Willow: I'm surprised you actually came.
Chelsea: Well, when you leave a message saying, "I know what you did," I figured it would be worth a good laugh to hear the rest of it.
Willow: You won't be laughing for long.
Chelsea: Whatever. Can we hurry this along? I have things to do.
Willow: Oh, I would, but we should really wait to get started till our other guest arrives.
Chelsea: "Other guest"? What other guest?
Nick: Chelsea.
Chelsea: Does someone want to tell me what's going on?
Willow: I'm gonna be the one asking the questions. Which one of you came up with the brilliant idea of stealing the hairbrush from the lab?
Kate: I am listening, Philip. The subject is E.J. Wells.
Philip: What about him?
Kate: "What about him?" When did the two of you become so chummy?
Philip: We're not. E.J. and I are working on a project together -- that's all.
Kate: Really? And it involves this equipment?
Philip: Billie's new security system. Will was just showing me how to use it.
Kate: May I ask why?
Philip: Mom, listen. This isn't anything that concerns you, okay, so just leave it alone.
Kate: I don't think so. When my son gets involved in a mysterious project with E.J. Wells, using my daughter's security system, I think it's my concern, okay? What's going on?
Philip: [Sighs] Let's just say E.J. and I have a mutual interest in someone.
Kate: Okay. Who might that someone be?
Philip: It's just a business arrangement.
Kate: It is not just a business arrangement. I know that. This reeks of personal. Philip, who are you both interested in?
Philip: [Exhales deeply] Shawn Brady.
Belle: Good night, baby. Mommy loves you.
Shawn D.: [Laughs] I actually think we did some good work.
Gabby: Are you laughing at me?
Shawn D.: I swear, I'm not laughing at you. You got some dirt on your face right there.
Gabby: Okay, well, work first, beauty second.
Shawn D.: I think we got a lot of work done today, don't you?
Gabby: Yeah, but we still have to program this GPS, and I have no clue how to do this.
Shawn D.: It's easy. You just type in some codes and register online. I've done it for my dad a million times.
Gabby: Really? Maybe you can show me.
Shawn D.: No problem.
Gabby: I will totally pay you back.
Shawn D.: You don't have to pay me back.
Gabby: No, no, no. No, I insist. Hey, how about dinner later, okay? I'll bring over some wine and some of the mahi-mahi you like. Mmm. It'll be fun.
Shawn D.: All right. Sounds good. Sounds good.
Sami: Lucas! Oh, my God. Oh, my God, Lucas. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I had to do this, but you're gonna be okay. You're gonna be okay. Yeah, you're gonna wake up in a couple hours, and you are gonna be fine. I'm so sorry. I love you so much. I'm so sorry. But it's gonna be okay. I promise, everything's gonna work out. [Cellphone ringing] Oh, God, the time. Oh, God. Hello.
E.J.: I'm waiting, Samantha.
Sami: E.J.
E.J.: Let's hope you're on your way, shall we? Otherwise, you'll never make it. Ticktock.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Shawn D.: Well, I'm gonna go take a shower now.
Gabby: Yeah. Me too.
Shawn D.: Oh. Gabby, for the record, honestly, I've never seen a girl handle a belt sander the way that you did. Good job today.
Gabby: You liked that, huh?
Shawn D.: Oh, yeah. Hey. Is she sleeping?
Belle: I just put her down. How's the boat?
Shawn D.: The engine -- it still needs some work. But the good thing is we got the exhaust manifold installed.
Belle: Sounds like Gabby's really good with her hands.
Shawn D.: Belle, I'm gonna go take a shower. Do you mind keeping an eye on Claire for a few minutes?
Belle: Sure, but I do want to go for a run later.
Shawn D.: That's fine. You're not gonna be out late, are you?
Belle: Why? Got something else planned?
Shawn D.: Yeah. Gabby and I -- we're gonna work on the GPS system. The sooner we get that fixed, the sooner we get out of here, right?
Belle: Well, we wouldn't want to keep Gabby waiting.
Shawn D.: Come on, Belle. Give me a break. I'm just trying to get the three of us off of this island to Australia.
Belle: You mean the four of us, don't you? Don't want to forget about your first mate.
Shawn D.: Enough. I'm not gonna hear this again. We're not gonna argue about this anymore.
Kate: I'm sure the last thing you want to hear is advice from your mother.
Philip: But I'm sure you're about to give it to me.
Kate: Yes, I am going to give it to you. I don't know why E.J. is interested in Shawn, and, frankly, I don't care. But I do care about you getting involved with E.J. He's already making your brother's life a living hell. I don't want that to happen to you.
Philip: What about you?
Kate: [Sighs] What about me?
Philip: You've been involved with him longer than Lucas or me or Billie.
Kate: [Sighs] That's over.
Philip: I can handle E.J.
Kate: Really? Really? What makes you think you can handle E.J.?
Philip: Why shouldn't I be able to?
Kate: Because he is a cold, ruthless man. He's very much like your father, and you are nothing like that -- nothing like that at all.
Philip: Don't be so sure about that.
Kate: No, I am sure of that. Philip, E.J. and Victor are two of a kind. Neither of them has a conscience. Neither of them will show any mercy whatsoever, and they feed on the weakness of others.
Philip: Mom, look, I can handle this, okay?
Kate: Listen to me. There's been other people who thought that they could handle E.J., and either they've been terribly hurt or they disappear. I don't want that to happen to you.
E.J.: The clock is ticking, Samantha.
Sami: I know. I know. I'm just having a small problem. Nothing major.
E.J.: Whatever it is, I'm sure you'll solve it with your usual flair and ingenuity. Did you tell Lucas about the baby?
Sami: Yeah. I told him. I, um, I told him everything, and I told him that I didn't want to be with him anymore and that it was all over for us.
E.J.: How did he take that?
Sami: How do you think he took it? He's upset and angry, and -- I don't want to talk about this anymore, okay?
E.J.: I wouldn't worry too much about Lucas, sweetheart. It's not exactly the first time you broke his heart, is it? He'll bounce back.
Sami: Thanks for reminding me.
E.J.: Where are you?
Sami: I'm, um, I'm on my way, actually. I'm just running a few minutes behind, so I was hoping we could make it 9:15.
E.J.: Absolutely not.
Sami: E.J., please.
E.J.: Samantha, you will meet me at exactly 9:00. And if you are so much as a second late, I don't think I need to tell you exactly what will happen.
Sami: All right. All right. Fine. 9:00. I'll see you then.
E.J.: Good girl.
Sami: It's okay, Lucas. I'm gonna make this work. There's no problem. [Knock on door] Who is it?
Worker: Room service.
Sami: Why can't I ever catch a break?
Chelsea: You've got to be kidding me. That's why you dragged us over here -- to play your own little, cheap version of "Law & Order"?
Willow: Well, one of you swiped the brush, and I plan to prove it.
Nick: Willow, I was just here.
Chelsea: You were?
Nick: I stopped by to see how she was doing.
Chelsea: Oh. My hero.
Willow: And then when you left, I got to thinking, "who would want to set me up?" You, because you'd want somebody else to take the fall, and you, because you'd do anything for this skanky witch who treats you like dirt.
Chelsea: Excuse me, but aren't you the one that majored in skank?
Willow: Did you think I was gonna fall for your con job?
Nick: What are you talking about?
Willow: Coming in here and acting like you're my friend when you're actually just doing damage control for her?
Chelsea: I don't need damage control, okay, from him or anybody else. If you think I stole the brush, prove it.
Willow: I plan to.
Chelsea: Good luck with that. And do me a favor -- send me a postcard from your prison cell when you think you've figured it out.
Willow: You think you're gonna skate through this? Fine. Sweet dreams. Have fun living with yourself. And you -- you know I'm going down with this. You know that my baby's going to be taken away. Can you live with that, Nick?
Shawn D.: For the last time, there is nothing going on between Gabby and me.
Belle: Right. I forgot. I'm just another jealous female with nothing better to do than lob accusations at poor Shawn.
Shawn D.: This is stupid.
Belle: Call it what you want. [Knock on door]
Gabby: I'm sorry, guys.
Shawn D.: What's wrong?
Gabby: I just told Duck about Australia.
Shawn D.: Let me guess. It didn't go over well, did it?
Gabby: Yeah, that would be an understatement. Look, could you talk to him for me? Please. Just make him understand this is the right thing to do.
Worker: Room service.
Sami: Uh, just a second. Come on. Um, okay. Hold on! [Laughs] Lucas, cut it out. Hey, can you, uh, can you open the door?!
Worker: I, um, oh, I'm sorry. I-I didn't mean to interrupt.
Sami: It's okay. Just put it down. Just put it down for us. Stop it, Lucas! You're tickling me.
Worker: Can -- can I get you to sign this, miss?
Sami: You know what? Can you sign for us? We'll take care of it in the morning.
Worker: Of course. You two have a nice evening.
Sami: Yeah. Thanks. [Breathing heavily] I'm not gonna be able to lift you, Lucas. I don't know. I need help. Okay. Please. Please pick up. Please. Celeste, it's Sami. You have to get up here. I need your help.
Shawn D.: I don't have any problem talking to your dad, Gabby, but I don't know how much it's gonna help 'cause I'm not exactly Duck's favorite person.
Gabby: That's just how my dad comes off, okay? But he really thinks a lot of you, Shawn. He does. You know, the way you take care of your family, he respects that. Okay, look, I know this is a lot to ask.
Belle: You got that right.
Shawn D.: Come on, Belle. It's no big deal.
Belle: You don't think so?
Gabby: Okay, look, I don't want to cause any trouble.
Belle: Well, it's a little late for that.
Gabby: Forget it. Belle's right. I'll just go deal with my dad some other way.
Shawn D.: No, it's fine. I'll talk to your dad.
Gabby: You sure?
Shawn D.: Yeah, like I said. It's no big deal.
Belle: Shawn, can I talk to you for a second?
Shawn D.: Don't go anywhere.
Belle: Why are you doing this?
Shawn D.: The better question is why are you being so hostile to everybody? There's no good reason.
Belle: You know why. I don't trust her.
Shawn D.: I don't care if you don't trust her. What bothers me is I'm starting to feel like you don't trust me.
Belle: I'm trying. I'm really trying. I'll do what you think is best.
Shawn D.: Where is your father at?
Gabby: He's downstairs. Thank you. Thank you so much, Shawn.
Celeste: At least we know the lipstick works.
Sami: I did not want to find out on my fiancé. But now he just looks like he's sleeping. And if the maid walks in, she'll think he's asleep.
Celeste: Ah.
Sami: Good thinking. Celeste, who am I kidding? This is not gonna work.
Celeste: Of course it will, but you have to pull yourself together. I need you focused.
Sami: What if Lucas wakes up and I'm not here? What if --
Celeste: He won't. He won't. We've come too far for you to back out now, Samantha.
Sami: I'm never gonna make it to the cabin by 9:00.
Celeste: Then just call him from the car, tell him you're running a few minutes late.
Sami: I tried that already. There is no grace period.
Celeste: You'll make it there, Samantha. E.J. may think he's a race car driver, but he's never seen me in action.
Philip: Thanks for the vote of confidence, Mom.
Kate: I'm not criticizing you.
Philip: What exactly would you call it, then, a compliment?
Kate: All I'm trying to --
Philip: That I don't measure up to E.J. and dad. Sorry to disappoint you.
Kate: Is that really what you think? Do you really think that's the way that I feel? Because I love the fact that you have a heart. You're not like the two of them, who pretend to have one whenever it suites them.
Philip: Well, ask Belle about my heart. Better yet, ask Shawn. They might tell you a different story.
Kate: No, I think what I would do is ask Claire, whose face lights up every time you walk into the room. How about Lucas, who was so touched when you tried to make peace with him the other day? And then there's Will. Will absolutely adores his uncle. Or how about all those soldiers you fought alongside of, hmm?
Philip: [Laughs] You're gonna have them build a statue of me pretty soon, Mom.
Kate: Baby, I just want you to know that it's not a weakness to be caring and considerate, compassionate.
Philip: Except when it comes to E.J., right?
Kate: E.J. is only going to see your big heart as a target. And believe me, he won't hesitate to take aim at it. So, baby, please, you have to tell me what the two of you are up to. And then we'll figure out a way to stop it.
Philip: I can't stop it, Mom. I can't.
Nick: Willow, there's no need to call the cops about this.
Willow: What do I have to lose?
Chelsea: Oh, God. Let her call whoever she wants. Hell, call the police, call the D.A., call my dad, take an ad out in the Spectator. I really don't care, Willow, because no one's gonna believe you.
Willow: This from the girl whose own father doesn't believe her.
Chelsea: FYI -- my dad just asked me to move in with him. I don't think he'd do that if he honestly believed I'm the one that torched his place.
Willow: Yeah, we're gonna see how long that one lasts because as soon as I fill your dad in on what happened, it's gonna be "goodbye casa Brady, hello Graybar Hotel."
Chelsea: There's just one tiny thing you're forgetting, Willow, and that's the fact that you have absolutely no credibility. I mean, God, everyone knows that you stole Hope's jewelry.
Willow: You planted it.
Chelsea: Did I also try to pawn it? No, no, no. Wait a minute. That would have been you.
Willow: I did it because I needed the money.
Chelsea: After Hope and my dad cut you off for setting fire to their place. Come on, Willow. You can do better than that.
Nick: Whoa, whoa. Can you please just settle down for a second?
Chelsea: And, um, P.S., if anybody ever did try to question me about the brush, I would just deny it and say it wasn't mine.
Willow: Did you just hear that? That was a confession.
Chelsea: Give me a break. I was just talking about "what if."
Willow: No. No, you weren't. And you know damn well I am telling the truth. That was your hairbrush. Yours, Chelsea.
Chelsea: Well, the only way that you could really know that, Willow, is if you stole the brush from me and then you planted it at my dad's house yourself, right?
Kate: We found some leads on that island.
Philip: None of those leads have panned out. Hell, I'm not one step closer to finding Shawn and belle since the day they left Salem. And that's where E.J. comes in.
Kate: How exactly?
Philip: When I found out E.J. was trying to install Billie's new security system at Bo and Hope's, he said he was looking for Shawn, too.
Kate: Oh. Well, that brings me back to my original question, now, doesn't it?
Philip: I don't know what he wants. He said it was personal. And I didn't press for any more details.
Kate: That's very interesting, Philip.
Philip: Yeah, so E.J. and I installed Century Cell at the Bradys' so we can see and hear everything they say.
Kate: What? You put surveillance equipment into a cop's house? How the hell did you manage that?
Philip: It doesn't matter. What matters is as soon as Shawn makes contact, Claire's as good as mine. All I have to do is tip off E.J., and I'm on the next flight to wherever. So that's it. That's the whole story.
Kate: Well, I hope you realize that if you do tell E.J. where Shawn is, then you might be signing his death warrant.
E.J.: 9:00. You don't leave me a lot choice, do you, Samantha?
Lucas: This is Lucas. Please leave a message, and I'll get back to you as soon as I can.
[Machine beeps]
E.J.: Lucas, my friend. This is E.J. Awfully sorry I missed you. I, uh, was wondering if we could maybe set up a time to talk.
Sami: [Clears throat]
E.J.: Actually, uh, scratch that. There's been a change of plan. Cutting it a little close, aren't we, sweetheart?
Sami: Sorry I'm late. [Clears throat]
E.J.: Here. Let me take that bag for you.
Sami: Thank you.
E.J.: Why were you late?
Sami: Oh. Actually, it was Lucas. He didn't want me to go. He was begging me to stay.
E.J.: You wouldn't lie to me, would you?
Sami: I'm here, aren't I?
E.J.: Barely.
Sami: Well, what matters is that I'm here now. And I'm all yours.
E.J.: Yes, indeed. In just a few hours, your last name will be Wells, just like mine.
Chelsea: Give me your phone, Nick.
Nick: Why?
Chelsea: Because I left mine in the car. Just give it to me. Okay, Willow. 555-0199. That is the direct line to the police station.
Nick: What are you doing?
Chelsea: And if you want to talk to my dad, his extension is 268. Oh, and if you do get him on the phone, would you ask him what we're doing for dinner tonight? I know he likes to do the whole family thing.
Willow: Fine. Have your stupid phone back.
Chelsea: I knew it. All talk, no action.
Willow: Just because I'm not calling the cops doesn't mean I'm giving up. I still think you stole the hairbrush, Nick. In fact, I know you did because you'll do anything for this freak-show bitch.
Chelsea: Ooh, hurt me. She's calling me names now.
Willow: Fine, Nick. Join team Chelsea. But know this -- she will turn on you. Just you wait.
Philip: You don't know that E.J.'s gonna kill Shawn.
Kate: I do know that E.J. is a DiMera, and a DiMera could probably shoot a cop in the broad daylight in front of a police station, and he would never be charged.
Philip: Don't you think you're overreacting just a little?
Kate: [Sighs] Do you remember the black-glove crimes that happened last year? Were you aware of the fact that the police believed that E.J. was the brains behind all of that? But because Patrick Lockhart would not I.D. him, they couldn't do anything.
Philip: That doesn't prove anything.
Kate: How about the fact that the two people who allegedly saw him shoot John Black disappeared? Makes it seem like no one will survive if they get in E.J.'s way, doesn't it?
Philip: Yeah, but why Shawn?
Kate: I don't know. Why Shawn? You tell me. The only thing I can think is Shawn worked for E.J. Maybe E.J. found out that Shawn knew something he didn't want him to know. And believe me, he wouldn't hesitate to dispose of him. Now, I know Shawn's not your favorite person. He's not my favorite person, either. But he is family.
Philip: You're really serious about this, aren't you?
Kate: As a heart attack, dear.
Philip: Yet you still work with him, among other things.
Kate: Yes, I work with him because I have to -- because my financial life is tied up in the business that we own together. But you don't have to do business with him, all right? And if he is seriously interested in going after Shawn, you're the only person, probably, who could stop that. So, please, promise me that if you find out where Shawn is, you won't tell E.J., or Shawn's blood could very well end up on your hands.
Shawn D.: Well, wish me luck.
Gabby: You'll be great. Thank you. Thank you. Look, belle, I'm sorry you think that I crossed the line with Shawn. It's just -- I just didn't know what to do, and... I... okay. I'll just go.
Belle: Gabby, wait. There's something I've wanted to talk to you about.
Gabby: What is it?
Belle: It's about Shawn.
Duck: Looking for someone?
Shawn D.: Yeah, actually. I was looking for you, Duck.
Duck: Well, you found me, boy scout. So what do you want?
Shawn D.: I just wanted to know if I could talk with you, you know, man to man.
Duck: Well, that might just put you at a disadvantage, son.
E.J.: You're very tense, Samantha.
Sami: Oh, well, it's one of those days.
E.J.: Well, you can relax. The rest of it is now over. It's just the, uh, just the two of us. Actually, I have to say, I didn't think that you would come.
Sami: I told you I'd be here, didn't I?
E.J.: Yes, but then again, you say so many things, don't you? Although, I suppose you did come through on this one.
Sami: I did everything you told me to do.
E.J.: You're a wise girl. [Laughs] Come on, Vegas awaits. If we're lucky, after the wedding, we'll have time for a game of baccarat.
Sami: Oh, um, E.J., why are we rushing off so fast? I thought maybe we could stay, enjoy the romantic cabin, maybe, um, turn it into our own Sin City.
E.J.: Soon. Soon. Is there a problem, Samantha?
Sami: Yes, there is. Do you know how much I have given up to be here with you? A little something in return would be nice.
Chelsea: You're really getting on my last nerve.
Willow: I just thought Nick should know what he's in for.
Chelsea: Don't listen to her.
Willow: She already got you to break the law.
Chelsea: No, I didn't.
Willow: Do you want to go to jail? Because that's exactly where you're going.
Nick: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. She's pregnant, Chelsea.
Chelsea: I don't care!
Willow: See? She's completely out of control.
Nick: Hey, just take it easy for a second, all right? Can everyone just start acting like adults? Can we discuss this? I understand why you're upset about the hairbrush, Willow. I do. But accidents happen.
Willow: Accidents, my ass.
Nick: One of the lab techs could have easily misplaced it.
Willow: Yes, you.
Nick: I never saw that hairbrush, okay?! Do you really think that they'd hand over such an important responsibility to somebody like me? Do you understand how low I am on the totem pole here?
Willow: Whoa, that is a lot of protesting for a guy who says he's innocent.
Chelsea: I'm out of here.
Willow: Chelsea, next time, bring me some flowers.
Nick: Hey.
Chelsea: Leave me alone.
Nick: Why? What is going on?
Chelsea: I can't see you anymore.
E.J.: What, not giving you enough attention, is that what you think?
Sami: I just want to know if you're attracted to me. You know, am I attractive?
E.J.: You mean sexually? [Laughs] Tell me, what is this? Is this your poor-little-girl routine, Samantha? I think we're both a little bit jaded for this, don't you?
Sami: You are such a pig. Do you know what I have given up to be here with you? I gave up my marriage, my family, any relationship I may have with my son. I had better not have given it all up to find out that you just think of me as some surrogate mother to your child. I thought we really had something together. E.J., I thought -- I hope you really care about me.
E.J.: Look at you. You're all sentimental, aren't you? I'd find it rather fetching, assuming it was genuine.
Sami: It is genuine. Seems ironic to me that the entire time I was fighting my feelings for you and pushing you away, you were all over me. And now when I agree to be with you because that's what I want, all of a sudden, you turn cold on me. E.J., I'm a woman... and I have needs.
Philip: Maybe you're right.
Kate: [Sighs]
Philip: When I find Shawn, I'm not gonna tell E.J.
Kate: Thank you.
Philip: But there's something I want you to do for me. Can you keep an eye on E.J.?
Kate: Oh, I always keep an eye on E.J.
Philip: Good. You'll let me know if he suddenly bolts on some mysterious business trip. We wouldn't want him getting to Shawn before I do.
Kate: Actually, he does have a business trip on the agenda, but it's with the wrong Brady -- Sami. Hey, take a look at this.
Philip: Brandy Mathas.
Kate: It's kind of an anagram for Samantha Brady.
Philip: Yeah, so?
Kate: So E.J. told me point-blank that he's flying to Vegas tonight to marry Brandy Mathas.
Philip: So you think --
Kate: No, no, no. I don't think. I know that he's going there to marry Sami.
Philip: And you know this for a fact.
Kate: Yes, I asked him.
Philip: And?
Kate: And he didn't deny it.
Philip: Which could mean anything. Where's Lucas? If anyone would know where Sami would be it's him.
Kate: Lucas and Sami right now are in a hotel room at the Towers.
Philip: So call him.
Kate: Honey, I can't call him. Believe me, I am on thin ice with him already.
Philip: Fine, I'll do it. Yeah, hi. Can I get Lucas Roberts' room, please? Thanks. It's ringing.
Kate: Okay. [Telephone ringing]
Philip: No answer.
Nick: You don't think we should see each other? Why?
Chelsea: We were never really even a couple to begin with.
Nick: Do you kiss all your casual acquaintances the way you kiss me?
Chelsea: I'm sorry, okay? I just didn't want to give you the wrong idea about where this is going.
Nick: Oh, that's nice. That's really nice, Chelsea, after everything that I have done for you.
Chelsea: I appreciate the "everything" you've done for me. But I-I need to move on from you, from Billie, from this job. I'm gonna start over. I want a clean slate, and the only way that I can do that is if you and I just take a break. I know that's not what you want to hear, but you have to understand it's what's best for me.
Nick: That's great, Chelsea. Congratulations. I'm glad you're finally putting yourself first for a change.
Chelsea: What's that supposed to mean?
Nick: You know damn well what that's supposed to mean. I am this close to losing everything 'cause of that stupid hairbrush.
Chelsea: Then tell the cops I forced you to steal it.
Nick: You know I can't do that. It's all happened. I lied to Roman.
Chelsea: Then -- I don't care what you do, okay? If you want to point the finger at me, fine.
Nick: I don't want to get you in trouble, Chelsea. And what am I supposed to do about Willow?
Chelsea: Let me tell you something, Nick. If you believe what Willow said, that I'm the one who started the fire in my dad's house, that I almost killed my stepmother and my baby sister, then it's probably best that we're over.
Nick: Hey.
Willow: Get out. You've already done enough. I just want to be alone. [Door closes]
Nick: Maybe I don't want to leave. Maybe... I think you could use a friend.
Belle: Look. Shawn and I have tried to keep our private life private, and we really haven't had much luck.
Gabby: I'm sorry if you --
Belle: No, I'm not blaming you. I'm just saying that it seems like everyone around here knows a little bit too much about what goes on behind closed doors, and it's really starting to get to me because I'm really afraid that it might lead to, I don't know, misunderstandings about Shawn and me.
Gabby: Okay, what do you mean?
Belle: I'm just saying I want everyone to know that Shawn and I are a couple, even if it doesn't seem like it sometimes.
Duck: Only thing I expect to hear from you, boy, is an apology.
Shawn D.: An apology?
Duck: Yeah, for taking my little girl from me.
Shawn D.: Gabby wants to go, Duck. There's nothing here for her.
Duck: Here was just fine till you showed up.
Shawn D.: Oh, come on. You know that this has got nothing to do with me. Gabby hasn't been happy here for a long time. The only reason why she stayed was for you.
Duck: She's been telling you her sob stories, huh? And you -- you fell for them like the sap you are.
Shawn D.: What are you talking about?
Duck: Gabby told you she needs a break, am I right? A chance to see the world, spread her wings a little bit, then it's right back home to old Duck, huh?
Shawn D.: Yeah, that's the way I heard it.
Duck: Well, you heard wrong, boy scout. She's not planning to come back here ever.
Shawn D.: She said that --
Duck: What? What? Gabby didn't tell you that part? Guess you're stuck with her, then, huh? Bon voyage, boy scout. [Laughs]
E.J.: So what exactly is it that you need from me, Samantha?
Sami: Oh, a kiss would be a nice place to start.
E.J.: Really? This has been a night full of surprises, hasn't it? [Laughs] First, you were almost on time. And now you're titillating me with this romantic overture. Do you want to know what I think about the kiss?
Sami: Tell me. Show me.
E.J.: I think that you're playing me for a fool.
Sami: E.J., stop it. You're hurting me.
E.J.: I'm hurting you, Samantha? And you're about to become a very sorry woman.
Philip: Lucas! Lucas, are you in there? [Knock on door] Lucas!
Kate: We have got to get in here. I have a bad feeling about this.
Philip: Lucas, are you there? [Knock on door] Lucas.
Stephanie: So what is it, Mom? What's wrong with dad?
Kayla: I think you might be the only person who can help.
Shawn D.: We're still on to set sail, right?
Gabby: [Clears throat]
Shawn D.: Okay, did I miss something here?
Kate: Before the phone went dead, I heard someone call out her name. Sami and E.J. are there together.
E.J.: Are you wearing a wire?
Sami: Aah! Nothing but me, E.J.
