Steffy: (Sighs)  (Laughs)

Brooke: Let him go, Steffy. As soon as your divorce is final, Hope and Liam are getting married.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: Mm. Just think--once we're married I won't have to drive all the way over here for a good morning kiss.

Liam: Oh, such a waste of gas!

Hope: I know, but it's totally worth it.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Hope: (Chuckles) And our wedding will be here before we know it.

Liam: I know.

Hope: I know. (Giggles) You know, moving out really was a good thing for me. I feel so much better. I-I feel like--like a weight has been lifted. (Sighs)

Liam: Yeah, you know, I just... (Sighs) All I wanted was for you to be okay.

Hope: And I am. I-I-I'm getting there. I think I still have some work to do, but I'm seeing Dr. Barton again today.

Liam: Yeah?

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Liam: You know, she's really helped you.

Hope: She has. She really has. I-I didn't even realize, you know, all the things that I had buried inside. And she's helping me see that...

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: And dealing with it. I am in control of my life again.

Justin: So Dollar Bill Spencer is gonna be a daddy. Congratulations.

Bill: You can put that hand back in your pocket. This is not necessarily something to celebrate.

Justin: Why? 'Cause it's still early?

Bill: You're forgetting about Katie's heart transplant.

Justin: Oh. Yeah.

Bill: It's dangerous. I could lose her if she goes through with this, Justin.

Justin: (Sighs) Hey, come on, don't think like that, man.

Bill: Well, sorry, but I'm not ready to pass out any cigars just yet. And besides that, w-w-what am I gonna do with another kid? I-I can barely handle the one I have, and he didn't come into my life until he was all grown up.

Justin: I mean, he is a young man with adult problems, but his divorce with Steffy will be official soon.

Bill: And then he can marry Hope, which I am not going to let happen.

Justin: What are you gonna do to stop it?

Bill: I'm going to get a little help from Alison. She's earning a big fat bonus right about now.

Alison: I just never thought I'd be the type of woman who falls in love with her boss, uh, let alone a boss that's married.

Dr. Barton: Well, we're not always attracted to people who are necessarily the healthiest for us.

Alison: Oh, no, I'm not attracted to him, not physically, no. I mean, my boss is much, much older than I, quite overweight, almost completely bald. He's a very, very wee man, sweaty palms, sort of a pushover. But Willie is just so incredibly kind.

(Telephone rings)

Dr. Barton: Uh, uh, you must forgive me. My secretary's out, and I am expecting an--an important call. Sorry.

Justin: So you told Alison to put a bug in Hope's psychiatrist's office?

Bill: Admit it-- brilliant, isn't it?

Justin: No, illegal.

Bill: Necessary, Justin. I need unfiltered access into that messed-up head of Hope's.

Justin: (Sighs)

Bill: I want my son to be happy, and since Aspen, I am convinced more than ever that she is unstable and neurotic. Hell, she's gotta be. I mean, why--why else is she seeing a shrink?

Justin: Seeing a therapist doesn't mean someone's unstable.

Bill: Well, sure it does. I mean, look at me. I'm stable, and I don't see a shrink.

Justin: (Scoffs) Yeah, right. Right.

Bill: That little bug is gonna help me figure out how to get Hope away from Liam before she marries him and before she completely screws up his life.

Dr. Barton: Alison, it was a pleasure to meet you. Let me get you one of my cards so that if you feel like making an appointment, you'll have all my information.

Alison: Well, I, uh, hope that won't be necessary. You've been so helpful already, Dr. Barton, more than you realize.

Dr. Barton: Oh.

Alison: Thank you very much for everything.

Dr. Barton: You're very welcome, very welcome. Please don't hesitate to call, and I have both my cell and my office on there.

Alison: Thank you again.

Liam: I am so glad Dr. Barton's helping you this much.

Hope: Mm.

Liam: Yeah.

Hope: I-I really--I do feel like I have this whole new perspective. I'm actually kind of glad that Steffy didn't sign the annulment papers.

Liam: You--why? Well, why do you say that?

Hope: Yeah. I feel like I needed this time to get myself together before our wedding, so I suppose I should thank her for that.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: Liam, I am me again. And when you look into my eyes and say your vows, you are going to be marrying the girl you fell in love with. (Sighs) Mm.

Brooke: I heard what you did in Aspen.

Steffy: I signed the annulment papers. I was trying to do the right thing. What, I don't get any brownie points for that?

Brooke: You can't tell Hope.

Steffy: I wasn't planning on it.

Brooke: As soon as your divorce is official, Hope and Liam are getting married. And there's nothing that's going to keep that wedding from happening.

Steffy: Then why do you look so worried?

Brooke: Don't read too much into what Liam did. He didn't accept those annulment papers because--

Steffy: He didn't not just accept those papers. He tore them up, and he threw them down the river.

Brooke: He did it out of respect for you. It's not like he changed his mind.

Steffy: Well, for whatever reason, Liam and I are still married. And I really believe that Liam is gonna realize that he wants to stay married to me.

Brooke: What are you planning, Steffy?

Steffy: I'm not planning anything. I'm not trying to manipulate anyone. I don't want to play these games, Brooke.

Brooke: (Scoffs) Right. Okay. I've heard this before.

Steffy: All right, you know what? When I was leaving for Aspen, you shoved those annulment papers in my face. You practically begged me to sign them. I did what you asked, and you're here still hassling me.

Brooke: Because I am concerned for my daughter. I want her wedding to be very peaceful and stress-free. And I don't want you ruining it for her.

Steffy: Then fine, I'll stay of it. Look, if Liam... goes to Italy, that'll be his decision. I am not going to beg or plead. But you are right to be concerned about Hope. Nobody knows which way this is gonna go. But I do think Liam's gonna end up with me. (Sighs)

Justin: Bugging a shrink's office? It--you--you better hope you don't get busted.

Bill: What's with you? What--what--what happened to my buddy, my Justin, who used to have a set of--

Justin: Hey, hey, hey, look, I'm the lawyer. I'm supposed to be the voice of reason.

Bill: That doesn't mean you can't loosen up a little bit. How about having a little fun? You know what? I got it. You're gonna take out my sister.

Justin: (Sighs)

Bill: She lives in L.A. now. She's gotta be sick and tired of hanging out with just a roommate. I think she's in the market for a new man.

Justin: Yeah... (Sighs) You know, I mean, Karen, she's--she's a great woman, you know. I just don't think I'm her type.

Bill: Why not? What's wrong with you? What's that look for?

Justin: Oh.

Bill: You know what? I've had enough of you. Beat it. Get out of here.

Justin: Yeah, look, I'll be in my office. Buzz me if you--

Bill: Yeah, promise? Bye. Go.

Justin: Buzz me if you need me. Yeah. He's all yours. (Sighs)

Bill: What took you so long?

Alison: Do you see wings?

Bill: No, I see horns and a dragon tail. How'd it go with the shrink?

Alison: I can't believe I just did that.

Bill: So it worked?

Alison: The little buggy found a new home in Dr. Barton's office.

Bill: Sweet.

Alison: It's synched to your cell phone. All you have to do is call that number. When you do, the device automatically turns on, and you'll be able to listen in. Hope's due at the office any moment.

Bill: All right, well, let's give it a whirl here.

(Knock on door)

(Footsteps)

(Door opens)

Dr. Barton: Hello, Hope.

Hope: Hello, Dr. Barton.

Dr. Barton: Come on in.

Hope: Thank you.

Dr. Barton: Have a seat.

Hope: You know, I am very excited about today's session.

Dr. Barton: Really?

Hope: Yeah.

Dr. Barton: Well, things have been going well then?

Hope: They have. I feel like I've been opening up a lot more.

Dr. Barton: Good for you.

Hope: Thank you.

Dr. Barton: I'm very proud of you, Hope. Now as usual, I'm going to say that everything that happens in this office is confidential-- just between the two of us.

Steffy: (Laughs)

(Audience laughter)

Steffy: (Laughs)

(Cartoon noises)

(Audience laughter)

Steffy: (Laughs) Oh, hey.

(Video stops)

Liam: Hey.

(Knocks)

Liam:  Busy?

Steffy: Uh, no. No. I was, um, I was just taking a-a little break, watching some Bob Hope clips.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: Yeah, it always puts me in a good mood. But then again, so do you.

Liam: (Clicks tongue)

Steffy: I don't know what you're doing standing in my doorway, but I'm glad you are.

(Brooke remembering)

Steffy:  Nobody knows which way this is gonna go. But I think Liam's gonna wind up with me.

(Present time)

Marcus: Hey, Auntie.

Brooke: Oh. (Sighs)

Dayzee: Aren't you supposed to be the happy mother of the bride-to-be?

Brooke: Oh, yes! Yes, of course. Indeed. I am. (Chuckles)

Marcus: It's coming up pretty soon, right?

Brooke: (Sighs)

Dayzee: Hope's gonna be a really beautiful bride.

Brooke: Oh, and so are you. Did you set a date yet?

Dayzee: Oh, um, we actually have two or three in mind.

Marcus: Yeah, we got it taken care of. It just can't come soon enough for me, though.

Dayzee: (Laughs) Every morning we wake up, and he asks me if we can just go to the courthouse and get married.

Brooke: What?!

Marcus: Okay, so shoot me, all right? I'm anxious.

Brooke: Gosh.

Marcus: But I want you to have your dream wedding, so I will go to ask many cake testing things as possible.

Dayzee: Thank you.

Marcus: Mwah.

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Marcus: So Hope and Liam, they're getting married in Italy?

Brooke: Puglia.

Dayzee: Puglia.

Marcus: P-P-Pugli--huh?

Dayzee: Puglia.

Marcus: Oh. Puglia.

Dayzee: Puglia. (Chuckles) (gasps) Wow.

Marcus: Oh.

Brooke: Isn't that pretty?

Dayzee: That is beautiful.

Marcus: Wow. That sure is.

Brooke: Yes. (Sighs) Yeah, they've been through so much, but all of that's almost over, and Hope and Liam have a wonderful future to look forward to.

Dayzee: (Chuckles)

Steffy: I like you a lot better than my last visitor. Brooke was here.

Liam: Ah.

Steffy: Yeah.

Liam: You, too, huh?

Steffy: Yeah. She, uh, wanted to talk about what happened in Aspen.

Liam: You signing the annulment papers?

Steffy: And you ripping up the papers in a million little pieces.

Liam: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Steffy: I didn't tell her what happened after that.

Liam: (Clears throat)

Steffy: Besides marrying you on top of that mountain, that was the best day of my life.

Liam: Hey, um...

(Knocks on desk)

Liam:  Listen, I know how hard that was for you, signing those papers.

Steffy: Yeah. Yeah, I went to all that trouble, sprained knee and all.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: And then I gave you the papers, and you ripped them up...

Liam: Yeah, I did.

Steffy: And you threw them down the river.

Liam: (Laughs)

Steffy: (Laughs)

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: It was beautiful. I'll never forget it.

Liam: (Sighs)

Hope: So you know I moved out of Liam's.

Dr. Barton: And that was your decision, correct, because of your conflicted feelings?

Hope: Yeah, I never should have moved in with him in the first place. It was mistake. You know, and--and I didn't know how much it was really affecting me until the accident with Steffy, and--and I just realized how destructive I was being.

Bill: (Whispering) Do you believe people take this crap seriously? Are you paying attention?

Alison: You don't have to whisper. They can't hear us. And no, I'm not listening. I have stuff to do.

Bill: Shh! Shh! Shh!

Hope: I feel okay about myself again.

Dr. Barton: You haven't had an urge to take a pill

Hope: No. I'm not anxious. I am--I am exhilarated. I mean, I am--I am so excited about my wedding with Liam and--and our future together.

Dr. Barton: However, I-I do still feel that there's something in your past that we need to delve into a bit further.

Hope: Okay. Uh, what?

Dr. Barton: Your father.

Hope: I've never known my father.

Dr. Barton: How does that make you feel?

Dayzee: You know, we actually haven't even decided about the honeymoon yet.

Marcus: Well--well, she wants to go backpacking in Europe...

Dayzee: Mm-hmm.

Marcus: Which I'm totally cool with. It's whatever you want to do. I'll be there as long as you're there, and I'm happy.

Dayzee: Mm-hmm.

Marcus: But we can't be away too long, because I can't stand being away from my little Rosey.

Dayzee: Oh, me, either. She's so cute.

Brooke: (Laughs)

Marcus: Mm-hmm.

Dayzee: (Laughs) Um, actually, we wanted to come and talk to you, because we just don't want our wedding plans to interfere with Hope's.

Brooke: (Sighs) No, not at all. Uh, this is a very exciting time for all of us-- for you, Marcus and Hope and Liam. I'm very happy for you, very happy for my daughter. And I'm gonna make sure that... (Sighs) nobody interferes with her happiness.

Steffy: Wow. (Sighs) A wedding in Italy...

Liam: Mm-hmm.

Steffy: Doesn't get more romantic than that.

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: Next to Aspen, it's one of my favorite places in the world.

Liam: You know, I've never been.

Steffy: Well, you're gonna love it. You may never come back.

Liam: Oh, stop it. Then who would I reminisce about Bob Hope films with?

Steffy: That is true. That is true.

Liam: Right?

Steffy: (Chuckles) Look, um... no matter what happens... I don't think you can make a mistake. You know, Hope has her frailties...

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: But she also has some great strong points, too.

Liam: (Imitates explosion)

Steffy: Oh, okay. You--whatever, all right?

Liam: (Laughs)

Steffy: I-I-I know it doesn't--it seems that I'm--I'm taking this lightly, but I'm not, 'cause, you know, I-I want to be your wife. But this is your life. This is your future. And if you want me... you know where to find me.

Liam: (Inhales sharply)

Steffy: Thanks for the memories. Hopefully, we can have... many more.

Hope: My father--honestly, I don't think about it much.

Bill: I knew it. Hope's got daddy issues.

Dr. Barton: You don't think about it or you don't allow yourself to think about it?

Hope: He just--you know, he--he doesn't matter to me. I-I've gone my whole life without him. It's been fine. (Chuckles)

Dr. Barton: You really honestly think it's fine-- you not knowing your father, given the circumstances?

Hope: I just--I don't think we really need to talk about him.

Dr. Barton: Hope, I think it's important. You're safe here. It's just us, hmm?

Hope: (Sighs)

Dr. Barton: Why don't you tell me how you feel when you think about your father?

Hope: (Sighs) Yeah, yeah, you know, I-I guess I am... curious about him. And part of me wishes that he--he wanted to know me.

Dr. Barton: Maybe he does.

Hope: No, he doesn't. He--he's never contacted me. Uh, I don't-- you know, maybe I would like to have my father in my life. I-I don't--I don't know. I really don't know what I would do if I saw the infamous Deacon Sharpe face-to-face.

Bill: Get me some info on this guy.

Alison: There he is.

Bill: Hello, Hope's daddy. You are the key to Liam's happiness, Mr. Deacon Sharpe.
