Lucas: You e-mail me the information as soon as you get it, all right? I'll run the numbers, and then I'll get the proposal ready for Victor for the takeover... otherwise known as another nail in Sami, Austin, and Nicole's coffins.

Sami: This is crazy. It is insane. I cannot believe that Austin is meeting with Mickey Horton at this hour in this dangerous weather, and all because of you and your idiotic idea.

Nicole: Would you just relax? First of all, the sleet has turned into rain, and the roads have been salted. It's perfectly safe. And secondly, taking over Highstyle is not an idiotic idea, and if you weren't such an idiot, you would understand that. Right now this is the best thing we got to guarantee a successful future for Austin's company.

Sami: Give me a break, Nicole. The only successful future that you are trying to guarantee is for yourself in Austin's bed.

Nicole: Excuse me?

Sami: We all know that you are after Austin. Don't try to deny it.

Philip: Sweetheart, it's okay. You're going to be fine. You are. You see, honey, the doctors are going to do everything they can to get you well and get you home with mommy and daddy. But you listen to me, honey. You have to keep fighting. And trust me on this, because I know. Don't you stop fighting, not even for a second.

[Inhales, exhales raggedly]

Kate: Philip doesn't have the right blood type to be Claire's father, but Shawn does.

Kate: [Thinking] Either Belle is lying about being a virgin when she married Philip, or she slept with Shawn while he was overseas. Either way, Shawn has to be the baby's father. There's no other explanation. Dear God, this is a disaster. If Philip knew --

Philip: Mom? Are you -- are you okay?

Kate: Yeah, baby, I'm just worried. I'm worried about Claire. Any change in her condition?

Philip: She's still on antibiotics, and Lexie's waiting for another test to come back. But I'm worried about you. Are you all right? You sure?

Kate: Yeah. I guess I'm just tired, and I'm -- and, baby, I am worried. I'm worried not just about Claire, but about you and Belle.

Philip.: Here.

Kate: Oh, no.

Philip: Why are you worried about Belle and me, mom?

Kate: Because I know you have to be exhausted, and -- and you need to take care of your health, as well.

Philip: If you're talking about my leg, I'm fine. Don't worry about it. And Belle --

Kate: And Belle -- where is Belle right now? Why isn't she up here with you and Claire?

Philip: Belle is with Shawn, which is exactly where she should be right now.

Abby: It can't be true. My father can't be gone.

Jennifer: Baby, it's not true. It's a mistake. I am telling you it is a terrible mistake.

Frankie: I wish it was, Jen...but the weather was bad, and we know that Jack's car crashed through the guardrail of the bridge.

Jennifer: No, it didn’t.

Bo: I went into the river tonight. All I could recover was the license plate to his car.

Hope: Jen, I'm so sorry.

Bo: I'd give anything not to be standing here giving you this news.

Abby: What news? You still don't have any proof that my dad is gone. You didn't find his car. You didn't see him.

Bo: No, I didn’t. It's very difficult to see anything tonight.

Jennifer: Okay, so it's possible. It's possible that Jack is alive. There is a chance.

Bo: It's possible he was thrown from the car -- yeah.

Hope: That's why Patrick, Billie, and Chelsea have gone back out. They're checking all along the riverbank to see if they can find Jack.

Jennifer: Okay, but Patrick and Billie -- aren't there more people who could be searching for my husband?

Bo: With this ice storm, there were a lot of accidents. The fire and police departments -- they're resourced out to the max. They're doing the best they can with the manpower they have.

[Cellphone rings] Excuse me. Brady.

Jennifer: It's your dad. It's your dad. They found him. I know it, honey..

Kate: What do you mean, that Belle and Shawn should be together?

Philip: Mom, I just mean I wanted Shawn to look after her while I watch the baby.

Kate: Look after her?

Philip: It was your idea. You were right. Belle's tired. She's worn out. She needed a break.

Kate: I know that, but what's wrong with John and Marlena? Why couldn't they be the ones looking out for her?

Philip: John, Marlena, and Dr. North went home, so Shawn and Mimi took Belle down to the cafeteria to get her something to eat. She didn't even want to go, but I think she should keep her strength up.

Kate: I think you should be there -- not Shawn. You're her husband.

Philip: I know that, and I wish that I could be there, but someone has to watch the baby. What can I do? What can I do? [Sighs] She's really -- she's really sick, mom.

Kate: Honey, I know. I know.

Philip: And I don't understand what happened, because just a few hours ago, she was fine. Everything was perfect then.

Kate: Baby, she is going to be all right because she's a fighter, just like her father.

Philip: That's what I was just telling her. But she's so tiny. She's so fragile. And if anything ever happens to her, mom --

Kate: Nothing is going to happen, okay? She's going to pull through this..

Philip: Yeah. Yeah. She will.

[Inhales sharply]

[Groans]

Kate: What is it? What's wrong?

Philip: It's just, um, my prosthesis -- when I'm on it for a long time, it starts to bother me a little bit.

Kate: Well, why aren't you sitting? You should be sitting. Honey, here.

Philip: It's okay.

Kate: It is not okay. It's not okay. You're a father now. You have a family. You have to be strong for your wife and your child. Please sit down. Sit.

Philip: Fine.

Kate: Thank you. [Sighs] Hey, I'll be right back, okay?

Philip: Yeah.

Kate: Lexie, it is so unfair. He has been through so much. He can't lose her now. He can't lose his baby.

Abby: Mom, did they find dad? Is that what's going on?

Jennifer: I hope so, honey.

Abby: He just can't be gone, not when we didn't even get to say goodbye.

Jennifer: You're right. You're right. And he's not. He's gonna come home to us. I know he will.

Bo: Yeah. Okay. I'll be right there.

Abby: Is my dad all right? What's going on?

Jennifer: Did they find Jack? Is he in a hospital? Is he okay?

Bo: No, Jen. I'm sorry. They didn't find him. That was the fire department. They finally got some heavy equipment down to the bridge. They're gonna try to locate the car and bring it up out of the river.

Jennifer: Right, and they're gonna find him. When they do, they're gonna see that he is alive.

Frankie: Jen, I don't know how that's possible.

Jennifer: It is possible. We did a segment on our talk show about it -- how you escape from a submerged vehicle. There's always an air pocket, and Jack knows not to panic. He knows exactly what to do in that kind of situation.

Abby: Mom's right. We learned about this in school. Cars go under the Amsterdam Canals all the time, and most of the people escape and are okay because they know what to do.

Jennifer: Exactly. Exactly.

Bo: I'm sure that's the case. I got to get down there.

Jennifer: I'm gonna go with you 'cause I am gonna be there when they pull him up out of the water.

Frankie: I don't think that's such a good idea. Let bo handle it, okay?

Bo: Frankie's right. Hope, you and Frankie can stay here with Jen and Abby, right?

Jennifer: I am going with you! My husband is fighting for his life in a frozen river, and I am gonna be the first person that he sees when they pull him up out of that water! He is gonna need me.

Abby: Mom, I'm going, too. Please don't leave me here.

Jennifer: Yes, you can go. We're both going.

Bo: Okay. I can see there's no talking you of this.

Jennifer: So let's get going. Oh, gosh. Jack Jr. Um, let me call my neighbor. She'll watch him. We got to get over there. I want my face to be the first one Jack sees when they pull him out of that water. Come on, baby.

Nicole: I am not interested in getting Austin into bed.

Sami: You are such a liar. I can tell by the way that you look at him -- the way you're all huddled up next to him at his desk.

Nicole: It's called "working."

Sami: Right -- you working him. Come on, Nicole. Every time you try to get him to catch an eyeful when you're leaning over, it's disgusting.

Nicole: You're just jealous because you've seen Austin checking me out. I can't help it if he's attracted to me.

Sami: Oh, get over yourself. You want him, and we all know it.

Austin: You know, if I don't leave now and seek my fortune, I can't come back a huge success and knock your socks off.

Nicole: Wait. You don't have to leave to impress me. I-I think you're incredible already.

Austin: Maybe I just need to prove some things to myself. I can make it on my own. I don't need my mother helping me get my foot in the door. I don't need a beautiful blond mogul in my corner rooting for me.

Nicole: There'll be a beautiful blonde. It just won't be me, huh?

Austin: Hey, we're still gonna be working together on Permalash, just on the phone. I like your voice on the phone. You know, there were, um, some times that I would -- I would call you instead of walking down the hallway to your office, just so I could hear you say, "Nicole Walker."

Nicole: A you sure about this?

Austin: As sure as I can be, looking at your beautiful face. Yeah.

Nicole: Then I have to let you go.

Nicole: Ooh. You remember our bet, right? If I win, you come home with me tonight.

Austin: Well, let's just see how the evening goes.

Nicole: Sounds good to me.

Austin: Okay, but no matter what, I'm still gonna be there for Sami. You know, I'm about the only friend she has right now. And call me crazy, but I would really like to help her get her life together, because if she doesn't, I'd hate to think what could happen to her.

Nicole: [Sighs] I wonder if Sami has any idea how lucky she is to have a friend like you.

Austin: I'm your friend, too.

Nicole: Maybe that's why I'm feeling so lucky.

Austin: [Chuckles]

Nicole: Okay. Yeah, I admit it, but so do you.

Sami: Me?

Sami: I still can't believe that you care about me.

Austin: Why wouldn't I?

Sami: I could give you a list.

Austin: Well, whatever happened between us is in the past. You're hurting, and what kind of human being would I be if I didn't try to help you get through this just to walk away?

Sami: You'd be just like everyone else in this town.

Austin: I'm not like anyone else.

Sami: You never were, were you?

Austin: You know, Sami, I know all too well what it's like to have your whole world fall apart.

Sami: Yeah, because of me.

Austin: You know the only thing that's worse? Is having to go through it all alone, no one to lean on. You're not all alone.

Sami: Thank you.

Nicole: Yes, you, Sami. But Highstyle has nothing to do with this, okay? It is strictly business.

Sami: Right -- Austin's business that you almost ruined, remember? You talked him into taking out all those loans before we had the Clear Visage account. And then Lucas stole it from us, so now we're left buried in debt. It'll be a miracle if we're managing to dig our way out.

Nicole: Which is why it is so important we take over Highstyle. I thought even you would understand that. Sami, we can't build a business without a product. The best way to use these loans is for us to acquire this company.

Sami: Yeah, but how do we know that this company is really worth our while?

Nicole: Because I have done my research. But more to the point, I heard Lucas telling Victor that he was interested in Highstyle, and Victor was enthusiastic about it. So if Titan is gunning after this company, you know they're worth going after. But the key for us is to get to them before he and Lucas.

Sami: Because if Titan gets there first --

Nicole: Yeah. Otherwise, we can't compete with them.

Sami: Nicole, I think this is a big mistake. In fact, should I say "another big mistake"?

Nicole: You're wrong, Sami. Or should I say "you're wrong again, as usual"? Fortunately, Austin agrees with me, as usual, which is why he is meeting with Mickey as we speak. He knows as well as I do that this is our best hope -- our only hope.

Sami: Well, what if it fails?

Nicole: It won’t.

Sami: But if it does, Nicole, then we're ruined, right?

Nicole: Sami, don't you have anything better to do than stand here and be negative?

Sami: Yeah. As a matter of fact, I do, and it's not too late.

Nicole: For what?

Sami: I have to talk to Lucas about Will and school. I'll be right back.

Nicole: Fine. Take your time 'cause I'll be here working, and God knows I don't need your help, not that you offered.

Sami: You're right. I didn’t. You want to know why? Because I don't want to be anywhere near it so that you can't blame me when it tanks.

Lucas: You did a great job, Eugenia. Thank you very much. No. That's fine. Just go ahead and get some sleep, and I'll call you if I need anything. All right. This is perfect. All I got to do now is get the okay from Victor and then plan my raid on Highstyle.

[Knock on door] Who is it?

Sami: Lucas, it's me. I need to talk to you.

Lucas: What the hell does she want? I'm working right now. Can't it wait till morning?

Sami: No, it can't wait. Look, it's about Will.

Lucas: Hold on, okay?

Sami: Come on!

Lucas: I'm coming! You know what? What is so damn important that it can't wait till the morning?

Sami: Look, I just wanted you to know that I'm going with you and Will to his parent/teacher conference. I hope you don't have a problem with that.

Lucas: No, I don't have a problem with that. I have a problem with you. But since we're Will's parents, I guess there are certain things we have to do together. This is one of them.

Sami: Yeah. I want to know what happened to his "a" in math. How did it drop so quickly? You are making him do his homework, right?

Lucas: Yes, mommy, I'm making him do his homework.

Sami: Well, are you helping him with it? [Scoffs] Why do I even ask? You don't even remember your times tables. I hope Victor doesn't know about that. Maybe he wouldn't think you're such an asset to his company.

Lucas: I had four years of college prep. Got all the way to calculus. What about you?

Sami: I don't think my education or lack thereof is relevant here because obviously I'm better at helping Will with his math homework than you are.

Lucas: If he wanted your help, he'd ask for it, Sami. And it doesn't matter. The homework is not the problem. The tests are what's killing him right now.

Sami: Well, then, what do you think it is?

Lucas: I don't know. Maybe he's a little distracted. He's a little distraught because you keep breaking his heart. Maybe that's it.

Sami: I am not the one who is breaking Will's heart. You broke his heart when you broke up with me.

Lucas: It was the hardest thing I ever had to do, but it was the best thing for me, you, and Will. I have a lot of work to do. If you'll excuse me --

Sami: Wait. [Sighs] Can I come in?

Lucas: Gee, what for?

Sami: I just want to talk to you. I -- Nicole is in my apartment, and Austin's not there, and I hate being alone with her, okay? You were right all along. I can't stand Nicole. She's so freaking irritating, especially now that she's driving Austin's company into the ground.

Lucas: Really? Well, is it that bad?

Sami: Yeah. That bad. So, can I come in or what?

Lucas: Yeah, I guess I have a minute to spare.

Sami: Oh, thanks, General.

Lexie: Kate, no. I honestly don't believe that Belle and Philip are going to lose this baby. Granted, she's very sick, and we still don't have the final test results, but we have every reason to believe the antibiotics will do their job. Listen, at this point, we have to stay positive for both of them.

Kate: I know that. I do. Absolutely. We do. And Philip is positive. But I can't help but think if they did lose Claire, I don't know how he would ever handle it, or Belle, either, for that matter.

Lexie: Well, believe me, I understand your concerns. Abe and I know firsthand what it's like to lose a child. I mean, I know it's not exactly the same, but [Exhales deeply] when we found out the baby we'd adopted really belonged to Bo and Hope, we were devastated, you know? It just tore our marriage apart.

Kate: I know. I remember that. It was terrible. I remember when I lost Austin and Billie. I thought my life was over. I mourned for so many years. And even now that we're back together, I am not the same person, and neither are they. People wonder why I'm so overprotective of my children. Can you blame me? And I don't want that for Philip. She's his baby.

Lexie: Of course she is.

Kate: Lexie, it's just that Claire has really bonded them together. She's made them even come closer together. And if it wasn't for her -- I don't know. I-I don't even want to think about it.

[Sighs]

[Thunder rumbling]

Abby: Mom, what's going on? Why haven't they found dad?

Jennifer: I don't know, but they will find him! They will find him soon!

Frankie: Let's hope so. This weather isn't helping.

Hope: Are you sure you two wouldn't rather wait in the car?

Jennifer: No. I am staying right here.

Abby: Me too.

Jennifer: Bo. Bo, what is going on? Where is Jack?! Why haven't they found him?!

Bo: I'm sorry, Jen. We don't know anything about Jack yet, but we have found his car. We're gonna use a robotic arm to bring it up out of the river.

Abby: Please hurry. My dad needs to get to a hospital. He needs help.

Hope: Abby, we really don't know anything yet.

Abby: So, what are you saying?

Jennifer: Hope, listen. You say that you don't know anything yet, but I know. I know. Jack is sick and he may be dying, but he has time left. He wouldn't leave us like this. He -- he wants to hang on. He wants to do everything possible to stay here with us. The only reason that he went out tonight was to get me flowers. He went to get me flowers because they were important to me because he wants me to be happy because he loves us. He wouldn't leave --

Hope: Stop!

Jennifer: He told me he was gonna be home, and I believe him! I believe he's coming home!

[Music playing]

Nicole: Sami is so wrong. Highstyle is the perfect company for us to take over, cut up, and use to build from. And you know the best part about it? I'm gonna steal it right out from under Lucas' sneaky nose, just like he stole the Clear Visage account from us. [Scoffs] Too bad, sucker. You know, you'd think by now you would have learned. No one plays dirty better than Nicole Walker.

[Scoffs]

Lucas: You want a soda or something?

Sami: No, I'm fine, um, but thanks for asking. I'm glad that we can be civil with each other after everything we've been through.

Lucas: Mm-hmm. Just don't get the wrong idea.

Sami: About what?

Lucas: About this. I'm only doing this because of Will, and, honestly, because I feel a little sorry for you.

Sami: Excuse me? Why do you feel sorry for me exactly?

Lucas: Because you chose to get involved with my brother's stupid company -- that's why.

Sami: Well, I didn't exactly have a choice, Lucas. It's not like I could afford my rent without --

Lucas: Without what? Without me moving in? So you recruited Austin and Nicole -- got two for the price of one. That's good business, Sami.

Sami: Well, I would rather have had you.

Lucas: Yeah. Yeah, I'll bet.

Sami: And I didn't recruit Nicole, Austin did.

Lucas: Of course Austin did. He does whatever he wants, and you let him. I cannot believe he was stupid enough to let you back into his life.

Sami: I can't believe that I just got through saying that we could actually be civil with each other.

Lucas: I can't believe we were gonna fall in love for the rest of our lives and live happily ever after, but that was a farce because you wanted my brother the whole time, didn't you?

Sami: No, I didn't!

Lucas: Don't give me that. You wanted him to be Will's father. You almost convinced yourself of it, didn't you? And you wanted to marry him. You didn't care if your sister was married to him or the fact that he hated you. That didn't stop you. He feels sorry for you, Sami, ever since day one. He felt sorry for you back then. He feels sorry for you now. Get used to it..

Sami: Is that why you were with me?

Lucas: You're unbelievable. Why do you think I was with you?

Sami: I don't know, Lucas, because if you really loved me, I think you would have been able to forgive me.

Lucas: If you really loved me, you'd understand that I deserve better than you're able to give me! Damn it!

Sami: All right. I think I'm gonna leave now.

Lucas: Why don't you leave? I don't care.

Sami: Damn it, Lucas! I miss you!

Lucas: You miss me? You made your choice. Now you're stuck with Nicole instead.

Sami: She's a nightmare.

Lucas: Yeah, I know.

Sami: She's a freaking nightmare. You were right about her all along. I can't stand her, and she is driving Austin's company into the ground. She has this harebrain scheme about trying to take over some company called Highstyle, and I'm telling you it's gonna ruin Austin's company. I mean, it could really -- oh, my God. I wasn't supposed to say anything yet. Me and my big mouth. Please promise me -- you can't tell Austin and Nicole that I said anything!

Lucas: I'm not gonna say anything, all right?

Sami: You promise?

Lucas: Yeah, I promise. But you're right. You're right if you're worried that Austin's gonna take Nicole's advice.

Sami: I am?

Lucas: Takeovers can be very risky, and you should try to talk Austin out of listening to Nicole as much as you can.

Sami: You really think so?

Lucas: Oh, yeah. Absolutely.

Sami: I knew it. I knew it was a bad idea.

Lucas: Of course it was. It came from Nicole. What are you gonna do about that? Now, look, I have a lot of work to do tonight, so if you'll excuse me. I have a presentation to prepare for Victor. I got to put it on his desk first thing in the morning.

Sami: Yeah, well, thank you for listening and for not saying anything to Austin and Nicole.

Lucas: Yeah, no problem. I guess I'm good like that, right? See you tomorrow.

Sami: What's tomorrow?

Lucas: Will's parent/teacher conference -- that's what's tomorrow.

Sami: Right. See you tomorrow.

Lucas: Yeah. See ya.

Sami: Well, mission accomplished. Now Lucas is gonna go after that company, and Nicole is gonna look like a fool. And then Austin will fire Nicole. I will have saved him from her, and I'll be right where I want to be. it.

Lexie: Kate! Belle and Philip are deeply in love. You'd know that better than anyone. They have each other. Their marriage is strong. You know, Philip has been such a wonderful support to Belle during her postpartum depression, just as she has been for him over the loss of his leg. No matter what happens, Kate -- no matter what is wrong with this baby -- they'll get through this, also, together.

Kate: I pray they do. And I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure they do.

Lexie: They will. But the person we need to focus on right now is Claire..

Kate: Yes. You're right. Um, do you have any idea about those test results -- when we're going to get them?

Lexie: I've spoken to the lab, and they'll have them as soon as they can.. The tests they are running are very complicated, very time-consuming, so the last thing we want is to rush and possibly misdiagnose or overlook something.

Kate: Yes, of course.

Lexie: Are you all right? You don't look too well.

Kate: Oh, no. You know, I'm just tired.

Lexie: So, why don't you go home, get some rest? I'm sure Philip will call as soon as the tests come in.

Kate: No, no, because I want to be here. I want to be here when they do. Philip might need me.

Lexie: Are you sure, Kate? Belle will be here.

Kate: Lexie, yes, I am sure. I want to be here. I want to be here for all of them -- for Claire and for Belle and for Philip.

Lexie: All right. Well, I'll go see if I can get E.T.A. on those test results.

Kate: Okay. Look, thanks. Thanks for everything.

Lexie: Oh, honey, of course.

Kate: Oh, God. Hey. How's the leg? Any better?

Philip: It's okay.

Kate: Ah, she's awake.

Philip: Yeah. She woke up a few minutes ago. You know, I think she has my eyes, or am I just seeing what I want to see?

Kate: Oh, absolutely. She does.

Philip: Yeah? Mom, does she look like I looked when I was a little baby?

Kate: Uh, yeah. The spitting image. [Sniffles]

Philip: Really? You're not just telling me what I want to hear?

Kate: No, I am not. When I look at her, I see you, and I see how much you love her.

Philip: I wish she looked like her mom. Belle is beautiful.

Kate: Yeah, she is beautiful. But that's your daughter. There's no doubt about that.

Philip: I hope not. [Sniffles]

Kate: [Sniffles]

Philip: Being a father's changed me, mom, a lot. It's not that I didn't think it would, but I didn't think I'd feel this strongly. Without that little girl, I don't think I'd want to live. God knows I was happy when it was just Belle and me, but I have a family now. I have everything that I have ever dreamed of.

Kate: Nothing's ever gonna change that.

Philip: From your lips to God's ears.

Kate: Look, honey, um, I'll stay with Claire. Why don't you go down and get something to eat with Belle? You can send Mimi and Shawn home.

Philip: Thank you, mom, but I'm gonna stay right here. And I think Belle will be fine. The way I'm feeling right now, I'm sure Shawn and Mimi could take better care of her than I could.

Hope: Jen!

Jennifer: He's coming home! He told me he was coming home!

Frankie: We all know that Jack wanted to spend as much time with his family as he could, but his illness was getting worse. He was in a lot of pain.

Jennifer: But you know if his car went off that bridge that he would do everything to save his life -- everything! You know when Jack is determined to do something, he does it, Frankie!

Abby: My dad knew how to save himself, and we would have done it, no matter what it took.

Jennifer: He would not leave us, not until he had to. He told me he was coming home! [Crying] And he's coming home.

Frankie: Come here. Come here. It's gonna be all right.

Hope: Poor Jennifer. She so much wants to believe, Bo, that she can't accept what's right in front of her.

Bo: That Jack's gone.

Hope: I don't blame her. Look how many times she was told he was gone and he wasn’t. Do you really think there's no chance?

Bo: We won't know anything for sure till they bring up Jack's car.

Hope: She and Abby weren't ready for this. They thought they had more time to say goodbye. My God, Bo, this is so horrible. Oh, my God, this could have happened to you, to me, to any of us.

Bo: That's true.

Hope: We are so lucky to have each other, to have our kids. That is something I'm never gonna take for granted -- not ever.

Bo: Neither will I.

Hope: Something like this really puts things in perspective, doesn't it?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: All the problems we thought we had -- the arguments -- the stupid arguments over Billie and Chelsea and Patrick -- I mean, it just all seems so damn insignificant right now.

Hope: Before Jack got sick, I'm sure there were a million times he promised Jennifer the same thing.

Bo: All right. Let's do it.

Jennifer: Can you please hurry? I need to get my husband out of the car so we can get him to the hospital -- please!

Bo: I wish Jennifer wasn't here. It's gonna be a hell of a shock for her when she sees Jack's body. (Building up) Whoooooaaa...

Lucas: I know. I can't believe it either, Victor. Sami just can't seem to keep her big mouth shut. No, I know that Nicole and Austin are gonna try to work on this first thing in the morning, so we got to set something up for tonight. Well, with the offer I'm presenting, I think the C.E.O. has to agree to a late meeting, right? When our friends down the hall wake up, Highstyle will belong to Titan. I just got to get the first commercial flight out. Uh, no, no. Sir, I-I would love the corporate jet. That's more than acceptable. Thank you very much. I appreciate it. I'll, um, I'll call you when the deal's done. Okay.

Nicole: Voilà. The proposal is finished and ready to go.

Sami: Well, Nicole, you seem mighty pleased with yourself.

Nicole: I am. This takeover plan is a thing of genius, if I do say so myself. I'd let you check it out, but then what's the point? You probably wouldn't understand it.

Sami: I understand plenty -- like I understand that you are making a huge mistake.

Nicole: Uh, no. Austin deciding to hire you and move in here was a big mistake. And soon our office and Austin will be moving into Brandon's loft. Isn't that ironic? Your first ex-husband will be living in your second ex-husband's loft. Or was Brandon your third? It's so hard to keep them straight. Anyway, you know, you would think that your landlord would give you some kind of "former victims of Sami Brady" discount.

Sami: Okay, you know what, Nicole? You can go to hell, because I know that your takeover scheme is going to fail miserably, and you're gonna go down with it. Austin is gonna wise up and realize that you don't have a clue what you're doing, and then you're gonna wind up in the cold on your ass.

Nicole: Dream on, Sami. Why don't you just face it? I win, you lose. You're a big loser.

Sami: No. Nicole, you are the loser.

Nicole: Oh, good comeback.

Sami: [Scoffs] Nicole, I hate to do this, but I have to tell you that your takeover scheme is going to go down. I guarantee it.

Nicole: Sami... what the hell did you do this time?

Sami: I haven't done anything, Nicole.

Nicole: Then how can you say you guarantee that this takeover plan will fail? How can you possibly say you guarantee that?

Sami: I wasn't speaking literally. I just think that it's a crazy and irresponsible plan, and I think if Austin listens to all of your bad advice, he's gonna bury his company before it even gets off the ground.

Nicole: You know what amazes me?

Sami: No. What?

Nicole: That you pretend to know what you're talking about. You are so far out of your league, Sami. You don't know anything about business, and you never will.

Sami: I know an unnecessary risk when I see one, Nicole. I've tried to tell you and Austin both that you are making a huge mistake taking out those loans. But did you listen to me? No. And now you're going out on a limb to try to impress Austin, and it's gonna backfire on you -- again.

Nicole: Unnecessary risk? How can you say that? We have to make a move -- a big move -- and the worst thing we could possibly do is nothing, unless you'd rather just sit around here and wait for the loans to come due with nothing to pay them off with. Sami, if you want to make it in business, you have to be willing to take chances, you have to be proactive and strike when the iron is hot, and you have to trust your gut instinct. And my gut is telling me that taking over and tearing apart this company is going to be the foundation we build our success on.

Sami: Now you sound like one of those cheesy "how to succeed in business" videos.

Nicole: [Sighs] Oh! Maybe I haven't made myself clear. I don't care what you think! I know I'm right!

Sami: You know what, Nicole? I hope you're right for Austin's sake, because I care about this company just as much, if not more, than you do. But you know what? When it fails, Austin is going to realize what a huge mistake he made hiring you. And then you're gonna be out of a job, out of his life, and back in the gutter, where Victor tossed you.

Nicole: You are so wrong. This plan is perfect. It absolutely cannot miss.

Lucas: [Clears throat] Let's see. Oh, my god. It's you.

Kate: Philip, listen to me. You need to be there for your wife, as well as your child. Belle needs you now more than ever.

Philip: I know that, and I will be there for her. But she needed a break, and Shawn and Mimi can take care of her.

Kate: I understand that, but Shawn isn't her husband.

Philip: Enough about Shawn. I know he is not your favorite person, but we asked he and Mimi to be Claire's Godparents because we can depend on them. They care about that little girl like she's their own, all right? We were so happy, mom -- Belle and me. Why is this happening? It's not fair after everything we went through. We worked through everything with Shawn. And now Claire's sick, and I feel like I'm gonna lose it all.

Kate: No, that is not going to happen. Honey, I'm not gonna let anything hurt you. My childrens' happiness is the most important thing in the world to me, and I would do anything -- anything -- to ensure that happiness.

Philip: You say that, but you're not God. You can't change the past. And you can't guarantee me that Claire's gonna be all right, can you?

Kate: [Thinking] Philip, I'm praying nothing happens to destroy your happiness with Belle. But whatever I have to do, you are never going to know that baby isn't yours.

Jennifer: Bo! Bo, open the door! Get him out! Hurry up! Get him out! Bo! Hurry! Where is he? Where is he?! Where's my husband?! Jack! Where is he?!

Hope: Jen! Jen! Jen!

Jennifer: [Crying] Where is he?! Where is my husband?! Where is he?!
