sitter?

Hope: Yeah, Lindsay said she'd stay as long as we need, so I thought, "you know, why don't we grab some dinner afterwards?" What do you say?

Julie: Oh, that sounds terrific. We have been craving that glazed salmon at Chez Rouge.

Hope: I tell you what, I'm gonna call Maggie and see if she can fit us in.

Julie: Oh, great. Great, darling.

Hope: Who's driving, by the way?

Julie: By the way, I'm driving.

Hope: Shh, baby sleeping.

Bo: I wonder what we're gonna find in that tunnel.

Hope: Hmm, no worries, Brady. I got your back.

Bo: Hmm, you got my front.

Philip: So, it's a website. I guess they post pictures of toddlers, and then they give away prizes and stuff.

Belle: So it's like an online baby beauty pageant or something?

Philip: Yeah, but they also do it live, too.

Shawn D.: Scroll down. Are there any pictures of Claire on here?

Philip: No, but I haven't searched the whole site yet.

Shawn D.: This doesn't make any sense. Why would somebody kidnap Claire just to enter her into some beautiful-baby contest? Other than the fact that she'd definitely win.

Belle: I don't know, but right now, it's our only lead.

Shawn D.: Oh, shoot. Is that the time? I got to get down to the police station.

Belle: Wait, Shawn, are you sure you don't want me to come with you?

Shawn D.: Yeah, just stay here with Philip, keep looking through those pictures, see if you find any of Claire.

Belle: Okay, but you call me the minute you get those test results.

Shawn D.: Same as you. Anything on Claire. I love you.

Belle: I love you.

Philip: Belle, look at this. Look at this. There was a pageant today in Chicago.

Belle: Oh, my God. That could mean that Claire --

Philip: What do you say, you want to go to the Windy City?

Belle: Definitely.

Lucas: "Went to see Stefano. Be back soon. Don't hate me. Sami." Damn it! Damn that Sami!

Bo: Well, open that thing up and find out the truth.

Stefano: ...Consider those that you love and how far you are prepared to keep from mourning them.

Lucas: If you hurt her, I guarantee I'm gonna kill you.

Tony: What is it with everybody that want to kill me? You were saying?
