Episode # 7537 ~ Bill takes Brooke to a special location to prove to her just how much he loves her; Ridge and Quinn express their feelings toward each other and discuss the next step in their relationship.
Provided By Suzanne
Quinn: It won't happen again.
Ridge: It won't. It's not happening now, right? We're here alone. You don't feel in any kind of danger, do you?
Quinn: We're not trapped in here.
Ridge: Getting stuck in that powder room was an accident.
Quinn: But that kiss wasn't. It was reckless and impulsive. What if ivy had been outside the door? We got her to believe that that other kiss meant nothing, but she's gonna be watching us. [Sighs] We can't take any more chances. Thank God no one else knows what's been going on.
Charlie: I was standing right there, Pammy. I saw the whole thing. Quinn wiped ridge's mouth with this napkin. We know that. This napkin has lipstick on it. The question is, was the lipstick there before she wiped his mouth or not?!
Pam: It had to have been.
Charlie: Oh, you think?
Pam: Yes! Because I don't want to think what you're thinking, Charlie. Ridge and Quinn having an affair? No. No! Ridge would never betray Brooke like that. And Quinn says she loves Eric. She wouldn't get involved with his son!
Brooke: So you really like your gift?
Bill: You kidding me? You got me a hot air balloon that represents our very special time in aspen. And cash represents, uh, me. It's perfect.
Brooke: I had to do something. I couldn't just let the day go by.
Bill: There's nobody else I'd rather be spending it with.
Brooke: You are going to spend time with Steffy and Liam later, aren't you?
Bill: You still worried I'm going to be lonely?
Brooke: I just want to make sure they keep an eye on you.
Bill: Oh, yeah, 'cause, I mean, you know, might be a wild time.
Brooke: [Laughs]
Bill: All that cash burning a hole in my pocket. Yeah. You don't know what might happen.
Brooke: Still, I-I didn't know if I should come by, I mean, after the other day in the office.
Bill: Well, I'm glad you did. Means a lot. You obviously lost your senses agreeing to marry Forrester, but I'm glad to see that at least your memory's intact.
Brooke: I haven't forgotten anything. Your birthday or anything else that we shared. Also how much you care about me. That means a lot, too.
Quinn: We need to focus on work.
Ridge: Yes. More collaboration.
Quinn: You focus on your work. I'll focus on mine.
Ridge: That seems like a step backwards.
Quinn: I need to finish this piece. I can't follow up with Steffy because she's too busy working on her wedding.
Ridge: Maybe I can help.
Quinn: Thank you.
Ridge: Hey, hey, what are you doing?
Quinn: I -- [Sighs]
Ridge: How much coffee have you had?
Quinn: Not nearly enough. I barely slept last night.
Ridge: It's gonna be okay. Don't be stressed. Nothing to worry about. Nobody knows.
Pam: You are out of your mind, Charlie. If you think for one minute that those two could --
Charlie: They could be right now!
Pam: Oh!
Charlie: They're alone in there, you know.
Pam: You need to stop. All those spy novels you've been reading are giving you crazy ideas!
Charlie: Well, le-- oh, uh, Eric. Hey, Pammy, look, it's Eric. Hi. What are you doing here?
Pam: Hey, Eric.
Eric: I'm on my way home. I thought I'd stop in, see my wife. Do you know where she is?
Charlie: Why? Do you think she's stuck in the bathroom with ridge again?
Eric: [Laughs] Well, that's not likely, is it? Not with you around.
Charlie: [Chuckles]
Eric: I appreciate you fixing that door. Thank you.
Charlie: Sure. Yeah.
Pam: That's my charliekins. Always eager to help.
Eric: That stuck powder room door may not have been such a bad thing. You know, every time Quinn and ridge are forced to spend time together, they end up getting along better.
Pam: Right.
Charlie: [Chuckles] So, uh, you noticed it, too?
Pam: Just how well they're getting along at work, it's really amazing.
Eric: I'm not really that surprised. They're both dedicated professionals and talented designers. They have a lot more in common than I think anybody knows.
Pam: Yeah.
[Cell phone whistles]
Brooke: Look, if you need to get back to work, I can --
Bill: No, no, no. It's just Liam confirming for tonight.
Brooke: Good. So Liam and Steffy are coming over for your birthday.
Bill: Wouldn't take no for an answer.
Brooke: So you have other plans?
Bill: Look, uh, I love my boys. I enjoy spending time with them. But there are other ways I would like to be spending this evening.
Brooke: I hear a vegan birthday cake is really, really tasty.
Bill: No cakes. No cakes. No cakes of any kind.
Brooke: So where are you gonna put the candles?
Bill: No candles, no singing. We will toast to my, uh, good health and another successful year for Spencer, and that's it.
Brooke: That doesn't sound very festive.
Bill: It's as festive as I want to get.
Brooke: What about the presents?
Bill: I already got my present.
Brooke: Well, you sure you don't want anything else?
Bill: I wouldn't say that. There is something you could do for me, though.
Brooke: Okay.
Bill: Come with me.
Brooke: Right now?
Bill: Right now.
Brooke: Where?
Bill: You'll see.
Eric: It's so nice for me to be able to come in here and not have to worry about anything.
Pam: [Chuckles]
Eric: Uh, even my waist line. May I have one of these?
Pam: Oh, are you kidding? Of course, Eric.
Eric: Oh, look at this. Oh, yeah.
Pam: Sorry it's not a corner piece, but...
Eric: It's good.
Pam: Good?
Eric: Oh, I need -- need a napkin.
Charlie: Oh, no, not -- not that one.
Pam: Oh, yeah, just not that one 'cause it's got lipstick all over it. Here. Here you go.
Eric: That's kind of a naughty shade of red, isn't it, Pam?
Pam: Oh. [Laughs]
Eric: Listen, I'm not against a little office intrigue, especially around here.
Charlie: Oh, so you think there's, uh, something going on?
Pam: [Laughs] No, no, no.
Eric: I didn't come in here to bust anybody. I just came in to surprise my wife, that's all.
Pam: Quinn's not expecting you?
Eric: No. I didn't know I'd be done so quickly. I had a quick nine holes of golf with -- with Julius, and here I am.
Quinn: This is not me. It's the old Quinn. I don't want that anymore.
Ridge: I don't want that, either. I've had enough chaos in my life. But, you know, there was a time when I thrived on it.
Quinn: Oh, I know. I heard the stories.
Ridge: What stories?
Quinn: About you, back in the day. Ridge Forrester, the playboy. Is it true that you were caught in bed with someone else the night before your wedding?
Ridge: Are you afraid it's gonna happen to you?
Quinn: No. I don't want to sleep with you, ridge.
Ridge: You don't? Of course you don't.
Quinn: Of course I don't. And neither do you. That's -- that's not what this is about. I mean, if -- if anything, we're attracted to the danger, nothing else.
Ridge: Just to be clear, part of me still hates you.
Quinn: I know the feeling. You could ruin my life if you wanted to.
Ridge: Not without ruining my own life.
Quinn: [Sighs] That's what's so crazy about all this. [Sighs] And that's why I'm so happy that we can be honest with each other.
Ridge: Makes me happy, too. Maybe we'll try something else. Maybe we'll try being friends.
Quinn: Friends?
Ridge: You know the concept. You call someone when they're in need --
Quinn: Vaguely. I vaguely know friends. Yeah, we could be friends. Shake on it.
Eric: What's going on here?
[Birds chirping]
Pam: I am throwing that napkin away.
Charlie: You can't. It's evidence.
Pam: What you are suggesting is absurd, Charlie! Ridge would never betray his father like that.
Charlie: Oh, really? Really? You know what I heard?
Pam: They have worked so hard to rebuild their trust. Ridge wouldn't just throw that away.
Charlie: [Sighs]
Pam: Do you realize how horrifying that would be, how that would rock the whole family if it were true?
Charlie: Well, I hope it's not. But sometimes, you know, hope doesn't win horseshoes, darling. I just don't want Eric to get hurt. I mean, he's the nicest guy ever. I mean, even nicer than me. And he's so proud of ridge and Quinn being, you know, all getting along, and... but, you know, sometimes there are none so blind as those who will not see.
Eric: Did I walk in on something?
Ridge: Yes, you did. Quinn and I were shaking hands.
Eric: I saw that.
Ridge: On an agreement we made.
Eric: An agreement? On what?
Ridge: On us to do what's best for the company and for the family and leave the past in the past.
Eric: Is that so?
Quinn: Yes, it is.
Eric: I'm glad to hear it.
Quinn: [Chuckles] Well, it's a good agreement. We just, um, we just need to follow through.
Eric: I'm sure you will.
Quinn: Hmm.
Eric: I trust the two of you to -- to lead this company into the future for many years.
Quinn: You can trust us, Eric.
Eric: I'm very impressed, you know, with how you've been able to put your differences aside, decide to work together. I didn't think you'd be able to turn it around this fast.
Ridge: It's hard to ignore what's right in front of you.
Quinn: Hard as we tried.
Ridge: And it's better this way.
Eric: I'm glad you see that. Ridge, I told you before. I can't wait for you to see the same things in my wife that I do.
Brooke: [Sighs] What are we doing here?
Bill: Just look.
Brooke: Oh! It's beautiful.
Bill: Awe-inspiring. All of los Angeles spread out below us. This is my accomplishment. There was a point in my life where this building and everything it represents -- wealth, power -- it was my greatest achievement. And it meant everything to me. Until you.
Eric: I'm gonna go.
Quinn: Oh, you're not staying?
Eric: I have some wonderful designs waiting for me at home. Don't stay too late. This is exactly why I sent you to san Francisco. It's a real joy to see the two of you working together.
Charlie: Can you hear anything?
Eric: [Sighs] Can't tell you how nice it is to be able to pop in once in awhile. I get so much work done at home.
Pam: [Chuckles] So, everything good?
Eric: Yes, wonderful. Charlie, thank you again for fixing that door at the house.
Charlie: Yeah.
Eric: I appreciate it so much.
Charlie: [Chuckles]
Eric: Ridge and Quinn can be the last people ever to get trapped in that room.
Charlie: Yeah, well, anything for you, pal. Uh, Mr. Forr-- sir. [Clears throat]
Eric: Bye.
Pam: Bye. Charlie?
Charlie: Everything is not okay, pam.
Pam: Charlie! Look, I know you mean well that you're looking out for Eric, but just think about this for one minute. Why would ridge kiss Quinn? It doesn't make any sense. His father would never speak to him again. That would be the end of their relationship. And ridge would lose his place in this family and in the company. Not to mention the fact he loves Brooke! They're about to get married in Australia!
Charlie: But you weren't there. I mean, the way Quinn wiped his mouth was...
Pam: I'm not questioning your instincts, Charlie. I'm not. And believe me, I didn't trust her either for the longest time. But we're talking about ridge.
Charlie: [Sighs] Pammy. You're probably right.
Pam: I know I am.
Charlie: God, I hope so.
Quinn: [Sighs] We are playing with fire. It has to stop.
Ridge: It has stopped.
Quinn: We've said that before!
Ridge: It's different now. We're friends.
Quinn: No. Just friends. All that other stuff, all the chaos is over.
Ridge: Yes. It's over, and I'm looking forward to working with you.
Quinn: Ridge, I don't want to have an affair.
Ridge: I don't want that, either.
Quinn: I always do this. I make something amazing, and then I find a way to knock it down and stomp it to pieces.
Ridge: There is a thrill in that, isn't there?
Quinn: No. It's destructive. We're acting like teenagers. It's ridiculous. It's -- it's beyond ridiculous. We're adults. We need to work together. We can't --
Ridge: Hey, hey, hey, hey. Shhh. Nothing to worry about anymore.
Quinn: You don't feel anything?
Ridge: Mnh-mnh.
Quinn: Good.
Ridge: No, that's not true. I love Brooke, and I feel awful about what we're doing to my dad behind his back. This can't happen again.
Quinn: [Sighs]
Ridge: And no one will ever know.
Bill: I built this empire for myself and, as it turned out, for my children. This is my legacy. But it's not my life, not anymore. I used to come up here, top of the mountain, and I would reflect on everything I strived for and everything that I achieved. And I thought I had it all. I've always reached for the stars. But this will be my greatest reach. I'm going to give you something. Just tuck it away. But I want you to have it. I don't want it anymore.
Brooke: No, don't take it off.
Bill: This sword... this sword represents me, my power. You'll need that if you're going to restart a life with Forrester.
Brooke: You don't have to do this.
Bill: This necklace is an extension of who I am. Never give up. Never give in. Fight the good fight and be the last man standing. Be the very best that I could be. Well, I was at my best when I was with you. I have my sons, I have my work, I have my company, and I'm proud of them. But without you, I won't have achieved my highest goal. So every day I will look in the mirror. This will be gone, and it will be a reminder of the thing I love most in the world... and couldn't have.
[Indistinct conversation] This necklace has been my talisman, and there's power in it. And that's why I want you to have it. Please take it, Brooke.
Brooke: Bill.
Bill: I will love you forever and a day.
