(Tires squeal)

Hope: Wait! Wait, where are you going? This is my wedding day! Come back!

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: Any idea what could be keeping Hope?

Brooke: No. (Sighs) No, but I'm gonna call her. (Sighs) Voicemail. Honey, hi. We're here waiting for you at the Sant'Antonio Church. Where are you? Call me. (Sighs) I'm sure she's on her way.

Hope: I can't believe this. Okay. Um... (Sighs)

(Truck approaching)

Hope: Oh, my God. Oh! Oh! Scusa. Scusa. Scusa. Scusa. Scusa. Scusa. Um, hi, hi. I need to get to Alberobello. Alberobello, Sant'Antonio.

Man: Alberobello, Sant'Antonio.

Hope: And I'm getting married, so if I could just get in the back...

Man: Oh, no, no, no, no.

Hope: That would be fantastic.

Man: (Mumbling indistinctly)

Hope: Si. Si. Oh, Andiamo, please. Per favore. Please. Andiamo.

Man: Okay. Va bene.

Hope: (Gasps) Grazie! Grazie! Thank you. Thank you so much. Okay. (Sighs) Andiamo, per favore.

(Truck backfires as Hope hangs on in the back)

Hope: Ooh! Ooh, hoo. Okay. (Sighs)

(Breathing heavily)

Deacon: I kept Hope here as long as I could.

Alison: You did well.

Deacon: Did I? Did I do well? I betrayed my only daughter on her wedding day. Do you know that she was actually happy to see me? I mean, I have been a worthless father, and that girl... she took about two minutes, and you know what she did? She accepted me, and she forgave me.

Alison: I'm not surprised.

Deacon: Right, because that's who she is. She's a loving, compassionate woman. She opened her heart up to me, and you know how I repaid her? I stalled her so she wouldn't make it to her wedding on time. Hell of a father, I am.

Marcus: Look, I really don't want to be in the middle of this.

Katie: Oh, it's too late for that. Tell me what's going on with my husband. And what does it have to do with Hope's wedding? Tell me everything, Marcus.

Liam: Don't. Don't even, Dad. She'll be here.

[Steffy remembering]

Steffy: It's almost like you're expecting something to happen.

Bill: Why wouldn't I? I mean, there's a history here, right-- Logan women weddings. Isn't there always some sort of last-minute histrionics?

Steffy: Well, I don't intend to provide the fireworks for Hope's, so you can find somebody else.

Bill: Hope is not the right woman for Liam. You are. He doesn't have much time to realize it, but, Steffy, it ain't over till it's over, so don't give up. Do not give up.

Hope: Oh. Andiamo.

Katie: I'm serious, Marcus. You are not leaving this office until you tell me what Bill is up to.

Marcus: Well, how would I know anything? Bill doesn't confide in me.

Katie: You used the word "Sabotage" with Dayzee. Why don't we start there?

Marcus: Oh, come on, Katie, you know those two. Bill and Pop are probably just talking trash.

Katie: Tell me what you heard.

Marcus: (Sighs) Well, I-I don't--I don't know what I heard. I mean, Pop accidentally called me. Uh, you know, Bill was on the plane. It--it--the conversation was muffled. I don't even believe what I heard anymore.

Katie: Is the word "Sabotage" something you're clear on, Marcus?

Marcus: Yeah. I think it is.

Katie: (Sighs)

Liam: (Sighs) Okay, you know, I'm calling Hope again.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Liam: Still straight to voicemail.

Ridge: What in the world could be keeping her?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Alison: We need more time. You should have called me immediately. Mr. Spencer won't be happy about this. All right, well, you better hurry, and it better work.

(Cell phone rings)

Alison: Bill, I was just about to call you.

Bill: What's going on?

Alison: Deacon stalled Hope as long as he could. Unfortunately, she's on her way to the church.

Bill: I told you to get rid of the car. Well, you better slow her down.

Alison: I'm on it.

Deacon: My daughter didn't deserve what I did to her.

Alison: But it's done, isn't it? You can't take it back, so you might as well go on living with it.

Deacon: That's the plan, as a free man. Your boss-- he better keep up his end of the bargain.

Alison: He will. In the meantime, your work here is done, so go back to the farmhouse and wait for us.

Deacon: Yes, Ma'am.

[Road workers put up a barricade]

Hope: Wait. Wait. Wait, what are we doing? Why are we stopping? Scusi. Scusi. Scusi. Hi. Scusi. Um, no, I need to-- I need to go around. Andiamo. Andiamo. Sant'Antonio, please. It's not far. I'm--I'm getting married, and my dress is all dirty, and please--oh!

Brooke: I can't imagine what's keeping her.

Ridge: Or why her cell phone is off.

Liam: Something's weird.

Brooke: (Sighs)

Bill: Hey, hey, hey. Where--where are you going?

Liam: (Sighs) To find Hope.

Bill: Hey, h-hang on, wait.

Hope: (Sighs)

Man: Sorry, Bella. Sorry.

Hope: No, no. No, grazie. Grazie mille. (Sighs) Oh! I'm so sorry! I'm-- mi dispiace. I'm sorry. Aah! Oh, my-- (Sighs)

(Bells toll as Hope takes off running)

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: What the hell could make Hope so late for her own wedding? I really don't like this.

Brooke: Me, neither. (Sighs)

Bill: (Sighs)

Katie: So we've nailed down "Sabotage." Now what else do you know?

Marcus: Nothing.

Katie: Marcus, you are a terrible liar. It is painfully obvious that you are not telling me everything. Look, I'm not asking you to divulge top secret business information. This is my niece. If Hope is about to be sabotaged in any way, I have a right to know.

Marcus: Exactly. See, that's it. Hope is your niece, and she's my cousin-- family. Now whether Bill is thrilled about that or not, I can't imagine that he'll do anything to really hurt her.

Katie: (Sighs) Surely you can't be that naive. We both know how much Bill does not want Hope to marry Liam. Sabotaging her wedding is the least of what he might do. You know what? Forget it. You have divided loyalties. I understand that. I will get my information from the source.

(Cell phone rings)

Steffy: Are you a father-in-law again?

Bill: Hope never showed.

Steffy: What?

Bill: Did you hear what I said?

Steffy: Is Liam okay?

Bill: He went back to the hotel. Maybe you should go check on him. I'm sure he could use a friend.

(Alison writes a note and leaves it in Hope's room. Liam drives up to the hotel while Steffy watches)

(Cell phone rings)

Bill: How's my wife and my baby doing?

Katie: Hey. Where are you right now?

Bill: Outside Sant'Antonio with Ridge, Brooke, and a very nice clergyman. We're waiting on Hope.

Katie: So the wedding is still on?

Bill: As far as I know. Have you heard differently?

Katie: No, no, of course not. I just wanted to remind you, Bill, of our understanding-- that you are going to welcome Hope into our family, and you are gonna get over your obsession of Steffy being with Liam. And you are going to do nothing-- I just want to make sure you hear me, Bill-- nothing to interfere with Hope's wedding or Hope and Liam's honeymoon or their future happiness. We're--we're clear on that, right?

Bill: I love you, too, Sweetie.

Katie: Bill, are you listening to me?

Bill: Don't I always listen to you?

Katie: I mean it.

Bill: I know you mean it. I love you. I'll be home soon.

Ridge: Maybe we should try Hope's cell again.

Hope: Mom! Mom! Ridge! (Sighs)

Brooke: Honey, there you are.

Hope: Hi.

Brooke: Where have you been?

Hope: (Breathing heavily)

Brooke: We were getting worried about you.

Hope: Okay. Something really amazing happened, and I almost didn't even believe it myself, even though he was standing right in front of me.

Brooke: Who?

Hope: (Breathing heavily) My father.

Brooke: What did you say?

Hope: Yeah, I know. It sounds so crazy, but he was here. Mom, Dad came to see me on my wedding day.

Ridge: Wait a minute. Uh, are you talking about Deacon?

Brooke: He is here?

Hope: Yes! That's why I'm so late! Oh, okay, actually, the--the limo left without me, so I-I hitched a ride with the gardener, and then there was a road closure, so I just got out and I ran the rest of the way here. But I'm here now, and I met my dad, and everything is wonderful.

Brooke: Honey, stop it.

Hope: What?

Brooke: Just listen to me.

Hope: (Clears throat)

Brooke: He is nothing but trouble. Please stay away.

Hope: Oh, you know, let's not talk about it right now. I'm--I'm getting married. Is--is Liam inside?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Ridge: No, he left.

Hope: Where did he go?

Bill: To look for you, Hope.

Liam: Hope? Hope? Hey, you in here? "I love you, but I can't do this. I'm sorry. Good"... (Sniffles) Come on.

[Liam remembers happy times with Hope in Italy, then recalls how she left him before]

Hope: Good-bye, Liam.

(Computer recorder beeps)

Liam: Really? You gonna do this to me again? You gonna... you gonna walk out on me on our wedding day? Why? I mean, I-I... don't understand, because everything was going just fine. It was--it was fine. And then--and you-- you just--I... I...

(Computer recorder beeps when Liam flings it on to the floor)

Steffy: Liam?

Liam: Oh, hey. (Breathing heavily) Um... you know, she did it again. She walked out on me on our wedding day. (Chuckles) My dad was right. I can't... I can't do this. I can't do this anymore. I'm done. I'm done!
