Jack: Severe, sudden, sudden, severe, severe, sudden -- the sudden severe summer storm is causing flash floods, power outages throughout the city, leaving the citizens with no relief from the heat. Electric wires are down on the roadways causing -- causing highway accidents with no end in sight.
Woman: We'll get you --
Tony: Excuse me. I need to see Dr. Murphy. It's urgent.
Woman: Dr. Murphy is not on duty tonight.
Tony: I've got to get a hold of him right away.
Jack: I'd like to get a hold of him myself before he has his way with Jennifer.
Colin: Shall we drink to second chances?
Jennifer: Oh, yes. And -- and to stormy times.
Colin: Some things are meant to be.
Jennifer: Well, getting stranded here for the night is definitely not one of them.
Colin: I must have got lucky.
Jennifer: Or maybe you planned it all along. You better not be pulling another fast one, Colin Murphy.
[Thunder crashes]
Shawn-D: What is it?
Belle: A key. Hey, why are you two fighting?
Shawn-D: What -- what is it, Cassie? Is it this? Is it -- is it this?
Belle: Shawn, okay, maybe they had this key at some point and maybe they lost it.
Shawn-D: Yeah, but they seem intense about it, okay? So...

John: Come on, black. Somehow you got to find out what this key unlocks.
Brady: Dad, what's up?
John: I got some news about Chloe 's biological father.
Philip: Chloe 's fine, Dr. Wesley. She's sleeping. Yeah, no problem. I can stay as long as you need. All right, I値l tell her, and you tell Mrs. Wesley not to worry. Everything's under control here. All right, I値l see you.
Philip: I値l take care of you forever, Chloe .
Philip: Hey.
Chloe : Hey.
Philip: Are you ready for a surprise?
Chloe : You mean other than waking up and finding you're still here?
Philip: You better get used to me hanging around. Now that you're better, we can start working on some real plans.

Brady: Come in. Did you find Chloe 's father yet?
John: No. It's more complicated than I thought. My sources haven't turned up much more than what Dr. Wesley's private investigator did.
Brady: Well, what did you turn up?
John: Well, I got a friend at the state department who traced Dr. Sykes's passport. Last time it was used for travel was 1991. After that, he let it lapse and he never renewed it.
Brady: So you think he's dead, is that it?
John: There's no evidence that says he's dead.
Brady: How could a guy just disappear?
John: There are ways, son. If you got enough money and you got the right contacts, you can buy yourself a new identity.
Brady: See, the Wesleys' private investigator said that Frederick Sykes doesn't have the resources to do that.
John: Well, he did something. You know, I知 kind of wondering if maybe he didn't get himself in trouble with the law somehow. You know, had to go underground for a while.
Brady: Do you have contacts that can confirm that?
John: Unless he's in a witness protection program.
Brady: Even if he is in a witness protection program. He's got a new identity, a place to hide out. Can he still be tracked down?
John: Well, we're working on that, but you know, these witness protection programs are pretty tough nuts to crack.
Brady: We got to do everything, dad.
John: Don't worry. I知 not giving up on it, son.
Brady: Thank you. I appreciate that.
John: You're a good friend.
Brady: I知 trying to be, but --
john: But what?
Brady: Chloe prefers to be around people who think she's just fine, like finding a bone marrow match isn't important anymore now that she's in remission.
John: Who's acting like that?
Brady: Philip.
John: Ah.
Brady: It's like you read everywhere -- in simple medical books and on the internet about this illness. If Chloe 's leukemia comes back, her chances for survival aren't very good. He's got her living in denial, dad, and it's a big mistake. It's a mistake.
Chloe : The sound of the rain is so comforting.
Philip: It is when you're safe inside. Remember that time we got caught in a storm? Man... We didn't know then everything we were going to have to face during the year. But we got through it together. That's proof that we can get through anything. I mean, look at you now -- already in remission, out of the hospital, getting better and stronger every day, just like our love for each other. You're going to be fine, Chloe .
Chloe : You really believe that, don't you?
Philip: No question about it. We're going to have the future we've always dreamed of.

Shawn-D: You're scaring her.

Jack: Okay, Jennifer's in trouble. Time to get her out of there.
Philip: We've both done things we're sorry for... Things we wish would have never happened.

Philip: Well, our night in the stables was -- it was like the best of times and the worst of times, to see if we had staying power, and we do. Things have never been better between us, and it's all happening while you're facing one of the biggest challenges anyone goes through.

Brady: You know, dad, I was really freaked out the first time I saw mom, but then I realized that she may be the best chance Chloe has for a cure because she understands.
John: Son, it makes sense that you would sense your mother's presence here. What happened to your mom is pretty much what Chloe 's going through right now.

[Thunder crashes]

John: This storm's been knocking power out all over the city all night long.
Brady: No, it's more than that, dad. Ever since I've moved in here, strange things have been happening. I知 talking about pictures moving by themselves, messages showing up on my computer. You're looking at me like I知 crazy.
John: No, son, I知 just trying to understand, that's all. Let me tell you something. There were -- there were times after Izzy B. Died that I sensed her close to me, usually when I -- well, when I just wanted to feel her love surrounding me, she was always there.
Brady: So you do believe me.
John: I believe that your mother's love for you is stronger than death, and I am certain that her spirit is still with you.

Tony: Where the hell have you been?
Colin: Let's get one thing straight -- I am not at your beck and call.
Tony: You're in this as deep as I am. Do you think I came all the way down here in the storm if it wasn't urgent?!
Jack: Jen, whoa. Shh, shh, shh, shh. It's me, it's me.
Jennifer: You're a little late, don't you think?
Jack: What, that's all the thanks I get for saving you?

Jack: That pin -- it worked like a charm! I heard your sos when Colin was making the moves on you, and I sent him out there.

Shawn-D: It must've been a bad dream.
Belle: Or something very real she doesn't have words for.
John: So Chloe 's life is in danger, and DiMera's threatening the people I love. I wish you could reach out and help us, Izzy B. This key is the answer to what we're up against, but I値l be damned if I know how to find the secret it unlocks.
Brady: I knew you were here.
Isabella: I had a feeling you needed me.
Brady: Well, don't go anywhere, okay? I知 going to go get dad.
Isabella: Don't.
Brady: But he doesn't believe me.
Isabella: Your father's mind and heart are someplace else right now. He can't see me.
Brady: Well, can't you just do something to get his attention, like you did for me?

Philip: Just like our night in the stables. Stormy outside, everything in here safe and quiet.

Philip: Well, you know, we can pretend it did.

Jennifer: Look, if we're going to uncover Colin's connection to Tony DiMera, we're just going to have to put all personal feelings, fears, and reservations on hold, so I can do what I need to do to get this story done and bring those two to justice.
Tony: John black saw you looking at the satellite photos.
Tony: No, I think Sami tipped him off. That's why he came to the mansion unannounced, you see.
Colin: Well, what did you tell him?
Tony: I made up some malarkey about natural resource management -- viewing the environment from satellites. And you wouldn't you know it -- he decided to volunteer and join the project.
Colin: He wants to work with you.
Tony: It's a done deal. I said I'd be delighted. He even has a name for the joint venture. It's called the Gemini project.
Colin: That's weird.
Tony: I think he was testing me with the name to see if I would react.
Colin: Why?
Tony: Much as I hate to admit it, I think john is way ahead of us in figuring out what this key is all about.
Colin: You need to get it back.
Tony: Oh, no kidding. I got to get john on my side, so he will trust me, let me know what he knows and possibly then, maybe he'll even give the key back to its rightful owner.
Colin: Don't hold your breath.
Belle: I bet this key is what Cassie's nightmare was about.
Shawn-D: Could be.
Belle: It would be great if we could get our hands on it. If we could, I have a feeling we could solve this whole mystery -- who they are, where they came from.
John: Well, whatever this key unlocks, it affects all of us, which is why I値l never let Tony get his hands on it again. Hmm. I swear, before I let that happen, I will destroy this thing myself.
Chloe: I知 sorry. I can't do this.
Philip: It's okay. It's okay. Here, just let me hold you. Come here. Make a wish.
Chloe: I wish that it could stay like this forever.
Philip: It can. We're forever, Chloe.
Chloe: Promise?
Philip: I promise.
Brady: You keep saying that I can help Chloe, but how? You got to tell me what to do.
