Episode #7811 ~ Wyatt voices his concern that the true perpetrator is still on the loose; Steffy is hopeful that she will persuade Liam to come home.

Hope: I'm not sorry that i kissed you. Or that I said I love you. I shouldn't have waited this long to tell you exactly how i feel.

Liam: [ Sighs ] Hope... okay, the thing is -- I'm not worthy of your love.

Hope: Don't say that.

Liam: I tried to murder my own father. You do not want me dragging you down with me.

Hope: It is horrible and it is wrong and I do not condone it. But, liam, I have known you for years -- the kind, wonderful man that you have always been -- and I will always be right here by your side.

Steffy: Oh! Ugh! No, no!

Ridge: Wait! What are you --

Steffy: Dad, no! What if a client walked in? No!

Ridge: Well, they got to get past pam at the door. Why is she not out there?

Brooke: Yeah, and we all know she's like a doberman at the door.

Ridge: Yeah.

Steffy: Yeah, usually, but pam's backstage handing out her baked goods. I think she's trying to keep the celebration of your release going. Or she just wants everyone around for her baking.

Ridge: We're having a little celebration ourselves right now.

Brooke: [ Laughs ]

Steffy: Yeah, okay, I'll leave, but I just really wanted to just give you a hug and say I'm happy that you're here and: Unlike his dad, who wanted me in prison for life. He set me up.

Thomas: Thank you, pam. I'm sorry, guys, for being so late.

Sally: It was totally my fault. I couldn't figure out what to wear.

Thomas: Mm.

Wyatt: Women...

Sally: What?

Wyatt: ...Are totally worth the wait.

Katie: That's right.

Wyatt: Am I right, eric?

Eric: Yeah, you are right. Absolutely. You know what's worth the wait, are these -- do you make these by the pound, these eclairs?

Pam: They're pretty good, right?

Quinn: Did you and charlie really stay up all night baking?

Charlie: Yes, we did.

Pam: I mean, we weren't gonna get much sleep anyway. We were so excited about ridge being released from jail.

Thomas: Well, I guess we have liam to thank for changing bill's mind. Otherwise, it might not...

Katie: No, no, no. Don't -- don't even go there with that. The thought of ridge spending another day in jail for something he didn't do...

Wyatt: I'd like to think my dad regrets falsely accusing ridge.

[ Laughter ] Then again, he rarely regrets anything, so...

Sally: Something I know about firsthand.

Quinn: Oh, I think we all do.

Pam: Yeah, I mean, no offense, wyatt, but that's why bill is so hated. And why there are so many suspects.

Eric: True. But nobody here pulled the trigger. I mean, bill says it was a stranger, some unknown assailant. Does that seem as strange to anybody else here as it does to me?

Eric: Spencer says that somebody broke in, somebody he doesn't know, and shoots him. But it's not a robbery. Nothing is taken. I suppose it could have happened that way.

Katie: Well, if you're asking these questions and the police are asking them, too...

Wyatt: They're not closing this case anytime soon. They're still looking for someone who tried to kill my father.

Sally: Unfortunately, I was one of the first major suspects. I really think detective sanchez suspected that I did it.

Wyatt: Until they believed i did it.

Quinn: Then me.

Thomas: And me.

Pam: Well, let's face it -- a lot of people look guilty.

Katie: Until bill pointed the finger at ridge.

Quinn: Mm, and almost got away with it.

Ridge: Bill accused me of trying to kill him.

Steffy: Maybe he was confused. He'd just come to.

Ridge: Don't do that. Don't give him the benefit of the doubt. He knew exactly what he was doing.

Steffy: What do you think, brooke?

Brooke: Do I think ridge has every right to be upset for being falsely accused? Absolutely I do. But now that bill said that ridge didn't shoot him, I think it's time that we focus on who did.

Liam: As much as I hate what my father did to me, how do I live with what I did to him?

Hope: You had a concussion. You didn't know what you were doing.

Liam: Oh, and that excuses it? God!

Hope: No. This whole situation is tragic. But everyone has a breaking point. Your father is a vile man who hurt you terribly. But it wasn't just bill. It was steffy, too, by her own admission. They took you to this dark place, and... this whole situation is terrible and I don't condone it, not at all. But no one has to know. Not if you don't tell anyone, especially steffy. Liam, it is time you finally moved on. You can make a new life. Without your father and without steffy.

Eric: I have to say, I'm really curious where this investigation is gonna lead.

Thomas: Maybe it doesn'T. Maybe they never find out who did it.

Quinn: Oh, please, I don't think the good detective is gonna give up that easily. He was relentless in pursuing each and every one of us.

Pam: He never questioned me.

Katie: Why would he have questioned you?

Charlie: Well, pammy was, uh, off her meds at the time. She was wound a little tight.

Sally: "Wound tight?"

Pam: Charlie's just being nice. I was in pretty bad shape. Charlie actually thought that i might have done it.

Wyatt: You actually thought that pam shot my father?

Charlie: No, no, no, no. No, not really. I mean, I was just a little concerned, that's all. I mean, come on, my pammy would have never done anything like that.

Thomas: Which brings us back to the million-dollar question. Who did it?

Steffy: I can't believe hope was no-show at your party. Didn't think she would miss it. Unless...

Ridge: Unless what, honey?

Steffy: Unless she stopped by liam's on her way here.

Brooke: Well, that is possible.

Steffy: Uh, it's more than possible. She's been spending so much time with my husband lately.

Brooke: [ Scoffs ] What are you insinuating?

Steffy: I'm -- I'm not. Liam's just going through a rough time, and hope never fails to make herself available.

Brooke: She is his friend, and she's your friend, too.

Ridge: Yeah, no, they are friends. But hope still has feelings for liam, and I'm not sure if she's ever gonna do anything, but... like I cautioned you before, the more time they spend together and they're around each other, it just...

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, she says she's gonna be supportive and respect my marriage. Let's hope it stays that way.

Liam: Hope... that's who I was before. It's not -- it's not who I am now. Look at what I've done. Look at -- look at what I'm capable of. The old me, the me that you fell in love with... that guy died. He stopped existing the moment I tried to murder my father. Now, you tell me. How do I -- how do I move on from that?

Hope: Well, that's why I'm here. Liam, listen to me. I have tried to be supportive of you and steffy. I have tried to be a gentle voice in your ear, but... I can't anymore.

Liam: Hope, I -- I don't -- I don't know what to do with that.

Hope: I won't let you push me away. I'm not going to desert you when you need me the most.

[ Sighs ] Steffy may have been on her best behavior for the past few years, but that wasn't always the case. The way she used to interfere in our relationship, trapping me in the gondola, stealing you away from me, and now sleeping with your father? That is the real steffy forrester. And I hate to say it, but it's true. I didn't want to believe that. I wanted to believe that she had changed, but I can't anymore. And I realize that... she is pregnant with your child, and your child is going to be loved and your child is gonna be nurtured, and you're gonna be an amazing father to her. But I cannot let her use your child to hang onto you. She and bill have done enough damage. And I care too much about you to let it happen anymore.

Wyatt: Guys, the cops don't have much to go on. The suspect came through the front door, shot my dad in the back, and then disappeared in the middle of the night. No cameras, barely any forensics.

Thomas: It's the perfect crime.

Wyatt: Well, for my dad's sake, I hope not. Look, no matter what you guys think of him, he still deserves to know who did it. And why.

Brooke: Has hope given you a reason not to trust her?

Steffy: She did tell liam about bill's proposal before i could.

Brooke: So you think she's trying to undermine you?

Steffy: No, I don't think that.

[ Sighs ] She's just like -- there's so many things! She got liam involved with hope for the future. She's his sounding board...

Ridge: That's perfectly fine, but it can't go any further than that. You agree, right?

Brooke: Well, you've said more than once how supportive hope is of steffy's marriage.

Ridge: And she is, but there's a delicate balance. I mean, hope and liam, they have a history. Do me a favor -- when you see husband, please tell him thank you for everything he did to get me out of jail. I owe him a lot.

Steffy: Yeah. We both do.

Brooke: Are you going over there?

Steffy: Yeah, I want to go over. I want to thank him. And I'm gonna try to convince him to come home. Again. For me, for our little girl. I just want our life back.

Hope: Starting right now, I am through being nice. I am through deferring to steffy. I came back home to reclaim my clothing line, to be with my family, but if I am being honest with myself... I came back home because i realized that no matter how many continents I put between us, I still couldn't get over you.

[ Sighs ] I still loved you. And I didn't say anything when i got back, out of respect for your marriage, but... I do. And you need someone to help you. You need goodness, you need love, you need happiness, and I want to help you with that. And I understand that you will always share a bond with steffy. You share a child. But I hate to say this -- let steffy and bill be together, if that's what they want. And ultimately, I think it is. I'm sorry, I -- I'll stop talking.

Liam: No, don'T. You're right. About a lot of it. And, you know... I think maybe I do need you.

Hope: You know they'll eventually end up together. I mean, bill won't stop pursuing steffy. He won'T. And she may try to resist for a little while longer, but eventually, she'll give in.

[ Sighs ] And this whole toxic cycle will start all over again, and I can't watch that happen to you. You have to get out, liam. For your own sake, you have to end things with steffy.

Liam: I think... that you came back exactly when I needed you to.

Thomas: Dad, it's -- it's great to see you out of jail.

Ridge: Come here. It's great to be out of jail.

Sally: Pam sent us to get you. She was afraid that ridge wasn't gonna get any of her home-baked goodies, the way everyone's scarfing them down.

Brooke: Yeah, we got detained, right, sweetie?

Ridge: What are you -- um...

Thomas: Uh...

Ridge: Sorry. What -- it hasn't been easy for you, either one of you.

Thomas: No.

Brooke: I still can't believe what bill did, his lie about caroline dying.

Thomas: Neither can I. But we're done with that. It's time to focus on the future. Our future.

Ridge: What about douglas?

Thomas: I will always be there for my son, but right now, it's time for me to focus on this beautiful redhead, who i haven't seen for a while.

Brooke: Wow. Sounds like somebody has plans.

Ridge: Uh-huh.

Sally: Thomas is taking me back to new york with him.

Thomas: And when we get back, we'll be together.

Ridge: We're happy for you. Both of you.

Hope: For a long time, it was too painful. The thought of returning to L.A. And once I did, I wanted to believe that I could be your friend, respect your marriage, but...

[ Sighs ] That's impossible now, knowing what steffy and bill did to you, the heartache they brought to your life. You deserve so much better.

Liam: You're a miracle, you know? You could have any man in the world you wanted.

Hope: You're the only man i want.

[ Knocks on door ]

Liam: [ Scoffs ]

Steffy: Hi. May I come in?

Liam: Uh...

Steffy: Hope, could I have a moment alone with my husband?

Hope: We'll talk later?

Liam: Yeah. Yeah.

Steffy: So, I'm assuming you heard? My father's out of jail! And your father's out of the hospital.

Liam: Right. Yeah. Yeah.

Steffy: I just want to thank you for everything you did to set my father free. You got bill to admit that my father wasn't the shooter, and I'm really grateful to you.

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: Okay, well, it's time to get out of this place because this is really depressing. Okay, look, there was so much i wanted to say the night we were gonna have dinner. Obviously we didn't get the chance. So I'm just gonna say it now. Our baby's gonna be here, and i really want us to be a family. I know we're gonna have to work a lot to make that happen, but i really feel like it would be a lot easier for us if you just moved back in. I think it could make a huge difference. Not just for us, but.. for our little girl, liam. Please come home. I know you want to. Please come home. . .
