Bo: Our daughter sent you a message on your PDA after all these years, and she does this right when we start looking for her?
Hope: It could be a trap. The DiMeras are known for --
Billie: The DiMeras are dead, Hope.
Bo: Georgia was adopted. We don't know where she is. How does she know where you are, or that you're her mother?
Billie: I had this checked out before I came over. And from what we could find out, this is completely legit.
Bo: All right, Billie, what do you want to do?
Billie: Our daughter has contacted us. We need to find her.
Hope: Whoa, wait a minute. After your last adventure, you're not going anywhere.
Mimi: Hi. Come in. I'm Mimi Lockhart, Belle's best friend.
Woman: Nice to meet you, Mimi. I'm Summer Newell.
Mimi: I know. Thank you for meeting me here. Sorry the bride-to-be couldn't be here today. Her dad's very sick. It's a long story.
Summer: That's okay, honey. I have planned dozens of weddings for people I haven't even met, and they've all gone off without a hitch. So, what's your role in this wedding?
Mimi: I'm the Maid of Honor.
Summer: Ooh, Maid of Honor. Wow, that's terrific. Aw... always the Bridesmaid, never the Bride. I bet you were the frumpy best friend in high school, too. But you know what? That's okay. So was I. I found Mr. Right. Six times. Oh. I think I'm going for my seventh.
Rex: Hello.
Summer: Hello. Please tell me you're not the priest.
Summer: No, I'm not. I'm actually the frumpy one's fiancé.
Summer: Oh, how sly.
Kate: What do you mean you can't marry Belle?
Philip: What I mean is that my orders have changed, and my Special Forces Unit is being called up immediately.
Kate: Your Commander knew you were getting married, right?
Philip: Yeah, he knew.
Kate: Well, since you've set the date, maybe --
Philip: Maybe what, mom? This is the U.S. Marine Corps. I can't just have my mom write me a note to get out of active duty. It doesn't work that way.
Kate: I know that. I just think you need to try. Philip, call your Commander and talk to him.
Philip: That's not gonna do any good. But, you know what? You're right, mom. I have to try. I have to try at least for Belle's sake. I'm gonna call him right now.
Eugenia: Hello, hello, hello. Oh. What's wrong?
Kate: Philip just got his orders, and his entire unit is being shipped out. Which means Sami and Lucas are going to be married first.
Eugenia: I wouldn't count on it.
John: [Shivering] I can't take this pain much longer, Lexie.
Lexie: John, you need to give your body time to heal.
John: All you're giving me is aspirin. It's a joke. It's not doing a damn thing.
Lexie: Belle, could I have some time alone with your father, please?
Belle: Yeah, sure.
Lexie: John, I sympathize with you, okay? Believe me, I do. But you have to understand why I can't give you anything stronger. You've already had a very bad reaction to every pain medication we tried at the hospital, and I --
[Pager beeps]
Lexie: Ugh. I'm sorry. I need to return this call. I'll be right back.
Sami: John? Anybody home? Huh. God, I can't believe I'm doing this. Well, I have to. It's the only way I can get married to Lucas before the end of the year.
Sami: The one time you actually need a favor from John Black, and you do something so incredibly stupid.
Belle: Stupid? No, Sami, what you did is unforgivable.
Brady: Uh, pardon me. Sorry. Excuse me. Father Antonio, did you happen to see --
Antonio: Who?
Brady: Never mind. It must be in my imagina-- excuse me. Chloe?
Hope: I mean it, Billie. Bo is not going anywhere, not for a while. His wound is infected, and he's running a fever.
Billie: What? I told you this was gonna happen.
Bo: It's my fault, Hope, not Billie’s.
Hope: I didn't say it was.
Billie: Look, Hope, I apologize for intruding. But I just thought that Bo should see this.
Bo: Billie, I'm sorry. It looks to me like someone's playing games with you.
Billie: No, they're not. This is from our daughter, and I have proof.
Kate: What do you mean Sami and Lucas aren't getting married?
Eugenia: You are going to love me for this. I happened to be at the Brady Pub, and I overheard Sami telling Lucas that she just had to get those annulment papers filed. Well, I just happened to have gotten myself a job at the county clerk's office.
Kate: Oh, my God! And she walked in and there you were? You stopped her!
Eugenia: I sure did.
Kate: Oh, my God. Eugenia, you are fabulous.
Eugenia: It was my pleasure. So, the only way that Sami can get those annulment papers filed immediately is if she knows someone with influence who can call in a favor for her. And with me in that office, those papers might just get lost, if you catch my drift.
Kate: And of course there's no one who's going to be helping Sami, right? Except maybe for John Black.
Belle: I cannot believe that you sent my dad this card, especially with everything that he is going through. It was a hateful thing to do.
Sami: Look, I'm sorry, okay? I really regret it --
Belle: Yeah, it's a little late for that. My dad invited you here for Christmas. You came, you did your best to ruin everyone's day, and then this card? Why do you hate us so much?
Sami: Belle, I don't hate you. And I'm sorry if I ruined your Christmas. This is supposed to be the happiest time of our lives, and we're both getting married -- Belle, it's not that I'm not happy for you --
Belle: Really?
Sami: I really don't think that you love Philip.
Belle: Sami, no offense, but I don't think you're the best person to be giving anyone advice on love.
Sami: Well, you're probably right, but I happen to be marrying a man that I really love. I'm doing things right this time. How many times did I hear you say that you wanted Shawn back, that you didn't care how much he hurt you, you'd do anything? You couldn't live without him. Look, I'm telling you, I'm happy that that jerk is out of your life, but I think that you are rushing things a little bit with Philip. And I'm sure I'm not the only one who thinks so.
Belle: Look who's talking. I think you've rushed into a couple weddings yourself.
Sami: I have -- many. And that's why I'm trying to save you from making the same mistakes I did.
Belle: Right. This is about you, Sami. I know, because it always is. You're upset because I'm getting married first.
Sami: Well, when we were kids, we talked about how I'd get married first. In fact, I think you promised.
Belle: That was your rule, Sami, not mine. I only played along because you threatened to pull my Barbie doll's head off.
Sami: I was kidding! You really think that I was that horrible a sister?
Belle: Of course not. We had fun as kids. But, Sami, how am I breaking your rule? You did get married first. In fact, you're still married to Brandon.
Sami: Well, that's just a technicality, okay? In fact, that's why I'm here. The only way I can get those stupid annulment papers through is to find someone with some clout who can make it happen.
Belle: And that person's dad?
Sami: Yeah. Why do you think I'm here to bury the hatchet?
Belle: Because as usual, Sami, you need something. You are shameless. What about what he needs? If you use my father and then hurt him again, I will never forgive you.
Lexie: Okay, listen, we need to call in a neurology consult.
John: [Panting]
[Breathing steadies]
Lexie: Sorry about that. I'm on call today. I've got a patient in I.C.U.
John: That's probably where I should be.
Lexie: John, John, breathe. Come on. Deep breaths. Come on. Breathe through the pain. I'm so sorry. I wish I could do something more. But we can't go on giving you drugs indefinitely, John, especially given what little benefit you've had. I'm afraid it would make you sicker. Or worse, you could become an addict.
John: I would never. I've got more control than that.
Lexie: That's what every addict says.
Rex: So, I hear you're the best wedding planner in Salem.
Summer: Thank you.
Rex: I have to say, you have it wrong. Mimi is anything but a frump.
Summer: Oh, I'm sorry, honey. I didn't realize she had a hunk like you. So, you two are engaged. Picked a date yet?
Rex: No, actually, we haven’t. We wanted to let Belle get through hers first.
Summer: Ah, of course. That's why we're here. It's only weeks away, and there's so much to do. We have tons to decide. Um, the linens, the flowers, the keepsakes, the vows. Oh, so much to do. Oh, oh, oh! I left my main sample book in the car. I'll be right back. You are one... lucky... girl.
Rex: Sensitivity just oozes out of her, doesn't it?
Rex: What?
Mimi: Are you serious? Are you really my fiancé? Does this mean we're getting married?
Rex: Oh, I'm sorry. Did I not ask? How silly of me. Miriam Lockhart, will you marry me?
Mimi: Yes!
Brady: Nancy? For a minute there, I -- I thought I saw...
Nancy: Chloe?
Brady: Yeah.
Nancy: I passed a girl earlier that reminded me of her very much, too.
Brady: I admit, I've been feeling Chloe’s presence here tonight. So I guess when I saw that girl, I thought I was having a Christmas miracle.
Nancy: It's understandable. Miracles do happen at Christmas.
Brady: Yeah, well, not for me. Chloe's gone. She's not coming back.
Nancy: Oh, honey. I know what those tears are all about. It's seeing Brady on Christmas Eve, isn't it?
Chloe: It was so hard.
Nancy: Then why are you hiding?
Brady: I admit, I've been feeling Chloe’s presence here tonight. So I guess when I saw that girl, I -- I thought I was having a Christmas miracle.
Nancy: It's understandable. Miracles do happen at Christmas.
Brady: Yeah, well, not for me. Chloe's gone. She's never coming back.
Nancy: I saw you watching and listening. Didn't you hear it in his voice? He loves you. Oh, honey, and he misses you so much. Isn't that enough to let him know that you're here and that you miss him?
Chloe: I don't know how I'm gonna be near Salem and not see him.
Nancy: Oh, sweetheart, does that mean that you're ready to let him know you're alive? Run, sherry!
Billie: Rex told me that you and Roman received messages on your PDA’s last year from the Serial Stalker. He said that they traced one of those messages back to Tony DiMera’s PDA.
Bo: Right. But at the time, we couldn't prove anything.
Billie: Well, this message definitely didn't come from Tony’s computer. It came from an individual PDA.
Hope: That still doesn't mean that it belongs to Georgia.
Billie: But what if it does?
Bo: Bottom line is we can't prove the origin of this message, so it could have come from any one of DiMera’s people.
Hope: I'm sorry, Billie, but I have to agree with Bo. It could be a hoax.
Bo: Let's sit down.
Bo: Look, Billie, um, after we found that evidence at the DiMera castle, you got your hopes up. I mean, I did, too. We were one step closer to finding our daughter. But, I mean, we're dealing with a house of cards here. We've got nothing concrete.
Hope: Billie, just think about it. If Georgia could send you a message on her PDA, if she knew you were her mother --
Billie: Okay. I hear what you're saying, okay? But I got a message from my daughter. From our daughter, Bo. I'm not asking for your help. I just thought you might want to know what's going on.
Bo: Okay, I appreciate that, but before we move forward, we need more information, more proof. We can't go off on another wild goose chase.
Billie: Georgia's all I've got, Bo. And I'm gonna do whatever it takes to find her.
Sami: Forget about what's happening to John for a second. What about me? He owes me. My mother is gone. My father is gone. All I have left is Lucas and Will. And you took my wedding day away from me.
Belle: I did not.
Sami: You were supposed to be my Maid of Honor. And then without telling me, you plan your wedding on the same day as mine on purpose.
Belle: Okay. Philip and I wanted to get married before he shipped out, and that was the only date that worked for us. I thought it would be nice to have a double wedding with my sister, but what was I thinking? I knew you would hate that idea, because then it wouldn't be all about you.
Sami: Oh, look who's talking.
Belle: Oh, grow up, Sami. My wedding isn't for weeks. If you want to file your papers and get married before that, be my guest. I don't care if you have your wedding first.
Sami: That's all I want -- is to be married to Lucas before the end of the year, and that's why I need John's help.
Belle: The new year? Why? If I didn't know you loved Lucas so much, I would say you were desperate to marry him in order to get Brandon out of your head.
Sami: That is ridiculous.
Belle: Is it? Don't forget, Sami, I know you.
Sami: Brandon has left town. Lucas is the only man in my life.
John: What's going on down here?
Sami: John, hi. Are you feeling better?
John: No, I'm not. I can hear you yelling all the way upstairs, so what's the problem?
Sami: John, I'm sorry to bother you. I just came here to ask you for a small favor. I need you to make a phone call for me. It's important.
John: I'm sorry, Sami, but I'm really not up for anything like that right now.
Sami: Oh, well, John, it's just that I really want to get my annulment papers rushed through, and I thought maybe you could just make one phone call. I'm sure it would be quick.
Lexie: Sami, stop it. I don't want you upsetting John.
John: Lexie, it's all right. I'm just not in any position to help anybody right
now.
Sami: It's just a phone call.
John: I said no, Samantha.
Kate: Knock knock.
Belle: Philip, what are you doing here?
Philip: I would have called, but I needed to see you in person.
Belle: Why? What is it?
Philip: Belle, I'm sorry. We can't get married.
Summer: Here it is. Isn't that great! Now, I have a few questions for you, Mimi, about the bride.
Mimi: Sure.
Summer: Okay, now, it is my job as the wedding planner to know what the bride-to-be's story is. I would hate having to assume something, and end up insulting Belle and her family. So some of these questions might seem a little personal.
Mimi: Okay, I understand.
Summer: Now, can the bride-to-be wear white on her wedding day?
Mimi: What would keep her from wearing white?
Summer: Well, it's more of a comfort level for the bride. You see, if she's pure, great. If she's pregnant, and everybody in Salem knows it, well, maybe she should opt for a nice lavender, or a teal cocktail dress.
Mimi: Well, I can assure you, Belle is not pregnant.
Summer: All right, you understand why I have to ask. This is a rush wedding, and in many cases, many times that you're rushing, it's because the bride is pregnant.
Mimi: Oh, well, in this case, the groom, uh, is in the armed services, and he's being called off to duty, so...
Summer: Oh. Good. White it is, then. Okay, now, what about your vows? Do Belle and Philip have anything specific that they wanna say, or are they gonna stick to the same old textbook crap everybody else says?
Mimi: I don't know. I'll have to ask.
Summer: Well, okay, now, even if you two don't use me as your wedding planner, I want you all to start thinking about your vows. If you put enough time into them, they can mean all the difference in the world.
Rex: Well, I already know what I'm going to say.
Mimi: Really?
Summer: Would you like to share?
Rex: Yeah, it's simple. My vow is to promise to love and respect Mimi, and be truthful, and never tell a lie no matter what the circumstances.
Summer: Oh, honesty. Yes, that is the magic word. It means everything in the world in this day and age of secrets and lies. You'd be surprised how many people keep things from each other.
Rex: Oh, Mimi is the most honest and trustworthy woman in the world. She would never keep any kind of secret from me.
Nicole: Good morning.
Nicole: Good morning.
Brady: Good morning. I had really beautiful dreams last night.
Nicole: Let me guess -- they were about Chloe.
Brady: I didn't mean for you to think that.
Nicole: But it's true. And it's okay. I know how much you miss her, and how much you loved her, but she's never coming back.
Brady: I know that.
Nicole: I think it's time we laid her to rest once and for all.
Brady: Nicole, believe me, I've tried, but I can’t. I just have this feeling like Chloe is still here.
Nicole: Let me help you.
Nicole: Come on. Let's get dressed.
Brady: What?
Nicole: Yeah, I said let's get dressed. Let's go. Come on. Chop, chop.
Chloe: No, I don't want Brady to know that I'm alive.
Nancy: Then you're not thinking this through. Chloe, use your head before it's too late, or Brady will move on. Are you going to let Nicole take your man?
Bo: Billie, the last time, you were so determined to rush off to Europe without a plan, you basically forced me to go with you on your terms. Look how that turned out.
Billie: What do you mean, "look how it turned out"? We got some valuable information, didn't we?
Hope: You also almost got my husband killed. And if DiMera’s operatives didn't succeed the first time, maybe they're looking for a second. Don't put my husband in the line of fire.
Billie: I know that he's in no condition to travel. I'm not asking him for anything.
Hope: Then don't make him worry about you.
Billie: I'd say he's plenty worried about his daughter already.
Hope: Billie, listen, if I were you, I would call Spector at the I.S.A. and turn the case over to him. Give this to him. He can help you.
Billie: Sorry, Hope, but I can't do that. The sooner I get started, the sooner I can find my daughter.
Bo: Billie, come on, you're grasping at straw--
Hope: Oh, my God, Bo!
Billie: Bo!
Philip: My unit got called up to active duty much sooner than I expected.
Belle: Can't you talk to someone, tell them we're planning a wedding?
Philip: I did. That's not their problem.
Sami: [Thinking] Guess I don't have to worry about belle getting married before me after all.
John: I'm sorry, kids. Wish there was something I could do. But, you know, the fact is, when duty calls, Philip, everything else kinda gets put on the sideline.
Kate: What are you doing here?
Sami: Well, I came to ask John if he would help me get my marriage to Brandon annulled. But, of course, he hates me so --
Kate: So leave him alone. Because the last thing he needs right now is having to deal with you when he's trying to recover.
Sami: Now that you moved into my mom's penthouse, I could only imagine what kind of therapy a former hooker has in mind for her boss. It must just be breaking your heart to see that Belle and Philip can't get married. While Lucas and I, I was thinking a New Year's Eve wedding would be just perfect. And you'd better be prepared to open your checkbook because the reception is going to be spectacular.
Kate: Philip, why are you and Belle waiting?
Belle: There's not enough time.
Kate: Well, honey, John owns and I operate one of the largest multinational companies in America. There's really no reason to wait. I don't see why you can't have your wedding on New Year's Eve.
Philip: What do you think?
Belle: You really think we can do this?
Kate: Of course I do.
Belle: I love it.
Philip: So do I. All right, then.
Kate: Well, of course, it's gonna cost us a little bit more money.
John: Well, what the hell? It's worth it if it makes the kids happy.
Philip: All right, hold on, what about a marriage license, minister?
John: Don't worry about it. I'll make a couple phone calls, get it all taken care of.
Sami: Wait a second. You are not just gonna make that phone call. What about me? You still have to make the phone call for me first.
Rex: Baby. Sweetheart, what's wrong?
Summer: Aww! You touched her heart, honey. That's why she's crying. Aww, I hope things work out between you two. If so, call me. If not...
Rex: Now what's wrong?
Mimi: Just all that talk about weddings just got me emotional.
Rex: You didn't like my vows?
Mimi: No, they were beautiful. But it's just a fantasy. I can't believe that it'll really happen.
Rex: Why not? Mimi, just 'cause we don't have the kinda money to throw some gigantic wedding like Belle and Philip doesn't mean we can't get married in our own way. Mimi, if you want, we could take off to Vegas or Atlantic City, and we can get married right away. Mimi Lockhart, will you elope with me?
Mimi: I'm sorry, Rex. I can't marry you.
Brady: So, what is this again, Nicole?
Nicole: It's father Antonio’s giving tree program. He used to run it through the community center.
Brady: Oh. Well, what exactly are we gonna be doing?
Nicole: Well, it's a way for people to help the less fortunate by giving a charitable donation in memory of the loved ones that have died.
Brady: How do you know so much about it?
Nicole: They helped my mom out a couple years in a row when we were growing up.
Brady: So that's why you wanted to come here, 'cause you were thinking about Chloe?
Nicole: Yeah. You know what? I thought it would be a way for you to do something nice in Chloe’s memory. Now I know we had the memorial service for her, but it'll be more personal because you're helping a family in need.
Brady: Thank you, Nicole. It's a great idea.
Nicole: You're welcome. Hey, whatever donation you make, I'll double it.
Brady: Really? Thank you, that's very generous. I appreciate it.
Antonio: Brady, thank you so much for coming.
Brady: Father Antonio, you're very welcome.
Antonio: Nicole. Great to see you. Thank you.
Brady: So, uh, what's the deal?
Antonio: Well, what you'll do is go up to the giving tree. Take an ornament off and look at the card attached. There are different cards at different levels -- angel being the highest.
Brady: Oh, okay.
Antonio: Oh, by the way, will you, uh, can we put you on film for the news?
Nicole: Oh, yes, absolutely. Let me just fix myself here.
Antonio: Oh, Nicole, some things never change.
Nicole: Sorry.
Brady: That's perfect.
Antonio: Thank you so much for coming down, Nicole. What a nice surprise.
Nicole: It's so nice to see you, too, father Antonio. Wow, that is still hard to say. "Father." When we were growing up together as kids, I never thought you would be a priest.
Antonio: Would you like to know how much you've surprised me?
Nicole: I know I haven't exactly led a normal life.
Antonio: No, but things seem to have settled down. You're in love with that guy, aren't you?
Nicole: He's the man of my dreams.
Antonio: And it's clear. Brady's feelings for you are mutual. Maybe one day, I'll marry you here at Saint Luke’s.
Antonio: Do you, Brady, take Nicole to be your lawfully wedded wife?
Brady: I do.
Nicole: From your lips to God's ears.
Nancy: Chloe.
Chloe: Is that the priest from St. Luke's?
Woman on TV: Tell us about the giving tree, Father Antonio.
Antonio's: The idea is for members of the church and the community to give hope to a less fortunate person or family in memory of someone who's passed. Brady, Nicole. Please join me.
Nancy: Oh, my God.
Antonio: Brady Black is here at the urging of this beautiful lady, Nicole Kiriakis. He has made a wonderful gesture, and it's for someone very meaningful, right?
Woman: Brady, what was your gift?
Brady: Well, I'm donating a house and a year's supply of food to a family.
Nicole: And he's also providing new toys for all the kids.
Antonio: And this generosity is in memory of?
Brady: Well, I chose the angel because of my angel, uh, who passed away this year. Her name was Chloe Lane. And there's never gonna be another woman like her. I miss her very much. She was the love of my life, and my life's never gonna be the same.
Rex: I don't understand. Mimi, why won't you marry me?
Mimi: It's not that I won't marry you. We just can't elope right now. I mean, I'd love to, but we can't take away from Belle's wedding.
Rex: Okay, then let's elope after Belle and Philip get married.
Mimi: You're serious about this?
Rex: I've never been more serious.
Mimi: Okay, but before we do that, I want us to talk.
Rex: Okay, what about?
Mimi: I love you so much, Rex. But things haven't always been perfect... and I wanna start married life with, you know, a clean slate. There are things that you don't know about me --
Rex: Come here, come here. Whatever they are, Mimi, I love you. And nothing could ever change that.
John: Put the phone down.
Sami: No. You have to make this call for me first.
John: I don't have to do anything for you. Now I have tried and I have tried, and all you do is push me away, Samantha. And even if I wanted to help you, I have no way to speed up any annulment 'cause I don't have any connections in that area.
Sami: What about Belle and Philip’s marriage license?
John: Come on, that's different.
Sami: How?
John: I don't have any energy for this. I'm done. If you want some help, you just find your own way to get it.
Hope: You okay?
Bo: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm fine. I just got a little light-headed when I stood up there.
Billie: I'm sorry. It's my fault. I shouldn't have come. I'm gonna leave.
Bo: No, hey, promise me you won't rush off, you'll give me some time to check into this thing.
Hope: Bo's right, Billie. That makes the most sense. And please, please believe me when I say that I'm not trying to stop you from finding your daughter. But you need to think things through. Someone's playing with your emotions.
Bo: If you look at this thing objectively, you'll see something's not right. Someone wants us to go -- go running off after Georgia.
Hope: And lead you into a trap.
Billie: I'm sorry, but I have to try.
Hope: He's not going with you, Billie.
Billie: Okay, I get it. I'll be fine. I'm a trained I.S.A. Agent.
Bo: And you're gonna need backup.
Billie: I'll call the I.S.A. and I'll ask them for help. I'll keep you updated, okay?
Bo: Okay, bye.
Hope: Be careful.
Billie: Okay. It's better if you stay behind, Bo. Because that way, if anything happens to me, you'll still have one parent who loves you very much.
Nancy: Chloe, I think you were meant to see that. Honey, you need to go to Brady before it's too late.
Chloe: He thinks I'm an angel. I can’t. I can’t.
Nicole: How are you feeling, Brady?
Brady: Much better. I mean, not only did this help out a family, but it helped out me. It helped me say goodbye to Chloe. Thank you. Thank you, Nicole.
Patrick: You need backup, Billie, so I'm going with you.
Jennifer: Why would he go to all that trouble --
Hope: What have the DiMeras always wanted? To ruin our lives.
Alice: Who would you normally talk to about your feelings? Talk to Belle.
Mimi: If you still love him, then you are making the biggest mistake of your life if you marry Philip.
