Steffy: What went wrong?

Brooke: I don't like this.

Liam: I don't know.

Brooke: He looks so hurt.

Katie: Well, you know when this must have been recorded. It--he must think that Hope was leaving him.

Brooke: So what is Steffy doing there in the hotel room? Why didn't we hear about this?

Katie: Yeah, obviously, they didn't want us to know.

Brooke: I guess we're going to find out.

Hope: Mm. So that's what it feels like.

Liam: What?

Hope: Kissing my husband...

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: In our home.

Katie: Is he giving her the letter?

Brooke: The one he thinks is from Hope.

Steffy: "I love you, but I can't do this. I'm sorry. Good-bye"? She didn't write that! It's from Deacon!

Katie: Oh, maybe Hope is about to come in and explain everything.

Liam: "I can't do this. Good-bye."

Brooke: But Steffy wasn't there when Hope talked to Liam. She would have told me.

Liam: So that's it, you know? Hope's gone. (Scoffs)

Steffy: I should--I just-- I don't get it.

Liam: Everything my dad said every--everything he said... (Sighs)

Steffy: Hey.

Katie: Look how close she is to him.

Brooke: Hope, please get there.

Katie: (Sighs)

Liam: I just-- I can't believe it. (Sniffles)

Steffy: Neither can I.

Katie: (Sighs) (Sighs)

Steffy: (Sighs)

Taylor: Hey.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: Hey.

Taylor: I'm surprised you're here. I thought you might still be at Daisy's.

Steffy: You didn't have to leave.

Taylor: Oh, I didn't really want to be a third wheel.

Steffy: (Chuckles)

Taylor: I could see the look on your face when you ran into Liam.

Steffy: Mom!

Taylor: No, on both of your faces. It is so obvious he is still in love with you, Steffy.

Steffy: I agree. I agree, but he is in love with Hope, too, and it's their first night back together home from their honeymoon and they're starting a life together with his bride in the house that we shared.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: (Sighs)

Liam: We did it, the way you wanted.

Hope: You were so patient and understanding.

Liam: (Chuckles) Welcome home, Mrs. Spencer.

Hope: I love you.

(Cell phone rings)

Brooke: The phone's ringing. That's probably Hope.

Liam: Dad. I'm at the hotel.

Brooke: Did Bill tell you any of this?

Katie: No, he didn't.

Liam: Hope's not here. She, um... she's gone, Dad. She walked out on me. No, I'm with Steffy.

Katie: Oh.

Liam: You were right, Dad. You... (Sniffles) You warned me.

Katie: Oh, what is Bill saying?

Liam: Okay. Let's get out of here.

Katie: Are you kidding? He told him to leave?

Brooke: It's because he thinks that Hope left Liam.

Steffy: You're leaving without talking to Hope?

Brooke: It's okay. I-- he's being a protective father. I understand that.

Katie: (Sighs)

Brooke: Look, we know what happens after this. Hope comes in, and then she explains everything, and Hope and Liam get married, and then Bill is being very supportive.

Katie: Right, in the end. But what happens in the middle, right now, between Liam and Steffy? That's what I'm worried about.

Steffy: (Sniffles)

Taylor: You still haven't told me.

Steffy: Told you...

Taylor: Did you and Liam really get to sit down and talk? When I left, you two looked like you were getting very close and friendly.

Steffy: Well, it was hard not to laugh when you literally bump into your ex-husband and you spill coffee all over him, so...

Taylor: But did you get to talk about what happened in Italy?

Steffy: (Sighs) Yeah, yeah, we did, and... it was good. I doubt we'll have many more of those moments, you know, the two of us just being alone and laughing together. He's with Hope now. Every holiday, every family gathering... and I have to learn to be okay with seeing him across the room, knowing that he's someone else's husband.

Taylor: I don't know how you do it. I don't know how you stay so strong.

Steffy: Are you kidding? I've got you to look up to.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: He'll always love me, and that's what he said.

Taylor: (Sighs)

Steffy: I've always known it in my heart. Hearing it makes it all the more difficult, now that he's starting a life with Hope. But still, I am so glad he told me.

Taylor: (Sighs) (Sighs)

Hope: Candles in the bedroom, too, I see.

Liam: Well, yeah.

Hope: (Chuckles) Mm.

Liam: Figured we'd make our way in there eventually, so...

Hope: Mm... I don't know. I just have so much unpacking to do.

Liam: I'll help. It'll go quick.

Hope: I want you to know how much this night means to me. Really, it-- moving in here as your wife, it's just... it's made all that guilt, you know, feeling like a hypocrite, that's all gone.

Liam: It makes sense.

Hope: I guess I didn't know what to expect. I wasn't sure if that guilty feeling would linger, you know what I mean? You know how that is when something's just eating away at you? (Inhales sharply)

Liam: Yeah, well, it's in the past. I mean, we're married now, so... come with me.

Steffy: (Sighs) (Chuckles) Are you sure?

Liam: Yes.

Brooke: When will Hope get there?

Steffy: No. No. You know, you're upset right now. You--

Liam: No. No. I'm not upset. I can't do this anymore-- the lying and the pills and moving in and the moving out. I'm exhausted. She's got problems I can't fix, and I... I hope he--she gets better. I-I do. But my God, what I've done to you.

Steffy: (Sighs) You see me complaining?

Brooke: No, Liam, please.

Liam: (Sighs)

(Church bells ringing)

Brooke: It's her phone. She had the bells set for when their marriage ended.

Steffy: I thought, um, this is when you would be married to Hope, and it would be over for us.

Liam: It's not over.

Brooke: I can't believe this is happening.

Liam: It's just beginning.

Brooke: He wouldn't do this... not on their wedding day. I can't watch this. I can't. Wait.

Katie: Wait, wait. What--

Brooke: Wh-what happened?

Katie: Play it again.

Brooke: No, I-I think that was it.

Katie: (Sighs)

Brooke: (Scoffs) And now we don't know if--

Katie: They didn't. They didn't.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Katie: (Stammers) Liam must have stopped it, and then he told Steffy to leave, and that's when Hope caught up to him.

Brooke: Well, even if that were true, how could he marry my daughter, after this? (Sighs)

Katie: Well, I bet she can't wait to drop this bomb. Here she is biding her time, pretending to accept them. I knew it was too good to be true.

Brooke: What was he thinking?

Katie: It's Steffy. Apparently, men can't think around her.

Brooke: No. No, I mean, after that. He does this with Steffy, and then he goes and stands before God and says vows to my daughter on the very same day? I-I don't get that. Should he do that?

Katie: Where are you going?

Brooke: I'm going to find Liam.

Taylor: I know you probably don't want to hear this, but I think it would be best if you told everyone about what happened in Italy.

Steffy: No!

Taylor: You said it yourself, you wouldn't want to be with Liam because of a lie.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Taylor: Don't you think Hope would want the same thing? For Liam to have been ready to run away with another woman on his wedding day--

Steffy: Yes, Mom, that has to be a secret. I don't want Hope or anyone ever finding out.

Liam: "Coconut lavender bliss," huh?

Hope: Yeah.

Liam: What do you even use all these for? I mean, I've already unpacked, like, six of them.

Hope: (Laughs) Oh, keep digging. I have, like, 20.

Liam: (Chuckles) Okay.

Hope: You don't question it. Remember your vows, Mister.

Liam: Oh, yes. Loving all your lotions and potions.

Hope: (Gasps) Our first visitor! Ooh!

Liam: They better not stay long.

Hope: (Giggles) Mom. Hi. What are you doing here?

Brooke: H-hi, Honey. Um...I need to speak to Liam.

Hope: Sounds serious. Come in, come in. I hope you didn't drive all the way out here to give him one of those, you know, "Be good to my daughter or else" lectures, did you?

Brooke: I just... (Sighs) I really need to speak to Liam alone.

Hope: Okay, if you must, I will just go take a quick shower. Be nice. Listen to her sage advice.

Liam: Mm-hmm. You okay?

Brooke: You two are married... (Sighs) After everything. Hope seems okay. She seems happy and content. She's past all of her issues and her stress.

Liam: Yeah, I think, um, I think what really made a big difference was--was her moving out, you know, us waiting until marriage. 'Cause that way, when we said our vows, it was--

Brooke: Yeah, it means a lot to pledge your life to somebody, to honor them and love them, respect them. I think when a man stands across the altar from his wife, he needs to know in his heart that she's the one. You made me like you. You made me want you as a son-in-law. And now I just don't know.

Liam: You don't know? What--

Brooke: I don't know if you really love Hope.

Liam: What?!

Brooke: Should this marriage even have happened?

Liam: (Sighs)
