(Indistinct conversation)

Eric: Look at you.

Stephanie: (Coughs)

Eric: You're beaming.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) (Sighs) It's nice to see the three of them together. (Coughs)

Eric: When Ridge gets here, all four of them will be in the house for the first time in how long?

Stephanie: Too long. Why the hell did we wait till I was dying for getting them together? It's so stupid.

Eric: Have I spoiled everything?

Stephanie: Not that I'm aware of.

Eric: I mean, I just didn't want to have another one of those caviar and string quartet things for the millionth time

Stephanie: I love caviar. I'm still trying to find out exactly what it is that you were--you know, got in your mind here.

Tony: Hello.

Stephanie: Well, you're casually dressed.

Eric: Yes.

Tony: Hello.

Stephanie: At long last, you're here.

Tony: Oh.

Stephanie: (Laughs) And you look so handsome.

Tony: Thank you. Well, we--we had to take different flights.

Stephanie: I know. I know.

Kristen: It worked out. It gave me time for a nice visit with Mom.

Stephanie: It sure did.

Tony: Where's Ridge?

Felicia: He's not here yet.

Tony: But he is coming?

Bill: Okay, so I'm a little jumpy leaving Will alone.

Brooke: (Sighs) He's gonna be fine. He's gonna be with the nurse.

Bill: I know it's the nurse. I didn't like leaving him alone with Liam and Steffy, and I don't like leaving him alone with the nurse, either.

Brooke: That's the baby nurse that he came home from the hospital with. She's very competent, you know that.

Bill: All right, fine.

Brooke: You don't have to go.

Bill: Oh, no. I'm going to give Ridge a piece of my mind.

Brooke: Oh, boy.

Bill: Uh, you have been very supportive of me, and I am going to return the favor.

Brooke: Well, thank you. Just don't scare him off, okay?

Bill: Hmm.

Brooke: So how do I look? (Sighs)

Bill: You look... beautiful...

Brooke: (Chuckles)

Bill: Like a woman who's about to see the love of her life.

Brooke: (Sighs) We're gonna look into each other's eyes, and everything is going to be just fine. I really do appreciate you doing this.

Bill: I wouldn't let you walk in there alone.

Brooke: You don't have to stay long. I know it's not your idea of a night out.

Bill: I'm gonna be there as long as you need me. I have to supervise your reunion, make sure Ridge is treating you right.

Brooke: (Chuckles)

Bill: I also want to say good-bye to Stephanie. You know, in some ways, we are kindred spirits. I have a lot of respect her.

Brooke: I'm sure you're not the only one who feels that way.

Bill: It's gonna be a tough night-- celebrating Stephanie's life...

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: Seeing Ridge. I'm there for you.

Brooke: Thank you.

Taylor: Hello, everyone.

Stephanie: Oh, Honey.

Taylor: Oh, Stephanie you look so beautiful.

Stephanie: Oh, Sweetheart. Thank you. That's so nice to hear.

Taylor: How are you feeling?

Stephanie: As good as can be expected.

Eric: Come here. Come on in. Hi.

Taylor: Hello, Eric. Come inside.

Eric: I'm gonna call Ridge.

Stephanie: No, no, no, no, don't, don't, don't. Stop worrying about all that. Okay? It's fine.

Eric: (chuckles) All right.

Steffy: Hey. (Sighs) How are you?

Stephanie: Oh, Steffy. I'm so happy you're here.

Steffy: Oh, it's good to see you.

Stephanie: (Sighs) (Whispers) I'm glad you brought Liam.

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: (Chuckles) (Normal voice) Hi, Liam.

Liam: Hi.

Stephanie: Hey, Caroline.

Eric: Everybody, come in. Come on. Come on.

Stephanie: Thanks for coming. Rick.

Eric: Okay.

Rick: Hi.

(Indistinct conversation)

Rick: What’s Dad planning?

Felicia: We're all in the dark.

Stephanie: What kind of a party have you got here?

Eric: Trust me.

Stephanie: (Sighs) Do I have a choice?

Rick: Dad, I took care of everything that you said.

Eric: Good.

Rick: Well, just make sure before you leave--

Eric: I will. I will. Don't worry. Thank you. Thanks.

Dayzee: Hey, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Hi. (Chuckles)

Dayzee: How are you? How are you feeling?

Stephanie: I feel pretty good.

Dayzee: You look beautiful.

Stephanie: Who paid you to say that?

Dayzee: He did. No, I'm joking (Chuckles)

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Good.

Marcus: Hi, Stephanie.

Stephanie: Hi, Marcus. Okay, go on in.

Marcus: Mm-hmm.

Stephanie: Donna. Hi.

Donna: I know I said I, uh,... (Sighs) You know, wasn't coming, and, well, Dayzee talked me into it. (Chuckles) But if you want me to go, I'll just go.

Stephanie: I don't-- I want you to come right here, and I want you to come inside, and want you to stay.

Donna: Are you sure? 'Cause if you just want it to be family--

Stephanie: No! No, no, no, no, no. Knucklehead.

Donna: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: (Coughs) When are you gonna figure out you're family?

Donna: (Laughs) Oh, that means so much Stephanie. I respect you so much. I do.

Stephanie: Oh.

Donna: (Sniffles) Despite our differences, I do. And I-I'm so sorry for the way.

Stephanie: No, I understood. I understood.

Donna: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Dayzee...

Dayzee: Yeah?

Stephanie: Thank you.

Dayzee: I knew you would regret it if you did not come, so...

Donna: (Laughs) Yeah.

Marcus: Yeah, that's my "Z." She has a way of convincing people to do things.

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Don't I know that (Coughs) (Chuckles)

Dayzee: Mm.

Stephanie: Promise me you'll keep helping people, and you'll get a lot of other people to help people.

Dayzee: I promise.

Stephanie: It means the world to me, just like you do.

Dayzee: And vice versa. (Chuckles)

Pam: Eric, Eric!

Eric: Yeah?

Pam: They're here.

Eric: Okay.

Women: (Laughing)

Eric: Hi. Hello.

Pam: (Squeals)

Woman: Hi.

Eric: I'm Eric Forrester. Thank you very much for coming. I appreciate it.

Pam: Celtic woman actually singing in our home- I-I can't believe it.

Eric: Uh, this is-- this is Pam Douglas, my sister-in-law.

Pam: Stephanie is--is gonna so happy that you're here.

Chloe: I'm Chloe. We spoke on the phone.

Eric: Yes, we did. Hi. Hi. Oh, and--and this is, Mairead ...

Maired: Correct.

Eric: And this is Susan and Lisa.

Pam: Hi. Yes.

Eric: I got it right. Look at this.

Maired: Well, you have a beautiful home.

Eric: Thanks very much. How was the flight from Dublin?

Susan: Oh, no problem.

Lisa: Always such a pleasure to come to L.A., and we're so happy to be here for your wife.

Eric: I-I-I would take you in, except you're the surprise.

Chloe: Oh, no worries. We're ready to go.

Eric: I can see that. Look at you. You're beautiful. Alright, Pam's gonna take you into the guesthouse.

Pam: Okay.

Eric: There's food and refreshments there. You can relax until--until the performance, all right?

Maired: Well, we're ready whenever you are.

Eric: Thanks so much again.

Pam: Follow me.

Eric: My family's never gonna forget this. .

Taylor: Is your mother coming?

Hope: Uh, yeah, as far as I know. Um, she's really eager to get here to see Ridge.

Taylor: Well, there's no guarantee that he'll even be here.

Hope: Yeah.

Kristen: He wouldn't miss Mother's last party.

Thorne: And besides, what better way for Ridge and Brooke to get back together? I mean, you know Ridge. He wouldn't mess up that kind of romantic gesture- and, the dramatic entrance, knowing how happy it would make Mother.

Stephanie: What would?

Taylor: Ridge showing up.

Hope: And getting back together with my mom.

Stephanie: Oh, yeah. Well, that's out of my hands (Chuckles) I have to trust Ridge to do what's best for him.

Kristen: Wow! (Chuckles) I never thought I would hear you talk like that.

Stephanie: Oh. Yeah, well, I've grown up.

Tony: You see. I-I-I told you we could move back to L.A.

Stephanie: Ah. (Chuckles)

Kristen: (Chuckles)

Felicia: How are you doing, Mom?

Stephanie: Good, Honey. I'm good. I'm sorry I interfered in your lives so much, but you know mothers.

Kristen: I get it. You know, we're mothers, too, you know.

Felicia: And hey, I can even admit that you were right sometimes.

Kristen: Sometimes.

Stephanie: Music to my ears.

Felicia: (Laughs)

(Door closes)

Liam: Hey. Hi.

Hope: Hi. Hi. (Chuckles)

Liam: Uh, so good to see you.

Hope: You, too. How's Steffy?

Liam: What?

Hope: Oh, I mean, Stephanie's her grandmother. I just feel like this might be really difficult for her.

Liam: Oh. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. It is, but you know, she's hanging in there.

Hope: Good.

Liam: Yeah. It's really nice, um, of your mom, by the way, to be helping my dad.

Hope: Yeah, it's, you know, I think it's really good that she's, you know, keeping herself occupied after losing Ridge and... (Sighs) Suffering another loss. It's not easy.

Liam: No, it's not.

Steffy: Hey, have you spoken to Dad?

Thomas: Only by e-mail, but not for a few days.

Steffy: It's really weird he's not here.

Thomas: Is it?

Stephanie: How's your baby?

Bill: He is, uh, he's doing great.

Stephanie: Good. And I'm guessing that Katie didn't show up, because she didn't want to leave him alone with a babysitter. (Coughs) Right?

Bill: Yes. Yes. She's right.

Stephanie: Oh, gosh. I remember those days. (Chuckles) The firstborn-- that's always the hardest. It took me forever to be comfortable to leave Ridge with a babysitter. Come on now. You're gonna have a good time, you promised, whether he comes or not.

Brooke: Right.

Eric: Everybody, uh. I--can have your attention for a second? I want to talk. I won't be long. I won't be long, I promise. So we all know why we're here--to celebrate this woman's life, this wonderful woman that we all admire and love. When I first tried to convince Stephanie that we were gonna have this party, I realized there's a big risk involved. There's a pretty fine line here. Remember we need to have a really good time here today, and we will. Ah, all right, so I was thinking how would-- how would I start this? How would I do it? And I was thinking of when I first fell in love with her. (Chuckles) I was, uh, I was barely 19. I was a college kid. And--they had colleges then.

All: (Laugh)

Eric: And I wanted to get into the fashion business in the worst way, and I had no idea how to do it. And the she-this-- this-- this glorious girl came into my life. I did not know what to make of you. I still don't.

Felicia: (Laughs)

Eric: You're so beautiful and so strong and such a passionate young girl.

Felicia: Nothing's changed.

Stephanie: Except the young part.

Felicia: (Laughs)

Eric: Yeah, well-- yeah. I'd never met anybody like you, I never had-- so graceful and so determined to have her own way. You remember what we used to attribute that to?

Stephanie: My Celtic blood.

All: (Laugh)

Eric: Your Celtic blood, yeah. Stephanie Douglas, my, uh, my willful Irish lass that I've had to put up with that willful Irish blood all these years, and today, I want to celebrate it. I want to celebrate what's at the core of, uh, of Stephanie and where she comes from. There will be no crying here today, no long faces.

Stephanie: Thank you. Thank you.

All: (Laugh)

Eric: No crying.. because the, uh, nothing's more beautiful than my Stephanie's eyes when they're happy.

(Playing intro to "When Irish Eyes are Smiling)

Eric: When Irish eyes are smiling, sure, 'tis like a morn in spring, in the lilt of Irish laughter, you can hear the angels sing. When Irish eyes are happy, all the world seems bright and gay, and when Irish eyes are smiling, sure, they steal your heart away

All: (Laughs)

(Indistinct conversation)

Stephanie: (Chuckles) Oh, your voice is still so wonderful.

Eric: Thank you. Thank you.

Stephanie: So this is what it is, an Irish theme?

Eric: That's a good guess.

(Glasses clink)

Stephanie: Oh, good. You know how much I love that song.

Eric: Well, that's my job today... (Irish accent) To keep your Irish eyes smiling.

Stephanie: (Chuckles)

Pam: Eric, we're ready.

Eric: (Normal voice) Okay, everybody gather round. Gather round, please find a seat if you can. Get comfortable here. Yeah, uh, you're about to witness another performance, something, uh, special for my beautiful Irish lass.

Thorne: So this is the surprise.

Eric: Yeah, well, this is part of it. Later on, we're gonna be dancing the night away-- everybody. There will be no exceptions.

Tony: And you're gonna like it.

Stephanie: Oh, right.

All: (Laugh)

Stephanie: (Coughs)

Eric: Help me welcome some wonderful beautiful ladies who have traveled a very long distance to be here today to help me express my love to my Stephanie. Stephanie, this is for you-- Celtic woman.

Stephanie: (Gasps)

All: Oh!

Stephanie: Oh God.

Taylor: Oh!

Stephanie: Oh!

Eric: How we doing?

Felicia: Oh, Daddy!

Thorne: I think you're something else, Dad.

Stephanie: Oh!

Celtic woman: So fill to me the parting glass, And drink a health whate'er befalls, Then gently rise and softly call, Goodnight and joy be to you all.

Lisa: Of all the comrades that e'er I had, They're sorry for my going away,

Chloe: And the sweethearts that e'er I had, They'd wish me one more day to stay.

Celtic woman: But it since it fell into my lot, That I should rise and you should not, I'll gently rise and softly call, Goodnight and joy be to you all. So fill to me the parting glass, And drink a health whate'er befalls, Then gently rise and softly call, Goodnight and joy be to you all.  (Humming) So fill to me the parting glass, And drink a health whate'er befalls, Then gently rise and softly call, Goodnight and joy be to you all. Goodnight and joy be to you all.

Stephanie: Thank you.
