Katie: Did you decide to wake up for your daddy? He'll be home soon, I bet. (Sighs) Oh. Taylor, I-I just-- I can't thank you enough. You had so many opportunities to give up on me, and you didn't.

Will: (Cries)

Katie: Oh, no.

Taylor: And your husband hasn't given up on you either.

Katie: (Sighs)

Bill: (Sighs)

Brooke: Thank you for coming up to Big Bear. It really meant a lot to me.

Bill: I'm glad I was there.

Brooke: Me, too. I'm excited to see Will. (Chuckles)

Bill: Yeah, so am I, uh, and to take a long hot shower.

Brooke: Yeah. Just make sure you lock the door this time, Stallion.

Bill: (Chuckles)

Taylor: Oh, yeah. That's it.

Katie: (Laughs)

Taylor: Hi. Look at you. You sleepyhead.

Katie: It's Aunt Taylor.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: I’m gonna see my son. Jump in that shower.

Katie: I'm home. (Chuckles) (Sighs)

Dayzee: How did Eric sound?

Marcus: Yeah, he's been so strong for Stephanie through all this.

Steffy: For all of us.

Thomas: I don't even want to think about it.

Felicia: Maybe it's not what we're thinking.

Thorne: Well, if it is, we are all here for each other, okay, because that's what families are about, especially this one.

Thomas: That's right.

Eric: She loved you.

Felicia: Daddy.

Eric: Okay. Okay. Okay.

Felicia: (Sobbing)

Donna: Yeah, Eric's with the family now. Well, I'll be sure to give him your condolences. Thank you so much for calling, Senator. (Sighs)

Liam: Hey.

Donna: Hi. (Chuckles) It keeps... phone calls pour in. I-I don't how they found out before the family did. It--

Liam: Found out what?

Donna: Oh. Um, Stephanie passed away earlier.

Liam: Oh, I'm sorry.

Donna: So am I.

Pam: We all knew this day would come. You tell yourself that you're prepared.

Felicia: But you never are.

Marcus: So many people will miss her.

Felicia: Especially Daddy.

Thorne: What can we do for you, Dad?

Steffy: Anything, Granddad.

Eric: I'm okay. Stephanie's with me. She's with me right here.

Katie: Hey. Oh, give him back.

Taylor: There's mommy.

Katie: Yes. (Chuckles)

Taylor: (Chuckles)

Katie: (Sighs) I know this is the last thing you ever expected, walking in here and seeing me holding our son.

Bill: How did this happen, Katie?

Katie: (Sighs)

Taylor: Katie has a lot to tell you.

Katie: I... (Sighs) I was so lost. I-I thought my life was over. But--but Taylor's been helping me, and I feel... (Sighs) I feel like I've been reborn. (Laughs) (Sighs) You're happy, aren't you? (Chuckles)

Brooke: Yes. Yes, of course, I'm happy.

Katie: What's going on? (Chuckles) What's happening between you two?

Eric: This is a big loss. This is a big loss for everybody.

Thorne: Yeah.

Eric: We'll deal with it as a family. I know there's a lot going on in everybody's personal lives. I get that. But we're a business, too. Now here's what I want. I want you to reach out to each other. I want you to respect each other. I want to you respect the contributions that everybody makes, including Pam. Everybody, even those who aren't here-- Ridge, Kristen, everybody-- we all need to carry on Stephanie's legacy, and that's family. She said over and over again that... that we were her-- her--her greatest legacy, and we are. The Forresters-- ever changing, ever strong.

Donna: Oh, my gosh. I-I actually forgot to tell you. Katie is back.

Liam: Katie's back?

Donna: Yeah, she's back, and--and she's bonding with Will. Uh, it's like a miracle. (Sighs)

Liam: (Sighs)

Katie: It's been such a busy day. So tired.

Bill: Seeing you with our son in your arms... this is what I wanted weeks ago, Katie.

Katie: I can do it now. I can hold him and feed him, and--and I can be his mother.

Bill: But you walked-- you walked out on us. Do you know how worried I was, how worried Brooke was?

Katie: I know. I-I know. I feel terrible about what I put you through.

Bill: You ran away. You made us think that you'd gone to Aspen. You left your ring, a note saying you were getting a divorce, Katie.

Katie: Oh, no, I don't--I don't want a divorce. (Chuckles) I don't--I love you.

Bill: My God, Katie.

Katie: I know. I know. I-I-I don't know how I can expect you to understand. I-I didn't understand until--until Taylor explained it to me.

Taylor: Postpartum depression.

Katie: That's what she thought I had, but I-I didn't believe her. I thought she was wrong, because I thought that I could feel my heart giving out. And... (Sniffles) And I thought that I was going to leave Will. And so I-I wouldn't let myself bond with him, because I felt like I was going to abandon him, and I thought that the best thing would be for you and Will to make a new life.

Bill: We wanted you.

Katie: I know. (Sighs) I know, but I just had this--this-- this dark cloud hanging over me, and I-I couldn't think straight, and I couldn't see things for what they really were, and I-I-I really thought that--that I was doing what was best for you and Will by leaving.

Taylor: The point is, as distorted as Katie's thinking was, what she did was out of love for you and your son.

Katie: (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Thorne: It's just gonna take some time.

Felicia: No. I'm never gonna get used to the idea of Mom being gone.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Eric: Hey.

Steffy: I know. Grandma said she didn't want any tears. (Sniffles) But I can't help it. I feel like I'm letting her down.

Eric: Now stop it. Now stop it.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Eric: You cannot let her down. She was so proud that you were her namesake. She loved you so much.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Eric: It's okay.

Steffy: (Sobbing)

Hope: Hey. (Chuckles)

Pam: She loved you very much, you know.

Hope: I think that you are a lot more like her than you know.

Pam: Me?

Hope: Yeah. Yeah.

Pam: Oh. No. Well, thank you, but no. Stephanie...

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Pam: Was her own woman. I'm... (Chuckles) I-I was somebody's daughter and then somebody's sister, but now... (Sighs) Everything's so different.

Eric: Hey.

Thorne: Yeah?

Eric: You know how much she loved you, don't you?

Thorne: Yeah, I do. You good?

Eric: Good. Hey, Buddy.

Liam: Eric, I'm sorry for your loss.

Eric: Hey, thank you.

Thomas: Liam's here. You know, I'm glad you two are living together. I know how I feel about you being alone.

Hope: Hey. I'm thinking about taking off.

Eric: Okay, bye.

Hope: Okay.

Eric: (Whispers indistinctly)

Hope: Oh.

Eric: Pam, come on.

Liam: Um...

Steffy: Hi.

Liam: You ready?

Steffy: Yeah. Can you actually give Hope and me a minute?

Liam: Yeah. Yeah. Um... yeah.

Steffy: Thank you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Steffy: Thomas-- he didn't realize that--

Hope: It’s okay, Steffy. It is. You know, I figured it was just a matter of time. You two are back together. It--it only makes sense that you'd want to live together. I made the decision not to marry Liam. We're all moving on. You know, that--that's how it should be, right?

(Cell phone rings) (Rings)

Steffy: Can you just give me one second? Hello? Yes.

Hope: (Sighs)

Taylor: It wasn't until I was able to get Katie to go to the hospital...

Katie: (Sighs)

Taylor: And the doctors ran every conceivable test that we were able to find that Katie's fears weren't founded.

Katie: My heart wasn't exploding. It was just panic and anxiety.

Taylor: That's what the tests confirmed.

Katie: And I didn't want to believe it. I didn't want to let myself be his mother because of my depression.

Taylor: So then I called Donna, and she came up and brought Will to the hospital.

Katie: (Sighs) I will never forget that moment. She put him in my arms, and it was like the sun was finally breaking through after so long... because of you. It was because of you, my sweet boy. I never want to let you go ever, ever again.

Bill: You won't have to. What you've been through...

Katie: (Sighs) All that's changing, Bill.

Bill: We're a family again. The Spencer’s are starting fresh.

Katie: (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Chuckles) (Sniffles)

Hope: (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Liam: I never even made it to the lobby. (Chuckles) Steffy got bombarded with condolence calls.

Hope: Yeah.

Liam: I guess dinner will have to wait.

Hope: (Scoffs) (Sighs) Stephanie touched a lot of people, had a lot of friends. I think she was probably the strongest woman that I knew.

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Hope: (Sighs) (Sniffles)

Liam: I think a lot of that rubbed off on you.

Hope: Oh. Thanks. Steffy's strong, too.

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: But I am-- I am glad that she has you while she's going through all this.

Liam: How did you find out?

Hope: Oh. Does it matter?

Liam: I'm sorry. I should have been the one to tell you.

Hope: Liam, no. It's--no, it's all right.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: It's--it's really sweet that you're concerned. It is. It was my decision not to marry you, you know, after everything that happened. (Sniffles) We're all moving on, and that's--that's what we should be doing. (Sighs)

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: Yeah.

Liam: Uh, so you gonna be okay?

Hope: Oh, yeah. Yeah. I've got dinner plans of my own.

Liam: Oh, good. That--cool. Um... (Chuckles)

Hope: (Chuckles)

Liam: So--so, um... it was good seeing you.

Hope: You, too. (Sniffles) (Sobs)

Katie: You don't, um... have my wedding rings, do you?

Bill: (Sighs) You left them in Aspen.

Katie: So they're still there.

Bill: I was hoping you'd come home to claim them.

Katie: (Sniffles) (Chuckles) (Chuckles) (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Chuckles) Okay. What--what is going on that you-- something is happening. I have sensed it since you guys walked in-- in the door this--

Bill: We just came back from Big Bear. Stephanie died there today in Brooke's arms.

Taylor: (Gasps) Oh.

Brooke: I'm sorry, Taylor.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Brooke: I know you loved her, and she loved you very much.

Taylor: (Sobs) Stephanie's engagement ring.

Brooke: Yeah, she gave it to me just before she slipped away.

Taylor: (Sighs) (Sighs) Was the-- was the end peaceful?

Katie: Thank God.

Brooke: Stephanie is at rest. And you are back here with your family.

Katie: Thank you so much. You came through for me just like I knew you would.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: I thought you would make a better mom to Will, but I don't think that anymore.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: Thank you. You're a wonderful loyal sister.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: I love you so much.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: (Sniffles)

Brooke: (Sighs) I couldn't be more thrilled for you. (Chuckles) If you need anything, just let me know.

Katie: You're-- you're leaving?

Brooke: Yeah. Yeah, I gotta go home. Bye, little sweetheart. Sweet dreams. (Sighs)

Bill: I'll walk you out.

Brooke: Bye, Bill.
