Steffy: You're free. (Chuckles)

Brooke: Are you doing all right, Honey?

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Brooke: Well, you still haven't told me why you left Aspen without Liam.

Hope: I... (Sighs) I'm sure you have a million questions right now, but I-I think I'd rather talk to Dr. Barton first.

Brooke: (Sighs) It's good that Stacy could fit you in.

Hope: Let me guess-- you two have already talked about this? (Sighs)

Brooke: After what you told me, how the press kept coming after you in Aspen, I was a little concerned, so I did talk to Dr. Barton, and she tried giving you call. Unfortunately, it kept going through to your voicemail.

Hope: Yeah, well, you were right. It was... (Sighs) Too much. I did something really stupid, and Steffy paid the price... Liam, too. It really was a wake-up call.

Bill: Why am I just hearing about this now?

Ramona: Steffy's fine. She's already been released from the hospital.

Bill: Well, that's the good news. The bad news is, from what you tell me, she's suspicious as hell.

Ramona: Steffy's perceptive. She sensed you were behind the press going after Hope.

Bill: Which you denied.

Ramona: Of course.

Bill: Where's my son?

Ramona: He insisted on taking Steffy back to the Spencer compound to recover after she was released.

Bill: And what about Hope?

Ramona: Oh, Hope's fine. She wasn't injured.

Bill: She probably wouldn't have felt it if she had been.

Ramona: I don't follow.

Bill: You don't need to. (Sighs) Hope was probably high as a kite when she plowed into Steffy.

Steffy: Never let it be said I'm not full of surprises.

Liam: (Sighs) Steffy, why not sign the annulment papers now?

Steffy: Liam, things have spun totally out of control. We got Hope being chased by the press like a-- like a virgin witch hunt, you pulling out your hair trying to juggle a blond and a brunette-- both whack jobs, as far as I'm concerned. And me... I keep winding up in a hospital-- first Cabo and now a sprained knee, not to mention a toboggan ride from hell. You know, at this rate, these vacations, they're gonna kill me. So it's-- it's gotta end... somewhere. Why not here where it all began?

Dr. Barton: (Sighs)

Brooke: I'm gonna leave no so you both can talk privately.

Hope: Oh, you know what? Will you stay, actually? I mean, if that's okay with you. I just--I just feel like both of you need to know everything that happened.

Dr. Barton: Very well. So... (Sighs) I understand from your mother that things in Aspen didn't go as you expected.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: Hope and Liam were staying at his father's retreat. It's very private, and they thought they'd be able to get away from the paparazzi there.

Hope: Yeah.

Dr. Barton: And obviously, you weren't.

Hope: No. The paparazzi was always on my trail. It's like they knew my every move before I even made it. (Scoffs) I just wanted to be with Liam. I just wanted to be alone with him, to reconnect with him. And I really thought that Aspen was the answer. And it was... just not the way I imagined. Come for a smoke? Yeah.

Brooke: On the way in from the airport, you said something about Steffy and Liam paying the price.

Hope: (Sighs)

Brooke: You never did really explain that.

Hope: I'm really sorry Steffy got hurt, and I'm really sorry that I took that pill.

Dr. Barton: What pill?

Hope: I'm sure my mom told you about the pills that I got online. (Sighs)

Dr. Barton: And I'm sure I don't have to tell you how dangerous that is to order medication online, especially without a prescription.

Hope: I know.

Dr. Barton: All right.

Hope: I know. I wasn't thinking. And I haven't been thinking for a long time.

Dr. Barton: What have you been doing, Hope?

Hope: (Sighs) Running... from... the press, from my fans, from myself. (Sighs)

Brooke: Honey, none of that s your fault.

Hope: (Scoffs) Mom, I-I really love you for saying that.

Brooke: You're not responsible for that--

Hope: No, Mom, I am responsible for the choices that I've made. I never should have gone skiing after taking that pill. God, but there were-- there were paparazzi everywhere. They were all around Bill's house. They were taking pictures of me through the windows.

Brooke: Oh, God.

Hope: (Sighs) I should have called Liam instead. I know that. But I was falling apart, and I didn't want them to see me like that. So I took the pill and then I stupidly went skiing once Liam got home.

Dr. Barton: Without telling him you were medicated?

Hope: Yep. And that's when I crashed into Steffy and then just skied off without even making sure that she was okay. (Sighs) Who does that? What kind of person does that? I mean, I-I know that I have issues with Steffy, but I never would have done something like that to her had I been myself, and that's the thing. I-I'm--I'm not myself. And that has to change. And it will starting right now.

Alison: I still don't think you should do it.

Bill: (Sighs)

Alison: If you call Steffy to check on her, that could raise all sorts of questions. Besides, Ramona says she's with Liam, right? That should make you happy.

Bill: I just want to make sure she's really all right.

Alison: You can call the hospital there, speak to her doctor.

Bill: There are medical privacy rules. The doctor won't tell me squat.

Alison: Why? You're family.

Bill: (Sighs)

Alison: She's still your daughter-in-law.

Bill: And she's gonna stay that way if I have anything to do about it.

Alison: "If"? You're the one who orchestrated things in Aspen, trying to prove Hope doesn't have the stuff to be Mrs. Liam Spencer III.

Bill: And where did you hear that?

Alison: In this office from your very lips.

Bill: You want to rethink your answer?

Alison: Liam's very lucky having such a protective, loving father.

Bill: Better.

Steffy: Enough people have been hurt, Liam.

Liam: You, especially.

Steffy: The lengths I've gone to to try to hold our marriage together-- it's insane. It shouldn't be that hard. But I guess that's what it does to you. It makes you crazy when you've never really felt it before. I had good intentions fighting for our marriage, but it shouldn't be a fight. So you're free, Liam. Our--our marriage is over. But our wonderful memories... long may they live.

Dr. Barton: Sounds like Steffy's accident was a clarifying moment for you.

Hope: She could have been seriously hurt because of me, because of the bad choices that I made.

Brooke: Sweetheart, don't do this to yourself.

Hope: No, Mom, I've--I've made things so much worse. I've been insensitive. I left Steffy on the slopes. Thank God Liam came down when he did. Honestly, I'm surprised that he's even talking to me right now.

Brooke: He knows what you've been going through.

Dr. Barton: He knows you took another pill?

Hope: I told him everything.

Dr. Barton: How did he react?

Hope: Concerned about how out of control my life is. (Sighs)

Dr. Barton: "Out of control"-- how did you feel about that?

Hope: I feel like he's right. I did a lot of soul-searching... (Sighs) On the plane ride back, and... right now I feel like I'm at a crossroads. You know, I-I've got to find a way to reconcile my values and my principles with the way that I am living my life. Isn't that what it all comes down to?

Dr. Barton: Yeah.

Hope: (Sighs)

Dr. Barton: I mean, you've been in conflict with yourself for quite some time now. You know, you've made some choices, and they haven't worked for you. And now you seem ready to--to make changes, you know? That's--that sounds like you've been doing a lot of thinking. I-I'd really like to know what you're thinking. I-I want to hear your conclusions.

Alison: I don't get it. I'm just trying to understand why you're so intent on getting Hope out of your son's life.

Bill: I'm not particularly concerned about whether you understand it or not. It's not like I enjoy going behind my son's back.

Alison: It could backfire.

Bill: Well, that's a risk I'm willing to take if it means my son realizes how wrong Hope is for him and how right Steffy is. Steffy's good for him. She loves him.

Alison: Enough to let him go?

Steffy: It's been a good time, you know, like one of those old-fashioned comedies... (Sighs) Literally chasing after each other.

Liam: Yeah. (Chuckles)

Steffy: (Chuckles) From Aspen-- the whole gondola thing-- all the way to the tip of Mexico-- that TV chase. What were we doing? My bogus brain injury, now a bum knee.

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: You know, if this goes on, I-I'm going to hire a stunt double. I am. (Laughs)

Liam: (Laughs)

Steffy: God, who does this, seriously? Enough with the madcap adventures. Look, um... I'm just trying to say... (Sighs) Thanks for the memories.

Liam: Bob Hope. (Laughs)

Steffy: What?

Liam: Sorry. That's probably inappropriate. (Laughs)

Steffy: What, you-- you said "Bob Hope" in the middle of my good-bye moment?

Liam: I'm s--

Steffy: You jerk. I-I'm trying to be serious right now.

Liam: I'm--I-I'm sorry.

Steffy: Uh-huh. Uh-huh.

Liam: My--my bad. Okay?

Steffy: Okay. (Laughs) You like Bob Hope? He's my fave.

Liam: No, he's not.

Steffy: Oh, you thought you knew everything about me, huh?

Liam: Are you kidding do you know, I'm like-- I'm like a super fan.

Steffy: Oh, don't even go there with me, okay?

Liam: I just went there.

Steffy: Oh, yeah?

Liam: I already went there.

Steffy: Oh, really?

Liam: Yeah.

Steffy: Okay, really? Okay. How about this? (Clears throat)

Liam: Oh, my...

Steffy: I am. I am. Thanks for the memory.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: The sentimental verse nothing in my purse and chuckle when the preacher said for better or for worse.

Liam: We're doing this?

Steffy: Uh-huh. We're doing this.

Liam: Yeah? Really? Thanks for the memories.

Steffy: (Laughing)

Liam: Of faults that you forgave of rainbows on a wave of stockings in the basin when a fella needs to shave.

Steffy: (Laughs) Yes. Yes.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: How lovely it was thanks for the memory and strictly extraneous Darling, how are you? (Chuckles)

Liam: How are all the little dreams that never did come true? Awfully glad I met you cheerio and toodle-loo.

Steffy: Thank you... so much. (Chuckles) (Sniffles)

Bill: I've never bought in to that B.S. -- loving someone enough to let them go. If you love someone, you fight for them, period. Steffy's a fighter, and Hope's a... basket case. I don't think there's a shrink in the world that can help that girl. She is what she is.

Dr. Barton: Oh, Hope. (Sighs) Okay, I think what you're going through is, uh... (Sighs) What many young people experience when they find their--their core beliefs and value are out of sync with their actions. You have made love to and are living with a married man. That violates your own very deeply held principles. And yes, you love Liam, and yes, he loves you, too, but in sharing a life together outside of matrimony, there's a hypocrisy there that the--the press has picked up on and your fans have picked up on.

Hope: (Sighs)

Dr. Barton: And it's hitting home, because I-I think, on some level, you believe what they're saying is true.

Hope: Mm-hmm. I know, and that's what I'm struggling with.

Dr. Barton: Okay. Tell me about your struggles. I want to know what you're thinking, what you're feeling.

Hope: (Sighs) Maybe... (Sighs) I think maybe I should move out until their divorce is final and Liam and I are married.

Dr. Barton: That's a really hard decision, but for you, I think it's a good decision.

Hope: I don't know if I can do it.

Dr. Barton: Well, I think it's something that you and Liam need to assess together, okay?

Hope: (Sniffles)

Brooke: Is that why he stayed behind in Aspen...

Hope: (Sniffles)

Brooke: To give you some time to think without pressure? Or is there more to it?

Hope: (Sighs)

Steffy: That was fun. (Chuckles) (Sniffles)

Liam: Cha-cha-cha. (Laughs)

Steffy: (Laughs) You better put those papers in a safe place... (Sighs) Before they blow away after it took me so long to... (Scoffs) To sign them. (Sniffles) (Sniffles) (Sighs) (Sniffles) (Sobs)
