Hope: This is your big chance, Steffy. You want Liam, you got him.

Steffy: You're overreacting. You're testing me. You're--you're teasing me.

Hope: No. No tease. No test. I am offering you what you've wanted so badly-- my husband. Go on. Take it.

Liam: (Sighs) I'm not giving up on Hope and me. We've been through too much to get where we are.

Brooke: Yes.

Liam: But... (Scoffs) How do I reach her? I mean, she-- she tore up our marriage papers. She hates our wedding day now. All she can think about is what happened between Steffy and me in that hotel room.

Brooke: She's hurting, Liam. It doesn't mean she stopped loving you. It doesn't work that way.

Liam: Yeah, well... even if she does still love me, it doesn't mean we can stay together.

Dayzee: I don't think I've ever had a proper appreciation for powerful friends. For a while there, it looked like your bond hearing wasn't even gonna happen tonight.

Marcus: (Sighs) Well, thanks to my dad and Bill, I get to go home to my bride.

Dayzee: Mm. Bless both their hearts, and Justin, too. He's hasn't stopped hustling since you called him.

Marcus: It is driving me crazy not being able to touch you.

Dayzee: We'll make up for that when you come home.

Marcus: Oh, yeah.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Caroline: You know...

Thomas: (Sighs)

Caroline: I wish we could keep it up.

Thomas: Mm. We gotta go pick up Marcus's car.

Caroline: (Inhales sharply) (Groans)

Thomas: (Sighs)

Caroline: Come on. It's the least that we can do for him right now.

Thomas: Yeah, I know. One day we're celebrating Marcus and Dayzee's wedding, and the next, he's arrested, all because of one terrible mistake.

Caroline: Texting and driving. And thank God Anthony's gonna be okay. I mean, it could have been a lot worse.

Thomas: I know. It just means we have to take advantage of every moment.

Caroline: Mm-hmm. Do you think Marcus is gonna go to jail?

Thomas: He might. He straight-out admitted it to Lieutenant Baker that he was texting and driving. Just like he said-- it's a criminal matter now.

Caroline: Marcus, a criminal? No. No way.

Thomas: It's just one bad judgment call. That's all it takes.

Caroline: Where are we going?

Thomas: Auto shop on Santa Monica. The cops impounded Marcus's car for their investigation, but when they released it, Granddad took it in for repairs.

Caroline: Hmm. Well, the sooner we go, the sooner we can get back to whatever.

Thomas: Yeah.

Caroline: Mm-hmm. (Giggles)

Thomas: Come on.

Dayzee: I am putting my faith in Justin, Bill, and Eric. Watch. I bet right when you get to the judge's stand, you're gonna be able to convince him to let you go right on the spot.

Marcus: My beautiful dreamer.

Dayzee: Well, you're a very persuasive guy. I mean, you got me to marry you.

Marcus: That, I did.

Dayzee: (Chuckles) Well, there you go.

Brooke: Hope really gave you the impression that she wanted to end your marriage?

Liam: I'd say tearing up the papers was a pretty big statement.

Brooke: She's hurt, and she's disillusioned, and she's not sure if she knows the man she married.

Liam: (Sighs) Okay. I deserve that. I just--I jumped to the wrong conclusion, you know? I... and I know the mistake I made. I didn't ask why. Why would Hope dump me on her wedding day, especially when she was so damn happy about it but I saw that note, and I just--I-- I don't know. I lost it. And it was like, "Oh, my God, this happened before. Now it's happening again." And I just-- I couldn't think straight. I couldn't be rational. So I turned to Steffy, and I asked her to start up again. It was so stupid. But this is why I didn't want to tell Hope-- because I didn't want to hurt her. And then there's Steffy, who's just along for the ride, and now she's hurt, too- awesome.

Steffy: Don't want your ring.

Hope: Really? You didn't have a problem wearing it before.

Steffy: I don't want to take your husband.

Hope: (Scoffs) Oh, yeah, I buy that.

Steffy: Look, I get you're mad at me, and I don't blame you, but don't trash your whole life because your wedding day wasn't perfect. Life's gonna throw you curveballs. You're gonna dodge them. You're gonna catch them. But you just gotta keep on moving. You really gotta get better at adversity.

Hope: Adversity?

Steffy: Mm-hmm.

Hope: Oh, my God, are you kidding me, Steffy? Adversity is when your break your arm. Adversity is when you lose your job. This is betrayal between my husband and my stepsister, who apparently cannot keep their hands off each other, even on my wedding day.

Steffy: Look, I-I don't mean to sound harsh or anything, but, um, get over it.

Hope: (Scoffs)

Steffy: What happened between Liam and me will only affect you if you let it.

Hope: I really wish that I could flip off things like fidelity and loyalty. It'd be a lot easier. But I'm not made that way. Because without things like morals and standards, you have nothing.

Steffy: You have both, and you have Liam.

Hope: I don't want him.

Marcus: I don't want to go to jail, Dayzee.

Dayzee: Why are you so convinced that you will?

Marcus: You see, texting while has been a huge safety hazard. People who are addicted to their phones, like me-- I mean, people get so caught up in what they're doing and not paying attention, and that's how people get hurt, like Anthony. I could have killed him, Dayzee. I could have killed Anthony.

Man: Thank you. (Clears throat)

(Bell rings)

Thomas: Sorry. We're here to pick up Marcus Forrester's car.

Man: A vehicle versus pedestrian, right?

Thomas: Yeah.

Man: Yeah, well, we only got the car a couple of hours ago. It's--it's not ready yet.

Thomas: Should we wait?

Caroline: Uh, how long is it gonna be?

Man: Uh, not too. It's, uh, nothing serious-- flat tire, busted rim. Uh, I should be able to get it to you two hours, tops.

Thomas: Go back. That's--that's all the damage?

Man: According to the intake papers.

Thomas: It seems strange.

Caroline: It's very strange.

Steffy: Okay. You're upset. I know, and--and I get that. But let's just look at it objectively. You didn't show up at the chapel. No one knew that Deacon showed up. And then Liam went looking for you. He went back to his hotel, and he sees this note that says "Good-bye." What is he supposed to think?

Hope: How about, "Wow, this is weird. Maybe I should find Hope and find out what happened"?

Steffy: In a perfect world. But we don't live in a perfect world. People make mistakes. But Liam loves you. He married you. (Sighs) I saw you... when you came into Liam's hotel room. Uh, I-I was there and--

Hope: I know. In the bathroom-- Liam told me. You stood there and watched him lie to me. You stood there... (Scoffs) Fresh from rolling around in bed with him and let me believe it was me Liam wanted.

Steffy: He's always wanted you. In that moment, I realized it. And when you left, I told him to go after you. I told him to marry you. We know you did it.

Hope: You told Liam to marry me?

Steffy: I didn't want this whole misunderstanding, this mistake to--to ruin your life.

Hope: Wow.

Steffy: It was the hardest thing I've ever done. Please don't let it be for nothing. Go back to your husband. Forgive him. And put that ring on your finger.

Hope: Steffy, you were in Italy because I invited you, because after everything we'd been through, after all the times you tried to steal Liam from me, I wanted to be close again. I wanted to be sisters again. I was willing to start over because I loved you. But you know what? I don't anymore. I don't love you, Steffy. I hate you.

Thomas: Look, are you sure we're talking about the same car here?

Caroline: Marcus Forrester's.

Man: 2011 silver S.U.V., right?

Caroline: Yeah, that's it.

Man: Is there a problem?

Thomas: Some-- something's off here.

Caroline: Yeah, because there was an accident.

Thomas: Right.

Caroline: Somebody was hit.

Thomas: It just seems like there should be a little more damage than a broken rim and a flat tire. Is there, like, a busted grill?

Man: I don't know what to tell you. This is all I've got.

Thomas: Okay. That's fine. Uh, just give me a call when the car is ready. We'll--we'll just come back.

Man: Will do.

Thomas: What do you make of it?

(Door closes)

Caroline: I don't know, but something's definitely off.

(Bell rings)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: Hope saw the video?

Brooke: Unfortunately.

Katie: Oh, she's gotta be devastated.

Brooke: And there's something else. The marriage isn't valid in the United States, and they have to make it official in front of a justice of the peace. And now... (Sighs) Hope doesn't want to. She tore up the marriage papers, and she walked out on Liam.

Katie: For good?

Hope: I don't know.

Katie: Honey.

(Cell phone alert chimes)

(Cell phone alert chimes)

Liam: Hey.

Steffy: You all right?

Liam: I've been better.

Steffy: I, uh, I just saw Hope.

Liam: When?

Steffy: She, uh, just left my office.

Liam: Well, I don't imagine that was very fun.

Steffy: Well, you know, she hates me. (Chuckles)

Liam: No... (Sighs) Steffy, no, she doesn't.

Steffy: No, it--it's okay. It really is. I'd rather her hate me than break up with you.

Liam: It might be too late.

Steffy: I know. Yeah, she, uh, she told me that she walked out on you, and I told her that she was overreacting and that she should go back with her husband.

Liam: You did that?

Steffy: Yeah, I just... (Inhales sharply) I don't know. Maybe Hope forgot or maybe she just-- maybe she doesn't even know, but there's just so many people who are friends and family who love her. I mean, she's got a great career. She has fans who look up to her. You know she has you. She has a great guy. She'd be a fool to let you go, and I told her that.

Liam: You are really something. Thank you.

Steffy: I just want you to be happy.

Katie: So Brooke just... (Sighs) Filled me in on everything that's going on.

Hope: Some of it, you already knew.

Katie: Yeah, I didn't think it was my place to tell you about Liam and Steffy.

Brooke: Actually, I swore Katie to secrecy, so if you want to be angry with somebody--

Hope: No, I'm not-- I'm not angry. I'm... I don't know what I'm feeling. I've never had so many emotions collide. I saw Steffy.

Brooke: How did that go?

Hope: I think I shocked her.

Katie: How?

Hope: I took off my wedding ring, told her to take it-- Liam, too.

Brooke: What?

Hope: See, shocked you, too.

Brooke: Honey, I know you're hurting right now, but you can't just hand Liam over to Steffy.

Katie: He loves you. He does.

Hope: Does he? You saw the video.

Katie: He was rebounding. He thought that you had left him.

Hope: Oh, God. You know, I am so sick of hearing that. He should have had some faith in me.

Brooke: You have to allow people you love to be wrong on occasion.

Katie: Listen, no one knows about loving a flawed man more than I do. There have been times when I have wanted to walk away from Bill and never look back. But we've worked it out, and I'm glad we have.

Brooke: Honey, give yourself and Liam that same chance. Go home and talk to your husband.

Hope: (Sighs) Okay. Okay. I will.

Katie: Good. Good luck, Honey.

Katie: (Sighs)

Thomas: It just doesn't make sense.

Caroline: I know. I mean, if a car hits a person, it would usually be so much more damage that just-- (Thump)

Thomas: What the...

Caroline: Did we hit something?

Thomas: I don't know. Hold on.

Thomas: (Scoffs) We hit a pothole.

Caroline: How bad is it?

Thomas: Well... a flat tire and... (Sniffles) Busted rim.

(Door closes)

Liam: I'm glad you're home.

Hope: I was with Steffy.

Liam: I know. She called.

Hope: Of course she did.

Liam: She's just concerned about you. I'm sorry for what I put us through. I mean, we... (Scoffs) We just got married. We should be... newlyweds.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: But we are married, Hope. I don't care what those papers say. We looked into each other's eyes, and we promised to stay together, to work through anything, till death do us part, remember? You are my wife. I'm not giving you up. . .
