Hope: (Sniffles)  Dad... (Chuckles)

Liam: Maybe we should call and make sure she's on her way.

Brooke: No. She just needs a moment alone.

Liam: Okay. Okay.

Father Fontana: It's a big day, you know? Brides need their time to, um, how do you say, um, primp, huh?

Brooke: Yes. Yes.

Father Fontana: Yes.

Brooke: But I think it's more than that. It's about reflection and what this day means to her, her wedding day.

Ridge: I would have waited for her, but she didn't want me too.

Brooke: She’ll be here any minute, really, okay? Let's just-- let's go wait inside.

Liam: All right.

Steffy: (Sighs) (Sighs)

Marcus: Hey, it's me. I'm at Spencer. I thought you'd be here, but, um, yeah, give me a call. I want to talk to you, man.

Dayzee: I thought I heard your voice

Marcus: Hey. (Chuckles)

Dayzee: (Giggles)

Marcus: What are you doing here?

Dayzee: Teaching you a lesson. You have to know, if we're gonna be married, I can track you, anytime, anywhere.

Marcus: Right, Detective Dayzee.

Dayzee: Exactly. I actually had help, though. Two little birdies told me. Your mom and Pam, who were practically crawling on top of each other to update me.

Marcus: Yeah, they're kind of competitive at that reception job thing.

Dayzee: (Laughs) Yeah. You all right?

Marcus: Hmm? Yeah. It's just my pop. You know, he's got me worried about some things.

Dayzee: Well, what's going on?

Marcus: Well... (Sighs) he and Bill are-- are up to something. And I exactly don't know what it is, but I know it's shady. And it definitely has something to do with Liam and Hope's wedding.

Brooke: When was the last time Father Fontana came to visit us in Los Angeles?

Ridge: I think it was back when Hope was a freshman in high school.

Brooke: (Sighs) And now he's officiating at her wedding. You're the only father she's ever known.

Hope: You're really here. Today of all days. (Giggles) You came for my wedding. You have no idea how much I've wanted this. (Laughs)

Dayzee: You know what? It actually does sound as if Bill and your dad are planning something.

Marcus: And--and--they are, based on what I overheard.

Dayzee: About Hope and Liam?

Marcus: Yeah. They've been waiting and waiting for this wedding, and now it's finally gonna happen, but I'm not so sure about that.

Dayzee: Do you think Bill would actually try and stop it? Did you actually hear him say that?

Marcus: No, babe, not ex-- exactly the word "stop."

Dayzee: Okay. Well, that's good.

Marcus: The word my pop used was "sabotage."

Dayzee: What?

Katie: (Sighs)

Marcus: See why I'm worried?

Bill: Cold feet?

Liam: (Chuckles) Not a chance.

Bill: I wasn't talking about you.

Liam: Dad, she's a bride. She's allowed to take her time. This is a huge day for her. I mean, Hope will be here. She'll be here.

Hope: (Sniffling) What's wrong?

Deacon: Oh, um...

Hope: You look kind of freaked out or something.

Deacon: My--my head is just all over the place.

Hope: I bet. Yeah. (Sighs)

Deacon: Are you okay?

Hope: Yeah, yeah. I'm sorry. I just--I needed a tissue.

Deacon: No, I mean, I just don't want to mess your makeup up on your wedding day.

Hope: I know. (Laughs) That you'd come all this way for it, is... (Sighs) I mean, I am so happy, Dad.

Deacon: You know, I just-- I-I didn't think you'd want anything to do with me. I mean, I-I-I-I haven't been involved in your life.

Hope: No. No, you haven't. Why?

Deacon: (Sighs) Hope, your-- your mother's... (Sighs) she warned me to stay away from you.

Hope: Okay, well, that, you know, that wasn't her call. That was wrong.

Deacon: Yeah, I know. I know. But don't-- don't be too hard on her. She was--she was doing what she thought was best. Look, you don't know me, but I'm not a real stand-up guy. The last thing that you needed was some selfish jerk as a role model, and I ju--I just think things were better this way.

Hope: Well, I'm all grown up now, and I think that I am perfectly capable of handling selfish jerks...

Deacon: Yeah.

Hope: Especially one that I really care about.

(Flashback)

Steffy: Part of you wants to be with me, want to call off the divorce and just forget it happened. That's what I was counting on. But it can't happen. You made a commitment to her, and I know what that means to you. You can't disappoint her.

Liam: Or you.

Steffy: You can't be with both. (Sighs)

Marcus: Okay, I know Spencer's in Italy doing who knows what? I can't get ahold of my pop. And anyway, he told me to just stay out of it.

Dayzee: Oh, no, no, no, no, no. You have to tell someone. Okay, what time is it in Italy? I mean, aren't they getting married, like, now?

Marcus: Supposedly.

Dayzee: (Sighs)

Marcus: Look, babe, I am trying to be cool and not do anything. But what do I do? Just let this go? Hope's my cousin. I don't want anything bad happening to her.

Katie: What's gonna happen?

Marcus: Aunt Katie, hey.

Katie: What is my husband going to do to Hope?

Dayzee: Um, you two need to talk.

Ridge: You got some tissues, Logan? When you see Hope walking down the aisle, you're gonna need them. I just wish she wasn't walking alone.

Liam: You should ask her again. She might feel differently today.

Ridge: I did... (Sighs) right before we left her. Her answer was still no. I wonder if she'll ever call me dad again.

Hope: You know, Ridge has really tried, and he's done a really great job. He has. But, um... he's got his own daughter. I just, with the way things have been lately... let's just say that I really, really needed you here today. (Chuckles)

Deacon: Come here.

Hope: (Sniffles) (Chuckles) (Gasps) Oh, my gosh. Now--now you--you can walk me down the aisle. Oh, this is perfect. Um, we should go. Everyone is waiting. (Chuckles)

Deacon: Hope... (Sighs) Hope, I can't do that. I...

Hope: What do you mean?

Deacon: Your mother--

Hope: No, don't-- don't worry about-- about my mom, okay? It'll be okay.

Deacon: Listen to me. Today is your day, and you gotta celebrate this with your family. I mean, come on, the last thing anybody needs to see is a--an ex con walking you down the aisle. I mean, come on, they'd-- they'd lose it.

Hope: You've been in jail?

Deacon: Yeah. Um... I was a-- I was in Genoa City, and I, uh, I ran into some trouble.

Hope: Okay. Okay. (Chuckles) But that's obviously behind you now. Because, look, I mean, you're here. (Chuckles)

Deacon: I got released, earlier than expected.

Hope: (Laughs) Just in time for my wedding. Oh, my God, this is-- I mean, this is so meant to be. You are supposed to be here.

Deacon: Baby, I wanted to be here today. I wanted it more than anything, for us to have this little bit of time together. But I-- I can't be at your wedding.

Hope: It's okay. I understand. Oh, my gosh. Um, it's--it's getting late. I...

Deacon: Uh, Hope, wait, please--please, let's just-- let's just have a couple-- a couple more minutes together. Please.

Katie: Tell me what's happening.

Marcus: Sorry, Aunt Katie. I didn't realize you were still in the building.

Katie: Mm-hmm.

Marcus: I don't know what you heard.

Katie: Enough to know that my husband is up to something. I want to know everything you know, Marcus.

Hope: Did you really think about me?

Deacon: A lot.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Hope: I think birthdays were the worst. Every year, I wou-- I would wake up, and--and I would-- yeah, I-I would just think that this year he's going to contact me, this year he's going to reach out to me. But you didn't. Not a call, not a card. Eventually, I just gave up. I just gave up thinking that you cared about me.

Deacon: Please believe this. Hope, I never, ever wanted to cause you any pain.

Hope: I believe you.

Deacon: Good.

Hope: I'm sorry, I still feel like there's just something that you're not saying. Maybe it's the way you look at me or--I-I don't know. I don't know.

Deacon: I-I'm sor--it's-- I--it's weird. I just--you're so good, and you're so sweet...

Hope: (Giggles)

Deacon: And kind, and you should--I don't know. You should yell at me or punch me or--or...

Hope: (Laughs)

Deacon: Or lash out at me or something.

Hope: Well... I'm sorry to disappoint you, but... I could never hate you. I know that it was bad between you and my mom. I-I know that. I mean, she made it clear that she didn't want you around.

Deacon: Yeah. Um...

Hope: I'm looking at you right now, and I can tell that you've been feeling the same thing that I have. You've missed me just as much.

Deacon: Your mom did what she thought was right. At one point, she actually-- she got a restraining order, Hope. And you know, that--that's-- that's cool. She did what she thought was best.

Hope: No. No.

Deacon: You can't trust me. You can never trust me.

Hope: I know that there were problems for you and my mom. But I'm looking at you now, and I know that you would never, ever hurt me.

(Cell phone rings)

Alison: Are they panicking yet?

Bill: Not much. But they realize she's late. Deacon still with her?

Alison: Yes. He knows to call when she's leaving.

Bill: There's a car waiting for her. Get rid of it now.

Hope: Oh, I really have to go. I--okay, it's getting late. I should call them and let them know I'm on my way. Where's my phone? Oh, I thought I left it right here. You know what, I'm just-- I'm gonna have to call them from the limo, I guess.

Deacon: Hope. Hope, wait a second. Wait. Um, this guy you're marrying, I-I don't know him, but for--for you to love him the way you do, well, I suppose he must be pretty terrific.

Hope: (Chuckles)

Deacon: I'm happy for you. Baby, I'm happy for both of you.

Hope: (Chuckles) (Sighs) (Sighs)

Deacon: Go. Go get married.

Hope: You'll be here when I get back, right? Promise me you'll be here.

Deacon: I'm back in your life now. Go on. Go on, get out of here.

Hope: Okay. Thank you. (Chuckles)

Deacon: Thank you.

Hope: (Laughs)

Deacon: (Sighs) (Sighs)

Man: How many Euros?

Alison: You heard me?

Man: If I leave without the bride?

Alison: Yes. Now. Call me if she tries to contact you.

Liam: Okay, I mean, I g-- I get that she needed some time to collect herself, but did she say, like, how long?

Ridge: I thought she'd be right behind us. I guess not.

Liam: I mean, she would call, right? I mean, if something were wrong, she'd call?

Brooke: Yes, of course. Nothing's wrong.

Hope: (Breathing heavily) Oh, no, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wait! Wait! Wait. Where are you going? This is my wedding day! Come back!
