Days of Our Lives Transcript Thursday 6/12/03--Canada; 6/13/03--USA

By Eric

Bo: Mnh-mnh.

Hope: Brady.

Bo: Hey.

Hope: What are you doing? What are you looking at?

Bo: Our future.

Hope: Our future?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Are you out of your mind?

Bo: No.

Nicole: So...

Larry: Oh, we're in bed together. How do you like it?

Nicole: As long as we have our deal.

Larry: Well, why don't you go out and buy something in black... widow? For our conjugal visit, too. Hmm? It's your color. Of course, you, uh, understand that the only way I can really off your hubby for you is if you get me out of this hellhole.

Nicole: Oh, I'll find a way, and then we'll both be free.

Mimi: We can't keep driving around with a dead guy in the back seat.

Rex: Well, I'm open to suggestions.

Mimi: I know you said you didn't want to, but --

Rex: No -- tony can never find out about this.

Brady: Listen, I know what you mean, but chloe is classically trained. Her voice projects. I don't want to overpower the audience with the sound system, you know?

Man: She said she's turning down that big deal opera gig. What's she going to do, sing at the blue note forever? No offense, bo,, but that doesn't --

Brady: You know what? If chloe wants to stay here in salem, that is up to her, but the music we do here at the blue note is not what she's meant to sing or even interested in. There are no opportunities for chloe here. Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives.

Man: Sorry, we're closed.

Philip: Yeah, I know. I'm here to see brady black.

Man: He's in the office. I'll go get him.

Philip: Thank you.

Brady: Philip.

Philip: Hey.

Brady: I wasn't sure you got my message.

Philip: Yeah. Listen, I got a really busy night, brady, so whatever you need --

Brady: This is not going to take very long. I know you got a date at the pentagon and everything. But this is very important.

Philip: What?

Brady: Chloe's future.

Hope: I don't think I've ever seen anything so big.

Bo: Well, if you're going to do a job, you got to have the right equipment.

Hope: You sure this isn't just some boy toy thing?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: You really think we need it?

Bo: I do.

Hope: I don't know if I could drive it.

Bo: I'll drive it.

Hope: You'll drive? No, no, no, I'll drive.

Bo: Yeah, how come I knew you were going to say that?

Hope: Just don't ask me to parallel park. You know, it's actually kind of cute. I mean, nobody would ever guess that we're transporting dangerous criminals in our stylish hybrid truck.

Bo: All I care about is security and safety, but if you think it's cute and stylish, then I guess all those times I dragged you off to the auto show paid off.

Hope: You know this vehicle won't be our only startup expense. Any idea what the initial outlay will be?

Bo: Yeah, I've done the math, but I think there is a way we can cover these costs without making a huge sacrifice day to day.

Hope: But there will be a sacrifice somewhere.

Bo: Yeah, I'm afraid so.

Larry: Free, free -- I can never be free.

Nicole: What do you mean?

Larry: What happens when I get out of here?

Nicole: I'll take care of you.

Larry: Yeah, until I do the deed, and then?

>>Nicole: Look, no one's sending you back to statesville, okay? You're doing the salem P.D. A favor by getting rid of victor kiriakis. I'll be the rich widow. I'll send you to hawaii, fiji, wherever you want to go.

Larry: By my lonesome?

Nicole: Uh...

Larry: Yeah, uh. Don't make any promises you can't keep, mrs. Kiriakis. You know, if I get to fiji and bo brady awaits, son of the soon-to-be deceased... well, just another personal vendetta for him. Oh, joy. No, I can never have any peace. No. Hell, I can never get away with murder in this town if he knows I'm out.

Nicole: Then he won'T.

Larry: Ha ha ha. You know, you're crazy. Let's just forget the whole thing.

Nicole: Well, I mean it. You don't have any friends or family, right?

Larry: Well, thanks. Whose side are you on?

Nicole: I'll take that as a no. Which means I have a way to make sure that bo and hope and the whole world will never, ever know that you're out there. How about we kill you?

Mimi: I'm sorry. I'm just a little freakeouout right now, and your yelling at me isn't going to make me think any better. I'm trying to help.

Rex: Look, I'm -- I'm sorry.

Mimi: I assume professor putnam has friends or family who might, you know, miss him someday. If his death was an accident -- and it was, you said it was, of course it was -- then we should really go to the police, right? Then again, maybe they wouldn't believe us after we've been cruising around with the body for two hours when we have nothing to hide. Then again, captain brady is your father. Of course, he doesn't know it yet, and you can't stand him, anyway. Not wanting to tell the police is one thing, rex, but tony? If you can't tell me what's really going on, I don't think I can help you anymore. I'm sorry. I just can'T.

Philip: Chloe's future? Oh, god, is she sick again?

Brady: No, no, no. She's doing fine, healthwise.

Philip: Okay, good.

Woman: Hi.

Brady: Hi there. Eva matthews, I'd like you to meet philip kiriakis -- or is it private kiriakis?

Philip: Yeah. Very pleased to meet you.

Eva: Hi.

Brady: We just signed eva to sing for us at the blue note.

Philip: Yeah, I heard you sing the other night. You were terrific.

Eva: Thanks.

Brady: So what can I do for you?

Eva: I just came by to get some music. I-I think I forgot it on the piano.

Brady: Okay.

Eva: Nice meeting you, private.

Philip: You too.

Brady: Nothing to worry about. Chloe's fine.

Philip: Okay.

Eva: Chloe, hi.

Chloe: Hi.

E eva: Why are you sitting here all by... what's wrong?

Chloe: Nothing.

Eva: I've been meaning to congratulate you about that amazing offer from cecilia marin.

Chloe: Thanks.

Eva: It's a lot to think about, huh?

Chloe: Yeah. People keep telling me it's the opportunity of a lifetime, like I'll never have another one.

Eva: Of course you will. But you've only got one chance at this one. It doesn't matter how long you've been doing this. Whenever a gig comes along, you always wonder... if I don take this, if I hold out for something more, if I wait for a better time -- is that it? Will -- will I ever have another chance at this?

Chloe: Are you happy singing here?

Eva: Sure. It's a tradeoff, you know. I used to tour a lot, and now I-I -- I need to settle down, maybe even start family. I wouldn't have wanted that when I was 18. And maybe it's different for you, and that's okay. Your family is here.

Chloe: Well, actually, my dad was just offered a job out of nowhere. They're moving to new york.

Eva: You're kidding.

Chloe: Why should i have to choose the man I love or my dream? I mean, I'm so happy here, and going to europe, training with ms. Marin -- it's all going to be so hard. And what if it doesn't turn out the way I expect it?

Eva: Don't you think if you and brady are really meant to be, he'll be waiting for you whenouou get back?

Chloe: I had a bone marrow transplant to cure my leukemia, and I'm cured, but people don't really realize that that was my best chance, but it doesn't mean for sure that I'm always going to be okay.

Eva: Nobody is, right?

Chloe: Yeah, but your odds are a lot better than mine, and if I only have so much time, why would I want to spend it away from the people that I love?

Eva: Ha ha. Do you want to give up your dream?

Chloe: Of course not.

Eva: Going by that argument, you're never going to leave here, chloe, and that is fine, if that is what you want.

Chloe: No. Brady won't let me. He doesn't believe it's what I want.

Eva: Can you blame him? You don't seem so sure.

Chloe: Shouldn't it be my decision?

Eva: Sure. But if you really love him, you don't want him to be miserable, do you?

Chloe: If he really loves me, why would he want me to go?

[ Sighs ] Because he loves me so much. I know.

Philip: So I heard dr. And mrs. Wesley are moving to new york.

Brady: Yes, they are. It's an awful lot for chloe to handle all at once. Look, philip, I know that you're trying to put what happened between you and chloe behind you. And I don't mean to put you in the middle of it again, but I do know you care about chlo and she needs your help. When you said that I should go to europe with chloe, I thought it was a great idea. I did. But then I realized -- see, being sick, it took something away from chloe -- her confidence. It's like she put everything she had -- all of her fight and all of her energy -- into getting well. And she does not want to do that anymore. When she was in the hospital, the two of us came to understand the most important thing to chloe is her life... and her health.

Philip: And her happiness.

Brady: Yes. Exactly. See, you and I, we've made a lot of mistakes. Did a lot of things that made chloe pretty damn miserable. She is really unhappy with me right now, but I don't think that I'm making a mistake. If there's anything that you can do to convince her to let go and just...

Philip: I don't know if there is. But I'll try, brady. Of course I will. You and I both know her so well. We know how much it means to her to sing, to be her own person, to see the world, and to love. So, uh, of course. I'll do whatever I can to help you help her. G?Ocwogckc';ó/óoo7goóg

Hope: Oh, my -- I-I don't like this, and I don't even know what I don't like yet. I never dreamt it would be this much money.

Bo: We're not gonna have to get a loan.

Hope: We could use my trust fund.

Bo: No, that's for the boys. We're not gonna touch that but we do have a very valuable asset that we could liquidate. We could sell the "fancy face."

Larry: Well, you might be blond, but you're pretty quick.

Nicole: Oh, yeah. I'm quick.

Larry: Yeah. Do you dye?

Nicole: What? No, I'm not dying!

Larry: No, no, not die. Dye -- d-y-E. You're a natural blond, all right. Ahh. Au natural. Oh, baby, I can't wait. Natural-born killer is what I mean. You know, I'm not crazy about the idea of having someone like you faking my death. I mean, what if you've got it in for me?

Nicole: You've never done anything to me.

Larry: Yeah. Well, why don't you just go out and kill this guy yourself?

Nicole: Because victor has a tail on me. I can't even breathe without him knowing it.

Larry: Whoa, whoa, wait. Does he know you're here? Because I don't need victor putting out a contract on me.

Nicole: No, no, no. His bodyguards won't come anywhere near the criminal justice complex here, all right? They're a little bit conspicuous.

Larry: I see.

Nicole: You know, I'm your only chance to get out of here before you die. And you are due for a transfer to m maximum security prison. This is your last chance. You could have your fatal accident during the transfer.

Larry: Okay. Well, then who's gonna die for real?

Nicole: What?

Larry: You're gonna need a body. Where you gonna find a body?

Rex: Okay, professor putnam was keeping a lot of secrets. I-I really don't want to drag you into this, but... okay, he was the one that knew things, all right? Things that he couldn't tell other people, or wouldn'T. One of those people was tony.

Mimi: Wait. He knows -- knew tony?

Rex: I think he was working for him, sort of.

Mimi: What do you mean?

Rex: He used to work for my grandfather -- I mean stefano -- and the reason we thought he was my grandfather was because of him.

Mimi: Professor putnam?

Rex: No. His -- his real name is --

Mimi: Was.

Rex: Dr. Wilhelm rolf, okay? He's the one that created us -- me and cassie.

Mimi: How do you know this?

Rex: 'Cause he told me. He is the geneticist who made us into what we are, and then he made marlena our surrogate mother.

Mimi: And then he kept you locked up?

Rex: Apparently so.

Mimi: And then he came to salem with ugly fake hair?

Rex: Yeah, and an accent.

Mimi: And pretended to be our professor because he wanted to make you guys -- I don't know, what, why, what did he want you to do?

Rex: I don't know. That's what I was trying to find out, but he -- just he lied so many times. I just want to know who I am, where I came from, and who my mother was. But now I might never know, because when I was grilling him, he just -- hgogot hit by the crates, and now --

Mimi: I'm so sorry, rex.

Rex: I'm already lying to tony. I haven't told him I'm not his son. I'm enough of a disappointment without being the one responsible for the death of the man who had all the answers. For the first time in my life, I don't have a plan. I don't have a idea what to do.

Eva: In this business, you have to make decisions like this every day. It seems like life and death now, but you've been through life and death.

Chloe: I know, and I promised myself I'd never get caught up in petty things again.

Eva: Of course this isn't petty, but 10, 15 years from now, you'll look back and you'll see why things happened the way they did, and you'll -- you'll wonder why you agonized over something that seems so clear in hindsight. I've found that if I make choices out of love, in the end, it all works out. Even a bad experience is an experience.

Chloe: It's really nice talking to someone who, you know, has kind of been there. Most people don't really understand how it feels.

Eva: Well, I'd better get going. Oh, good luck, chloe.

Chloe: Thank you.

Eva: I know that whatever decision you make, you'll be fine.

Philip: So when would chloe leave if she did take this job?

Eva: Bye.

Brady: Find your music?

Eva: Yeah, and I had a good little talk with chloe.

Brady: What? Chloe's here?

Eva: Yeah.

Philip: Good.

Philip: Hey.

Chloe: Hi, philip.

Philip: Hi.

Chloe: I hope you didn't come to hear me sing.

Philip: Might be my last chance.

Chloe: Don't say that.

Philip: Are you going to europe?

Chloe: Well, brady's trying to blackmail me into leaving him. He says that if I don't go to europe, he's going to break up with me.

Philip: So, of course, you have to be stubborn and do just the opposite.

Chloe: Why is it that he thinks he knows better about what I need or what I want?

Philip: What about what he needs?

Chloe: I want him to need me.

[ Sighs ] This is supposed to be the happiest time in my life, philip. Why is it all so complicated?

Philip: Listen, I just left home for the first time in my life. I left my family, friends, servants, decent food, clothes, a mansion. I didn't even have a roof over my head, chloe. And I'm not half as brave or as talented or as independent as you are. I didn't have a dream. I didn't have a calling. 4d so if I could do it...

Chloe: Are you glad that you did it?

Philip: Yeah, I am. You see, going away gives you some perspective. I know I got pretty obsessive with you, and all I did was make you run away. Don't let that happen to you. If what you and brady have is real, then this long-distance thing is going to be fine. It might actually be good, because if you guys can't survive being apart, something's wrong, and it probably isn't going to work out no matter what you do. And if one good thing came out of our relationship, I hope we both learned that. Just don't make the same mistakes I did, chloe. Okay? Oorç Ñññ[

Rex: You okay?

Mimi: Yeah.

Rex: You got goose bumps.

Mimi: Well, besides being freaked out and creeped out -- what?

Rex: Oh, never mind.

Mimi: Tell me.

Rex: Well, I mean, I suppose my olfactory system is more sensitive than most, but he's starting to smell.

Mimi: Ew!

Rex: Okay, okay. What we really need is refrigeration.

Mimi: Or we could dump him in the lake, or at a construction site where he'd get buried in concrete and become part of the foundation of a building, or a vat of acid at one of the factories in brookville. I watch a lot of tv. It's starting to come back to me now.

Rex: The problem is, eventually, bodies get found.

Mimi: Oh, yeah, tell me about it. One time, at shawn's parents' wedding --

Rex: And when they're found, it's pretty much assumed there was a murder.

Mimi: But there wasn't a murder!

Rex: Right.

Mimi: Okay. I know where we could find a body-sized refrigerator -- a place where nobody would think twice about finding a dead body.

Rex: You do?

Mimi: Ever seen that show "crossing jordan"?

Rex: Mimi, you're a genius.

Mimi: Mm-hmm.

Hope: "Fancy face."

Bo: I know. Think about .. how many times have we used her this year? Or last year, or the year before that.

Hope: I just thought that, when zack got older, we'd teach him how to sail, just like we taught shawn.

Bo: Yeah, well, we could do that without the "fancy face." And this is -- it's an investment in his future.

Hope: Whew. I know. I know in my mind, I'll always have the memories, but... that boat is -- I mean, in my mind, I always see you and i sailing off into the sunset. Are our travelg g days over?

Bo: No, of course they're not. We just travel in a different way. Look, if this bounty hunting thing works out, we'll net some bounty, and maybe by the time we retire, we can buy the "fancy face" back.

Hope: If she's for lele. And I don't know why anyone in their right mind would ever let her go to begin with.

Bo: Okay, thanks. If you don't want to do this, I'll understand.

Hope: I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking, I'm thinking.

Bo: Uh-oh.

Hope: Come with me.

Bo: Anywhere.

Hope: That's why I love you, brady. Let's go.

Bo: Mm.

Nicole: All right, uh, we can work around the dead body part, okay? You can disappear into the river somewhere.

Larry: No, no, no, no, that's how I died the last time, as you may recall. That's not going to cut it. They're never going to buy it.

Nicole: All right, all right. We'll figure something else out.

Larry: Ha ha. What? What? You can't just go around charging a corpse to your credit card.

Nicole: It's not like victor left me any, anyhow.

Larry: Well, is there anybody else that you hate enough to off?

Nicole: Oh. Do you think they'll notice if the body's female? No, I can't do that. Well, she is in intensive care.

Larry: Oh, please.

Nicole: No, no, no. I'm having you murder victor so I keep my hands clean.

Larry: All right. All right, then you're just going to have to use your best assets. Seduce someone.

Nicole: What, a dead body?

Larry: That's up toou. I mean, I was thinking more like an associate, but, uh, you know, there's got to be some lonely guy down at the morgue who's just aching for some... human loving companionship. Just, um, offer him a live one in exchange for a stiff one.

Nicole: Yuck.

Larry: Well, I-I mean a stiff corpse, of course.

Nicole: You know, it's bad enough I have to sleep with you.

Larry: Do you want to do this or not?

Nicole: I don't know. I mean, you're insisting on a real live dead body. What happens when they fingerprint and process the body, hmm? How am I supposed to make them believe that it's yours, huh? How?

Chloe: Thank you. Me too. Yes, I'll talk to you then. Bye-bye.

Brady: Tim said you were looking for me.

Chloe: Yeah, brady. I decided. I called cecilia marin, and I accepted the offer.

Brady: That's -- that's unbelievable. That's -- good for you. You happy? Ha ha.

Chloe: Yeah, it's what I wanted. At the same time, it's not.

Brady: Well, you know, the girl I fell in love with wouldn't look back.

Chloe: Well, I'm leaving tonight after I sing. I don't think I can say good-- I don't think I can say goodbye.

Philip: Let her go.

Man: Ladies and gentlemen...

Philip: She'll be fine.

Man: Miss chloe lane.

[ Audience applauding ] X4#this is out there on global - I'm seanna coIñ the eñÑ

Chloe: Thank you.

[ Playing upbeat song introduction ]

Chloe: I'm sorry, if you'll just bear with us for one minute, I've decided to change my program for tonight...

[ Audience murmuring ]

Chloe: Because I have a very hard time saying how I feel, but when I'm singing... I have something very special to say to someone, to someone that I love.

Larry: Are you looking for a reason to back out of this, blondie?

Nicole: No, of course not.

Larry: Okay. Now, if something were to happen to me during my transfer, they wouldn't need to confirm my identity with fingerprints or dna. Why? Because the body fits my general description, and it was so singed that nobody could tell the difference, so they would believe it was me.

Nicole: Oh. So all I have to do is find a dead body that looks like you and that no one will miss. Okay, piece of cake.

Mimi: You'll be much more comfortable in a few minutes. Oh, god, I'm talking to a dead guy.

Rex: Okay, get the door. Okay, coast is clear.

Mimi: That way. Go that way.

Rex: Let's go.

Hope: [ Sighs ]

Hope: I can't do it. I can't do it, brady. We've got to find some other way.

Nicole: At least you must know someone on the outside who could help me.

Man: Time's up.

Larry: How about a goodbye kiss?

Nicole: No thanks.

Larry: You know, I'd rethink that if you want to come back here, honey, sweetie pie, my loving, wonderful wife.

Nicole: Ahem.

Man: Let's go.

Larry: Good luck out there, huh? Oh, blondie -- knock 'em dead.

[ Laughs ]

Nicole: Oh. What have I gotten myself into?

Mimi: Psst. The coast is clear.

Rex: Ooh! Okay, check the morgue d see if anyone's in there.

Mimi: Me?

Rex: Yeah, you. Go. Go on.

Mimi: [ Groans ]

Mimi: Nobody's in there -- no one alive.

Rex: Okay, go on. Let's go. Get the door. Get the door.

Mimi: I'm so lost. How did you get us here?

Rex: Well, this is where cassie and I stayed the whole summer.

Mimi: The morgue?

Rex: No, right down the hall.

Mimi: Oh.

Rex: Here, give me a hand. Ok..

[ Grunting ] Okay, all right.

Mimi: I'll get his head.

Rex: Get his head, get his head. Oh, all right.

Mimi: Okay, here you go. Okay, we're done. Rest in peace, dr. Rolf. Let's get out of here.

Rex: Mimi, wait, wait.

Hope: I'm sorry.

Bo: No, no, no, it's okay. I don't want to make you do this if it doesn't feel right. This shouldn't be just my vision of our future together.

Hope: I'm excited about it, too. Brady, you don't know how much it means to me to be working with you again. I don't want to give up that dream, either, but I -- isn't there some other way?

Bo: I don't think so. If we're really going to do this, we're going to have to invest an awful lot. We're going to be very busy, hope, even busier than we are now, and -- and now we don't use the "fancy face" the way we should. Got a lot of memories here... but she shouldn't be sitting here at the dock all year round. Look, we have a weekend off, we want to go for a sail, we'll -- we'll use pop's boat.

Bo: This isn't easy for me, either, but... like I said, we... got a lot of memories here. We'll always have those.

Hope: I know. I know you're right. I'm just -- I'm sentimental, you know.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: I don't want to let her go.

Hope: You better find her a good home, brady.

Bo: Oh, we will. And who knows? Maybe we can arrange visiting rights.

Hope: Let's do it.

Bo: Really?

Hope: I want to do this with you, brady.

[ Sighs ] New adventures ahead, right?

Bo: You betcha.

Hope: Okay. While we're here, we have a lot of work to do, so we might as well do it.

Bo: Hold on now. We don't have to get started right away.

Hope: Let's not prolong the agony. Let's do it. Come on.

Bo: All righty. Watch your head.

[ Playing song introduction ]

Chloe: For all those times you stood by me for all the truth that you made me see for all the joy you brought to my life for all the wrong that you made right for every dream you made come true for all the love I felt in you I'll be forever thankful, baby you're thonone who held me up never let me fall you're the one who saw me through through it all you were my strength when I was weak you were my voice when I couldn't speak you were my eyes when I couldn't see you saw the best there was in me lifted me up when I couldn't reach you gave me faith 'cause you believed I'm everything I am because you love me

Mimi: What?

Rex: Grab his glasses.

Mimi: Oh, god.

Rex: Come on, grab them, grab them. Come on. I need you to stand guard for another minute.

Mimi: Are you making up a name for him?

Rex: John doe.

[ Elevator bell dings ]

Mimi: What --

Rex: Go on.

Mimi: Come on.

Nicole: Ready or not, here I come.

Hope: Well, I never used this cookbook, that's for sure. We could probably get rid of a lot of this stuff. We haven't used it in three years, chances are we're never going to use it.

Bo: Hey. Let's sit down.

Hope: Mm.

Bo: In the bedroom.

Hope: We have a lot of stuff to do.

Bo: Uh-huh.

Hope: And if you tempt me...

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: You just might get your way.

Bo: Mm-hmm. How big is this boat? I forgot.

Sometimes I wonder

how I ever got along

without you

you're the best part

of it all

Mimi: I cannot believe how fast my heart is beating.

Rex: I wish I had time to undress the corpse.

Mimi: Ooh, I'm glad you didn'T.

Rex: And tag it.

Mimi: At least no one saw us. Trust me, we're safe. I've been a volunteer at the hospital forever, and stuff like this happens all the time -- usually to live people, which is even worse. They'll just think some new orderly didn't do his job. They'd probably blame it on sami, but she's in a coma. Okay, let's go.

Rex: Wait, there's something else I want to do.

Mimi: Now what?

Rex: This.

Chloe: You were always there for me the tender wind that carried me a light in the dark shining your love into my life you've been my inspiration through the lies you were the truth my world is a better place because of you you were my strength when I was weak you were my voice when I couldn't speak you were my eyes when I couldn't see you saw the best there was in me lifted me up when I couldn't reach you gave me faith 'cause you believed I'm everything I am because you loved me I'm everything I am

Chloe: Because you

Brady: I will always love you, chloe.

Chloe: Loved me

Nicole: Hello? Anybody home? Oh, my god. Oh!

Lucas: I work for your father. I'm not going to screw things up by corrupting his little daughter.

Cassie: I'm all woman.

Tony: Rex, it's your father. Can I come in?
