Mimi: Chloe, you were supposed to be here 10 minutes ago. You're not getting cold feet about helping Belle, are you?

Chloe: I have no problem with Philip hanging out with Cynthia, or anyone else, for that matter. Especially if it helps us get the dirt on Jan.

Mimi: Good... 'cause Philip just got here, and without you here egging him on, I'm afraid he won't go through with it.

Chloe: Well, the quicker we hang up, the sooner I'll be there.

Mimi: It's Chloe.

Philip: Oh, hey. Hey, Chloe, what's up?

[Dial tone]

Sami: This is really fun, Belle. I can't even remember the last time we hung out together.

Belle: Well, I guess that's the plus side to being single -- a lot of time on our hands.

Sami: Belle, don't talk like that. If you want to get Shawn back --

Belle: Stop! Who said I even wanted Shawn back? Did it ever occur to you that maybe I don't?

Jan: Oh, can I get you another cup of coffee, Mrs. Horton? Some more eggs?

Alice: I'm fine.

Jan: Okay, then. Well, I'll get all of us some more juice.

Alice: And what's on your agenda for the day, dear?

Shawn-D: Oh, we don't have any school, so I was thinking about catching up on some studying.

Jan: Oh, that's a good idea. Hey, why don't we, um, grab our books and head over to Salem Place?

Shawn-D: Are you kidding? That place will be a mob scene today.

Jan: Oh, come on. It'll be fun. Besides, I've been dying for a double mocha latté -- well, ever since... I mean, you're not supposed to have caffeine when you're pregnant -- not that I minded. I was more than willing to make the sacrifice for the baby.

Shawn-D: All right, yeah. Go get ready.

Jan: Great. Thank you, Shawn. You're the best.

Shawn-D: Well, Gran, don't you even think about doing these dishes because Jan and I will get them when we get back.

Alice: You will is what you mean, hmm?

Shawn-D: That's what I mean. Yeah, well, Jan's been through a lot.

Alice: You always put others first.

Shawn-D: I don't mind.

Alice: But what about you, Shawn dear? What do you need?

Shawn-D: Does it matter? Everything I thought I needed is already gone.

Eliana: Excuse me, Dr. Carver. You have a visitor.

Lexie: Why did you hide this, Eliana? My son is still a part of this family.

Eliana: I-I'm sorry, Dr. Carver. I just thought-

Lexie: You thought wrong! What's the matter with you, anyway? I told you I didn't want to see anyone!

Abe: Well, you're going to see me, and you're going to tell me what the hell is going on.

Isaac: [Babbling]

Hope: Yeah.

Julie: I'm just dazed from this time change.

Bo: Ha ha.

Doug: Well, you better have some more of that French espresso, sweetheart.

Bo: Yeah, it's good.

Hope: Do you like your cheese sandwich, sweetheart?

Julie: How come you two are so bright-eyed?

Doug: Right. Yes. Not only jet-lag, but you guys were out very late last night.

Julie: Well, they are on a mission, darling.

Doug: I know.

Julie: I'm sure this is what's giving you all the energy.

Hope: Well, Isaac also slept a lot better last night. That helped, too.

Doug: I'm sure it did.

Bo: It's amazing, huh? With the time change and all the other changes in his life, he's doing very well.

Isaac: [Babbles]

Hope: Thank you both so much for helping out with him -- watching Isaac, and giving us the time to look for the answers we need.

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: We really appreciate it.

Julie: Well, we're delighted to do it, and please tell me -- are you any closer to finding out who the biological father is?

Doug: To my knowledge, Brady and Brady have never met a mystery they could not solve.

Hope: Ooh, Daddy, from your mouth to God's ears.

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Hope: 'Cause this is the most important mystery of our lives.

Julie: Hmm. There's something they're not telling us. What is it? What did you find out last night?

Hope: I've been having this recurring dream -- well, half-dream, half-memory, actually -- where I'm on a pier. Anyway, last night we ended up there, on that pier, and I saw myself dancing with Bo.

Julie: Wow.

Bo: I reminded her that's where she and I were reunited. We got rid of that Gina part of her personality. That could be what she's remembering.

Hope: But that still doesn't explain the memory I had of you.

Bo: What?

Hope: Don't laugh, okay? But dressed up as a street performer -- a mime.

Julie: A mime?! Oh, honey. Ha ha ha! I'm -- I'm sorry, darling. It's -- it's a bizarre image.

Bo: Yes, it is. Thank you very much.

Hope: You're very welcome.

Bo: The thing is, it doesn't get us any closer to finding answers.

Hope: So we're still kind of in limbo -- not really sure what's real or what isn't real.

Bo: And it was getting really late, so we went back to the hotel. We were able to get a hold of Greta at the orphan's foundation, and she's granting us access to Gina's town house. Hopefully, we'll get some answers there.

Julie: That's wonderful.

Doug: Wow.

Bo: Oh! This is a good time to call Shawn.

Hope: You know, I know he's busy today. He didn't have -- he had the day off from school, so he's probably running around. You know what? Let's just call him.

Julie: Give him our love, please.

Hope: Absolutely. I am so excited. I got this, uh, this new phone that works internationally.

Doug: With us jet-setters, you see, it's quite important.

Julie: Oh, darling...

Hope: Of course, Daddy!

Bo: He'll think we're checking up on him. He won't like that.

Hope: Well, that's too bad. He's our son. We love him. We want to know that he's okay.

Bo: Yes, we do.

Hope: Yeah. [Telephone rings] [Ring]

Shawn-D: Hello?

Hope: Shawn! Oh, honey, great. It's Mom.

Shawn-D: Hey. How's the trip?

Hope: Everything's fine. Everything's going really well. I'm so glad that I caught you. So, what are your plans for today?

Shawn-D: Jan and I are actually going to head over to the mall -- hang out and do some studying.

Hope: Oh. How is Jan?

Shawn-D: She's... doing much better. Uh, she's feeling really antsy, though. She wants to get out and do stuff.

Hope: Honey, that's great. I think that is just such wonderful news. Uh, and, honey, now that Jan is feeling a lot better physically, uh, we really do need to talk about the situation.

Shawn-D: What situation?

Hope: Girl living with us?

Shawn-D: Do we have to get into this now, 'cause isn't this call really expensive?

Hope: Honey, I meant that your dad and I would discuss it with you when we got home, but I want you to think about it while we're away, okay? Look, it's not that I'm being insensitive here, but... I mean, Jan can't live with us indefinitely.

Bo: Hope, not now. Wait till we get home.

Hope: Anyway, honey, um, how is Gran? You two aren't driving her crazy, are you?

Shawn-D: No. Actually, Jan made breakfast for us both this morning.

Hope: Oh, that was really nice.

Shawn-D: How's Dad and Grandma and Grandpa?

Hope: They're all fine, honey. Shawn, you know, I think Isaac would love to say hello to you, sweetie.

Shawn-D: Mom, aren't you 6,000 miles away? And this call is probably costing $5 a minute, so just tell him I say hi and I'll see you when you get home.

Hope: I love you.

Shawn-D: I love you, too, Mom. Bye.

Hope: Don't you worry, sweetheart. He'll come around. Yes, he will. How could anyone possibly resist you? Hmm?

Bo: I know I can't.

Abe: So, word at the station is you're planning on changing your plea to guilty.

Lexie: What do you care?

Abe: Does it mean that you're admitting what you did was wrong?

Lexie: The only thing I did wrong was get caught.

Abe: Lexie, you know, at this point, the D.A. hasn't even offered a plea-bargain. With all the evidence stacked against you, I'd be surprised if he did.

Lexie: Cameron is working on a deal. The plea will be guilty by circumstances of mitigation.

Abe: Well, there certainly are mitigating circumstances which a jury would find sympathetic. You know, what I don't understand is why you're not defending yourself. You don't want anyone digging, do you? Because there are secrets out there that could be uncovered if the prosecutor were to conduct an investigation.

Lexie: Abe, I had a fake European passport. We both know that. But I admit no wrongdoing because I honestly believe that I did the right thing. However, technically, I am guilty, so why shouldn't I just acknowledge that and move on?

Abe: Well, if that's true -- I mean, if you want to get over this and move on with your life -- I have a proposition for you.

Sami: Well, let's see. How do I know that you want Shawn back? "A," because you practically admitted that you're still in love with him, and "B," because I've been there, Belle. You think I'm ever going to stop loving Austin?

Belle: Sami, it's not that black-and-white. I am the one that broke up with Shawn.

Sami: And if you want it to stay that way, then that's fine. If not, you are handing him to that little tramp on a silver platter. If Jan were out of the picture, I think you'd feel differently. Look, I understand that you want to punish Shawn. Frankly, he deserves it. But there's something wrong with this picture if you feel worse than he does.

Belle: I just -- I want to make sure I'm doing the right thing.

Sami: What's right is going after what you want. Do you think that Jan is sitting around having a moral debate with herself about any of this? No. She just barrels ahead, looking out for herself.

Belle: That is why I am right for Shawn and she is not.

Sami: So you do want him back.

Mimi: Hi. You two look serious.

Sami: I'm just giving her a little sisterly advice.

Philip: [Sarcastically] Oh, great.

Sami: You stay out of it, Philip.

Mimi: Oh, my gosh. There's that major hunk of a doctor. Hello there, Dr. Murphy.

Colin: Hi. So, why aren't you all in school? It seems every other day is a holiday in the U.S.

Mimi: Oh, no, no holiday. We're off today just preparing for finals and what-not.

Colin: Not a book in sight.

Chloe: Sorry I'm late.

Philip: Hey. You feel any better?

Chloe: If I had a dollar for every time someone asked me that... I'm fine, really.

Colin: Chloe, has your throat cleared up?

Chloe: It's still a little sore, but it's getting better.

Colin: Good. I'm glad to hear it.

Philip: Hey, any luck rescheduling your master class audition?

Chloe: Philip, I told you, it was a one-time deal and I blew it. I missed my chance.

Philip: Look, my Dad knows a few people in New York Arts. Maybe he could make some calls for you.

Chloe: Why don't you just forget the idea that we're going to be in New York together?

Philip: Chloe, I offered because I care about you. Even if we never talked again, I'd still want your dreams to come true. Would you give up on your dreams before you'd let me help you?

Hope: Wow. This room... so many memories locked inside of me. I lived a part of this woman's life, Bo -- this woman who... was so different from me in every way, except the love she had for her child.

Hope: I spent so much time in this room... yet I cannot summon even one of those memories.

Bo: How about if I tell you some of what Gina and I did here together -- you know, when I was trying to reach you? Maybe that'll jog your memory.

Hope: It's worth a try.

Bo: Um... I showed her a picture of Shawn to see if it would stir something inside her.

Hope: Did it?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: How do you know that, though?

Bo: Well, because right after that, you invited me to stay here with you.

Hope: And then what happened?

Bo: I didn't really want to get into that because... look, Hope, you were genuine right at first.

Hope: I'm sorry, I don't understand. What do you mean by genuine?

Bo: It was you who wanted me to stay here, but the Gina side of you took the opportunity to give me a drink -- you drugged me.

Hope: I drugged you?

Bo: It was nothing, really. There was no lasting effect.

Hope: What did I do to you, Brady?

Bo: I got a little woozy and I blacked out for a little while.

Hope: Oh, Bo...

Bo: The thing is, when I came to, you were taking care of me. So, you see? You couldn't do it. You couldn't hurt me. Even though DiMera wanted you to, you couldn't go through with it.

Hope: Oh, my God, I poisoned you. I tried to kill you.

Abe: There's only one way for you to move on with your life, and that's to turn your back on your father once and for all and stop being a DiMera. Do what your mother did when she got the guts to stand up to Stefano.

Lexie: No. The only thing my Father did was try to protect me and my son. Note I didn't say your son, Abe, because you gave up on him. I'm not a quitter. I don't turn my back on people I love, and that includes my Father.

Abe: You turned your back on me.

Lexie: You're the one who walked out of here, making you choose between you and my son, you and my Father.

Abe: All right, here we go again.

Lexie: The only thing my Father ever did was give you a son. And the only thing that Isaac ever did was love you.

Abe: The only thing I ever did was love him, and I still do. And how in God's name can you say the only thing your father did was give me a son? He's responsible for this horrific situation, the pain we're both in! And yet you defend him and you blame me.

Lexie: No, my Father would never want me to suffer like this. He had nothing to do with those babies being switched at the hospital!

Abe: [Laughs] Well, you -- you believe whatever you want to believe. He is absolutely the reason that you're facing criminal charges.

Lexie: You don't have a shred of evidence to support that.

Abe: Do you want me to go fishing? There's certainly plenty against you.

Lexie: So, what -- what do you want me to do, Abe, just sit back and let someone come and take my son and hand him over to Hope?

Abe: You didn't know that would have been the outcome.

Lexie: When a court order gives you 48 hours to turn your child over, it seems to me that the best way to keep him is to take him away.

Abe: Court order? The judge didn't give Bo and Hope custody until after you took the baby and ran.

Lexie: What?

Cameron: Take a look. You have 48 hours to turn over Isaac to Bo and Hope Brady.

Lexie: Oh, my God.

Abe: You brought this on yourself, Lexie.

[Doorbell rings]

Abe: No one else.

Lexie: Damn her!

Eliana: Mrs. Carver...

Lexie: What?

Eliana: Cameron Reese to see you.

Cameron: Hello, Lexie. Abe. I'm sorry I didn't call, but I need your signature on our retainer agreement.

Lexie: Do you honestly think I'm going to pay you for ruining my life, my son's life? You set this whole thing up, didn't you? How could you, Cameron? How could you?

Bo: DiMera wanted you as Gina to prove your loyalty to him by killing me. But, you see, you failed the test. You couldn't do it.

Hope: But what if I had done it?

Bo: Hope, listen to me. I'm alive. I'm fine, and so are you. That's a testament to our love for each other.

Bo: What is it?

Hope: [Thinking] "Give this to Bo when you drink. When he's neutralized, call me, and I will begin the transformation of Bo Brady into my pawn. I trust you will follow my instructions." Oh, my God. I remember what happened.

Hope: Stefano wasn't trying to kill you. It was a mind control drug. He wanted to make you another one of his pawns, Bo.

Bo: So, I -- I didn't just black out. That's right. I was missing chunks of time.

Hope: And I'm missing all of that time.

Bo: You know what? This is the first time I've really been able to understand what you've been going through -- having pieces of your life missing, having them taken away from you. I know what you feel -- or what you've felt this whole time.

Hope: Bo, thank you.

Bo: You're not alone. You will never be alone again.

Philip: Let's, uh, let's go ask Dr. Murphy. Dr. Murphy? Dr. Murphy?

Colin: Yes? What?

Philip: Hey, how soon can Chloe expect to get her singing voice back?

Colin: Well, uh, strep throat can cause lingering difficulties. Depends on the patient, the severity of the case.

Chloe: Well, I'm sure things will work out with no interference from you or anyone else, Philip.

Philip: Excuse me.

Mimi: Look what the cat just dragged in.

Philip: Hey! I suggest you get your coffee to go so we can avoid a scene.

Jan: I wouldn't worry about it, Philip. I'm sure Belle wouldn't want another fight.

Philip: Yeah, but I might.

Jan: After what you did to Chloe, I don't think you have the right to blame Shawn for anything.

Philip: I'm not blaming Shawn, I'm blaming you.

Jan: What, are you made of stone? I just lost my baby.

Shawn-D: All right, all right. Don't let him upset you, okay?

Sami: Next come the tears.

Jan: I can't believe how insensitive some people can be.

Shawn-D: Okay. All right, all right. Philip, why don't you just take a hike and leave us alone?

Philip: Yeah, fine, whatever.

Belle: I'm out of here.

Sami: Don't you dare, Belle. Don't you let Jan control what you do or where you go. Shawn loves you, okay? That's your best revenge. That is how you beat her. And she knows it. That's why she's got that vise-like grip on his arm.

Philip: What has happened to Shawn's brain? And what strings is Jan pulling to make him behave like such an idiot?

Mimi: There you go. There's your source.

Philip: I want you to know I consider this a huge sacrifice. I never wanted to get near Cynthia again, let alone go out with her.

Chloe: Well, you are going to go out with her. Not only that, you're going to pretend like it was a huge mistake that you dumped her, because now you realize that she's extremely hot and the perfect girl for you. And you had better be convincing.

Philip: Well, I guess there's no time like the present.

Chloe: Great.

Philip: You know, maybe a simpler plan would be to eavesdrop on their conversation.

Mimi: No way. That's Jan's M.O. She'll catch on in no time.

Jan: I heard Mrs. Brady say she wants me out of the house.

Cynthia: But I thought you said Mrs. Brady was nice.

Jan: Yeah. That was before when she thought I was carrying her grandchild. Now that I lost the baby, she can't get rid of me fast enough.

Cynthia: Well, what are you going to do?

Jan: Whatever it takes.

Cynthia: You go, girl.

Jan: I have to act fast, though, while I'm still around Shawn 24/7. He has been so great to me, Cynthia. He has to care about me.

Cynthia: Look, justify it any way you want. Just do it.

Jan: I plan to. I'm going to be there for Shawn in ways Belle never was -- and never will be.

Belle: What's up with that trio? Philip and Chloe aren't even really on speaking terms right now.

Sami: Well, that should give you a little encouragement. Look at prince charming, A.K.A. Shawn, sitting over there by his lonesome. Why don't you go over there and talk to him?

Belle: He's got legs. If he wants to talk to me, he can walk over here by himself.

Colin: Shawn.

Shawn-D: Hey, Colin.

Colin: I couldn't help overhearing that your girlfriend -- or rather your ex-girlfriend -- is pretty devastated about all this.

Shawn-D: All right, I feel bad enough. I really don't need to hear it from anyone else.

Colin: I'm not just anyone else. We're family. But you lied to me, Shawn. Either you were the one that got Shawn pregnant, or you weren't.

Shawn-D: Look, we both know something happened to her on that island, but I had nothing to do with it. I didn't hurt her.

Colin: So are you saying you weren't the father of Jan's baby?

Shawn-D: No, I'm not saying that.

Colin: Then why'd you both tell me from the beginning that you weren't?

Shawn-D: Because I didn't want you to go tell my Father, because I didn't want to deal with it at the time.

Colin: So what you're saying is you didn't harm Jan physically, only emotionally by being a coward. Look, she needs help, professional counseling, now more than ever since she's lost the baby. Using you as an emotional crutch is only going to do more harm in the long run.

Shawn-D: Don't you think I know that? I took her to counseling, but she didn't want to go back, and I don't know how else to help her.

Colin: I know you've been through a terrible time, Shawn, and I'm very sorry. But secrets won't help, nor will lies.

Shawn-D: Oh, what will?

Colin: Maybe I can help. I'd certainly try. So please remember, I'm here for you if you need me.

Abe: So tell me about this court order, the one that prompted Lexie to leave Salem with Isaac.

Cameron: Well, the order came to my office under the official seal. What? Are you saying it was bogus?

Abe: And you had no idea?

Cameron: Well, everything seemed to be in order. Now, certainly my client and I have nothing to gain from such a tragic error.

Abe: So someone delivers false court documents to you, and you had no idea till this very moment? You never thought to call the judge and say, "where did this come from? How could you do this to my client without the benefit of a court hearing?"

Cameron: It never occurred to me to question it, Abe.

Abe: No. And it never occurred to you you could lose your license for negligence, not to mention the fraud I intend to prove you committed. I hope you are dis-barred.

Abe: Your father's trying to get you to run. Don't you see that now? How far does he have to go before you acknowledge what he's done and turn your back on him?

Abe: Until your wash your hands of Stefano DiMera, I'm washing my hands of you. It's over.

Sami: How can you pass up an opportunity like this? Belle, look at him sitting over there with his big brown eyes looking all lonely. He needs you.

Belle: I don't know, Sami. It just doesn't feel right.

Sami: Well, I guess there's a reason they say that nice girls finish last.

Belle: Okay. You have made your point.

Belle: Shawn...

Colin: Wonderful advice, Sami. Nice girls finish last. And what happened to you?

Sami: Stood up again, I see? You know, I have to tell you, I'm not surprised. I take some awfully bizarre messages for you at the hospital.

Colin: Half of which I never get, I'm sure.

Sami: You know, I never met such a popular person who has so few friends. No wonder you're sitting there having coffee by yourself.

Colin: Care to reminisce about our mutual non-weddings? I didn't think so.

Sami: You should look on the bright side, though. I never met a single person who liked Eliza-jerk. Ditto Nicole Walker, so save yourself the agony and dump her pronto. And I'm not the biggest Jennifer Horton fan, but you obviously overheard what I said to my sister. No sense pining. I say you go for it.

Colin: Ever considered writing an advice column?

Sami: You know, I actually have.

Colin: And I assume your sudden interest in my love life has very little to do with Nicole Walker. Now if you'll excuse me.

Colin: Damn it. I hope nothing went wrong.

Lexie: Who made you do this to me? Was it Rolf? Rolf, get in here! Rolf!

Rolf: Alexandra, if you will just calm down, I will explain.

Lexie: There is nothing you can say that will make me less furious.

Cameron: Now, obviously, you two need to talk, so, as your attorney, I think perhaps it's best that I'm not privy to this little conversation, so I'll be in touch.

Lexie: Abe was right. You wanted me to take Isaac and run. Do you realize that by giving me those fake court papers and failing to get us out of the country, you may have cost me my son forever?!

Rolf: You would have lost your child regardless. I gave you your only option -- and a head start. However, I did not force you to flee.

Lexie: I just wanted to save my son.

Rolf: As did I. I was only trying to help, Alexandra. And I still can. All is not lost. I mean that.

Hope: Why do I keep thinking these memories will be healing, when it only gets worse and worse?

Bo: That's not true, Hope. Even when you were Gina, you remembered our love. I mean, that's the most powerful memory of all. What is it?

Shawn-D: Hi. Hi. What's up?

Belle: Nothing. I just -- I wanted to say hi. And I'm sorry if Philip gave you a hard time.

Shawn-D: No.

Jan: Hey, Shawn, for you. I put the sugar in myself.

Belle: You know what? I'm not going to keep doing this to myself. Bye, Shawn.

Chloe: Go on. Now's your chance.

Mimi: Do I have to kick you in the butt?

Philip: Just relax. I can handle this.

Philip: Hey. What's up?

Cynthia: Are you talking to me?

Philip: Who else would I be talking to?

Cynthia: I don't know. It's just that the last time we saw each other, you weren't exactly friendly. If I remember correctly, Chloe had just seen the video and you were -- you were threatening me.

Philip: Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry about that.

Cynthia: Are you, or is this little overture your way of getting back at me?

Philip: No, no, no, I don't work like that, Cynthia. You know that. It's just that I was really angry, and, uh, well, the truth is if it wasn't for that video, it would have been something else that made Chloe hate my guts, you know? Look, I know I was a jerk, and I want to make it up to you.

Cynthia: Really?

Philip: Yeah, sure. How about I buy you a coffee or something sometime? What do you say, friends again? I guess that's my answer.

Cynthia: Not so fast, handsome. How about right now? And as for that whole friends thing, I think we're way past that, don't you?

Philip: Yeah.

Mimi: It's working. This is so easy.

Sami: Why did you walk away?

Belle: Because Jan came back.

Sami: That's exactly when you're supposed to stay and show Shawn that you are so much better for him than she is.

Belle: I told Shawn that I can't do this anymore.

Sami: So, are you going to give up on him?

Belle: No, I -- I can't.

Sami: Good. Then we're on to plan "B."

Rolf: I know you've never wanted me to mention this again, Alexandra, but you must listen. Our only solution now is to use this potion on Isaac. And remember, he will only appear to be dead. We pay off the coroner, the undertaker, and you get your child back. You leave Salem secretly with your precious Isaac and live under the protection of your father. Bo and Hope will be none the wiser, lost in grief as they bury a casket filled with stones.

Lexie: No! I told you before, I can't hurt my baby. I can't -- I can't let my baby die, not even for a few seconds.

Rolf: But he won't be your baby if you allow Hope Brady to raise him. However, it's your choice, Alexandra.

Cameron: Yes, and I will meet you in court. And be sure and download that information. Great.

Abe: Cameron. You know, you'd be better off if you told me the truth. Save the taxpayers the cost of investigating you.

Cameron: As you know, Abe, I am enjoined by attorney-client privilege. That law that you feel such a singular passion for is the very one that prohibits me from discussing your wife's case with you.

Abe: I asked you to keep Lexie out of jail, so why the guilty plea now?

Cameron: I always fight for my clients, Abe, and in the end, I always win. But, you know, from what I've been witnessing over the past few days and weeks, I guess it goes without saying that once I finish handling Lexie's criminal issues, I'll be handling her divorce.

Hope: I love you, Brady.

Bo: Fancy Face.

Hope: I do remember my love for you. I remember.
