Jan: I think it's time you took another nap, Mr. Brady.
Jan: Get off! Get... let go of me!
Shawn-D: Aah!
Jan: I'm sorry, Shawn. Guess it's true what they say -- you only hurt the one you love.
Belle: Phillip, do you really think you can -- you can prove that Jan's lying about Shawn?
Phillip: Yeah, I'm almost positive she is. Come on, there's no way that Shawn would break up with you through Jan Spears. It wouldn't happen.
Belle: But nobody else knew about our promise. Shawn and I agreed that as long as we kept our rings, that meant we were okay, we were still together, but if one of us ever gave it back --
Phillip: No, I still don't think he did. Let me have that box. In fact, I'm going to take this to Tek at Salem P.D., have him check it for Shawn's prints. That way you'll have your proof for sure whether he really gave this to Jan or not, and if he didn't --
Belle: If he didn't, that means there's still hope he'll come back to me.
Phillip: Yeah. I just think it's time you knew for sure Belle.
Phillip: Come here. I want you to keep an eye on her. I'll be right back as soon as I can with your answer, all right?
Belle: Okay. Thank you, Phillip, for everything.
Phillip: You take care of that knee, all right?
Belle: Okay.
Phillip: Try not to worry. I'll be right back.
Belle: Okay. [Sighs]
Hope: We've been searching for hours, and still no sign of a plane crash. How big is this island, anyway?
Patrick: I don't know -- big. Do you need to stop and rest?
Hope: No way. If Jennifer's out there, if she is alive, there's a good chance she's hurt, possibly going into labor. We've got to keep going until we find her.
Patrick: I'm right with you.
Jack: Jennifer!
Jennifer: Jack. Oh. Oh. You -- you got to help me.
Jack: Don't move an inch. Stay where you are. Jennifer, freeze!
Jennifer: Aah! Aah!
Jack: Jennifer! Jennifer!
Jennifer: Aah!
Jack: Aah!
Jack: Oh, Jennifer. Jennifer.
Marlena: But do you suppose it's possible? I mean, Tony's theory that this is all part of some sick game or -- or even some kind of a test, and that not everybody is going to make it off the island alive?
Roman: Well, I'm afraid his -- his theory might be partially right anyway, I mean, given that Jack might already be dead.
Abe: And Jennifer -- she was on that plane we heard crash in the jungle.
Marlena: And now Patrick and Hope are missing.
Roman: And if Lockhart is working for whoever's behind this, then Hope may very well have been brought here against her will.
Marlena: [Groans] What is going on here, and how long do we have to live this nightmare? You know what? Sometimes I think we... might have been better off if we'd died.
Sami: Damn it, I tried to tell you. I tried to tell all of you at Mom's funeral that she wasn't dead, and no one would listen to me, and now we open up her coffin and -- and she's missing.
Bo: I'm going to have to get back to you. Sami, I promised you I'd find out what happened to your mom, and I will.
Sami: How? That maniac mortician killed himself before you were able to get any information out of him, but not before he managed to burn all the burial records on file for this whole past year from hell.
Tek: We also have to consider the possibility Milbauer's death wasn't a suicide. Someone could have taken him out to keep him from talking.
John: Either way, Milbauer knew what happened to Marlena.
Sami: Oh, I can tell you what happened to Mom. Either Lexie made a really big mistake, or hello, she outright lied to us about Mom being dead.
Lucas: Come on, Sami, stop.
Sami: Lucas, listen to me. Obviously, Lexie is in on this conspiracy to kill my Mom with John and Kate and Bo. Now that we know the truth, we're going to be next on their list. Lucas, it's true. It all makes perfect sense. They didn't just kill my Mom. They killed my Dad and my grandma -- they killed them all.
Lucas: Sami, calm down and listen to yourself. You're talking crazy.
Sami: Lucas, you're going to side with them again?
Lucas: Everybody here, with the possible exception of Milbauer, had nothing to do with what happened to your mom. That's why we're here. We're as desperate to learn the truth as you are, Sami -- everybody.
Celeste: He's right, Samantha.
Sami: Well, then, do something. You have to find her.
John: We will, Sami. You can bank on that.
Sami: Oh, not you. Why don't you leave my Mother alone for once?
Bo: Sami, that's enough. If you want us to find your mother's body, you got to let us do this investigation. Lucas, take her home.
Lucas: That's a great idea. Come on, Sami, let's go.
Sami: No, I'm not going anywhere -- not until we find out what happened to my Mother.
Bo: I thought you said you knew.
Sami: I do. I want proof.
Bo: Uh-huh. Look... I know this has been a big shock to you. It has been for all of us. We all want answers. But the sooner you go home, let me do my job, the sooner you'll get those answers.
Sami: Fine. I'll leave. But I swear to God, whoever did this to my Mother is going to pay. Get off me.
Bo: Tek, Lexie, I want you to examine his body. I want to know for sure whether it was suicide or murder.
Tek: We'll get right on it.
John: I got a question for Lexie first.
Lexie: Of course, John. What is it?
John: I know Sami was hysterical, said a lot of irrational things, but... What if she was right about one thing? Is it possible that, when you examined my wife's body, you might not have known or... You just didn't admit that she was alive?
Roman: Doc, Doc, you don't mean that.
Abe: Marlena, you don't wish we had all really died.
Marlena: No. Of course I don't. I just don't know how much longer we can do this, live this nightmare. Look, it's not knowing what we're doing here, what's to become of us. If the strain becomes too much, I'm just afraid that sooner or later...
Roman: Afraid of what, Doc?
Marlena: I'm afraid we might start to turn on each other.
Roman: That is not going to happen. We can't give up hope. We're going to find a way to escape, no matter what it takes.
Hope: [Coughs] Oh, God.
Patrick: Put your head back. Open your mouth.
Hope: What? Why?
Patrick: Just do it.
Hope: Oh! Mmm. Oh, God, water.
Patrick: You looked like you needed it.
Hope: I wonder if I will ever get out of here, back to Salem, to Bo, to my boys. I love them. I miss them so much.
Patrick: I'm sure they miss you, too.
Hope: God, I hate to think what my whole family must be going through -- grieving for me, not knowing what happened.
Patrick: Look, I think we need to move on.
Hope: You do know something, don't you?
Patrick: What?
Hope: What all of this is about, what's going on here.
Patrick: I told you, I don't, and that's the truth. There it is -- that's the wreckage from the plane. Wait, wait. I think I see a dead body.
Hope: Oh, my God, is --
Patrick: Let me check.
Jack: Jennifer. Jennifer... Is that you?
Jennifer: Jack. It's all right. It's all right. I'm -- I'm at peace now, Jack. I'm so happy. Except, of course, for missing you so much. Come to me. Come to me, my love. Be with me forever.
Jan: Don't worry, sweetheart. I'll get rid of Belle and Philip, and then we can get back to planning our future together.
Jan: And in the meantime, you be a good boy and keep your mouth shut if you know what's good for you.
Shawn-D: Belle...
Jan: That silly cat of mine, always getting into trouble. This time she knocked over -- what happened to Philip? Where is he?
Belle: Oh, he had to check in with the base. He couldn't get a signal on his cell, so he drove into town.
Jan: Why did he do that when he just could have used the phone in the house? What's going on, Belle? What are you and Philip up to?
Kate: Honey, slow up.
Philip: Hey, Mom, I'm sorry. I'm kind of in a hurry.
Kate: Why? What's wrong? What happened?
Philip: Well, Shawn -- there's been some news.
Kate: News? What news?
Philip: I'm not sure I believe it myself, but someone that Belle and I knew in high school ran into Shawn, and she talked to him.
Kate: And?
Philip: And he says he's done with Belle.
Kate: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. That is incredible news. Honey, now you can tell Belle how you feel about her, and the two of you can be together.
Lucas: Sami, will you wait? Just wait a minute. I want to talk to you.
Sami: Why won't you just leave me alone?!
Lucas: Because I'm worried about you. You're hysterical. You need to calm down.
Sami: Oh, calm down? My Mother was buried alive, and we just found proof of it, and now her body is missing, and -- and the man who is supposed to love me sided with the sicko's who did this to her.
Lucas: That's what I'm talking about. You're not making any sense at all. Listen to me. If John, Bo, and Lexie were responsible for what happened to your mom, do you really think they'd through the trouble of having your mom's body exhumed?
Sami: There was no body, was there? Because it's missing, and I have no idea what happened to her, but what I do know is that they obviously don't feel like they disgraced her enough while she was alive.
Lucas: Don't get yourself worked up. Listen to me, okay?
Sami: No, you listen to me! I hate you for siding with them against me. I hate you, and I never want to see you again. You're wearing a bikini during your period ?
Hope: Oh, my God, Jennifer. Oh, thank God, it's not her. Patrick, help me.
Patrick: Okay.
Hope: Aah!
Patrick: It's the pilot.
Hope: He's been dead for a while.
Davies: I'm warning you, Lockhart... If you don't start to cooperate, do what you were told to do with Jennifer Deveraux, you will regret it.
Hope: Who is this man? Do you recognize him?
Jennifer: Jack! Jack, come with me. Hurry. I have to be going soon.
Jack: Jennifer... I'm coming. Don't go without me.
Marlena: Not only do we have to find a way out of here, we've got to do it soon before something else happens.
Abe: Well, you're right. Two lives have probably already been lost.
Marlena: No, no, you know what? Make that three. Don't forget Jack and Jennifer's baby.
Roman: And now Hope may be next.
Abe: And then there were none.
Marlena: Do you think that's true? It's like the story, where we're all captive on this island being picked off one by one?
Tek: John, take it easy, man. You know Lexie didn't misdiagnose Marlena's death. Your wife was shot through the heart. Everyone knew she was dead, yourself included.
Bo: You believed she was dead as much as Lexie or any of the rest of us.
John: I know. I'm sorry. It's just that when I think about Doc being buried alive, just gasping for air, trying to claw her way out of that coffin while we just stood around, it's -- I know that's impossible. I just --
Lexie: John, it's okay. It's okay. I understand. I know how I would feel if I thought Abe had gone through something like that.
Bo: Look, man, I swore to you I'd find out what happened to your wife... And mine and Jen, and even Patrick Lockhart, because I think they're all connected somehow. There's a -- there's a larger picture. That much I know. What I don't know, what none of the rest of us know, is -- is just how far this reaches.
Tek: Yeah, we'll get to work on Milbauer's body, okay?
Lexie: Yeah.
Tek: All right.
Lexie: Okay.
Celeste: [Gasps]
John: Celeste? What is it?
Celeste: I just remembered something -- something that has me convinced more than ever that Marlena really is still alive. John... You recall the night that I was here at the mortuary with her body, the night before we buried her? I told you of my vision.
John: Yeah. She sat up, and she grabbed your arm.
Celeste: Yes.
John: Yeah.
Celeste: And then she said something that I didn't quite understand at the time. She said that everything that's happened, it's all a lie.
John: What? Why didn't you tell me that then?
Celeste: I didn't know she meant her death. It didn't seem possible, especially after we saw the undertaker stab her with the scalpel -- come on. She couldn't have -- she couldn't have survived that.
Bo: No, no. There is a way she could have survived. If Marlena's still alive, I believe I know how it happened. ( Sniffs )
Jan: Tonight's the night, lover -- the night I finally make you mine.
Belle: Back off, bitch. Stay away from my man.
Jan: Oh, please. Uma Thurman you're not. But I am.
Belle: Big mistake, Jan. Don't ever underestimate a woman in love.
Belle: Are you okay, Shawn?
Shawn-D: I am now.
Jan: No! You cannot have him! I have worked too hard! He was almost mine!
Belle: You should have quit while you were ahead, Jan.
Belle: Philip and I aren't up to anything. The only reason we're here is because you called and said you'd seen Shawn.
Jan: Which I did.
Belle: Really, Jan? Is what you told me really the truth?
Jan: [Thinking] Jeez, how many times does this loser need to hear it? I've got things to do, like her ex-boyfriend. I'm sorry. I wish that there was something that I could say or do to ease your pain. But I know that there's not, so I'm just going to call you a cab, and we'll talk later, okay? After you've had a good cry.
Belle: When you called today and you told me that you'd seen Shawn, I was so praying that you had good news. I mean, that's why Philip and I rushed out here. I just -- I couldn't wait to find out where he was and go to him.
Jan: I know.
Belle: The funny thing is, is that when I first came into the house, I had this feeling that he was right here.
Jan: Why on earth would you think that Shawn was here?
Belle: I don't know. It was just a feeling. He and I have always had this connection, like his parents -- at least I thought we did.
Jan: Well, maybe you don't after all, 'cause he definitely isn't here. But I-I know what you mean about a special connection. I mean, that's what I have for real with my fiancé.
Belle: Jan, you're so lucky. It sounds like you've found the true love that I thought I had with Shawn.
Jan: I have. I have exactly what you've always dreamed of.
Kate: So Shawn returns his ring to Belle signifying in no uncertain terms that their relationship is over, and you're trying to prove it's a lie. Philip, this is the chance that you've been waiting for. This is the moment you've been waiting for. Honey, you have to act before Shawn does return to town.
Philip: No, Mom. There's no way I'm doing that.
Kate: Honey, you love Belle, don't you?
Philip: Yes, I love her, but, Mom, I want her to be with me because she wants to be, not because she's hurt or vulnerable or looking for an escape. I refuse to exploit that.
Kate: And if Shawn does come back?
Philip: Well, then, I'll fight for her, but I'll do it up front, not behind his back some sort of opportunistic, underhanded way.
Kate: Then you'll lose.
Philip: Well, thanks, Mom. I'm touched, as always, by your confidence in me. Thank you.
Kate: Honey, you know exactly what I mean. In my heart, I believe that you are the best person for Belle, but you have to give her a chance to see that, honey.
Philip: Mom, what you want me to do is wrong. I will not push Belle into something she isn't ready for. I will not take advantage of her trust in me.
Kate: Well, reality check, because sometimes the end justifies the means.
Philip: Well, maybe for you, but I am still a U.S. Marine, even if I'm on leave, and I happen to believe in such things as honor and integrity.
Kate: Okay. Well, that's all well and good. I just hope your honor keeps you warm at night.
Lucas: Come on, Sami. We shouldn't leave things like this.
Sami: I told you that I don't want to see you again, okay? So just get out and leave me alone.
Lucas: I don't believe that.
Sami: Well, that's your problem.
Lucas: Why are you doing this, huh? Why are you pushing me away? I thought you loved me. I thought we weren't going to do this again.
Sami: Yeah, well, I thought that you loved me, too, but obviously, you don't, or you -- you wouldn't have taken John's side against me.
Lucas: For the last time, it's not about taking sides. It's about seeing logic, and you're not getting it.
Sami: There isn't any logic in any of this, Lucas. I don't understand what is going on in the whole world right now, never mind what I thought that we had together. So please just get out, okay? Leave me alone.
Lucas: You're making a big mistake. I love you more than you'll ever know. And if I leave now, I'm never coming back.
Sami: Fine by me.
Hope: Well? Patrick, have you ever seen this man before?
Patrick: No, I've never seen him before in my life.
Hope: I've got to find Jennifer. I'm gonna check the wreckage.
Patrick: No, it could be dangerous. You'd better let me.
Hope: I'll be fine.
Jack: [Gasping] no. No. No. No...
Abe: I'm not gonna let that happen, Marlena. As long as we're here, we're sitting ducks at Stefano or whoever's mercy. Now there's got to be a way to get beyond that force field. I'm determined to find it.
Roman: You know what, pard? I agree with you. I mean, getting out of here is our top priority. But not at the risk of losing other lives. I mean, we still don't know what the hell is out there. So just escaping this fake Salem into the jungle doesn't guarantee us making it home. On the contrary, we could end up like Jack.
Abe: Yeah. Well, you're right. I mean, if he wasn't gotten by a wild animal, then it was our captor, most likely. And without any weapons or any form of defense.
Marlena: Then we have no choice. We have to continue.
Roman: Doc, listen to me, okay? I'm not a psychiatrist here, but I can assure you this. None of us is going to turn on the other, no matter what the strain, because we are all we've got.
Marlena: That's not my concern, Roman. The longer we're here, the more likely we are to accept our fate. It's inevitable. And we may do things that we might regret later when we return -- if we return -- to Salem.
Roman: You mean like Mom getting involved with Victor again.
Marlena: Yes. Fear and loneliness are very powerful motivators. It's natural to turn to somebody else for comfort. Especially if that person is someone with whom we already have a bond.
Roman: Well, we got to get out of here before that happens.
Abe: The question is, how?
John: Hey, come on, buddy. If you've got some theory about what happened to my wife, let's hear it.
Bo: I was thinking of Carly. You know, how Vivian gave her that powerful herb to make it appear that she was dead.
Celeste: Yes. And Carly was buried alive.
John: Wait, you think that maybe something like that happened to Marlena?
Bo: Yeah, she could have been given a paralytic drug that not only made it appear that she was dead, but made her impervious to pain, so, you know, that scalpel -- she wouldn't have felt it. Ah, you -- oh! I'm just grasping at straws here, John. I could believe my wife is still alive because I haven't seen her body, but Marlena -- I'm sorry, man. She was shot in the heart. There's no way she could have survived. There's only a couple scenarios here that could be true. We got some sicko grave robber, or -- I know you don't want to hear this, but maybe Milbauer was running some kind of business on the side. You know, selling human organs on the black market.
Celeste: Oh, God.
Tek: Well, I can definitely confirm Milbauer offed himself.
Lexie: There's no doubt about it.
Tek: If you don't need me for anything else, I'm gonna drop these samples off at the lab. Then I'll go arrange a coroner to pick up the body.
Bo: Okay, thanks, man.
Tek: All right.
Lexie: Milbauer must have been terrified to have actually killed himself rather than reveal whatever it was he knew.
Bo: Missing something here. There's a piece of the puzzle we're not getting.
Lexie: Yeah, I know.
Bo: Like, who the hell is behind this?
Celeste: [Gasps] Oh! Oh, God, no! It can't be!
Jan: There I go again, saying exactly the wrong thing. Belle, I'm so sorry. I just -- I can't help but get carried away whenever I talk about this incredible person who's come into my life. I mean, he's everything I've ever wanted and never thought that I'd have.
Belle: I understand. He must be wonderful.
Jan: Mm. And great looking, too. Thick, wavy dark hair. With this one stray lock that's always falling into his face. Oh, and the sexiest brown eyes you've ever seen. Eyes that make me melt whenever he looks at me. But I think the part that I love best are his soft, sensuous lips. And what he can do with them. I mean, talk about an upper persuasion for a lower invasion. But then... You wouldn't know anything about that, now, would you?
Kate: I just don't understand you. You say that you're in love with Belle, but you don't want to do anything about it.
Philip: Mom, I am crazy about her. She is all I ever think about. I would do anything for her, but what I will not do is try to manipulate her into being with me. How many times do I have to say this? It just isn't right.
Kate: All is fair in love and war. Don't you know that?
Philip: You know, that you could even say that is unbelievable to me. Look how far that got Billie with Bo. Or maybe Nicole with Lucas. You know it was wrong to try to push them to be together. It's a lot like how hard I pushed with Chloe when it just wasn't meant to be. No, thank you, Mom. I do not want to go down that road again, and if you can't accept that, then we have nothing else to talk about.
Lucas: I mean it. If I walk out that door, I'm not coming back. You just lost both your parents, and I am trying to be there for you, but you won't let me. So... I can't do this anymore. Are you sure this is what you really want?
Sami: Don't you dare turn this around and make me the bad guy. You are the one who did this, Lucas. You ruined everything just when I needed you most.
Lucas: No. I haven't done anything but be there for you and support you, Sami. You know that. But you keep freaking out because you're so scared.
Sami: I have a right to freak out, Lucas! God! My Mother was buried alive. And I tried to tell you. I tried to tell everyone, and no one would listen to me, including her husband, who was too busy pretending to be devastated at his own wife's funeral. I am still convinced that John is the killer and that he is in cahoots with Kate on this.
Lucas: Well, then I give up. 'Cause I'm trying to help you, and you're not letting me.
Sami: You had your chance to help me. But it's too late now. It's too late for everything. Just go. Please go.
Shawn-D: [Mumbling]
Jan: Nothing against you, Belle, but I do have to say that I'm glad my guy isn't into the whole purity thing. I mean, we just love being as close as two people can be.
Belle: Our rings are about commitment.
Jan: And nobody is more committed than my fiancé. I mean, I can count on him completely and absolutely. Once he gives his heart, it's forever.
Belle: My God, I know I've said this before. It's really... If I didn't know any better, I'd think your fiancé was Shawn.
Jan: It is.
Philip: Tek, hey. I can't believe I ran into you. Listen, I need a favor.
Tek: Okay, I'm in a big hurry, man. What's up?
Philip: All right, look, there is a jewelry box in here. I need to know if it has Shawn Brady's fingerprints on it. It's important.
Tek: You got a lead on Shawn?
Philip: Possibly, yeah. I just don't want anything to get out until I know for sure.
Tek: Okay, I'll have one of my lab tech's run a match for Shawn, see what we get.
Philip: Perfect. Appreciate it.
Tek: It's no problem.
Kate: Honey, this is really getting to be too much. Why would you go out of your way to try to prove that Shawn hasn't given up on Belle?
Philip: I think I've answered that, Mom.
Kate: You and your brother are just determined to drive me crazy, aren't you? Lucas is throwing away his life on a nut case like Sami, and you're giving up possibly your one and only chance at true happiness.
Lucas: A letter from Will. Sami's gonna want to see this.
Sami: Dear God, I know it must seem like I only pray when I want something. And I probably don't deserve to have my prayers answered anyway. I was... so mean to Lucas before. And I don't even know why. Maybe he's right. Maybe -- maybe I'm just scared. I'd like to ask for your forgiveness and...your help. To do better. I want to be a better person. I want to be the kind of person that my Mom and Dad wanted me to be. And I promise that I will try -- I will try so hard if you'll bring my Mom back safely. Please. God, I'll do anything. I'll give up my happiness. I'll -- I'll do anything if you bring my Mom home.
Jack: Jennifer? Jennifer? You're there. You didn't fall in the river. Jennifer! Hold on! Hold on! I'm coming to save you! I'm c--
Jack: I just wish I knew how.
Patrick: Any sign of Jennifer?
Hope: No, thank God. I'm gonna check the cockpit. [Rustling]
Patrick: Hope, look out!
Roman: You know what? I still say it's too dangerous to attempt an escape. Our only hope is for someone to rescue us.
Abe: Like who?
Marlena: And how, when there's no way to communicate with the outside world?
Roman: Wait a minute. There just might be.
Abe: And what are you talking about?
Roman: I got an idea. Come with me.
Bo: Celeste? What is it?
Lexie: Mom, are you getting some kind of a vibe about who did this?
Celeste: Yes. A very strong vibe.
John: I know what you're thinking, Celeste. It's what we should have known all along. Doc is innocent. There's no way she committed those murders, because who is the one person who could have set her up like that, huh? [Laughs] Who else could have set her up like that?
Lexie: Wait a minute. John, you are not thinking...
Lexie: No.
Bo: None of us wants to say his name. We all want to believe he's dead, gone, out of our lives forever. But there is only one person who could be responsible for what happened to Marlena.
John: I'll say it. Stefano DiMera.
John: And if Doc is out there, that lousy bastard's got her.
Roman: If my plan works, we'll all get off this island.
Marlena: You, my friend, are a genius.
Belle: I should have thought of this before. Whatever's going on with Shawn has to be psychological.
Jan: You better not be saying that he's crazy.
Nicole: Word is Chloe and the tenor are doing a lot more than just singing together.
Sami: Prove you'll never leave me.
Lucas: Will you marry me?
