Brooke: Did Rick apologize to Liam?

Hope: Kind of. Yeah. I mean, but then he got all big-brothery and started lecturing him.

Brooke: Oh, no.

Hope: I know. It's okay, though, because, well, maybe Liam needed to hear it.

Brooke: So things are good?

Hope: Yeah, I think they are.

Brooke: You think he's ready to ask you to move back in?

Hope: Getting there. We're getting there. But we've been talking about me this whole time. How are you?

Brooke: Taking care of business.

Hope: Uh, meaning what? What does that mean?

Brooke: My children are my priority.

Hope: Mom, that's not right. We're adults. You need more than that.

Brooke: Honey.

Hope: [Chuckles] It's Valentine's Day. And you're alone.

Brooke: I'm fine.

Hope: [Sighs] If what happened with Bill Spencer has taught us anything... it's that you're not fine. You're lonely.

Katie: Okay. Let's say good night to Daddy.

Bill: [Chuckles]

Katie: Good night, Daddy.

Bill: Come here, big boy.

Katie: Good night.

Bill: Come here. Come here. Oh, look at you! What are you doing, you know? You're running Mom ragged, and on Valentine’s Day. That's not cool.

Katie: He's getting a cold. I'm gonna take him to the doctor tomorrow.

Bill: How are you doing?

Katie: I'm exhausted. [Laughs]

Bill: Katie.

Katie: Hmm?

Bill: You can't overdo it. You won't let me do much. You won't let me bring any nannies in here to help you.

Katie: No, no, no. I'm taking care of my own kid. I'm fine. I'm fine.

Bill: Would you tell me if you weren't?

Katie: Yes. Thank you for asking. Yes.

Bill: What do you think, huh?

Katie: [Laughs]

Bill: Would mommy tell me if she was not feeling so hot, huh?

Katie: [Sighs]

[Both laugh]

Taylor: [Panting] Ohh! [Moaning]

Eric: [Sighs]

Taylor: [Gasps] Eric!

Eric: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't want to interrupt. I don't mean to interrupt.

Taylor: Uh, I was just working out.

Eric: You're working out? No, I thought you were, um...

Taylor: You thought I was what?

Eric: [Chuckling] I was under the impression that you were in here and...

Taylor: [Gasps]

Eric: Actually, I'm just sort of imagining that now.

Taylor: Oh, you are?

Eric: [Laughing] Yes, I am. Here. These are for you.

Taylor: Eric. Thank you. [Gasps]

Eric: Happy Valentine’s Day.

Dayzee: I know. I know, sweet girl. She's sleepy. We got to go.

Marcus: No, no, no. Do we have to?

Dayzee: Yes, we do.

Marcus: Come back to daddy.

Dayzee: She's gonna be cranky. Say, "I'm gonna be cranky." Say, "no, Daddy."

Marcus: Fine. It's all right. Good night, sweetie.

Dayzee: Yeah. I'm gonna come back for you in a minute.

Marcus: Oh.

Dayzee: Mm-hmm.

Marcus: Hurry on up.

Brooke: I really wish you'd forget what happened with Bill.

Hope: Oh, you kissed him, Mom.

Brooke: You know the circumstances.

Hope: I do. Aunt Katie practically forced the two of you together.

Brooke: That's right. And it will never happen again.

Hope: My point is you've been alone too long.

Brooke: This is odd. My daughter taking care of my love life.

Hope: Well, somebody has to. You're certainly not doing anything about it.

Brooke: [Sighs]

Hope: Are you still hoping that Ridge will come back?

Brooke: No.

Hope: Mom.

Brooke: And I just think it's too early to think about somebody new. You know, but maybe -- maybe in time... just -- there's not really a man in my life right now, anyway, so it doesn't matter.

Katie: [Chuckles]

Bill: I've been missing you.

Katie: Oh, well, I've had baby duty.

Bill: Well, hopefully, he's gonna sleep well tonight, right?

Katie: Oh, God, I hope so. I could really use it.

Bill: Yeah, we both could. For more than just sleep.

Katie: [Sighs] I'm gonna go put him down. All right, come on. Let's go. Bed time.

Bill: I'll be waiting. [Sighs]

Dayzee: Thank you for the beautiful roses.

Marcus: Well, you are welcome, darling. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Dayzee: You know, I never thought I could be this happy.

Marcus: [Laughs] Me either.

Dayzee: No, but, I mean, I never even fantasized about it. You know most girls do.

Marcus: Oh, come on. Not even as a little girl?

Dayzee: No. I was all about just trying to survive.

Marcus: Hmm.

Dayzee: I just...never thought this would be in the picture.

Marcus: Yeah, so different, the lives we come from.

Dayzee: Yeah. Could have been a lot more.

Marcus: Yeah, if my mom hadn't given me up for adoption, being a teen mom on her own.

Dayzee: [Sighs] I just can't stop thinking about Maya.

Marcus: Yeah, she's -- she's had a tough road. More than her share of grief.

Dayzee: I mean, sent to prison for a crime she didn't commit, being separated from her child... now finding out her daughter is dead. [Sighs] I don't know. It's just -- it's heartbreaking. And I wish there was some way I could help. I'm just really hoping that this doesn't get ugly.

Marcus: Hey. Carter is helping us, okay? And my brother's a damn good lawyer. He'll handle it.

[Water running]

[Water stops]

Katie: [Chuckles] Hey.

Bill: Hey.

Katie: [Laughs]

Bill: Will down for the count?

Katie: Mm, I hope so. I'm sorry you had to cancel that reservation.

Bill: Ah, kids get sick. Part of the program.

Katie: Yeah. I hate it when he coughs.

Bill: He's gonna be fine, Katie.

Katie: Oh, Lord. [Sighs]

Bill: You are... a sensitive, wonderful woman. Incredible mom, an amazing wife.

Katie: Mm, thank you for saying that.

Bill: I mean it. The way you take care of both of us. You're the glue, Katie. You hold us together.

Katie: Well, I try.

Bill: So, I've been, uh... thinking about this little drinking issue.

Katie: Mm-hmm.

Bill: Obviously, I don't think it's a problem, but it is for you. And it's upsetting for you. I don't want that. So, how about we try it your way for awhile?

Katie: Oh! Thank you!

Bill: [Chuckles]

Katie: Oh, God, I really need to sleep. [Sighs]

Brooke: I really wish Eric didn't appoint Thomas Vice President. I think that's gonna be a big problem for Rick.

Hope: Well, you know, I'm sure he just did it because of Taylor.

Brooke: Without consulting me. I really hate how she hangs on him and makes demands.

Hope: She's a lot like you. All about her kids.

Brooke: [Laughs] Well, at least I don't blame her for everything that goes wrong in my life. Taylor, on the other hand... Eric must really cringe every time he sees her coming.

Taylor: Oh, my gosh. Right there. Wow. Oh! Ooh! That's a big knot. I know. Oh, my goodness. Whew. Oh, my goodness. You are really good at this.

Eric: I've had some practice. There for awhile, massage was the only thing that would give Stephanie any relief at all.

Taylor: [Sighs] You know, you were really good to her. She was so lucky to have you.

Eric: I was lucky to have her. And right now I feel very lucky to be here with you.

Hope: So, you're studying up?

Brooke: What?

Hope: Don't think I haven't noticed.

Brooke: What on earth are you talking about?

Hope: The books that are everywhere. They're right there on your nightstand. The romance novels. When Ridge was around, you never read those.

Brooke: No, I didn’t.

Hope: Mnh-mnh. You never needed to.

Brooke: [Laughs] You are incorrigible.

Hope: [Laughs] I'm going to bed.

Brooke: Okay. Sweet dreams.

Hope: Good night. Have fun with your novel.

Brooke: Oh, yes!

Hope: [Laughs]

Brooke: [Chuckles]

[Will crying]

Katie: Oh, no, no. I'll go. I'll go.

Bill: Katie, let me do it.

Katie: No, it's -- it's gonna be a rough night for him. I'll just sleep in the nursery. Oh, honey. I'm sorry. I know it's Valentine’s Day, and you're kind of in the mood.

Bill: Yeah, kind of.

Katie: Rain check.

Bill: You bet.

Katie: Okay. I'll make it up to you. I promise.

Bill: [Chuckles]

Katie: [Chuckles]

Taylor: Thank you for the massage and for the flowers. And for just being you.

Eric: Can't be anybody else.

Taylor: And just so you know, there's nobody else that I'd rather be with tonight.

Dayzee: Have I told you... that I love you today?

Marcus: You sure did.

Dayzee: [Chuckles]

Marcus: Likewise, you know.

Dayzee: I know. You know, you mean so much to me, Marcus. And our lives together.

Marcus: Everything's gonna be all right.

Dayzee: I know. Because we have each other.

Marcus: [Chuckles]

[Door opens]

Brooke: Happy Valentine’s Day... stallion.

[Will fussing]

Katie: It's okay. It's okay, little one. Mama's right here. Shh.

Bill: [Sighs]

Brooke: [Sighing]

Bill: [Sighs]

Taylor: [Laughing] Oh, my gosh, Eric, that's terrible.

Eric: [Laughing] I know. I know. Well, I was young. Come on. I was very young and I was overworked and I was preoccupied.

Taylor: You can't forget Valentine’s Day! That's awful.

Eric: I made up for it. I made up for it. With flowers and champagne and chocolates. Fact is we were both very preoccupied with the business then.

Taylor: Wow, well... what a legacy the two of you built.

Eric: Yeah.

Taylor: I'm not just talking about the business. I'm talking about your family.

Eric: A lot of memories there. But you have a lot of memories there, too. With Ridge.

Taylor: Yeah. Mm-hmm. I don't regret any of them. I wouldn't trade that time in my life. I'll always treasure it, but it didn't last forever. [Sighs]

Eric: Well, nothing does, does it?

Taylor: I'm so comfortable with you.

Eric: Good.

Taylor: [Chuckles]

Eric: Yeah, we've known each other a long time. You know that?

Taylor: Yeah, but this is different. It’s...like I'm only beginning to really know who you are. It's like...I'm getting to know a different side of you.

Eric: My life's moving in a different direction now. You know, it's past my bedtime. You know that.

Taylor: No, it's not.

Eric: Yes, it is.

Taylor: Let me see. [Gasps] Oh, my gosh! Eric! [Gasps]

Eric: So, I'm gonna leave you. I'm gonna leave you to your, uh...to your lunges and your dreams. All right?

Taylor: Well, they'll be much sweeter because of you. Thank you for that surprise.

Eric: You're welcome. Happy Valentine's Day.
