Episode # 7654 ~ Brooke questions Eric's decision to help Sheila; Katie and Wyatt's relationship advances to the next level.

Brooke: Sheila really shouldn't be here, eric.

Eric: Sheila needs to recover.

Brooke: If she's that bad, she should be in a hospital.

Eric: James says the treatment will be just the same. Besides, that would just complicate things.

Brooke: [ Scoffs ] What could be more complicated than having sheila carter bedridden in your own home?

Sheila: Beatrice, I'm not avoiding you.

Beatrice: Well, sheila, you've cancelled our last few sittings.

Sheila: I'm sorry about that. I've just been busy. Trust me, you're gonna get paid.

Beatrice: You still want the portrait, right?

Sheila: Yes. Yes, I'm trying to figure out where I'm gonna put that.

[ Phone beeps ] Hey, beatrice, I have another phone call coming in, so I'll be in touch, all right? Hello?

James: I can't do this.

Sheila: You just did fine, james. Eric's letting me stay.

James: Because I lied to him about your condition.

Sheila: And you damn well better keep lying. Because if you don't, I'm going to expose you. Do you understand? I'll go to the medical board. I'll tell them about your addiction to pain meds, all the prescriptions you've written for yourself. You'll be disgraced and your license will be revoked. Do you hear me, james?

[ Phone clicks ] James?

Eric: We were just up here a few minutes ago...

Brooke: I just want to see for myself.

Eric: Okay. All right. Sure, sure.

[ Knocks on door ] Sheila? Sheila, are you okay? Well, she's asleep.

Brooke: Or is she?

Liam: I mean, you -- you don't think this is messed up, thomas and sally both thinking caroline is dying? I mean, that -- that is the only reason he's in new york. You get that, right? Like, if my dad didn't come up with this ridiculous story, it's not like thomas --

Steffy: It shouldn't have taken a story for thomas to spend time with his son. He's a good father, and he's bonding with caroline and douglas. However that happens, it can't be a bad thing. Lying doesn't make me feel good, either, but seeing thomas be with his son does. Let's just give them a little more time.

Steffy: I love the way you care about people. It's inspiring, and it makes me want to do the right thing, like you always do.

Liam: Yeah, not always.

Steffy: Okay, we may not agree about what this is doing to sally or what your father has to gain, but I have to think about thomas, caroline, and douglas.

Liam: [ Sighs ] I know. No, I know. I know that.

Steffy: It's important. And I don't want to be at odds with you because of your father's lie.

Katie: I'm sorry, but what is this? Are you planning on getting work done?

Wyatt: My truck is in the shop, so I had to take a car here.

Katie: Mm.

Wyatt: Dinner, huh?

Katie: Yep.

Wyatt: Just us?

Katie: Yep. Just us.

Wyatt: All night.

Katie: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt: Hm. That's interesting. What are we having?

Katie: Uh, it's a surprise. New recipe.

Wyatt: Oh, that is -- that's very, very interesting.

Brooke: I -- I can't believe you're letting sheila stay in your house like this!

Eric: I realize it's a risk, but it's one I'm willing to take.

Brooke: [ Sighs ] Sheila.

Sheila: [ Thinking ] Brooke's here -- this isn't good.

Brooke: Sheila, open your eyes.

Sheila: I'll keep pretending to sleep, she'll go away. She may hate me, but I'm better for eric than quinn.

Brooke: I'm not leaving here till you talk to me.

Sheila: Brooke?

Brooke: [ Scoffs ] I'm here with eric, and i understand that you bumped your head and you need to rest, but you can't do that here.

Sheila: [ Sighs ] I'm sorry, what?

Eric: Brooke, two doctors have examined sheila. They both say she's not in any danger.

Brooke: Okay, fine. Well, then she doesn't need to stay here. So we're gonna get you up and get you moving.

Sheila: Eric?

Eric: Take it easy, sheila. Take it easy.

Brooke: Wait. You go take care of quinn, and I will handle this. You can't be here, sheila. I'm not gonna let you put eric in this position. You have to leave.

Steffy: Thomas' latest post. It's a picnic in central park with douglas and caroline, and then they went to the zoo.

Liam: Yeah. Sounds like the kind of thing you'd do with a dying person.

Steffy: They're happy. I know bill's plan is ruthless and greedy, but it's working.

Liam: Yeah. It is. It's working for everyone but sally, but it is.

Steffy: [ Sighs ]

[ Cellphone chimes ]

[ Scoffs ] Speaking of people that need to go...

Liam: Why? What is it?

Steffy: It's quinn. Sheila's still in L.A. She's staying at my grandfather'S.

[ Water running ]

Wyatt: Hey, do you need any help in there?

Katie: No, no! All good!

Wyatt: Okay, good, 'cause i am starving.

Katie: I might have told a little white lie.

Wyatt: Okay.

Katie: I didn't actually make anything for dinner, so we'll have to order out.

Wyatt: Uh...

[ Laughs ] Who needs food? Uh, what -- what is this?

Katie: You don't like it?

Wyatt: No. No, that's not --

Katie: Because I thought that, like -- I mean, I don't know what I thought...

Wyatt: Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Just hold on a second. I just -- it's a little unexpected, that's all.

Katie: [ Sighs ] Great.

Wyatt: Come on. I -- I love how unpredictable you're being right now.

Katie: I'm being unpredictable?

Wyatt: Yeah. I mean, you might not describe you that way, but... you don't see what I see. A gorgeous... talented... driven woman...

Katie: [ Chuckles ]

Wyatt: ...Who looks incredibly sexy right now.

[ Both laugh ]

Brooke: Come on! Let's go, sheila! We're moving you, and you're going to recuperate somewhere else.

Sheila: You -- you want me to leave your house? I can't stay here?

Eric: Look, james is getting something for the pain. Let's wait for him.

Brooke: No, that's all right. I'll let him know where she is. Look, you're doing fine! She's fine, eric.

Sheila: [ Thinking ] Want to bet? Eric...

Eric: Come on... sheila! Oh, sheila! All right, all right. All right. Okay, it's too soon. Too soon. Let's get you up. Here.

Sheila: Okay.

Eric: Okay, okay. Come on. All right. Get in this bed now.

Sheila: Okay.

[ Groans ] Thank you.

Eric: Now, you just try to relax, all right?

Sheila: Okay.

Eric: She needs to rest.

Sheila: You know, if you don't want me to stay here, i can go.

Eric: No, no, no. You're not going anywhere.

[ Cellphone chimes ] Oh, it's james at the front gate.

Brooke: Get james to examine her again. He'll be able to determine exactly what's going on with her.

Liam: Wait, sheila's at the house?

Steffy: She shouldn't be near my grandfather! Quinn was dangerous, but sheila is way worse.

Brooke: Why don't you sit up and talk to me, sheila? We're alone. Eric's downstairs getting james. Just for the record, I don't buy it. I've known you way too long, and this better not be one of your stupid little stunts. I may not care about quinn, but I do care about eric. He's been in my life for decades, and I will protect him.

[ Knocks on door ] James.

James: Brooke. It's good to see you. It's been a while.

Brooke: So good to see you, too. Thanks for being here. Where's eric?

James: He's with quinn. He told me sheila took another spill.

Brooke: Oh! I was helping her to the door, and she went limp. You examined her this morning, correct?

James: Yes.

Brooke: And she really does have a concussion? Or do you think maybe she's just...faking?

James: What, you don't believe that she's injured?

Brooke: Well, if it was anybody else but her, maybe i would believe it, but you and i both know what she's capable of. I need to know the truth, james.

James: This is a serious, complicated situation. In a case like this, we have to be extremely cautious.

Katie: [ Panting ]

Wyatt: [ Grunts ]

Katie: [ Giggles ] Mm.

Wyatt: Well, well, well.

Katie: Mm. Well, well, well.

Wyatt: [ Sighs ] I got a question for you.

Katie: Mm-hmm.

Wyatt: Do you... do you always wear that sexy getup under your clothes?

Katie: Well, I guess you're just gonna have to investigate more often.

Wyatt: Oh, I -- yeah. I guess so, yeah. You know, for once, I'm actually -- I'm all right with your planning ahead.

Katie: I bet you are.

Wyatt: Yeah, I am.

Katie: This is kind of a big step for me.

Wyatt: Okay. Yeah. I mean, it is for me, too.

Katie: I gave my heart away before, and I pretty much got it stomped on.

Wyatt: Right.

Katie: And I used to think that I could trust my feelings, but now I'm not so sure.

Wyatt: If there's one thing you can be sure of, all right, it's my feelings. All right? I've been through the same things you have, I've asked all the same questions you're asking. Wondering and worried about everything you're wondering and worried about. But not with us. After everything we've been through, just being in this moment... it's good. I have no doubt in my mind that this is our time now.

Liam: Do you want to go over there? Check on eric?

Steffy: I just want to be able to enjoy this alone time with my husband.

Liam: Can I say something?

Steffy: [ Sighs ]

Liam: I know how much family means to you. Sometimes they frustrate you and they make decisions you don't understand and they push you to your limit, but when you say that you would do anything for them... I know you mean that because that's -- that's kind of what you do. You fight for the things you believe in and the people you love, and... I'm just saying, I'm -- I'm very grateful to be on that list.

James: How are you feeling, sheila?

Sheila: I just -- I don't feel good. My head hurts more.

James: Brooke, would you turn down the lights as you leave, please?

Brooke: I'd like to stay while you examine her.

Sheila: [ Thinking ] Say no, james. Get her out of here.

James: Her pulse is strong. She's not in distress. Follow this pen with your eyes, please. I'm gonna shine the light in your eyes.

Brooke: Is that normal?

James: Yes, well, her pupils are equal, but they're reacting slowly.

Brooke: I just need to know if she can be moved. I don't think it's appropriate that she's here, and I think you would agree.

James: The fall didn't make anything worse. It seems her condition is improving.

Sheila: No! No! I'm not getting better. What are you doing?

Brooke: So she's recovering?

James: Slowly.

Sheila: I swear, if you ruin this for me, you will regret it.

James: Well, as for moving her, I wouldn'T. Of course, if you want me to get an ambulance, I'll take her to the hospital, but, uh... eric didn't want that in case there was some potential publicity. I think she should rest here for a few days, and if things go well, then I won't have to come back.

Brooke: What are you doing? Aren't you gonna check her some more or ask some kind of questions, or...?

James: No, I just -- I think we've taxed her enough.

Brooke: James, what is going on here? I need to know if she is hurt. Or is she up to her same old tricks, the manipulations, to try to get back in eric's good graces, to stay here longer? Are you helping her? Are you protecting her for some reason? Is that what's going on? You have to tell me!

Sheila: Don't do it, james.

Brooke: Answer me, james! I want the truth!
