John: I won, I won, I won.

Brady: Yeah, right.

Marlena: How was your run?

Brady: I beat the old man by 2/10ths of a mile.

John: [Panting] I got to get a break. Get out of here!

Brady: Okay, okay, okay.

John: I swear, I'm going to puke.

Marlena: [Laughing]

John: Oh... I need to get in the shower. I want to see Belle, though. I'll see her first.

Marlena: Wait a minute.

John: What's up?

Marlena: You're too late.

Girl: No way. Belle's dad and Shawn's mom?

Girl #2: That's what it said, but it gets even better. Apparently, Shawn got some girl pregnant.

Girl: No! Who?

Girl #2: Well, Mia said Georgia heard it was Jan Spears.

Girl: Oh, I am so dying. What else do you know?

Mimi: Mind your own business, huh? Don't you guys have anything better to do?

Girl: Ooh, it's the gossip police.

Girl #2: Get a life, Lockhart.

Mimi: I cannot stand those two. Stupid gossip hounds.

Belle: Oh, please tell me it is 3:00, that school's out, and we can escape.

Mimi: Don't let those losers get to you. I think it's really great that you're here.

Belle: Yeah, it's great, until Shawn shows up. Then what am I going to do, Mimi? What am I going to say?

Jason: Hey, Belle.

Mimi: Oh, great, just what we need. Get lost, Jason.

Jason: Hey, I've been looking for you. How are you doing?

Belle: Oh, fine. You?

Jason: Ah, I'm hanging in. Hey, Belle, I meant to ask you, uh, I was thinking, you and me -- maybe we could, uh, get together sometime? Just talk about things, you know?

Belle: Jason, I really don't think that --

Jason: Wait, wait, like, it makes sense, you know? Our exes hooked up... we kind of, like, have a lot in common now, you know?

Mimi: Oh, God, what a disgusting thought.

Jason: Would you shut up, Mimi?

Mimi: No.

Jason: So, how about it? Is Saturday night cool?

Chloe: I hate you! Don't call me, don't try to talk to me, and I never want to see your lying face again!

Rolf: Well, I hope you are in a celebratory mood, Stefano, because I have some excellent news. Well, let's just say that, as of last night, there is one less person living in your house. Yes, Abraham finally moved out. Isn't that wonderful? But, Stefano, I assumed you would be most pleased.

Lexie: Damn it, Father! Are you responsible for this? What are you saying? Oh, God... so, what am I going to do now?

[Knock on door]

Abe: Oh, Celeste.

Celeste: Hello, darling. I got your message. I came as quickly as I could.

Abe: Oh, thank you. Please come on in.

Celeste: So, uh, Abraham, why did you ask me to meet you here? Oh, darling, dare I hope that you and Alexandra have moved back home, yes?

Abe: We didn't. Lexie's still living at her father's.

Celeste: I see. This is what I feared all along. Is it over, Abraham? Have you and Alexandra decided to go your separate ways?

John: You know, sweetheart, most kids wouldn't even have gone to school, knowing what they might have to face, but our Belle -- tough kid, isn't she?

Marlena: Yep. In fact, to quote Belle, "I will not let those stupid tabloids make me afraid to show my face. And anybody who believes them is not worth my time."

John: Damn straight.

Marlena: You know, I'm less concerned about the taunting she will take from her classmates. I'm -- I'm more concerned about her own feelings of guilt. She does blame herself for Jan's miscarriage, although it was clearly an accident.

Brady: You know, I'm really worried about Belle, too. Marlena, you're a psychiatrist. What should we do? I mean, how can we help her?

Jason: So what do you say, Belle? You free on Saturday?

Cynthia: I'd go for it, Belle. He's a real catch. Comes from good stock, you know, unlike Shawn Brady and his schizo mom.

Mimi: Unlike you, low life creep.

Philip: What is your problem, Cynthia? Haven't you done enough already?

Cynthia: I'm just getting started.

Philip: What, do you get off on making people feel bad or what?! First Chloe, now Belle.

Cynthia: I don't know why you're so mad, Philip. It took two to do what we did.

Philip: We --

Jason: Whoa, keep back, bro. Come on, Cynthia.

Philip: Cynthia, you're going to pay for what you did. You're not going to get away with this.

Jason: He can be a real jackass.

Cynthia: No, he's just angry, is all. He'll come around. Just wait.

Philip: I hate her. I'm so sorry, Belle. Is there anything I can do for you?

Belle: Please. Cynthia is definitely the least of my problems. But thank you, Philip, for what you did.

Philip: Hey, Chloe, look, I wanted to talk to you.

Chloe: [Coughs]

Philip: Are you all right? Do you want me to take you to the nurse?

Chloe: I told Philip to stay away from me. Could you please relay the message?

Abe: You know, she always said that she would do anything to keep Isaac. I just had no idea it would go this far.

Celeste: Oh, Dear God. I should have intervened on her behalf a long time ago. Now I'm afraid it's too late.

Abe: Celeste, what do you mean, it's too late? What are your vibes telling you? What else do you know?

Lexie: Father, I can't lose my baby. I can't. Yes, yes, I understand. Fine. I will. Goodbye. Rolf, let's get something straight. You are not to call my Father without my knowledge ever again. Do I make myself clear?

Rolf: Yes, yes, of course. Please accept my apology.

Lexie: I'll think about it.

Rolf: Well, what did Stefano have to say? It's obvious he upset you.

Lexie: Oh, my Father's right. It was impulsive, but I was in such a state last night I didn't even think about it.

Rolf: Think about what, my dear?

Lexie: Abe moving out, leaving Isaac and me. It won't look good in court. You know, the whole point of planting that story, of painting Bo and Hope as unfit parents was to make my marriage look good, to put it in the best possible light, but how's the judge going to react if Isaac is the child of -- of a broken home? Oh, boy. And what if Abe takes the stand? What's he going to say about me as a mother, as a role model? God, this is a disaster. All of my plans are backfiring on me, Rolf.

Rolf: Well, if all your best-laid plans have gone awry, Alexandra, you may have no choice but to take Isaac, leave the country, and join your father.

Philip: I have to talk to her.

Belle: Hey, you heard what she said. Just give her some space.

Mimi: Ugh, did I forget my history note cards again? You know how Mr. Woods hates it when we come to class unprepared. Meet me at my locker in 10?

Belle: Sure. Come on.

Philip: I really messed up, didn't I? What am I going to do?

Belle: Hey, let's talk about something else, okay? Um, have you gotten your pictures taken yet for the yearbook?

Philip: Ha ha. Right, the yearbook. Won't that be cool? I'll probably be voted "guy most likely to be dumped by Chloe Lane."

Belle: Philip, please.

Philip: You know, Belle, I thought Chloe didn't even want to look at that stupid video.

Belle: Listen to yourself. You're acting like the victim here. What, am I supposed to feel sorry for you because you got lucky with Cynthia? You have no one to blame but yourself.

Chloe: Mm. Ahem. [Coughs]

Mimi: Hey, are you okay?

Chloe: Yeah.

Mimi: You don't look so good. Maybe Philip is right. Maybe you should go see the nurse

Chloe: No, it's nothing, really. I'm just a little exhausted from being sick. No big deal. [Coughs]

Mimi: Are you sure?

Chloe: Positive.

Mimi: Okay, but no operating heavy machinery in shop class.

Chloe: So, um, about the Jan thing -- do you really think we can find out thee whole story?

Mimi: You bet I do, and Jan is going to regret the day she ever hurt Belle.

Philip: Huh. That's weird. Since when are those two all buddy-buddy?

Belle: Hmm, I don't know, but you can bet I'm going to find out.

Marlena: I think the best thing we can do for Belle right now is surround her with love and support.

John: Mm-hmm.

Marlena: She's going to need her family and friends around her now more than ever.

Brady: And I suppose since Shawn was Belle's first boyfriend, it's going to be tougher for her.

Marlena: It'll take her a while before she wants to date again, but she will.

John: Yeah, well, they're all going to be graduating in a couple of months here. And if Shawn Brady knows what's good for him, he'll just join the Merchant Marine like his old man, because that boy needs some discipline.

Marlena: What that boy needs is some understanding. Look, I'm not excusing the way that he's behaved towards Belle. I'm as appalled as you are about the way he's been acting lately, but he's been having a very hard time the last few months, and he's been terrified of losing his brother.

John: You know what, Doc? You can give the guy all the compassion you want here, but I don't want to talk about him anymore, if that's all right. I just want to concentrate on Belle and what's best for her, okay?

Brady: Yeah, well, like Marlena said, Dad, Belle needs us right now -- all of us. So I was thinking that maybe I should 86 those plans I've made, wait a little while.

Marlena: What plans?

John: Brady is... he's thinking about... moving out.

Celeste: I'm sorry, Abraham. I shouldn't have said anything. Maybe I should just go.

Abe: Celeste. Tell me about this premonition.

Celeste: Well, it's... only a vague feeling of foreboding.

Abe: Well, vague enough to bring you all the way back from Tibet on a yak, so level with me.

Celeste: All right, Abraham, yes. I've worried about my daughter ever since she moved into Stefano's house. You said it yourself. She's not the same person. She quit her job at the hospital, she dresses differently... her priorities, they're -- they're completely changed.

Abe: And you think this is all because of Stefano, his influence. Celeste. You're afraid she's already crossed over, aren't you? You're afraid she's going to become like her father.

Lexie: I can't leave Salem, leave Abe.

Rolf: Well, it appears he has already left you. There is nothing keeping you here now.

Lexie: Abe and I are going to be fine. We just have to work through this. The last thing I want is to keep Isaac away from his daddy. Plus, if I ran off to live with my Father, Abe would never forgive me... if I have to give up being a Carver and become a true DiMera for the rest of my life.

Abe: You know, this has haunted you for a long time, hasn't it, Celeste? You knew that if Stefano found out he had a daughter, he'd take her away and raise her as a DiMera. That's why you gave her up after she was born. So Lexie grew up thinking her aunt and her uncle were her parents, so she'd have no connection to Stefano.

Celeste: Giving up my daughter was the hardest thing I've ever done, and now, in spite of all of my efforts, Stefano has managed to poison Alexandra's mind as surely as if he had raised her. Well, we cannot let Stefano win. If -- if he takes my daughter, if we allow him to possess her -- oh, no, no, no. No, we mustn't. We cannot.

Abe: Celeste, Celeste.

Celeste: Alexandra needs help, Abraham, and I may be the only one who can reach her.

Rolf: Whether you choose to accept it or not, you are a DiMera. It's in your blood.

Lexie: But... becoming a true DiMera would mean becoming more and more like my father, turning into the person that he is.

Rolf: Becoming like the Phoenix, the indestructible creature who rises from the ashes to soar again, higher and higher.

Lexie: The Stefano DiMera that Abe despises.

Rolf: Time is running out, Alexandra. You must make a decision. If you are really serious about keeping Isaac, you may have to sacrifice your marriage. Is that something you're willing to do?

Belle: Hey, Mimi.

Mimi: Hi. You got to try this new mascara. It's kind of pricey, but totally smudge-proof. Wanna?

Belle: No, thanks. Um, I saw you talking to Chloe deep in conversation a second ago. What was that about?

Mimi: Oh, um... I'm just really ticked about all that stuff she told you on the phone this morning.

Belle: Why do you even care?

Mimi: I don't know. I guess because she just totally annoys me, that's all. Oh, my God, can you even believe Jason asked you out? He is so registering on the irritability scale. Like he even has a chance. I'd sooner eat off the cafeteria floor than go out with him. And speaking of...

Belle: Be nice.

Jason: Hey. So, uh, we on for this weekend? I was thinking, like, a movie, and then we could check out that new club. Whatever --

Belle: Hey, Jase, you know what? I'm going to have to go ahead and say no. I'm really sorry. It's nothing personal. I just don't think I'm ready to start dating anyone again.

Jason: Yeah, no, no, it's cool. I totally understand. I don't want to push it or anything, but, uh, I just want you to know that not all guys are like that ser ex-boyfriend of yours.

Mimi: Jason!

Jason: We really know how to pick 'em, right? I mean, Shawn-D and Jan Spears? It's like poster children for teen pregnancy.

Mimi: Will you shut up? For your information, Jan isn't even pregnant anymore. She had a miscarriage.

[Students murmuring]

Mimi: Oh, God, did I just say that out loud? Belle, I am so sorry. I didn't mean to.

Philip: All right, hey, that's enough, everyone.

Girl: Do you think it's true that she really lost her baby?

Cynthia: Oh, it's true, all right. In fact, I just got off the phone with Jan. She gave me all the details.

Jason: So, what happened?

Cynthia: Well, why don't we let Belle explain, seeing as how she's the one responsible for killing Jan's baby?

Cynthia: You were so jealous, weren't you, Belle?

Philip: Shut up, Cynthia!

Cynthia: You just couldn't stand being Jan's understudy, but I never thought that you would stoop this low.

Jason: Hey, maybe Belle and Jan could, like, fight it out on "Jerry Springer" or “Ricki Lake."

Mimi: Give it a rest, Jason.

Philip: You leave her the hell alone. It wasn't Belle's fault. Did you hear that, everyone? It wasn't her fault! Are you okay?

Cynthia: Oh, and one more thing, Belle. He's never going to forgive you. In fact, I'd be surprised if Shawn Brady ever speaks to you again.

Philip: All right, that's it, guys. Show's over! Go! Move! Do you want to get out of here and get some fresh air?

Belle: I swear to God, Philip, I never meant to hurt her! I never meant to hurt her! [Sobbing]

Brady: A loft that has a spiral staircase. Here you go. It goes up to the second floor, and beautiful hardwood floors, a big fireplace -- it's great.

Caprice: Well, it seems like only yesterday you were parked in front of the TV with your little friends playing. What's the name of that game, the one with all those turtles and the cute little man?

John: And the annoying music, that bloop, bloop -- that's all we heard.

Brady: Super Mario Brothers, and for your information, I stopped playing that years ago.

John: Don't let him fool you. Grandpa Vic got him a play station for Christmas.

Marlena: Some things never change.

Caprice: Well, I have a feeling that video games are not the only things that captures our boy's attention these days. There's also a certain girl... with the voice of an angel.

John: So, Caprice, I see your sixth sense hasn't left you.

Brady: Sixth sense?

John: Mm-hmm.

Brady: Yeah, right. Okay.

Caprice: The gift I possess is a gift from God. It is a gift that I must use only for good -- to help people, to make the journey at least a little smoother. Oh, dear.

Marlena: What is it?

Caprice: There is bad news, I'm afraid. Heartbreaking.

[Doorbell rings]

Lexie: I'll get it, Eliana. Mom, what are you doing here?

Celeste: I'm moving in, darling.

Lexie: You're what?

Celeste: Well, you have plenty of room for me, yes?

Lexie: Well, yeah, I suppose. I'm just surprised. Look, I can't deal with this right now. I'm on my way out.

Celeste: I know what happened between you and Abraham last night.

Lexie: Mom, we'll talk about it later, okay?

Celeste: Darling, you are throwing your life away, and I'm not going to let you do this.

Lexie: Look, I really don't need a lecture right now.

Celeste: Well, I think you do. Alexandra, you're heading for a very dangerous path, darling.

Lexie: Just stop it, please!

Celeste: Well, what am i supposed to do? Stand by and just watch my daughter self-destruct, huh?

Lexie: Mom, you're being melodramatic.

Celeste: Am I?

Lexie: Look, if you're really going to stay, then make yourself useful, okay? When Isaac wakes up, help Eliana with his breakfast. And whatever you do, don't let anyone in this house. Mom, don't let anyone near my son until I get back, okay?

Philip: Hey... are you sure you're going to be okay?

Belle: Yeah, Philip, I'm going to have to be. Thank you.

Philip: Yeah, no problem.

Chloe: Philip.

Philip: Chloe, hey.

Chloe: That was really nice what you just did for Belle.

Philip: Oh, you know, well, I just had to do that --

Chloe: It's just too bad that you weren't that chivalrous with me.

Mimi: How did you stay so in control? Because if it had been me, I would have seriously decked her.

Belle: I'm not going to let Cynthia get to me, or anyone else, for that matter. I can't.

Chloe: That's the spirit.

Belle: I just -- I keep going over that horrible moment with Jan in my head, and it does not add up. I mean, I know she told Shawn that I was responsible for her miscarriage, but --

Mimi: How can anyone believe Jan? She's a compulsive liar. Believe me, I know.

Chloe: Yeah, quit blaming yourself, Belle. If anyone's to blame, it's Shawn.

Mimi: Copy that.

Belle: Oh, and what Shawn did to me -- he told me that he loved me, and he said, "You are the only one I want to be with." And then he went and slept with Jan. Can you imagine how much worse I would feel if he and I had actually gone that far? I mean, that's one positive thing. At least we didn't -- oh, my God, can someone just get me to stop talking about him?

Mimi: Why? Maybe it helps.

Belle: No, it just makes me all weepy and pathetic, and I hate it. Do you have any of that smudge-proof mascara you were talking about?

Mimi: Like you even have to ask.

Belle: It's definitely touch-up time.

Chloe: Hey, um... do you want us to come with you?

Belle: No. I'll be okay.

Mimi: [Sighs] Poor Belle. This just keeps getting worse. We have to stop Jan.

Chloe: Well, you heard what Cynthia said earlier. She was talking to Jan on the phone.

Mimi: You don't suppose...

Chloe: Maybe Jan confided in her. We need to find out what Cynthia knows.

Mimi: How do we do that?

Chloe: Simple. You are going to become Cynthia's new best friend.

John: Did Jennifer say why she wanted to talk to me?

Caprice: No, but I can tell from the tone of her voice that something very sad was happening. And I'm feeling it even more now. I'm afraid.

John: Yeah, hi, it's John. What's up?

Brady: I wonder what's going on.

Marlena: If it's what I'm thinking --

John: Yeah. Thanks for letting me know.

Marlena: John?

John: Glen Reiber got full custody of J.T.

Marlena: Oh...

John: He's coming to take the baby away from Bo and Hope today. Hope wants me to be there.

Marlena: Shall I go with you?

John: Yeah. Let me get in the shower.

Marlena: Oh... that's so sad. So unspeakably sad. Bo and Hope... and Shawn -- saying goodbye to a child they have cared for nearly two years. My heart goes out to them.

Brady: I know. I know. It's -- it's not going to be easy on Dad, either... or you.

Celeste: What are you doing, Alexandra? Why is my heart so filled with dread?

Rolf: Ahem.

Celeste: Yes? What do you want?

Rolf: My desire is to make you comfortable. That is all. I am merely a humble manservant.

Celeste: Ha ha. And I am a Radio City Rockette.

Rolf: Now I see where Alexandra gets her marvelous sense of humor.

Celeste: You're much more than a servant, Rolf.

Rolf: I beg your pardon.

Celeste: I know you're doing Stefano's bidding, and if he gets his way, it's my daughter that's going to suffer.

Rolf: Nothing could be further from the truth. Mr. DiMera only wants what is best for Alexandra.

Celeste: As do I. And now that I am living here, I intend to keep my eye on you, Rolf. You see, I know exactly what you are up to, and you're not going to get away with it -- with hurting my daughter. Do I make myself clear?

Rolf: Abundantly.

Celeste: Now if I could only get through to Alexandra.

Chloe: [Coughs]

Mimi: So, um, things seem pretty icy between Philip and Chloe still, huh?

Cynthia: Not from where I'm standing. Looks like super boy's still trying to get through to Chloe with his x-ray vision.

Mimi: Pathetic.

Cynthia: Why can't he just move on?

Mimi: You know, you and Philip -- I totally see the chemistry there. It's like -- it just seems right.

Cynthia: Really think he and I will end up together?

Mimi: Definitely. I mean, change is in the wind, right? You know, if Shawn Brady dumped Belle for Jan, anything's possible. Speaking of Jan, I mean, how is she? You said you talked to her earlier.

Cynthia: Yeah. So?

Mimi: Oh, well, I'm not one to gossip, but, um, how did she really lose her baby? I mean, what's the real scoop on this miscarriage?

Marlena: When I think of how difficult it was when Eric left Salem, and how -- how sad John and I will be when Belle goes off to college... that's how it should be. That's all right. I mean, children should grow up and become independent. And, yes, you lose an aspect of them. That little boy and that little girl go away forever, but you never really lose them. What Bo and Hope are going through now, it's not as it should be. It's wrong. There's something very wrong about it.

Marlena: When I said we missed Eric when he went away and we'll miss Belle, I didn't say how much we'll miss you when you move out.

Brady: Oh, come on. You're not going to miss those midnight guitar sessions, the empty milk cartons in the fridge.

Marlena: Ew. I will. Ha ha ha ha.

Brady: Ha ha ha ha. Well, I'm not going to be that far away. I mean, just across town, right?

Marlena: I'm grateful for that.

Marlena: I love you, Brady. You are so special to me.

Lexie: Well, aren't you going to invite me in? This is my house, too.

Abe: Come in.

Lexie: I remember the day this was taken. Isaac had a fever, and it was all we could do to get him to sit still, huh?

Abe: What do you want, Lexie?

Lexie: To apologize. I couldn't sleep last night, Abe. I kept replaying what happened over and over in my head, and... you're right. You've been right all along. I've just been so worried about losing Isaac that I -- I don't know, I just haven't been thinking clearly. Feeding that reporter information to hurt our friends was terribly wrong, not to mention lying to my husband. I was just so scared, you know? Terrified. I still am scared. Honey, I'm scared of losing you. I love you so much. I don't want to live without you. I need my husband. Okay, Isaac needs his daddy. Look, honey, we are facing the most difficult challenge our family has ever had to face. We need to face it together. Please don't abandon us, not now.

John: You ready? I'd like to get over there early so we can spend a little time with J.T.

Marlena: Of course. Of course.

Brady: Oh, thank you. Dad is so torn up about this.

Caprice: Well, your father is a very kind and caring man, and he would do anything to alleviate the pain of a loved one, just as you will for your sister.

Brady: She's right, Belle. I would do anything for you. I'd do anything to help you get over Shawn -- anything to help you through this.

Philip: Hey. Are you feeling any better?

Belle: A little. I'm trying to distract myself.

Philip: Is it working?

Belle: Not really. I have read this page three times, and I still can't tell the difference between calcite and halite.

Philip: Are you kidding? They let you into Columbia?

Belle: Shut up.

Philip: Remind me not to sit next to you in Geology lecture.

Belle: Very funny. But seriously, Philip, I haven't even decided if I'm going to Columbia.

Philip: Come on, Belle. Just last week, you were telling me which trains will get you to Bloomingdale's.

Belle: Take the 1 downtown to 42nd Street, transfer to the uptown or, exit at Lexington Avenue, and it'll be right across the street.

Philip: You see? You have to go. It was meant to be.

Belle: I don't know. Then again, it could be nice to get as far away from Shawn as possible.

Cynthia: Put it this way, when Jan wants something, she goes after it. And since it's Shawn she wants, you can bet she's going to get him, just like I'm going to get Philip.

Chloe: What'd she say?

Mimi: Baby or not, Jan won't let anything stop her. She's determined to be with Shawn.

Chloe: I just wish we knew what her next move was.

Mimi: Whatever it is, we can't let her get away with it.

Chloe: Don't worry, Mimi. We're going to stop Jan Spears in her tracks, make sure she never messes with our friends again.

Rolf: So... Celeste is back in town. And apparently, her powers are greater than ever.

Celeste: Alexandra, I fear you're about to make a very dangerous move, darling... one you may come to regret.

Abe: Lexie, the choice is really very simple. All you have to do is go get Isaac and come back home, be the woman I married, the woman I fell in love with. I'm not going back to that house. So if you want to make things right between us, you're going to have to turn your back on your father once and for all. So what's it going to be? Are you going to do the right thing, even though it does mean we risk losing Isaac? Or are you going to follow in your father's footsteps, give him everything we hold sacred? It's time to decide.

[Clock chiming]

Celeste: In a few hours, something bad is going to happen. Something is going to change all of our lives forever.

Abe: Lexie? Your time's up. Either you're a DiMera or a Carver. You can't be both. It's your decision.
