Episode # 7495 ~ Eric tempts Steffy into buying his offer by putting a dollar amount on her future; Brooke gives Ridge a perfect opportunity to get Quinn out of their lives for good.

Provided By Suzanne

Liam: Why couldn't I keep my temper?

Ridge: With Quinn, who can?

Liam: I mean, she told me -- she told me straight-up that she would be enlisting Wyatt and your dad to maneuver Steffy away from me.

Ridge: You're gonna have to be patient.

Liam: And your dad, who used to be in my corner, who used to be a friend, clearly just wasn't hearing me when I tried to give him the uncensored story of Quinn fuller.

Ridge: My dad doesn't hear anything if he doesn't want to hear it. You should know that by now.

Liam: I know. I know that. But then I just kept repeating myself and repeating myself until he threw me out of his house.

Ridge: Well, don't worry about that. My dad doesn't stay mad for long. Except with me.

Eric: Nice job on the fragrances, Wyatt.

Wyatt: [Clears throat] Thank you. Thank the chemists. All I did was be picky about it. Which, I think is one of my best qualities because that's how I ended up with you.

Quinn: You know, Eric told me that when your mother moved out, she put some of your old stuff away, stored it in case you ever wanted it again. You know, it's up in the attic.

Steffy: Oh, yeah. I had forgotten that she did that.

Quinn: Yeah, we can go up there and check it out if you want. I mean, we have so many empty rooms. You could take your pick.

Eric: This could have been your house all along. I mean, your father was never one to stay in one place very long. But you don't have to let his restlessness become what's normal for you. You know, this house could skip a generation. I'll bequeath it to you. I'm not gonna split it up and divvy it up with a bunch of people. All you have to do is commit to it now. Move in with us.

R.J.: What's the onion for?

Brooke: To make you cry.

R.J.: You never put onions in the sauce.

Brooke: I mince them so you don't see them.

R.J.: Oh, well, uh, I'm gonna have to call the authorities on that one.

Brooke: Woe is me.

R.J.: You know, I could forgive you, if, a, I can't see them or taste them.

Brooke: You never have.

R.J.: And, b, you marry dad.

Brooke: Well, now, that's not up to just me, is it?

Liam: [Sighs] So Steffy is not back from her meeting. Pam says it could go late.

Ridge: What meeting?

Liam: What meeting? At your dad's. With Quinn and Wyatt. About the whole media project. Basically, they're turning Steffy into a show horse, another red-carpet set of white teeth and a tight little dress slit up to her ribs.

Ridge: Well, Wyatt knows what sells to the masses.

Liam: Yeah, Steffy better not be what you guys are selling here.

Ridge: Mnh-mnh. Vanity, Liam. Celebrating vanity. First Quinn, now Steffy. Made her C.E.O., and now her picture's all over the internet. God knows what they're gonna come up with next.

Wyatt: You are gonna be an even bigger star. Everybody is gonna know your name.

Steffy: But is that something that I really want?

Quinn: Well, you'll have security, of course.

Eric: There's no going back now. With all your millions of followers. Solo trips to the grocery store are sort of a thing of the past now. But, um, there are trade-offs in this life, you know?

Wyatt: That's a pretty painless one. I mean, when was the last time you had a solo trip to the grocery store, right?

Quinn: Well, you never have to be alone again.

Wyatt: You never have to live alone, either.

Eric: Everything you need is here.

Brooke: Oh, I shouldn't have said anything.

R.J.: But you did. Dad won't marry you until someone goes away.

Brooke: [Sighs] Until a certain someone is out of our lives.

R.J.: What's the difference?

Brooke: That's what your father said.

R.J.: Well, guess that's a good thing. I don't see bill leaving his high-rise or mansion any time soon.

Brooke: Honey, "a certain person" is not bill.

R.J.: Who does dad hate more than bill?

Brooke: [Sighs] This is not high school. It's not about hating her.

R.J.: Her?

Brooke: Or him.

R.J.: Quinn?

Brooke: [Sighs]

R.J.: She's not going anywhere. I mean, she's gonna outlive granddad and make his mansion a Goth hangout.

Brooke: Don't joke!

R.J.: I'm serious! It's statistics! Women outlive men. Especially their sugar daddies. That's kind of the point.

Brooke: Oh, honey, that's not very nice.

R.J.: It's worse to say you're not getting married till someone else gets divorced.

Brooke: You don't know what Quinn's put our family through. We've tried to shield you from that.

R.J.: Listen, I get it, okay? I understand. If my dad was married to someone like that, I'd want to untie the knot, too. But I just don't see how he thinks this is gonna happen with Quinn.

Brooke: Your father's short on specifics, but he is very motivated.

Liam: All those months, holding still, hoping she'd come back to me, not knowing how or when...

Ridge: You haven't lost her yet, Liam.

Liam: I don't like the "yet" part.

Ridge: I'm gonna get to Quinn, and I'm gonna make sure that my dad sees it. For his own good. Even if he end up hating me.

Liam: I mean, that's the thing -- you succeed, you're not gonna be C.E.O. and what if -- what if this is the end of your relationship...

Ridge: What if? What if? I don't want to do any of this, but I don't really have a choice. What about you? You have an idea? Hey. She liked you once. No, she loved you once. What? Too soon?

Liam: Um.... [Scoffs] Hate going home to that empty house. Be careful.

Ridge: I'm a big boy.

Liam: She eats those for breakfast.

Wyatt: I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a check for $1 million before. Well, except for maybe those billboard-sized ones they give out for sweepstakes.

Steffy: It's too much. It's too much. You can name a product line after me, but...

Quinn: Well, carter told us that we had to offer you some sort of...compensation.

Wyatt: Yeah, and this is just the going rate for a big celebrity endorsement.

Steffy: But, Wyatt, I'm not a big celebrity.

Quinn: There aren't that many C.E.O.s your age outside of silicon valley.

Wyatt: Yeah, let alone have their own "sexy C.E.O." Vlog, too.

Steffy: You know, ever since I got this job, I go home every night and I just think -- "was this the best day of my life?" I'll never forget whom I have to thank for these incredible opportunities.

Eric: You've earned it, Steffy.

Steffy: Yeah, but there are people out there who work really hard and never see this kind of check.

Quinn: Well, this portrait is gonna make a fine showing over that mantle when you and Wyatt move into this house.

Steffy: [Sighs] I mean, it's -- it's beautifully done. It's, uh, a little embarrassing, but I'm sure my dad will love it in his den or my mom or, uh... ...or Liam. I'm not moving in here any time soon. Wyatt, I don't want to hurt you, but you know where we stand. I moved out of Liam's, but once the divorce is final, I'm moving back in.

Wyatt: [Scoffs] I never saw anyone so difficult to give $1 million to. Um [Clears throat] This is not a bribe. There are no strings attached to this. Will you just think about the whole Steffy Beverly hills deal, please? I-I think it's a great opportunity for you and for the company.

Steffy: Okay. Okay. Yeah.

Wyatt: Okay.

Steffy: You're an excellent salesman.

Wyatt: [Chuckles] Yeah. I wonder what I might be able to sell you in the future.

R.J.: Good thing Maya and rick went out with her parents.

Brooke: I was hoping for a family night.

R.J.: Well, I get to eat what should have been their dinners.

Brooke: You already had seconds!

R.J.: Yes, mom. My math is excellent, if you recall.

Ridge: Hey. What did I miss?

R.J.: Hey.

Brooke: Hi!

R.J.: Saved us from eggplant.

Ridge: Oh, uh, good man because they like to attack this time of night, don't they?

R.J.: I think they're jealous because potatoes have eyes and they don't.

Ridge: Mm.

R.J.: Yeah.

Brooke: You said not to hold dinner for you.

Ridge: I thought I'd be later.

R.J.: Dinner's one thing, but you can't hold her respectability.

Ridge: What?

R.J.: Why are you living in sin with my mother?

Ridge: [Clears throat] Because I'm your father.

R.J.: Or because you're obsessed with your stepmother. Or you just want to get rid of her.

Ridge: Couple of things. I'm -- she's not my stepmother, and did you put this in his head? Maybe that's not the right thing we need to talk to our teenage boy about.

Brooke: No! He started in on me!

Ridge: Huh.

R.J.: You know, I'm worried about you two. I think you guys need direction.

Ridge: You know what you need? First of all, take your elbows off the table, number two, finish your homework.

R.J.: Oh, wow. Well, that was a great, great diversion, but I really want to know about Quinn.

Ridge: Don't worry about Quinn. I got it.

Quinn: [Sighs] I really thought we were gonna be able to get through to her.

Eric: I did, too.

Wyatt: [Sighs] She adores you, Eric, and she's thankful for everything you made possible. Hell, I adore you, you know? You, on the other hand, I don't think she adores you. I mean, I do sense a definite thawing...

Quinn: [Gasps] So then it wasn't just my imagination.

Wyatt: Yeah, but don't you think the whole portrait thing was just, I don't know, going a little too far?

Quinn: No, and as a matter of fact, that was Eric's idea.

Eric: Well, sometimes I take things a step too far. It's part of my charm. It doesn't always work.

Wyatt: I mean, what am I gonna do with you two? Except love you to death. Like, you guys keep coming up with these ideas to try and get Steffy back into my life, and there's a part of me that's cheering for you. Yes! But there's a part of me that's just -- why can't I just work on my marriage myself?

Eric: I apologize for interfering too much.

Wyatt: You only did it in the best way possible. You, on the other hand, eh.

Quinn: Okay. I realize I have my tendencies.

Wyatt: Tendencies for what?

Quinn: For helping. For...helping too much? Not letting anyone in on the helping and then... okay, thinking that I know better than everyone else.

Wyatt: Yeah, even me. Even if it has to do with my own life. Sometimes you're right. I love you, mom. Even if it's a psychiatric disorder, I do.

Quinn: I love you, too. You know what, life is gonna be good for both of us.

Wyatt: Yeah, yours already is.

Quinn: I know, I know, but what I meant by that is...

Wyatt: Okay, let's just maybe quit while we're ahead, if that's okay.

Steffy: Liam? Liam.

Liam: Steffy?

Steffy: Hi.

Liam: You're here.

Steffy: Is that okay?

Liam: [Scoffs] Yeah. I'd like it better if you had suitcases with you, but... how was your meeting?

Steffy: What meeting?

Liam: At your grandfather's with Quinn and Wyatt.

Steffy: Oh. Wow, news travels fast.

Liam: Yeah. I, um...I'm guessing you have something to tell me.

Steffy: Yeah. They want me to move into my grandfather's.

Ridge: This is really good. A lot onions, though, huh?

Brooke: [Scoffs] I thought I made enough, but then I forgot how much teenage boys really eat.

Ridge: Three times their body weight. That's the rule of thumb.

Brooke: [Sighs] That's good to know. I also can't believe that I have a teenage son that seems to know me better than I know him at times.

Ridge: Well, sweet Logan, you're an open book.

Brooke: I thought I was mysterious.

Ridge: Mnh-mnh. Apparently not to him or me.

Brooke: Well, that's it. I'm off to Italy.

Ridge: What is that gonna do? They have blondes in Italy. You're not gonna be mysterious there, either.

Brooke: [Giggles] Well, there is one blonde there that's very important to me. Hope.

Ridge: You're serious right now? You want to go to Milan?

Brooke: Yeah. I miss her. You don't mind, right? You're too busy for me. Too busy plotting against Quinn.

Ridge: [Sighs] Well, maybe it's not a bad idea.

Brooke: What? You really are trying to get rid of me.

Ridge: I'm trying to get us the life that we're supposed to have, not the one we're stuck in.

Brooke: I don't mind this life. You're here, R.J. Is home.

Ridge: Home. Speaking of home, I got kicked out of my childhood again this morning by my dad.

Brooke: [Scoffs] I'm sorry.

Ridge: Yeah. You should see him. He's so lost and so blind. But I'm not lost because I have you. I love you. I'm lucky.

Brooke: I love you. And you'll see. When I get back, you'll have everything in order, and we'll be able to say our vows and R.J. Will be there and he will shower us with all this rice...

Ridge: That sounds like a great story.

Brooke: ...Or whatever it is that bird lovers say we can do. [Giggles]

Ridge: Okay.

Quinn: Sons.

Eric: They make your heart and then they break it.

Quinn: I still feel so responsible.

Eric: Come here.

Liam: Please tell me you saw this coming, too.

Steffy: Liam, this isn't an insult to you.

Liam: So, what? I mean, does your grandfather even have a voice of his own anymore, or is he just Quinn's hand puppet?

Steffy: Okay, don't do that. Please don't -- don't do that. I had to hear him out.

Liam: Steffy, you -- you had a roof over your head, right here with me, until he made you feel like that was some kind of moral failing.

Steffy: Liam, I hate being apart from you as much as you do. Can we not go through this again?

Liam: I'm -- I'm sorry! I'm just -- I'm trying to... I'm trying to reconcile two different things here, okay? On the one hand, you know that Eric pushing this is all Quinn's design. On the other hand, you're letting it happen. So can you explain that to me?

Steffy: He's hurt. He feels shunned by the family and he's desperately just trying to rebuild something, like a legacy from what he has left, which is me.

Liam: Yeah. And his new son-in-law, Wyatt.

Steffy: It's not a scheme. It's what left of his instinct to rebuild the family stronghold. He wants to create a new line of products around me, and that means a lot of money in my pocket.

Liam: What products? Forrester makes what it makes -- clothing.

Steffy: He also talked about leaving the house to me.

Liam: His house?

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: To you only?

Steffy: I mean, he mentioned Wyatt, but I don't even think that --

Liam: Oh, come on! Steffy, they are trying to buy you. Can you just acknowledge that? Just acknowledge that.

Steffy: They believe in me.

Liam: Okay. There's 1,000 things I could say right now, 1,000 things I wish I could go back and do differently, but, Steffy, we always end up in the same place. So, tell me, if you disappear into that house, am I ever gonna see you again?

Steffy: Liam.

Liam: Yeah?

Steffy: I said no. I'm not moving in. I thanked them for the offer, but I told them that once the divorce is final, I'm gonna be in this house, and you're gonna be my husband again. I mean, Wyatt's a good guy and he took it well, but... you're the man I want to spend the rest of my life with.

Liam: I love you.

Steffy: I love you.
