Episode # 7241 ~ Wyatt takes a break from his own woes when he receives shocking news about a loved one's personal life; miscommunication and lack of total honesty cause irreparable damage in Liam & Steffy's relationship.

Provided By Suzanne

Steffy: This can't be the end of us. We've come too far.

Liam: Why? Why would you do it?

Steffy: I shouldn't have. You told me over and over to stay away from Ivy, but she hurt your brother so terribly, I had to see her one last time.

Liam: Right, right. And you had to help Wyatt through his misery.

Steffy: W-Wyatt didn't tell me to go see Ivy, if that's what you're getting at. No, that -- that was my doing. And I know it was wrong... one of the many mistakes I made with that woman, but the one mistake I will not make... is giving up on us.

Quinn: What did he say, Wyatt? What were Liam's exact words?

Wyatt: I already told you! He said he's resigning and that he's very upset with Steffy.

Quinn: Yeah, but what were the words that came out of his mouth?

Wyatt: Would you stop?! Like, don't you have anything better to do than trolling for gossip? I mean, hey, let's talk about your love life, huh? Did Deacon get a job yet? Uh-oh. Trouble in Hades?

Quinn: Deacon and I are separated.

Wyatt: What? Mom...

Quinn: Oh, come on. It's no big deal.

Wyatt: What are you talking about, it's not a big deal? You guys seemed fine at thanksgiving. I mean, has it -- has it been that long?

Quinn: Well, we were putting on a good show for the family's sake.

Wyatt: Mom... you don't ever have to put on a show with me.

Quinn: I know, but the truth is, it hasn't been working for quite a long time.

Wyatt: Are you okay?

Quinn: Yeah. Well... I mean, I'm disappointed, but... whatever. These things happen.

Wyatt: Are you not okay?

Quinn: I don't want you to worry about me.

Wyatt: How am I not supposed to worry?

Quinn: You know what? Here's the thing. It was doomed from the very beginning. Deacon was good in a lot of ways, but... [Sighs] Well, in the end, he's not a Spencer man, and... I guess those are the only men who've ever been able to truly capture my heart.

Brooke: Is there something I should know about?

Katie: No, no. Just some...office politics.

Brooke: Okay.

Katie: How are you, uh, coming along editing the style sheet?

Brooke: I'm gonna need some help at some point.

Katie: Well, Bill taught me everything I know, so he can help you.

Brooke: Are you sure? It's not too below you?

Bill: Everything crosses my desk sooner or later. I would be happy to help you.

Brooke: I heard a rumor.

Katie: Oh. Well, do tell. We thrive on those things around here.

Brooke: That Liam may be resigning his position at Forrester.

Bill: Who told you that?

Brooke: I still have my contacts over there. Anyway, is it true? I mean, I can't imagine it would be. Liam and Steffy make such a great team. Besides, they're engaged.

Katie: Well, you've been out of the loop for a while.

Brooke: I have been reclusive. You know that.

Katie: It is true. Liam handed in his resignation.

Wyatt: Was there a fight or -- or an argument or something?

Quinn: No, no, no. It was nothing like that.

Wyatt: An amicable breakup between you and Deacon?

Quinn: I know. It sounds kind of oxymoronic.

Wyatt: Hey, look, it's no secret I've never really been a fan of Deacon's, but I always thought that you were.

Quinn: Yes, well, now that it's over and done with for good, maybe you'll believe me when I say Deacon is a good man.

Wyatt: Right. Anyway, what happened? Did he move out or something? Where'd he go?

Quinn: Well... he went to Europe...I think... to go and see hope. I don't want to talk about this anymore, please!

Wyatt: Okay. It hurts too much -- I get it.

Quinn: No, it annoys me. It annoys me so much that Steffy is alone, Liam is gone, and you're in here chatting with your mommy.

Wyatt: Hey, I'm the one who wanted to work here! You're the one who wanted to talk! Plus, when I left, she wasn't alone.

Quinn: Okay. Well, then go. Go help Liam pack. I mean -- I mean, that's doing something. Look, Steffy is available, and if you want the girl, go and get the girl. Do you want the girl?

Wyatt: It's not that simple, mom! I got a feeling that it's -- it's just -- it's not done between those two yet.

Liam: Are you sure you haven't already given up on us, Steffy?

Steffy: No. Why would you think that? Okay, look, I... I know I can be crazy sometimes.

Liam: Not an excuse.

Steffy: You're right. But the one thing I can tell you is that I've learned my lesson.

Liam: How can you chalk this up to a lesson that you learned?

Steffy: Um... you know, Ivy's partly responsible. You're gonna blame her for what you and -- you're gonna blame Ivy for this? Really?

Steffy: Whatever you say. Ivy drove me to it.

Liam: Yep, okay. I've heard enough.

Steffy: You're still in love with her.

Liam: Excuse me?

Steffy: You're still in love with Ivy. That's the only reason any of this makes sense. You haven't gotten over her.

Liam: No, Steffy. There is one woman I've never gotten over, and her name is not Ivy.

Brooke: I thought Liam loved his job. When did all of this happen?

Bill: Well, we heard about it after he got back from Australia.

Brooke: He went to Australia?

Katie: [Chuckles]

Bill: To deliver Ivy to her homeland.

Brooke: Oh, that's kind of weird.

Bill: Well, there's been a lot of weird stuff going on with my son.

Brooke: Well, look who sired him.

Katie: Oh, you're gonna fit in great around here.

Bill: Anyway, uh, I haven't heard from Liam.

Brooke: So, what's he been up to?

Bill: I guess he's just taking it easy. That stuff with Ivy couldn't have been pleasant.

Katie: For Liam or for Wyatt.

Brooke: I suppose Wyatt won't be too disappointed that Liam would be resigning.

Katie: No, those brothers are very competitive -- when it comes to work and women.

Wyatt: Steffy's trying to fix this. She loves the guy, and he just keeps blowing her off.

Quinn: Well, did he mention why he's blowing her off?

Wyatt: Well, I guess it's the way she's been treating Ivy or the accidents. I don't know.

Quinn: Okay. Well, then that just proves that Liam cares more about Ivy than he does about Steffy.

Wyatt: No. He's just ticked off. He keeps telling her to stay away from Ivy, and she won't listen. And when she doesn't, Ivy ends up in the hospital. But I just -- I don't get it. It doesn't make sense. Why -- why would he break up with her over that? That's just Steffy being Steffy.

Quinn: Who cares?

Wyatt: I care! I care about Steffy. She's confused and suffering right now. I want to help her. I don't want to hit on her.

Quinn: Okay. Well, then go to her and be there for her as a friend.

Wyatt: Yeah. A friend.

Quinn: Honey, that is where it starts -- friendship, companionship.

Wyatt: Whatever! They're probably in a make-up session right now.

Steffy: I can't believe this is happening to us... over something that is so stupid.

Liam: "So stupid"? Stupid as what?

Steffy: My bad behavior, I guess.

Liam: So that's how you see it.

Steffy: It's the only way to see it. I get that you're upset. But I -- I don't understand how you're this upset.

Liam: I'm not upset, Steffy. I'm just... I'm just really disappointed.

Steffy: I know you still love me.

Liam: That's not the issue.

Steffy: Well, it should be. Because, ultimately, that's what matters. Think about -- think about everything that we've conquered. We can't let this destroy us.

Liam: What matters... is trust. It's always been an issue of trust, and I can't trust you, Steffy...

Steffy: Yes, you can.

Liam: ...And it kills me to say that.

Steffy: Yes, you can! I-I won't let you down again. Not in that way, I won't.

Liam: That's the only way that counts.

Steffy: I'm not gonna lose you. If the past means anything to you, and I know it does... you won't leave me over this -- over this lapse in judgment. And it's not your house. It's our house. It's our home, and we share that together. So, um... I'm gonna go home. And I'm gonna wait for you to come home. We can give this another shot. We can fix this.

Brooke: That must be difficult for you at times, your sons constantly competing.

Bill: Friendly competition builds character.

Katie: That's tough talk. He doesn't mean it.

Brooke: Admit it, Bill -- you do worry about them.

Bill: I would prefer it if they got along a little better.

Katie: You got an admission out of him. Good for you.

Brooke: It was troubling for me when they were competing over hope.

Bill: I remember.

Katie: How is hope?

Brooke: She's good. I got a call from her yesterday. She's in Monte Carlo.

Katie: Nice. How long will she be there?

Brooke: Oh, a couple of days. She's with a friend.

Katie: A boyfriend?

Brooke: No, no. I think she's with one of her girlfriends. Anyway, I'm glad she's not in the middle of that mess between Liam and Wyatt anymore.

Bill: Well, nobody's happier about that than I am. I hope those two are through competing over women.

Katie: Although, I have to say...

Bill: What?

Katie: There was a time when I thought Steffy and Wyatt might hook up.

Wyatt: Steffy. You, uh -- you heading out?

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, I'm, uh -- I'm going home.

Wyatt: So, did you -- you two work things out?

Steffy: Mnh-mnh, not yet. No.

Wyatt: Look, I -- I'm sorry, Steffy, with everything you're going through.

Steffy: No, no, no. I'm sorry that you had to overhear all that.

Wyatt: No, come on. That's my idiot brother. I don't know what the hell's gotten into him.

Steffy: Well, he... he doesn't trust me.

Wyatt: Imagine that. He's the one who goes running off to Australia with my ex-girlfriend, and you're the one who's untrustworthy.

Steffy: I just -- I just want to get past all of this.

Wyatt: I know you do. And you will.

Steffy: I wish I had your confidence.

Wyatt: I meant what I said earlier. Walking away from you would be the dumbest thing that he ever did.

Steffy: That's sweet.

Wyatt: Shucks. Talk about overreacting. All you did was you paid Ivy a goodbye visit, right?

Steffy: Uh...yeah, it was -- it was a little more than that.

Wyatt: So you pushed her down some stairs. You've done it before. Who cares?

Steffy: Stop!

Wyatt: What? It's not a problem. She's fine.

Steffy: Well, thanks for making me smile, finally.

Wyatt: Well, you know, you can always get that from me.

Steffy: Thank you.

Wyatt: Yeah. So, you're going to Liam's place?

Steffy: I have to believe he and I are gonna work things out. If I have to fight for both of us, Liam, I will. And I'm not -- I'm not moving out of your house. It's our home. We share it together. I'll be waiting for you. All you have to do is show up. One more chance. We will fix this.

[Knock on door]

Quinn: Knock knock. May I bother you a moment?

Liam: I don't work here anymore.

Quinn: So I've heard.

Liam: Okay. So if it's work-related --

Quinn: Oh, it isn't. I just spoke with Wyatt. Are you upset with my son?

Liam: What do you want, Quinn?

Quinn: Well, I know he walked in on a tense moment between you and Steffy, but that's not really his fault.

Liam: I just asked you, "what do you want?"

Quinn: I just want to know if it's true. Are you ending things with Steffy?

Quinn: Are you gonna answer me? It's a simple yes or no. Are you breaking up with Steffy?

Liam: Oh, you would love that, wouldn't you, Steffy and I calling it quits.

Quinn: Frankly, I'm surprised she stayed with you for as long as she did. But from what I hear, you're the one who's doing the breaking up.

Liam: Wyatt send you here?

Quinn: Liam, no one sends me anywhere.

Liam: Yeah, well, tell him to stay away.

Quinn: Whoa. Where did that come from?

Liam: Just tell him.

Quinn: Why would you care if you're the one dumping her?

Liam: Because right now, I don't want him anywhere near her.

Quinn: Wyatt's gonna do whatever Wyatt wants to do.

Liam: I swear, Quinn, if I see Wyatt with one hand on her...

Quinn: I suggest you leave Steffy be. I mean, you've put her through enough. And as for Wyatt --

Liam: You just keep him away from her! Just keep him away. Okay?

Quinn: Liam, are you okay? Liam?

Steffy: I just want to get past this. It never should've gone this far.

Wyatt: Amen to that.

Steffy: Did he say anything to you, anything at all?

Wyatt: No. No, it's like he's avoiding me, too.

Steffy: I don't -- I don't get it. After everything we've been through, how do you just end our relationship, just like that?

Wyatt: I know. I mean, all you did was go to her place, and, yeah, there was an accident, but it wasn't your fault.

Steffy: Several accidents.

Wyatt: And none of them were your fault, so...

Steffy: You're a good friend. You know that? You're always in my corner.

Wyatt: Telling you off. Fixing up your scars and cuts and just putting you right back in the ring. I'll do it any time.

Steffy: You know, honestly, when Liam was in Australia, I don't know how I would've gotten through this without you. I was really freaking out. I didn't hear anything from Liam, and I just made you stay at the house, and I... I held you like a teddy bear.

Wyatt: Hey, you would've done the same thing for me, so...

Steffy: Yeah, you best believe it.

Wyatt: I believe it. So, um -- so Liam's gonna be waiting for you at home, then?

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, I hope so.

Wyatt: You hope so?

Steffy: I didn't really give him a choice. I'm fighting for both of us. All he has to do is show up.

Quinn: Liam!

Liam: Oh, seriously?

Quinn: Where are you going?

Liam: Not that it's any of your business but home. I have to talk to Steffy about things I should've said already.

Quinn: Well, are you still gonna work things out? I mean, how many times are you two gonna break up?

Liam: Oh, my God. You're behind this, aren't you? Always pushing Wyatt and Steffy together. Because that is so you, Quinn.

Quinn: I don't control my son. But I -- I do think they belong together.

Liam: Think about what you're saying. You're talking about my fiancée and my b-- and my brother.

Quinn: Liam, are you okay?

Liam: I'm fine, all right? Just -- just go away. And while you're at it, keep your son away from Steffy...

[Dramatic music plays]

Quinn: [Echoing] Liam? Liam...
