Episode # 7371 ~ Katie unleashes her anger & frustration on Brooke, bringing up their past, present & future; Liam takes advantage of his newfound confidence and tells Steffy exactly what he feels.
Provided By Jim
Katie: You and my husband. All this time. All the denials and... all those promises. How could you?
Bill: Pleased with yourself?
Liam: Do you think this is fun for me? I take no pleasure in this.
Bill: Oh, sure you do. "It needed to be done," you just said. Liam the hero, fighting for the truth, even when he doesn't understand what the hell it is. I mean, this from the guy who changes relationships more than I change my underwear. You should have stayed the hell out of it.
Steffy: You want to take this beer home with you?
Thomas: No, no, no. Keep that for Wyatt. I know he likes those.
Steffy: Aww. What a nice brother-in-law.
Thomas: Yeah, aren't I? Hey, by the way, do you want me to take these to the sink?
Steffy: Uh, yeah. Please.
Thomas: Okay.
Steffy: And wash them!
Thomas: Easy. I'm not that nice.
Steffy: [Sighs]
Thomas: By the way, I got to leave something for Wyatt, you know? He wants to come and clean all that. Where'd he go, by the way?
Steffy: I'm not sure. But he had that look on his face.
Thomas: And what look is that?
Steffy: Half guilt, half sense of duty. That look he gets when he wants to visit his mother.
[Knock on door]
Quinn: Hello, hello -- Hey! Hi, you!
Wyatt: Hello.
Quinn: Come in, come in, come in!
Wyatt: You okay?
Quinn: Uh... Yeah. I'm never better.
Wyatt: All right. What's going on?
Quinn: [Scoffs] Why are you always so suspicious of me?
Wyatt: Oh, gee, let me think.
Quinn: Maybe I'm just happy that you're here. That's all.
Wyatt: Mm-hmm.
Quinn: Seriously.
Wyatt: Mm-hmm.
Quinn: Did your wife send you? Did she want to invite me to your little party?
Wyatt: The party's over, Mom.
Quinn: Oh.
Wyatt: I actually came by to thank you for not crashing it, so I brought you some leftovers. I appreciate you staying away and respecting Steffy's wishes.
Quinn: Well, anything for my favorite daughter-in-law.
Steffy: Wyatt can't like it, knowing that I despise his mom. He basically has to go behind my back to see her. I know that's not what he wants.
Thomas: Why does it sound like you're making excuses?
Steffy: What?
Thomas: It's easier, isn't it? Telling yourself that Wyatt's the unhappy one.
Steffy: What are you talking about?
Thomas: You regret marrying Wyatt, don't you?
Steffy: [Sighs]
Bill: Your understanding of what Brooke and I have been through is extremely limited! I mean, if you told Katie anything --
Liam: I didn't. But Brooke is telling her. Right now.
Brooke: It's not quite how you think.
Katie: Oh, no, no, no. You don't get to tell me what I think anymore. I'm gonna tell you what I think. You want my husband, and he wants you. You've kissed, you've touched, and God knows what else. All these suspicions that I have been trying to push down, that I've been trying to drink away, to dull the pain so that I could convince myself that you would never betray me... Not with my husband. Not my own sister.
Wyatt: Steffy just needs some distance from you right now, okay?
Quinn: I understand. Who knows? Maybe someday she'll come around and she'll even want to invite me to some of these little shindigs.
Wyatt: Yeah.
Quinn: You know, wouldn't that be great if I could join my son as part of the Forrester family?
Steffy: Let's not talk about regrets.
Thomas: I'm not trying to bring you down, Steff. But it needs to be said. You still care about Liam.
Steffy: He's not my husband. Wyatt is.
Thomas: But you don't have to stay in a situation that isn't working.
Steffy: Wyatt and I, we do work! We're good together! And I am committed to him!
Thomas: And Liam's respecting that?
Steffy: Yes.
Thomas: Because of his father? Because of Bill's commitment to Katie?
Steffy: He's following his father's example, okay?
Thomas: What if that weren't the case? What if Liam was pursuing you and trying to get you back? Would you still claim that staying with Wyatt isn't hard?
Bill: It should have been me. I should have had the opportunity to tell Katie. I'm her husband.
Liam: You had every opportunity, and Brooke's her sister.
Bill: The timing, Liam! The timing was for me to decide! You are aware of the fragility of Katie's health, right?! Well, what if she can't handle it?!
[Glass shatters]
Bill: You better hope she survives this.
Brooke: Katie, I don't want you to get worked up. You have to think about your health.
Katie: Oh, right, right, right, my health and my heart. I need to think about that. I'm sure that's what you were thinking about when you were sneaking around with Bill behind my back.
Brooke: All I could think about was you. I wanted to do right by you and your beautiful family.
Katie: Oh, my God! You lie as easily as you breathe! Are you listening to what you're saying?!
Brooke: Katie, please. Just calm down.
Katie: Oh, no, no, you don't have to worry about me, Brooke. I'm fine. I'm better than fine. I'm not crazy. This isn't all in my head. You wanted me to doubt what was right in front of my face. But this? This is real. This pain is real. And I know how to deal with it because I've been here before. But you... You're the one who needs help, because this story that you've told yourself your whole life about the beautiful blonde who falls in love with the wrong guy, that story -- It's a lie. It's a sick, pathological lie. She's a part you play. She's innocent. She bears no responsibility for the choices she makes because things just happen to her. She never means to hurt anyone, but boy, people get hurt an awful lot around her, don't they? When did she first show up, huh? High school? After Dad left?
Brooke: Oh, God, that is not fair.
Katie: Somebody should have told you back then. Daddy left and he's not coming back. He left you. He left all of us. And following your heart from man to man is no way to deal with it! Do you think he didn't hurt me, too? Do you think that he didn't hurt Donna and Mom most of all? But somehow, we were all able to stand up and find the strength within ourselves to survive it! We didn't look for a man to fill the emptiness! But not you. [Scoffs] No. The Slut from the Valley stays [Knock on door]
Steffy: It's open! Sisters know their brothers.
[Door opens]
Steffy: You want that beer, don't --
Liam: Not really why I'm here.
Steffy: Liam.
Liam: We alone?
Steffy: Yeah.
Liam: Good. I don't have to tell Wyatt to leave.
Steffy: What are you doing here?
Liam: I tried. [Laughs] I tried listening to him. I really did.
Steffy: To Wyatt --
Liam: No, my dad.
Steffy: I don't understand.
Liam: You know, “following Bill Spencer's example" / is kind of a joke. It's all a lie. It's just one big lie.
Steffy: You're not making any sense.
Liam: The same man who told me to honor and respect your marriage was spitting on his own the entire time. That hypocrite, that... That hypocrite was cheating on Katie with Brooke.
Steffy: What?!
Liam: Yeah.
Steffy: Oh, my God.
Liam: Yeah, and funny thing -- Now, suddenly, I don't care what he says about marriage. He doesn't get to hurt Katie the way that he did and then turn around and tell me what to do, tell me to respect marriage vows when he doesn't. I'm not gonna be guilted anymore, Steffy. I'm not gonna be guilted into staying away from you. You and I, we belong together, and I'm never gonna stop saying it.
Katie: All those men who thought that you actually cared about them. Dave. He was the first one. But how fast did you drop him after you met Ridge? And that was just the beginning of the pattern. You go on to drop Eric and then James and Grant and Thorne and Nick. And let's not forget about Deacon, your daughter's husband. All these men briefly caught your attention before you'd follow your heart someplace else. And then there's Bill. A man so inappropriate. Your -- Your sister's husband. But you just couldn't help yourself. You had to go for it, not once, but twice. I mean, are you finally seeing how sick you are, that there's actually something mentally wrong with you?!
Brooke: Katie, you don't understand. I fought this. I told Bill that there's no way anything could ever happen with us.
Katie: Do you ever think about Storm?
Brooke: Yes.
Katie: Or Mom? I mean, what do you think they would say, Brooke? You're -- You're Will's aunt. You should be looking out for him! You should be protecting him!
Brooke: I am! I am doing the best that I can!
Katie: By sleeping with his father?!
Brooke: No, we didn't sleep together!
Katie: Who cares?! What difference does it make?! I mean, why did you deny yourself?! Did you think it would make you any less of a liar, any less of a cheat?! You made me doubt myself, my every instinct, and that's almost worse. You watched as I fell completely apart, as I sunk into this puddle of insecurity and desperation! You lied to my face.
Brooke: I didn't want it to be this way.
Katie: Until you did. Until you got bored sitting all alone in your house, and you figured, “Well, now is the right time to tell Bill that I'm still in love with him.”
Brooke: I know I never should have done that.
Katie: Oh. You're right about that. But you don't regret it, do you? Because it's gonna get you what you want. And -- And I wasn't dying fast enough, so...
Brooke: Katie!
Katie: I mean, this whole modern-medicine thing really hasn't worked out for you, so you thought you'd just move things along.
Brooke: Oh, my God. I hate that you're talking this way!
Katie: I hate that I have to.
Brooke: That's it. I am going to leave. I'm gonna go far away.
Katie: [Laughing] Oh, it's too late for that.
Brooke: No, I am. This is all my fault, so I'm gonna just take myself out of the picture, and then you and Bill can have your life back.
Katie: Is this another gift? Because this is one package I think I'll return.
Brooke: What are you talking about? You're going to forgive Bill.
Katie: No. Oh, no. I will never forgive that man. I don't want anything to do with him. Or you. Not ever again.
Quinn: Aww. You're going so soon?
Wyatt: Look, I just want things to be very clear, okay? The only thing that could mess up my marriage is if you complicate it. So you have to stay away from Steffy and the Forresters, okay?
[Cell phone chimes]
Wyatt: You understand that, right?
Quinn: Mm-hmm.
Wyatt: Stay away from the Forresters for my sake. Please? Mom? Are you hearing me?
Steffy: Bill was lying? Wait, what? Wait, all that pressure when he called that family meeting and he was demanding that you stayed away from me!
Liam: Yeah, I know. It doesn't matter now. Do you understand? My dad tried to bully me into staying away from you, and I almost fell for it. Not anymore. Nothing's standing in my way.
Brooke: Katie, you're not thinking clearly.
Katie: Oh. Oh, I am. I am thinking more clearly now than I have in a long, long time.
Brooke: This doesn't have to tear your family apart.
Katie: It already has.
Brooke: Your life with Bill!
Katie: You can have him. You can, until the next man comes along, because you and I both know that there's always a next one, right? Or maybe not. Maybe you and Bill will last forever. I-I don't care. It makes no difference to me. It makes no difference to my son. You know, I never understood how Liam's mother and -- and -- and Quinn could keep their sons away from Bill. I mean, I found it appalling. But I get it now. They knew what they were doing. They could see what, until now, I have refused to see. He's dangerous. And they protected their sons from him, and I will do the same.
Brooke: My God, Katie. What are you talking about? You can't do that. That's not fair to Bill. This is all my fault. You said so yourself, the way I seduce men, the way I come on to them. Well, I'm the one who told Bill about my feelings for him. So if you need to blame somebody, blame me, not Bill! Go ahead. Call me a whore! ' &Cause I know that's what you think of me. [Voice breaking] I'm sorry. I am. I just tried to do the right thing, and I didn't mean to hurt you. I failed. I'm sorry. I-I failed. [Sobs]
Katie: Shh.
Brooke: [Sobs]
Katie: I'm gonna remember the best things about you. Your beauty and your laugh and the way the light always seems to find you. You shine so bright that anything or anyone standing next to you fades in comparison. That's what I'm gonna remember. You, beautiful and laughing, golden.
Brooke: Katie, what are you --
Katie: You will always be my sister, because we share the same blood. But this is goodbye.
Brooke: No.
Katie: Goodbye, Brooke.
[Insects chirping]
[Waves crashing]
Brooke: [Sobs]
