Caroline: Right. Okay, now...
Jennifer: Uh, well, I'm just -- I'm not real happy with how our relationship is going.
Frankie: So, then what do you want to do about it?
Jennifer: I just -- I think that we should take the next logical step. I mean, Frankie, you know that Jack was the first man that I was ever with. And when we were in high school and we dated, we didn't do anything, you know? We waited. I don't take making love to someone very casual. It's not a casual thing.
Frankie: I know, and neither do I.
Jennifer: So I don't want to be lovers anymore. I want to be husband and wife.
Frankie: Come here.
Jennifer: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to blurt it out like that. I didn't mean to --
Frankie: Shh! Quiet. Quiet. Don't interrupt me. Don't interrupt me. I'm kissing the woman I love.
Jennifer: So, wait. Is that a yes?
Frankie: Are you kidding me? I have dreamed about asking you to marry me my whole life, and now you've beaten me to it. I love you. Bottle of champagne, please!
Caroline: What?
Frankie: Yes, I would like to toast my bride-to-be.
Caroline: What?! Oh, terrific. We're so -- wow.
Shawn: You've got a great girl there, Frankie.
Frankie: Oh, yes, I do.
Caroline: Well, welcome to the Brady Clan, Jennifer.
Jennifer: Thank you.
Caroline: I've always loved you, and now I can love you as part of the family and that means Abby and Jack Jr., too.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Caroline: Yeah. Well, okay, a bottle of our finest, Shawn. I mean, this is a real celebration.
Jennifer: Yes, it is.
Caroline: Yeah.
Shawn: Oh!
Frankie: I'm officially the happiest man alive.
Jennifer: Yeah. And you know what? I think -- I think somewhere Jack is really happy for us, too.
Jack: Seems like I've been dying forever. But this dream, it's...you. I think it was you. Some doctor keeps telling me there's gonna be a cure for this thing that's killing me.
Dr. Butler: It wasn't a dream. It was me, and there might be a cure.
Jack: Are you saying that I might not be dying after all?
Shawn D.: It's -- no --
Chelsea: Hey, Mimi. Hey.
Mimi: Hey.
Chelsea: What'd you get? Booties for your baby?
Mimi: Booties for my baby. No, no, no. Well, we haven't made a baby yet, so I wouldn't want to jinx things by buying baby stuff too soon. This is actually a gift for Victor's birthday. Honey, I got a present for your grandfather. It's a glass paperweight with a scene of the Greek Islands inside.
Shawn D.: That's perfect. He'll love it. Where did you find that? Thank you so much for going shopping 'cause you know I'm so busy here, I had no time to go.
Mimi: That's what I'm here for, honey.
Shawn D.: Hey.
Mimi: What?
Shawn D.: Do you want to see my invention?
Mimi: Your invention? You're a little inventor now all of a sudden?
Shawn D.: Yeah.
Mimi: What's up with that?
Max: This is seriously cool. Show her. Show her.
Shawn D.: You see this device right here? That is actually gonna force more air into the carburetor.
Mimi: So the car accelerates faster.
Shawn D.: Exactly.
Mimi: Wow, this could be huge, boys.
Shawn D.: Yeah, and Max is gonna help me market it.
Mimi: Oh, that's awesome. Race car driver seal of approval.
Max: No, this is awesome for me, too. I mean, I never thought I would be going into business, but when Shawn brought me this idea, I couldn't pass it up. We're gonna make enough money to retire on this, people.
Mimi: Wow, honey, I'm so proud of you, you little inventor.
Shawn D.: I'm investing into our future, you know, for all those Bradys’ that we have running around. Speaking of, how'd it go at the hospital?
Mimi: Well, I have some good news. Lexie said it's about time for us to conceive.
Shawn D.: Oh!
Lucas: Hey, Mom.
Kate: Hey.
Lucas: What are you doing here?
Kate: Well, we're planning a wedding, aren't we? So, did you pick out the design for your wedding gown?
Lucas: Yeah, actually, we did pick one out. It was a great one, but some things have changed. Something's come up. Carrie is, uh, pregnant.
Kate: Pregnant? [Exhales sharply] Well, gee, I guess I was a little slow on the uptake.
Lucas: Yeah.
Kate: Yeah, well, I guess I wasn't expecting it so soon.
Lucas: Well, yeah, neither were we, but you know, when you meet the right person, why wait, you know? You are happy for us, right, that we're having a baby, Mom?
Kate: Look, it's just taking a little time to sink in. I am thrilled. I'm thrilled for you.
Lucas: Thank you.
Kate: I'm thrilled.
Carrie: Oh, good.
Kate: Absolutely. I'm so happy for you. So, does Austin know the news yet?
Lucas: About the baby? Yeah, yeah, we told him. He's pretty happy about it.
Kate: Yeah, I'm sure. Where is he? I'd like to check on him, see how he's doing.
Carrie: He's on the roof with Sami.
Kate: [Exhales sharply]
Sami: Well, that's it, then.
Austin: That's it. What are you talking about?
Sami: Self-preservation -- that is my new mantra. I need a man who wants me for me, not someone who's choosing me because he can't really be with the woman that he loves. I'm tired of being everyone's second choice. And you have been honest with me. You're not even denying it. You want to be with Carrie. You would marry her if you could. So, I'm sorry, Austin, but I'm cutting you loose. I'm standing up for myself, and I am moving on with my life without you.
Like sands through the hourglass, so are the Days of our Lives.
Lucas: Listen, just don't freak out, all right? We were all up on the roof celebrating the baby news.
Kate: Sami wouldn't be celebrating someone else's good fortune. Don't expect me to believe that, Lucas.
Lucas: Mom, Sami is Will's mother, all right? She's Carrie's half sister.. She's gonna be the aunt to our baby. We got to get along. And if Austin and Sami get married, then --
Kate: Whoa! Wait a minute! What are you saying something like that for?
Lucas: Oh, that's right. You don't know. They're dating.
Kate: Oh, God.
Carrie: We left Sami and Austin on the roof to have a heart-to-heart.
Lucas: Yeah.
Kate: About what?
Carrie: Well, Austin was thinking out loud about his hopes and dreams, and Sami, you know...
Lucas: Got carried away, 12 steps ahead of herself.
Carrie: Yeah, she thought that Austin was proposing to her.
Lucas: Yeah, and she accepted. She accepted.
Sami: You look shocked.
Austin: Well, yeah. Yeah.
Sami: I am too, kind of. I never really thought that I would have the nerve to say all this, but -- but I mean it. Look, Austin, I do love you. And I always have, and I probably always will, but I can't waste my future hoping that you'll realize that I am the one. If you had your choice, you would pick Carrie, and I don't know if you're ever gonna get over her. So, what do I do? Do I sit around and wait, wishing and hoping that you'll change your mind? Or do I walk away with the last shreds of my dignity and start over? Maybe I should have learned from my sisters. They both thought that they had found true love, and Belle thought she should be with Shawn, and Carrie had you. And then they both end up with other men starting families with them. And that's what I want. I want someone new. I want a man who wants me. He wants me so bad that he is gonna fight for me, and he's gonna make me stop dreaming about the man that I can't have.
Austin: Sami --
Sami: I guess the weird thing is with Belle having Claire, I think that's what got Carrie's biological clock ticking. And now that Carrie is pregnant, I feel the same way. I know it's weird. I already have a son. And Will is the best part of my life. But I want more kids. I want a big family. I want a house that's filled with love. I know you're laughing at me.
Austin: I'm not laughing.
Sami: But I'm just human, too, you know? I'm lonely. I'm lonely even when I'm with you because I know I'm not the woman that you want. Well, there's really nothing more to say, so, um... goodbye. Thank you for everything. You'll always be my first love.
Austin: Sami, don't go.
Shawn D.: You know, Victor's party is starting pretty soon. We should get changed and head over there. I want to hit him up when he's in a good mood, you know?
Max: Shawn Brady, mover and shaker -- got to love it.
Mimi: I got you a new shirt, honey. Wear it.
Shawn D.: Yes, ma'am.
Max: Hey, wait, wait. What about me?
Mimi: Oh, sorry, Max. Get your own wife. [Sighs]
Chelsea: Shawn's never gonna forgive me, is he? I know. Why should he, right? What I did was wrong in only about 300 different ways. Zack was my brother, too, and now the only brother I have left is Shawn, and he hates me. When you're family, shouldn't there be forgiveness?
Mimi: You know, Chelsea, I did something really hurtful to my ex-fiancé. I had an abortion without telling him, and he said he would never forgive me when he found out. And he probably never will.
Chelsea: I can't be the black sheep of my family for the rest of my life.. I'll go crazy.
Mimi: I hope things get better between you and Shawn someday, but he's had so much loss.
Chelsea: But Zack wouldn't want his brother and sister to hate each other.
Mimi: Okay, don't say that. Chelsea, come on. You barely even knew Zack. You can't speak for him. You don't know what he would want.
Chelsea: I'm sorry, but --
Mimi: I'm just telling you because I know it makes Shawn want to tear your head off, and it's disrespectful of his family's pain. Well, his and his mom's. I guess that's all the family he's got now.
Chelsea: That's not true. He still has dad.
Mimi: Well, I don't know how long it's gonna take for him to forgive his dad, either. Look, Chelsea, I made lots of mistakes in my life, and I've never gotten away without being punished, so expect it. It's coming.
Chelsea: I won't go to jail, Mimi. I can’t. I wouldn't be able to handle it. Look, could you please just try to convince Shawn not to testify against me and to maybe stop putting me down in front of Max all the time? We really like each other, and I really think that we could have a future.
Mimi: Well, I can't make any promises, but I'll try for Shawn's sake.
Chelsea: Thank you. And I hope that you get pregnant really soon. I know how much Shawn wants to be a dad.
Mimi: Our marriage is doomed, especially if he finds out that he's the father of Belle's baby.
Kate: Don't ever say that again. He's not going to find out because I'm not gonna tell him, your mother's not gonna tell him, and you're not gonna tell him. So how is he gonna find out?
Mimi: Oh, God. I've suffered enough. Please don't make me pay for my other sins.
Chelsea: [Thinking] What else is Mimi guilty about? Maybe I could use it to keep me out of jail.
Caroline: It's perfect.
Philip: So, I thought, why not the Brady Pub? 'Cause I know how much you love the clam chowder.
Caroline: Right on.
Philip: So...
Victor: Clam chowder, is it?
Caroline: [Laughs]
Victor: Well, you got me, Philip.
Philip: Ha ha!
Victor: I must be slipping.
Philip: Mm-hmm.
Caroline: You didn't forget your birthday, now, did you, Victor?
Victor: Well, I try to, but it keeps coming around year after year whether I want it to or not.
Caroline: It beats the alternative.
Victor: That's for sure. I'm very touched by this, Caroline.
Philip: I'm glad. And thank you, Caroline, for having his birthday party here.
Caroline: Well, Victor is part of our family, too.
Victor: Well, that's stretching the family tree a bit, isn't it?
Caroline: Well, what if it is? It's my family tree. And I like having you on it. So there.
Philip: I wish my little family could be here, but actually Claire woke up this morning with kind of a little bit of a cold, so Belle stayed home with her.
Caroline: I see.
Philip: She'll be all right.
Caroline: Bo couldn't be here either. He says he has a heavy work load at the station, but I really think that it's he can't face a family gathering without Hope.
Victor: Nothing worse than losing the love of your life.
Philip: Grandpa Shawn.
Victor: Shawn, thank you for agreeing to host this. Gracious as always.
Shawn: Agree? The party was my idea. [Laughs]
Caroline: That's right. Shawn said that you are Bo's father, and you are part of this family.
Shawn: It's my way of thanking you for saving Caroline's life. I'm forever grateful to you, Victor.
Caroline: We've got even more to celebrate. Frankie and Jennifer are getting married.
Frankie: What's wrong?
Jennifer: Nothing. Nothing.
Frankie: Why are you crying?
Jennifer: Oh, you've been a bachelor for too long. Women cry when they're happy.
Frankie: Oh, they're happy tears.
Jennifer: Yes, they're very happy tears... because you accepted my proposal, and I love you. And I have had the most special love for you since we were kids. And I know that this is what Jack wanted. He wanted me to marry you and be happy.
Frankie: No disrespect to Jack... I need to know if you want to marry me because you really mean it or is it because it's what Jack wanted?
Dr. Butler: It's a highly experimental treatment, but --
Jack: Has it ever cured a patient with my illness before?
Dr. Butler: No.
Jack: End of discussion.
Dr. Butler: Jack, it's a chance. You've got to take it.
Jack: No.
Dr. Butler: No?
Jack: No! No. I've spent too many months preparing for my own death. You're not gonna change my decision now.
Frankie: You've taken me by surprise today because yesterday you weren't even sure if you wanted our relationship to continue. We've known each other a long time. I don't want to rush into anything. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, either. I'm just saying that if you're doing this -- if you said you wanted to marry me because you want to keep your promise to Jack, don't -- don't do it.
Shawn D.: Hey, Happy Birthday, Victor!
Victor: Oh, thank you, Shawn.
Philip: How are you, Meems?
Mimi: Hey!
Victor: Mimi, you look radiant.
Mimi: Oh, thank you. Happy Birthday, Mr. Kiriakis.
Victor: Oh, much too formal. We'll have to do something about that.
Mimi: Oh, okay.
Chelsea: Happy Birthday, Grandpa.
Victor: Chelsea.
Chelsea: You remember Max.
Victor: Yes, of course. How are you, Max?
Max: Hi, Mr. K.
Philip: Claire's not here. She has some kind of cold, so Belle stayed home with her. She's all right, though.
Mimi: A mother's job is never done. I can't wait to have those problems.
Shawn D.: Hey, well, if everything goes as planned, I cannot wait to be a father.
Chelsea: My dad's not here. I wonder if Shawn told him not to come.
Max: Oh, he's probably working. He's trying to track down Patrick Lockhart.
Chelsea: Yeah, but Patrick is Mimi's brother.
Max: Yeah, so?
Chelsea: So if Bo arrests Patrick, I mean, don't you think that would cause problems for Shawn and Mimi's marriage?
Max: Why do I get the feeling that you wouldn't mind that?
Kate: My God. Let me get this straight. Okay, Sami accepted Austin's proposal before he even made it?
Lucas: Yeah.
Kate: Yeah, well, she wasn't getting ahead of herself. She was baiting her trap! She's not stupid, you know? Sometimes I wonder about my son. She would do absolutely anything to get Austin to marry her -- anything. And you left the two of them up there alone.
Lucas: Just relax, all right? Chill out. It's fine.
Kate: No! I won't! I won't chill out!
Carrie: Kate, please. Sami is my sister. I want her to be happy.
Lucas: Yeah.
Kate: Sweetie, Sami is never going to be happy, and Austin is never going to be happy with her. How long have they been up there?
Lucas: About 20 minutes, half-hour, something like that.
Kate: Good God. I have to get up there and stop them.
Carrie: Kate, don't do this.
Austin: I really hate to admit this, but you are right. I have been treating you like crap. You have got every right to be mad at me. It was a long time coming. I'm sorry. I got so used to treating you like a schemer, I think I forgot you have feelings.
Sami: It's okay, Austin. I did some really horrible things to you.
Austin: Well, I got you back. Leaving you at the altar was brutal. I meant it to be. I never wanted to see you again. Obviously I don't feel that way anymore because, you know, here I am.
Sami: And you've been a really good friend to me, but I can't help wanting us to be more than friends. And the way you've been going back and forth, my heart can't take it.
Austin: You deserve better.
Sami: So do you. That's why you still love my sister.
Austin: That's why you still love my brother.
Sami: Austin, that's different. I know Lucas doesn't love me back.
Austin: Yes, he does. I'm not sure how Carrie feels about me. I thought I knew until I found out she's pregnant with Lucas' child. I was determined to go after her pretty hard. No way was I giving up, Sami. But a baby... a new life coming into the world that's Carrie and Lucas' -- I can't fight that. It's over between me and Carrie. I finally have to accept it.
Sami: Do you think you can do that?
Austin: I'm working on it. And you're helping me.
Sami: See, that's the thing. I can't help you. When we're together, when we're intimate, it's not just my body loving you, Austin. It's all of me. And it hurts me so much to know that you don't really want to be with me. It makes me feel used.
Austin: I'm sorry that I've been taking advantage of you.
Sami: I've been pretty easy. And I can't be anymore, which is why I'm asking you to move out. I don't think we should talk for a while, except for business because I want our business to work. But personally, I don't want to go to dinner with you, and I don't want to dance with you or anything that involves touching or being alone together. I'm serious. In fact, I don't think we should spend one more night together in the same apartment.
Austin: Sami --
Sami: No. Ugh, God. I just want to go. Please, there's nothing left to say.
Austin: I don't want you to go. I don't want to lose you.
Philip: I need a beer. I'm gonna get one right now. I'll be back.
Shawn D.: Have a heyday.
Shawn: Victor looks to be enjoying himself.
Caroline: Yeah. Yeah, but I think it must be tough for him to be alone at this time of life.
Victor: Your paperweight is going on my desk first thing tomorrow. You know, I have got to take my grandchildren to Greece, sail around the islands.
Mimi: Sign me up.
Shawn D.: Maybe after we have our baby and after we get the business off the ground. Your backing is really gonna help. I can't thank you enough for financing the device that Max and I want to build, Victor.
Victor: I'm a businessman. It seemed like a good deal.
Philip: Speaking of good deals, you hear these two are trying to have a baby?
Victor: Well, yes, I did.
Philip: We're very excited 'cause they're gonna live right across the hall from us, and it's like Claire's gonna have a new brother or sister, right, buddy?
Victor: [Thinking] Not "like." Shawn and Mimi's baby will be Claire's brother or sister.
Jennifer: Frankie... I love Jack. I will always love Jack. He's a part of me. But he's gone, and I know that he's not coming back, so there are certain decisions that I have to make about my life.
Frankie: You don't have to decide right now.
Jennifer: No, I know I don't, but you have been so patient, and I'm not gonna go back and forth like this and keep driving myself crazy and driving you crazy. It is what Jack wanted, yes, but it's what I want. And I'm not gonna feel guilty about it anymore. I proposed to you because I meant it, because I want that. I would be honored to share your life with you. And me and Abby and Jack Jr., you know, we're a package deal, so if you want all of us, you can have --
Frankie: If I want you?
Jack: When I found out I had this damn disease, I made every provision for my wife and children. I even went so far as to convince Jennifer's high-school sweetheart to stick around after my funeral.
Dr. Butler: And help himself to your wife.
Jack: Look... she has a better chance of being happy with him than I do of surviving this procedure. True or false? True or false? Be honest with me, damn it, please..
Dr. Butler: True.
Jack: Thank you.
Dr. Butler: Jack, you're not thinking. What if you end up cured? You're very much alive and your wife moves on with another man? Is that what you want?
Sami: Austin, you can't lose something that you don't have, and I don't belong to you.
Austin: Will you just give me a minute? Just -- please. I'm not making any sense. Okay, um, there has been a lot of good between us. I'm not sure we should throw that away.
Sami: That's what I mean. You're not sure, and I don't think you ever will be.
Austin: Look, I know I haven't treated you the way I should have. You're right about that. There's a lot of history that we need to live down. But there's been some fun, too.
Sami: Yeah, we have fun. Austin, that is not enough for me.
Austin: Well, not only fun, but do you always notice how we always wind up back in each other's lives?
Sami: That's because of all of the things that I have done. And if I didn't do those things, you would have moved on with your life, and you would have forgotten all about me.
Austin: Not true. Not true. There is a special place in my heart just for you -- only you. Now that you're talking about taking yourself out of my life, you know, I realize what an important part of my life you are. Sami, I don't have a biological clock ticking like you, but time is going by for me, too. And I want to be able to hold my kids, you know, to play with him or her.
Sami: I know.
Austin: You do know I love you.
Sami: You do?
Austin: Yes. And you love me, too. Oh, there I go again, taking you for granted. Do you still love me?
Sami: Of course. Of course I do, Austin.
Austin: And I have loved will since he was born. So, why you did what you did and how I handled it, that's the past. The important thing is I love Will like a son, so in many ways, the three of us, we're already a family. Do you know where I'm going with this? Do you know where I'm...
Sami: No, I mean, look, I'm wrong so much of the time that you better just draw me a picture.
Austin: Okay, how's this? Okay? Sami, will you marry me? Will you share my life?
Jack: I'm not the same guy I was when this all started. I got a rather dark view of life now, to put it mildly. It comes from getting kicked in the teeth one time too many. You see, at my urging, Jennifer's already moved on with Frankie Brady.
Dr. Butler: You don't know that for a fact.
Jack: My wife is a beautiful and caring woman. Frankie would have to be a blind idiot not to move in on her, especially after I gave him the permission to do just that. You see, I set the whole romance into motion before I left, doc. It just wouldn't be fair for me to come bouncing back into town and say, "here, honey. Here I am. I'm home." It just wouldn't be fair. I -- I wouldn't do that to Jennifer. I want her to be happy with Frankie.
Frankie: Thanks. Appreciate it. All right. Yeah. Bye-bye. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I remember hearing through the family grapevine that you and Jack had split up, and I actually thought for a second maybe I had a shot. But then something told me that you and Jack belonged together and that you'd work things out.
Jennifer: And you were right. We did. I mean, we both had to give a little, but we got to a really good place -- such a good place.
Frankie: And you know I never wished for anything to happen to Jack. You know that, right? I mean, I was perfectly willing to admire you from afar.
Jennifer: Pretty far. D.C. to Salem.
Frankie: That was intentional, believe me. I knew that there was no way that I could handle running into you randomly and having the occasional cappuccino. That would have been torturous. I mean, it would have killed me.
Jennifer: I know, but if you keep saying things like that, I'm gonna cry again.
Frankie: All I'm saying is I just -- I want you to know that even though you lost Jack, I love you with all my heart.
Jennifer: I know.
Frankie: And I will honor Jack by being the best husband and stepfather I can be. Um...
Jennifer: You okay?
Frankie: Yeah. Um... I just -- I asked pop if I could borrow this until I got you a real one. He gave this to mom a long time ago, and it's kind of a Brady tradition.
Jennifer: Yeah.
Frankie: Yeah. Now, don't cry.
Jennifer: Okay. I'll try.
Frankie: Okay, now it's my turn to propose to you.
Jennifer: Okay.
Frankie: Jennifer, will you marry me?
Jennifer: Yes. Yes, I will. [Cheers and whistling] You're all in on this, aren't you?
Shawn: Welcome to the Brady Family.
Jennifer: Thank you so much. Everyone was in on this, huh?
Frankie: Yeah.
Mimi: Aw!
Shawn: Whoo! Bravo! Bravo!
Victor: I know how it feels.
Chelsea: What?
Victor: To be the black sheep, have everyone against you. I almost came between Shawn and Caroline years ago. Actually, your father was a bit of a black sheep when he was your age.
Chelsea: Maybe that's because he didn't have his real father around when he was growing up.
Victor: Oh, Shawn was a fine father to him.
Chelsea: I'm sure he was, but he wasn't his dad. You were. Something like that can have an effect on a kid. I mean, just look at me.
Victor: Well, Bo didn't know that Shawn wasn't his biological father.
Chelsea: Yeah, neither did you and neither did Grandpa Shawn. But somehow that made a difference, didn't it? He's not treated the same as his brothers and sisters.
Victor: Yes, I'm afraid you're right. That's why I worry about Claire.
Chelsea: What was that about Claire? Philip's a great dad. He adores her..
Victor: Oh, yes, of course. Claire just has a cold. I was thinking that Philip should go home and help Belle take care of her. Every moment a father spends with a child is precious, even though Claire's too young to remember. You can't go back and capture those times. You remember, keep your chin up.
Chelsea: [Exhales sharply] Sorry, Gramps, but I'm not buying your cover. Something else is going on here.
Shawn D.: We're married. We got a child on the way -- well, okay, maybe not on the way -- in the works. I couldn't be happier. I'm getting everything I wanted -- a beautiful wife and a kid.
Mimi: [Thinking] This in vitro thing better work so I can give Shawn a baby. Then all I have to do is make sure he never finds out Claire is his baby, too.
Max: You know, you're a slow starter, but once you make your move, you rock.
Frankie: It's about time I get some respect from you.
Max: I know. I got you.
Shawn: To our Frankie, who's back home where he belongs!
Caroline: Hear! Hear!
Shawn: And to his lovely bride-to-be, Jennifer. May they enjoy a long, happy marriage blessed by our dear Lord. Drink up, everyone! This is a party! Yay! Yay!
Shawn D.: Cheers.
Jennifer: Whoo!
Frankie: I'm sorry, but my family tends to get a little excited about parties and births.
Jennifer: That's all right. I'm all for excited. I can't wait to go home and tell Abby.
Frankie: I hope she's happy about me joining your family.
Jennifer: Frankie, she loves you. She does. And she knows that her dad's not coming back. And you know, we have wonderful memories to hold on to, but I think we also have an incredible future to look forward to. To our future.
Nurse: Here are the computer search results, Dr. Butler.
Dr. Butler: [Clears throat] This isn't good news, Jack. I'm afraid you're not a candidate for this protocol after all. I'm very sorry.
Jack: Hey, win some, lose some.
Dr. Butler: Can I do anything for you, Jack?
Jack: Sure. Let me die here.
Dr. Butler: Eventually we'll move you to the hospice wing. They'll take very good care of you, but you don't have to die alone.
Jack: Yes, I do. Doc, yes, I do.
Lucas: Here we are, ladies.
Carrie: Thank you.
Kate: Thank you.
Lucas: This is the happiest moment of my life. I'm engaged to Carrie. We're gonna have the most beautiful, amazing little baby ever. And I know it doesn't sound too modest, but come on, how can we lose? Look at us.
Kate: Oh, boy. You can't lose.
Lucas: Thank you.
Kate: I'm very happy for you. I really am.
Lucas: Thanks.
Carrie: Thank you.
Lucas: To Mr. and Mrs. Lucas Roberts.
Austin: Oh, wait a second. We're gonna need two more glasses.
Carrie: Oh, okay.
Lucas: All right.
Kate: Austin, where have you been?
Austin: Well, just one moment, Mom, please.
Lucas: It's nonalcoholic, of course. I'm high just because I'm engaged to Carrie. Enjoy the cider.
Austin: Lucas, I know what you mean. Um, I would like to propose a toast..
Kate: Okay.
Austin: To my new fiancé.
Kate: Oh! God!
Sami: Are you all right? Kate, I just -- be careful. You know, you're so happy.
Austin: To the future Mrs. Austin Reed.
Sami: Austin...
Kate: Are you insane?
Austin: Insanely happy, Mom.
Kate: [Exhales sharply] This is not going to happen. There is no way -- no way you're going to marry Sami.
Mimi: You were there for me during my egg harvesting. Would you like me to be there --
Shawn D.: No, thank you.
Tek: You don't deserve this, Lexie, and Abe does not deserve a woman like you.
Lucas: Mom, I want you to knock it off, all right? Or else Austin, Carrie, Will, and I won't have anything to do with you ever again.
Hope: Patrick, what are you doing?
Alex: What I paid him to do.
Hope: Oh, my God. Bo was right about you all along.
