Bill: Say you forgive me, Katie. We'll put all this behind us.

Katie: (Sighs) You keep playing God with everyone's lives-- with--with Hope, with Liam...

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: With--with my life, with our son's. I-I-I wish I could believe that you understood that--that what you did was wrong. I mean, you say you do, but... (Sighs) I don't know how to get past this. And Hope and Liam-- they lost each other because of you.

Bill: (Sighs)

Hope: Was I wrong? I mean, I-I just--I keep letting my principles get in the way, and it--and I'm just pushing Liam away from me.

Rick: Because you know deep down what will happen if you let him back in your life again.

Hope: Okay, but, Rick, I-I love him. I do. I love him. And--and we just-- we love each other.

Rick: Well, the love that you feel for the guy, it may always be there...

Hope: (Sighs)

Rick: But it is the trust issues, Hope.

Hope: (Sighs)

Rick: The--the guys says all the right things, but then the next minute, he's back with Steffy.

Hope: Yeah.

Rick: Hell, he's probably with her right now.

Steffy: Come with me.

Liam: Where?

Steffy: You'll see.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Katie: I mean, Bill, my God, you-- you blackmailed a warden to get Deacon out of jail...

Bill: (sighs)

Katie: So that he could, what, go to Italy and ruin Hope's wedding?

Bill: All right, Katie, please, stop. We don't need to get into this now. You've got to rest.

(Door opens)

Donna: I am back...

Katie: Oh, my God.

Donna: Bearing gifts! (Laughs) Oh, gosh!

Bill: Oh.

Katie: (Laughs)

Donna: Am I a klutz or what? Don't worry--nothing breakable.

Bill: What did you do, buy out the store?

Donna: Well... (Chuckles) You know, practically being, um, Will's favorite aunt and all... (Chuckles)

Katie: Oh, really? He has a favorite aunt already, huh?

Donna: Yep! Well... (Chuckles) You know, he has a lot of people who love him. (Chuckles) (Sighs) Okay. All right. The real reason that I came back to see you is, uh, 'cause I just want to check up on you, you know, to make sure you're okay. And--do you need anything? (Sighs)

Katie. No. I'm--I'm fine, really. You don't have to worry.

Donna: Katie, we... (Sighs) We almost lost you, Honey. We-- I just thank God that you and the baby are okay.

Katie: I know.

Bill: So do I.

Liam: These are olive trees...

Steffy: Yes, they are.

Liam: Which I know from being in Italy.

Steffy: Yeah, you do.

Liam: I-I know.

Steffy: (Laughs) Hey, um, do you have any change?

Liam: Change?

Steffy: Yes.

Liam: Like--like pocket change?

Steffy: Like coins-- change, yes, yes.

Liam: Is there a casino on the property? You want to play the slots? That's what you want to do?

Steffy: Oh, yeah, that's-- that's exactly what I have-- the wishing well, silly.

Liam: Well, um-oh! Yes, I do.

Steffy: Unless you think it's silly. Then we don't have to.

Liam: Oh, what, tossing pennies into a wishing well? No, why would I think that's silly?

Steffy: Okay, Buddy, you know, just for that, I could throw you in there.

Liam: I'm--no, I'm man, I'm kidding. I'm totally-- I'm--I'm into it. I'm--I'm so into it. Look. Here you are. Have--have a penny. There's a penny for you, for me. Let's do this.

Steffy: (Hums)

Liam: (Sighs)

(Pennies plop in water)

Steffy: What did you wish for?

Liam: What did you wish for?

Steffy: It's already coming true. It's all in the timing.

Liam: What is?

Steffy: Knowing when the fruit is ripe enough to pick which is the sweetest or the best.

Liam: You've spent some time studying orange trees, have you?

Steffy: Nature has a lot to teach us.

Liam: Oh, yeah?

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Liam: Like what?

Steffy: That sometimes you have to go through a few sour ones to really find that special, delicious, delectable--

Liam: Okay, I know where you're going.

Steffy: Okay, I am just saying that once you find that one...

Liam: (sighs)

Steffy: Ripe delicious one... you want to enjoy every last drop.

Hope: (Sighs) Liam came to me, and he bared his heart. And what did I do?

Rick: You stood up for yourself.

Hope: (Sighs)

Rick: You showed strength and self-respect. He may say that he's sorry, but he's always gonna have feelings for Steffy.

Hope: (Sighs)

Rick: She's always gonna be there between you and Liam.

Hope: Not if I don't let her.

Liam: Ah, yes, my favorite part of the property-- the, uh, Gettysburg Battlefield.

Steffy: (Laughs) It's beautiful.

Liam: Uh, every time I come here, I'm like--I feel like this is, like, the White House lawn. I mean, why--why do we even go to the airport for the Forrester jet? You could just have it land right here.

Steffy: This is a workout.

Liam: I know.

Steffy: What's with me and my heels?

Liam: It's a lot of property.

Steffy: (Laughs)

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: Wait, Dude.

Liam: What?

(Water rushing)

Steffy: What's that sound? What is that?

Liam: I don't--what sound?

Steffy: Aah!

Liam: Oh! Oh!

Steffy: Run! Oh, no!

Liam: Aah! Run! No!

Steffy: No, no, no! Not in my heels!

(Shouting indistinctly)

Steffy: (Shouting indistinctly)

Liam: (Grunts) (Laughs) Yeah, yeah, yeah. This way! No! Other way, other way, other way. No, no. Go. Go.

Liam: (Sighs)

Bill: Please tell me you didn't buy Will any frilly girly outfits.

Donna: (Sighs) Don't worry, Dad. I bought him plenty of toy trucks and brandy. Oh, and I threw in a couple of girly magazines, too.

Bill: Oh, now we're talking.

Will: (Fusses)

Katie: Oh, these are cute.

Donna: Oh, yeah. Yeah.

Bill: Oh, I think he's ready for some of that brandy.

Will: (Crying)

Donna: Or a big juicy kiss from Auntie Donna? Yeah?

Katie: Oh. Well, go. Go ahead. This all can wait.

Donna: Okay. Okay. (Giggles)

Bill: Uh, I'll go and, uh, check on Will.

Katie: Okay.

Will: (Crying)

Donna: Sounds like somebody's awake. Hello. Aw, hey, Sweetie.

Will: (Crying softens)

Donna: It's Auntie Donna. Hi, Baby.

Bill: He's a good-looking kid, huh?

Donna: You know, I-I swear he--he just smiled at me. (Chuckles)

Bill: I suppose he's enjoying spending quality time with his favorite Aunt Donna.

Donna: (Chuckles)

Bill: Well, I'll leave you two alone and go back to Katie.

Donna: Okay.

Will: (Fusses)

Donna: Just a cute little thing. So precious.

Woman: Looks good.

Katie: Thanks. (Sighs)

Bill: Well, that kid's already got your sister wrapped around his finger. Can I get you anything?

Katie: How about the truth?

Bill: You know everything, Katie.

Katie: Just like I knew about Cabo and the fake shoot and breaking Deacon Sharpe out of prison? You... (Sighs) You hid everything from me because you knew-- you knew how appalled I would be. But worse than that, you... you ignored me, like I-I didn't even matter. When I--when I asked you to stop doing these things, you just ignored it. You hurt Hope, and you ignored it.

Steffy: (Laughs)

Liam: Whoa! Aah!

Steffy: Oh, my God. We're soaked!

Liam: I know.

Steffy: This reminds me of Phoebe, Thomas, and I when we were kids. I mean, we used to run through the sprinklers until we almost soaked. (Laughs)

Liam: I wish I knew you then.

Steffy: Oh no, you don't. I was a total brat.

Liam: Yeah, but probably a cute brat. So what's this secret place you're taking me to?

Steffy: Uh... it's a little further. Come on, Hansel. Follow Gretel. Come on.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: What-- what are you doing?

Liam: Well, it's an enchanted forest, Gretel. We don't want to get lost, do we?

Steffy: (Laughs) Ah. Ah. Ta-da. (Laughs)

Bill: Katie, be careful Donna could overhear.

Katie: I can't just sweep this under the rug. Hope has to know. What you did-- it was very wrong.

Bill: And I regret it.

Katie: (Sighs) You can't just say that you're sorry and have it all be okay.

Bill: What are you doing?

Katie: I'm calling Hope. (Sighs)

Bill: You can't do that.

Katie: When you got Deacon out of jail, you set off a chain of events. Hope and Liam are not together right now because of you and Deacon. Now I know that you think that you were protecting your son, however misguided that may be, but you went far as you always do. And it scares me, Bill, how controlling you can be.

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: And how you bully Liam-- I-I don't want that for our son.

Bill: Will is a newborn. Liam came to me as an adult. I didn't know how to be a father. Katie, if this comes out I will lose him. It will tear our family apart. I don't want that for our sons, and I don't want it for us.

Katie: I don't want it for us, either. But--but I-I can't do this-- the lies and the manipulations. And I'm just supposed to go along with it. I'm supposed to just keep this secret.

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: I should be happy right now. I should be celebrating being a new mother. But I-I can't, because of what you've done.

Hope: (Sighs) Rick, our--our problems did not begin and end with Steffy, though. I mean, there were other forces at work. There were other people.

Rick: Yeah, like-- like Bill Spencer.

Hope: But you know, there are other things. There are other things-- bizarre things-- that I still don't really understand. (Sighs)

Rick: Yeah? Like what?

Hope: Like... like Liam keeps denying that anything happened between him and Steffy at that club but we--we both know that Othello saw them together. (Sighs) He--he wouldn't lie about that, would he?

(Knock on door)

Othello: (Sighs) I want to speak to Hope. Look, there's something you need to know.

Rick: This is Rick Forrester. She is? Right now? I'll send her right away.

Hope: Oh, where are you sending me?

Rick: Thorne will explain. He's down in the press room right now.

Hope: Okay.

Rick: Othello and I will catch up in the meantime, hmm?

Hope: Okay.

Rick: What the hell are you doing?

Othello: Look, Hope needs to know the truth. Steffy and Liam didn't make out that night. It's a lie, Rick. We lied. She needs to know the truth.

Liam: You've got to be kidding me.

Steffy: (Laughs) I know.

Liam: No way.

Steffy: Come on. (Laughs)

Liam: (Scoffs) Whoa! I-I didn't even know this place existed.

Steffy: Very few people do. Sometimes it's just good to get away from everything.

Liam: Everyone.

Steffy: Not everyone. Not you. I may be pushing my luck here, but I'm just gonna say it anyway. Liam Spencer, I have never stopped loving you. I'm not-- I'm not trying to pressure you in any way. I know you can't turn off your feelings for Hope. But I can see something. There's been change.

Liam: You know, you... you have supported me every step of the way, and you've put my happiness above your own, and you, um-and you even understood my feelings better than I did. (Chuckles) And I think you're incredible.

Steffy: I'm always gonna support you, Liam. I'm always gonna be there for you.

Donna: What's-- what's going on here? What did you do, Bill?

Katie: The wedding that Brooke planned in Italy, the one she worked so hard on, well, there was something she didn't plan on. She didn't plan on Deacon Sharpe showing up out of the blue...

Bill: Katie.

Katie: Only he didn't show up out of the blue, because you made sure he was there.

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: Bill didn't want Hope and Liam to get married, and so he went to extraordinary lengths to make sure that they didn't. Tell her. Tell her how you strong-armed the warden to get Deacon out of jail. Tell her how you flew him to Italy for the sole purpose of making sure that Hope and Liam broke up. The letter, the misunderstanding-- everything that led to Steffy and Liam being together-- that was all you’re doing, my husband whom I love.

Donna: Hope and Liam need to know this. And I-I'm gonna go tell them.

Bill: You can't do that, Donna.

Donna: Don't touch me. Get your hands off me! They deserve to know the truth. They have been a victim of yours for too damn long. I just hope it's not too late.

(Door opens)
