[Steffy remembering]
Bill: Until the minister says they are man and wife, there is still a chance. Don't give up. Anything could happen, and you'll want to be there when it does.
Steffy: (Sighs)
Hope: Hey. It won't be long now.
Liam: (Sighs) Did you get any sleep?
Hope: No. I'm far too excited.
Brooke: You don't want to be jet-lagged for your wedding.
Hope: Are you kidding? We've waited so long for this. I don't want to miss a second of it.
Ridge: Steffy, you haven't slept, either?
Steffy: Too busy. (Sighs) Got a few days in Italy. Might as well set up some P.R.
Brooke: This isn't a business trip.
Steffy: Well, it's not exactly a vacation, either.
Alison: I can't do anything about the weather.
Bill: (Sighs)
Alison: We weren't on the ground that long.
Bill: Over half the night, hours that the warden and Deacon can use to figure out a way out of this.
Alison: Why would Deacon want out of your deal? He's being released from prison today.
Bill: And because of that, he owes me-- not a position he wants to be in.
Alison: You don't seem thrilled about it, either.
Bill: Well, no, Alison, I'm not thrilled. I don't particularly enjoy dealing with scumbags. But because of my son's decision, I have no choice, and this is my last chance to pull his butt out of he fire. Hope Logan cannot marry my son. And daddy dearest-- he's gonna help me keep that from happening.
(Buzzer)
Deacon: Warden.
Warden: I just received another call from our mutual friend.
Deacon: Your friend maybe.
Warden: We're back on schedule.
Deacon: So Bill Spencer says "Gimme," and you just turn me loose?
Warden: You're being released. You should be a happy man.
Deacon: I'm trading my cell for a leash. Warden, you owe a guy like Bill Spencer, you're not free.
Liam: All right, here we are...
(Tablet beeps)
Liam: On the plane ride to Italy. My beautiful bride.
Hope: Hi. Is that recording?
Liam: Yeah, you heard the-- the beep, didn't you?
Hope: Yeah. Hi.
Liam: Hello.
Hope: (Giggles)
Liam: I want to document everything. Okay, let's see. Steffy! Hi.
Steffy: Hi.
Liam: What you doing?
Steffy: Boring hours of video footage. Great.
Liam: (Chuckles) Aw, Steffy, you couldn't be boring if you tried.
Steffy: Yeah, yeah, whatever.
(Camera shutter clicks)
Liam: (Laughs) My new app.
Steffy: What? Wait. Ha, and too late I deleted this.
Liam: No, hey!
Hope: No, hey, come here. I want to see that. Come here.
Liam: Yeah?
Hope: Yeah.
Liam: You wanna see your-- your handsome groom?
Hope: Yes.
Liam: All right. Huh?
Hope: (Laughs)
Liam: Right?
Hope: Attractive.
Liam: Right?
Hope: Yes. Oh, my. Mom, look at this guy.
Brooke: Oh, my gosh! Maybe you want to rethink your decision.
Hope: What? Not a chance!
Liam: (Chuckles)
Ridge: Logan, check this out. Check out these olive groves.
Brooke: Ooh.
Ridge: I wonder if these giant olive trees produce giant olives. (Chuckles)
Brooke: (Chuckles) Now what would you do with giant olives?
Ridge: Put them in a giant martini, of course.
Hope: (Chuckles)
Liam: I'm in.
Hope: Cheers.
Ridge: Yeah.
Brooke: Cheers, cheers.
Alison: The last time you interfered in Liam's relationship, you almost lost him.
Bill: Alison, do you think I need you to tell me that it's a risk? I don't. If Liam marries Hope, he can kiss everything good-bye-- his ambitions, his aspirations. It doesn't matter how high he sets his sights. That albatross will drag him down. Steffy lifted him up. She understood his needs.
(Intercom buzzes)
Bill: Yeah? Okay. Uh, keep the engines running. As soon as Sharpe's on this plane, wheels up, headed to Italy. We're landing. (Sighs)
Bill: Where is he?
Warden: This isn't a public library, Mr. Spencer. You can't simply just check a prisoner out. There are procedures.
Bill: And it's your job to find your way around those procedures... unless, of course, you want the, uh, wife and adorable kids to find out what a lying, cheating weasel you really are.
Warden: Deacon Sharpe's personal effects.
Bill: Passport in there?
Warden: Should be. It's on the inventory. Aren't you even gonna check? I thought you were so interested in the man, you may want to take a look.
Bill: I'm not remotely interested in Sharpe, just what he can do for me.
Warden: I can only assume it's something unpleasant.
Bill: If it wasn't unpleasant, Warden, I wouldn't need a convict to do it.
Brooke: (Quietly) You look worried.
Ridge: (Quietly) A little. I'm concerned about Steffy.
Brooke: Mm. What if she's not ready for this?
Ridge: Isn't that kind of the point-- if she's strong enough to be part of this wedding, then she's strong enough to move on with her life?
Brooke: She seems really positive right now. But this could end up being incredibly painful for her.
Liam: Hey, so I think I have another, uh, movie we could watch.
Hope: You know what? I think I'm gonna talk to Steffy for a little bit, see how she's doing.
Liam: Uh, I don't think Steffy's in a very talkative mood.
Hope: Mm.
Liam: I know. But she's here, you know? She wants to make peace.
Hope: Yeah. So don't push?
Liam: (Stammers) Baby steps, like with my dad, you know.
Hope: Yeah, well, I mean, I-I-I--at least, I-I think that Steffy really wants this to work. Your dad, uh, not so much.
Liam: Hey. Hey. Listen.
Hope: Hmm?
Liam: Don't worry about my dad. He's my best man, right? I mean, he knows you're the one I want. Okay, so he's not thrilled about it, but be patient.
Hope: (Sighs)
Liam: And give it time. It'll work out.
Hope: You're right. You're right. You're right. (Inhales sharply) You know, at least Steffy is here. She's--she's traveling with us. She's standing up at our wedding.
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: In a million years, who would have thought?
Liam: (Chuckles) I know.
Hope: Life is full of surprises. Okay, I'm gonna go change before we land, okay?
Liam: Okay.
Hope: All right.
Liam: (Sighs) So Hope's gonna go change.
Steffy: Oh, yeah. She told me not to worry. She'll loan me whatever I need.
Liam: Yeah. Hey.
Steffy: Hmm?
Liam: You okay?
Steffy: You mean, have I been looking for a parachute?
Liam: Are you?
Steffy: No. But if my being here bugs you at all--
Liam: It doesn't.
Steffy: Won't it be weird, having me in the wedding party? (Chuckles)
Liam: No. I think it's great. I think it says a lot about Hope for asking you, and I think it says a lot about you for agreeing.
Steffy: I'm glad I came.
Bill: Deacon Sharpe in the house. It is show time, my friend.
Deacon: I was starting to think you weren't gonna come.
Bill: If I had any other choice, I wouldn't have. Warden tells me everything's in order. And should anything go wrong, he'll tell the authorities you tried to escape.
Bill: Warden, tell us what's behind door 403.
Warden: Open 403.
(Buzzer)
(Hinge squeals)
Warden: That's not necessary. Deacon Sharpe, you are no longer an inmate at this facility.
Bill: What are you waiting for, some of your cellmates to give you a kiss good-bye? Let's go. Move it. Attaboy. You see, everyone cooperates, everyone wins.
Deacon: Not everyone.
Bill: Pretty grumpy for a guy who just got out of prison.
Ridge: Would you tell me if this was all just too difficult for you?
Steffy: Well, you know, maybe I didn't think it through, but I'm here now. I can't turn back.
Ridge: You could always stay in the jet, fly up to Milano, go to visit some friends in London or something else.
Steffy: No, no, Dad. It's fine. I'm here. I can't change my mind.
Ridge: (Sighs)
Hope: Mm.
Liam: Look, I found pictures on the internet.
Hope: Oh, my God. That's incredible.
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: Oh, I had no idea that Puglia was so beautiful.
Brooke: Olive groves along the Adriatic coast. It's very romantic.
Liam: Yeah, right? It looks like something out of "A thousand and one nights."
Brooke: It is very medieval in that region.
Hope: Oh, I don't know what the nightlife is like. I hope Steffy doesn't get bored.
Liam: Uh, something tells me she didn't tag along for the club scene.
Brooke: Why do you think she did tag along?
Steffy: I just think it's important for me to be there.
Ridge: There are a lot less painful ways to get closure, Sweetheart.
(Intercom buzzes)
Ridge: Yeah, Kyle? Great. All right, thanks. We're cleared to land.
Hope: Hey, so... I'm gonna be pretty busy once we land. Um, so we probably won't see a lot of each other... unless you want to be more involved.
Steffy: Oh. No, I'm, um, I'm gonna keep a low profile until the ceremony.
Hope: Okay. I want you to know how much this means to me that you're here.
Steffy: I'm glad you asked.
Hope: Really?
Steffy: Yeah. You know... (Sighs) I don't know how I'm going to feel when you and Liam are standing up at the altar. It might not be easy on me.
Hope: Mm-hmm.
Steffy: But you know, after everything we've been through, it kind of seems like I should be here, you know? My marriage is over. Liam is marrying you. But that doesn't mean he's no longer a part of my life. We're still so connected.
Hope: Yeah.
Steffy: Yeah.
Hope: We--we all are. I mean, so much has happened, and it's changed all of us, and we've grown. I mean, I'm no longer relying on pills and other people's opinions to feel good about myself. And...
Ridge: Sweetheart, we're all very proud of you for that, too.
Hope: I think you should be proud of Steffy... and Bill, too.
Liam: (Chuckles)
Hope: I mean, a few months ago, I think that they both have been trying to stop this wedding, but you're here, and that means so much. Thank you, Steffy.
Steffy: No more games. You have my word I just want to be there for you... the both of you.
Liam: Thank you, Steffy. That means a lot.
Hope: (Inhales sharply) Oh, my gosh. (Sighs) It's really happening. We're having a wedding. (Giggles)
Deacon: (Sighs)
Bill: The sweet smell of freedom. Of course, you won't be enjoying it for long if you screw this up. Get in the car.
Deacon: Where are we going?
Bill: Airport.
Deacon: L.A.?
Bill: Italy.
Deacon: Hope's wedding.
Bill: Attaboy. You've done your research. Did you find out any fun facts about me?
Deacon: (Chuckles)
Bill: Fine. Let me tell you what I know about you. You don't care about Hope, and you haven't thought about her since se was a baby.
Deacon: You don't know a damn thing about how I feel, because if you did, you wouldn't ask me to do this-
Bill: I'm not asking you. Now you do this right, you and my son will be a free man.
Deacon: You now, "Billy boy," you're a real heartless son of a bitch.
Bill: The "Son of a bitch" part I'll own. Heartless--if that were true, you'd still be sitting in your rat hole, and I wouldn't be doing any of this.
Hope: Oh, there's the wheel of the old olive press! Masseria San Domenico. Oh, my God. Oh, my God.
Liam: Look at that. Look at that.
Hope: (Gasps) This is gorgeous.
Liam: Yeah.
Hope: (Giggles) Wow.
Man: Benvenuto.
Hope: Oh.
Man: Welcome to Masseria San Domenico.
Hope: Uh, Francesco? Oh, hi, I'm Hope Logan. We spoke on the phone.
Francesco: Signorina, you are even more beautiful than your picture.
Hope: Oh.
Francesco: Welcome to Masseria San Domenico.
Hope: Grazie. This is my fiancé, Liam Spencer.
Francesco: Pleased to meet you, Sir.
Liam: Buon giorno.
Francesco: Buon giorno. Please feel free to look around the property and make yourself at home.
Hope: Oh, thank you so much.
Liam: Thanks.
Alison: We've been cleared for takeoff. The pilot says we can be in the air as soon as you're ready.
Bill: Give Alison your passport.
Deacon: I'm gonna need that back when we're done, Darling.
Bill: You'll get it back after you've done your job.
Deacon: I'm gonna need some money, too.
Bill: Don't worry, Deacon. You take care of your daughter...
Deacon: (Sighs)
Bill: And I'll take care of you.
Deacon: I'm curious, why do you hate her so much?
Bill: I don't hate her. I just hate the idea of her being married to my son. Liam had ample opportunity to correct his mistake, but he didn't, so I have to take care of it for him.
Deacon: Well, just between us two guys, it doesn't sound like you're gonna be doing a damn thing at all, are you?
Bill: I'm going to be doing everything, including using you as the vehicle to keep your daughter from ruining my son's life.
Hope: Oh, it is so beautiful.
Liam: Yeah, it is.
Hope: Can you believe it? And tomorrow, we meet with the minister in Alberobello.
Liam: Alberobello. Alberobello. I-I-I just like saying it. (Imitating Italian words)
Hope: What is--what does that--what does that mean? What is that?
Liam: It--it means that would swim the Adriatic for you. I would climb the highest olive tree for you. I--
Hope: I don't think that's what you were saying that. Those aren't words. (Laughs)
Liam: Ti ameró per sempre.
Hope: Mm. Say that again.
Liam: Ti ameró per sempre.
Hope: (Laughs)
Brooke: Oh, it's beautiful.
Ridge: Logan, you have really outdone yourself.
Francesco: Signora Logan.
Brooke: (Sighs) Francesco, buon giorno.
Francesco: I just met your beautiful daughter and her fiancé.
Brooke: Oh, great. And this is Ridge and my stepdaughter Steffy.
Ridge: Ciao, Francesco.
Francesco: Benvenuto. I hope, uh, this visit will be everything that you wish.
Steffy: Thank you. Excuse me.
Brooke: Yes, it will be everything that we've dreamed of-- a wedding in paradise.
Steffy: (Sighs)
