Man: Deeply sorry for your loss, Mr. Forrester.

Eric: Thank--thank-- thank you. Thank you.

Pam: Where have they taken her?

Man: We understand it was Mrs. Forrester's wish to be cremated.

Eric: Yes, she was very clear about that-- no funeral, no burial.

Man: We're deeply sorry for your loss, Mr. Forrester.

Eric: (Sighs) Thank you.

Man: Please contact us at our local facility with your instructions.

Eric: I absolutely will. Thank you.

Pam: Thank you.

(Door closes)

Eric: (Sighs)

Brooke: She left us so peacefully. I was holding her in my arms.

Eric: It's what she wanted, Brooke. She wanted...

Pam: (Sniffles)

Eric: She wanted to be with you. She knew you would be strong.

Pam: (Sobbing) Steph.

Eric: Okay. Okay. It's okay. Shh. Shh.

Katie: (Sighs) Okay.

Taylor: Here, let me hold Will.

Katie: Oh, thanks. There you go. Thank you so much for everything.

Taylor: You're welcome.

Katie: I've been so cruel to you.

Taylor: You've been depressed. Shall we go inside?

Katie: Yeah. (Sighs)

(Baby crying)

(Muffled shouting)

(Harp strums)

(Crying and shouting cease)

Katie: (Sighs) Taylor, it's... the sunshine and then the-- and then the plants, and--I mean, I-I thought it was... raining in here and so gloomy, and--and these--these pictures, they haunted me. Was it... was that all depression?

Taylor: You've taken huge steps towards overcoming it. You're gonna work through it for a while. (Sighs)

Katie: (Sighs)

Taylor: And I would love to be able to help you if you would consider hiring me back.

Katie: (Sighs)

Katie: May I, uh...

Taylor: Mm. Mm-hmm.

Katie: Hi. Oh. (Sniffles)

Taylor: (Chuckles)

Katie: Oh, it feels so good to hold him. (Chuckles)

Taylor: He knows. He knows he's in his mother's arms.

Katie: Yes. His mother's arms. Mommy's here, and she's never gonna leave you ever again. (Sighs) (Sniffles) Oh, gosh. Postpartum depression-- I did not want to hear you say those words to me. I just--I didn't believe that you were right, but you were.

Taylor: So we'll continue with counseling, and if I think you need it, we'll get you on an antidepressant.

Katie: I'll do whatever you say. I can't wait to go home. (Chuckles) I can't wait to see your daddy. (Chuckles)

Bill: Hey.

Brooke: Bill.

Bill: I took off as soon as I got your text. Are you alone?

Brooke: Pam and Eric are in the other room. You didn't have to come all the way up here.

Bill: Yes, I did.

Brooke: She's gone.

Bill: I know.

Brooke: Stephanie Forrester.  What is the world going to be like without you? (Sniffles) (sobs)

Katie: I just don't know how I allowed myself to become such a mess. (Sighs)

Taylor: Katie.

Katie: I need to hold him. (Chuckles)

Taylor: Oh, of course you do.

Katie: (Sighs)

Taylor: Oh.

Katie: Let's just go home. I can come back for this stuff later.

Taylor: You sure?

Katie: Yes, I'm positive. I just want to go home. I can't wait to see your daddy. It's all long overdue. Our little family's gonna be together. (Chuckles)

Brooke: I think Stephanie planned this. She wanted me to be here with her.

Bill: You brought a great deal to her life.

Brooke: It's odd, isn't it? My worst nemesis, my forever best friend. (Sighs) You didn't have to come all the way up here. I really didn't expect it.

Bill: I thought you might need me.

Brooke: (Sighs) I did. I do.

Bill: You want to talk about it?

Brooke: As a teenager... (sighs) Stephanie was... my idol. I used to read about her and her family, and she was my nemesis before she even knew it, before we even met. And then of course, we became bitter, bitter enemies. We really did hate each other. But over time, we began to understand each other, to accept each other for who we really were. And first, there was respect and, finally, love.

Bill: She gave you a great gift, Brooke.

Brooke: (Sniffles)

Bill: And you gave her one, too-- best friend...

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: Someone who knows you better than you know yourself... so that there's nothing to hide from that person.

Brooke: Yeah. She did.  Oh, no.

Bill: What? Brooke? Brooke, what is it?

Pam: (Sighs)

Eric: She loved everything about this place, you know.

Pam: (Sighs) I know. (Sighs) I so wanted to be with her here. (Sighs)

Eric: Well, you know your sister, Pam. She loved you. She loved us.

Pam: (Sighs)

Eric: And she knew that we loved her, too. She wanted...

Pam: Mm.

Eric: To live her life the way she wanted to live it, and that's the way she wanted to die, too. God knows I wanted to be by her side when she left me. (Sighs) But I think she needed to be with Brooke. She had unfinished business with Brooke. Yeah.

Pam: What are we gonna do with her ashes?

Eric: She left instructions.

Pam: (Scoffs) (Chuckles) Of course, she did. (Laughs)

Eric: (Chuckles) Of course, she did, yes. She left instructions, a lot of them, and a key to a safety vault and all kinds of--there's-- there's all kinds of stuff to take care of in L.A.

Pam: (Sighs)

Eric: Oh, my God.

Pam: (Sighs) No funeral, no memorial service, nothing.

Eric: No, the party at the house was all-- the only celebration she wanted.

Pam: (Scoffs)

Eric: It was the only thing she wanted-- nothing after she was gone.

Pam: (Sighs)

Pam: Maybe I should leave, Eric, go back to Chicago.

Eric: No, you're not going anywhere.

Pam: No.

Eric: Your home is here now.

Pam: Yeah, but I'm alone, Eric. Now that Steph is gone... (Scoffs) I'm the only one left in my family.

Eric: You're a member of this family now, Pam. We love you. We all love you.

Pam: (Sobs)

Eric: Now we've lost Stephanie. We're not gonna lose you, too.

Pam: (Sighs)

Eric: You stay here.

Pam: (Sobbing)

Eric: You stay here with us. Okay. Okay.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: Brooke, where are you going?

Brooke: It has to be here.

Bill: What are you doing?

Brooke: (Breathing heavily) This is where it happened. (Sighs) This is where Stephanie died. She died in my arms. (Sighs) Bill, we have to find it. We have to find...

Bill: Find what?

Brooke: (Breathing heavily)

Bill: Brooke, what are you trying to find?

Pam: I'm sorry. I guess, I-I'm just-- I'm feeling a little empty, lost.

Eric: Yeah. Everything in here is a memory, you know, everything.

Pam: I know.

Eric: (Sighs)

Pam: Maybe you want a little time alone. I'll go.

{Flashback}

Stephanie: You're such a pushover.

Eric: (Chuckles) Pushover? You're the pushover. Here you go, right there.

Stephanie: Hey. Hey! Did you push me?

Eric: Yes, and I say it's just about time. Here! There you go.

Stephanie: Oh!

Eric: Give me something to hit. Come on, give me something to hit. That's it. Here you are.

Stephanie: Oh! You--aah!

Eric: Oh, really?

Stephanie: Stop hitting me! You're hitting me.

Eric: Give me that. Give me that.

Stephanie: (Laughs) Stop! (Laughs) (Blows raspberry)

Eric: Come here. Come here. Give me a kiss. Give me a kiss. Come here.

Katie: Okay. Bill, we're home! (Sighs) Yes, we are. Bill! (Chuckles) (Sighs)

Taylor: It feels like you never left.

Katie: (Sighs) I know it used to be your home.

Taylor: Yes. This is where I raised my family. A lot of wonderful memories here.

Katie: (Sighs)

Taylor: And now it's your turn to build your family here.

Katie: (Sighs) I want that so much. I remember when Bill brought us here after Will was born, and he was so excited to show it to us. It was a surprise and--yeah, it was. (Giggles) I-I couldn't appreciate it, because I was so miserable and so depressed, and I couldn't even thank him for this beautiful place. But all that's gonna change, because I'm home.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: Brooke, what are you doing?

Brooke: (Sighs) Stephanie asked me to bring her outside so she could feel the sun and the breeze on her face one last time, and... (sighs) she gave me something.

Bill: What?

Brooke: Her engagement ring. She really wanted me to have it, and I-I-I must have dropped it.

Bill: Well, we're gonna find it.

Brooke: I don't know. I-I--so much happened that I-I--

Bill: Brooke, Brooke, Brooke, Brooke.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: We'll find it.

Brooke: Yeah. Right. It's gotta be here somewhere. (Sighs)

Bill: Brooke.

Brooke: What?

Bill: Hey.

Brooke: (Sighs) (Sighs)

Katie: Honey, I'm home with our beautiful baby! (Laughs) I don't know where he is.

Taylor: Mm, maybe he's at the office. Let's give him a call.

Katie: No, I'd rather surprise him. (Chuckles) We're gonna make your daddy the happiest guy in L.A. Yes, we are. (Chuckles) Where are you, Bill? (Sighs)

Brooke: I'm gonna miss her so much. She was always there for me.

Bill: She's still with you.

Brooke: Thank you for that.

Bill: You've been there for me, Brooke, and I will always be there for you.
