Liam: Hope, not this time, not again. I-I came here to get married. We're getting married today, just like we promised. I know you want that, too. I know you love me.

Brooke: Let's step out into the garden and give them a moment.

Stephanie: No, this whole situation is ridiculous. No one is walking out of the house.

Liam: Hope, this-- think of all of the things we've said, right? I mean, last night was nothing. It was nothing. And we have--we have the rest of our lives. And things can-- we can go back to normal if you just--just, you know, let it.

Steffy: You should go. I'm--I'm fine.

Taylor: I'm not in a hurry. I'm just, um...

Steffy: Yeah, I know. Their--their wedding probably started by now. I won't fall apart, Mom.

Taylor: That's not why I'm here.

Steffy: Why is it that everyone wants to think love has to hurt or it's--it's not love? (Sighs) It's like sometimes I think I should have played harder to get. But I don't want to do that anymore. I don't want to fake anything.  Loving Liam has made me the woman I have always, always wanted to be. Just in time to lose him.

Liam: I'm sorry! How--how many times, how many different ways can I say that to you? (Sighs)

Bill: Liam, what the hell are you doing?

Liam: Come on. This--this is our day, babe. I mean, look. Just look around. Everything's all nice and--and set up. (Chuckles) You--you have to forgive me, right?

Hope: And what good would that do, Liam?

Liam: I made a mistake.

Hope: Then why does it keep happening?

Liam: I don't know! I-I don't know. I didn't cheat on you.

Hope: If I am not around, I'm completely forgotten.

Liam: No, that's not-- that is not true. I think about you all the time when you're not around.

Hope: You forget who I am to you. You forget all your promises.

Liam: No, how can you say that? I'm--I'm--I'm standing here. I-I love you. Nothing has changed!

Hope: The way you love me isn't good enough.

Liam: (Sighs) Well, I came here to get married today, right now.

Hope: How many weddings is it going to take before we face facts? You are not ready to be a husband.

Liam: Yes, I am. Yes.

Hope: Not mine. You have no respect for me, or you would never have been with Steffy.

Crowd: (Murmuring)

Katie: I knew it.

Stephanie: Well, uh, thanks, everybody, for coming. Apparently, there's not gonna be a wedding today.

Liam: Yes, there will. Yes, there--yes, there will.

Bill: Liam, let's go.

Liam: I am not leaving until you say you'll marry me, okay? So just... (breathing heavily)

Ridge: Liam.

Liam: It's--it's not me. It's her, right?

Ridge: Come on.

Liam: I mean, you're gonna-- you're just gonna--you're gonna talk some sense into her, right?

Ridge: Come here.

Liam: I mean, you guys can have, like, a conversation, 'cause you're--I feel--

Ridge: Have you looked at yourself?

Liam: Yeah.

Ridge: Is this how a man in love shows up for his own wedding?

Taylor: Well, you're quiet all of a sudden.

Steffy: I think pretty highly of myself, in case you haven't noticed. I just don't think I'm ambitious anymore, if that's even a requirement.

Taylor: Being ambitious? No, not necessarily.

Steffy: The one thing I-I think I'm really good at is living, you know, making a-a fun day out of a blah day or just staying interested, you know, in--in different places, different experiences, different people.

Taylor: (Chuckles) Well, that's a pretty good self-assessment.

Steffy: Yeah.

Taylor: That's what gives you your Steffy charm. Why?

Steffy: I'm wondering what my next big thing is. I'm too young not to have one, right?

Bill: Enough, Liam. I'm taking you home.

Hope: You're making a fool out of yourself.

Liam: Am I a fool for loving you? Am I a fool for believing, with all of my heart, that we belong together?

Hope: I used to believe that, too.

Liam: You still can. You still can. Just--just come down. Just come down. I--you'll see. Just--

Hope: (Sighs) No, Liam, no. I've seen enough.

Liam: I'm not taking "no" for an answer, Hope.

Hope: I am not a doormat! The night before our wedding, where are you? You're out with Steffy, and I am just supposed to accept that? Did you do it deliberately to hurt me?

Liam: No.

Hope: Then to remind me that, what, if I don't do what you want when you want, you've got somebody else who will?

Liam: No. No. Not--nothing even happened. I mean, I was just--I was just having a little fun is all. I didn't do anything wrong.

Katie: Are you listening to yourself?

Rick: You've gone off the rails, buddy. It's time for you to go.

Liam: I am not leaving until you come down here.  Yes. Yes. Oh, thank you. Oh, God. Oh. (Sighs) Thank you. I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. I never meant to hurt you. I just want to be your husband, you know? I just--I want to be-- I'll be whoever you want me to be. Just let me hear you say that you forgive me, that you love me. Just--just say that you love me.

Hope: I do love you, Liam.

Liam: Oh, yes.

Hope: (Sniffles) But you don't deserve me. I think you should go.

Marcus: Come on.

Hope: (Sniffles) (Sobs)

Eric: Hope, what do you need?

Hope: I'm okay.

Pam: Sweetheart, maybe you should come sit down.

Brooke: She's okay.

Caroline: Pamela, I bet you need help in the kitchen squaring everything away.

Pam: Oh, that's a good idea.

Caroline: I am so sorry. If you want to talk...

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Caroline: Okay.

Thomas: (Sighs)

Bill: Where is he?

Katie: Excuse me.

Marcus: He's calling a cab.

Bill: The hell he is.

Marcus: Dayzee, babe, you ready to go?

Stephanie: Bye.

Dayzee: Bye.

Rick: Here, let me, uh, let me take you home.

Hope: Mm. I've got a bunch of stuff upstairs.

Stephanie: Honey, there's no reason to rush off. He's not coming back.

Thorne: Listen, Hope, if you want to get away... I love you.

Hope: Mm-hmm. (Sighs) I am so sorry that all of this happened in your home.

Stephanie: No.

Eric: No, there's nothing for you to be sorry about.

Hope: I just--yeah, I-I didn't, you know, I didn't know.

Stephanie: Sweetheart. Sweetheart, you made the right decision, although there's very little comfort even in knowing that.

Ridge: Why don't you let your mother and I take you home?

Hope: No, I've got my car.

Ridge: At least let me pack up all your stuff upstairs.

Hope: Thanks.

Ridge: Okay.

Brooke: Honey.

Hope: (Inhales sharply)

Brooke: How are you really?

Hope: (Sobs)

Brooke: I'm--I'm so sorry.

Hope: No. (Sighs) I just... (Sniffles) you know, I just--I just didn't expect it to... end like this. (Sobs)

Brooke: (Sighs) It doesn't have to be the end if you don't want it to be.

(Door opens)

Katie: Is this how you treat someone you love, someone that you were supposed to marry today?

Liam: "Hey, Liam, how are you? Oh, I'm fine, Katie. Thanks." I had a special night planned for Hope, okay? And she stood me up. She blew me off. I didn't know why--

Katie: Oh, oh, oh, I'm sorry. So you had your feelings hurt. So that's why you spent the night with Steffy.

Liam: That is not what happened.

Katie: I don't care if you spent the night in separate isolation chambers. I don't get how you don't get how disrespectful and hurtful this is to Hope.

Liam: Uh, yeah, thank you, Katie. I believe she mentioned that.

Katie: Uh, where the hell is this attitude coming from? You can't treat women like this. This is not okay.

Liam: I don't--I don't know. I made a mistake.

Katie: This is more than just a mistake, Liam. You are messing with the emotions of two women.

Liam: (Sighs)

Katie: You are pitting them against each other, pitting their families against each other. I don't know what the hell is going on with you, but you better check yourself. I'll get a ride home with Brooke.

Liam: (Sighs) I'm sure you're sorely disappointed with me, too.

Bill: Want to get that crap off your hair and neck?

Liam: Yeah. (Sighs)

Bill: (Sighs)

Liam: It's--I'm-- it's gonna take a while. Sorry.

Bill: Busy calendar? More important things to do?

Liam: You know, I lost the one thing I ever really wanted for myself today-- I mean, not because you wanted it for me or because it would make me rich or help me get ahead in life, but because I wanted it. I was the loneliest guy that ever was. I didn't know my father. My mother worked like a dog. I really didn't see her until she died. And then money went with her. My life became about, you know, making rent and saving up to buy shoes and finding a job and losing a job and finding another job. It felt like digging... until I found you. You know, with the help of this--this incredible woman, you and I became close. You know, and suddenly, I felt like there was this-- this angel in my life, somebody who loved me for me, who saw things in me that I didn't see in myself. Every--every piece of happiness in this world was waiting for me. That's why I have to have her back, Dad.

Bill: Why? It never lasts long when you do.

Liam: (Scoffs) Well, then I'll keep on trying.

Bill: No, Liam.

Liam: (Grunts) Dad, I will apologize a thousand times if I have to. I'll get on my knees and beg.

Bill: The hell you will. No son of mine is going to go begging for crumbs.

Hope: You don't think I did the right thing?

Brooke: (Sighs) That's for you to judge and nobody else.

Katie: I am behind you 100%. I mean, spending the night with another woman the night before his wedding-- I never would have tolerated anything like that.

Brooke: It just seems so unlike Liam. I can't help wondering if...

Hope: Wondering what?

Brooke: If what you felt and saw today is exactly what Steffy wanted you to feel and see.

Liam: Get out of my way, Dad.

Bill: You're in your own way.

Liam: (Scoffs) I just want my life back.

Bill: Then remember who you are. Your life, your name-- those are things that no woman can take away from you. Was I disappointed in you? I was revolted. My son, my own flesh and blood dancing around in his underpants with your little Halloween hairdo and your skater tattoo begging--actually begging on your knees-- for that neurotic collection of losers to forgive you.

Liam: Well, I'm sorry about your wounded pride, but that's not my problem.

Bill: Pride? Pride? (Chuckles) No. It sure as hell isn't your problem. Maybe we should put up flyers, post it on milk cartons-- "Missing--Liam's pride." What the hell happened to you? What happened to the guy who told me to go screw myself because I wasn't worthy of being his father?

Liam: You know what? Your opinion is not nearly as important to me as you seem to think it should be.

Bill: Just as well, because my opinion is that you are pathetic. I am embarrassed to look at you, to think what you would allow that--that emotional black hole of a girlfriend to put you through. She moves in, and you're dancing on air. She moves out, and you can't eat, you can't sleep. You're catatonic. She's supposed to be your blushing bride, but she has no problem disrespecting you in front of the world. Well, let me tell you something. I am not gonna put up with it, not for one moment longer. You want love, Liam? Then learn how to love yourself, because that is what is gonna get you through, not some little girl who is terrified of life, not to mention her own body.

Liam: I don't want to be you! I don't want to be as sad and lonely and arrogant as worshipping at the altar of yourself seems to have made you! I messed up, and I'm actually not too proud to admit that. (Breathing heavily)

Bill: Well, bully for you, "Mr. Boy Scout." We'll give you a merit badge, and we'll stick it on your chest. So you went out and had a few drinks. You got stupid, like drunk guys get stupid. You let that girl humiliate you in front of both of your families? You know what? You're right. I like myself. I love myself. I am not ashamed of who I am. So who made you ashamed of who you are? Not me!

Liam: Don't. Don't.

Bill: Why shouldn't I? You're not gonna fight back. Hope's called you worse. "You're selfish. You're thoughtless." You're just a bad, bad, naughty little boy.

Liam: I'm warning you.

Bill: You're warning me, really? Please. You're not gonna stand up for yourself. That's been proven how many times? Hell, I could walk out on you. I can walk all over you. And what are you gonna do? Apologize, beg me for your forgiveness on your pant-less knees.

Liam: (Grunting)

Bill: That's it. That's it. You are a Spencer. Start acting like one.

Liam: (Growls)

Bill: We do not beg. We take.

Liam: (Groans)

Bill: So long to Liam the beggar.

Liam: (Grunting)

Bill: You are Liam the conqueror. Do you hear me?

Liam: I hear you.

Bill: Do you hear me?

Liam: I hear you! I hear you! I hear you! (Sobs)

Bill: Nobody judges us. Nobody judges you. Do you understand me?

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: Hi. Yes. Um, I would like a nice arrangement to be delivered. Great. Yeah, yeah. That actually sounds lovely. It's actually, um, two friends of mine who are, uh, who are getting married. Yeah, actually, I-I would love that. Thank you. Yes. I... can-- I'm gonna--I'm gonna have to call you back. Okay. Okay. All right. Bye. Hope, shouldn't you be--

Hope: Dancing at my wedding reception? Yes, I should. Except there was no wedding. Isn't that what you wanted?
