Belle: Everyone from school is calling, and they're curious about how you're doing.

Belle: Well, our dad is throwing my mom an early anniversary party.

Chloe: Sounds like fun.

Brady: Yep. [Blows noisemaker] Well, not really for me. I'm sorry. I'm actually thinking about not going, maybe staying here and hanging out.

Chloe: Here?

Brady: Yeah, with you. Please say yes. Come on, you'd be doing me a huge favor.

Craig: Thank you, Dr. Herman. Thank you. I, um, I’ll check in again with you tomorrow. Thanks.

Nancy: How bad is it?

Craig: Dr. Herman's, uh, he's checked over Chloe's test results, and, well, he's confident that the first round of chemotherapy can push her leukemia into remission, but --

Nancy: Then he can cure her completely.

Craig: It's not that easy, sweetheart.

Nancy: Okay, what does that mean? What's the bad news, Craig?

John: Kate, knowing you, I'm sure it's going to be perfection. Mm-hmm. We'll see you soon.

Caprice: Well, John, sounds like everything's ready.

John: That's a fact, Caprice. Now, all we have to do is keep this from Marlena.

Abe: Yeah, well, reliable sources including John Black, are convinced DiMera's on the move. Well, let me know as soon as he's sighted.

Jack: Would you like to go on record that Stefano DiMera is returning to Salem?

Roman: Hey, Sami. What's the hurry?

Sami: I have to talk to Abe, Dad.

Roman: What about?

Sami: His wife.

Roman: What's Lexie done now?

Sami: She's broken her marriage vows, Dad. She's shacking up with Brandon Walker at the Salem Inn.

Lexie: Ha ha! I was right. My father's coming home -- tonight.

Brandon: What does the note say?

Lexie: "Alexandra, meet me at the Penthouse Grill tonight."

Brandon: It's typewritten. And it's not even signed. How do you know it's from your father?

Lexie: It's my family's stationery, custom-made in Europe. Ah, I can't believe it. My father is coming back to Salem tonight.

Celeste: And you're going to stay away from him.

Woman: Hey, Jen. What's up?

Jennifer: Um, just came to pick up my takeout order.

Woman: Okay, let me check and see if it's ready.

Bo: Hey, Jen.

Hope: Hey, Jen. Hi.

Jennifer: Oh, hi. When did you get back?

Bo: Just now.

Jennifer: Oh, that's great. Where's Zack?

Hope: He's upstairs with Caroline and Grandpa Shawn.

Jennifer: How did it go? How did he do on the boat?

Bo: H-he did great.

Jennifer : [Laughs]

Hope: He got used to it, but I think he's really happy to be home.

Bo: Yeah.

Jennifer: Well, I am so happy to have you guys home, you don't even know.

Colin: Only those of us who don't know better.

Hope: Colin, hi.

Colin: And why you two didn't?

Bo: Didn't what? What are you talking about?

Colin: Coming home now with your baby -- big mistake.

Chloe: I'm sorry, Brady. You can't use me as an excuse to bail on your family party.

Brady: So you're not going to rescue me?

Chloe: I'm fine, really.

Belle: Who bought you these roses?

Brady: Okay. Philip's taking care of the movies, but I'm taking care of the music. I got you -- buried in this bag -- a portable CD player, and I made you a mix with some songs -- some classical, some not.

Chloe: I appreciate it.

Belle: Mimi and I brought you some magazines and some books. You know what, Mimi? I didn't pick up the newest issue of "Bella," and it's got that great write-up on all those summer fashions.

Mimi: Oh, you know what? I bet the gift shop has a copy.

Belle: You're right. Let's go.

Mimi: Okay.

Brady: Bye.

Brady: Subtle, aren't they?

Chloe: Hey, how's your hand?

Brady: Oh, you know what? It's just a little cut. I'll live.

Chloe: Um, so, uh, what girl were you rescuing this time?

Brady: The only girl I want to rescue is you -- help you get better and get you out of here.

Chloe: But we both know that that might not happen.

Craig: Sweetie, the -- the DNA analysis of Chloe’s bone marrow shows that it's an aggressive form of leukemia. For a long-term cure, we're going to need to give her a bone marrow transplant. Dr. Herman's also tested our blood samples against Chloe’s, and...

They’re not a match, either. So... We can't be a donor.

Nancy: So, um, we have to find her father?

Craig: Um, yes, that, and we at least have to find out if he has had any other children. There's a 25% chance of a bone marrow match between siblings, but, Nancy, sweetheart, whatever your fears are now, whatever they may be, for Chloe’s sake, you're going to have to put them aside, and you're going to have to tell me who the father is, and you're going to have to tell me now.

Marlena: All righty then, you two, what is it you're trying to keep me from finding out?

John: Well, all right, if you want to know. I've been kind of a brat lately, and... I wanted to surprise you with a night out at the Penthouse Grill.

Marlena: Oh, that sounds great. Oh, we can't do it.

Roman: Sami, whatever is going on between Lexie and Brandon is none of your business. Now, your mother's surprise party is tonight. Why don't you just go, try to enjoy yourself, okay?

Sami: Not until I talk to Abe.

Abe: Where do you get off barging in here?

Jack: There's a story here. Stefano's coming back to town. The people of Salem have to be warned.

Abe: I know all about it, so mind your own business and stop gossiping about my wife! Back to work, all of you! Roman, I need to see you.

Jack: Hey, Sami, look, dinner and drinks on me at the Blue Note if you tell me everything you know about Lexie and Brandon -- off the record, of course.

Sami: Sorry, Jack, but I already have plans for tonight. I'm going to the Penthouse Grill to celebrate my mom and John's anniversary.

Jack: John Black, Stefano's nemesis.

Jack: Sami, you got to take me to that party as your date.

Bo: What Hope and I do is none of your business.

Colin: Under normal circumstances, that would be true. But since I heard there's a possibility that DiMera could be coming back to Salem, wouldn't it be remiss of me not to give you a heads-up?

Bart: Oh, more than a possibility, Bradys. Get ready to run.

Bo: The Bradys have been dealing with DiMera for years. We're still here. He's the one who's on the run, not us.

Hope: So, we're going to go on with our lives as a family.

Bo: In fact, tonight we're going to have an anniversary party for John and Marlena at the Penthouse Grill. And I'll tell you something. Nothing is going to stop us from having that celebration.

Bart: I better let Rolfsky know the guest list -- or should I say hit list? -- Is expanding.

Colin: Going to a party where all of Stefano's enemies are assembled into one room.

Bo: I know how to protect the people I love. I sure as hell don't need your advice.

Colin: Suit yourself, but if it all blows up in your face, don't say I didn't warn you.

Brady: See, Chloe, the trick is, no matter how scared you are, you can't let the fear take over. You're going to beat this thing.

Chloe: This thing is called leukemia, Brady.

[Knock on door]

Belle: I got the new "Bella."

Mimi: And the TV listings. There are some good flicks on tonight.

Chloe: Thanks. Look, I don't want you two to be late to your party because of me.

Belle: You know what? We should be going.

Craig: Nancy.

Nancy: I was 19, and a freshman in college. I was home on break from school after you and I had had that terrible fight about my father.

Craig: I remember.

Nancy: I thought our relationship was over. My parents had no idea how much I loved you. They just said it was puppy love and that I’d get over you, and I should just move on. [Sighs] Anyway, my mom and dad gave this dinner party, and he was there. He was a friend of the family. He was a doctor that my father worked with. I had no --

Craig: It's okay.

Nancy: Anyway, he could see that I was depressed, and he asked me what was wrong. And I told him. Craig, he listened, and he seemed sympathetic. Well, my parents went to bed, and, um, I told him everything about you, how much I loved you. And all the while I was talking, he just kept filling my glass. Anyway, when I, um, realized that I had had too much to drink, he said, "let's go for a drive. We'll get some coffee. You'll feel so much better."

Nancy: Only we never got -- we never got coffee. We, um, ended up at his house, and -- and that's where -- that's where it happened.

Craig: I'm sorry, sweetheart. I'm sorry.

Abe: Well, our man at Salem Inn says that Celeste just checked into Lexie's room and Brandon Walker just left.

Roman: Any more news about Stefano?

Abe: Well, the underworld reports that he's breaking camp and headed this way.

Roman: All right. I'll take care of things here while you're at the party for John and Marlena, and I'll give you a call if we get any more reports about DiMera.

Abe: All right. Hold down the fort, huh?

Roman: Yeah.

John: Well, Marlena, I just -- I want to keep things on track with us. You don't want to go to dinner with me?

Marlena: Yes, I do. Caprice is staying with us. We can't just leave her here by herself.

John: That's not any problem. I'll just -- I’ll call the grill and I'll change the reservations for three. How about that?

Marlena: All right. That'll work great.

John: All right, that'll work.

Marlena: We'll get ourselves changed. Right now, we're getting changed. Here we go. We're going to the grill!

Caprice: Oh, what am I going to wear?

John: Oh, I love you, doc, and this is going to be the greatest anniversary celebration we have ever had.

Jennifer: Oh, now wait one minute. We can't forget this guy.

Hope: We mustn't do that. It's Zack's favorite.

Bo: Well, I thought this would scare him, but he loves it.

Bart: And Bozo's going to love his new home, watching and listening to everything that goes on in Brady land.

Jack: Bo, Bo, welcome back.

Jack: It's good to see you.

Hope: Hey, Jack. Hi.

Jack: If you'll excuse me, I just need to talk to Jennifer for a moment. I am so glad I found you.

Jennifer: What is going on?

Jack: Stefano is on the move. There's a chance -- just a chance -- that he is headed this way to Salem. I overheard Abe talking about it on the phone at the police station.

Jennifer: The Bradys suspect the same thing. Okay, we got to get facts, we got to get a lot of information.

Jack: John Black is the mother lode when it comes to info on the DiMeras. He's having a big party tonight at the penthouse grill.

Jennifer: Yes, the anniversary party.

Jack: I was thinking maybe we just happen to show up having dinner -- a working dinner -- and if something happens to happen...

Jennifer: Like DiMera showing up.

Jack: The "Spectator" will get the story.

Jennifer: And the other newspapers will eat our dust.

Hope: Okay, that's it. We have so many gifts.

Bo: Let's take this load to the car, and we'll come back for the rest.

Jennifer: Okay, and Abby is with Gram tonight, so I’m just going to pick them up some takeout, and I'm going to run home and change.

Nancy: As soon as we got to his house, I had a very bad feeling. It was dark, and nobody else was home. I wanted to leave, but then he started asking me about you again. I couldn't even say your name without crying. So he held me. But then... he started...kissing me, and I tried to push him away. I tried to run to the door, Craig. I tried to get away, but he grabbed me, and he... threw me down. He tore my clothes... and then I felt him break the necklace you gave to me. And I felt the chain slide to the f-floor. And -- and I begged him, "Please stop. Please don't do this. Please stop," but -- and then he hurt...me. He raped...me.

Bo: Hey.

Abe: You know, that cousin of yours is very secretive about his past in Ireland. Is it possible he might have some connection to the branch of the DiMera organization that's located there?

Bo: I don't know. But the more I get to know cousin Colin, the less I trust him. Ah, speak of the devil.

Colin: Oh, with that dress and that body, you'll be the envy of every woman in this place.

Nicole: Ah, and here I thought you only had eyes for Jennifer. Now, why are we really here?

Colin: Um... Table for Dr. Murphy?

Man: Yes, sir. Table is ready. Follow me, please.

Jack: It seems Dr. Blarney has found himself a new campfire girl.

Jennifer: Well, you know what? I could care less about Colin and his love life. The only reason I am here is to get the scoop on Stefano DiMera.

Jack: Right.

Marlena: Time to get dressed.

John: Well, we know how devastated you both are by her illness, and we're very grateful that you could be here.

Belle: Like we would miss your anniversary party.

John: Ah. Well, we just want to have a great celebration, not just for doc and me, but for everybody that we love.

Nicole: I know we didn't come here for some romantic dinner, so what's going on?

Colin: Trust me, Nicole, the only person I’m interested in tonight is you.

John: To my beautiful wife in celebration of all the years we've spent together. I've cherished every one.

Bo: That's a good start.

Hope: That's very sweet.

I mean, he drove me home when he was through like nothing had happened, and I stood in the shower, and I scrubbed, Craig, and I scrubbed till I thought my skin was going to come off.

Nancy: And I thought that if I didn't talk about it, if I didn't tell anybody, that maybe everything would be okay and I could go back to school and I could get back with you. At least I thought I could. But then I -- then I found out that I was pregnant... With Chloe.

Nicole: I come back to the table and you're gone. Why are you hiding out?

Colin: I had to call the hospital. I hate using a cell phone in the middle of a restaurant. So what did you find out from our brother?

Nicole: Nothing. I have a feeling you know more about Lexie's mystery guest than Brandon does.

Brandon: Sorry to keep you ladies waiting.

Celeste: Well, that's quite all right, Brandon.

Lexie: Sit down. Let's order some champagne.

Brandon: There's, uh... something I have to take care of first, but I'll be right back.

Roman: Ladies and gentlemen, need your attention. Sorry to disturb your meal. I'm Captain Roman Brady, Salem Police Department. We've had a fire back in the kitchen. Nothing to panic about. Everything's under control. The fire department's on the way. Like I said, there's absolutely no danger, but we need for everybody to leave.

Abe: Look, I'm Commander Abe Carver, Salem Police Department. Now, all the uniformed officers will escort you to the streets, and thank you for your cooperation.

Marlena: Oh, my goodness.

Kate: John, it's a shame. I wish --

John: Yes, it's very unfortunate. Look, I don't have the time to talk here, so for safety reasons, let's just clear the building, all right?

Kate: That's a good idea.

John: I'm going to get Belle and Brady.

Marlena: Yes, of course. I'll, uh... Sami? Where's Sami?

Roman: All right. That should be about everybody.

Bo: Have you seen Hope?

Roman: Not since I made the announcement.

Bo: Damn, I got to find her.

Roman: All right, you check the room. I'll call down and see if she's there.

Nicole: You heard what the police said. Let's get out of here.

Colin: I'm sorry to disappoint you, Nicole, but this is too important. I'm not going anywhere.

Jack: I looked in that kitchen. There was no fire. And something else is going on.

Jennifer: All right. We are not leaving here until we find out what is going on. Now let's go.

Jack: Okay.

Bo: Hope, come on. You got to get out of here.

Bo: Not possible. Come on.

Hope: There's no fire, is there? Look at this. There's a DiMera listed in the reservation book, and it's not Lexie.
