Marie: Miss Walker, how are you? I’m so sorry about your--

Nicole: Victor won’t be coming in this morning. He’s staying home with Philip.

Marie: Yes. He phoned. That’s how I knew--

Nicole: Did you make those calls for me?

Marie: I left messages. I’m waiting to hear back.

Nicole: Let me know when you do. In the meantime, I don’t want to be disturbed.

Marie: If you'd like me to return any of these calls for you--

Nicole: Ahem. Well, back to work.

Mimi: School.

Shawn-D: Since when is that a happy word?

Mimi: Since now. Makeup work, toilet-scrubbing-- I don’t even care, as long as I’m back in boring old Salem.

Belle: Boring? I don’t think so.

Mimi: Do you want me to go sit up front with your dad and Brady? Because I don’t think it’s crowded enough up there.

Belle: No, Meems. You're fine. I wonder why they wouldn’t sit with us anyway?

Brady: Hey, Dad, do you want to call?

John: That’s a good idea. Speed-dial.

[Telephone rings]

Marlena: Hello.

John: Hey, honey, it’s me. We're on our way. So, did you do it?

Marlena: Yes, sirree. All systems are go. Well, just about.

John: Good job, baby. Excellent job.

Marlena: So, do you think they'll be surprised?

Caroline: Oh, for goodness sake.

Sami: What are you doing?

Caroline: You blew this balloon up yourself and tied it, too? What a talent. I’ve got a reliable helper here, and I’m going to put him to work.

Will: Ok, Grandma.

Sami: Ok. Awesome.

Caroline: Oh, great.

Sami: Austin, go.

Austin: No. I want to wait for the family, you know. I want to welcome them home.

Sami: Yeah, but you told me how crazy it is at Titan, and I don’t want you to worry about your job. Besides, I mean, your family’s not going to be here.

Austin: Sami, my family, your family -- ok -- it’s the same thing.

Sami: Look, I wouldn’t tell you to go if I didn’t understand. You're doing this for us. Thank you.

Hope: Somebody knows his big brother’s coming home somebody knows his big brother’s coming home

Caroline: Oh, sweetie.

Hope: I cannot wait for Shawn to hear you say "Daddy."

Caroline: Ahh.

Hope: Hey, bunny.

Nancy: Craig, do people really paint signs and blow up balloons themselves?

Craig: Well, Nancy, not everyone hires someone to do it for them.

Nancy: Chloe better at least speak to us.

Craig: She'll speak to us, Nancy. Trust me, she'll speak to us.

Waitress: It’s C-H-L-O-E, right?

Craig: C-H-L-O-E. Oh!

Nancy: Local yokels.

Colin: "Closed for private party."

Elizabeth: Oh, too bad. Well, we could go to that little bistro which is down around the corner.

Grandpa: You wouldn’t be leaving a party, would you? What kind of an Irishman are you?

Elizabeth: The sort who’s engaged to an English woman.

Grandpa: Listen, you'll pay no attention to that sign. I mean, you have to know that family is always welcome, and that goes for you, too, Elizabeth.

Colin: What’s the occasion, uncle Shawn?

Grandpa: Well, my grandson and his friends, they're back from giving us the biggest scare of our lives. I’ll tell you -- listen. Come on. Join us, will you? Come on in. Come on.

Colin: Thank you. I think we will.

Grandpa: Good.

Hope: Can someone tell me if this is even or not?

Colin: Bring your side up a hair.

Hope: How’s that?

Bo: Yeah.

Hope: Ok, how’s that? Good? Hey, hi.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Hope: I hear you're a Brady cousin, huh? Gonna introduce us?

John: Well, the kids are pretty tired, Doc. I don’t think they're gonna want to stay too late, so that will give you and I plenty of time tonight to celebrate.

Marlena: Oh. Well, then I can’t wait to unwrap my present.

Brady: So are they ready yet or what? Come on.

John: Our estimated time of arrival is about two minutes, ok?

Marlena: Uh, no. Could you make it about 15?

John: The waiting is going to be torture. 15, it is. We'll find a detour. I love you.

Marlena: I love you, too.

John: Bye.

John: Hey, kids. I know you're starving. What do you say we stop at the Burger Barn on the way?

Belle: Actually, Dad, we were just talking about how much we want to go home.

Shawn-D: I was hoping Mom and Dad were going to be at the airport. I kind of wanted to see J.T.

John: Yeah, well, I guess that’s what you get for not calling ahead. And, sweetheart, I know that you're anxious to see Marlena, but the fact of the matter is, she was working late and didn’t have a chance to cook, lucky for us!

Belle: So, Dad, why don’t we just order in like we normally do?

Brady: No way. Come on. It’s gonna take too long, and I’m starving. Besides, how long has it been since you had red meat, huh? How can you stand it?

Belle: Brady, Chloe’s gone her whole life without eating red meat.

Brady: Yeah, well, uh, Chloe’s not here, so why should we deprive ourselves, right? It’s fast food. What does it take, like five minutes, right?

John: Yeah.

Brady: And then you can go home and take your little bubble bath or whatever it is you want to do. Back to life as usual.

Shawn-D: Which is great, except for the fact that I’ve kind of gotten used to being around you 24/7.

Craig: Come here.

Nancy: 10 more minutes?

Craig: Yes.

Nancy: Why don’t we take a little longer hanging these signs?

Craig: Some of us are working as fast as we can.

Marlena: I understand that you're impatient to have your daughter home, but her plane hasn’t landed yet.

Craig: Oh.

Nancy: Oh?

Marlena: No, but she got my message to come here as soon as she does touch down, so I’m sure it'll be very, very soon.

Craig: Good. Thanks, Marlena.

Marlena: Mm-hmm.

Craig: Thanks.

Nancy: Yes, thank you, Marlena. Thank you for planning every detail of my daughter’s return, including this party, which she is going to detest.

Craig: Nancy, maybe she knows something we don’t.

Nancy: Oh, well, Craig, that wasn’t hurtful enough. Why don’t you go find a knife and plunge it into my heart?

Craig: How about a fork?

Bo: This is my wife Hope. Cousin Colin and his fiancée Elizabeth.

Colin: Pleased to meet you.

Hope: Nice to meet you. Very nice to meet you, as well. You've been in town for a while, haven’t you? I can’t believe this is the first time we've gotten together.

Colin: Yes. Well, Liz and I have been rather busy. If you'll excuse us, we should go say hello to aunt Caroline.

Elizabeth: Ok.

Hope: Uh, ok. Hmm. What’s up with them?

Bo: Wish I knew.

Hope: How did a Brady ever end up with an accent like that, huh?

Bo: Yeah. And a British fiancée.

Austin: No. I’m gonna pick up will, ok? We need some guy time.

Sami: Ha ha ha!

Austin: So I’ll definitely be seeing you later, right?

Sami: Great.

Austin: Ok. Where’s my big guy?

Marlena: Hey, is Austin leaving already?

Sami: Yeah. Well, he’s, um -- he’s had to really focus on work now because he knows he’s gonna have a family to support soon.

Marlena: Did he say that?

Sami: Believe it or not, we've been getting very close this summer.

Marlena: I believe it. I can see how happy you are.

Sami: But you don’t think Austin and I were meant to be together.

Marlena: Oh, I’d never say that.

Sami: But you won’t say that we are.

Marlena: Sami, you're happy. That is all that I care about. I like Austin. I do.

Sami: So does Will. And I know you can’t tell me what’s gonna happen in the future. I mean, Belle goes on this class trip to Puerto Rico, and look what happens. I’m just glad to have so many wonderful people in my life. Like you, Mom.

Marlena: Mmm.

Sami: And I know that no matter what happens between me and Austin, I’m always gonna have my son, like I have you, and that means that I’m always gonna have love in my life.

Marlena: I’m so proud of you. Look how you've grown up.

Sami: Don’t worry, Mom. You still have Belle.

Marlena: Hmm. She’s not so little anymore. But I’m glad you came. It’s so nice to have you here now.

Sami: Of course. Family is everything.

Marlena: Mmm. Ooh! He’s got the paints.

Sami: Back to work. Yup. Family means me and will and Austin, and that is definitely the way it’s always gonna be.

Austin: Marie, I’m missing three contracts.

Marie: The messenger just --

Austin: They were supposed to be here first thing.

Marie: I’m sorry. I called several times.

Austin: No, no, no. I’m sorry. It’s not your problem or mine, now that I mention it. So victor’s not coming in, right? Staying home with Philip?

Marie: Right. Ms. Walker got in a few minutes ago. Lucky you.

Paul: Want to know a secret? I wish I did. I wish I knew all about you, Nicky.

Nicole: What are you talking about?

Paul: Isn’t it obvious? That’s my one regret about the old days -- that all I did was watch while you gave it away to those pigs on the set and the creeps who'd watch later. I wish I tried you first myself, but what the hell? Better late than never, right, Nick? Come on, baby. Show Daddy what you can do.

Nicole: No. Bastard!

Paul: Please help me. You want to kill me, Nick?

Brady: Don’t do that!

Nicole: Oh, Daddy! Daddy!

Paul: Ok. Uhh. All right.

Nicole: Aah! Wait! No! Let me go!

Paul: Hmm hmm.

Nicole: Uhh!

Paul: All right. You're the one that’s gonna die.

Nicole: No!

Paul: I’ll finish you off this time. I’m not gonna die. It’s you. I’ll kill you. Uhh!

Nurse: Ok. Take it easy. We got him. Now lie down.

Nicole: Is he -- is he dead?

Nurse: He’s dead.

Nicole: Ooh! Oh. God. I will never shed another tear for you again.

Belle: Ok. We're almost done with our food. Can we go now?

John: Come on, Belle. Let me finish my food, ok?

Belle: Ok. I’m sorry.

Brady: You know, Belle, I haven’t finished yet, either.

John: Mm.

Belle: Yeah, but, Brady, who cares about you?

Mimi: You guys are stalling.

John: What guys? What guys?

Brady: Who, us?

John: Uh-uh.

Brady: Come on.

John: Let me tell you a little story. I remember a time when Shawn’s mom had a horrible experience with ketchup in the back seat of a limousine.

Brady: That’s right. Mm-hmm.

Mimi: Oh, yeah. She did.

Belle: Ok. Then you know what? We're finished. Ha ha! Let’s go.

John: Whatever you say. All right, Barry. Fire it up. We're out of here.

Sami: And the wine.

Caroline: That’s a good helper. I’m sorry Austin couldn’t stay. I’m gonna fix him a platter.

Sami: Oh, well, thank you. He'll definitely be psyched about that. I hear you all, uh, cater weddings, too, right?

Caroline: Oh!

Sami: Hee hee!

Caroline: Uh-huh.

Craig: Nancy, look. I don’t mean to critique your counseling skills, by any means, but, you know, Marlena’s got a degree in the field, and she’s had years of experience, and she’s got a lot of good things to say, whether you think so or not.

Nancy: Craig --

Craig: No, no. Even after you tried to send her daughter to the death chamber --

Nancy: Craig! It’s an honest mistake.

Craig: Marlena was willing to help you with Chloe until that stupid radio show came between the two of you. Now, Nancy, you won, ok? And you're holding a grudge, for what reason, I don’t know because it’s just hurting you.

Elizabeth: Darling, if we must be in Salem because your family’s here, perhaps you might wish to treat them civilly.

Colin: Look who’s talking.

Elizabeth: I’m getting on quite nicely with your aunt, thank you very much. I thought you didn’t know this Bo Brady. So what’s not to like?

Colin: I understand he’s given uncle Shawn some trouble over the years. Perhaps I’m holding that against him subconsciously.

Caroline: Breathe.

Sami: Ok. Blow harder. Yeah. You can do it. Yeah.

Hope: I know what you've been whispering to J.T. "Mmm-mama."

Bo: Well, I thought it wouldn’t hurt to practice. How did you know?

Hope: Because all week, he’s been saying, "mm-Dada."

Bo: Ha ha ha! Oh, sorry.

Hope: No. Don’t be sorry. You don’t need to be sorry. You know, I didn’t tell you, but J.T. recognizes your truck when you drive into the driveway.

Bo: Oh, yeah?

Hope: Yeah. He points to the door, and he looks up, and he thinks, "hmm. If he’s not in here in seven seconds, I’m gonna start throwing things."

Bo: Oh? Well, you're not half as glad to see me as I am to see you. You know what? I’m starving. Let’s go find something to eat.

Hope: No junk food, ok?

Bo: Oh, yeah, right.

Marlena: I’m sure you know you did the right thing.

Belle: Where are we going?

John: I don’t know. Kind of looks like there’s a detour on University.

Brady: Yeah. A detour. That’s it.

Belle: Come on.

John: Oh, all right. All right. We give up.

Brady: We do?

John: We're going to a party at the pub, ok?

Mimi: A party?

John: Yeah. Caroline made Marlena a birthday cake so we can all celebrate together.

Belle: Dad, that is so great, but why didn’t you tell us before?

John: Yeah. Like anyone in this family can keep a secret?

Belle: Oh, and you think Brady can?

Mimi: Much better than you, Belle. Thanks for inviting me. I didn’t know it was your mom’s birthday. She’s so cool.

Shawn-D: Are my parents gonna be there with J.T.?

John: You betcha.

Nicole: Marie, what part of "do not disturb" do you not understand?

Austin: Well, I missed that instruction and a couple hundred others while you've been away.

Nicole: Oh, you got a haircut.

Austin: Yeah. So I would have disturbed you a lot these past couple of weeks, except I didn’t know where you were going or even that you were going.

Nicole: Austin, I don’t answer to you. Do you need me to remind you that it’s the other way around?

Austin: Well, I just want you to know that 100 deals would have fallen apart if I wasn’t here doing your job while you were off frolicking in the tropics with my mother’s ex-husband.

Nicole: What I do with Victor is none of your business. But you're right, Austin. Our trip was of a personal nature. Would you like to know what I was doing? I’m happy to tell you. I was watching my father die.

Nancy: Craig, my ratings are triple those that the Dr. Marlena show got. She’s jealous of the fact. [Sighs] And so it’s my fault that she no longer deigns to give me advice about my own daughter. I am clearly the superior advice-giver. This is the woman who has the, um, ex-con daughter, the runaway son. Remember Eric?

Craig: Mm-hmm.

Nancy: And the delightful stepson whom she thought was trying to kill her other daughter. I mean, this is clearly the dynamics that I want for our family.

Craig: Forget I said it.

Nancy: Craig, I’m telling you right now, this woman couldn’t even -- she couldn’t even coach a roach out of a garbage bag.

Craig: Going to have chicken, ok?

Colin: Hello. I hope I’m not interrupting.

Nancy: Oh, no. It’s always a pleasure to see you.

Craig: You remember my wife, don’t you, Colin?

Nancy: Uh-huh. Certainly, he does. Hello.

Craig: What are you doing?

Nancy: Well, I’m sure that’s how they greet people in Europe.

Elizabeth: I’m from Europe, but something tells me I wasn’t about to get the same greeting, thankfully.

Hope: I am so glad that you finally agree that I did the right thing. I mean, I know initially that you thought that I should tell Bo the truth, so thank you very much for supporting me when I decided not to. And when I tried to change my mind, thank you for that, as well and for understanding that that was the wrong thing to do at that time. But I will tell you you were right. Bo never would have been able to forgive the lies... And he especially couldn’t forgive that John is our baby’s father.

Marlena: Our children couldn’t, either.

Hope: Right. Guess the last thing you want to find out about your potential mate is that you share a brother.

Marlena: A potential mate?

Hope: What’s wrong? Don’t you approve of my son?

Marlena: Oh, ha ha ha. I adore Shawn. I think he’s a little young.

Hope: Well, let me tell you something. When I was his age, I knew that Brady over there would be the love of my life and the only man I ever loved. And you know what? I was one million percent right.

Marlena: Belle, are you sure you don’t need me to come down there?

Belle: Mom, I told you, I’m fine. I’m not a little girl anymore. I’m a woman now.

Marlena: Uh, has Shawn made any decisions about where he wants to go to college? Is he going far away, staying close to home?

Hope: Well, he says he wants to join the merchant marines, but I don’t see him going too far away from his little brother over there.

Marlena: Hmm.

Hope: Or your daughter, for that matter.

[Marlena gasps]

Marlena: Belle, you know, wants to apply to every college in the country, and she also would like to spend her junior year abroad.

Hope: I really don’t think you have anything to worry about. Belle is so smart, I’m sure she'll make the right decisions about her future. And if she does end up with Shawn, there’s no stopping true love. Now, you should know that.

Marlena: Yes, but there’s no rush to get there if it’s meant to be, hmm?

Grandpa: They're here! They're here! Come on, look out! They're here!

[Laughter]

[Balloon pops]

Marlena: Aah!

Caroline: Shh!

All: Surprise!

[All cheering]

[Balloon pops]

[All talking at once]

Brady: Hey!

Hope: Yay! Welcome home, everybody!

Brady: Yeah, this is great.

Marlena’s voice: Oh, my sweet girl. I hope you haven’t done something you'll regret.

Austin: Uh, wait. I don’t get it.

Nicole: I thought I was speaking English.

Austin: Are you joking, or are you serious?

Nicole: Why would I joke about my father being dead?

Austin: I don’t know. I... I’m sorry. You seem...

Nicole: Happy? Well, in fact, I willed my father to die, and he did, right in front of me -- right after he tried to strangle the life out of me, since slitting my throat didn’t work, so I guess you could say I got what I wanted. Now, the Carlson merger is something else I also want very much, so please bring me up to speed immediately.

Austin: Whoa, whoa. Wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait. You're acting like you don’t want to talk about it, but you don’t just blurt something out so terrible because you want to keep it all inside. Now, seriously, what happened with your father?

Bo: There. Did you say hi to brother, huh?

Shawn-D: Where’s Gran?

Hope: She was feeling a little under the weather today.

Shawn-D: But she’s ok?

Hope: Oh, yeah. She’s absolutely fine. She desperately wanted to be here, and she told me to give you this. Mmm-wah!

Bo: Heh heh heh.

Sami: Well, only you two could come back from an island adventure looking like you were just at the spa.

Brady: Ha ha ha!

Mimi: It was pretty spa-like until the end there.

Marlena: Oh...

Belle: Will, look at you! You lost a couple of teeth!

Sami: Ha ha ha!

Belle: You cannot believe how much I missed you.

Sami: Oh, Belle.

Mimi: You'd get along great with my little brother, you know that, Will?

Marlena: Mimi, your family’s on their way over right now.

Mimi: They are?

Marlena: Yes.

Mimi: Oh, thank you! This is the best!

John: So are you.

Mimi: Aw.

Craig: Hey, guys, some punch, maybe?

Nancy: You know, dear, it would be so much easier for me to greet you if, um, I knew just who you were.

Colin: Oh, I’m sorry. This is my fiancée, Elizabeth Cox.

Nancy: Fiancée. Oh. Dr. Murphy, I hear hearts breaking all over the hospital.

Elizabeth: Oh, my goodness. Dr. Wesley, where are my manners? Just a traditional European hello.

Marlena: Excuse me. I’m the best?

John: Mm-hmm.

Marlena: What about you two? What you did? I mean, I made a little party, but you brought everybody home safely. And I don’t think I ever want you all going anywhere ever again.

John: Ok, you got a deal. You got a deal.

Sami: Ok, Mom, promise.

Marlena: Oh, good, good. Brady... That wasn’t really "thank you" enough. I love you.

[Sniffles]

Brady: You're welcome.

Belle: My brother, the hero.

Brady: Well, don’t forget about Mimi, our great navigator.

Mimi: Uh, yeah, right.

Brady: No, seriously, Mimi. I know we gave you a hard time, but we never would have found them without you... Or Chloe. By the way, she really should be here by now.

John: Well, her plane was right behind ours.

Belle: I guess Philip’s not coming?

Marlena: Oh, his father wanted him to come right home and go right to bed.

Belle: Well, I’m thirsty. Can we get a drink?

Marlena: Come with me, sweetheart.

John: I’m sure she’s going to come walking through that door any second now.

Sami: Ok, you have a fork and a napkin. Let’s go eat.

Brady: Whoa! Interception there, big guy. Give me five, Will. Good job, man.

Sami: Nice save. Come on, Will.

Craig: Elizabeth, this is my wife, Nancy Wesley.

Elizabeth: This is your wife? Ha ha ha.

Nancy: Yes. You're not the only one, sweetheart, who can get a gorgeous man.

Elizabeth: If you'll excuse me.

Bo: Oh, these are good, Mom.

Caroline: You still haven’t --

Elizabeth: The strapping young gentleman Shawn is your son. How old were you when he was born, 12?

Bo: Not quite.

Elizabeth: I’m glad he’s home safe and sound.

Caroline: So are we.

Elizabeth: I hadn’t realized that you had another child beside little J.T. I’m having an awful time keeping all these Brady’s straight.

Caroline: Oh, well, wait until your wedding, and then you'll see all the third cousins coming out of the woodwork.

Elizabeth: All blessed with those handsome Brady genes, I’m quite sure.

Marlena: Honey? Honey, don’t play with it. Just have something to eat, all right? A salad? Just anything.

Belle: No, Mom. I am so full. Dad made us go to the Burger Barn before we came here.

John: Hey, not just any Burger Barn. Buddy’s Burger Barn! Ha ha! Well, you said you needed 15 minutes, didn’t you?

Shawn-D: You know, it sounded good at the time, but if I would have known it was fast food instead of grandma’s favorite famous fried chicken --

Hope: Well, don’t worry about it because I’m sure there will be plenty of leftovers. There always are. John, I just wanted to thank you and Brady so much for bringing our children back to us. Thank you.

John: Want something to drink?

Shawn-D: You know, uh, this is fun and all, but we really got someplace we got to go.

Belle: Now?

Shawn-D: Problem?

Belle: Well, yeah, they went through so much trouble. We can’t just leave our own party.

Shawn-D: All right. So you won’t come with me. Is that what you're saying?

Belle: Shawn, where do you want me to go with you?

Shawn-D: I just want you to be with me, ok?

Belle: Ok, whatever, yeah.

Shawn-D: Ok.

Belle: Ok.

Shawn-D: Hey, you better say ok.

Belle: Shut up.

John: Well, you think it’s time?

Caroline: Oh, you read my mind. Yeah.

Belle: Mom, I know you'll understand.

Marlena: What, sweetie?

All: Happy Birthday to you

Marlena: Ooh!

All: Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday, dear Marlena Happy Birthday to you

Marlena: No.

[Applause]

Hope: Yay! Happy Birthday, and many, many, many more!

[All cheering]

John: Make a wish. Make a wish. Come on.

Marlena: Help me. I want to make sure I get it. Ready? 1, 2, go!

[All cheering]

Belle: Happy Birthday, Mom.

John: Ok, what'd you wish?

Marlena: Oh, I’ll get it later. I mean, I’ll tell you later! [All laughing] Change the story line what are they looking for.

Nicole: Talk, talk, talk -- that’s your problem, Austin. My father is dead. It happens. End of story. Now, about this deal, what’s there to talk about? Just do it.

Austin: Wait a minute.

Nicole: No, don’t... don't even change the subject. All right, you made some wonderful decisions while I was gone. Make one more.

Austin: But this project -- it’s your baby.

Nicole: I have other things to take care of. Marie, did you get a hold of my mother and brother?

Marie: Yes, I was just hanging up with Brandon. He’s going to meet you at your mother’s house, and they both had a lot of questions as to what this is about.

Nicole: Well, I will tell them when I get there. Please call them back and tell them I’m on my way now and not to go anywhere until I get there.

Austin: Do you have any idea what’s going on with her?

Marie: Didn’t she tell you that her father died?

Austin: Well -- [Sighs] she was acting really weird, so I thought she was just trying to shock me. So it’s -- it’s true?

Marie: Yes. I’m not sure exactly what happened, but I heard her father was shot in Puerto Rico by one of the kids from Salem High.

Austin: So it was self-defense?

Marie: I have no idea, but I’d better go make that call.

Nancy: Craig, what did the airline say?

Craig: Uh, they said that Chloe’s plane landed on time.

Nancy: Well, then, where is she?

Craig: I don’t know, sweetie.

Sami: Oh... I had no idea I was related to the famous Dr. Murphy.

Elizabeth: Famous? How?

Sami: Oh, well, I work at the hospital, in obviously a much more dull job than he has, but he’s always so nice to us and he’s definitely a pleasant distraction. I mean, not that I’m looking. I have a boyfriend, but if I didn’t --

Elizabeth: You would be wasting your time, nonetheless.

Sami: Bitch.

Marlena: I thought I was supposed to be in charge of surprises.

John: Well, I told you I was good.

Marlena: You are. Oh, baby, you are. You are good.

John: Ho ho ho ho! Sounds like my cue. Mmm...

Belle: Thank you for the party, Mom, and Happy Birthday.

John: Hmm?

Marlena: That sounds like good-bye.

John: Yeah.

Shawn-D: Well, there’s something we got to do.

Hope: But you just got home. Aren’t you tired?

Shawn-D: Yeah, but, uh, Happy Birthday, Marlena. I love you, Mom.

Hope: I love you.

Belle: I love you both and I will see you at home, ok?

Marlena: Honey? Honey?

Belle: Mimi, I’ll call you.

[Mimi laughs]

Shawn-D: Oh! Finally!

Belle: Ha ha! Shawn! Ha ha! I want you to tell me where we're going!

Shawn-D: Nowhere yet.

Bo: Hey, can I get you a cold -- no, that would be a warm one, right?

Colin: What did your father teach you?

Bo: All I know about beer I learned in the merchant marine. My pop -- well, he’s not much for passing on family traditions. Cheers. You grew up in Ireland, right?

Colin: For about a minute. Did all my schooling in England. Even spent some time in Australia.

Bo: So what does the name DiMera mean to you?

Belle: Are you ready now?

Shawn-D: Not yet. Ok, now I am.

Belle: You're not going to tell me where we're going, are you?

Shawn-D: How'd you guess? Come on. This night’s for surprises, right?

Hope: Do you know what that’s all about?

John: Yes, I do. [Chuckles] and it’s not what you think I’m thinking.

Colin: DiMera? Can’t say I know the name.

Bo: Right. Why are you lying to me?

Colin: Why'd you ask me a question if you already felt sure you knew the answer? And which you do not.

Bo: Ever since you arrived here in town, you've been avoiding me. That tells me you know something that you don’t want to tell me. Whatever happened between the Brady’s and the DiMera generations ago back in Ireland, people are still talking about to this day. Trouble is, they clam right up whenever there’s an outsider around. Let me tell you something, cuz. I am not an outsider. I’m a Brady, and this involves me and my family! I deserve to know!

Hope: John, could you take J.T. for a moment, please?

John: Oh, yeah, sure.

Hope: Thank you.

John: Hey.

Hope: Thanks.

John: Hey, buddy.

Hope: Hey, guys, this is supposed to be a party. What are you arguing about?

Bo: Where'd Shawn go?

Hope: No changing the subject, Brady.

Bo: You heard what we were talking about. Apparently it was a misunderstanding.

Colin: Apology accepted.

Grandpa: That’s the way, lads.

Bo: That was no apology. We'll finish this later.

Hope: Excuse me.

Brady: Do you have any idea where your daughter is?

Craig: Actually, no. Uh... Her plane landed a little while ago. We were expecting her by now.

Nancy: I just wish -- I just wish she had her cell phone with her.

Craig: I know.

[Brady sighs]

Craig: It’s ok.

Brady: Chloe, where are you?

Marlena: I hope you and Will are enjoying yourselves.

Sami: Well, Will’s definitely having a good time, and this is definitely the face of

someone who is enjoying herself.

Marlena: I’m sorry Austin couldn’t stay.

Sami: Oh, that’s ok, Mom. I understand. I’m not clingy and dependent anymore, and I think it’s because I know that he cares about me as much as I care about him. Mom, I... I think he’s going to ask me to marry him.

Austin: What did Nicole say to you?

Marie: Hardly anything.

Austin: I so don’t get her.

Marie: Well, that makes two of us, and we work with her every day.

Austin: See, I thought it was just a "clueless guy" thing.

Marie: Definitely not.

Austin: Wow, so she has nobody. I mean, no one that understands her.

Marie: That’s right, because she doesn’t want anyone to. Oh, Austin, I hope you don’t mind my saying this.

Austin: What?

Marie: I wouldn’t worry about Nicole. I’ve seen what she can do to people and it’s not worth it. Please don’t tell anyone I said that to you.

Austin: No, no, no. Don’t worry about me. I appreciate your honesty, though.

Marie: Your contracts came.

Austin: Great. Oh! I got to get busy. She told me to close the deal.

Marie: She did?

Austin: Yeah. I was surprised, too.

Austin: You think you're handling this, Nicole. But you're not, are you?

Nicole: Wait till you hear, Mom. You wouldn’t get rid of him, but I did... Forever.
