Father Fontana: Liam Spencer and Hope Logan, you came here today to pledge your love and commitment to each other in front of your parents and, of course, the people of Polignano a Mare.

All: (Cheering)

Steffy: (Sighs)

Stephanie: You know, Taylor and I were just sitting around waiting, hoping that Steffy would call after that ceremony was over.

Eric: Well... (Clears throat) There wasn't one.

Stephanie: What?

Eric: I spoke to Ridge a while ago. He said that, uh, the wedding was delayed.

Stephanie: Delayed or canceled?

Eric: No, no, it's happening now. It's just--and Steffy decided not to be a part of it.

Stephanie: Oh, I'm glad to hear that. I knew it'd be too hard for her.

Eric: Yeah.

Stephanie: (Sighs)

Eric: In other news, Ridge tells me that the gown was an absolute hit. He said he couldn't have done it any better himself.

Stephanie: Well, of course, he couldn't.

Eric: (Chuckles)

Stephanie: You're such a sucker for any Logan that wants to traipse down an aisle.

Eric: Yeah.

Stephanie: And?

Eric: Hope loved it. (Chuckles)

Stephanie: Good... I guess.

Eric: You're feeling for Steffy, aren't you?

Stephanie: Yeah.

Eric: But she's strong. She's very strong. She'll get through this.

Steffy: (Sighs)

Father Fontana: I believe that in English, you have a saying-- "If at first, you're not succeeding, then you must try, try again." Well, I believe that you are the excellent example of just how true that is. I've always believed that it doesn't matter where you get married. What matters is that when you do, your heart is filled with love and joy and good wishes. And just by looking at this groom and this bride, I can just see your hearts are singing and your love is soaring. Cantare. Volare.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Liam: (Chuckles)

Father Fontana: I am so happy to be with you today, joining in the celebration of your union, because today from two, you're becoming one forever.

Steffy: (Groans) That's perfect.  (Scoffs)

(Cell phone rings)

Steffy: Hmm.

(Cell phone rings)

Steffy: Hey, Grandma. (Sighs)

Stephanie: Well, you don't sound too depressed.

(Seagulls squawking)

Steffy: What the- what the-- are you kidding me?

Stephanie: What is it?

Steffy: Oh, never mind. It's just turnin' out to be one of those days. (Sighs) You know, what am I saying? It is a day from hell. I can't wait to go back to L.A. This is a huge, huge mistake.

Stephanie: So, uh, something happened with Liam?

Steffy: Why?

Stephanie: Well, Eric said the wedding was delayed.

Steffy: Uh, yeah, well... well, we almost got back together, Grandma.

Stephanie: What? Are you serious?

Steffy: It's just-- a lot of things going on, and you know what? I-I really-- I don't want to get into it. And I doesn't matter, anyway. Hope and Liam are still getting married, and even though I couldn't make myself be a part of Hope and Liam's wedding I wish them a long and happy life together. (Sighs)

Father Fontana: Before you exchange your vows, Hope, I believe your mother has something to say.

Ridge: And her father as well, if it's okay with you.

Hope: Of course.

Ridge: I know I haven't been altogether supportive for obvious reasons. But I just wanted to make sure you knew that it was not a matter of taking sides. It wasn't my daughter versus Brooke's, because you are and always have been my daughter. I had the pleasure of living with you, of raising you, of loving you most of your life. And to think that I had the opportunity to help share this beautiful, gracious, poised young lady-- it's a thing of beauty. I am privileged and honored to be your father. Standing up here with you now, I am filled with nothing but joy.  I love you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: And, Liam, if I could dream of the perfect husband for my precious daughter, it would be you... (sighs) because you are so sweet and handsome and smart and loving, and you have a great sense of humor.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Brooke: And that is going to get you and Hope through so much together. (Sighs) I am really blessed to have you as a member of our family.

Father Fontana: Well...

Hope: (Sighs)

Father Fontana: If no one has anything else to say--

Bill: I'd like to speak. It wouldn't be an understatement to say that I've had a hard time accepting this. It also wouldn't an understatement that you may have a hard time accepting this-- my apology for my behavior and my stubbornness. Today, I swear that I will never stand in your way again. Hope, I will love you as my daughter, as Hope Spencer. I've spent far too long being overly concerned about your worthiness of the name. I felt I was too good for you. But it was just be the other way around. I'm lucky to have you in my family.  Liam, my son... I'm proud of you. Well done.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: (Chuckles)

Eric: So how is she?

Stephanie: Oh, she's miserable. She said that she and Liam almost got back together again, but now he's marrying Hope. I mean, I--

Eric: Well, that's something that he has wanted to do since long before he was involved with Steffy. You know, things have a way of working out for the best, you know.

Stephanie: Really? Well, she is her mother's daughter. Maybe this will be the first of many marriages for Hope.

Eric: (Chuckles) Oh, come on. Look, let's keep in mind that halfway around the world, two people about whom we care very, very much are committing themselves to each other forever. Let's hold them in our thoughts, all right? It's a new beginning for Hope and for Liam... for Steffy, too.

Steffy: (Sighs) (Chuckles sarcastically) (Sighs) (Scoffs) (Chuckles)

Father Fontana: Hope, Liam, since it's your intention to enter the state of marriage, please join hands and declare your consent in front of God and his church. Liam, I believe you have written your vows for Hope.

Liam: Uh, I wouldn't say "written" but I-I do know what I want to say. I mean, ob--obviously, I-I want to have and hold, richer, poorer, sickness, health, and all of it, but, um, it's more than that. You know, promising to be with you forever, it means... well... (chuckles) well, a-actually, it means a lot of things. It means loving the lotions and potions all over the bathroom counter.

Hope: (Laughs)

Liam: It means telling you before I throw out any of your fashion magazines. It means letting you change your outfit five-- ten

Hope: (Laughs)

Liam: Times before we leave the house. It means not questioning your taste in music... ever.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Liam: I promise to enjoy you. I promise to treasure you. And I promise never to let a day go by where I don't tell you, but, more importantly, show you how much you mean to me...

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: As long as we both shall live.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Father Fontana: Hope?

Hope: Oh. (Chuckles)

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: Uh, I, Hope, I promise to always check the surf report when I wake up before you...

Liam: (Laughs)

Hope: So you never miss a good swell. I promise to never complain when you want a night out with the guys.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: (Laughs) I promise to always make your favorite peanut butter and banana...

Liam: Mmm.

Hope: And bacon sandwiches, as disgusting...

Liam: (Laughs)

Hope: As they are, any time you ask. I promise to help you with your tie, even though I know that you are capable of tying it yourself. (Chuckles)

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: I promise to help you with anything, day or night... (sighs) because I will always be there for you, just as I know that you will always be the one person that I can talk to about anything. You will never question my priorities or wonder if I'm available to you, because I am yours. Emotionally, physically, I am all yours. (Sighs)

Father Fontana: As long as you both shall live?

Hope: Yes, yes, of course. As long as we both shall live. Yes. (Laughs)

Liam: Hope, take this ring as a token of my love and fidelity.

Hope: Liam, take this ring as a token of my love and fidelity. (Sighs)

Father Fontana: By the power vested in me, and with the help of the people of the Polignano a Mare, I now pronounce you husband and wife.

Hope: (Gasps)

Father Fontana: Liam, you may kiss your bride.

Hope: (Sighs)

(Cheers and applause)
