Hope: Everything is fine, Liam. Nothing has changed. Today is our wedding day, okay? No matter what happened, we are still getting married. (Sighs) Liam, I can't wait to be your wife. (Sighs)

Brooke: There is no record of a Deacon Sharpe staying anywhere in the hotel.

Ridge: Hi, Honey, it’s Dad. Call me on the cell as soon as you get this. Love you.

Brooke: (Sighs) What, she's still not answering her phone?

Ridge: No, she's not in her room, either.

Brooke: Well, it--it-- it's Hope and Liam's wedding day. Maybe she went to the spa to get her mind off things.

Ridge: Well, I want to find her, wherever she is, and make sure she's all right.

[Steffy remembering]

Bill: (Sighs) But you need to be here. He can't look into your eyes if you're gone. Look, I understand that this is difficult for you. But, Steffy, the payoff could be worth it. You need to see this through.

Bill: Where's Deacon?

Alison: Back at the farmhouse.

Bill: He better stay there.

Alison: He has no money, and I've got his passport.

Bill: Well, I don't need him anymore, anyway. He was a good boy, did his job.

Alison: Let's hope so.

Bill: Liam and Steffy are on their way. Before you know it, they'll be on this plane flying out of here.

Liam: How can we still get married?

Hope: It's okay. It's all right. We're just a little bit behind schedule. But Father Fontana is on standby. He's ready to go whenever we are.

Liam: Listen, listen, listen. I really--I thought--

Hope: I know. I know. I know what you thought. You thought that I had left you at the altar, that I wrote you some good-bye note and just completely walked away, and, Liam... Liam, I would never do that. I love you so much. I'm so sorry that I was late getting to the church, but, oh, it was--it was because something so wonderful happened. My father came do see me on my wedding day, and I'm... I am so happy. This is just the best day of my life.

Bill: I told Liam to grab Steffy and get straight to the jet. Where the hell are they? They should be here by now.

(Cell phone alert chimes)

Alison: Oh. Ah.

Bill: Ah, what?

Alison: It's the limo driver. The bride is with the groom.

Bill: (Inhales sharply) (Sighs)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: At least we know Deacon isn't registered at the hotel.

Brooke: He could be using a fake name.

Ridge: Well, it's possible.

Brooke: How could he have the nerve to come here? I told him to stay away from Hope forever.

Ridge: And he stayed away all these years and now--

Brooke: (Sighs) Yeah, and then suddenly comes crawling out of the woodwork? Why? Why now? Why on Hope's wedding day?

Bill: (Sighs)

Alison: So Hope and Liam are together-- not a good sign.

Bill: You think?

Alison: What are you gonna do?

Bill: (Sighs) Not jump to conclusions.

Alison: You're upset, aren't you? Worried?

Bill: About my son? I'm always worried. I'm his father. It's in my blood to want to protect him.

Alison: I've always wondered-- tell me if I'm getting too personal-- but what was it like finding out you had a grown son?

Bill: You're getting too personal.

Alison: It must have thrown you.

Bill: (Sighs) I didn't want anything to do with him.

Alison: He's your son. You have to love him. How hard could that have been?

Bill: (Sighs)

Hope: Okay, so I know I'm a little grimy after my all-out sprint to the church, and I-I will tell you about that little adventure later, so I am going to go get freshened up. And you, put your suit back on. And what do you say we have ourselves a wedding? Mm. Don't worry. This time, I promise I won't be late. (Laughs)

Liam: Hope, wait. (Sighs)

Bill: If Liam's with Hope now, then where's Steffy?

Alison: I don't know.

Bill: You don't know? I pay you to know. So text the driver and find out if he's seen her.

Alison: You may not want to hear this, but I don't think Liam and Steffy are coming.

Bill: Really? You don't? You're just ready to-- to give up that easily? All the time and effort that's gone into this, and you just want to give up?

Alison: I'm just being realistic.

(Cell phone alert chimes)

Alison: He hasn't seen Steffy anywhere.

Bill: All right, well, that's not necessarily a bad sign.

Alison: But if Hope and Liam are together--

Bill: He was just with Steffy earlier. Who knows what Hope walked in on?

Hope: Liam, what is it? What's wrong? (Sighs) Look, I-I-I know what you must be feeling. I mean, you're probably having emotional whiplash right now, thinking that I left you at the altar and then finding the note, thinking I wrote it. But you know now that none of that was true.

Liam: Yeah, now I-- now I know.

Hope: Liam, I'm so sorry about what happened today.

Liam: No, you-- you have nothing to be sorry about.

Hope: No, I-I... (Sighs) I got too caught up, and I should have been more focused on you, on--on us. (Sighs) But when I opened the door, and he was standing there... oh, my--it was so overwhelming, and I just-- I completely lost track of time. And--I mean, think about it. I-I haven't seen him since I was, like, a toddler.

Liam: I know. I-I-I know.

Hope: I've been thinking about him a lot, really needing my dad, especially because I'm getting married, and... it's just-- it's so crazy. It's like he knew that. He knew, and he came all this way to se me on my wedding day.

Liam: (Sighs) I'm really happy for you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: You helped me find my father, and now you've found yours. Uh...

Hope: Thank you for being so understanding about everything. So do you feel better now knowing that the only person who got cold feet was my dad? (Scoffs)

Liam: Uh, listen, a lot has happened today.

Hope: Yeah, I-I-I know, things that I never thought possible.

Liam: Me, neither.

Ridge: Do you think Bill had anything to do with this?

Brooke: Hope's a public figure. If people want to find out where she is, they're gonna find out.

Ridge: So you believe it was all Deacon's doing?

Brooke: (Sighs) What did he think that he had to accomplish? I mean, why would he come back now? Was he out of money? Is that why he was trying to ingratiate himself into Hope's life? (Sighs) I won't let him do it.

Ridge: Well, he sure messed things up today. Typical Deacon-- wrecking havoc everywhere he goes.

Brooke: All these years, I've tried to keep him out of her life. And she's had you to love her and to protect her and now he comes back, and--and she wants a relationship with him.

Ridge: Listen to me.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: We'll find Deacon, and we'll make him go away. I think she's romanticizing him now, but the guy has nothing to offer her whatsoever. She's a smart girl. She'll get over it. But right now we have a wedding to go to.

Brooke: Our beautiful daughter, a bride. (Sighs) Oh, look at me. (Chuckles) (Sighs)

Ridge: Twist my arm.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Alison: Sometimes I worry about you, Bill. I'm being serious. You are dangerously confident.

Bill: It's a gift.

Alison: What if this plan doesn't work?

Bill: It'll work.

Alison: And if this is beyond your control?

Bill: Nothing is beyond my control.

Alison: This is. What you're doing-- I think you've lost control.

Bill: (Sighs)

Alison: You've gone beyond what any father would do. You can't, like, live your son's life for him.

Bill: That's not what I'm doing. I am giving him some guidance. I am pointing him at the right direction. He's at the tipping point with these two. Hope just sucks the life out of him. She has no idea who she is. She might never know. The girl has, like, ten different personalities.

Alison: And you haven't met a single one you liked? I'm shocked.

Bill: You know what I like? Consistency, dependability, people I can count on, and that's what I want for my son. Hope doesn't know whether she is coming or going. She moves in. She moves out. She uses their relationship front and center for her abstinence crusade. She gets hooked on pharmaceuticals. The girl has serious problems. You think she can handle a marriage? I doubt it. The bottom line is Steffy the right woman for Liam. I see it clear as day. Hell, a blind man could see it. Why can't he?

Alison: (Sighs)

Hope: You're right. Today has been an amazing day. Oh, I wish you could have been there when I saw my dad. (Sighs)

Liam: Me, too.

Hope: I-I felt this--this instant connection to him, you know, kind of the way I always imagined it would be. I wanted him to walk me down the aisle, but he--he said that he couldn't, because, you know, he didn't know if my mom could handle it, and... (Inhales sharply) He didn't want anything messing up our big day. (Sighs)

Liam: Well, I'm glad you got to see him.

Hope: So am I. Oh, but I should have been paying more attention. I should have realized how late it was. I was going to call you to tell you that I was on my way, but I couldn't find my phone anywhere. I figured I would just call you from the limo, but when I ran outside, Liam, the limo left. It totally left without me. But there was no way that I was going to miss my own wedding. So luckily, one of those little ape trucks drove over. (Giggles) I jumped into the back...

Liam: No, you didn't.

Hope: Of the truck, and I convinced the driver to take me all the way to the church, and he agreed. He was going to do it. But then halfway there, there was a road closure. We could not get by at all. So I got out... (Sighs) Of the truck, and I ran...

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: All the way there. I-I mean, I ran to the top of Saint Antonio, which is why I look so attractive right now. (Giggles)

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: But when I got there, you were gone.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: Oh.

Liam: I was really worried, Hope.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: I mean, I-I didn't know why you weren't there, and I-I came looking for you, and saw this note and--

Hope: I know. I know you did. But I told you I did not write that, okay? It was from my dad telling me that he was leaving. I wish he could have stayed, but... oh, it just-- I mean, just him being here at all, it changed so much.

Liam: Yeah, it did.

Hope: I love my dad, and I-I really want him in my life. I mean, he's my dad. But... today is not about him. It is about you and me.

Liam: I don't think I can do this... go back up to that church again. I... (Sighs) Not now. I, um... I can't do it.

Ridge: Hey, Spencer.

Bill: Ridge, you're looking very snappy.

Ridge: You seen Deacon Sharpe?

Bill: What's he look like?

Ridge: You don't know?

Bill: How would I know?

Ridge: The guy hasn't shown up in years. He's had no contact with Hope since he left L.A. Now all of a sudden, as hope's about to get married to your son, he shows up. How did that happen, Bill?

Hope: You don't want to go back to the church? Okay, that's fine. Liam, that's fine. I-I don't care where we get married. I just want to make this wedding happen as soon as possible. I am so tired of waiting. Today's our wedding day. We should be enjoying this, having fun. The next time I do this...you will be my husband.

Liam: (Sighs) I thought you left me. I mean, I... I thought we were done. I didn't--

Hope: I know. I know. And I can't imagine how hurt you were, coming back here all alone... to this room, where we were going to spend our wedding night.

Liam: Listen, Hope, hey, listen to me. Listen, you have to understand something, okay? When I got here, and I read that note, I really thought it was from you.

Hope: I know. But now you know that it isn't.

Liam: I know. But I didn't before.

Hope: Okay, then that's fine. You freaked out. It was a misunderstanding. It's okay.

Liam: No, it's not okay. I-I came in here, and I saw the note, and I thought...

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: I don't know what I thought. I mean, that-- that you didn't love me anymore, or that you s-started taking the pills again or--

Hope: What?! Sweetie, no. No. That is crazy.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: I'm not going to do that.

Liam: (Sniffles)

Hope: Look, I-I can only imagine how horrible it must have been for you, seeing that note, thinking I wrote it. But--but now you know that none of that's true, okay? You know that now. It's fine.

Liam: It's not fine. Listen, I don't know how to tell you this, because I don't want to hurt you, but everything is not the same as it was before. Everything has changed.

Hope: You're right you're right. And--and maybe we were not meant to have that wedding. Maybe it's a sign. Look, Liam, if--if you don't want to go back to the church, we--we don't have to. We can go back to our original spot. We can get married on the bluff in Polignano a Mare. It would be beautiful.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: Don't you think? We would be surrounded by the Adriatic, the sun shining down on us. That's how I want to start my life with you. It would be a huge celebration. I mean, doesn't that sound amazing?

Liam: Right now?

Hope: Well, I-I mean, I have to get cleaned up first, and you have to get all dapper again, but, yeah. Liam, you and I are getting married today. I love you so much. (Sighs)
