Minister: Speak now or forever hold your peace.

Caroline: You need to speak to Marcus?

Lt. Baker: It's important.

Caroline: Uh, okay. It's just--he's kind of in the middle of getting married. It's kind of a bad time, whatever it is.

Minister: I ask you both in the presence of God if either of you know of any reason why you should not be married to this man...

Charlie: Pop, we could come back.

Minister: To now confess it.

Lt. Baker: Yeah, tell him I'll be in touch.

Minister: There, got that business out of the way.

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Minister: Not that I'd hear any objections anyway, because anyone can see that these two are meant to be. Marcus and Dayzee asked me to keep things light, a little informal-- more laughter, less tears.

Dayzee: Yes.

Minister: Is that what you said?

Dayzee: It was. I think this is gonna be tougher than I thought. (Clears throat)

Minister: I've had the pleasure of meeting with Marcus and Dayzee over the course of their engagement. I look forward to seeing them grow into their marriage, become a family. You know, I've been at this a while, ministering to couples old and young as they embark upon the joyful but tough task of making a life together. And I've gotten pretty good at recognizing which couples will succeed. These two will...

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Minister: That is if Marcus can learn to put his cell phone down and actually speak to his bride every now and then.

All: (Laughing)

Minister: By being here today, I'm asking you to be more than a witness. Marcus and Dayzee may be the ones saying vows, but we all commit to their marriage. Will you pledge to stand by Marcus and Dayzee, showering them with love and counsel and giving them all of your blessings? If so, say "We will."

All: We will.

Minister: See? Told you they'd agree.

Dayzee: Yes.

All: (Laughing)

Lt. Baker: 27 seconds...

Charlie: Mm-hmm.

Lt. Baker: That's all the time that passed between Marcus's last text and his call to 9-1-1.

Charlie: He was texting while he was driving, no doubt.

Lt. Baker: And Anthony Walker's in the hospital because of it.

Charlie: Mm-hmm.

Dr. Meade: Lieutenant Baker, you got my message?

Lt. Baker: Yeah. Mr. Walker's ready to answer a few questions?

Dr. Meade: I think so.

Lt. Baker: Good we're eager to speak with him. Let's go.

Justin: "And the greatest of these is love." Love you, Son.

Marcus: Thanks, Pop.

Minister: Thank you, Justin. Marcus, Dayzee, as your minister, I can officiate, bless your union. The state of California can say it's legal. But the truth of what binds you to one another, the core of what makes you married is the vows you say now. Look into each other's eyes, swear to be honest and true, dedicated to the commitment, no matter what life brings. Please join hands.

Marcus: (Sighs)

Dayzee: (Whispers) Thanks.

Minister: Dayzee...

Dayzee: (Normal voice) Yeah?

Minister: Ready?

Dayzee: Yeah. Where I was a year ago, thinking about having a man to love and to settle down with was not the highest priority on my list. (Chuckles) And when I thought of my future, I never thought... but now I never want to imagine it without you or without your beautiful daughter, because Rosey is a part of us, too, and I'm committing myself to her just as much as I am to you. You're my best friend and the sweetest, most genuine man. And if I'm ever feeling down, I know that I can just look at that expression on your face... (Chuckles) That one right there... (Laughs)

Marcus: (Laughs)

Dayzee: And it's gonna make everything okay. Knowing that you'll be holding my hand like this through everything and knowing that I get to look at your gorgeous smile every day... (Sighs) It just makes me so happy and brings so much joy. And I am so excited for what's to come.

Marcus: (Sighs)

Minister: Marcus?

Marcus: Hmm?

Dayzee: (Laughs)

Marcus: Oh. Well, uh... (Sighs) When I came to Los Angeles to find my mom, I didn't know what to expect if I stayed. Well, I thank God that I did. This family that I found-- my mom, my aunties, two fathers-- has brought me to you, to this place, this very moment. Now you said that you're excited about what's ahead. (Sighs) And, Girl, I'm on cloud nine.

Dayzee: (Laughs)

All: (Laughing)

Marcus: Dayzee, you inspire me like no one ever has-- your energy, your desire to make a difference in this world. It makes me crazy to think there was a time I didn't even know you. All I can say is that, if I hadn't met you, I wouldn't have that fire, that burning passion in my heart that I feel right now. Thank you for opening my eyes to make me a better person. Thank you for putting up with my faults and all. Now I'm gonna make mistakes...

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Marcus: Like dragging my feet on setting this wedding.

All: (Laughing)

Marcus: But you put me straight, Girl, only like you know how. Keep doing that for me. When I mess up, kiss me, forgive me, and steer me in the right direction. Now if I provide the smiles and you provide the inspiration, I think we'll be just fine.

Dayzee: I know we will.

Marcus: You're damn right. (Chuckles)

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Minister: May I have the rings? The ring is a symbol of eternity. These rings will forever remind Marcus and Dayzee of their sacred vows.

Dayzee: I give you this ring as a symbol of my love and faithfulness.

Marcus: I give you this ring for my love and my faithfulness.

Dayzee: (Sniffles)

Minister: By the giving of these rings and the saying of vows in front of God, family, and friends, Dayzee and Marcus have found themselves together as husband and wife.

Marcus: (Chuckles)

Dayzee: Yes. (Giggles)

Minister: You may kiss your bride.

Justin: (Whistles)

Anthony: The guy who brought me in here...

Lt. Baker: Mm-hmm.

Anthony: Probably saved my life. He's getting married to one of my best friends today.

Charlie: Are we talking about Marcus Forrester?

Anthony: I'm so grateful to him. You said Marcus is the one who called the ambulance?

Dr. Meade: That's right.

(Cell phone vibrates)

Dr. Meade: (Sighs) If you'll excuse me. You can ask him questions, but don't wear him out, okay?

Lt. Baker: Understood.

Dr. Meade: I'll be back to check on you.

Anthony: Thank you, Dr. Meade. They're taking good care of me.

Lt. Baker: Yeah, I see that. Do you remember being hit?

Anthony: No, Sir. One moment, I'm crossing the street, and the next, I wake up here with Marcus by my side.

Lt. Baker: (Sighs) Yeah. That's because... he hit you.

Anthony: What?

Lt. Baker: Marcus isn't exactly the hero here. He was driving the car.

Caroline: You looked handsome up there.

Thomas: Did I?

Caroline: Mm-hmm. Nervous, though, especially when I was talking to, um, what's his name? Uh, Baker.

Thomas: (Sighs) Do me a favor and just don't mention it to anybody. I don't think anybody else noticed.

Caroline: Marcus did. What's going on? I can tell something's wrong.

Dayzee: I was hoping he'd answer.

Marcus: (Sighs)

Leilani: Oh, don't feel bad. I'm sure Anthony would be here if he could.

Dayzee: Yeah. I just want him to know that he's loved and we missed him.

Tony: Oh, he knows. He knows.

Marcus: Yeah, yeah, he knows.

Dayzee: (Sighs)

Marcus: And--but now we can have another reception at Dayzee's, okay, and he'll...

Dayzee: Oh.

Marcus: Play guitar and sing and it'll be great, right?

Dayzee: Hmm. Yeah.

Tony: Now that's what I'm talking about.

Dayzee: Yeah, and Rosey can come, too.

Marcus: Mm-hmm. That's a good idea.

Dayzee: Yeah.

Marcus: See, everything works out for a reason, Guys.

Dayzee: You're so smart.

Marcus: Everything works out for a reason.

Katie: So I thought you two were...

Rick: Yeah, I thought so, too.

Katie: Why don't you go over there?

Rick: Well, you know, it's pretty obvious how she's starting to feel about Thomas.

Katie: Oh, come on, you're not giving up.

Rick: (Scoffs) No.

Katie: Well, then go over there. Get Thomas to give his best man speech or something.

Rick: (Chuckles)

Katie: Go on. (Chuckles)

Brooke: Justin and Donna, is there anything else you'd like to add here?

Donna: Oh.

Justin: Yes. Yeah.

Donna: Uh...

Justin: Uh, Marcus, your mother and I are so very proud of you. Congratulations and many years of happiness.

Donna: Very, very, very proud. We love you. (Chuckles)

Justin: Love you, Son.

Pam: Hope it lasts! (Chuckles)

Donna: Pammy.

Pam: What? Well, half of marriages fail, or in some cases, all of them. (Laughs)

Justin: (Clears throat)

Donna: (Sighs)

Thomas: (Clinking glass) May I have everybody's attention? If you would all raise your glasses, please. Buddy, wow. The two of you, you're an example to the rest of us. As individuals, you both have such a goodness... (chuckles) A way of knowing exactly what to do and what to say to help anybody. But as a couple, together, I have no doubt in my mind that you two will conquer the world. You set the bar for the rest of us. (Chuckles) To Marcus and Dayzee.

All: To Marcus and Dayzee. (Laughing)

Eric: All right. (Glasses clinking)

Rick: Congratulations.

Dayzee: Thank you.

Anthony: You're saying Marcus hit me in the middle of the street and I stand over 6 feet tall. How could he not see me?

Charlie: It's hard to see a pedestrian when you're on your cell.

Anthony: He was talking to someone?

Lt. Baker: Texting. We checked his records. He was sending multiple messages. We assumed he had been doing so while he was driving. He was texting when he hit you.

Dayzee: Hey, I want to thank you guys again for letting me have the wedding here.

Eric: You are welcome, of course.

Dayzee: (Laughs) I really appreciate it. My gosh, if you had told me that day that you chased me down that I'd be getting married in your house...

Stephanie: And ending up as my daughter-in-law...

Dayzee: Oh, my gosh, a Forrester--Barbers and Logans.

Eric: (Chuckles)

Dayzee: It's great. So many people to call family.

Marcus: Look, I don't want her to find out from somebody else, okay? I gotta tell her.

Thomas: And you will tomorrow. Okay, just don't blow it on her special day.

Marcus: (Sighs)

Thomas: Look, I know this is hard for you. You're a good guy, and you don't want to keep secrets. But, man, this... (Sighs) This is the day every girl dreams about. Listen, I'll talk to Lieutenant Baker. I'll--I'll let him know that you'll come in tomorrow. Okay, this is your wedding night. He'll understand.

Marcus: But Anthony-- Anthony--

Thomas: I know. It's fine. I'll check on him, too, okay? Hey, man, all I need you to do is to focus on Dayzee tonight...

Marcus: (Sighs) Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Thomas: Nothing else. I got you.

Marcus: Thanks, man.

Ridge: Mm.

Brooke: Mm.

Ridge: Well, I'm glad I could convince you to put the damn camera down for a while.

Brooke: Yeah, well, I did say I would videotape, and you know how seriously I take my jobs.

Ridge: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: And I do love weddings.

Ridge: Yes, you do, especially your own.

Brooke: (Giggles)

Caroline: I saw you whispering.

Thomas: What?

Caroline: You and Marcus.

Thomas: Yeah.

Caroline: Looked pretty intense. What's going on?

Thomas: Marcus might be in trouble.

Caroline: What?

Thomas: Yeah, he was driving around Dayzee's, and he wasn't exactly paying full attention on the road. You know how it is. He was, uh... he was texting.

Caroline: Oh, no.

Thomas: And the next ting you know, eh, bump, and... he hit somebody.

Caroline: How bad?

Thomas: He'll be okay. Um... but its Anthony.

Caroline: Dayzee's friend?

Thomas: Yeah.

Caroline: Let me guess. He hasn't told her about it yet.

Thomas: No. No. But he will--just not today. It can all come out tomorrow. They deserve a day to celebrate.

(Jazz music playing)

Anthony: So you're telling me Marcus was looking down at one of those gizmos.

Charlie: It's a crime, you know, if he was texting when he hit you.

Anthony: Bring him in here.

Lt. Baker: He's at his wedding.

Anthony: He must not have told Dayzee. She would have stopped the wedding day.

Lt. Baker: Look, we have to treat this as an accident, but if we can prove that he was texting--

Anthony: He came to me when I was first waking up, said he was sorry... (Scoffs) Not "Sorry I hit you," not "Sorry I was an idiot and not paying attention," just "Sorry." And then he took off and left me lying here is a hospital bed. What kind of a man would go ahead with a wedding after doing something like this?

Lt. Baker: Look, we've given you a lot of information. Take your time, think about it, and let us know what you want us to do.

Anthony: I know what I want you to do. Throw the book at him. Prosecute him. Lock... him... up! (Groans) So...
