Lexie: Oh, Jennifer, come on in.

Jennifer: Hi, Lexie. I'm, uh, I'm sorry to just drop by like this. I just needed to get out of the house. Abby's spending the night at Jo and Vern's, and... I just heard about Cassie Dimera being killed. Lexie, that poor girl.

Lexie: I know. I know.

Jennifer: You know what the worst part about all of this is? Is I don't even have Jack to talk to.

Lexie: Yeah. I was just thinking how Abe would comfort me. He would make me believe that, even with all these horrible things happening, everything was going to be okay.

Jennifer: But it’s never going to be okay, is it?

Celeste: I know what I must do.

[ Fire crackling ]

Brady: To hell with my Grandfather, Nicole. I don't care about him, Chloe or anybody else. All I care about is you. I want you, Nicole, and I want to make love to you right here, right now.

Nicole: It's not going to work, Victor. If you think bringing Chloe Lane back is going to stop me from snagging your Grandson for myself, well...

Victor: Then you got another think coming, Nicole.

Bo: Hey, you’re home.

Hope: Yeah, I dropped Zack off at Gran's, and then I came looking for you. Shawn told me they booked Kate for Cassie's murder.

Bo: Yeah. I hope she didn't do it. For Roman's sake. I mean, if Kate is responsible for Cassie's murder and the others, my Brother's life is going to be over.

Roman: I know you didn't kill our Daughter, Kate. And I'll prove it. I'm gonna clear your name if it's the last thing I do.

John: Here you go.

Marlena: Oh, honey, I've never seen him like this. Letting his feelings get in the way of justice.

John: You think Kate is guilty?

Marlena: I don't know what to think. Right now anybody could be the killer.

Celeste: Why did Caroline have to burden me with this horrible message? Why did she have to tell me that John was going to murder his wife?

Sami: What did you just say?

Lexie: Theo's first Thanksgiving -- not a very happy one.

Jennifer: Lexie, do you really think that he senses that...

Lexie: That his Daddy's gone? Yeah. He wakes up in the middle of the night, crying. I think he's waiting for his Daddy to come home.

Jennifer: Yeah. I mean, of course he is. You know, Abby still believes that Jack would've survived if I hadn't been in such a hurry to end his life.

Lexie: Oh, Jennifer...

Jennifer: I mean, Lexie, how can -- how can she think that? How can my own Daughter think so little of me?

Lexie: She doesn’t. She's just hurting, that's all. She will heal, in time.

Jennifer: It's the time part that scares me so much.

Lexie: What do you mean?

Jennifer: It's just, uh, Jack's memory -- Lexie, I am so afraid that Jack's presence is just slipping away from me.

Lexie: Oh, sweetie...

Sami: What did you just say about my Mother and John?

Celeste: Your Grandmother spoke to me, Samantha, after her death.

Sami: Wait a second -- my Grandmother? You mean, like a ghost?

Celeste: And she told me something very disturbing, but I'd rather not say more than that.

Sami: Wait a second. This is my family we're talking about, Celeste. If my Grandmother went to the effort of speaking out from beyond the grave, she didn't intend for what she told you to be kept a secret. Spit it out. Just tell me what she said.

Celeste: Fine. All right. Your Grandmother told me that John is going to kill your Mother.

Sami: Wait, come here, come here, Celeste. Celeste, you have to tell my Mother. Tell my Mother exactly what you just told me. You have to tell her!

Celeste: What is wrong with you?

Marlena: What is going on?

Sami: Mom, remember how Rex said that you were going to die? Well, Celeste, come on, spit it out, tell them everything.

Celeste: I can’t. It's not my place.

Sami: If you don't tell them, I will.

Roman: What's going on here?

Sami: Dad, make her talk.

Roman: Talk about what?

Sami: Remember how Rex said that Mom was going to die? He said that she was going to be one of the victims of the killer. Well, come on --

Roman: Yeah?

Sami: Celeste had this sort of seance moment with Grandma.

Marlena: What are you saying to my Daughter?

Celeste: It was a mistake. I shouldn't have said anything.

Sami: You all know that Celeste has these weird powers, right? I mean, Grandma spoke to her from beyond the grave, and she told her who else is going to die and who is going to kill. Come on, Celeste, don't you think they have a right to know?

Celeste: It won't help anything, Samantha. It will only make matters worse.

Sami: No. If you don't have the guts to tell them, then I will. Mom, Grandma said that you're going to die. And it gets worse.

Marlena: It gets worse?

Sami: He's going to do it. Yep -- your loving Husband is going to murder you.

Nicole: Cassie's dead?

Victor: Stabbed to death and stuffed into a giant turkey-shaped pinata at Salem Place. I'm sure the sight of her body falling to the ground is one those children will never forget. Good work, Nicole.

Nicole: Wha-- I didn't do it. I could never do anything so disgusting and violent.

Victor: You're capable of anything.

Nicole: Oh, you're one to talk! I mean, you've sunk to new lows, bringing that no-talent lounge act back to Salem. Ooh! Well, big deal.

Victor: If you're talking about Chloe Lane, it is a big deal. I'm still working out the legalities, but before I'm done, it's going to cost me a small fortune. But you know what? It's worth it if it's going to keep my Grandson away from my murdering, gold-digging slut of a Wife.

Nicole: You are making a mistake.

Victor: No? How so?

Nicole: You assume that Brady's just going to fall back into Chloe's arms. Well, you know, maybe he'd prefer to never see her again. Did that ever cross your mind?

Victor: No. Because I, unlike you, know the power of true love.

Nicole: True love, my ass. Brady had a crush on her, and then he realized what an annoying bitch she is and sent her away. He's over her. Been there, done that.

Victor: Well, how about if we have a little test then, huh?

Nicole: What are you doing?

Victor: Just watch this.

[ Chloe singing opera music ]

[ Music continues ]

Victor: You see the look on his face? That's a man in love.

Hope: Okay, turn it off.

Bo: This is the e-mail Cassie sent her brother right before she was killed.

Hope: I know, and you've looked at it about a million times. How about we take a little break? What do you say?

Bo: Not yet.

Hope: Yeah. Now.

Bo: Hope, don’t. Come on.

Hope: There we go. We're shutting down. Perfect.

Bo: Why are you doing that?

Hope: Have some stew.

Bo: What is it?

Hope: Well, it was an easy recipe, and I followed it.

Bo: You did?

Hope: Well, I know, I know. I'm not the greatest chef in the world, but I can read, I'll t tell you that. Come on, let's eat.

Bo: Looks great. Thanks, Hope. I appreciate it.

Hope: Whenever we make your Mom's -- one of your Mom's famous recipes here -- it'll be like her spirit is with us. Although, it always is, isn't it?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: And I promise you, I will always try to do justice to your Mother's recipes by adding that one very special ingredient she never forgot.

Bo: And what's that?

Hope: A whole lot of love.

Bo: You got that right. Mmm. Tasty.

Hope: I didn't do too bad, did I?

Marlena: Samantha Jean, that is a terrible thing to say.

Sami: But I didn't say it, Mom. Celeste did.

Celeste: I didn't want anyone to know.

Sami: Well, the cat's out of the bag now when Grandma told our psychic friend here that John is going to kill his adoring Wife.

Celeste: I'm so sorry.

John: Not half as sorry as we are, Celeste. You've been going around for months scaring the hell out everybody.

Celeste: I just don’t get it.

John: No, honey, I don't get it. You act all sad and appalled by your dire predictions, but are you?

Celeste: I am more than saddened --

John: Don't say that because you’re always glad to bring sad news to anyone who’s willing to listen!

Celeste: I have been given a gift to bring news to people who are not made to hear it for themselves--

John: Oh shut up about your stupid powers! I don’t belie--

Marlena: Both of you stop right now. Samantha, I want to speak to you alone. Right now.

John: You know, Celeste, you've been on the mark a couple times with these...vibes of yours. But this time, your aim is way off-base.

Celeste: I am sorry, John. Please forgive me. I'll go now.

Celeste: Abraham. I feel your presence. Are you near?

Marlena: I am so embarrassed, not to mention horrified. How dare you walk in here and accuse my Husb-- Sami... what's happened to you?

Sami: What's happened to me? I'm not the one planning to kill you.

Marlena: Oh, here I am, a psychiatrist, and I am in such denial. I will not let myself believe there is something so deeply wrong with you.

Sami: If you have to turn this around on me so that you feel better about your Husband --

Marlena: I don't need to feel better about my Husband. I am deeply in love with my Husband.

Sami: Do what you have to do. All I did was repeat what Celeste said.

Marlena: All you did was walk in here and try to drive a wedge between your Stepfather and myself. And, little girl, that won't work. We love each other. We are committed to each other, and we will spend the rest of our lives together.

Sami: Or until he murders you in cold blood.

Celeste: Abraham... I sensed it. You are here.

Celeste: Oh, Abraham, I'm so glad you came to me. And I'm hoping you'll help me out. Hoping that you'll do something for me.

Jennifer: I just -- I want so much to hold onto Jack's presence. And I don't know how. I just -- I feel like he's slipping away from me.

Lexie: No. No no. Hey, look Jack is still with you. You said it yourself. He's right here in your heart. That'll never change. You know, uh, when I feel like I'm about to, uh, go crazy, I think about Abe and how he would do anything for me and tell me that everything was going to be all right. That gives me strength, Jennifer, knowing that Abe wants me to get more strength and believes in me.

Jenni I know, you're right I know that jack and Abe- they want us to be strong. I know that they would want us to get right through this, Lexie.

Lexie: Hmm. And they're here with us , Jennifer -- our Husbands. I feel them very near.

Jennifer: [ Gasps ]

Marlena: Oh, Sami. Your motives are so transparent. You want to use celeste's bizarre behavior to further your own agenda.

Sami: Mom, I hate it when you shrink me.

Marlena: Well, somebody had to start doing it. Sami you have a sick obsession with breaking up John and me and having your Father and I get back together. And it's not going to happen. Well, I could understand this if you were still, I don't know, 5 years old, but you’re not. You are a grown woman now. You worry about your own family, your own life, and getting some serious psychiatric help, for Heaven's sake!

Sami: Psychiatric help? Why? Why, because I don't want my Mom to die? Because -- is that some neurosis now -- not wanting your own Mother to be brutally murdered?

Marlena: You're out to get John. We know that, Sami. I don't get it. He raised you. He adored you. He did all that he could to give you a good start in life.

Sami: A good start? What, are you kidding? He ruined my life. He broke up my family, he took you away from my Dad.

Marlena: Oh, stop that, Sami! Stop it!

Sami: It's the truth, damn it! It's because of John that I have no self-confidence, and it's because of John that my whole life is a freaking mess. And let me tell you, if you hadn't been so quick to spread your legs for him --

Marlena: [ Gasps ]

[ Chloe singing opera music ]

Brady: Granddad, why is that song playing?

Victor: Oh, it, uh, it was sent to me by the director of the Kiriakis Arts Foundation. Sort of a thank-you for a contribution that I made to Madam Marin's Opera Company. Listen to her. Certainly come a long way, hasn't she? Extraordinary. Well, if you two will excuse me, I, uh, have some phone calls to make.

[ Music continues ]

Brady: She does have an amazing voice, doesn't she?

Nicole: Yeah. Too bad her career is going down the toilet.

Brady: What do you mean by that?

Marlena: Sami.

Sami: [ Sobbing ]

Marlena: Sami, wait a minute.

John: What happened?

Marlena: Just wait a minute.

Roman: Why is she crying?

Marlena: I'm worried about her, Roman. She needs psychiatric help.

Roman: All right, I'll go check on her. Sami, what's going on?

Sami: Dad, Dad, I'm sorry, okay? But, I swear, all I'm trying to do is save Mom's life.

Roman: What, by listening to the ravings of a crazy woman?

Sami: She's not crazy. Dad, she's been right about everything so far. She predicted Abe's death and Jack's and Maggie's and even Grandma's.

Roman: Grandma did not pop out of her coffin and talk to Celeste.

Sami: All right, be skeptical if you want, but when Mom is found with John's hands wrapped around her throat, I will remind you that you were warned, and you could've done something to stop it.

Roman: What the hell do you want me to do -- arrest John? For what? For what?

Sami: For Abe's murder and Jack's murder and Maggie's and Grandma's and Cassie's! Arrest him before Mom is his next victim!

John: Your Mother's not my next victim, Sami. You are.

Sami: Did you hear that, Dad? He threatened me. I want to press charges. You have to arrest him before he stabs me. Stay away from me! Mom, you can't let him do this.

Marlena: Sami, you have a history of lying and manipulating. Every time you get involved in somebody's life, the consequences are disastrous. John has a very different history. He has always loved and protected me. That's how I know I can trust him. That's how I know your accusations are wrong

Sami: They're not my accusations, Mom. They're Celeste's visions.

Marlena: Then her visions are wrong, Sami.

Sami: But she hasn't been wrong yet.

Marlena: Okay, well, this conversation has come full circle. Now, I see no need to continue it. Yes, Celeste’s predictions have been right so far but this one is way too out of this world! John loves me, Belle, you Sami, our family, I----

Sami: I thought you didn't want to continue.

Marlena: Sami, this family is in crisis. It's a time to stand together, not divide and conquer. I think you’d be happier if you could see that I do have someone who loves me and protects me -- someone who protects all of us.

Sami: That's fine, but once John moves in, you can go.

Sami: No. Dad. Dad, please listen to me. They won’t listen to me.

Roman: Damn it, that's enough! That’s enough! Just shut up!

Sami: Dad, please --

Roman: Shut up!

Sami: Dad --

Roman: They're right about everything. John is right, your Mom is right, and you, Sami, are wrong. Wrong!

Lexie: What could make the front door open like that -- the wind?

Jennifer: I don't know, Lexie, but the lights were flickering, too.

Lexie: Yeah. I could've sworn I locked the door when I let you in.

Jennifer: Do you think --

Lexie: No, I don't know what to think, except I have a very uncomfortable feeling standing out here right now.

Jennifer: Yeah, me too.

Lexie: Let's go back inside, okay?

Jennifer: Wait, Lexie! Someone's pulling up. Who is that?

Lexie: I don't know.

Jennifer: Are you expecting someone? Do you recognize that car?

Lexie: I can't see it.

Celeste: Alexandra. The most amazing thing has happened, but we can't talk about it out there, darling. Come in, close the door. Lock it, bolt it.

Lexie: What's going on?

Jennifer: What's going on? Why are you shaking like that?

Celeste: No, darling, I'm all right. But I would like to, uh, have some time alone with my Daughter, please.

Jennifer: Uh, yeah, of course, I understand.

[ Theo crying ]

Lexie: Oh, I've got to take care of Theo.

Jennifer: All right, I'll talk to you soon.

Lexie: Bye, sweetie.

Celeste: Um, Jennifer, darling, are you all right?

Jennifer: Celeste, I don't know what is going on. Before you got here, the strangest thing happened. The door flew open, and the lights were flickering, and -- and Lexie and I -- we were talking about our Husbands. We were talking about how much we miss them, and then Lexie said that she could feel them near us. And then... I gotta go.

Celeste: But don't be troubled now, Jennifer. And, darling, don't feel alone, because you're not.

Lexie: Theo's binky popped out of his mouth, but he's gone back to sleep.

Celeste: Darling, Jennifer was just telling me that the two of you were wanting to feel closer to your Husbands, yes?

Lexie: Yeah, we were just talking about them and... how lonely we're feeling.

Celeste: It takes faith, darling. That's all. Just believe that Abraham is here with you. You know, love doesn't die when the body dies.

Lexie: I want to believe that, Mom, but --

Celeste: Honey, did you and Abraham have a special song?

Lexie: Yeah. We did. Why?

Celeste: Could you find it for me?

Lexie: Sure.

Lexie: I haven't played this since...

Celeste: Hey, play it for me now. Oh, darling...

Lexie: I can't, I can’t.

Celeste: Oh. Trust me. Alexandra, trust me, darling.

Celeste: All right, take my hand.

[ Music playing ]

Lexie: What are you doing?

Celeste: Take my hand.

Lexie: [ Gasps ]

[ Gasps ]

Celeste: Don't let go. Hold on. Trust...believe.

Lexie: Oh. I can't believe this. This can't be happening.

Abe: I'm back.

Brady: Nicole...what are you talking about? What the hell do you know about Chloe's career?

Nicole: Not much. Just that it’s over.

Brady: And how do you know that?

Nicole: It has to do with your Grandfather.

Brady: What does my Grandfather have to do with Chloe?

Nicole: He’s arranging for her return to Salem.

Brady: What? No -- no, that's impossible. She still has several years left on her contract with Madam Marin.

Nicole: Yes...but you did both know that when Victor wants something, he’ll get it...and he wants Chloe back in Salem pronto. Look, I wasn't going to say anything because it's not my place, it’s just I hate to see your life manipulated this way.

Brady: I'm going put a stop to this here and now. There's no way my Grandfather is playing God with my life or Chloe’s.

Nicole: Mission accomplished.

Hope: Now what are you doing?

Bo: I'm looking over all the suspects' actions and location in the time line of each of the murders.

Hope: Bo, it's late...come on. You're not going to catch the killer tonight.

Bo: Hope, if I could get passed this I gotta try. That maniac could off somebody at any time, and I can't let that happen.

Hope: Okay. I’ll put the coffee on.

Bo: All right, thank you. Oh and Hope...

Hope: Yeah?

Bo: Thanks for dinner. Mom would've been proud.

Lexie: Abe... is it really you?

Abe: Death may have separated us, but my spirit is right here by your side.

Lexie: Oh, sweetheart...I missed you so much. I can't stand it.

Abe: Oh, yes, you can, yes, you can. I've watched you give Theo so much love and tenderness. You've been such a blessing to your friends and your family.

Lexie: You said --you said you've been close to me, that your spirt has been here by my side?

Lexie: If that's all we have for a future, that’s all I need for me, as long as I have a part of you, Abe. As long as your presence is with me...I know I can go on.

Sami: Dad, wait a second. I have to get you on my side about this, or there is no hope. I have to make you see that Mom is in terrible danger. John has to be stopped --

Roman: Listen to me, okay? When you’ve got some shred of evidence against him...we'll talk. Until that time, case closed. Understood?

Sami: Dad, Dad, I know exactly how to convince you that he is the killer.

Lexie: You were taken away from me too soon...you had too much to live for Abe.

Abe: I have to go.

Lexie: Do you -- do you know who killed you? Did you see them?

Abe: Yes.

Lexie: Who was it?

Abe: I can't tell you that.

Lexie: What do you mean? What do you mean? You have to tell me. That's why you appeared, isn't? So justice could be done?

Abe: I came to say goodbye.

Lexie: Abe, honey, if you can't tell me who did this...this person could kill again. There already have been four murders since you were killed.

Abe: I know and my heart goes to everyone who’s lost a loved one.

Lexie: Are more going to die?

Abe: I can't tell you anything...except that I love you.

Lexie: Will I ever see you again?

Abe: You'll see me whenever you look into our Son's eyes. Your memory of me will never fade.

Lexie: Don't go. Don't go. Not yet. I-I don't want this bond to end.

Abe: Just dance with me...Luther Vandross.

Victor: That's all for now, Thomas. Get those figures to me in the morning and double-check every inch. I don’t want anymore mistakes..

Brady: I need to know.

Victor: You seem agitated, Brady. Is something wrong?

Brady: You’re pulling strings behind my back.

Victor: I'm not pulling anything.

Brady: Then why don’t you tell me? I know what you're planning, Granddad

Victor: Oh, and what's that?

Brady: You're bringing Chloe back to town. You're going rip her away from a successful career and ruin her life? Why?

Nicole: Perfect! I can't wait to see Victor's little plan blow up in his face..

Victor: Just calm down Brady. I’m sure that yo--

[ Cellular phone rings ]

Victor: Hello?

Brady: Get off the phone Victor.

Victor: Give me a moment, please.

Brady: Hang it up

Victor: Well, this is quite a coincidence. It’s Chloe. You want to talk to her?

Jennifer: Oh, Jack. All the candles are out except for one.

Jennifer: This the candle I lit for you by our Daughter, and do you know, it’s something that it would be the only one burning and shining the longest and staying strong in this wind. But it is the only candle left, Jack. Are you slipping away from me? When this candle burns out, are you going to be gone to me forever?

Celeste's voice: You’re not alone, Jennifer.

Jennifer: What did Celeste mean by that, Jack? Are you still close to me?

Jennifer: [ Gasps ] You!

Sami: Dad, let's just start at the beginning. Where was John when Abe was killed.

Roman: He had a pretty damn good alibi. He was with me.

Sami: For every minute of the day?

Roman: He was with everybody in the church waiting for the christening to begin.

Sami: Well, so was Maggie.

Roman: All right, Sami, let's say -- let’s say John could have slipped out of the church for a few moments. You remember what happened after he e died? He put his life on the line.

Sami: Did he? I mean, if he was the killer, what better way to take suspicion away from him?

Roman: Nobody has suspected John.

Sami: Until now. That’s what keeping him going. What about when Jack was killed?

Roman: All right, Sami, you know what? If this keeps you happy, this is what I’m going to do. We're going to check all our statements here.

Sami: Okay.

Roman: All right.

Sami: Well?

Roman: All right, John was at Salem place. He was one of the first people to be arrested e on the scene.

Sami: What about Maggie's death?

Roman: Actually, I have nothing on John at that time.

Sami: This gets more and more interesting.

Roman: No comment.

Sami: Grandma?

Roman: He was at the Pub earlier in the day.

Sami: Uh-huh.

Roman: Let me check Cassie's murder.

Sami: It will be the final nail in his coffin, so to speak.

Roman: He took Doc to the Green Mountain Lodge right off route 1. Of course, at the time Cassie called me saying she knew who the killer was, John could have still been in town.

Sami: He doesn't have a real alibi for any of the murders.

Roman: Nor does he have a real motive.

Sami: Programmed to kill. You flick some switch in his brain, and bang, bang, someone around him is dead. And that's what I think happened, Dad. Someone flicked a switch in his brain, and he reverted back to his old life as a mercenary.

Roman: Sami, you say "bang, bang," so simple. Not all the victims were shot.

Sami: Fine, okay, a knife, the bottle, a brick -- when you're wired for murder, anything and everything is a weapon.

Roman: [ Sighs ] John? Come on. John a killer? Sami, that's just too impossible to believe.

Sami: Is it? All you have to do is believe that Celeste is telling the truth -- that John is going to kill Mom unless we stop him. I know that you still love Mom deep down inside, Dad, and if you have even an ounce of doubt about John, you have got to help me. Dad, we can't let Mom die.

Marlena: I feel like I keep staying in the mile of the same dream. I can’t believe all this is leaning against you. I'm -- oh, man. I'm so sorry. John, I'm so sorry.

John: Hey, don't give it another thought, all right? Mm?

Marlena: Mm.

John: Hmm.

Sami: Mom, be careful. Remember, all of Celeste's premonitions have come true. John's going to kill you.

Marlena: [ Gasps ]

John: What's wrong?

Marlena: Nothing. Nothing. Just hold me. John, please, hold me.

John: That's the easy part. Forever and always.

Victor: I thought if Chloe were back here, even if it were just for a visit, it would make you happy, keep your mind off of other things.
