Episode #8297 ~ Brooke welcomes Ridge home with a night of romance and passion. Meanwhile, Liam and Hope lovingly reunite their family with the help of a very crafty Douglas.

[ Laughter, whooping ]

Liam: It's happening! The wedding is on.

Hope: And I cannot get over the fact that you made these shirts, and so fast.

Douglas: It was easy.

Liam: Budding designer right here.

Hope: You know, when i came in from checking on beth, I had a sneaking suspicion that the two of you were up to something, but I would have never guessed this.

Liam: Well, I mean, if you think about it, us getting married right here in this house with just our family, it's--kinda makes sense, right? I mean, I'm sure--

[ Chuckles ] I know you're a little blindsided. You were probably hoping for something more traditional.

Hope: I, um--I would marry you under any circumstance. And honestly, I can't think of anything more meaningful than saying vows with no one but our family. You know, our family that we fought so hard for.

Douglas: Let's do it!

[ Knocking on door ]

Ridge: Hi.

Brooke: Get in here.

[ Laughing ] Come on.

Ridge: You look amazing.

Brooke: You look pretty amazing yourself.

Ridge: I like this room. I like this room because you're in it.

Brooke: This is your room, too. This is our house, as husband and wife. Welcome home.

Wyatt: Seriously? Again?

Bill: What do you want now?

Wyatt: You're like a million miles away, again.

Bill: No, I'm just, you know, laser-focused on... my usual thoughts of continuing to conquer the world.

Wyatt: Good. Have you, uh, talked to liam about thomas and zoe's wedding yet?

Bill: Liam, liam-- oh, liam. Liam. Yeah, you know what? As a matter of fact, I did. And turns out that brooke's instincts and his were dead on about that loser thomas all along.

Brooke: You're finally here.

Ridge: Get used to it. Can we just be in this room for a month? Can we do that, please?

Brooke: [ Chuckles ] That's a lot of making up for lost time.

Ridge: You lost time because of me, because I didn't listen to you.

Brooke: No, we don't have to talk about it.

Ridge: No, we do have to talk about it. I need to apologize to you. You were right about my son from the very beginning. And I didn't listen to you. I'm sorry.

Hope: No, we don't have to have a big elaborate wedding.

Liam: Overrated!

Hope: Exactly no, we have douglas and beth.

[ Gasps ] They can be our witnesses.

Liam: Yes!

Hope: Although there is someone missing, someone pretty important.

Douglas: Who, mommy?

Hope: Um, the officiant.

Liam: Ah.

Douglas: Who's that?

Liam: Carter, basically.

Hope: Basically, it's the man or woman who leads the ceremony and officially pronounces us husband and wife.

Liam: You know... hear me out. I think I have the perfect candidate.

Douglas: Me! I can do it!

Liam: Hey, hey!

Hope: Oh, you think so?

Douglas: Will you coach me?

Liam: Oh, bro, don't even worry. You got this.

Hope: [ Laughs ] Well, then it's official. We're having a wedding tonight.

Liam: We're having a wedding tonight.

Hope: High five!

Liam: Ha, ha ha! Yes!

Hope: Can't wait to get my wedding t-shirt on. As a caricature artist,

Ridge: I thought thomas was over his obsession with hope, I really thought he was.

[ Sighs ]

Brooke: Now that all the roads to hope are permanently closed...I mean, he does see that, doesn't he?

Ridge: How didn't he see it before?

Brooke: Ridge... I know that this is difficult for you.

Ridge: No, you know what's difficult for me? It's realizing that I'm the husband who didn't listen to his wife....a wife that's a lot smarter than he is, clearly.

Brooke: Clearly.

Ridge: You don't have to agree with everything I say. Never gonna doubt you again. Promise.

Wyatt: Okay, wait, let me just--let me make sure that i got all this.

Bill: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt: [ Laughs ] So thomas thinks that hope's there to stop the wedding because she wants to marry him.

Bill: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt: So he breaks up with zoe in front of god and everyone, only to have hope turn around and say "I'm sorry, I'm just kidding, I don't want to do this"?

Bill: Yeah, well, you know, that's about the size of it.

Wyatt: [ Laughing ]

Bill: There is a little more if you want to know what it is.

Wyatt: What am I doing here? Yes, I want to know.

Bill: It was a conspiracy.

Wyatt: Okay, what? You lost me there.

Bill: Liam, steffy, zoe, douglas, and especially hope concocted a plan to take thomas down in a way that he couldn't even weasel out of.

Wyatt: Thomas is douglas's father. You said he was in on it?

Bill: Why does everybody forget that that kid is a spencer? He's got my blood running through him. He's tough. Douglas is gonna be fine. Liam and hope, they're back together and committed to making a family for douglas and beth.

Douglas: The candles look pretty.

Liam: [ Sighs ] Yeah, they do, right? So what else to you think we need?

Douglas: Just mommy.

Liam: Mommy. Good--good call. Good call. Um... but listen, hey, while it's just you and me, I wanted to ask you something. Um... is there anything about today or your dad that you'd like to say to g-get off your chest?

Douglas: Daddy was doing bad things again. We had to stop him.

Liam: Yeah. But listen, he's still your dad. And uh, and maybe...maybe you feel confused sometimes or maybe you just want to talk about it and if you do, just come to me and we'll work through it together, all right?

Douglas: Okay.

Hope: Are we ready?

Liam: Oh! Okay, here we go.

Douglas: Just a minute!

Liam: Yeah, here we go. Stay right there.

[ Music plays ] Okay. Uh...

Douglas: Okay, ready.

Liam: [ Clears throat ]

[ Chuckling ]

Hope: This is perfect. The people I love most in the world. Oh, sweetie, we're so lucky that you woke up for this.

Liam: Oh, she wouldn't dare miss it.

Douglas: Welcome to your wedding, mommy.

Beth: [ Laughs ] (Lisa) one of these tax prep services lets more people file for free.

Ridge: How does that happen? How can you be more beautiful now than when I left you?

Brooke: You're as handsome as you were the first day I met you.

Ridge: Yeah? You are pretty but you gotta get your eyes checked. I remember that day. We were kids.

Brooke: Yeah. It was the beginning of my life. The path that led to you.

Ridge: Yeah, a path with a lot of obstacles.

Brooke: Obstacles that we've gotten past, right? Because you are my destiny.

Ridge: I am? And you're mine.

[ Cell phone rings ]

Brooke: I have to get that.

Ridge: Yeah, get it. There's no rush.

Brooke: Okay.

Ridge: Could be the kids, could be important. I'm gonna be here for the rest of your life. And...

[ Ringing continues ] I'm gonna be clean, so I want to take a shower.

Brooke: Oh! Oh, good. Okay.

[ Ringing continues ]

[ Ringing continues ]

[ Button beeps ]

[ Whispers ] Bill...

Bill: Liam told me about what happened at the wedding with thomas. I'm happy for you.

Brooke: [ Sighs ] Yeah, it was great. It's quite a relief. Thank you. Thanks for caring.

Bill: Uh, brooke, I did want to talk to you about what happened between us.

Brooke: [ Sighs ] I don't want to discuss it.

[ Shower running ]

Bill: That kiss...

Brooke: I told you, not another word, okay? I've gotta go.

[ Button beeps ]

Beth: [ Babbles ]

Douglas: I think I'm supposed to greet everyone.

Hope: You're correct.

Liam: Yes.

Hope: Have you done this before?

Liam: [ Chuckles ]

Douglas: Hi, beth. Hi, mommy. Hi, liam. Ready to get married?

Hope: Ready.

Liam: Very ready. Very, very ready.

Douglas: You guys have known each other a very long time, since before I was even born. Liam, you're nice to my mommy. And she smiles so big when you're around her. I know I'm just a kid, but I can tell you guys love each other a lot.

Liam: He's not wrong.

Beth: [ Fusses ]

Hope: And we love you, douglas, and beth, too.

[ Fussing continues ]

Douglas: Do you have stuff to say to each other?

Hope: I-I think we could come up with something.

Liam: Yeah, we could come up with something. Um...I'll go. Uh...this last year, this year's been, uh, a challenge. You know, what happened in catalina, and the heartache over beth but the truth is we could've lost her forever if it weren't for this amazing young man right here.

Hope: And we will never forget that, douglas. We're so grateful for you, what you did for us as a family.

Liam: And yet, somehow we let outside forces come between us again.

Hope: On the upside, we got you out of it.

Liam: Hey.

Hope: Yeah. And now we're-- we're one big happy family.

Douglas: Yay!

Liam: Yay is right. Yay is right. You can have us both, right, douglas?

Douglas: Right. Liam and i will protect you and love you, mommy.

Hope: Ohh! My heroes. Mmm. [ Chuckles ] I want my kids to know...

Ridge: [ Sighs ] Mmm.

Brooke: [ Chuckles ] Ohh...mmm. I've dreamt about this, you know.

Ridge: Yeah?

Brooke: Being back in your arms like this.

Ridge: I'm never letting go of you. I figured something out. When I'm not with you, it's like...half of me's turned off or not working or something and I don't like it.

Brooke: I feel the same.

Ridge: We've loved each other for a very long time.

Brooke: And even when we weren't together, I never stopped loving you. I'm so grateful for you, each and every day.

Ridge: I'm sorry I made you feel alone. I failed you as a husband. I'm never gonna do that again. 'Cause life without you is... not really life at all. I love you so much.

Brooke: I love you so much. With all of my heart.

[ Whimpers quietly ]

Beth: [ Babbles ]

Douglas: Oh, that's right, beth. It's time for the vows. Who wants to go first?

Hope: Um...

Liam: Well, traditionally, the bride would, but, um, I've got some things to say.

Beth: [ Laughs ]

Liam: If you don't mind.

Hope: By all means.

Liam: Beth doesn't mind?

Hope: No.

Liam: We're all good? Okay.

Douglas: Yep.

Liam: First of all, douglas. I'm--I'm grateful to even have some part in your life. I'm not your dad, I'm not gonna replace your dad, but just know that you'll always have backup if you need it, okay?

Douglas: Awesome.

Liam: Oh, awesome. As for you...

Hope: Uh-oh.

[ Laughter ]

Liam: I love you, hope, and I am proud and honored and grateful to become your husband.

Hope: [ Chuckles ] My heart is so full right now. Got my two favorite guys. I have my precious baby girl. It's the people I love most in this world.

Beth: [ Fusses ] And you! My little miracle. There's not a day that I take for granted with you. I am so grateful to have you back home with us. And that is because of your incredibly brave big brother.

Beth: [ Fusses ]

[ Laughter ]

Hope: Yes!

Liam: Yes, exactly.

Hope: I just...I am honored and I am so privileged to be able to call myself your mother.

Douglas: I love you, mommy.

Hope: Love you too, sweetie.

[ Sighs ] And now for you.

Liam: Ooh.

Hope: Liam...you are... the best man I know. You're kind and you're patient. And you make me feel so incredibly loved. And there's never really been anyone else for me. You have my heart, forever.

Beth: [ Sings ]

Hope: [ Laughs ]

Douglas: I have vows, too.

Hope: You do?

Liam: You do?

Douglas: For beth and me.

Liam: Oh man, let's hear 'em.

Douglas: We're so happy you're our parents, and we promise to love and obey you. And eat our vegetables.

Liam: [ Laughs ]

Hope: Okay.

Liam: Okay.

Hope: I'm gonna remember that.

Liam: Can't take it back.

Douglas: Now it's time for the rings.

Hope: Oh, I don't--

Liam: Oh, no, don't you worry. I got you, girl.

Hope: Oh...okay, then.

Liam: Uh-huh. But listen, listen. Uh, I'm gonna be needing this one back very shortly.

Hope: Oh, by all means. All right.

Douglas: Now you have to say something.

Hope: Oh, right. Of course.

[ Clears throat ] With this ring, I promise to love, honor, and cherish you, to stand by your side, till death do us part.

Liam: Now there it is.

Hope: There.

Douglas: Now you, liam.

Liam: [ Gasps ] Right. Yes. Good call, good call. Hope, with this ring, I pledge my life and my heart to you. You are my everything. And it is my intention to walk through life with you hand in hand...

[ Sighs ] Till death do us part.

Douglas: By the power invested in me...

Liam: Vested.

Douglas: Vested. I now announce you...

[ Both laugh ] Husband and wife. You may kiss mommy now.

Liam: Gladly. Gladly.

Douglas: Yay! You're married!

[ Both laugh ]

Liam: Yeah, we are!

Hope: You did such a great job, too.

Liam: Yeah!

Hope: I mean, I have to say, you're a little hero. You are. I mean, our family, we-- we wouldn't be here without you. I mean, you changed our lives with those four words that you said. Do you remember what they were?

Douglas: Baby beth is alive!

[ Both laugh ]

Douglas: We're a family now, mommy, liam, baby beth, and me!

Liam: Yeah, we are.

Hope: I love you both.

Liam: I love you, too.
