[Timer ringing]
Nicole: Brady... Brady, what is it? What happened to Chloe?
Brady: They said that...
Nicole: Who was that on the phone?
Brady: It was a doctor at a clinic in Austria. Chloe was in an accident. She was, um... leaving the opera house in -- in Vienna, and... she was going to a music benefit in Salzburg. There was a thunderstorm outside.
Nicole: Oh, my God.
Brady: The limousine that she was in skidded out of control and crashed into a guardrail on a steep mountain pass. The driver's dead.
Nicole: And Chloe?
Brady: She's in pretty bad shape. She's, um, barely holding on. I have to get to her.
Philip: So we going to 21?
Rex: However high you want to go, man.
Philip: We going to keep playing dirty? This isn't rugby.
Rex: You want to talk about dirty, why don't you try keeping your hands off Belle? Moving in on your best friend's girl is about as low as it gets, man.
Philip: Aah! All right, is that how we're going to do it today?
Rex: Offensive foul. Your ball.
Philip: Okay. That's fine.
Mimi: Oh, God. The only thing worse than an actual doctor's appointment is waiting for a doctor's appointment.
Belle: You're going to be fine, Meems. Whatever it is, I'm sure it's not that big a deal.
Mimi: Dr. Carver.
Lexie: Hi, Mimi, Belle. Sorry you had to wait. I got tied up in surgery.
Mimi: I know. That's okay.
Lexie: Okay. Uh... the bleeding and discomfort -- is that still going on?
Mimi: No, not anymore, but it was really awful when it was. Do you think it's serious?
Lexie: We won't know that until I examine you, Mimi.
Mimi: Right. Um, would it be okay if Belle stayed? Because that would just be a huge help.
Lexie: Yeah, sure, of course. I understand. Yeah, she can stay. Uh, why don't you follow the nurse and get changed, okay?
Belle: She's going to be fine, won't she? I mean, it could be a lot of things, and all of them aren't really that big a deal, right?
Lexie: Well, uh, we'll just have to wait and see.
Celeste: Nurse, excuse me.
Woman: Yes.
Celeste: I need to see Dr. Carver.
Woman: She's in with a patient. It could be a while.
Celeste: [Gasps]
Celeste: Abraham.
Abe: The ravine.
Hope: They shouldn't be much farther.
Abe: You said that's where you saw them last.
Hope: Yeah, they were trapped on a ledge. Jennifer may have had the baby by now.
Abe: No, no, no, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Hope: We have to keep going. There's no time to stop. Let's go.
Abe: Hope, we have to be careful, because we're not good to anybody dead.
Hope: You're right. Oh, God, I just pray that Bo got the signal on the police radio frequency.
Abe: Yeah, well, if that transmitter that Roman and I built is still working.
Hope: I know. I know it's a long shot, but it's the only thing giving me hope. If Bo got that signal, he won't rest till he finds us.
[Signal beeping]
Tek: You got it back. Nice work.
Bo: Yeah.
Tek: You find out what it means?
Bo: It's a secret code Roman and I worked up when we were kids. So far we've got "Marlena is alive, Roman is alive."
Tek: That's it?
Bo: Yeah. The rest of this -- it's unintelligible.
John: It can't be true.
Tek: Even though Marlena's body was missing from the casket when they dug it up, despite what Sami would have us believe, I mean, she was mortally wounded. She couldn't have been buried alive.
John: That's a fact. And Roman?
Tek: We all saw Roman's body after he was murdered. I mean, I assisted the forensics exam on his body. There's no way.
Bo: He's out there. I know it. No one else could have sent this message.
Tek: Bo, you have to look at the facts, man.
Bo: Look at -- listen, I'm going to find out the source of this signal. Then we'll know exactly who's alive and who's not.
[Signal beeping]
Doug: Thank God you're still working, little buddy. You are our only hope of being rescued. The thought of being rescued, I think, deserves a little iced tea.
Nicole: Brady, what are you doing?
Brady: I have to call the Titan jet, and, uh, you know, make sure that they're ready to go to Austria, because I have to be with Chloe as soon as possible.
Nicole: Brady, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Brady: Nicole, when Chloe had leukemia and everything looked hopeless, she overcame all the odds and she survived, because she's a fighter. She had a will to live. She's not gonna give up. And I need to be there for her, like I was before. Don't be afraid, okay?
Chloe: I could die.
Brady: I know.
Chloe: I thought you were so sure that I was gonna beat this.
Brady: No, I am, I am. But... nobody can beat everything forever. Sooner or later, we all go.
Chloe: But where? I mean, what will it be like?
Brady: I'm not sure.
Nicole: Brady. What if you get there, and it's too late?
Brady: It's not gonna be too late. I'm not gonna lose her, Nicole. I'm not gonna lose her. Excuse me. Hi. Captain Nicholson, yeah. This is Brady Black. Mm-hmm, yeah. I was just wondering if we could push our departure up half an hour. I need to get to Austria sooner than I thought. What do you mean we can't go?
Abe: Don't let Lexie break our marriage vows.
Celeste: But, Abraham, you're dead. Aren't you?
Abe: Damn it. I just pray that we're rescued before our loved ones in Salem move on with their lives. I would just hate to get --
Hope: Abe, don't -- don't go down that road.
Abe: Lexie's young and she's beautiful and... why wouldn't she want to move on, find another man? What man wouldn't want her?
Hope: Try not to think that way.
Abe: That could be part of the reason why we're being held prisoner here. Our captor, Stefano, whoever the hell... he's trying to break up all the happy couples in Salem. You saw it -- Roman and Marlena getting closer. What if we're playing right into the hands of the maniac that has us trapped here?
Hope: Roman and Marlena once shared a great love, Abe. Getting closer is -- is natural under these circumstances.
Abe: Maybe so. But how would you feel if Bo thought you were gone and...
Hope: And what? What would I do if Bo moved on with another woman, is that what you're asking me?
[Signal beeping]
Bo: You're alive, Fancy Face. I know it. I can feel it. Roman and Marlena are with you. You're all out there somewhere.
Tek: Okay, all we have to do is let the I.S.A. supercomp do its job... let it pinpoint the origin of the coded message.
John: Are you on-line?
Tek: Yeah, we're in.
John: Okay.
Tek: Now we wait.
[Signal beeping]
Doug: Come on, come on. Keep it up, keep it going. [Doorbell rings]
Doug: Well, who on earth --
Doug: That was strange. Wait! Uh... [Elevator ringing]
Doug: It must be stuck. I'm coming, I'm coming! I'll come help you out! [Signal beeping]
Rex: What's the score?
Philip: Shawn is a loser. Maybe that's why you're defending him, 'cause you can identify. Is that it?
Rex: Come on.
Philip: That looks like game point, Rexy. Your ball.
Rex: You take it. Winner's ball.
Philip: No, no, no, I insist. Your ball. Go ahead.
Rex: You know what I think? You're nothing but a rich, spoiled punk. And you're right, I do identify with the Brady's. You know why? Because they work hard. They haven't been given a free ride, and -- that's right -- they always get the girl in the end, even if all they have to give is a wool ring.
Philip: Is that right?
Rex: Yeah. That's why, in the end, it's a lock -- Shawn ends up with Belle, and all is good again.
Philip: Shoot it.
Rex: Good. Tie game.
Belle: Mimi.
Mimi: Hmm?
Belle: I think you should tell Rex about this. Don't you think that the man you love deserves to know what's going on?
Mimi: I can't. He won't be able to take it.
Belle: That's ridiculous.
Mimi: Look, just, I have my reasons, okay? I can't -- I can't tell him. Not yet. And Rex is still really upset about Cassie. It's -- I can't make things complicated. I know it sounds crazy. I just -- I need you to respect that.
Belle: All right.
Mimi: Promise me you won't say anything.
Belle: Fine.
Mimi: Say it.
Belle: I promise.
Mimi: Good. Let's go.
[Knock on door]
Lexie: Yes?
Man: Delivery.
Lexie: Oh. Wow. Ah, they must be for a patient.
Man: They're for Dr. Alexandra Carver.
Lexie: For me?
Man: You're Dr. Carver, aren't you?
Lexie: Yes. Yes, I am. Um...here you go.
Man: Oh. Much thanks.
Lexie: You're welcome.
Lexie: "Are you free tonight? Guess who." I know who it is. [Telephone rings]
Tek: This is Tek.
Lexie: They're beautiful.
Tek: They came.
Lexie: Mm-hmm. I'm looking at them as we speak.
Tek: That was quick.
Lexie: And I think I just might be free tonight.
Tek: Well, how does dinner and a movie sound?
Lexie: After the morning I've had, perfect.
Tek: Why? What happened?
Lexie: I have a patient. She just left. A lovely young woman who could have a very serious condition. It's just scary how your life can turn upside down just like that. Like Abe and me.
Tek: Right. Yeah.
Lexie: I'm sorry. I don't mean to get all heavy on you.
Tek: No, no. I'm a cop. I mean, you know... life can throw you a lot of curves. I know how it is. But tonight it's gonna be strictly popcorn. Maybe some ribs from lady Vi's.
Lexie: Ooh, heaven.
Tek: So it's a date?
Lexie: It's a date.
Tek: All right. 8:00?
Lexie: I'll see you then.
Celeste: You have to cancel.
Lexie: Mom, you scared me.
Celeste: Abraham would not approve of you going on a date with Tek, Alexandra.
Bo: Tek, get in here.
John: It's working. Soon we will know the location of your signal.
Hope: It wouldn't happen. Bo wouldn't move on, 'cause he hasn't accepted that I'm dead. He's out there searching for me. He knows that I'm still alive. He never found my dead body.
Abe: But all the other so-called murder victims appear to be really dead. And they were buried. And their spouses had to come to terms with their grief and their loss. They had to carry on with their lives.
Hope: I'm sorry. You're so worried about Lexie.
Abe: Tell me... when you were with her the last few months, did she seem ready to start over again with another man?
Lexie: Mom, I don't want to hear this, okay? Whatever vibe or vision you're having... [Sighs]
Celeste: Those flowers -- they're from Tek, aren't they?
Lexie: Can we not do this now?
Celeste: Your relationship must be getting serious. Alexandra, you must stop this before it's too late.
Lexie: Mom, I am going to dinner and a movie. Yes, it's with a man, but you're making it out to be so much more than it is. I'm not getting engaged. I'm not getting remarried. But I do need to move on with my life, don't you think? Abe's gone. He's not coming back.
Celeste: Oh, but, darling, you are wrong.
Lexie: Okay, stop it!
Celeste: Alexandra, listen to me now. Abraham is alive, darling.
Bo: All right. Here's the satellite photo.
John: Well, it's pretty rough.
Tek: You know, first time through the computer won't produce a specific location, just a general global geographic quadrant.
John: Yeah, from this perspective here it's kind of hard to tell. If I had to make an educated guess, I'd say the signaling device is being transmitted from... the Caribbean.
Bo: There you go. That's where Roman and Marlena are. [Signal beeping]
Tony: Roman, Marlena... will your loved ones rescue you in time? Hmm. Ha ha ha. Oh, please don't hold your breath.
Philip: It's interesting, Rex.
Rex: Yeah, that you'd rather run your mouth than play ball.
Philip: No, it's this new sense of family loyalty you have. It's interesting, really. Funny how it only applies to one side of the family, though. But that's all right, you know. I guess being Roman Brady's son has really brought out your righteous side. Is that what it is? You know, I remember it wasn't too long ago that you and Cassie were DiMera's. And it was back then that you had problems taking handouts from Tony DiMera. [Grunts] It's a foul.
Rex: Foul?
Philip: Yeah, you heard me. Aah!
Rex: Quicker hands. You got to be quicker.
Philip: You son of a bitch, come on.
Mimi: What -- you guys, stop! Hey, wait!
Rex: Next time you hit me, you're gonna end up in the hospital!
Philip: Let's do it, then, right --
Belle: Hey, hey. What are you, animals? Why are you fighting?
Philip: It was nothing.
Rex: Yeah, we were just playing around, that's all.
Mimi: Playing?
Belle: Do we look dumb?
Mimi: Oh, my God. He's bleeding.
Brady: Listen, captain, this is an emergency, okay? Chloe's been hurt. I need to get to Austria right -- all right, you know what? Fine. I will. Damn it!
Nicole: What did he say?
Brady: Due to a heightened international terrorism alert, all private jets have to register their flight plans with the FAA at least 48 hours in advance!
Nicole: Oh, no. Well, what if Chloe doesn't have that long?
Brady: Well, you know what? I can -- I can book a commercial flight. I can rent a car. I can do anything.
[Doorbell rings]
Nancy: [Crying]
Brady: No. I heard. I heard already. Mrs. Wesley, you got to listen to me. Chloe is going to make it through this, okay? She's going to pull through.
Nancy: Brady, she's gone. My baby's gone. Chloe's dead. [Sobbing]
Brady: You're sure about this?
Nancy: I had to come here in person.
Brady: Oh, my God, no.
Nancy: I didn't want to do it over the phone. I was visiting my Mother at the nursing home, and then... I thought I'd come by Salem for a visit. Craig called with the news. He said that the doctors -- the doctors in Austria did everything that they could. Craig even had a specialist flown in from Vienna, but it was -- it was too late. She's gone. She was so beautiful and so talented. She had everything to live for.
Nicole: I'll leave you two alone. I'm sorry for your loss.
Nancy: I don't know what to do. I should go.
Brady: Where are you gonna go? Where are you going?
Nancy: I'm gonna fly back to New York, and then on to Austria. But my plane doesn't leave for a few hours, so I thought I would come by here. I know how much you loved her, Brady. And, sweetheart, she loved you, too, with every breath that she took -- right up till the end.
Rex: Mimi, what's going on with you?
Mimi: Just... um... seeing you and Philip fight just drives me crazy.
Rex: Come on.
Mimi: What?
Rex: That's not it.
Mimi: You don't believe me?
Rex: Shh. No, that's not it. Look, you've just been acting so secretively lately, you know? You take off in the middle of the night to go see your mom. You won't tell me what you guys talked about. I think I know what's going on. But you've got to promise to tell me the truth. Are you seeing someone else?
Philip: I told him I was in love with you. Rexy didn't like that. He took Shawn's side, and then we went at it.
Belle: Philip --
Philip: I know what you're gonna say.
Belle: No, you don't. Listen to me. I've been doing some thinking about what happened between us, and I just think it's best if we don't rush into anything.
Philip: So you don't want to be with me.
Mimi's voice: Life's too short, Belle. Philip's a great guy. He says he loves you. I say go for it.
Belle: I don't know what I want, Philip. I do know that we went way too far back at the loft. It was a heat-of-the-moment thing, and it's good that we stopped. I just -- I need some time to think about where we go from here.
Philip: All right. That's cool. I understand completely. And I have a proposition for you.
Lexie: Mom, I can't take this. Abe is dead.
Celeste: Alexandra --
Lexie: No! No. My husband -- Abe -- the man I love more than my own life is dead, Mom. He's not coming back, and I have to accept that or I might as well be dead myself. So please, just no more false hope, okay? Really, I-I can't take it. I can't.
Celeste: Alexandra, darling, listen. There is nothing false about what I'm saying. Abraham is alive, darling. And he's not the only dearly departed that's still living.
[Signal beeping]
Tony: Boy scout science project.
Tony: Not very nice.
Bo: What the hell? The signal went out.
Tek: Are you sure?
Bo: Come on. Come on.
Tek: I don't hear anything.
John: This isn't gonna give us much to go on.
Bo: I'm working on it!
John: Not gonna be able to pinpoint the exact location of the signaling device from this.
Bo: I understand. I'm doing everything I can.
John: Shut it down, Bo. The signal's gone. It's over.
Tony: It's done. Now there's no need to worry. There is no way anyone back in Salem will be able to locate us. The plan proceeds.
Hope: This is it. This is the ledge where I left Patrick and Jennifer. Oh, my God.
Abe: What?
Hope: The ledge.
Abe: What? What? What?
Hope: This is the ledge that I left them on. It's gone. Jennifer!
Abe: There's no way they could have survived that fall.
Hope: Jennifer! Patrick!
Mimi: Rex, seeing someone else? How can you even say that?
Rex: What else am I supposed to think?
Mimi: Of course I'm not seeing someone else. I love you. I would never be unfaithful to you, ever.
Rex: I'm sorry. It's just with everything going on, I thought Shawn and Belle would be together forever. Look, they're done. I mean, if those two couldn't make it, then it's just like you said before -- everything else is less sure. Hey, I want to be with you forever.
Mimi: I want that, too.
Rex: All right, well, then let's grow old together. We'll have children and grandchildren.
Mimi: Yes.
Philip: Here's my proposal. I have another leave of absence coming up. I don't have to report back to the marine base for a week or so. Let's go away together. Someplace beautiful, relaxing -- just someplace we could be alone.
Belle: Philip, I don't know.
Philip: It's not what you're thinking, either. We can get separate rooms. It'll be completely platonic. We can go on long walks and just talk, hang out -- just to see. No commitments. I want to state my case to you. Let me take you away and tell you what a beautiful relationship I think we can have... what a beautiful future. What do you say?
Nancy: Those tabloid rumors, whatever they were saying --
Brady: Mrs. Wesley, you don't have to defend her.
Nancy: But I want to. Brady, she loved you.
Brady: I know that.
Nicole: It doesn't matter now, as long as she's dead.
Nancy: We have a lot in common, you know. I didn't have much time with Chloe, either. I don't think I'll ever forgive my Father for lying to me all those years, not telling me that Chloe was Craig's daughter. I didn't get to meet my daughter till she was practically grown.
Nancy: Oh, Chloe, I -- I don't want to ever spend another minute without you. I want you to come home to Salem with me. I'll come back tomorrow, I'll make all the arrangements and get you. This will work. I know it will.
Nancy: She may have been a troubled child, but... she blossomed beautifully.
Brady: She did.
Nancy: Brady, you respected her. That's why she was crazy about you. You let her follow her dreams. You encouraged her.
Brady: It's amazing to see it in print. Look at this. "Featuring a new star from the United States of America -- Miss Chloe Lane." What'd I tell you? This is your future. Do not turn your back on this.
Chloe: I don't want a future without you, Brady. I love you. I want to stay here.
Brady: Chloe, I love you, too. That's why I want you to do this -- so that you can have the life you always dreamed of.
Chloe: I love you, Brady Black.
Brady: I -- I can't say it.
Chloe: Neither can I.
Brady: So I'll see you soon, huh?
Chloe: Not soon enough.
Nancy: I have to go. My flight.
Brady: Hang on a second. Hang on. I'm going with you.
Nancy: No. You can't.
Brady: What do you mean, I can't go with you?
Nancy: Brady, the flight is totally booked.
Brady: But -- I'll fly standby. Mrs. Wesley, I don't care how long it takes. I need to be with Chloe.
Nancy: Brady, I know what she'd want. I'm her mother.
Brady: What, she -- she wouldn't want me to go?
Nancy: Please, just let Craig and me handle this. It's too much.
Brady: I need to go.
Nancy: Brady, Chloe would want you to remember her the way she was -- alive and beautiful.
Brady: It is going to kill me to stay here. Can't you see that?
Nancy: Sweetheart, then go to church. Light a candle for her.
Nancy: Just know that Chloe is -- she's now our guardian angel in heaven.
Belle: Go away with you, Philip? I don't know.
Philip: Well, I'm not trying to rush you into anything. It's just that, Belle, there are so many bad memories here in Salem. You need a break. I think you need to get away from all the bad things that have happened during the past few months.
Belle: Maybe you're right.
Philip: I am right.
Belle: Okay, let's go.
Philip: Yeah? All right. Oh.
Rex: Mimi.
Mimi: What?
Rex: I know why you've been so upset lately.
Mimi: You do?
Rex: Yeah, it's -- it's your brother. I'm sorry --
Mimi: It is. You're right. It's my brother. I'm -- I'm just a wreck because he's gone.
Abe: Patrick!
Hope: Jennifer!
Abe: Jennifer! Jennifer! Damn it. It's no use. There's no way they could have made it.
Hope: Jennifer. Jennifer. Jennifer. [Bird squawks]
Abe: Come on, Hope. Come on. Come on. Let's go. This way. Come on.
Doug: It's locked? I didn't lock that. I didn't even close the door. [Lock clicks]
Doug: Oh. Oh, no. Oh, my -- oh. Oh, no. Who did this? Oh.
Bo: Come on.
Tek: No, it's gone, Bo. The signal's lost.
John: And any hope of pinpointing its location is gone.
Bo: We're not giving up. We got to find out the origin of this signal.
John: That's impossible.
Bo: I don't care. This message is true. Marlena is alive. Roman is alive.
Celeste: And they're not the only ones.
Lexie: Go on, Mom. Tell them.
Celeste: A few weeks ago, I had very strong vibrations that Marlena was with all the dead of Salem, and now I'm getting even stronger vibrations. I'm telling you, Marlena is with them, and as God is my witness, every single one of them is still alive.
Patrick: Jennifer, this is the only chance your baby has.
Jennifer: Aah!
Jan: What do you think you're doing?
Lucas: You were on the phone to Brandon when I left. What the hell was that all about, huh?
Tek: Lexie's right. All the victims had to have been dead. This is some kind of sick, vicious hoax.
Bo: Roman and Marlena and the rest of them are alive.
