Days of Our Lives Transcript Wednesday 11/14/01 Provided By SuzanneProofread By Niki Greta: Ready for that ice cream? Jack: Who needs ice cream when I致e got you? Greta: Jack. Jack: Darn. Greta, you okay? Hey. Snap out of it, Princess. Shawn-D: Brady! Brady: Whoa, Shawn. Shawn-D: Hey, what are you doing her I thought you said you weren't going to come. Oh, I know -- you're taking me 'cause I whooped your butt on the court. Brady: Yeah, it's going to take some time to get my groove back, but once I do, you're going to find out who has the real skills. Shawn-D: Mm. Brady: What are you doing, playing video games with your little buddies? Shawn-D: Nah, I told you. I'm coming here to see your sister. Brady: You just can't stay away from Belle, now can you? Shawn-D: Don't want to. Brady: That's fine, as long as you make her happy, but if I ever find out that you've hurt her, you better run and hide. Belle: You know, it seems really weird that Philip asked Cynthia out. What do you think about all this? I mean, you were Philip's girlfriend last year. Are you upset? Chloe: Look, I really need to get out of here. Come with me? Belle: Yeah, you got it. Cynthia: Hey, you're not going to go running after your ex-girlfriend, are you? I mean, you just asked me out, Philip. Don't go breaking my little heart. Jennifer: Oh. Brr. Whoo. Brandon: Cold, isn't it? Jennifer: Yeah. Brandon: Yeah. Here. Got to keep that gorgeous neck warm. Jennifer: It's funny, 'cause I -- I keep thinking it's still summer, and looks like we're going to get snow soon, huh? Brandon: You want some hot cider? There's a vendor right over there. Jennifer: Oh, Brandon, you really need to get back to the hospital, don't you? Brandon: I've got some breathing room. Besides, there's, uh... There's something I want to talk to you about. Jennifer: Am I going to like this? Belle: This feels kind of weird, avoiding Philip. Are you sure that you want to do this, Chloe? Chloe: I am not avoiding him. Shawn-D: Belle. Belle: Hey, Shawn, not now. Chloe and I need to regroup, okay? Shawn-D: Chloe? Belle: I'll catch up with you later, okay? Shawn-D: Okay. Who would have guessed this would have happened? Brady: Nothing's predictable where Chloe is concerned. Shawn-D: I guess. Anyways, what I was -- what you were saying before about me hurting Belle -- Brady: I never said you would, Shawn. Shawn-D: No, I know, but you're concerned. I just want to say I知 cool with that. Yeah, I'm glad Belle has a big brother that's looking out for her, but you got nothing to worry about, man. I'm not going to hurt Belle. I don't go around breaking hearts, unlike some people. Brady: Who, me? Whose heart have I broken? Shawn-D: Well, maybe it hasn't happened yet, but just how serious are you about Chloe? Cynthia: You don't have to run after her -- not when you've got me. I feel like a nice, tall latte. Philip: Go ahead. Brady: Shawn, what makes you think I'm so interested in Chloe? Shawn-D: Well, you're either hiding or in denial. So, movie night, are you going to double date with your sister and me? Brady: What is this sudden obsession with dating you have? Shawn-D: Well... Brady: Oh, I see. My little sister's got your whole world turned upside-down. Well, I'm not looking for that with Chloe or any other woman right now. If I take Chloe to the movies, it won't be a date. We'll just be hanging out. Shawn-D: Some girls take hanging out pretty seriously. Brady: Can we get off this topic, please? I didn't even say that I -- Shawn-D: Wow. Cynthia: So you're going to pick me up at home, right? Philip: Yeah, yeah, I'm going to meet your parents. Cynthia: Ha ha. Good news -- the parents are going to be out of town for a few days. They trust me to stay home alone. So if you want to hang out, you know, after the movie, just the two of us... Well, I have a tv in my room, and we could watch "Saturday Night Live," and during the commercials, I'm sure we could find something fun to do. Philip: Yeah. I-I'll pick you up, okay? I'll see you. Brady: Didn't take you that long, did it, uncle phil? Philip: Huh? What are you -- Shawn-D: You know, I can't believe how bad you're screwing up, man. I mean, Cynthia -- what are you thinking? Greta: Ha ha. I had no idea you were such A... excellent kisser. Jack: Ah. Well, that was -- that was hardly me at my best. Greta: Right, no, no. Of course not. I mean, I'm -- I'm not of the right sex to truly get you worked up. Jack: No, I meant -- I meant to -- to, uh... To kiss you platonically. Greta: Oh, of course, of course. I mean, I-I realize that now that I致e come back down to earth, but when I was in the kiss, Jack, ahh. I-I -- you don't even know your own strength, Jack. You don't. I mean, I -- I知 sorry. This is -- this is completely wrong, given what I do know about you. Jack: No, no. I -- it was -- kissing you was very...Pleasant. I mean, I liked it a lot, and it -- Greta: But -- jack: It was nice. It was extremely nice. Greta: That is so kind of you, Jack. Jack: No, really. It was -- Greta: No, no, no, I-I -- that is so sweet of you to be concerned about my feelings, but, Jack, I know that I am not of a persuasion, you know, to really ring your chimes. Ha ha ha. Jack: There's something I need to clear up with you right now. Brandon: Here we are. I hope you like cinnamon. Jennifer: Oh, thank you. I do, I do. It's my favorite spice. So, what did you want to talk to me about? Brandon: God, when you smile like that, I forget everything. Jennifer: I'm sorry. Brandon: No, no, no. Don't stop. I like it. I like... Everything about you, Jennifer, which is kind of what I wanted to say. We're looking at date number two, and I was just wondering about the way that our first date ended. Jennifer: Oh, um... I'm sorry. Oh, my goodness. Brandon: Are you all right? Jennifer: Yeah, I知 okay. I'm -- I知 just clumsy, that's all.. Brandon: No, no, no. You're -- so, uh... I wanted to ask you, are you oking forward to going to the movies with me? Jennifer: Oh, yeah. Yeah, I mean, it'll -- it'll be my first french film.. I'm very excited. Brandon: Excited about seeing the movie? Jennifer: Yeah, and I'm excited to be with you. I-I thought that you understood that. Brandon: Not often, but sometimes, I meet a woman, and I just know I知 not going to connect, and then other times, I go off thinking, yeah, you know, there's -- there's a real chance here. And then, very rarely -- you know, it's only happened a couple of times -- I meet a real quality woman, you know? Who's also extremely sexy and... Man, this is -- this is not coming out right. Jennifer: I know. Brandon, I知 -- I'm feeling really confused. Brandon: All right, here it is, straight up. I don't want to start things up with you unless... You're sure you really want the second date with me. Shawn-D: What are you doing, Phil? It's all over .Com that you asked Cynthia to go to the movies with you. Philip: Butt out. Shawn-D: If you think this is the way to get Chloe back -- you're making a big mistake, man. Brady: Well, you're moving on, Phil. Good for you. Philip: Yeah. Brady: All right, listen, man, you can't wait around for Chloe forever, and you know what? I think she got the message. Philip: Oh, what are you -- what are you talking about? Brady: Shawn and I were outside talking with belle and Chloe, and then they stormed off. Chloe looked really upset. I think she heard the news that you and Cynthia were going to the movies. Philip: Good. This may just work. Brady: What was that? What kind of game are you playing, Philip? Belle: Chloe, will you slow down? Chloe: I am so mad at him. How could Philip do this to me? Belle: This is just a guess, but maybe Cynthia put the moves on Philip and he finally gave in. Philip has been really lonely lately, and Cynthia's very relentless. Chloe: He expects me to trust him, but then he turns around and betrays me with that tramp? Belle: Wait a second. Didn't Philip ask you to the movies and you said no? Chloe: So? Belle: So, Chloe, I don't know. I don't want to hurt your feelings, but how long is Philip supposed to wait around to be forgiven? Maybe he figures he just terminally blew it with you, and it's time to move on. Maybe he thinks that's what you want. Chloe: But he just said that he still wants to be my boyfriend. He begged me to take him back. It doesn't make sense. Belle Chloe, what do you want him to do? Chloe: He should fight for me. So what if I致e been giving Philip a hard time lately? What does he expect, with the horrible way he's been treating me? Philip needs to prove himself of being worthy of being my boyfriend, but instead, he's acting like some immature macho jerk who doesn't care about me anymore. Jack: Okay. The truth is... I've never kissed a man. Greta: I-I -- but I thought that you -- Jack: I know, I know, I know. Call me a late bloomer, but I, well -- I致e never -- well, you know, uh... Been with a man. Okay? 'Nough said. Anyway, let's go. Greta: Oh, no, no, no, no. Jack, I-I -- I don't even know what to think. Jack: Well, I-I think that the man-to-man thing just isn't in the cards for me. Greta: But, Jack, how can you deny, you know, who you are? Jack: Oh, very easily, believe me. I've been doing it for years. Denying myself, that is. Greta: Well, not any longer. No, no, no. I care way too much about you to let you sublimate your deepest impulses any longer, Jack. Jack: What are you -- Greta: I am going to help you come out of the closet, Jack. Jack: Shh, please, please, keep your voice down, please. Greta: Fine, fine, if you want me to be discreet about it, I will, but I am going to fix you up with a man if it is the last thing that I do, Jack, and I am going to start with Harold. Jack: Harold? Greta: Yes, yes. The two of you got along beautifully the other night at the Blue Note. Jack: He admired my writing. Of course I-I thought he was interesting. Greta: Well, not only did he admire you professionally, Jack, he admired you personally, too. Jack: What on earth are you suggesting, Princess? Greta: I am suggesting the two of you go out on a date. You know, and if Harold has his way, it'll end in a good night kiss, and then he'll invite you upstair s for a little nightcap, and then -- and then nature will, you know, take its course -- well, from a little nudge from Harold. Jack: Good God. Greta: Oh, Jack, he's exactly what you need. He wants so badly to help you come out of the closet, Jack. Jack: Oh, no, no, no. I don't want to hear any more. Not for my virgin ears. No. [Humming] Greta: You are more and more adorable every day, Jack. If you were straight, ooh, I would -- mm! Jack: Mm. Brandon: I've never said anything like this to a woman before -- well, not after just one date. Jennifer: Oh. You know, Brandon, I'm not really sure what I want right now or what I can tell you. Brandon: I don't mean long-range. No major commitment. Jennifer: Well, to tell you the truth... Brandon: Uh-oh. Jennifer: No, I mean, I was nervous whether or not you even wanted to go out on a second date with me. Brandon: No way. Jennifer: Yeah, I mean, that's why I called you. I thought, you know, I must have misunderstood, or Brandon changed his mind -- Brandon: Why would you think that? Jennifer: Brandon, I have not been out on a date in so long, and it's -- it's still hard for me to believe that I am still... Brandon: You are very desirable, Jennifer, if that's what you were going to say. Jennifer: Brandon, my social life -- I mean, if you can even call it that -- has been really confusing lately, and, you know, you're coming off Sami, I am coming off Jack asking me to marry him again. And -- I don't want to go into details, 'cause anything involving Jack right now is very complicated. Brandon: No problem. Jennifer: But, listen, if you were wondering whether I want to go out with you on a second date, my answer is yes. I do, very much. Jennifer: Mmm. Brandon: Sometimes you can say a lot without talking at all. Jennifer: Yeah, I like it that way. So we are on for date number two. Brandon: You bet. No pressure, no games. Jennifer: Ah, doesn't that sound wonderful? And you know, be honest -- Brandon: You say that a lot -- "to be honest." Jennifer: Well, I believe in being truthful. Brandon: It's the only way. What were you going to say? Jennifer: Oh, well, I was going to say if you were not such a gentleman, I would be very nervous about this date. You know, the world has changed a lot since the last time I have been out on a date, so I may seem really old-fashioned to you. Brandon: I like you just the way you are. Jennifer: And I like you just the way you are, Brandon, and that includes the fact that you are not at all bad-looking, and that my heart races every time I知 near you. Oh, my gosh. I can't believe I just said that. Brandon: No, no, no, it's -- it's good to tell each other this stuff. Jennifer: Okay. Brandon: All right. Jennifer: Okay, then you tell me something. Brandon: All right, we've only been on one official date, but... I keep flashing on it, you know, when I知 at work or when I'm driving home -- I'm just sort of... Thinking about you a lot. Jennifer: I think about you a lot, too. Jack: Mm. Greta: Mm. Jack: Greta, what's gotten into you? Greta: Oh, Jack, you are so magnetic, I can't even help myself. I mean, it's not like, you know, a kiss from me is going to get you all worked up. I mean, I'm the one torturing myself. Jack: Well, just, uh, just cut -- cut it out. Greta: Oh, Jack Deveraux, I love you. I've finally met someone more screwed up than I am. Jack: I beg your pardon. I'm very well-adjusted. Greta: Oh, be real, Jack. As far as s-e-x is concerned, you know, I might not be in the ball game, but I have been on the playing field with a guy or two. You, on the other hand, you are still hiding in the locker room, afraid to come out -- ha ha -- quite literally. Ha ha. So, on a scale from 1 to 10, who is the most screwed up? Jack, you're about a 10. Jack: If you're trying to cheer me up, you're doing a lousy job. Greta: Oh, Jack, just don't get all tense on me. Jack: Ahh. Oh, Princess, you've got the magic fingers. Just wait a minute. No, no, no, please, please. Don't stop. Greta: Yeah. You know, the only thing that would be better is a Swedish massage from a big blond macho man. Jack: Oh, no, no, Princess, you're -- this is going too far. Greta: Oh, Jack, it hasn't gone far enough. I mean, mm, you know, you need some action, Jack, and I'm going to make it my mission to get you some. Jack: My plan has gone so far afield, I don't even know how to get back on track. Greta: What plan? Jack: The only plan that counts -- trying to get back together with Jennifer, trying to be a family with my wife and daughter. Instead, you're trying to set me up with some butch masseur and Jennifer's setting up for date number two with Brandon, and...Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. I know where you can help me, Princess. Belle: You are my friend and I want to support you, Chloe, but I'm Philip's friend, too, and I spent this entire past summer listening to him talk about his feelings for you. Now I can't help but think that for him to ask Cynthia out, he really believes he doesn't have a chance with you anymore. Whose fault is that? Chloe: If his love is so limited, then he doesn't deserve me. Belle: You keep making these pronouncements, but they sound so empty. Having a sweet guy like Philip be in love with you must be so hard to give up, but you are acting like you couldn't care less, like you don't need him anymore. Maybe Philip's just starting to believe you. Chloe: He should have had more faith in me, more faith in our love. Belle: I don't understand you right now, Chloe. Obviously, Philip is still in love with you, and from the way you're talking it sounds like you're still in love with him, too, but I am the only one that knows this? Shouldn't you be telling Philip how you feel? Jason: Ladies, ladies, here you go. Cynthia: [Sighs] one date with me and Philip will be, like, "Chloe who?" Jason: Go, Cynthia. Ha ha ha. Jan: Your tongue's hanging out. Jason: Yeah, yeah, me and every other guy here. What's up, Shawn? Shawn-D: Hey. Jason: Did you hear about the, uh, big night with Cynthia and Philip? Shawn-D: Oh, he asked her to the movies. It's not a big deal. Jason: Not a big deal? If Cynthia gets her way, it'll be the height of Philly's young life. Her parents are out of town. She has plans of entertaining him -- in the bedroom. Ha ha ha. I'm not talking video games here. He is going to get his world rocked. Oh, yeah. Brady: All right, Philip, listen to me. If you're asking out this Cynthia babe as a way of making Chloe jealous or some dumb game like that, you're going to regret it. Chloe may be hard to read, but she's no game-player. She leads with her head. It protects her heart. Philip: How come you're this expert on Chloe all of a sudden? Brady: I'm just trying to tell you that Chloe is not like other teenage girls, but, hey, if you don't want to take my advice, if you think what you're doing is right, go ahead. I warned you. Philip: Hey, hey, hey, hey. Okay, so maybe I don't get it or maybe I don't understand her, but tell me why you think she's so different, Brady. Brady: 'Cause Chloe has God-given gifts, Philip, and while that makes her lucky, it's also a burden 'cause she feels the responsibility to use those gifts appropriately.. Philip: She's got an awesome voice. What's the problem? Brady: The problem is she doesn't know how to connect that awesome voice to those tender feelings that she has inside, feelings of pain, of loss -- Philip: All right, that's enough. Brady: I thought you wanted to know more about Chloe, Philip. Philip: Hey, she was my girlfriend all last year, and now you're acting like you know her better than anybody, like you got the inside track on Chloe's heart? No, I knew it.. I knew you were after her. It's been going on for months -- the whole summer while I was away. You're in love with Chloe. Admit it. We will return for the second half of "Days of Our Lives" in just a moment. Chloe: How can I tell Philip anything? He's impossible to have a conversation with. He just gets paranoid and irrational. Belle: If you mean he's jealous and upset that you're t his girlfriend anymore, yeah, Chloe, that's true. Philip is in love with you and love makes people do some pretty crazy things. I just think that if you don't give him a break soon, you might lose him forever. Greta: I am so glad you want my help, Jack. I just happen to have Harold's number right here in my bag. Jack: Oh, forget about Harold, will you? I want you, Princess... as my date for the movies. Greta: Oh. Jack: We're going to sit in the back row with a big tub of popcorn and I'm going to keep my eyes glued to Jennifer and that over pumped hunk. Greta: Do you mind if I bring Harold along? Jack: That would be a terrible idea. What if Jennifer saw me sitting next to him in the back row in the dark? I mean, good Lord, what would she think? Greta: Jennifer might find it liberating to see you out there dating. It might inspire her, Jack. Jack: That's the last thing that I want. It's bad enough that she's going with that kiddie counselor on date number two. I can't wait any longer to get back with Jennifer, and this -- this whole Harold obsession of yours is just getting in the way. Greta: Jack, I know at first things are going to seem a little topsy-turvy. I mean, you've been in denial for such a long, long time. I mean, you've been stuck in this rut of wanting Jennifer. Jack: Oh. Greta: But I have been doing some reading on the subject, Jack, and I don't think you're eve truly going to feel alive until you, you know, you allow yourself to be swept away by the man of your dreams. Jack: Whatever trash you're reading, stop right now. Now, about our date -- I'm going to pick you up, and together we'll put a stop to Jennifer's so-called romance with Brandon Walker. The evening may begin with anxiety, but it will end on a high note, Princess. Greta: It might end on a high note, Jack, but not the one you're thinking of. Oh, just the man I was looking for. I am on a mission, Harold, and I need your help. Harold: My help? I shouldn't even be speaking to you. Brandon: So you've been thinking about me, huh? Jennifer: Yes, yes, at the most surprising times. Brandon: Well, I hope that's a good thing. Jennifer: Oh, yeah. Yeah, it is. Like the other night -- I was cooking dinner for Abby and I was thinking about our date and, you know, you were telling me how you don't cook very much, but when you do, it's mouth-watering. Brandon: When I do something, I go all out. I throw myself into things. Jennifer: I love that. Brandon: Like right now -- I'm giving you all my attention. I hope you love that, too. Jennifer: I think that I could get used to it. You know when you get a song in your head sometimes? That's what this feels like. Brandon: You mean I知 driving you nuts and you wish I壇 go away? Jennifer: No, no, no. No, just the opposite. It's a really nice sweet song, and I like it. I like it a lot. Brandon: I like thinking about you, too. It makes my day. The only thing better than thinking about you is being with you, seeing that smile. Jennifer: So I guess we are definitely on for our second date. Brandon: Can't wait. Jennifer: Oh, gosh, Brandon, you -- you really need to get back to the hospital Brandon: I've still got five minutes. Jennifer: I know, and it's going to take you five minutes to walk back there. Brandon: Aw, if I run, I could make it in two. I don't want to leave you, Jennifer. Philip: All this acting like you actually care how I feel -- like you're not totally into Chloe yourself? Good old Brady -- pretending to be my friend and the whole time you're getting primed to take my place. You're telling me not to play games when you're the big game-player, aren't you? Playing games with me and Chloe, too, aren't you? Brady: You know, Philip, I'd really love to stand here and argue with you, but there's no point. You're going to believe what you want to believe no matter what I say. I'd really hate to live inside your head. Belle: Maybe I was wrong. Maybe you don't care about Philip as much as I thought you did. I mean, you survived the whole summer without him. Maybe the spell is broken. Chloe, you're crying. Chloe: I miss him so much, Belle. I miss him being my boyfriend. Philip was the first guy who ever kissed me. I had my first date with him, and when we were together I always felt so safe and so loved. Chloe: Ever since we broke up, all I ever feel is sad. It hurts, Belle. It really hurts. Greta: Harold, what did I do? Harold: Hard for me to say since I'm not speaking to you. Greta: Okay, would you calm down and tell me what's wrong? Harold: I was at Baron's, picking out a new set of cuff links when I suddenly realized and remembered when we were talking earlier and I said that I thought you might have a little crusheroo on Jack, too, you didn't deny it. No, you did not. Light bulb time, honey. If you are in love with Jack, then this whole situation is just a little too "Will & Grace" for me. Greta: Harold, you're getting carried away. Harold: That's not all. You planted a big wet one on my Jack. I saw you. Greta: Harold, you, of all people -- Harold: Unh-unh. You followed that up with a shoulder massage. I could feel the lust oozing from your fingertips from 50 feet away. You two looked very cozy. Greta: You, of all people, know that you should not judge something by appearances. Jack and I are friends. Harold: Hmm! Greta: Very close, close friends, and -- and he and I were -- were having a discussion about something very personal. Greta: Jack confided in me that he has never been with a man, that he has been denying himself all of these years and, Harold, I mean, that breaks my heart because this is a wonderful man that hasn't come to terms with who he is and what he needs. Harold: So you and Jack were just... Greta: It was an affectionate kiss, Harold. That is all. Jack and I -- we will always be just friends, but you and he, on the other hand, now... Now I'm not saying that I think that the two of you are going to end up spending the rest of your lives together, but I think that you might be opening up a whole new world to him, you know? Just, you know, your openness, your acceptance of who you are, I just -- I think it might rub off on him and, you know, he -- he will finally realize that being true to himself is the only way he's going to find fulfillment as a human being. Harold: Your highness, I salute your devotion to your friend. Greta: Ha ha ha. Harold: And now that I understand your position, I'm counting on you to advance my case with our dear Jack. Greta: Oh, don't you worry. I'm working up a plan right now. Harold: Ooh -- details. Greta: Okay, here's the deal. Over here. What I am thinking is I知 supposed to go to the movies with Jack, right? And we are going to be spying on his ex-wife Jennifer and her date with Brandon Walker. Now I think this is what my plan is going to be. Jason: Philip, my boy, ready for your hot date with Cynthia? Ready for some heavy ac-ti-on? Philip: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm -- I知 up for it. It's been too long.. Jason: Man, it's been way too long. He's back. You go, Phil. Give me some skin, brother. Mm! So what about you and me? Are we going to get hot and heavy after the movies? Jan: [Screams] Jason: What's wrong? You said you were going to lighten up. Jan: I'm trying. Don't give up on me, okay? Jason: I guess. Jan: I'll see you guys. You boys play and have fun now. Jan: Hey. Shawn-D: Hey. You want to listen to this band? They're really cool. Jan: Sure. Belle: You know, something doesn't seem right. Cynthia was so eager to tell you Philip asked her out. She and Jan were too happy. Chloe: So? Belle: So maybe it's a setup. Chloe: No, it doesn't make any sense. Philip asked Cynthia out of his own free will, and I was crying and I stopped of my own free will. Belle: I feel so bad for you. Chloe: No, please don't. On a scale of 1 to 10 in the life of Chloe Lane, this is, like, a 3 -- no, a 2. Look, I'm sorry. Don't let my situation ruin anything between you and Shawn.. You guys are going to have a great time at the movies. Belle: What about you? Would you go if my brother asked you? Chloe: Belle, how many times have we been through this? It's just a hypothetical situation. Belle: I'm just letting my imagination fly. I mean, if you're really never going to forgive Philip, if you and Philip are just so over, it would be great if you were going out with my brother. It would be so much fun. Come on, Chloe, we could hang out all the time -- Shawn, me, you, Brady. Chloe: Belle, that is the worst idea you've ever had. Please forget it. Don't ever mention that to Brady and don't ever bring it up in front of me again either because the last person in the world I壇 want to go to the movies with is Brady. Brandon: Come on. Come on. Oh, come on. Is that all you got? Jennifer: Ha ha ha. Brandon: [Laughs] come on. Jennifer: Oh! Oh, you win... But, no, no, I win. Ha ha ha. Brandon: And your prize is me, for another 30 seconds. Jennifer: Oh, Brandon, you're going to be so late. I am so sorry. Brandon: No, I've never had such a good reason before. Besides, I値l work twice as hard after spending time with such a -- an exciting beautiful woman. Man, I can't believe how much I知 looking forward to going to the movies. Jennifer: Oh, the movies. That's right -- "a man and a woman," right? Brandon: That's it. That's us. Jennifer: Ha ha. Brandon: Can I call you? Jennifer: Yeah, yeah, I would love it. Brandon: I'll call you after Abby goes to bed. Jennifer: Thank you. Brandon: Here I go. Jennifer: Okay. Bye-bye. Jennifer: Jack, what... Jack: Oh, hello, Jennifer. I didn't see you there. Such a small world. Jennifer: There's nobody else here, Jack. You must have seen me. Jack: Well, actually, I-I saw a man running like he might be carrying a hot watch, you know, a thief. I was wondering whether I should alert the authorities or not when I heard your voice. How are you, Jennifer? Jennifer: You know that was Brandon, and he was running because he doesn't want to be late for work, all right? Let's -- let's not play these games, okay? Jack: All right. I saw you and I couldn't deal with it. There. How was that? No games -- what a concept. I like it. May I walk you home? Jennifer: Actually, I was headed in that direction. So yeah, sure. Why not? But I'm not going to need your arm, big guy. Jack: Chicken. Jennifer: Don't play with me, Deveraux. Jack: You used to like playing, as I remember. Mm-hmm. Ha ha.. Harold: The massage you gave Jack earlier -- what was his response? I was too far away to hear. Did he get into it? Greta: Well, everyone loves being massaged. Yeah, but come to think about it he did turn to butter under my fingers from the second I touched him. You know, I think Jack does love being massaged. Harold: You have given me an excellent idea, Princess. You find a way to get Jack back to your apartment after the movies and leave the rest to me. Brady: Hey, girls. To, uh, continue our conversation -- Chloe: What conversation? Brady: Conversation about Belle and Shawn going to the movies, but, you, you'll probably be at home washing your hair, seeing as you and Philip are no longer a couple. Belle: Brady. Brady: No, I was just thinking what a drag that's going to be 'cause Chloe's hair's, like, three feet long and really thick. Chloe: I don't need you to worry about my hair. Brady: I'm merely suggesting that we keep Belle and her young man company on their date at the movies. Come on. It'll be fun. We'll -- we'll hang out. We can even get one of those large boxes of gummi worms. Chloe: Sounds like a plan. Belle: But, Chloe, you just said -- Jason: Taking off? Philip: Yeah, I知 getting up. Philip: [Thinking] I wonder if asking Cynthia out is a big mistake. What if it backfires and Chloe never forgives me? Hell, she may never forgive me anyway, and if anybody's playing games it's her. It's like she doesn't care how much she hurts me. No, no, no, no, no, I've got to go through with this. It's the only way to teach Chloe a lesson. |
