Episode # 7744 ~ Bill gets emotional while recounting his night with Steffy to Justin; Steffy learns the identity of the father of her unborn child.

Liam: Hey.

Steffy: Hey.

Liam: Hi.

[ Waves crashing ] Where'd you run off to? Just so you know, if all goes well, we're gonna both have to cut back on work a little bit.

Steffy: Oh, practicing your paternity leave, I see.

Liam: No, I'm just -- I don't know.

Steffy: [ Chuckles ]

Liam: I was daydreaming. I was -- maybe I'm getting a little ahead of myself, but i was -- I was imagining our little boy or girl just playing down there on the sand. Our sweet baby.

Steffy: Our baby.

Bill: Do you know?

Steffy: It's liam'S. You're not the father, bill.

Bill: What is it, justin?

Justin: Worried about you, dollar bill.

Bill: Don't be.

Justin: Yeah, but you haven't been yourself lately. Got me thinking. Then I remembered when you had me order the jet for the stella maris awhile back. You wouldn't give me a name for the flight manifest. But you gave me the passenger's passport information. I ran the number. It was steffy, your son's wife!

Bill: Damn it, justin, what are you doing digging into my personal affairs?!

Justin: Being a friend! I knew something was up!

Bill: Stay the hell out of my bus--

Justin: Liam's wife?! That was your revenge?!

Bill: No! Not at all! That had nothing to do with it!

Katie: So, what do you say? I've got plenty of room if you want to crash.

Thorne: Aren't you afraid I'll find out who your mystery guy is?

Katie: Oh, we've gotten pretty good at sneaking around. It might add a new challenge to things. We could always go to his place.

Thorne: Look, I appreciate the offer, but I don't want to impose.

Katie: You wouldn't be imposing, trust me.

Thorne: Yeah, it would be fun, but, you know, dad's, uh, he's been bugging me. He's insisted that I stay at the estate, so I'm gonna take him up on his offer. Besides, I don't think your guy would be very happy if I moved in here.

Katie: Well, we're not really exclusive. We're just enjoying each other's company.

Thorne: Wow. I like this new attitude. I mean, I liked you plenty before, but this is a confident, adventurous katie logan. It's a good look on you.

Katie: [ Laughs ] I guess I have changed a bit.

Thorne: Well, you seem very happy.

Katie: I am happy. I never thought that I would be in this position, you know, a single mom, divorced. But I'm liking it.

Thorne: You should. You got a great life.

Katie: Thanks. Yeah, it's enough for right now. I have no complaints. I'm spending time with someone that I know really well and i trust, and -- and that's okay. That's enough.

Thorne: Yeah, well, if we could all be so lucky.

Bill: Not another word.

Justin: So I'm right. Something did happen with steffy. Then tell me I'm wrong!

Bill: I'm telling you, justin, don't push me on this!

Justin: Why? Because I'm right?

Bill: I'm not talking about it! Get the hell out of my office!

Justin: You were upset with liam because of all of that blackmail, for ruining your skyscraper! You're retaliating!

Bill: No! That had nothing to do with it.

Justin: What? What is it, then? What is it?! Why would you get caught up with steffy?! Man.

Liam: There's so much I can't wait to do with you and the baby, you know? But you -- you don't get any funny ideas, kiddo. You just -- you stay in there and get healthy and strong, and...we'll be here when you're ready. How are you feeling?

Steffy: I'm the happiest I've ever been, knowing that I'm carrying your baby.

Katie: It is kind of odd not being someone's girlfriend or someone's wife, but, um, I'm liking it.

Thorne: [ Chuckles ] Well, you finally threw out all those rules and, uh, doing what makes you happy.

Katie: Well, it took me a minute to get used to, I will admit. But I don't have any regrets. I really don'T. My marriage to bill, a lot of it was -- was really wonderful. And I did -- I loved being his wife, and I wouldn't have my son without him. But some things just don't work out.

Thorne: And, um, since bill?

Katie: Well, [Chuckles] The most recent divorce from bill, um, I guess I've just been trying to settle into my new normal. You know, I'm just trying to figure out who I am and not obligate myself to be who everyone thinks I should be. So what about you, thorne, on the love front?

Thorne: I haven't been very successful at that lately.

Katie: Oh, come on. You can't fool me. Are you saying you can't get a date?

Thorne: Well, it's true. Just ask your sister. I've been striking out left and right.

Katie: [ Laughs ] I don't believe that for a second. I mean, you have got to be one of the most sought-after, eligible, handsome bachelors in all of los angeles and possibly even the world.

[ Laughs ]

Justin: God. Okay, so you were planning to go away with steffy, a trip you canceled at the last minute. Why?

Bill: Because liam and steffy renewed their vows.

Justin: So this was serious? You were planning on making a life with steffy?

Bill: No one's supposed to know about this except steffy and myself.

Justin: Come on, bill. I know everything there is to know about you, all your demons, all your secrets, so don't get shy with me now. How long has this been going on?

Bill: It was one night. One night that never should have happened.

Justin: Man, I wasn't expecting this today.

[ Sighs ]

Bill: Steffy was upset. She found out that liam and sally had -- had made out. She thought their marriage was over, and so did I.

Justin: Yeah, but it wasn'T.

Bill: You want to know the real kicker?

Justin: Please don't tell me it gets any worse.

Bill: Steffy's pregnant.

Justin: Bill. Is this baby yours?

Bill: [ Sighs ]

Steffy: So what were you thinking about when I walked up to you before? It seemed like you were deep in thought.

Liam: Yeah, I don't know. I guess I was just having a moment, thinking about how fortunate I am to have this life. And maybe it's -- you know, maybe it's just being out here in nature and the coast, the fresh air, and...and the fact that...we created life. And I'm gonna be a father, and I'm just -- I'm overwhelmed with gratitude for everything that we have and everything we've been through.

Steffy: We've had so many amazing memories, and we're gonna have an even more amazing future.

Liam: Yeah.

[ Both chuckle ]

Thorne: I've never been good at dating. You're gonna have to give me some tips.

Katie: Oh, come on. Thorne forrester, mr. Ladies man. I mean, this -- this modesty is very charming, but I'm sure that there is a trail of broken hearts across paris right now.

Thorne: To be honest, completely honest, I only had about three or four dates in the last year.

Katie: That's pathetic.

[ Both laugh ] But -- but it must be because you were so busy, uh, working on those fabulous designs.

Thorne: Let's go with that. It'll make me feel better.

Katie: Okay. This whole thing is kind of new to me, anyway. You know, I never really dated much when I was younger, and I'm not sure that you can call what I'm doing now "dating."

Thorne: You mean the situation with the, uh, mystery man?

Katie: Not very many people know about us. And we're trying to keep it to ourselves, so on that note, I am going to stop talking about it because I've been kind of rambling on.

Thorne: No, I appreciate your rambling. I do. And I appreciate your offer to stay here.

Katie: Even though you're not gonna take me up on it?

Thorne: You're a good friend. I've always had enormous respect for you. Now even more so.

Justin: So, is steffy having your child?

Bill: When I heard she was pregnant, I had the same thought. So did steffy. Even with all the challenges and complications that being the father of her baby would present, I would still embrace it. I would love steffy and the baby, honor them... marry her if she'd have me. I just kept thinking about liam. I would lose my son.

Justin: This doesn't seem like a one-night stand. It's more than that, bill. You're in love with her, man.

Bill: Brooke had just walked out on our marriage. She didn't stand by me for a minute. I was in pain. Steffy was in pain. And we have all that undeniable history and something powerful. It's always been there, and all those feelings just came to the surface. We wanted each other. We -- we needed each other. Liam.

Justin: He doesn't know, does he?

Bill: No. And he's never going to know.

Justin: What about the child, bill? You still haven't told me. Are you the father?

Steffy: This is all happening because of you.

Liam: I think you deserve most of the credit.

Steffy: Oh, no, no, it was your idea to renew our vows and focus on our future.

Liam: Ah.

Steffy: I didn't know if i could back then, but... now I can.

Liam: Because of the baby?

Steffy: We don't have to worry anymore. You're gonna be the best father. And I hope our child is exactly like you. Compassionate, loving, thoughtful.

Liam: Smart, handsome.

Steffy: Oh, yeah. Witty. Oh, yeah, witty and devoted.

Liam: [ Laughs ]

Steffy: I love you. And I can't imagine my life without you.

Thorne: Well, this has been fun catching up.

Katie: Well, you're living next door, so don't be a stranger.

Thorne: Yeah, but I should probably get going in case your, uh, mystery guy comes back. I'm sure you want to get back into that little sexy number of yours.

Katie: Yeah, right. I'm on it.

Thorne: I'm glad you're happy.

Katie: Oh, thank you. Me, too. Hey, I guess it's working out well for me because this is the first person I've been with who didn't have an eye for my sister.

Thorne: Well, I guess that counts me out for you, then.

Katie: Yeah, I guess it does. So that means it's safe if you want to move in.

Thorne: Ah. Hmm.

Katie: Brooke is such a lucky woman. She has both forrester men still interested. I guess that goes to show you that, you know, once bitten by the sexy brooke logan, you're hooked for life.

[ Chuckles ] Right?

Thorne: I guess.

Katie: [ Laughs ]

Bill: There was a paternity test.

Justin: And?

Bill: It was conclusive.

Justin: Thank god, man. I'm sorry, dollar bill, but that would not have been good. You and liam, you just made up. He and steffy are married. Everything is the way it should be.

Bill: And I want liam to be happy. He deserves to be a father.

Justin: You're really hurting over this.

Bill: Liam would have hated me, never forgiven me. But I would have had a life with steffy.

Justin: But is it worth sacrificing your relationship with your son?

Bill: Steffy's the only woman who really understands me. The good, the bad, all of it. We understand each other. But it will never be. They have a child on the way. Liam can never know anything about steffy and me. Not any of it.
