Lucas: There you are.
Sami: Yeah, here I am.
Lucas: What's up with you? I went to get another cup of coffee, and you just disappeared. I looked all over the cafeteria.
Sami: I just wanted to be alone.
Lucas: You know, I know what's going on. And I know you're scared. Your mom's going to take that truth serum, the police are going to question her, and you're afraid she's going to admit to being the Salem Serial Killer.
Sami: Look, that is not going to happen, Lucas. She is not going to confess, okay? Why would she confess to a crime that she didn't have anything to do with?
Lucas: I'm just saying "what if," all right? What's that going to do to you? What's that going to do to our son? What's it going to do to us... you know, as a couple?
Jennifer: I just have to know. I just have to know the truth about who killed Jack.
Mickey: I'm having real trouble comprehending all this. How could Marlena -- how could she be the one that -- that killed all those people? And why would she kill my Maggie?
Hope: Lex. Are you all right?
Lexie: Yeah, yeah, I'm fine.
Hope: You sure? We could get another physician to finish giving her the truth serum.
Lexie: No, no, I want to do this. After hearing her confession, I... I just -- I don't want to leave.
Hope: Okay.
John: I wish I could talk Marlena out of doing this.
Bo: But you can't. She wanted it. She wanted to be questioned under the influence of sodium pentathol. Judge Fitzpatrick is here, she's going to supervise the questioning. John, all we want are the facts, same as you.
Bo: Marlena, are you okay? You ready to get started?
Shawn-D: I wish there was something I could do.
Belle: It's going to happen now, Shawn.
Bo: Let's pick up where we left off. Tell me what happened after you came back from Colorado visiting your son Eric.
Marlena: When I had seen Eric, I caught an earlier flight home. Nobody knew I was back. After I had gotten home, I... unpacked my bag. I saw the mask. I knew I had to kill Abe.
Lexie: That was my husband. That was Abe!
Hope: Lex, Lex, Lex. Lex.
Bo: Marlena, I want you to describe exactly what happened.
Marlena: Well, I was... I was watching Abe, and he left his house. He was going to his son's christening.
Marlena: I knew Abe would never suspect me. It was perfect.
Marlena: Hi.
Abe: Marlena, what are you doing here?
Marlena: You all ready for the christening?
Abe: Oh, 100% ready.
Marlena: Hope you're being careful. We wouldn't want anything to happen to you.
Abe: Don't worry about me. I've got my gun. I've got my vest.
Marlena: Yeah. I got my gun, too.
Abe: Wh-- I don't understand.
Marlena: I knew this would take you by surprise.
Abe: What the hell? What are you doing?
Marlena: Then I shot him. I killed Abe Carver.
Marlena: Abe... was my first. My first victim.
Lexie: How could you do it?
Hope: Let her continue, Lex. Lex, Lex, Lex, Lex. Lex...it's okay.
Bo: Go on, Marlena. Tell us what happened next.
Marlena: Well, I had the gun pointed right at Abe. Just as I was about to pull the trigger, Abe said something.
Abe: Tell Theo and Lexie how much I love them.
Bonnie: I'm so sorry, Mickey. This must be so hard on you.
Mickey: Well, it just --
Julie: Uncle Mickey.
Mickey: Hmm?
Julie: Let me get you some tea.
Patrick: You don't need to be here, Mom. Mickey's got Julie to take care of him.
Bonnie: Mickey needs me, and I'm not going to let that snob Julie freeze me out. You, on the other hand, you need to be here for Jennifer.
Patrick: There's a big difference, Mom, between you and me. I'm not trying to scam Jennifer. I really am here to support her. I care about her.
Bonnie: Well, I care about Mickey. Just because he's my meal ticket doesn't mean I can't care about him. I do. And it's time you admitted your feelings for Jennifer.
Jennifer: Did I just hear my name?
Patrick: Yeah. Um, we're all kinda worried about you and the baby.
Bonnie: Yeah.
Jennifer: I'm fine. I've been working on those breathing exercises that you showed me. I just can't stop thinking about Lexie and the horrible pain she must be going through right now.
Patrick: Yeah, it's gotta be tough.
Jennifer: Yeah, and I know it's my turn next.
Bo: You may continue, Marlena.
Marlena: Abe was wearing a bulletproof vest. He told me that. So I had to... I had to aim very carefully.
Abe: Why? Marlena... why?
Marlena: And then I left. I mean, I left him there to die.
Lexie: That was my husband, the father of my child. Why did you have to kill him? How could you do it? He -- he was such a good man, Hope. Why?
Bo: Lexie, we'll get to the motives later. Right now I want you to confess to all the murders.
Belle: It's all going to get so much worse from here. How are we all going to get through this?
Sami: Lucas, we're not a couple. Isn't that what we agreed?
Lucas: Wait a minute. Sami --
Sami: And my Mom is not going to confess because she didn't do anything wrong.
Lucas: All right, all right, all right, we don't -- we don't have to talk about Marlena anymore. It's all right. But I think we do need to take some responsibility, you know, for our son and... as two adults in a relationship. I mean, we are in a relationship, right? Sami, we made love, and I didn't regret that one bit, did you?
Lucas: Look, I know you felt something.
Sami: Lucas, I know what you're trying to do. Just forget it!
Lucas: Wait a minute. Ms. McGee, will you bring that to the front please?
Lucas: Sami, I know why you're doing this.
Sami: Doing what?
Lucas: Why you're pushing me away. Because you're worried about your mom. I understand that. You're -- you're going through a terrible thing right now. And you yourself -- you've been on death row, and if your own mother ends up there, then I --
Sami: No. Lucas, why do you keep saying that? Okay, my Mother is not going to go to death row. She's not the killer.
Lucas: Sami, please.
Mickey: I a afraid your mother has already put an end to that, Sami. She, uh, has admitted killing Abe, and she is ready to confess to the other murders. It's over, Sami.
Sami: No. Okay, no, it isn't over. John is framing my Mom. It's a setup. It has to be. I have to make sure that my Mother does not go to jail for crimes she didn't commit.
Lucas: Sami. Sami!
Julie: God, poor Lucas to be mixed up with this family just now...
Bonnie: You know, it's really none of your business. When two people are meant to be together, there's nothing you can do to stop it. Right, Mickey?
Mickey: Now, why don't -- why don't we just go in here to the chapel and offer some prayers for the victims and their families, shall we?
Julie: Uncle Mickey, that's a wonderful idea. I want to say a prayer for Jennifer and the baby -- that God keeps them safe tonight.
Mickey: So do I.
Julie: Okay.
Mickey: Shall we? Let's go.
Patrick: Are you sure you're going to be all right?
Jennifer: Yeah. Uh, it's really sweet of you to be so concerned.
Patrick: I'll be right back.
Jennifer: Lex. Oh, come here. Did she confess to killing Abe?
Lexie: Yeah.
Jennifer: Lex, I'm so sorry. Sit down, okay? Sit down. Is there anything I can do?
Lexie: Oh, Jennifer... I wanted so badly to know the truth. For months, I've wanted to know exactly what happened, how Abe was killed. I had no idea it would be this devastating. Honey, please don't go through with this to hear about Jack's murder firsthand from his cold-blooded killer. It just might be too much for you to handle in your condition.
Jennifer: You know, Lexie, I appreciate your concern. I do.
Lexie: Yes, I am very concerned about you, Jennifer, as your friend and as your doctor. Honey, please, just -- just think about the baby.
Jennifer: Lexie, of all people, you have got to understand. I have to know. I have to know how Jack died and why.
Lexie: But we still don't know why.
John: The woman I love is not a heartless killer. I know that. Got to be a reason for all this, and I'm going to find out what it is.
Bo: There you have it. Marlena is the one who killed Abe. She's also the one who attacked us at the fashion show.
Hope: I can't believe it. I can't believe Marlena wanted us dead.
Bo: She's a vicious killer. She deserves the death chamber.
Lexie: Hi.
Tek: I'm so sorry about all this. Can I take you to the cafe, get you a little ice cream or... maybe a little comfort food, something like that?
Lexie: Okay. Okay, yeah, yeah. I do need to get away for a bit. I can get one of the doctors to cover for me.
Tek: Okay.
Lexie: Jennifer... are you going to be okay, or do you need me to stay with you?
Jennifer: No, I am fine, and you're right -- you need to get out of here for a little while.
Lexie: Okay. I'll be back, okay?
Jennifer: Yeah, okay.
Bo: Marlena?
Marlena: Hmm? What? Oh. Oh, I'm sorry. I must have dozed off.
Bo: Can we continue?
Marlena: Um, sure. Sorry, sorry.
Bo: Did you kill Jack Deveraux?
Marlena: Oh. Oh, yes, I did. Jennifer, did you want to hear his last words?
Lucas: Listen... I know you don't believe that your mother is guilty, Sami. I know that. I'd feel the same way if my Mother was going through this, but...
Sami: You know what? I think that your mother is the killer. She's been spending all that time with John Black lately, and I happen to know that he's guilty. I just have to prove it. Lucas, how are you going to feel when your mom is on death row?
Lexie: Sami!
Sami: Oh, God.
Lexie: Would you stop it, face the truth for once in your life, stop blaming everybody else? You have to accept the fact that your mother is the serial killer. I heard it from her own mouth. She killed Abe. She shot him at point-blank range and left him to die. Your mother confessed to me without even a hint of remorse. She's even more of a monster than you are.
Julie: Jennifer is with Marlena now, so you'll be going in next to hear about Maggie. Are you sure you're ready?
Julie: Uncle Mickey?
Maggie: My dearest Mickey, I love you so much. Are you all right?
Julie: Uncle Mickey? Are you all right?
Mickey: Uh, yes, I-I will be when this is all over.
Bonnie: Julie's all over Mickey like fleas on a hound dog. It's pathetic. Well, did you?
Patrick: Did I what?
Bonnie: Take my advice. Did you tell Jennifer how much you care about her?
Patrick: I know better than to take your advice about the opposite sex.
Bonnie: Ha ha. Your loss. I got a lot of miles logged in with the opposite gender. And right now, I got a man named Mickey in my sights. If you're not careful, you're going to miss your golden opportunity with that girl.
Bo: Marlena, I want you to tell me everything you remember about killing Jack.
Marlena: Jack was cutting through the alley behind Salem place, so it was really easy to sneak up on him.
Jack: Wait a minute. Doggone it, this... stupid watch stopped working...
Marlena: Little did Jack know that time was running out for him.
Jack: I sure hope it doesn't make me late for Jennifer. Ooh!
Marlena: He never even knew what hit him. I just felt this freedom, you know? I'd -- I'd -- I'd killed twice, and -- and, um... nobody ever would suspect that it was me. Gotcha, Jack. What is it? You're trying to say something? Aw, spit it out. From the looks of things, you don't have too long to live.
Jennifer: What'd he say? Tell me.
Marlena: He said, "Jennifer's waiting for me. I can't be late." So I said to him, "your little Jennifer is just going to have a long wait. She's going to have to wait until hell freezes over."
Jennifer: Oh, my God. No! No!
Bo: Jennifer.
Jennifer: No! No!
Bo: Jen, Jen, easy, easy.
Jennifer: No! No!
Hope: Jen, Jenny, Jenny, Jen.
Jennifer: You killed my husband!
Bo: Jen, Jen.
Sami: Wait, listen to me. She's being framed. This is all John and Kate's fault.
Lucas: Stop it, Sami. This isn't helping.
Judge: That's enough! I am not going to stand for this. This may not be a court of law, but I refuse to put up with interruptions like this.
Sami: But you don't know the whole story, okay? My Mom is being framed. She's being set up for mur--
Judge: What you don't seem to understand, young lady, is that your mother has already confessed to two of the murders.
Sami: What? No. No, that can't be. What -- Belle, Belle, why are you just standing there? Why aren't you defending our Mother? What is wrong with you?
Belle: I heard her, Sami. She confessed.
Sami: What? No. No.
Belle: I heard everything she said. She admitted to being the serial killer. She can't lie. They gave her truth serum.
Sami: Look, Uncle Bo and Aunt Hope want to send Mom to the death chamber. Obviously, you've already made your choice between our Mother and your precious little boyfriend.
John: Sami, knock it off.
Sami: No, you knock it off, John. You're clearly the murderer!
John: Take it outside. It doesn't belong here. Go on.
Sami: Oh, you --
Bo: Hold on a second. Hold on a second. She should stay here, listen to her mother confess with her own ears. You can stay. Not a peep out of you. Hope, is Mickey here yet?
Hope: I'll get him. Come on, Jen.
Hope: I just want to make sure that you and the baby are okay.
Mickey: Are you all right, Jennifer?
Julie: How are you feeling, sweetheart?
Jennifer: I'm fine. I just -- I need a little time, that's all.
Julie: Honey, I think you should lie down.
Jennifer: I'm fine. At least I now know exactly what happened to my husband.
Hope: Uncle Mickey, if you're ready, Bo's going to start again.
Mickey: I guess I'm as ready as I'll ever be.
Julie: I'll be right here.
Mickey: All right.
Bonnie: So will I.
Mickey: All right. Excuse me.
Lucas: Hey.
Bo: Come on in.
Hope: Okay, Bo.
Bo: You all right?
Mickey: Yes.
Bo: Okay, Marlena. Murder number three -- Maggie Horton.
Lexie: Tek...
Tek: Yeah?
Lexie: Abe would have been proud of you.
Tek: How so?
Lexie: You were the first cop to ever seriously suspect Marlena as the serial killer.
Tek: Well, I didn't know Abe that well, but, uh, I sure respected him. I know how much you and your son meant to him.
Lexie: [Sniffs] Ahh. Oh. I'm sorry.
Tek: It's all right.
Lexie: I'm going to go inside and say a prayer for Abe. Would you excuse me?
Tek: All right. I'll wait right here for you.
Lexie: Oh, Abe... no matter how many times I say goodbye to you, I can never let you go.
Lexie: Abe?
Abe: I have a message for you. Myself. I'm so happy I went to Camp Shane.
Patrick: Does the fresh air feel better?
Jennifer: Yeah, it does. Thank you.
Patrick: How are you feeling?
Jennifer: I don't know. I don't know how I'm feeling. I don't know what I'm feeling. I just -- I think I just feel numb, that's all. You know, Lexie was right. Just hearing those words coming from Marlena about how she killed Jack. I -- I felt like I was there. I felt like I could see it happening, and I was powerless to do anything. I'm sorry.
Patrick: No, no, don't be sorry.
Jennifer: And when I had to make that horrible decision to take Jack off life support, Abby blamed me, and now I know why.
Patrick: Why?
Jennifer: I blame myself. I blame myself for not being able to protect Jack, for not being able to warn him. Oh. Oh, gosh. Oh, my baby. Oh.
Lexie: Oh, Abe. You have a message for me?
Abe: You've been through a terrible ordeal. I know.
Lexie: It's been horrible, hearing our closest friend Marlena talk about how she killed you.
Abe: I know how horrible it was for you to lose me, to see all the other victims killed. You had no choice but to remain strong, not only as a doctor for your patients but as a mother to Theo.
Lexie: What are you trying to tell me?
Abe: It's time for you to move on, Lexie. You have my permission and my blessing.
Lexie: Abe... I-I can't let you go.
Abe: You will always love me in your heart, but it's time for you to... make room for someone else. You're ready, and I will always... always love you, Lexie.
Tek: Lexie. You ready?
Lexie: Yeah. Y-yeah, I-I think so. [Pager beeps]
Lexie: There's an emergency.
Bo: Okay, Marlena, last Halloween -- the night Maggie Horton was brutally murdered in her own home.
Marlena: Oh. Yes, uh, um... I did that. I killed her. I-I killed Maggie.
Bo: I need you to tell me everything you remember about that night.
Marlena: It was just so easy. You know, Maggie is -- well, she's pretty gullible. I mean, it was like leading a lamb to the slaughter.
Lucas: Now do you believe it? I'm sorry, Sami, but your mother's a cold-blooded killer.
Lexie: I'm going to set up an emergency sonogram.
Patrick: There was no warning or anything. She just fainted, like that.
Lexie: Well, it's no wonder. Her blood pressure's through the roof.
Jennifer: Lexie, what about my baby? Is my baby going to be okay?
Lexie: We're going to take a look right now, Jennifer.
Patrick: I think I'd better wait outside.
Jennifer: No. You need to stay here. Uhh. I've just been having these cramps, Lexie, but I can't be in labor, right? Because it's still too soon.
Lexie: Um... I'll be right back, okay? I just need to go and get your chart, hmm?
Jennifer: Oh, gosh. Now I'm real scared.
Patrick: Uh, I have something that might help.
Jennifer: I thought you lost that.
Patrick: Yeah, I thought I did, too. I found it in my jacket. I guess it kind of slipped through the seams of one of my pockets.
Jennifer: I'm really glad that you found that.
Patrick: Well... this coin helped you once before, and I thought it might do the trick again. For luck.
Jennifer: I think that I am really lucky to have you in my life.
Marlena: I couldn't believe how easy it was to fool Maggie. What a sap.
Maggie: Oh, hurry up and come in before we both blow away. Mickey is going to be -- he's going to have a conniption because I deactivated the alarm to let you in, but it's just not my nature to live in fear. I don't care what anybody says. The killer cannot be anyone I know. It's just not possible. The killer can't get in now. It's just you and me.
Marlena: Oh. Just you and me. Safe and secure. Good to know that nobody can hurt you.
Mickey: Let me go. But you did hurt her, didn't you? My sweet Maggie. She trusted you with her life, and you took it from her.
Bo: Maggie was seeing you as a therapist. You were helping her recover a repressed memory -- her memory of the killer's identity.
Marlena: Well, I-I couldn't very well let her remember that it was me. Maggie saw me, saw my eyes when I killed Abe. And... the eyes tell everything. They are the windows to the soul.
Maggie: Aah!
Marlena: I knew I had to finish the job, and I must say, I thought my choice of weapon -- I thought that was inspired.
Maggie: Your eyes... oh. Oh, my God. It's you. Oh.
Bo: After you bludgeoned Maggie, you went after Mickey and Officer Kent?
Marlena: Mm-hmm.
Mickey: Damn you. I wish I had killed you when I had the chance.
Hope: Mickey.
Mickey: I'll be all right.
Shawn-D: Take a deep breath, all right? You're going to be all right.
Lucas: Now don't you believe it? Your mother is guilty, Sami.
Sami: No, no. Mom, Mom, you tell them it's not true, Mom. Tell them you're not the killer, Mom. Please tell them you're innocent. Tell them.
Belle: Shawn, I'm so sorry. I never should have lied to you about being my Mother's alibi. Can you ever forgive me?
Jennifer: I just realized something.
Patrick: What's that?
Jennifer: I haven't had a cramp in a while. May-- maybe I'm not in labor. Patrick, this thing really works.
Patrick: Yeah, yeah.
Jennifer: Hey.
Lexie: Hi. Seems like you're feeling better.
Jennifer: Lexie, I -- I haven't had a cramp in a while.
Lexie: Oh, good. Good. Well, since the contractions don't appear to be regular, it may have just been Braxton Hicks.
Patrick: What's that?
Jennifer: That's, um, false labor.
Lexie: It can sometimes be brought on by stress, and I'd say you've had a bit of that tonight, hmm?
Jennifer: Yeah.
Lexie: Mm-hmm.
Jennifer: So, I'm -- I'm out of danger, right, Lex?
Lexie: Yeah. But, Jennifer, the best thing for you to do right now is go home and get some rest. We've both been through quite an ordeal tonight, hmm? I think we could both use a little down time.
Jennifer: Yeah. You're right. Thanks, Lex.
Lexie: You just take good care of yourself, all right?
Jennifer: You too.
Lexie: Bye, Patrick.
Tek: Are you ready for that ice cream?
Lexie: Oh, uh, Tek, thank you so much, but, um... can I take a rain check?
Tek: You bet.
Sami: Mom, tell them the truth. Why are you saying these things?
John: Samantha. You're not making this any easier on your mother. I know she confessed, but there's got to be a reason, something that will explain this all.
Sami: Oh, you pretend to be all concerned and grieving. I see right through your little act. This is turning out exactly the way you wanted. They're going to send my Mom to death row for the murders that you committed.
Shawn-D: Hold on a second. All the other victims were close relatives of mine. After your mom confesses to killing them... this is exactly what we were afraid of, and I'm sorry. I just don't know how I'm going to feel about you or... our relationship.
Hope: How could she do it? Why did she do it? Why?
Rex: I thought you always told me the truth, Mimi. Maybe I can't trust you after all.
Marlena: I'll tell you the whole story, but you're not going to like it.
Shawn-D: Oh, Grandma.
Sami: God, Mom, it can't be true.
Kate: If you killed my daughter Cassie, what's to stop me from killing your daughter Sami?
