Hope: I never doubted us.

Liam: It's -- it's hard to... make sense of everything that's happened to me. But here we are, you know? Steffy took off her ring. She flew to Europe. I-I can't make sense of it. I don't understand it. The only thing I really have a handle on right now is... the love I have for you.

Caroline: So, this is where all the magic happens.

Rafael: Well, this is where we hope the magic happens, if I can find my leading lady.

Caroline: I told you that I have the right actress for you.

Rafael: I know she's your friend, but I have a lot riding on this. You know, I have to be very careful who I cast.

Caroline: Okay, first of all, have you ever known me to have any female friends? And I don't like her. I like you. And I want your web series to do well. Now, you're already on the right path by hiring Carter, 'cause he's hot. So now we just have to find him the perfect leading lady, right?

Rafael: Right.

Caroline: Okay. Well, then, look no further. Maya Avant is your girl.

Maya: [Giggles] Pam totally saw.

Rick: Yeah, so? Are we hiding anything?

Maya: No. But...she sits right next to your aunt. I don't want to come off as unprofessional.

Rick: At this company? Oh, trust me. Pam's had to turn away from much worse. Anyway, let her talk. It gets the word out. If the world wants to know about Rick and Maya, let them. Rick and Maya -- together at last.

Rafael: All right. Show me her picture.

Caroline: You'll like her. I promise. And the best part is, is that Carter does. He's totally hot for her, so you won't have to worry about chemistry. A show like that -- a lot of bedroom scenes, I'd imagine.

Rafael: Oh, yeah. You know, it's all about couples breaking up, making up.

Caroline: Mm-hmm.

Rafael: She won't have a problem with that?

Caroline: Staring at his hot body all day long? Have you seen him shirtless? It's her dream job. Okay. So, there she is. Now, tell me that Maya isn't perfect for this part.

[Knock on door]

Pam: Um...everybody decent?

Rick: Yes.

Pam: Good. Um, could I ask you a little favor?

Rick: Okay.

Pam: Could you maybe not include me in your...canoodling business?

Rick: I wasn't planning to.

Pam: Because if you want me to cover for you with Caroline -- you know, make up excuses for where you are and stuff -- it would be --

Rick: Pam, it's not necessary.

Pam: Well, Caroline can get a little intense. [Chuckling] If you know what I mean. And I'm not really interested in being on her bad side.

Rick: Well, Caroline and I aren't together any longer.

Pam: Duh. [Chuckles] Everybody knows that. Except Caroline.

Rick: She does now.

Pam: Did -- did you give her the old heave-ho?

Rick: I-I wouldn't -- I wouldn't put it that way.

Pam: [Laughs] I can't wait to tell Donna this. Things are about to get really fun around here.

Hope: Hey.

Liam: Hey.

Hope: I'm really glad that we came up here.

Liam: Yeah -- sort things out, regroup.

Hope: Mm. And...we can take our time, Liam. There's no need to rush. I mean, you've been through so much -- losing a baby and your wife. I just -- I want you to know that I don't -- you know, I don't expect anything from you right now. When you're ready, I'm ready.

Rafael: [Sighs] Sorry about that.

Caroline: Oh, no. It's okay. I know you're busy.

Rafael: Yeah. I just met with Carter -- you know, prepping him for this audition scene. I've got tons of girls set up to read with him this afternoon. Don't worry. I'll call in Maya.

Caroline: Thank you. You know, if you only knew how much you'd be helping me out...

Rafael: If this girl gets the part -- somebody who's not even your friend -- I don't get it.

Caroline: [Sighs] My...boyfriend is interested in her.

Rafael: [Chuckles] What?

Caroline: Well... ex-boyfriend, I guess.

Rafael: Why would you want to help her get a part?

Caroline: In a show like this opposite of eight-pack Carter? You know, spending those long hours together rehearsing, maybe one thing leads to another. I've got an idea. I mean, maybe you could ask the writers to put in as many bedroom scenes as possible...

Rafael: [Sighs]

Caroline: ...For your best friend from New York.

Rafael: Oh, okay. I get you.

Caroline: I mean, obviously, you don't have to hire her. You should do whatever is best for your show, but, Rafael, I'm in love for the first time in my entire life.

Rafael: He's that special to you?

Caroline: Yeah. And right now, he's just... fixated on her. But I'm the one that's better suited for him. I mean, we both work in fashion. Come on, you know? And I know that deep down, Rick doesn't want to be with an actress. So I'm just hoping that if maybe she gets the part, that he'll see that. You know, I've had a taste of what it's like to be with him and be a part of his family, and I just -- I don't want to give that up.

Maya: Is Pam always so... energetic?

Rick: You'll get used to Pam. In fact, after a few family functions, you'll get used to all of us. We're an eccentric bunch.

Maya: I've noticed. But it's a good thing, because then I have a chance of fitting in.

Rick: You already do. You know that?

Maya: I do feel accepted here...more than with my own family. I mean, they...turned their backs on me when I needed them most. But you? Being here with you and seeing how the Forresters take care of each other -- I'm starting to realize what family actually means.

Hope: What is it?

Liam: I'm still thinking about Steffy. I can't -- I can't not. It doesn't make sense why she'd leave. It really doesn't. It's...

Hope: Yeah. But she did. And [Sighs] You know, until you deal with that, we -- we can't...

Liam: Hope, I don't want to --

Hope: No. I -- no, I know. I know. But I just -- I-I've got to be realistic. I-I have to. [Sighs] You need time. Look, Liam... I want you -- all of you. And I'll know when you feel the same way... because I'll be able to look into your eyes... and see that you are completely committed to me. [Sighs] Liam, of course, I understand how you feel. I mean, your marriage just ended. I-I'm not surprised that you're thinking about Steffy -- wondering what happened, what went wrong -- but... I know what I need. And I know what I deserve, and that is a man who is completely committed to me.

Liam: I know.

Hope: No, I-I know you know that. And, Liam... I think that that's you. Obviously, not right now.

Liam: [Chuckles]

Hope: Not while you're so raw, but soon. I'll know it when I see it.

Liam: I wish it were now.

Hope: Hey, no. It's -- its okay. I understand. And, Liam, this feeling isn't going to last forever. And until then... until then, maybe we...shouldn't be here together like this.

Liam: I, uh -- I could... I could go home.

Hope: I think that's probably best for both of us. Eric has a couple, you know, cars in the garage.

Liam: Yeah. Uh, yeah. [Clears throat] Sure. And you don't think -- you don't think he'll mind?

Hope: No, no, no. Not -- no, not at all. You can take one.

Liam: [Sighing] Okay, yeah.

Hope: [Sighs]

Liam: Listen, Hope...

Hope: No.

Liam: ...I am not --

Hope: No, I -- it's -- its okay. I'm fine. I'll hang out here.

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: Hey. We'll be together again.

Rick: I'm sorry that your family wasn't there for you.

Maya: Me too. It's no big surprise, though. They made it clear how disappointed they were when I moved to L.A. My dream of being an actress was never encouraged. The thought that I might be a success never even crossed anyone's mind.

Rick: I can't wait for you to prove them wrong.

Maya: If I do.

Rick: There's no doubt in my mind.

Maya: Well, I haven't done a lot yet, but I am not giving up. It's all I've ever wanted.

Rick: So, being a fashion spokesmodel isn't exactly what you had in mind?

Maya: Come on. I am eternally grateful to you for this job. I still can't believe you think I can do it.

Rick: You can do anything. And you will. I'm sure of it.

Rafael: Okay, now, this is weird. You've dated tons of guys. You never really liked any of them.

Caroline: I know, right? [Chuckles]

Rafael: This guy?

Caroline: He's the one. I-I want to marry him.

Rafael: [Chuckles] Whoa.

Caroline: Yeah. [Giggles] And I kind of really screwed things up with him. I completely underestimated his involvement with Maya, and so I was cynical and condescending.

Rafael: You?

Caroline: Shut up.

[Both laugh]

Rafael: But what if he really likes her?

Caroline: He does. But I know Rick, and I know what he will put up with and what he won't put up with, so if there's any indiscretion, he'd cut her loose.

Rafael: Well, that's kind of a long shot. I mean, they're professional actors, and even if there's chemistry on camera, that doesn't mean, you know...

Caroline: I know. But it's worth a try. Just...meet with her. See if she's what you need, because this might be exactly what I need.

[Water trickling]

[Camera shutter clicks]

Hope: [Giggles] Oh, my God. Oh, my God.

Maya: Thank you for believing in me.

Rick: I always have.

Maya: Well, I don't care what it takes. I'm not giving up. Acting classes, workshops, auditions, whatever -- I'm gonna make it happen.

[Cell phone ringing]

Rick: Well, maybe you should answer it. Might your big break.

Maya: [Scoffs] Yeah. Remember what happened the last time I got my hopes up?

[Ringing continues]

Rick: [Chuckles]

Maya: Hello?

Rafael: Oh, uh, is Maya there, please?

Maya: Speaking.

Rafael: Oh, hi. Um, my name is Rafael. I'm producing a web series called "Room 8." Your head shot recently came to my attention, and, uh, I was hoping you could stop by the studio for an audition.

Maya: Um...I'm sorry. What kind of production is this?

Rafael: What do you mean?

Maya: Is it suitable for all ages?

Rafael: Yeah. Oh! [Chuckling] No, no, no. It's a totally legit series.

Maya: Okay. Yes. Yes. Then I would be thrilled to come in. [Chuckles] Uh-huh. Uh, yes. Yes, I know where that is. Okay. Half an hour? I will be there. Thank you.

Rick: It's an audition?

Maya: [Laughing] Yeah. Ahh! Oh!

Rafael: I'm doing this for you.

Caroline: I know. I know. Thank you.

Rafael: Do you really want this guy? What's his name again?

Caroline: Rick. Rick Forrester.

Maya: [Laughs]

Rick: I knew it. All you had to do was be patient.

Maya: Well, I haven't gotten anything yet. It's just an audition.

Rick: Well, I'm sure you're exactly what they're looking for.

Maya: [Chuckles]

Hope: Oh, my God. [Muttering indistinctly] [Laughing] Oh, my God.

Wyatt: Hey! Hey! Wait a second!

Hope: [Giggling] [Gasps]

Wyatt: Oh. Oh, man.
