Days of Our Lives Transcript Friday 10/18/02
By Eric
[Knock on door]
Shawn-d: Hi.
Belle: Hi.
Shawn-d: She's my girlfriend. She can come in.
Belle: Thanks. Are you okay?
Shawn-d: Yeah, a little crazy, but okay.
Belle: I didn't want to go to my last class, but --
Shawn-d: No, it's better you went.
Belle: Well, here, I took a lot of notes for you, so when your mom and zack come back, you're caught up. I know that'll be soon.
Shawn-d: Yeah, yeah, thanks. Listen, can you give us a moment alone?
Man: Sure, no problem.
Shawn-d: I am so glad you're here.
Belle: I'm sorry
this is happening to you.
Shawn-d: No, it's -- it's really happening to my mom and brother, wherever they are.
Belle: Have you heard anything from your dad?
Shawn-d: No, no, nothing yet. He's, you know, still following some leads up in cedar rapids, and he said he's going to give me a call as soon as he's got some details, but, you know, one thing's for sure -- no one f found them yet, so that means that they've been kidnapped.
Belle: But you haven't gotten any ransom calls, have you?
Shawn-d: No. Nothing yet.
[Telephone rings]
[Ring]
Brady: You know, I'd hate
to think we're going to join
the list of accounting scandals,
but after reviewing
these spreadsheets --
what the hell happened
while I was away?
Billie: Hey. Just who do you think you're barking at, boss man?
Roman: Kate.
Kate: Well, hi. I'm glad to see you, but you're a little early, aren't you?
Roman: It's not going to happen, Kate.
You better watch out
you better look out
Philip: Chloe.
Chloe: Hi, Philip. Uh, I know you're working here now. Have you finished your shift?
Philip: Yeah. Two, actually. Yeah, I was just heading out.
Chloe: Um, well, can you hang out for a while? I kind of wanted to spend some time with you alone.
Marlena: I'm not sure
I understand.
Why would you want to live
with Shawn and belle?
Cassie: Because Tony wants us to go to college like they do. That's what we want, too.
Marlena: I see.
Rex: Don't you want us to go?
Marlena: Well, I want to think about it some more, and I'd like to discuss it with Tony.
John: Marlena -- will you excuse us for a minute, please? Please, Marlena.
Marlena: John, I'm in the middle of talk--
John: I need to see you out in the foyer right now, please.
Marlena: We'll talk about this in a few minutes.
Rex: She doesn't want us to go to college. Why?
Cassie: There's nothing
she can do about it.
It's a done deal.
We already registered.
Rex: Dr. Marlene's smart. If she's worried, then something's wrong.
Cassie: You know, I'm so sick of waiting for everyone to tell us what we can and cannot do. Let's just get out of here.
Rex: Come on, cassie. You can do this.
Cassie: Aha.
Rex: Those are Tony's car keys.
Cassie: We're going to borrow them.
Rex: Cassie, no.
Cassie: Why not? Don't you want to learn how to drive?
Marlena: He's in one of his dis-associative states.
John: You sure he's not faking it?
Marlena: No, no,
I've seen it.
It's the real thing.
Tony: Marlena.
Marlena: Yes, Tony.
John: He said your name before when I was alone with him.
Tony: Marlena.
Marlena: I'm here.
Tony: Help me.
Marlena: How?
Tony: Help me. Unlock my dreams. Like sands through the hourglass, so are e days of our lives.
Philip: Let me get you a drink or something. You want a cappuccino, juice, or maybe a muffin or something?
Chloe: No, thanks. I don't want anything.
Philip: I can't believe this.
I mean, you came to see me,
and...
I mean, this weird.
I mean, this -- right now.
Maybe it's because
I haven't been with you
for so long --
been alone with you for so long.
Actually, I didn't think it was
ever going to happen again.
I think that's been
part of the problem.
Chloe: Philip --
Philip: I mean, there's been so much I wanted to say to you, but I couldn't, because all these other people are around, and, I mean, that's part of the problem. That's why I couldn't make you understand it. But I think if we just spend time like this together, just us, I think that we can work through everything, Chloe.
Chloe: Philip, stop. We're not getting back together again.
Philip: Really? God, here I go, pressuring you again.
Chloe: No, it's not that.
The reason I wanted to talk
to you, the reason I came here
is because it's always so tense
when we see each other,
and I hate that,
and I hate the fact
that you and Brady
are so angry at each other.
You're family.
I don't want
to come in between you.
It's not right,
and it's not right
that belle has been pulled
into all of this tension
and how belle and Shawn
have been affected by it.
Philip: I guess that's my fault.
Chloe: No, it's nobody's fault. I just don't feel like causing problems for other people. I want all my friends to get along.
Philip: Oh, so that's why you came down here -- to make sure all your friends got along.
Chloe: No, not just that. Philip, I care about you. Even though we're not together anymore, I don't want you to drop out of my life. I want to be able to hang out with you.
Philip: No, don't -- don't say it, Chloe. Don't.
Shawn-d: Well, that --
that could help,
couldn't it, dad,
if you were able to figure out
who the phone call was from?
Yeah.
Yeah, um, all right, I'm just...
trying to keep it together.
Yeah, I know.
I love you, too.
Yeah, I'll just, uh,
I'll be waiting
to hear from you again.
All right.
Thanks. Bye.
Belle: What did he say?
Shawn-d: An airline attendant saw my mom and zack at the airport. She said that my mom got a call and decided not to get on the plane.
Belle: She saw your mom get the call?
Shawn-d: No, I don't know, but my dad got a list of the -- my mom's cell phone calls, and actually found that a call came from a phone booth in the cedar rapids airport.
Belle: So your mom got a call, she left the airport on her own --
Shawn-d: She might have been lured away so she could get kidnapped. I-I -- the dimeras have a knack for this sort of thing.
Belle: Shawn, I really don't
think that they would try
to get zack -- not again.
I mean, lexie is on probation.
She could go to jail forever
for trying anything.
Shawn-d: Belle, they're never going to give up trying to go after zack, okay? Stefano took him away from my mom and dad once. It's obviously what they want. Damn it, it's like -- I should have confronted them when I had the chance.
Belle: Confronted who?
Shawn-d: Lexie and Tony. But... my dad and uncle roman, they wanted me to hold off until they had something more to go on.
Belle: I really hope Tony is not involved. That's only going to add to this.
Shawn-d: 'Cause you're worried about the twins living with him?
Belle: Maybe my dad's right.
Maybe Tony's planning on doing
something horrible with them.
John: You told me he said your name before when he was in one of these states.
Marlena: Yes. It's different, though. He never talked about unlocking his dreams.
John: This is so pat. It's got to be a setup.
Marlena: No, I don't think so. Look, I have -- I have -- I have avoided responding to Tony when he's been in fugue states before, but this time, I think I should.
John: All right.
Marlena: We came here to find out about his agenda and if he knows anything at all about hope and zack's disappearance. His defenses are down. He's reaching out. I think we should act.
John: All right.
Do what you have to do.
Marlena: Tony, it's Marlena.
Tony: Marlena.
Marlena: You said that I could help unlock your dreams.
Tony: Yes.
Marlena: Why do you think that?
Tony: He said that you would.
Marlena: Who did?
John: Well, I'll give you the answer to that -- Stefano.
Kate: It's -- it's not going to happen? What do you mean?
Roman: Our lunch date.
Kate: Oh.
Roman: I got to work. In fact, I'm working right now. I just came from upstairs at global airlines.
Kate: Well, okay.
I mean, you know,
don't think twice about it.
Obviously,
it must be something important.
Roman: Yeah, it is. Unfortunately, it's very important. It's going to be in the evening newspaper, so I might as well tell you. Hope and her son zack are missing. Looks like a kidnapping.
Kate: Oh, my god. Oh, my god, that's horrible.
Roman: They were supposed to catch a global flight, return to Salem. They never got on the plane.
Kate: Oh. Oh, roman, I'm sorry.
Billie: Well, look at that. Brady black, all grown up.
Brady: Hello, Billie.
Billie: My mother told me that you were working here, but obviously, you think you're in charge.
Brady: No, not really.
This happens to be
my father's company.
I assume you know that.
Billie: Yes, I also know that he put my mother in charge, so where do you get off coming in here and barking at her like she's some bumbling assistant?
Brady: Excuse me?
Billie: Yeah, just because it's your daddy's company, it doesn't give you the right to treat people like dirt.
Brady: What? Where the hell do you get off? Just 'cause you're a cop doesn't give you the right to come up here and patrol these offices, interrogating executives on their office behavior.
Billie: Oh,
are we talking about behavior?
Well, then, I think yours
is pretty damn rotten, Brady,
but what the hell, right?
You're the boss's son.
You can get away with it.
Brady: You get away with stuff all the time. That happens to be your trademark.
Billie: I don't know what that means.
Brady: Oh, like trying to ruin my uncle bo's life a few times. Obviously, that wasn't enough, 'cause you're back for an encore. Becoming a cop so you can join his precinct, make his life a living hell, drive him nuts. I can only imagine the strings you pulled to make that one happen.
Billie: You know what? You just stepped over the line, Brady.
Brady: Then book me for telling it like it is.
Belle: Just keeps ringing.
Shawn-d: That's their
private line, right?
Belle: Yeah. Come on, cassie, rex, just answer. Voice ma.. I'm not going to leave a message. I want to actually talk to them. I wonder where they are.
Shawn-d: Your mom's keeping tabs on them, right? Just call her.
Belle: Good idea.
[Tires screech]
[Car crashes]
Man: Hold it. Let me go first.
Belle: Oh, my god!
Shawn-d: Cassie! Rex!
Philip: Look, I know
what you're going to say. You're going to ask me
to be your friend.
Well, I can't do that,
not the way I feel.
I don't want to be
your friend, Chloe.
Chloe: So, what do we do, cut each other off? When we pass each other on the street, should we pretend like we don't know each other?
Philip: No, no, I could never cut you off or treat you like a stranger. But I love you. And that's not going to change just because you decided that it's over. Which it isn't. I know it isn't.
Chloe: Philip.
Philip: No, don't look at me
like I'm all deluded
or whatever, 'cause I'm not.
Look, I know you've pulled away
from me and you've gotten
closer to Brady,
and that you think I'm not
the right one for you anymore,
but I honestly think
it's because your life has been
turned upside down lately,
what with being sick and all.
It's caused you to question
a ton of stuff
and make you think that you need
to make these big changes
in your life.
Chloe: What's your point, Philip?
Philip: That it's not always going to be like this for you, Chloe. Once you accept that you're going to get better and you're going to survive and be happy and live a long life, things are going to change for you again. They'll change for us. I believe that in my heart, Chloe, and I think you do, too.
Cassie: Ahh.
Belle: Did you hit your head? Any bumps, bruises?
Cassie: [Giggles] No. No bumps. Seatbelts really work.
Man: All right, you two, let's sit down.
Shawn-d: Cassie, you ran into my tree.
Cassie: I didn't mean to.
I was aiming for the driveway.
Man #2: Well, you missed, didn't you?
Cassie: Yeah, I missed. But I can see why everybody wants to drive. It's so fun.
Man #2: Okay, let's cut the cute stuff. Where have you been?
Cassie: When?
Man #2: Before you crashed, where were you?
Belle: They came from the Dimera mansion. They're staying there.
Shawn-d: Look, if you think they're connected to the kidnapping, believe me, they're not.
Belle: No, they're totally harmless. They're our friends.
Man #3: Fellas, the bureau wants me to take them in for questioning.
Shawn-d: No, okay.
Hold on one second.
These two are very good friends
of ours.
There's no way that they were
trying to cause any trouble.
Listen, you call roman Brady
at Salem P.D., He'll confirm it.
He's my uncle.
[Cellular phone rings]
[Ring]
Man: Well, maybe we better call downtown. I don't want to tangle with Brady.
Cassie: So, next time, I won't hit anything.
Belle: Next time? Cassie, there won't be a next time. You don't have a driver's license.
Cassie: Well, I can't get one without an identity. A license is another form of identity cards. Did you know that?
Shawn-d: You could have killed yourself. Did you know that?
Cassie: I don't think so. Besides, I was coming here to see you. Are you okay?
Rex: We heard you had
a family problem.
Cassie wanted to help.
Belle: Shawn, you better tell them.
Rex: Tell us what?
Shawn-d: My brother and mother are missing.
Rex: Missing? What happened to them?
Shawn-d: We don't know anything yet. They were at the airport on their way to come home, then they just disappeared.
Cassie: I know where they are.
John: It's got to be Stefano, Marlena. Ask him.
Marlena: Tony, who was the man who said I could help you unlock your dreams? Was it Stefano?
Tony: He was... all in white.
Man's voice: [Distorted]
When you wake up, Marlena must be the one
to turn the key
and unlock your dreams.
Marlena: The man in white -- did he talk to you?
Tony: Yes.
Marlena: What did he say?
Tony: He told me I'm not the man I was.
Billie: This is like bad déja vu.
Brady: Why, 'cause everybody's always asking you about Bo and why the hell you came back to Salem?
Billie: First of all, it's nobody's damn business why I came back to Salem, and second, I happen to be the least of your uncle's problems right now.
Brady: Yeah, right.
Billie: His wife and son are missing.
Brady: What?
Billie: They were
visiting J.T. In cedar rapids,
and they didn't make it
on their return flight home.
Bo's there looking for them,
but they have no word
on their whereabouts yet.
Brady: Oh, my god. I can't believe nobody told me about this.
Billie: Well, they're trying to keep it quiet. The dimeras are suspects, of course, but, uh, they have to follow a few leads before they can pursue that.
Brady: I can't believe this. It's like a-a plague or something -- all of these good people dealing with crisis after crisis. Look, I'm -- I'm sorry for acting like such a jerk, you know, coming in here and yelling at you.
Billie: That's okay. I came on a little strong myself. How about we start over?
Brady: Yeah. I'm going to go.
Brady: Hey, um...
I know my father happens
to own the company, but, uh,
I'm pretty good at what I do.
Billie: I'm sure you are.
Brady: Well, you're -- you're waiting for your mom, so I'm going to go back to work.
Billie: Right.
[Cellular phone rings]
[Ring]
Roman: I got to take this.
Billie: Hi.
Kate: Hi, Billie.
Billie: Did I interrupt something?
Roman: I got to take off, Kate. Well, officer, I, uh, assume this is downtime.
Billie: Yes, sir.
Roman: I'll be in touch.
Kate: Okay. Good luck.
Billie: Okay. What's going on? You said he was not interested in you.
Kate: Billie, I don't have the time.
Billie: Are you dating?
Kate: No, no, we're not doing that. We're sort of seeing each other. What's the big deal?
Billie: The big deal is that he's my boss, mom.
Kate: Mm. I see. And you have a problem with that. Well, why is that, because you have a thing for your boss?
Shawn-d: You know where my mother and brother are?
Cassie: Sure.
Shawn-d: Where -- what are you talking about?
Cassie: They're where my mother and family are.
Shawn-d: I thought you don't remember your family.
Cassie: I can't.
Rex: And since we can't
remember our family,
we've agreed that we're just
going to accept the fact
that we didn't have one.
Cassie: But I can't accept that. I just keep hoping that it's temporary, and that one day, they'll just walk through the door, put their arms around us, and tell us how much they missed us.
Belle: Cassie, it might not be a good thing for you to get your hopes up like that.
Cassie: Why not? It's the way Shawn feels. Right, Shawn?
Marlena: Tony... the man in white. Why did he say that you are no longer the man you were?
Tony: I don't know. He just said...
Marlena: Said what?
Tony: He just said it
when I was sleepy,
like now.
I want to sleep.
Marlena: Yes, I know. In a moment, Tony. One more question. Where was the man in white?
Tony: On the island.
Marlena: On what island?
Tony: The island! The island where my destiny will be fulfilled.
Chloe: Philip, I don't believe in my heart that you and I are meant to be.
Philip: Because you can't admit it to yourself.
Chloe: No, that's not the reason. Why can't I get through to you?
Philip: How about we don't even try, okay? Let's just let things be for now.
Chloe: What, the way they've been, all tense and weird and uncomfortable?
Philip no. Look... look, I'll do whatever I can to keep that tense thing from happening, okay? I really will.
Chloe: How?
Philip: I'll figure something out. I'm not going to chase you anymore, and be all needy, and whatever I keep doing, I'll stop. And I can stop, because I'm getting my life back on track. I'm working, I'm moving out of the dorm and in with my brother Lucas, and, hey, I registered for a class at Salem U.
Chloe: What course are you taking?
Philip: Don't worry. Not the course you're taking. A history course. Actually, belle registered for it, too.
Chloe: How did you know I was taking a course?
Philip: I, uh, heard you
telling Brady about it before.
I was thinking about taking it,
but belle wouldn't let me.
She made me see
that I needed to back off,
and I will.
I'm not going to push it.
I'm just going to wait it out.
[Cellular phone rings]
[Ring]
Chloe: Hello?
Brady: Chloe, hi, it's Brady. I'm just checking in.
Chloe: Oh, hi.
Brady: So how's it going?
Chloe: Great. I registered for that class, and I got in.
Brady: Really? That's great news. So, uh, what's going on? Where are you?
Chloe: Not much. I'm just hanging out.
Brady: Okay. Um, well, listen, I'll -- I'll check back in later. After work, maybe we can get together or something.
Chloe: Sure, I'd like that. Talk to you soon.
Philip: Was that Brady?
Why didn't you tell him
you were with me?
Cassie: Are you angry with me, Shawn?
Shawn-d: No. No, it's just I thought that maybe you saw my mother or brother at the mansion.
Rex: Why would they be there?
Shawn-d: Because the dimeras think that zack belongs with them. It's a really long story, but, basically, lexie and Tony's father switched zack at birth so that lexie could adopt zack. Once we got that all straightened out and we actually figured out that zack was my mother's kid, or my brother, lexie couldn't deal with that and didn't want to give him up.
Belle: Lexie did
some really terrible things
to try and hold onto zack,
and her father helped her.
Rex: That's very unfair.
Belle: Definitely.
Shawn-d: Yeah, so now I think lexie's trying to get him back, and Tony Dimera is going to help her.
Cassie: But Tony's so nice.
Shawn-d: Yeah. I-I know he is to you, but I don't trust him, and neither does anyone in my family, and I really think that he's just trying to finish the job his father started, which -- which is why I need you to tell me if you have heard anything he has said to anyone, on the phone or whatever, that you might have not understood or sounded in the least bit suspicious.
Rex: No, not that I can remember.
Cassie: We'll keep our eyes
and our ears open for you.
Man: Captain Brady.
Roman: Hey, guys.
Shawn-d: Hey. Glad you're here.
Roman: How are you holding up?
Shawn-d: All right.
Roman: All right. What's this about a car accident?
Shawn-d: Well, our friends heard about what was going on with me, and they grabbed Tony dimera's car, and they headed on over.
Roman: Hey, guys, take a break, okay?
Man: Yes, sir.
Roman: Thanks. All right, who are your friends?
Shawn-d: This is cassie and rex.
Roman: O-okay.
The cassie and rex, as in the Gemini twins.
Rex: Yes, we are.
Shawn-d: This is my uncle captain roman Brady.
Cassie: Nice to meet you, captain.
Roman: Nice to meet you, too. I've heard a lot about you two, but, uh, I mean, you got licenses to drive or...
Cassie: No, we don't.
Belle: I talked to them about that, and they understand now that next time they could get into serious trouble, right, cassie?
Cassie: Yeah.
Roman: Does Tony Dimera know you took his car?
Rex: No.
Cassie: He was too busy with john and Marlena, so we just left.
Roman: What are you talking about?
Rex: Marlena and john
are with Tony now
at the mansion.
John: So, Tony, come on. Tell us all about this island. Where was it? Tony.
Marlena: He's not going to answer you.
Tony: Hmm.
Tony: Oh. What's going on? What happened?
Marlena: You're all right now.
Tony: I was in one of those episodes, right?
Marlena: Yes.
Tony: Well, what did I say?
John: You know damn well what you said.
Kate: I think we should meet on that. Okay. Okay, I'll set it up.
Roman: I'm just saying
people who work together
shouldn't sleep together.
Billie: Well, I have every intention of keeping my work life and my love life separate. Now, if you'll excuse me --
Roman: Does that include Bo, too?
Billie: I don't mean to get all technical, sir, but according to my manual, it's against regulations for a senior official to coerce a subordinate into a sexual conversation against her wishes.
Kate: That's excellent. Okay. Thanks. Still thinking about roman?
Billie: Oh, would you give that up? I am not attracted to roman Brady in the least. I dot think he's the right man for you.
Kate: Hmm.
Well, that's true, isn't it?
I'm usually attracted to a man
who's a bit more...
Billie: Rich and powerful?
Kate: That has been my history.
Billie: Mm-hmm.
Kate: But you know something? Those relationships were usually unfulfilling and empty and... I don't know, maybe it's time for a change.
Billie: Well, don't go overboard in the other direction.
Kate: You know something? I think you should concentrate on your own social life or lack thereof. I mean, what is it with you? Suddenly work is the be-all and the end-all for you.
Billie: Well, my priorities have changed. I've explained that to you. Please.
Kate: Well, that's great.
So now I won't be seeing you
at all.
Billie: You're seeing me right now, aren't you?
Kate: I'm going to see you here for two minutes, and then you're going to tell me that you have to rush off to the police station. Billie, we never get a chance to really talk.
Billie: Well, let's talk right now. Matter of fact, why don't I vent how frustrated I am that I cannot be on the case that is the biggest case going right now? I'm sure roman told you about hope and zack.
Kate: Oh, yes, yes. It's terrible.
Billie: I know.
Poor Bo,
and the whole Brady family.
I mean, how much
can that family take?
Kate: Billie, I feel badly for them, but right now, I want to focus on my family and you.
Billie: There's nothing to focus on. I have nothing to tell you.
Kate: Well, of course you have nothing to tell me. You never have anything to tell me. You're as secretive now as you were the day you came back, and I'm not going to put up with it anymore.
Tony: John, I assure you, I have no idea what I said, no memories of the episode. There never are any. I mean, Marlena will attest to that.
Marlena: John, that's true.
Tony: So will you please tell me what I said?
John: Not a damn thing.
Tony: Well, now I'm confused. So which is it, john? Did I say something or didn't I?
John: What difference does it make? You were faking the whole thing anyway so you wouldn't have to answer questions about hope and zack. But now that you're back, why don't you tell us what you know about their disappearance?
Roman: You don't have to answer that, Tony. He doesn't get to ask the questions.
Chloe: I didn't tell Brady I was with you because I didn't want to create any tension. Why would I purposely upset him?
Philip: Fine, fine. I understand. Look, you do whatever you need to do to keep the peace. And go. Go meet Brady and have fun. I'm going to stay focused on what I need to do -- moving into my brother's apartment, going to school, and reworking my life.
Chloe: Philip --
Philip: Listen, Chloe,
I'm going to be fine,
and you're not going
to change my mind about this.
Eventually, I know
we'll be together.
Can I walk you home?
Chloe: No. Thanks, though.
Philip: I'll see you, then, huh?
Chloe: Yes.
Rex: Why did captain Brady run out of here?
Belle: I have no idea.
Cassie: Shawn is so sad. I can feel it. I just want to help him to feel better.
Belle: Shawn, why don't we do what the Brady's always do when they need help?
Rex: What do they do?
Belle: They pray.
Rex: Oh, I've read about that. Prayer, religion, god -- do you and Shawn actually believe a god exists?
Belle: Of course we do.
This isn't a time to doubt.
We have to believe --
all of us --
that someone is up there
watching over us
and watching over hope and zack
and that they're going
to bring them back to you
and your dad.
Cassie: Was that our prayer?
Belle: No, cassie, that wasn't our prayer. This is how we do that. We all take hands... and then we squeeze once, and that means we all love each other.
Belle: Now we close our eyes and talk to god.
Rex: Well, what do we say?
Belle: We ask him to let his goodness shine down on hope and zack.
Cassie: Like the sun?
Belle: Yeah, cassie. Like the sun.
Billie: All right, I have to admit, I haven't been very accessible, but can you blame me? I mean, everybody thinks that I'm after Bo. I can't stand it anymore. I even get it from you.
Kate: I'm sorry.
Billie: I'm over Bo. Why can't anyone understand that?
Kate: I believe you. I do. And -- and I know that you're making a real effort at making a fresh start for yourself.
Billie: I am.
Kate: Oh, honey, I am so proud of you.
Billie: But...
Kate: No. No, there are no buts. I want you to know that you can -- you can talk to me freely, and I am not going to pass judgment on you, okay?
Billie: Thanks, mom. Oh.
Kate: Oh, sweetie.
And, since I'm not
passing judgment on you,
would you promise
not to pass judgment on me
if I do see your boss, hmm?
Billie: That's a deal.
[Telephone rings]
Kate: Yes? Okay, okay. Wait one second. I'll be right back, okay?
Billie: Sure.
Billie: I just have a few minutes. I'm checking in.
Man: Anything new on your end?
Billie: No, they're keeping me out of it, and it's driving me crazy. I still think I should find a way to get to cedar rapids and try to hook up with Bo.
Man: Absolutely not. You stay right where you are.
Billie: What's the matter? Is everything okay?
Man: No,
everything's not okay.
I've got a problem
it's a big one.
But I'm working on it.
In the meantime,
just do what I tell you
and stay put in Salem.
Billie: Okay. Don't jump down my throat. I'll stay clear of Bo for now. Yeah, I'm clear. Of course I understand. Right. Later.
Eliana: Mr. Dimera, I'm sorry to interrupt, but the captain showed me his badge and insisted that he come in.
Tony: It's all right, Eliana. Thank you. Well, I assume you're here to pick up where john left off.
Roman: No, I'm not. Actually, I need to talk to john and Marlena. Will you excuse us?
Tony: Certainly.
Roman: John...
we had a deal.
I asked you
to use your special resources
to try to locate hope.
I also asked you
to stay clear of the dimeras.
Under no circumstances
were you to confront Tony.
You've probably blown
this whole thing
out of the water now.
John: He knows he's a suspect. He knows he's under surveillance. He knows his phone's tapped. Nothing to lose, roman.
Roman: You told me you'd stay away from him.
John: Come on. Things change, damn it.
Roman: How the hell am I going to run a proper investigation if you run around acting like a cowboy?
John: All right. All right. I will stay behind the scenes and concentrate on finding hope and the island, as well.
Roman: What island?
John: We just found out
that Tony was on an island
at some point,
and he was told
that his destiny
would be fulfilled there.
Roman: What?
Marlena: He was in one of those states.
John: Now all I have to do is find that island and expose Tony's destiny, and we can bring down the house of Dimera for good.
Tony: What's going on with me? My head.
