Days of Our Lives Transcript Monday 10/7/02--Canada; Tuesday 10/8/02--USA

By Amanda

Rex: Hey. Look, Dr. Marlena won't let anything happen to us. Don't worry.

Cassie: Rex, you know I don't know how not to worry.

Rex: Yeah. Me neither.

John: Well, don't leave us hanging here, Russell. What is this development that we're not gonna like? And what the hell are you doing here?

Tony: Ah, relax, john. It's all on the up-and-up, I assure you. I've got a court order to take the twins home.

Marlena: You're not taking the twins anywhere. You have no right.

Tony: Sorry, but this gives me the right.

John: What the hell are you trying to pull?

Rex: Why were they fighting?

Tony: As you can see, I've been given temporary guardianship of the twins pending a formal hearing.

John: Yeah, well, you can take this and get out of here.

Marlena: How dare you play with their lives?

Tony: Everything's in order. Take me to the twins now.

John: I'm afraid you're not getting anywhere near them.

Tony: Don't fight me on this, john. The law's on my side.

Marlena: And the twins are in my care, and I won't let you take them. I don't care what the law says.

[Singing opera with recording]

[Music continues]

Chloe: Hi.

Craig: [Chuckles] It's good to see you happy, young lady.

Chloe: Well, everything has been so perfect since I came home -- my birthday party yesterday, the news about the baby.

Craig: Yeah, well, we've got a lot to celebrate, that's for sure.

Chloe: Where's Nancy?

Craig: Upstairs sleeping, I hope. Maybe you should get a nap in, too. It's been a long day.

Chloe: Mm. I don't want this day to ever end. It has been... so amazing. Suddenly there's so much reason to hope.

Craig: Brady wouldn't have anything to do with the way you feel, would he?

Chloe: Of course he does. He's been a really wonderful friend.

Craig: A friend who's got you singing again.

[Country music playing]

Roman: Brady. Brady, over here.

Brady: Hey, roman.

Roman: Thanks for getting here so soon.

Brady: Yeah, no problem. So, when you called, it sounded urgent.

Roman: Do dry creek and Dr. Frederick Sykes ring a bell?

Brady: You heard about that.

Roman: I should have heard it from you. Instead I had to hear it from a contact in the witness protection program.

Brady: You know, listen, roman, I was going to call you, but, see, I just got back into town.

Roman: You got back yesterday. Now, look, I'm the one who gave you the information on where to find Chloe’s biological father. The least you could have done was let me know how it went down.

Brady: Things got out of hand.

Roman: Out of hand? Yeah, I'd say they got out of hand. In fact, it was an unmitigated disaster, especially for Sykes, who had to run for his life after you blew his cover. You've got a hell of a lot of explaining to do.

[Cheering]

Belle: Whoo!

Shawn-d: Whoo!

[Cheering continues]

Margot: Come on, heartbreaker, speech time.

Belle: No. No.

Shawn-d: Go for it.

Belle: Shawn, I'm gonna make a complete fool out of myself.

Shawn-d: Not a chance.

Mimi: Yeah!

Belle: Okay. Okay, okay, okay. Okay. Okay, stop. Let's hear it for the Hartley house and the Salem U. Team.

[Cheers and applause]

Cynthia: Could she be any more of a slut?

Dozer: You're still the hottest girl here.

Belle: And let's give a nice round of applause to dozer, who scored the winning touchdown!

[Cheers and applause]

Dozer: To a winning season! Whoo!

Belle: Okay, Salem U. Rocks, and let's party, Hartley house!

[Cheers and applause]

Shawn-d: You were great.

Belle: Thanks. I'm going to go upstairs and get my camera.

Shawn-d: Okay.

Dozer: Don't let belle get to you.

Cynthia: She stole the heartbreaker title from me.

Dozer: There's nothing you can do about it.

Cynthia: I know, but you can. You want me to party with you, help me bring down the heartbreaker.

Dozer: Like, how?

Cynthia: Tonight, we're going to make sure belle lives up to her new title and breaks Shawn’s heart. Poor baby.

Belle: I thought Shawn would open the shades earlier.

[Gasps]

Marlena: I really thought you might be different from your father, but you're not. You're the same heartless, controlling monster he was.

Tony: Well, I only have the best interests of the twins at heart.

John: Well, if that's a fact, then you won't be needing this, will you?

Marlena: You're not getting anywhere near the twins. They've suffered enough.

Tony: Marlena, please --

John: Don't even think about it.

Tony: You can't win, john. There's no way.

Marlena: I want you both staying in here for a while longer, all right?

Rex: Who's that man?

Marlena: It's nobody you have to worry about. My husband and I will take care of him.

Cassie: You're afraid.

Marlena: No, I'm angry. It's different.

Rex: What does guardianship mean?

Marlena: Oh, well, to be somebody's guardian means that you... you watch out for them, you take care of them.

Rex: Like belle?

Marlena: A little bit like belle, yeah. Sort of -- not like Tony dimera. Look, you're safe here. Stay here, all right? I'll be right back.

John: You okay?

Marlena: I will be once he's out of here.

Tony: If you've done anything to keep those twins from me, you're breaking the law.

Marlena: Don't threaten me.

John: Spector, you get him out of here, or I will.

Russell: That could land you in jail. Now, that was a court order, and we have to do what it says.

Marlena: How could this happen? The government was supposed to protect the twins.

Russell: We had no idea this was coming down until it happened. And then it was too late. I'll go make some phone calls.

John: So this was your plan all along, wasn't it? Come into Salem, play Mr. Nice guy, and just wait for the aliens to drop out of the sky so you can finish what your father started. These are Stefano’s last weapons, aren't they? Sent here to Salem so you could prepare them, much the same way your father prepared me, to do his bidding, to carry out all of his evil plans. Well, the dimera terrorism is over. It ends right here, right now. Get out of here, Tony.

Belle: Get your hands off of me!

Philip: Hey, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to scare you.

Belle: How did you get in here?

Philip: You gave me this, remember?

Belle: Obviously a big mistake. Philip, what is wrong with you, grabbing me like that?

Philip: Belle, you surprised me.

Belle: Philip, this is my room.

Philip: Look, okay, I'm sorry. Don't kick me out, okay?

Belle: Have you been drinking again?

Philip: No, no. It's Chloe... and Brady.

Belle: You didn't start another fight with Brady, did you?

Philip: No, no. I went over to his house to apologize for busting in on Chloe’s party like that and for all the stupid things I've done to him and to Chloe. You know, I thought if I could make things right with Brady, I'd have a better chance with Chloe. I mean, they keep saying they're just friends, right?

Belle: Did you see Brady?

Philip: I saw them both. Only they didn't see me. They were too wrapped up in each other.

Belle: What happened?

Philip: When I got to the loft, they were saying goodbye. Man, the way they looked at each other, the things that they didn't say -- oh, yeah, they're a lot more than friends.

Belle: Philip, did you let them know that you were there?

Philip: No. Brady went inside, and Chloe was outside in the hallway alone, and I was going to step out. Then she started whispering something about her and Brady maybe having a future together. God, it was so obvious. Brady loves Chloe, and now she's falling for him. I've lost her, belle. I've lost her for good.

Belle: Philip...

Brady: Nothing happened to Sykes. The mob didn't get him or anything?

Roman: No. No. He's safe...from everyone, including you.

Brady: Oh, thank god. Listen, roman, I am very sorry about all this. You put yourself on the line to give me that information about where I could find Sykes. And, hey, the last thing that I wanted to do was scare him off, especially when Chloe and I were so close to meeting him, maybe even getting her the help she needs.

Roman: What happened?

Brady: Let's just say that there were things I hadn't counted on, and I blew it.

Roman: No, you didn't blow it. Philip did.

Brady: You know about Philip?

Roman: The sheriff in dry creek told me. Philip ought to be busted up alongside the head for what he pulled on you.

Brady: No, roman, he didn't know what the hell was going on. For all he knew, I was trying to make a move on his girlfriend.

Roman: That's no excuse.

Brady: I don't blame you for being angry, but Philip is not to blame here. I'm the one who hit you up for a favor, and you really came through for me. Why? I don't know. Granted, the way I treated you after the shooting -- I want you to know I feel very terrible about everything that happened. I know "sorry" just doesn't cut it.

Roman: All right. Forget it. Nobody got hurt. Everything worked out.

Brady: Well, Chloe -- finding her biological father was the best chance she had at getting a bone marrow match. I got her hopes up, and I really let her down.

Roman: You know something, Brady black? I am very glad that I didn't write you off completely. You are not the irresponsible, self-serving jerk I took you for.

Brady: Should I take that as a compliment, or what?

Roman: Well, you've got to admit, you were walking around angry at the world, but somehow you managed to get past that anger and come out fighting -- for people, rather than against.

Brady: I can't believe I'm hearing this after everything I've put you through.

Roman: Well, I'll tell you what. Maybe it is, uh, time that you and I made a fresh start.

Brady: Definitely. I'm buying the beers.

Roman: You got it.

Chloe: I guess Brady has something to do with my feeling so happy.

Craig: Well, I didn't mean to pry. It's just, you know, I saw you, and the way you wanted to rush out and tell him after Nancy and I told you about the baby, I just figured that the two of you were getting pretty close.

Chloe: I didn't tell him about the baby, though. I wanted to, but I know that you and Nancy want to keep the news in the family for now.

Craig: Yeah. Yeah. You know, about that, um... I was thinking, since Brady’s been so involved with helping you and trying to find a donor, maybe... maybe we can make an exception there. Now, I don't always understand the way he operates, and I wish he would have told us first what he was going to do when he wanted to take you and find Frederick Sykes, but...he cares, and he's certainly willing to put himself on the line for you.

Chloe: Yeah, he has a way of making me look at things the way they really are without ever losing hope. I feel so protected with him in my life. You and Nancy protect me, too, but it's just different with me and Brady.

Craig: I understand.

Chloe: Why are you smiling?

Craig: I'm smiling because I love you, and... It sounds like in Brady you have found someone that you can love, too. Am I right?

Belle: I'm sorry, Philip. I know what you're feeling.

Philip: Don't say you're sorry. It makes it sound so final. But I know Chloe loved me. She said she did. And when you love someone, you can work it out.

Belle: Philip, Chloe’s going through a lot, okay? Her life is changing.

Philip: You don't think Chloe’s going to come back to me, do you?

Belle: I can't speak for Chloe.

Philip: Well, she and Brady lied to me, saying they were just friends. But her love for me was real. I know that. I just have to make her remember how it was between us.

Belle: Philip, you can't make her feel what you feel.

Philip: Well, I have to do something, belle! We were going to be together forever. She's my whole life.

Belle: If there is one thing I have learned this year, it's that you can't make someone your whole life. You are your life, and you need to start building from that.

Philip: No, it can't be over. I can't live with this pain. You don't know what I'm talking about.

Belle: I do. Philip, I thought I was going to die when Shawn was with Jan.

Philip: Yeah, but Shawn didn't fall in love with Jan. He came back. I am dying here.

[Sighs] Damn Brady!

Belle: Philip, please don’t.

Philip: He's killing me! He's killing our love.

Belle: Philip, stop it. I will help you get through this, I promise.

Philip: God, belle, what am I going to do without her? What am I going to do?

Belle: You're not going to go through this alone. You're not alone.

John: There is no way I'm going to let any court sentence those kids to a life in hell with you.

Tony: I don't know what my father tried to do to you.

John: He tried to use me to destroy the people that I care about. And after I accomplished that, he would have gotten rid of me, too, and there's no way I'm going to let you turn those twins into pawns like that.

Tony: Well, that's the last thing I would want for them.

Marlena: What did Stefano order for the twins before he died?

Tony: There was no order.

John: Then how do you know so much about them?

Tony: Well, all I know is the fact that they arrived in something that looked like a spacecraft with no memory of who they are or where they came from.

John: Classified information you could have only learned from Stefano.

Tony: No. No, sorry to say. It's here in the "spectator."

Marlena: What?

Tony: See for yourself.

John: "The truth about the aliens in the hospital basement."

Marlena: Oh, my gosh.

Tony: It's all there. They have no idea where they're from, with no money, no home, no one to turn to.

John: That's where you're wrong. They have us.

Tony: Well, I didn't know that when I went to the judge and offered my help, you see. I just suspected the fact that they were connected to my father in some way.

John: Oh, really? And how would you know that?

Tony: Well, because they arrived the night of the Gemini constellation shower. The pillow my father bequeathed Marlena with the Gemini constellation on the back of it. I mean, there are just too many coincidences for them not to be.

John: Yeah, right, coincidences. The fact is, we don't need your help here. The twins are well taken care of.

Tony: I just can't walk away and just leave it like that. Work with me! I mean, let's find out how they're connected to my father and the rest of my family!

John: I'm afraid there's no way.

Tony: Well, I'm sorry, john, but it's a done deal.

John: There is no way those twins are going anywhere until we say so.

Marlena: John?

Tony: Well, who may you be?

Cassie: Cassie. He's rex.

Tony: Hello.

Cassie: Is he the guardian who's going to give us a home?

Marlena: Tony, please.

Rex: No, Cassie.

Cassie: A home like belle and Shawn’s?

[Dance music playing]

Dozer: [Slurred] Okay. Okay. I'll make sure that the belle-breaker busts some hearts. Or wh-whatever.

Cynthia: How about you do it while you can still stand?

Dozer: One for the road.

Cynthia: Jerk.

Girl: It's so cool. Belle's the first freshman ever to be elected heartbreaker.

Mimi: Which is really weird, considering she'd never even look at another guy.

Cynthia: Hey there, groupies. Where'd the little heartbreaker run off to now?

Shawn-d: Why do you care?

Cynthia: I was just thinking of you. I hope she's not off somewhere living up to her title.

Girl: Give it up, Cynthia.

Mimi: Yeah, get a life.

Shawn-d: You know what? Belle has been gone for a while. I'm going to go make sure she's okay.

Mimi: Yeah.

Shawn-d: I'll be right back.

Philip: Thank you, belle. Thank you so much.

Dozer: Whoa! Way to go, Phil!

Philip: Get out of here, dozer!

Dozer: Ah, you hooking up again, there, heart-beller?

Belle: Dozer, you need to lay off the beer.

Philip: Come on, your room's this way, buddy. Let's go.

Dozer: What --

Shawn-d: Whoa! Dozer, you need to lay off the booze, man.

Dozer: Hey, your girlfriend and the "k" man -- well, you're just going to have to get in line to get your turn at her.

Shawn-d: Why don't you shut the hell up, all right?

Dozer: She's scoring more than I did on the field today.

Cynthia: Shawn, no!

Belle: Hey! What is going on?

Chloe: Things have changed between me and Brady, but I don't know about love.

Craig: Well, you don't have to put a label on how you feel. Just... just enjoy it.

Chloe: I do, except it was simpler just being friends without these... other feelings.

Craig: Mm. Have you -- have you told Brady about these other feelings?

Chloe: Not in so many words, but he -- he knows. It's the same for him. It's just...

Craig: What?

Chloe: I don't want things to turn out the way they did with Philip. You know, I thought I loved him, but it wasn't real. I needed Philip to make me feel special, feel like I belonged.

Craig: Well, Brady seems different. And there is still no guarantees in love. There's risks involved always. But you'll go on together if it's the real thing.

Chloe: Well, how do you know if it's the real thing? How did you know with Nancy?

Craig: Sit down. With your mom, well, um, we had been friends together a long time, sort of like you and Brady, and we shared work, bowling, fighting over the scrabble board... and one night we were together and... she made me laugh. And I just... I looked at her and that's when I knew. Suddenly, I wanted to share everything with her. And that moment will happen for you, too. I promise. You know, you'll know when the guy you're looking at is the one. You can't make it happen. It just does.

Roman: Oh, wait a minute. Let me get this straight. You want me to help you find Sykes again; you got to be kidding me.

Brady: It was worth a shot.

Roman: Brady, listen, I know how much you want to help Chloe, but the truth is, when Sykes' identity was exposed, the witness protection program went into a major lockdown. Nobody outside the program can access the information, so this time, there's absolutely no way I can get you to Sykes or his son.

Brady: So you're saying even if I go back to dry creek and try to pick up a lead, it'll be a waste of time.

Roman: Honestly, yes. But I also know there's no point in trying to stop you because you are going to do what you have to do.

Brady: Yes, I am, because Chloe’s life is at stake. I have to find a way, and I will.

Roman: If there's any other way I can help...

Brady: Mm. Thank you, but you know what? With everybody out there looking for a bone marrow match for Chloe, it's going to happen. I know it. And when she gets her transplant, I'm going to throw Chloe the biggest celebration Salem’s ever seen.

Roman: She's a very lucky girl, having you in her corner.

[Cellular phone rings]

Brady: Oh, sorry, I really have to take this. Hello.

Chloe: Brady, hi.

Brady: Chloe, what's up?

Chloe: I know I saw you at the loft earlier, but if you're not too busy, I really need to talk to you. It's important.

Brady: Where are you?

Chloe: My house.

Brady: Okay. Um, I-I'll be there. That was, uh, that was Chloe. I-I have to go.

Roman: All right, well, thanks for the beer.

Brady: Hey, thank you for everything. I appreciate it.

Roman: No problem.

Roman: He's in love, and he doesn't even know it.

Shawn-d: What was dozer doing?

Belle: Shawn, dozer came into my room, and Philip and I -- watch out!

Cynthia: Dozer, knock it off!

Philip: Shawn, calm down! He's drunk!

Shawn-d: Stay out of it, all right?

Dozer: Belle's bed buddy!

Philip: I got him, I got him.

Belle: Let Philip handle it. My room now!

Philip: God --

Cynthia: He's hurt.

Philip: Well, at least you can't feel any pain.

Belle: Are you okay?

Shawn-d: Yeah.

Belle: How did it start?

Shawn-d: Dozer said some things about you.

Belle: Like what?

Shawn-d: What was Philip doing in your room?

Belle: Shawn, don't start that again.

Shawn-d: You said you were coming up here looking for a camera. Why didn't you just tell me you were coming up to see Philip?

Belle: Because I wasn't coming to see Philip. I didn't know he was in my room.

Shawn-d: Okay, what was he doing here?

Belle: He saw Brady and Chloe together -- close together -- and it freaked him out.

Shawn-d: He's got to start facing facts sometime, okay?

Belle: That's all you can say? He's our friend, and he's hurting. At least I know how he feels.

Shawn-d: Oh, here we go, back to Jan!

Belle: Do we have to fight, too? Philip needs both of us.

Shawn-d: You know what? He didn't exactly come looking for me.

Belle: He just wanted a place to be alone.

Shawn-d: Oh, it just so happened to be in your room, yeah.

Philip: I thought she'd be at the homecoming party, not upstairs.

Shawn-d: How's dozer?

Philip: Oh, he's going to have a pretty good shiner. Look, I don't want to cause problems for you two.

Belle: Thanks for stopping the fight.

Philip: I'm just glad I could help you for a change.

Cynthia: Nice work, dozer. It looks like there's trouble in heartbreaker land.

Dozer: Oh, my head.

Cynthia: I'll fix it.

Dozer: Shawn's going to pay for this.

Cynthia: And so will belle.

Philip: Are you two okay?

Belle: Yeah. How are you doing?

Philip: A lot better, thanks to you.

. -------------------- -- -----------

Marlena: Oh, good, agent spector is here. Uh, you can take the twins to their room while I talk with Tony.

Cassie: No, I'm never going back in there. You promised we could leave.

Russell: And you can, as soon as we make arrangements.

Cassie: Well, he has a home for us now.

Rex: Belle's mother said he wasn't a friend.

Cassie: Are you a friend?

Tony: I'd like to be your friend.

Rex: Who are you?

Tony: My name is Tony dimera. It's nice to meet you, rex, Cassie.

Cassie: Everyone thinks that we're connected to a bad man... because of these.

Rex: Are you a bad man?

[Dance music playing]

Mimi: So, what are you majoring in?

Boy: Uh, business.

Mimi: Business -- good for you.

Cynthia: Your eye looks really red.

Dozer: I'll kill him.

Cynthia: Put this on.

Dozer: Not with that.

Margot: Put that away. We could lose our party privileges. Someone said there was a fight.

Cynthia: I'll say. Shawn took off after dozer.

Girl: Why?

Dozer: I just tried to tell him a few home truths.

Cynthia: Dozer caught belle and Philip going at it in her room. Poor Shawn. It's not like it's the first time belle and Philip have been together.

Mimi: Oh, god, that's such a lie.

Cynthia: You were there, meems. You saw Philip in belle's room in his underwear.

Mimi: Belle wasn't even in her room when that happened.

Cynthia: Where was she, getting it on with some other guy while Philip was trying to find his pants?

Mimi: Oh, you are so pathetic, you know that? Stupid, obnoxious, and a total waste of time.

Cynthia: Belle is going wild with all the guys now that she's the new heartbreaker.

Mimi: Belle, you need to do some damage control here.

Belle: Why?

Cynthia: There's our little heartbreaker now!

[Students murmuring]

Belle: What is going on?

Cynthia: You know, when you were first elected house heartbreaker, I was positive that they had chosen the wrong person. But you know, after today, you have definitely proven me wrong. You're a heartbreaker, all the way.

Mimi: Pull in your fangs, Cynthia.

Cynthia: Shawn, we all feel so sorry for you.

Philip: You bitch.

Shawn-d: Cynthia, shut up.

Dozer: Hey, hey, don't talk to Cynthia like that.

Belle: Stop fighting. This is supposed to be a party. Why isn't anyone dancing?

Belle: Mimi, Philip...

Mimi: Hmm?

Belle: Hey, let's put some ice on your hand.

Shawn-d: Can we just get out of here?

Belle: Shawn, if we leave now, Cynthia wins.

Dozer: Don't think this is over.

Shawn-d: You know, you're stupid and you're drunk, so go away.

Cynthia: Dozer!

Shawn-d: Just leave. Leave.

Cynthia: Dozer, forget it.

Shawn-d: I'll tell you one thing -- I'm putting in for a new roommate.

Margot: I need you for a photo with last year's heartbreaker.

Belle: Right now?

Shawn-d: Go ahead. I'm okay.

Belle: I'll be right back.

Cynthia: I'm telling you, if you want to hit Shawn where it hurts, go after belle. Wreck belle's reputation and you pay Shawn back big time.

Mimi: Ground control to Philip. Come in, Philip.

Philip: I don't feel like dancing, meems.

Mimi: Yeah, no kidding.

Philip: Hey, it's not you, okay?

Mimi: Ah. So, what happened with you and belle, huh?

Philip: No offense, but that's none of your business.

Mimi: It is too. Cynthia's making it sound like my best friend is the slut of Salem U.

Philip: It's Chloe. Something happened, and belle was the only one I could turn to. I was holing up in her room waiting 'cause I had no place else to go and belle comes up and... She was listening. That's it. She was listening. And then dozer busted in.

Belle: Hey, um, have you seen Shawn?

Mimi: Oh, uh, not in the last few minutes.

Cynthia: Now's your chance. Go after her.

Philip: You okay?

Belle: Yeah, yeah, I just -- I had to take a photo a few minutes ago, and now I can't find him.

Philip: I don't know. I-I don't know.

Belle: Hey, penny, have you seen Shawn?

Penny: No, sorry.

Belle: Shawn, are you up here? I can't believe I left my door open. What a day.

[Sighs] And I thought a homecoming was going to be fun.

[Sighs]

Dozer: The day is young.

Brady: Chloe. What's up? Are you okay?

Chloe: Yeah, I'm fine.

Brady: Chloe, um...

Chloe: Brady, I needed to --

Brady: Ha ha. Go ahead. You first.

Chloe: I need to tell you something. I wanted to say it before, but I couldn’t.

Tony: I'm not a bad man.

Cassie: Do you know who is?

Tony: Well, some people believe my father was bad, but he's gone.

Rex: Gone where?

Tony: He's dead.

Marlena: I'm not sure they understand the concept of death.

Cassie: Do you really want to give us a home?

Tony: Why, yes, I do. I want to help you in any way I can, and I will, because I've been named your guardian.

John: There's been a change in plans.

Marlena: Thank heaven, john.

Tony: Oh, john, please don't try to stop this.

John: I made a few phone calls, and I talked to a judge higher up than the one you obviously bribed. Looks like your so-called guardianship deal is now null and void. Cassie and rex, you're going to stay here until we have a higher hearing.

Cassie: No, I want a home like belle and Shawn.

Tony: Of course you do.

Marlena: Cassie, rex, you will have a home, I promise you.

Rex: Why can't we go now with him?

John: 'Cause we want to make sure that you're going to remain safe. No court in the country is going to give you custody, Tony. I'm going to make sure of that.

Mimi: Shawn, belle's been looking all over for you.

Shawn-d: Where is she?

Mimi: Huh, well, she was just here a minute ago. I don't know. How's your hand?

Shawn-d: I'll be okay. I'm just going to put some ice on it later.

Mimi: Philip told me what happened.

Shawn-d: I lost it. Dozer said some things about belle, and... if Philip hadn't been there, I really would have pounded him.

Penny: You were defending belle.

Shawn-d: You know what? I messed up, okay? Whatever I seem to do these days to try and make things right with belle, it never seems to work out.

Mimi: Tell her, not me. Hey, if I know belle, she's probably up in her room right now, all depressed, waiting for you to go up there and make up.

Shawn-d: Thanks.

Philip: Hey, Cynthia, you need to knock off the belle bashing.

Cynthia: If it isn't the heartbreaker's one-night stand.

Philip: You spread any more dirt about belle, and I'll make sure everyone on campus knows what a pariah you are.

Cynthia: Shouldn't Shawn be defending his lady love? Or has there been a change of guard since Chloe finally dumped you?

Shawn-d: [Thinking] I can't blow this. I've got to forget about everything except how much I love belle. Nothing else matters.

Brady: You know, Chloe, you can -- you can tell me anything. You know that.

Chloe: Things have changed since we got back to Salem.

Brady: For us?

Chloe: Yeah. But for Nancy and Craig, too. They asked me not to tell you when I came by to see you earlier, but I had a talk with Craig, and he said that I should tell you because you've been so involved, you know, in trying to help me find a bone marrow donor.

Brady: Did you find a bone marrow donor?

Chloe: It's possible.

Brady: Well, how soon do you find out?

Chloe: In about nine months. Nancy's pregnant. I'm going to have a little brother or sister who could be a match. Isn't that fantastic?

Brady: Are you serious?! That's fantastic! Yeah! Ha ha. That's the best news ever. You know something? You were right with what you said earlier. In love, there's hope.
