[Dance music playing]
All alone I must stand even when I'm running
and it feels like a dream I need to awaken from
I believe when it hurts we must keep on trying but I want...
Mimi: They so belong together. I just hope our plan works tonight.
There's a bridge I need to burn before I leave
I just wanna breathe again like a summer's day
I need to feel the heat again
[Students murmuring]
Shawn: You okay?
Chloe: I'm fine, why?
Shawn: Oh, I just think everyone's surprised to see us here together, that's all.
Chloe: I don't care what people think. Oh, look, here's another couple no one expected to see.
Then maybe I could stop
the leaves from falling
I only wanna learn
to freeze the flame
Celeste: Abraham, any news?
Abe: No, no. Lexie didn't take a train or a plane. I don't suppose you have a hint.
Celeste: Oh, God, I can't concentrate or get past my own fear. My daughter, she's -- she's not in her right mind. Alexandra is out there alone.
Abe: Well, she might not be alone.
Celeste: Oh, my God, did Stefano help her escape from the hospital?
Abe: I don't have any evidence yet, but I find it hard to believe that Lexie's capable of escaping from a lockdown unit without someone's help.
Celeste: You know, Abraham, I do have one hint. Every time I close my eyes and I try to -- I try to think of where she might be, I-I see this flash of water.
Abe: We've already checked out the docks, but... Oh, my God.
Celeste: What?
Abe: This is Commander Carver. I want an all-car alert. I think I know where my wife is.
Lexie: No! No! Let me go!
Brandon: No. I'm not going to let you hurt yourself. Lexie, look at me. You matter to me. You matter to so many people.
Lexie: Brandon, I wasn't trying to end it all! I was trying to get to my little boy! You see that boat? It's Bo and Hope's. They just sailed off with my baby.
Brandon: What, and you're going to swim after them? God, you have lost it.
Lexie: I am not crazy!
[Sirens wailing]
Lexie: Oh, my God, they found us. My God. My God.
Brandon: Come on, let's go.
Jennifer: This looks more like "Hansel and Gretel" than a hit man's house.
Colin: "Hansel and Gretel" -- that wasn't exactly a happy story, was it? Whoa, whoa, wait. Let me.
Colin: Are you sure this is where Jack said he was?
Jennifer: Yeah. Yeah, I know this is it. The full moon B&B in Ogden.
Colin: So if you heard a gunshot when he telephoned you, I wonder where the gun is, not to mention the shooter. Not to mention Jack, who may or may not have been the shooter.
Jennifer: Well, maybe we need to look around and see if we can find a clue.
Jennifer: What's that? What does it say?
Colin: "Deveraux must die."
Iris: Move! Move!
Jack: Wait a minute. H-how did you get in here?
Iris: I had an out-of-body experience -- the kind you're about to have.
Jack: You know, you're not going to get away with this. The police will be here any minute.
Iris: Going, going, gone Dever-ox. It's time you and your blonde were reunited on the other side.
Jack: No, please, no. Aah! Aah! Wait! Hey, what do you know? Adjoining rooms. This must be some kind of a secret passage. Aah! Sami, no.
Sami: Am I that tough to look at, Jack? They haven't killed me yet, no thanks to you.
Harry: Looks like we're underestimating our guests, sweetheart. They're playing hard to kill.
Iris: Oh, no, no, no, that's just part of the fun, sugar. Ha ha. This game is not over, not until we win.
[Both laughing]
Jack: Point that flashlight the other way. Sami, what happened to you?
Sami: Psycho Harry came after me with a gun, Jack. I managed to knee him and get away, but I've been screaming for your help, and did you answer? No, you didn't.
Jack: Excuse me. I was looking down the barrel of a loaded gun myself. You know, there is more than one homicidal senior citizen out there. I'm telling you, she is a wolf in grandma's clothing.
Sami: Well, I don't care if they're out there. We can't stay in here.
Jack: We're getting out of here, Sami. We are, and we're going to do it alive and kicking.
Sami: That sounds really good, Jack, but I just have one simple question for you.
Jack: What?
Sami: How?
Bridge I need to burn
before I leave
I just wanna breathe again
Shawn: She said she wasn't coming, and now she's here with Philip?
Mimi: Hi, Philip. Hi, Belle.
Belle: Okay, now I get it. Philip drags me here, Chloe drags Shawn here. You guys set this up, didn't you?
Philip: Belle, it's your prom, your last night at Salem High.
Mimi: Yeah, you had to come.
Belle: Listen, I understand what you guys are trying to do, but you're wasting your time. Shawn and I will never be together.
Brandon: Are you okay? I've never seen anybody run so fast. Hey...
Lexie: [Sobbing]
Brandon: You're okay now. You're here with me. You're safe.
Man: Commander, a woman answering Lexie's description was just seen at the Brady boat slip, just like you said, but she evaded capture.
Abe: Oh, damn it.
Man: Also... She was with a male companion.
Abe: Description.
Man: 6 feet, maybe brown and brown. They didn't get a good look at him.
Abe: Okay. Okay, so we know from the harbor master that no boats beside the "Fancy Face" launched tonight. So if Lexie and, uh... And her male companion were planning on giving chase, well, that's not going to happen now. Okay, let's, uh, focus our search on dry land -- waterfront bars and any place that people might go to disappear. Find out if Brandon Walker is at home. 'Cause if he's not, there's no coincidence that I found him in the psych ward not long before Lexie disappeared.
Celeste: You know, Abraham, I know you think Brandon is with Alexandra, but, now, before you get carried away -- and I'm not one to eavesdrop -- but when we were at the hospital earlier, I overheard Brandon and Jennifer talking about going away for a romantic rendezvous.
Abe: I hope that doesn't happen, for Jennifer's sake. Let's find out for sure.
Jack: I'm thinking that the best way to get out of here is to exit the way that we entered. Don't you? I -- oh, no! Oh, no! Oh! Yi-yi-yi! It's not moving! I -- excuse me over there. Hello. Lost in thought? Help! Help! I --
[grunting]
Harry: Almost, iris. You ready?
Iris: Always, sugar.
Jack: Just a little harder, and I think we got 'em!
Sami: I can't.
Jack: [Panting] will.
Sami: What?
Jack: Will! Your son Will! What's going to happen to your child if we don't get out of here? Just -- that's all I'm thinking of right now -- Abigail. Push!
[Grunting]
Harry: Oh. I damn near broke my arm on that thing.
Iris: Oh, don't worry. Bad guests sometimes get away with bad behavior, but not for long.
[Both laughing]
Jack: [Grunts] Hold on.
Sami: Okay.
Jack: Hold on.
[Grunting] There, there.
Sami: Oh, great, Einstein. We can keep them out, but it also keeps us in. Now what?
Jack: [Sighs]
Jennifer: "Deveraux must die." Colin, we got --
Colin: Shh.
[Telephone rings]
Jennifer: [Gasps] oh, gee.
[Ring]
Colin: Hello?
Colin: I know exactly what's going on here.
Jennifer: I don't know if I want to know. But tell me, Colin, tell me.
'cause when love
ain't blessed
and it's laid to rest
it can leave a mess
Belle: Shawn.
Shawn: I'm going to go get you that punch.
Chloe: I'll come, too.
Mimi: Belle, you want to give Shawn a chance. I know you do, you know you do.
Belle: Mimi, stop, okay? I'm not going to ruin your night by asking you to take me home, but right now I just need to get some air.
Mimi: I don't believe her.
Philip: Well, look on the bright side, Meems. There's one good thing about this last blast.
Mimi: What?
Philip: There's no way it can get any worse.
Chloe: Are you all right? Okay, dumb question. But, Shawn, you could see that Belle felt bad that you overheard her. She didn't want to hurt you, and you know what that means. She still loves you, Shawn.
Shawn: I appreciate you coming over here, but I just need some time alone to think, all right?
Chloe: Sure.
Mr. Woods: Is there anything else you need?
Mimi: Something good to happen at the last blast for once. Look, I know I was the one who ruined it all last year, but I learned my lesson. I'm doing my time... By myself, as usual. Jan's off to Europe never to be seen again, so I guess it's worth it.
Mr. Woods: Mimi.
Mimi: Oh, come on, admit it. You couldn't stand her either.
Mr. Woods: Looks like you've got everything under control here. I have a feeling you will find a way to make the best of tonight, so enjoy.
Mimi: Yeah, right. Oh, my gosh! Let me help you. Uhh. Kevin, what are you doing?
Kevin: I signed up for hospitality duty.
Mimi: You did? But you love programming the video wall.
Kevin: There's something I love even more.
Belle: Chloe, great dress.
Chloe: You too. I'm glad it fit.
Belle: Yeah, I know. I can't believe my mom was in on this, too.
Chloe: Yeah, well, the last blast wouldn't be the same without you, Belle. And even if you're mad at us, I'm still glad that you're here. You're my best friend, and I need you now more than ever.
Belle: Now more than ever? Why? What's wrong?
Girl: Hey, I love the look. But, uh, who's it for?
Cynthia: We'll see.
Girl #2: I thought you were supposed to come here with Philip.
Cynthia: Oh... I dumped him.
Girl: Hmm. So that's why you're here alone and he's with a date?
Cynthia: Not Chloe?
Girl #2: No. Belle Black.
Philip: Hey, Shawn. Dude, listen, I only want to be with Chloe. You know that. I brought Belle so she could be with you.
Shawn: This is why Chloe asked me. Well, I appreciate you trying.
Philip: Belle didn't mean what she said, Shawn.
Shawn: Sure she did, man. She doesn't play games. I hurt her, and she doesn't want to be with me again. But at least it brought you and Chloe closer, right? So I hope you two find time to have a dance tonight.
Philip: Oh, we will, and so will you and Belle. This is our last last blast. Chloe said it this afternoon -- "seize the day." And that's exactly what we're going to do.
Lexie: So, still think I'm crazy? Think I should have let Abe string me out on psych meds and put me away forever?
Brandon: Look, I am a mental health professional. I believe in the system. I don't believe in drugging your nurse and walking off the ward in the middle of treatment. And we don't use the word "crazy," by the way -- though what you just did was a crazy risk to take. If you thought you were in trouble before, it is nothing compared to what you are in now. And it's going to cost you, Lexie.
Lexie: So you do think I need help. Tell me, Brandon, how am I supposed to act? Like I don't care that my little boy just celebrated his 2nd birthday without me? Am I supposed to just pretend that the last two years when he was mine never happened?
Brandon: You know I'm not saying that.
Lexie: Well, then what are you saying, huh? What sage counselor advice are you offering? I have a son out there who is scared and confused and probably very angry because he thinks that his mama abandoned him. Do you know how that could scar a child for the rest of his life? Yeah, of course you do, but yet you still said that I had to give Isaac back to his rightful parents. No one seems to see how wrong this is -- not my husband, my friends...
[Sobs] I wish my father would call me.
Brandon: Why do you think you haven't heard from him?
Lexie: I -- I don't know. I don't understand. I mean, he must know how much I need him. And he promised me that Isaac would never leave me, that he would never leave me. I know -- I know -- that he wouldn't say it if he didn't mean it. Where are you, father? Why aren't you here to help me?
Abe: No, no, Mrs. Horton. I'm sure -- I'm sure that Jennifer's fine. No, I-I just want to confirm the whereabouts of Brandon Walker. No. No, I mean, this is not in connection with a crime. It's -- it's a personal matter. No, believe me, you have no reason to be worried about Jennifer. Yeah. All right, thank you. Thank you. Good night. Good night. Well, you're right. Jennifer is with Brandon. You know... As much as I dislike the guy, part of me was hoping that Lexie was with him. It sure as hell beats the alternative.
Celeste: Stefano.
Jennifer: All right, so now we know what we're dealing with. We need to go. We need to find Jack. Colin.
Colin: We're not going anywhere without this.
Jennifer: Okay.
Jack: Aah!
Sami: Quiet, Jack. I'm trying to listen.
Jack: [Grunting]
[Gasping]
Sami: Jack, what's the matter?
Jack: Somebody tried to strangle me with a purple feather boa.
Sami: What?
Jack: Now I know it's Brandon.
Sami: Oh, because Brandon's into feathers and boas?
Jack: Look, he sent us here, didn't he? And he was in Vegas when Chauncey and Chico tried to put a hit on me because I had the briefcase full of stolen cash.
Sami: No, that's when you were into feathers and boas Jack.
Jack: Listen, they called me Dever-ox in Vegas, and so did Iris. Now, Chauncey and Chico are in the big house, but before they went, maybe they fingered me to some local wise guys.
Sami: Fingered you?
Jack: Jennifer's no-neck boyfriend tipped off the mob to put a hit on me. Now, I've done some checking -- you know that -- and I'm sure that our friend Mr. Walker has some connections in Chicago. I know how it sounds, but I am serious, dead serious.
Jack: And so are our endearing innkeepers.
Belle: What is it, Chloe? What's wrong?
Chloe: I guess I'm just being a little sentimental. You know, it's weird to think that this is the absolute last time that we'll all be together.
Belle: I know. I'd like to think that the people we care about would keep in touch. It won't be the same, but almost.
Chloe: And if you never see Shawn again?
Belle: Chloe, I know that you guys want us to get back together, and maybe what you did wasn't a total waste. Maybe you and Philip were supposed to work together. Do you think something might happen with you guys when we go to New York?
Chloe: I can't think about the future -- not now. Let's go find Mimi.
Cynthia: I believe you promised me a dance.
Philip: Why can't you leave me alone, Cynthia?
Cynthia: Get over yourself. I can't believe that I actually agree with Chloe on anything, but she's right -- you're a jerk.
Philip: You know, Jan's busted because I used you, and I know that's a bad reason to go out with a girl, but, uh, that's just the way it is.
Cynthia: Well, now you don't have me, you don't have Chloe --
Philip: Oh, but I will. I will have Chloe again before tonight is over.
Cynthia: Damn you, Philip. I'll make you pay for this.
Jason: Want a little help?
Mimi: So you're still speaking to me, hmm?
Belle: I know that you were just trying to help.
Mimi: Yeah. At least this last blast, I'm working for the good guys, and Jan's gone, so, Chloe, you don't have to worry about anything this year. Thanks for coming to visit me.
Belle: We thought you could use the company, and I wouldn't mind hanging out with you for the rest of the dance.
Chloe: Oh, hey.
Belle: Hi.
Kevin: Hi.
Mimi: Kev decided to volunteer, too. Actually -- well, I'm not really volunteering, but...
Belle: That is so sweet. I have to get a brownie over there.
Belle: You know, Chloe, that's exactly how love should be.
Chloe: Yeah, you're so right. And it could be that way, Belle.
Belle: For you.
Chloe: And you.
Belle: Chloe, a part of me does want that, but I can't go through that again. Shawn cheated on me with Jan. I didn't know him the way I thought I did, and I'll never be able to trust him the same way again. You know exactly what I'm talking about. You went through the same thing with Philip.
Chloe: You know, Belle, there were so many times that I thought, "This is it," but I couldn't get away, could I? And, I mean, this whole thing with Cynthia -- do you believe that in the end, I really don't even care anymore?
Philip: You mean we can get past that? Then we can be together again.
Jennifer: Oh, Colin. This is jack's bag, right here. I know it is. Let me check. Yeah, this is it. This is his stuff.
Jennifer: Where is he?
Colin: I hope you know what to do when you do find jack. Get him out of your life, Jennifer -- for good this time.
Jennifer: I just want to get this over with, okay?
Colin: Oh, it'll be all over with one way or another.
Jack: Give me your flashlight.
Sami: Can you get it? Is it locked? What's in there? What --
Jack: Aw.
Sami: What's all the cement for?
Jack: I don't know. Matching pairs of cement shoes with our names on them, probably. I mean, next we're going to be finding a horse's head in our bed.
[Horse whinnies]
Jack: Oh, great. I'll tell you, I didn't see a stable on the way in, but I'll bet you this place doubles as a glue factory, and right now, we are stuck in it.
Sami: There's got to be a way out of here.
Jack: I thought Brandon liked you.
Sami: He does, okay?
Jack: No, he doesn't.
Sami: He's just angry with me right now. He would not want to have me killed. It is not his fault that this has happened. It is not his fault that our sweet old innkeepers are really homicidal maniacs.
Jack: Oh, please, Sami. Sami.
Sami: Let me show you something.
Jack: You don't know what you're talking about.
Sami: Oh, just give me your flashlight. Read it.
Jack: "He's dead, and you're next." You're shivering. Sami, what -- what is it?
Sami: I have feelings, okay, Jack? And I am scared, okay? I was sentenced to die, and I didn't. I was supposed to change my life, and I didn't, so maybe this is my time.
Jack: Look, Sami... Sami, I-I am not going to let you die, you know that? I am not going to let you die. I-I-I'm -- listen, I am -- I am going to get you out of here. I am.
Sami: How? I know they're just empty words, Jack, but thank you for saying them. For a second there, I understood what Jennifer sees -- I mean, Jennifer saw in you.
Jack: I'm going to make her see that man again -- that -- that hero, yours truly.
Sami: Jack, can you do me another favor?
Jack: Hmm? What?
Sami: Will you hold me again? Thank you.
Sami: Oh, my God.
Jack: What was that all about? Let's just -- let's just concentrate on getting out of here, shall we? Yes.
Sami: Yeah, and alive, preferably. Come on.
Jack: Yes -- alive. Very good. Very good.
Sami: All right. Whoa!
Jack: Whoa, Sami!
Sami: What is this?
Jack: It's cement.
Chloe: Philip. Uh, I should go check on Shawn.
Philip: Why wouldn't she answer me?
Belle: She wouldn't answer me, either.
Philip: At graduation today, I really thought she was going to give us another chance. There's something different about her, belle -- not just now, this afternoon, too.
Belle: Like what?
Philip: I don't know, but there's something going on with her -- something she doesn't want us to know.
Shawn: Okay, so it's my turn to ask you -- are you all right?
Chloe: Yeah. I just think we should start acting a little bit more normal so people don't feel sorry for us.
Shawn: Yeah. You're right. Come on, let's dance.
Cynthia: You got a sick mind, Jason. You know the good thing? So do I.
Jason: Well, come on. Let's grab a table.
Lexie: Boy.
Brandon: I know you miss your father, Lexie. I'm sure he didn't mean to let you down. But as long as he's gone, I can promise you this -- I won't desert you. How many times have I protected you, anyway?
Lexie: How reluctantly, too. Even while you're helping me, you're always trying to talk me into doing things by the book. Brandon, you're not even a by-the-book kind of guy.
Brandon: Hey, I'm a big picture kind of guy. I'll break the rules if it's for a good cause, and saving your son was a good cause, if there was any way that it could have happened, and if you weren't breaking the law and risking both of your futures to do it. Running isn't the answer, Lexie. It never is.
Lexie: I don't want to talk about this.
Brandon: You're grieving, and you don't have to go through this alone. You shouldn't go through this alone.
Lexie: Then help me, Brandon. Please help me.
Brandon: I will. Come on.
Lexie: Where?
Brandon: I'm taking you back to the hospital.
Lexie: Mnh-mnh.
[Dance music playing]
Belle: I'll be back.
Chloe: Go. Go after her.
Philip: Hey. We need to talk, too.
Chloe: Philip, I'm tired, and I am sad for Belle and Shawn. I'm sorry. I can't right now.
Philip: I know what's wrong, Chloe. I know why you're so upset tonight.
Cynthia: Shawn and Belle.
Boy: Come on. Let's go.
Kevin: Baby. What's going on?
Mimi: I'm not sure yet. You see those two together, you know what that means. Trouble.
Iris: Ooh. Harry. What do we have here?
Harry: Well.
Iris: We don't usually get new guests so late.
Jennifer: Well, we're looking for Sami Brady and Jack Deveraux.
Iris: You must be Jennifer.
Jennifer: How do you know me?
Harry: [Chuckles]
Colin: Jennifer received a phone call tonight. She understood Sami and Jack had found themselves in some sort of difficulty here.
Iris: Oh. No, no, no, no. That's not true. They -- they just didn't like their room, and then they left.
Jennifer: Without their suitcases? With Jack's car still in the parking lot?
Colin: We know what's going on here, all right? There's no point in pretending -- not anymore.
Jack: I tell you, if this stuff had dried, we would have been sitting ducks, sinking ducks, sleeping with the ducks -- well, I'd rather not Jennifer found us that way, in any case.
Sami: Jennifer?
Jack: When it was clear that we were going to be in trouble, I called her.
Sami: Not 911?
Jack: I tried that, but the call must have been intercepted. As for Jennifer, it's very likely she just thought I was crying wolf...Again. Even if she did hear that gunshot.
Sami: Gunshot?
Jack: Mind you, not that I want any trouble. I just hope she had the sense to call the police.
Sami: Wait a second. Someone was shooting a gun at you, Jack, and you didn't run like hell? Are you insane? You stayed because of me. I guess that wasn't the smartest strategy.
Jack: You're right. You're right. It probably would have been far more intelligent to sprint for help.
Sami: Well, you probably would have gotten caught. I mean, we are in the middle of nowhere. Jack, I'm really grateful to you. I guess I owe you.
Jack: Cash will be fine.
Sami: Can you be serious for five seconds, Jack? I'm trying to thank you for saving my life, which you did do. At least, so far.
Jack: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. What is that?
Sami: What?
Jack: Look at this here. Right here, Sami. I think -- aah! Look at that. Ah, yes.
Sami: What? What do you see?
Jack: It's our ticket out of this hellhole.
Kevin: Mimi, high school's over. We've graduated. Why would Cynthia and Jason think so much about how to mess things up when they won't even have a chance to gloat about it?
Mimi: Do you think they're that smart? We have to find out what they're up to before they ruin our last last blast.
Philip: What's wrong is that you were with Shawn on the dance floor. I was with belle. I wanted to be with you, you wanted to be with me. I love you, Chloe, and I think you still love me, too. At least that's what I see when I look into your eyes. At graduation, you accepted that necklace. Philip and Chloe forever. I mean, do you think it's possible? Because I do. And why won't you talk about the future?
Chloe: We may not have a future.
Philip: Okay. I understand. You didn't want the necklace. You don't believe in us. I'm glad I know. I'm glad I know.
Chloe: No, Philip, no. It's not you.
Philip: Then what, Chloe? Why are you so upset? What's wrong? Tell me.
Cynthia: I hate waiting.
Jason: Oh, but it'll be so worth it, Cyn. And just think -- the best part is nobody will see it coming, not till it's too late.
Belle: Excuse me.
Shawn: I have something really important I need to tell you. And this time, you are going to listen.
Abe: Well, they've searched the DiMera mansion. No sign of Rolf, of course, or Lexie, or anyone else connected with Stefano.
Man: Commander, there's a call for you on line 2.
Abe: All right. Thank you. Yeah. Carver.
[Sighs] All right, yeah, thank you. Damn it, I knew it. So Brandon Walker's not at the Green Mountain Lodge. He left hours ago. Two guesses as to why.
Celeste: Now, Abraham, wait, wait, wait, darling. If you find Alexandra -- she's so fragile now, you know?
Abe: Celeste... All I want is to get Lexie the help she needs. Believe me, she's not going to get that from Brandon Walker.
Lexie: Back to the hospital? No.
Brandon: Hey, whoa, come on, Lexie. Lexie, please, trust me. If you go to Abe and turn yourself in, you'll be coming from strength, showing those who think you're mentally unstable that you're actually in control. Now, deep in your heart, you know you owe it to Isaac to go on, be the best person you can be. Turn yourself into someone Isaac can be proud of. It's your choice, Lexie, and this is your last chance to make the right one.
Colin: Look, Jennifer and I know –
Jack: This way!
[Pounding]
Jack: We're out! We're out! Out of the way! Back! Get back! You stay away from us! You are in trouble now! They have come for us, and we're going to be fine. Oh, Jennifer. You did come. Thank God.
Colin: You can thank God in person.
Sami: Whoa! Jack!
