Brooke: Uh, I... (Laughs) Was just looking for the...

Bill: Blanket?

Brooke: Yeah.

Bill: Found it.

Brooke: (Laughs) Yeah, yeah, I-I found it.

Taylor: Do you understand the dangerous game you're playing with your family? Brooke stayed at your home last night with your husband. It won't be long before she never wants to leave. Is that what you really want?

Katie: Brooke can give Bill and my son what I can't.

Taylor: Brooke is getting very close to your husband. She's bonding with your baby. If you don't step back in and reclaim your family, you're going to lose them forever.

Liam: Move back in with me. I don't want to spend another night without you.

Steffy: Wow. I... I wasn't expecting this-- I-I mean, so soon. It's just-- you caught me off guard.

Liam: Huh, imagine that.

Steffy: Yeah.

(Cell phone rings)

Eric: Ah, it's Rick.

Stephanie: No, no.

(Ring)

Stephanie: The boys might need you. You--you take that call. Go ahead.

(Ring)

Eric: Son?

Rick: I'm sorry to bother you. I wouldn't if it weren't important.

Eric: What? What is it?

Rick: Thomas's new vision of Forrester is about to cost our company upward of $10 million, not to mention take us totally off track. And he's convinced himself that it's a brilliant idea.

Eric: Well, it's not.

Rick: Thomas is putting it to vote. We need you here.

Eric: Now?

Rick: I know that the timing is terrible. You need to be with Stephanie. But this affects the whole future of our company. It's not gonna take very long. Are you two even in town?

Eric: No. Do something to put it off, all right?

Stephanie: (Coughs)

Eric: I'll call you later.

Stephanie: What was that about?

Eric: It's a vote on Thomas's new agenda.

Stephanie: You should be there.

Eric: No. I'm not leaving you.

Stephanie: This is an important vote. Eric, this is our company. Now granted, we've given it to the boys... (Coughs) But it still means everything to you.

Eric: No, my dear, that would be you.

Stephanie: I want you to go. I want you to do this for me.

Eric: I'm not gonna leave you alone.

Stephanie: All right. That's fair enough. Call Brooke. She wants to see me, I know. She'll come.

Steffy: I should have it bronzed or something...

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Commemorate this milestone.

Liam: Hey, I got a better way-- use it.

Steffy: I'll tell you what-- I will move back in, but I want to keep my place, too.

Liam: Escape hatch?

Steffy: If we need it. Let's be real. Couples fight no matter how much they love each other. We might need space or maybe one of us is too tired to drive back in.

Liam: Yeah, a place in town and a place at the beach-- I like it.

Steffy: I don't want to move too fast. I don't want to jump into something we're not ready for. So let's stay spontaneous and flexible. Life is short, so let's live it, cowboy.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Let's live every single moment.

Liam: (Laughs)

Steffy: (Laughs)

Taylor: Katie, your son needs his mother.

Katie: (Sighs)

Taylor: That's you.

Katie: How can you possibly encourage me to go back to a baby that I will only have to leave again, this time for good?

(Heartbeat thumping)

Taylor: You don't know that.

Katie: It's my body, and it's giving out. I can feel it a little more each day. I am not going to allow my son to become attached to a mother who's only going to abandon him.

Taylor: We're all dying, Katie.

Katie: No, don't. Don't. I-I have a year left at best. I mean, that's my reality. And maybe--maybe it's more like months. Maybe its weeks. But I cannot allow my son to become attached to me. I have to do what's best for him. I owe Will that much.

(Heartbeat thumping)

Brooke: Aren't you going to cover yourself?

Bill: You know, most women would squeal or run for the door, at least cover their eyes.

Brooke: This must be how to conduct business. You wait until the other person blinks. Put your towel on, Stallion.

Brooke: I'm gonna go give this to your son.

Bill: Hey. You're one in a million.

Brooke: So are you.

(Door closes)

Bill: (Chuckles)

(Cell phone rings) (Ring)

Brooke: Eric. Is Stephanie okay?

Eric: Still bossing me around, Brooke. There's a vote at Forrester today on Thomas's new agenda. I should be there, but I don't want to leave Stephanie alone.

Brooke: Of--of course not.

Eric: She's asked for you, Brooke. We're at the cabin in Big Bear. Don't tell anyone else.

Brooke: I won't. I'm on my way.

Eric: Thank you.

Steffy: This is the best, you know, being together in the moment, not worrying about the past or thinking about what's next.

Liam: Yeah, it's nice. It's like, right now all that matters is the way you feel right here in my arms.

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Katie: If God had any compassion, he would just take me now.

(Heartbeat thumping)

Katie: (Breathing heavily) Are you listening to me?! Or have you turned your back on me, too?!

Taylor: Katie, stop it. You're making yourself sick. Please come over here and sit.

Katie: No, no, no. No more talking.

Taylor: Just relax.

Katie: I-I want you to go. I want you to go. And I swear, if I see anyone on the street who even looks like Bill or Brooke, I will disappear, and I will go so far away that you will never be able to find me.

Taylor: No, no. You have my confidence.

(Heartbeat thumping)

Eric: Hey. The prodigal son.

Stephanie: Oh. Don't be upset with him.

Eric: I can't believe you told him not to come.

Stephanie: (Sighs) I just, uh... I didn't want him to...

Stephanie: He's turned out to be a wonderful guy-- a good, kind, strong man. I just didn't think that...

Eric: (Sighs)

Stephanie: He's just like you.

Eric: I have been very proud to be his father. He was maybe your greatest gift to me.

Stephanie: I love you.

Stephanie: (Coughing)

Eric: Okay.

Pam: Wait, Rick, Eric is coming in?

Rick: Yeah, I just got a text from my mom. Well, I had to do something. Thomas is using his temporary position to steamroll his agenda.

Pam: Well, no, I-I know. No, I think it's great that Eric's gonna be here, but what about-- what about Stephanie?

Rick: My mom's gonna be with her.

Pam: Brooke? If... (Voice breaking) I'm sorry. What... so you know where she is?

Rick: Pam, I'm... I'm sorry, I don't.

Pam: (Gasps)

Stephanie: Brooke is coming?

Eric: Yes, she's on her way.

Stephanie: Well, you should change.

Eric: I'm not certain I'm going.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Honey, Brooke will be here. I'll be fine.

Eric: (Clears throat)

Stephanie: You've got that-- you've got that, uh, suit that you can wear that you always have up here.

Eric: You're just as stubborn as you ever were, aren't you?

Stephanie: (Whispers) Part of my charm.

Eric: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: (Coughing)

Eric: (Whispers indistinctly)

Stephanie: (Sighs) (Groans)

[Brooke remembering]

Brooke: I love you, Stephanie, and I want to be there for you. Do not rob me of this. Don't do that to us.

Stephanie: I appreciate what you're saying, I do.

Brooke: We made a difference. You and I had a purpose. We found a purpose. We found satisfaction.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Brooke: And it wasn't about money. It wasn't about the glamour of this industry or anything like that. It was about helping people in need. And you're the person in need right now.

Stephanie: (Sighs) Can we sit down for a minute, please? (Coughs)

Brooke: You are my dearest friend, Stephanie...

Stephanie: Oh. (Sighs)

Brooke: And I want to be there for you, and now you're telling me that I can't be?

Stephanie: (Sighs) Brooke, I hear what you're saying, okay? And I appreciate what you're saying. God, I keep thinking all I'm doing is disappointing you. I--it's--Honey, it's just not what I want.

Liam: So you're into making memories, are you?

Steffy: You know I am.

Katie: Just go! Just get out! I'm dying. I'll have a heart attack just like I knew I would. And I'm ready. I am ready. Do you hear that? I'm ready. Come and get me! And take me out of this hell! (Sobbing)

(Heartbeat thumping)

Taylor: Katie...

Katie: (Sobbing) (Sniffles) (Sighs)

Taylor: This is a manifestation of your depression.

Katie: (Sighs)

Eric: (Clears throat) Honey?

Stephanie: Still the best-lookin' guy in the room.

Eric: I'm the only guy in the room.

Stephanie: For me.

Eric: You are frustrating and infuriating, aren't you, and so controlling, and I absolutely adore you.

Stephanie: Now don't you start just--

Eric: Now you let me say this. You let me say this. I am tortured. I'm tortured that you're leaving me. But I'm... I'm so grateful for all our time together and all the love and all the pain in the ass that you are.

Stephanie: (Coughs) (Chuckles)

Eric: I've been so grateful to call you a partner and a wife. You're my strength and my solace and the bane of my existence.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Eric: I love you so much.

Stephanie: I love you.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

(Knock on door)

Stephanie: Saved by the knock at the door of the pizza man.

Eric: (Sighs) (Sighs) Hi.

Brooke: Hi. (Sighs)

Eric: Thanks for being here.

Brooke: Yes, of course. How is she?

Eric: She's not good, Brooke.

Brooke: (Sighs) Are you sure you want to be leaving right now?

Eric: It's what she wants. She--she wants to be with you.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Eric: Don't worry. I'll be back as fast as I can.

Brooke: Okay.

Eric: All right? All right, come on.

Brooke: Hi, Stephanie. (Sighs)

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Hi, Brooke.

Eric: All right. I'm gonna leave you in her hands right now, all right?

Stephanie: Okay.

Eric: Keep smiling. You keep these Irish eyes smiling for me, all right?

Eric: (Sighs)

Stephanie: Drive carefully.

Eric: (Chuckles) Okay.

Stephanie: Straighten those boys out.

Eric: Yeah, yeah.

(Door closes)

Stephanie: I'm happy you're here.

Brooke: Me, too.
