Bo: One -- I don't care how small it is, I just want to have one friggin' sign that Hope is still alive.
Tek: Well, you've been over this data with a fine-toothed comb.
Bo: You know, do me a favor. Turn the computer on. I want to see if that random signal is still playing there. [Morse signal beeping weakly]
Tek: Same as before. I still think it's caused by radio waves or sun spots.
Bo: Okay, okay, whatever, just leave it on. I wanna -- I wanna find out if that pattern changes or just keeps repeating.
Doug: I'm glad I was included in this... mysterious little soiree, I found my invitation too late. I'd like to have seen that TV feed. [Morse signal beeping]
Abe: Yeah, well, me too. I was out combing the island for batteries. But then when I got home and found my initiation, the party had already started. So I didn't see any of it, either. So anything interesting, Roman?
Roman: Well, it was a video-only transmission from the Penthouse Grill in the real Salem. It kept coming in and out all night. It went out just a few minutes ago, and we can't get it back.
Doug: Well, was Julie there?
Marlena: She was. She looked beautiful.
Doug: Of course. Where's Alice and Maggie?
Marlena: Maggie got upset seeing -- well, seeing her husband dancing with her housekeeper.
Doug: Bonnie Lockhart.
Marlena: And I assume she had some...inkling. Well... I guess that just isn't the same as seeing it right in front of your eyes. We all think that our loved ones will be waiting for us.
Doug: Hell, they think we're all dead. It's just that Bonnie Lockhart...
Abe: You know, it looks like somebody wants us to feel the pain of seeing our loved ones move on without us, especially when... it looks like we may never get to see them. Which is all the more reason why we have to make sure that this machine keeps sending out its signal. [Morse signal beeping]
Nicole: Did I just hear that right? Did Lucas just propose to Sami?
Brady: Yep.
Nicole: Well, I don't know who the bigger fool is -- Lucas for proposing or Sami if she accepts. Either way, it's a match made in hell.
Mimi: I think it's incredibly romantic -- Lucas proposing to Sami in front of half of Salem.
Rex: Yeah, but unless we hear an acceptance, which seems to be a long time coming, this could be incredibly embarrassing.
Philip: I knew this was coming.
Belle: Why doesn't she just say yes?
Philip: Because it's typical Sami. She's gonna make him sweat and then hang him out to dry.
Belle: Oh, God, please, Sami, don't.
Philip: You all right? You okay?
Belle: Yeah.
Jan: Aw... look at that, Shawn. Can you still see the "I love you more than anything" look that Belle has in her eyes for Philip?
Shawn-D: I was crazy to ever leave you. Every minute away from you has been torture. And now that I'm back, I am never gonna leave your side. Belle, will you marry me?
Belle: I'm very happy for Sami and Lucas, but that's never gonna happen to me and Shawn. Never.
Jan: Do you hear that, lover? You and Belle are ancient history.
Kate: This is my worst nightmare -- Lucas proposing to Sami in front of everyone. But she still hasn't answered yet. [Thinking] Please, God, let her say no. Let her say no.
Lucas: So... will you accept my proposal, or are you gonna leave me down here all night?
Nicole: You know what? Doesn't it suddenly seem like the world is going in slow-motion right now?
Brady: Yeah, I know, especially for Lucas. I don't know what the hell Sami's waiting for.
Nicole: A bigger ring?
Brady: What's with the attitude?
Nicole: Oh, come on, everyone has an attitude when it comes to Sami. You know, I happen to have a pretty ugly history when it comes to both of them.
Brady: You mean like when Kate paid you $5 million to dump Sami's twin brother so you could marry Lucas?
Nicole: Thanks for reminding me, Brady.
Brady: Hey, you were the one who brought it up.
Nicole: Okay, fine, you're right. It's ancient history. But if Sami plays her cards right, maybe Kate will pay her $5 million to not marry Lucas.
Rex: Mimi.
Mimi: Huh.
Rex: Promise me something.
Mimi: What?
Rex: When I ask you to marry me, do not leave me hanging, okay? Just say yes.
Mimi: I promise I won't say no like someone else. It's okay. You were right to wanna wait. But don't worry, when the time comes, I'll probably answer before you finish asking me.
Jan: Shawn, I'm turning off my earphone now. I can't risk anyone else hearing you again. But who knows? Maybe this whole marriage proposal thing will be catchy, and before the night is out, Philip will ask Belle to marry him, too.
Shawn-D: That will never happen!
Jan: We'll see about that, Tootsie Pop.
John: You know, I thought Sami would jump at this proposal, just to finally be a real family with Will.
Kate: Yes, it will make Will happy in the short term, but in reality, his mother is the worst thing that's ever happened to him.
John: Kate...
Kate: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, because I know that you raised her, but you have to know that it's true. And I just hope the little -- I hope she says no.
Sami: Lucas, of course I'll marry you.
Diners: Aww...
Man: Yeah!
Abe: So what are you doing?
Roman: Well, I figured if we haven't gotten anybody's attention yet, it seems to be we're not going to. So I'm gonna make a little adjustment here. Call it a hunch, call it desperation, but I just got a crazy feeling it might work.
Victor: I'd give anything to know what's going on at the Penthouse Grill between everyone, but especially between my lying slut of a murdering wife and my grandson Brady.
Caroline: I was shocked to see Jan Spears there.
Victor: So was I. But I thought Nicole would've gotten rid of her by now. She's a loose cannon. If she tells anyone that she killed me at Nicole's behest... and now there she is, hanging out with Philip and Belle. I hope they're not in any danger.
Marlena: Whoever's sending us the video is controlling exactly what we're seeing.
Caroline: Then why would someone go to so much trouble... elaborate refreshments... and then sending invitations?
Roman: Because he just wants us to watch each other agonize, that's why. Abe, did you check the perimeter when you were out there loading up on batteries?
Abe: Yeah. I didn't see a thing. I mean, there's still no sign of Patrick or Hope or Jack and Jennifer.
Tony: I hate to say this, but I don't think there will be.
Tek: Bo, you're gonna drive yourself crazy listening to that thing. Meme on, let's get this thing --
Bo: Hey, hey, no, no, leave it -- leave it on.
Tek: Okay. Fine. [Morse signal beeping weakly]
Tek: Okay, I'm gonna check with you later, all right?
Bo: Yeah. Fine.
Lexie: Oh! I was hoping you'd be here. I really need you.
Roman: Do you know what happened to Hope and Patrick?
Tony: No. I'm not saying anything you don't already know. The odds of survival in this jungle aren't very good. And it's abundantly clear to all of us that whoever our host -- he or she -- may be, wants us to remain permanent residents on this island.
Abe: But why?
Tony: Therein lies the question. So what is all this, uh, gathering about?
Tony: Well, our host has arranged a transmit of video from the Penthouse Grill in Salem.
Tony: I see. Why?
Roman: You tell us.
Caroline: Maggie was so upset that she saw Mickey that she had to leave.
Tony: Oh, well, there's your answer. This little reality show is meant to upset us. I'm truly sorry about -- for Maggie.
Doug: Oh, the hell you are. Tony, why don't you just tell us how to get off this damn island?
Victor: Save your breath, Doug. Tony's not gonna own up to anything.
Tony: I would if there was something to own up to. [Morse signal beeping]
Tony: Well, pray tell, what is this? [Static]
Bo: Damn it. It sounds familiar. Where have I heard this before? [Morse signal beeping weakly]
Bo: [Groans] Maybe I've been listening to the same damn thing for too many hours.
Tek: What's wrong, Lexie? What happened? Did something happen?
Lexie: It's just all the accusations -- that somehow Marlena wasn't dead when I pronounced her, that I'm responsible for her being buried alive.
Tek: Nothing happened. You're a doctor. She couldn't have survived that gunshot wound, right?
Lexie: Right. I mean, it just doesn't seem possible. But my Mother said that she --
Tek: Your mother? Your mother said Marlena was alive, and then she said she was dead. I mean, no offense, but I'm gonna take medical science and common sense over a psychic vibe.
Lexie: Oh, Tek...
Tek: What, Lexie? Something else is really bothering you, isn't it?
Lexie: Yeah. Okay, regardless of whether she was...dead or alive, Marlena is missing. Who could have taken her, Tek? Why? What drove her to kill Abe, Tony, all the others? What if my Father really is alive? What if he's the one behind the deaths of my husband, my brother, all the people I loved?
Tony: So, tell me, what kind of device is this? It's a form of communication, am I right? [Morse signal beeping]
Roman: It's something Abe and I rigged up to send out a signal that could get us rescued.
Tony: Oh. That's clever.
Victor: Of course, you could've saved us all the trouble.
Tony: You know, I'm so sick and tired of being blamed for this. I am not the reason why we are imprisoned here. For God's sake... I don't know how to get off this island. And if I did, I would never have revealed myself. I would've let you all keep thinking that I was dead. Huh. That's not Morse Code.
Roman: No. No, it isn't.
Abe: Roman, why did you change the code?
Jan: Whoo! Congratulations! Way to go!
Mimi: What was that all about? You don't even know Sami and Lucas.
Jan: Yeah, I know, but I can tell a love match when I see one. And if it's meant to be, nothing can keep them apart.
Brady: Maybe we should congratulate them?
Nicole: Are you kidding? If I try to hug them, they'll be looking for knives in their backs. You go ahead. Uh, waiter, can I have a martini?
Belle: Sami. Sami, I'm so glad you said yes. But, Sami, you weren't sure when I went over to your apartment earlier tonight. Are you really sure now?
Sami: Of course I am. Why would you ask?
Belle: Because the way you made him wait.
Sami: Belle, come with me.
John: Congratulations.
Lucas: Thank you.
John: I hope you know what you're getting yourself into.
Lucas: Are you saying you think I made a mistake by asking Sami to marry me?
John: No, I'm not saying that you made a mistake. In fact, I even agreed to pay for your wedding and honeymoon. I am genuinely happy for you and Sami. It's just that I think you and I both know how... unpredictable she can be.
Brady: Dad's right, Lucas. Sami's really high-maintenance.
Lucas: You should know. You're with the biggest gold digger of all time.
Brady: I'm not in love with her, Lucas. I'm not gonna be stuck with her for the rest of my life.
Belle: Sami, a few hours ago, you said that there was no way you were gonna say yes to Lucas. What made you change your mind?
Sami: Well, I know it sounds corny, but he swept me off my feet. Anyway, I'm sorry. I know this is probably tough for you with everything that's going on with Shawn.
Belle: Nothing's going on with Shawn. Nothing ever will. It's over.
Sami: So you're saying that even if he were to come back and fall all over himself apologizing and propose to y just to prove that he meant it, what would you say?
Belle: I'd have to say no. It would never happen.
Sami: Sweetie...
Jan: Did you hear that, Shawn? Belle wouldn't even marry you if you begged her.
Kate: Well, now that Lucas has thrown away his life, you're my only hope for happiness.
Roman: Abe, I changed the code because I wanted to try something unique -- something that Bo might recognize if he heard it. [Signal beeping]
Abe: Really.
Victor: It sounds random.
Roman: That's the beauty of it. It's an audible alphanumeric substitution that Bo and I came up with when we were kids. I just hope that Bo remembers it.
Tony: Well, even... only if he's picking up the signal. Marlena, do you mind if I pour myself a drink?
Marlena: No, please, help yourself.
Tony: Thank you.
Abe: You know, um, ahem, we still don't have any indication that code is being picked up.
Roman: Not yet. But it will. It has to. [Signal beeping weakly] [Static]
Tek: Okay, Lexie, sit down. Do you really believe your father was behind Marlena's disappearance?
Lexie: It's the only thing that makes sense, Tek. He was obsessed with Marlena. He hated the Brady's and the Horton's.
Tek: So you think setting her up as the serial killer, decimating those families, and then somehow taking her body from her coffin --
Lexie: That's exactly the sort of sick, twisted thing my father would do. It pains me to say it, Tek. I tried so hard to see the good in him. I loved him so much.
Tek: I'm sorry, Lexie.
Lexie: When I first learned that Stefano was my Father, I tried to convince myself and everyone around me that he wasn't the monster they all said he was. But it's true. He is a monster.
Lexie: One place I thought he would draw the line -- I thought that no matter what else he was capable of that he would lay down his own life for his family. But... to murder Tony, his own son? To make me a widow, take away my son's father forever? Not to mention what happened to all the other people. I thought I knew him, Tek. I-I didn't. I didn't know him at all. If my Father really is alive out there somewhere, God help us all.
Kate: You are my only hope for true happiness. And grandchildren.
Philip: Give me this. Do you have any idea how sad that sounds? And I'll tell you something else -- I am so tired of you acting like the entire future of your family is my responsibility.
Rex: He's right, Mom. 'Cause it's not true.
Philip: Excuse me.
Rex: Or have you forgotten that I'm your son, too?
Kate: Oh, God, no. No, I haven't forgotten that. I am thrilled to have you back in my life, and I am happy for you and Mimi. It's just that Sami is not exactly the woman I would have chosen for Lucas.
Rex: But Lucas and Sami have a child together. You have a grandson, and now he finally knows what it feels like to have both his parents back. I know, because I grew up without parents and a family. And then when I finally found that Roman was murdered -- so now I'll never know what it feels like to have a father. But it's not too late to know what it feels like to have the love of my Mother.
Kate: I'm sorry.
Rex: I know that you hardly know me, but is it too late to start trying?
Kate: No. Of course it's not too late. I can't tell you how much it means to have a second chance to have a relationship with you.
Rex: Then why do you act like the future of your family depends on Philip and Lucas and their happiness?
Kate: I'm sorry that I make you feel that way. Because your happiness does matter to me. And I do love you. And don't ever doubt that.
Philip: Congratulations, bro. I'm proud of you. I didn't know you could sing like that, either.
Lucas: Yeah, me neither. Thanks. So, um, I guess you're next.
Philip: What?
Lucas: Did I inspire you to do what Mom wants and go after Belle? Come on, man, I know you want to. Just go for it. It'd be kind of cool, you know? Two brothers, two sisters... our families would be all mixed up.
Philip: Yeah.
Lucas: Trust me, real love doesn't come by that often. I know.
Brady: Hey, Sami, I'm glad you finally found happiness. God knows it's been hiding from you long enough.
Sami: Wow, that's a pretty cheap shot there, Brady, especially considering you're never gonna find happiness as long as you're panting after the murdering merry widow slut of Salem.
Brady: Sami, it's nice to know that getting everything you ever wanted hasn't mellowed you.
[Signal beeping]
Marlena: Oh.
Marlena: Well, I knew that Sami and Lucas were getting closer, but they... gosh, they seem so happy.
Roman: Yeah, well, Lucas is a good kid. Takes after Kate a lot. Actually, I couldn't be happier.
Tony: Hmm. John and Kate seem to be getting rather close.
Roman: John and Kate are friends. They just lost somebody they love. It's logical they would turn to each other for comfort.
Tony: Well, of course they would. It wouldn't be the first time two people in need... to ease their comfort and their pain and sorrow...
Roman: Well, speaking of pain, Tony, you're just as big a pain in the ass here as you were back in the real Salem. So shut the hell up, will ya? There is nothing going on between John and Kate.
Tony: Well, of course there isn't. Any fool can see that.
Abe: You know, I-I don't see Lexie. Is she there with anyone?
Tek: Lexie, we don't have any proof that your father's behind this.
Lexie: Well, then who is, Tek? What is going to happen next? Why was Marlena's body taken? Why did Abe, Tony, all the others have to die?
Tek: You know, I don't know. The best evidence we have is missing.
Lexie: What do you mean?
Tek: Marlena's body is gone, the bullet that shot her was never recovered from the funeral home... the rifle that was used by the sharpshooter is missing from the police station.
Lexie: What?
Tek: I mean, this is obviously some kind of huge cover-up.
Lexie: Okay, wait, I-I don't understand. Bo ordered the sharpshooter to fire the shot that killed Marlena.
Tek: And then he retracted his order, but he was never heard. All I'm saying, this is a far-reaching conspiracy, and Milbauer was in on it. The question is, who else?
Lexie: And who would've planned it? The more I find out about this, the more I realize it has to be my Father. Who else has that kind of power?
[Signal beeping]
Roman: Uh, no, Abe, um, uh, we haven't seen Lexie yet. I don't think she's there.
Abe: Yeah, well, good. I mean, she's, uh, she's probably home with Theo.
Tony: Oh, Abe, you don't expect my sister to be mourning you forever. After all, she's a beautiful young woman with needs and desires.
Abe: Of course I don't expect her to be mourning me for the rest of her life. But I'm alive, damn it. Which is all the more reason for us to pray that this machine's signal is picked up by somebody and they get us outta here. And when they do, then we'll know who's behind this. And if it's you or your old man, well, then God help you. Because the Phoenix will not rise again.
Marlena: Oh, no, no, the transmission stopped.
Roman: That must mean something's going on they don't want us to see.
John: Kate, I think we need to go congratulate Sami.
Kate: You mean now?
John: Well... yeah.
Kate: You're gonna have to give me a little more notice than that.
John: Kate... come on.
Kate: I told Roman and I told Lucas that I would try to get along with her, but I'm not ready to face her yet.
John: I know. Look, she hasn't exactly rolled the red carpet out for me, either, these last couple years, but... I had a talk with her earlier, and I really think that... it's gonna be all right. Come on. Safety in numbers?
Sami: God, it's like the two of them are spitting on my parents' grave.
Lucas: Sami, you said you'd try to get along with my Mother.
Sami: You're right, and, Lucas, I will. I promise, I'm not going to let anything ruin the happiest night of my life.
Jan: Belle, would you really say no to Shawn if he came back and proposed to you?
Belle: Shawn and I have moved on without each other.
Philip: Hey.
Belle: Hi.
Jan: Philip, thank God Belle has had you to get through all this.
Belle: Oh, Philip's been the answer to all my prayers. I don't know what I would do without him.
Shawn-D: Oh, my God. This is real. This is real. I'm watching it. There is no way Jan could just have made this happen. [Radio static] [Signal beeping]
Bo: There. There, got it back. What the hell? [Cellular phone rings] [Ring]
John: John Black.
Bo: Hey, man, it's me.
John: Hey, Bo. Is there a problem?
Bo: No. I got this strange transmission on my computer. It's -- it's like it's some kind of a signal.
John: Yeah, we registered that earlier. Want me to come down?
Bo: No, uh, no, I'll come to you. Where are you?
John: Penthouse Grill. Lucas and Sami just got en--
Bo: I'm on my way. Oh, man. Where have I heard this before? Damn it. Maybe John will know something about it.
Tek: Here we go.
Lexie: Is this ever going to be over, Tek? Why did I trust my Father? I chose him over my own husband once. That's how much I believed in him. Why did I let myself love him?
Tek: Lexie, you're a wonderful woman. You're a talented, devoted doctor and a loving, dedicated mother. Whatever's happened has absolutely nothing to do with you, so I don't want you to blame yourself, Lexie.
Lexie: It's just... [Sighs] everything that's happened, Tek, all the deaths, and now this -- this latest horror with Marlena's body missing. I am trying so hard to stay strong. I just can't do it anymore. I can't.
Tek: Oh.
Lexie: I can't.
Tek: Come on.
Lexie: [Sighs]
Rex: Listen, we're going to head out.
Philip: Oh.
Belle: Come on, you guys.
Mimi: I'm sorry, Belle. I'm just not in the mood to party.
Belle: Well, thanks for hanging with me as long as you did, Meems.
Mimi: We both tried. Tell Sami I'm happy for her.
Belle: I will. And if there's anything I can do, just let me know.
Mimi: Okay.
Belle: Okay?
Mimi: Honey, is it okay if we stop by my Mom's on the way home, make sure she's okay?
Rex: Yeah, sure.
Mimi: Okay. Bye.
Philip: See ya, Meems.
Belle: Good night, you guys.
Jan: Yeah, you know, I should actually be heading out, too.
Belle: Oh, I'm sorry we didn't get to meet your, uh, fiancé.
Philip: Yeah, he really is a mystery man, huh?
Jan: Oh, well, he may have had to cancel dinner, but he'll show up later for a little midnight snack.
Belle: Well, tell him we're disappointed that we didn't get to meet him.
Jan: Oh, I will. I'm disappointed, too. I know you guys would really like him.
Belle: Well, from everything you've said about him, I feel like I already know him.
Jan: Oh, believe me, Belle, you do.
Jan: My fiancé is just like Philip -- caring, attentive, handsome, most importantly, rich. That's probably why you feel like you know him. Well, I'm outta here. Don't stay out too late, you lovebirds.
Belle: "Lovebirds"?
Philip: Let's dance. Come on.
Belle: Okay.
[Slow jazz music playing]
Jan: I'm outta here, lover, but here's something for you to watch and remember until I get there.
Shawn-D: How could you give up on me like that, Belle?!
John: You can't put this off any longer, because you know this is what Roman would want.
Kate: Do you always know exactly the right thing to say?
John: Yes, just like you always know exactly the right thing to do.
Sami: Oh, dear.
Nicole: I sincerely want to wish both of you every happiness and success in your marriage.
Brady: There you go.
Sami: Do you really think that she meant that?
Lucas: Nah.
Sami: Nah. What the hell do you want?
[Signal beeping]
Victor: It's getting late. Caroline and I are going to go back to the pub. If the transmissions start up again, please let us know what happens.
Caroline: Yeah. So, night, everybody.
Marlena: Good night, Caroline, Victor.
Doug: Good night, guys.
Victor: Get some rest, all of you. Stop torturing yourselves.
Doug: Yeah.
Abe: You know, uh, Victor is right. We are torturing ourselves. I just wish I could have seen Lexie to know she's all right.
Marlena: What if she had been with somebody else?
Abe: I don't think I could have handled it as well as you two did, seeing John and Kate.
Tek: You're right, Lexie. You can't do this on your own anymore. You need someone to help you. That someone is right here, and I'm not going anywhere.
Lexie: Uh...
Roman: You know what, Doc? I am glad that John and Kate have turned to each other for support and comfort, and I am sure that that's all it is.
Marlena: Of course. Of course. Gah... and I -- and I think that if -- if John were to move on, I think that -- I think that, um... it would be wonderful if it were Kate.
Roman: Well, I'll tell you what, Doc, uh, I might feel the same way if I was dead, but we're not dead, and what does happen if we go back to Salem and find out our loved ones have turned and gone on with somebody else?
Marlena: Roman, we can't let that happen. You've got to make sure that device works.
Roman: It will work, Doc. It will.
Marlena: And what if it doesn't? And what if we end up spending the rest of our lives on this Godforsaken island, huh? [Sobbing]
Roman: I'm so sorry, Doc. I, uh... I shouldn't have done that. It's just that, uh... I remember back when we were married and you'd get upset, and... I just couldn't stand to see you cry. And you always told me that it helped if I kissed you, because then you couldn't think or worry about anything else.
Marlena: Well, then, I've stopped crying. I guess it still works, huh?
Abe: What the hell?!
Marlena: Oh, my gosh.
Tony: I'm sorry. It fell into your machine. Oh, I'm afraid it's broken. Oh. It's all right, though. I'm fine. [Signal beeps] [Radio static]
Bo: What the hell? Come on. How the hell does it just disappear like that? Maybe Tek was right. It's radio waves or sun spots or something. Damn it.
Abe: It's a working PDA.
Marlena: Quick, get a phone. Maybe we can call Salem.
Philip: There is some information that you don't know about.
Bo: What is this about Shawn? What is it that I don't know?
Sami: Thank you for a lovely evening.
Nicole: There is one thing I want more than anything else.
Brady: What's that?
Nicole: You.
