Steffy: If you expect me to apologize for kissing you...

Liam: I'm...

Steffy: Hey... I'm still your wife. And the one who wants to replace me is... M.I.A.

Liam: (Sighs)

Steffy: I wonder what-- what's keeping Hope, anyway.

Liam: Yeah, I have no idea.

Steffy: Well, her loss is my gain, so... I'll keep you company.

Liam: (Chuckles)

Steffy: (Giggles)

Caroline: Oh, Alana. So who is that? And should I be jealous?

Thomas: She's my personal trainer. She's canceling for tomorrow.

Caroline: Ah, yes, the inevitable L.A. trainer.

Thomas: She works my butt off.

Caroline: Mmm. I can tell.

Thomas: I'm gonna take that as a compliment.

Caroline: (Laughs)

Taylor: I just still can't believe how crazy our son is about Caroline.

Ridge: Thomas isn't exactly keeping it a secret.

Taylor: And that can't make Brooke too happy.

Ridge: Uh, that would be a no.

Taylor: Yes, it's true, because she told me that when Caroline got here the very first day, she didn't approve, because in her opinion, he's really better suited for her son Rick, especially since she'd like to find a way to get rid of Amber out of his life and this company.

Ridge: That is why Caroline is so important to Brooke.

Taylor: Well, I'm not worried, though, because my son has his father's winning personality and charming good looks and charismatic style, and so there really isn't any competition.

Ridge: (Sighs)

Caroline: Okay, so I am trying to figure out the complicated relationships at Forrester.

Thomas: Oh, don't do that.

Caroline: (Laughs) Why?

Thomas: It's a thankless task, and it changes moment to moment.

Caroline: Ah, the truth behind a family business.

Thomas: You don't want to know about all the skeletons.

Caroline: I do. But I have time.

Thomas: That's very encouraging.

Caroline: Made a commitment to Forrester. For me, this is the real deal.

Steffy: Voice mail again?

Liam: Yeah, I just can't imagine where Hope would be.

Steffy: Well, you know, maybe you got your wires crossed and she's at home.

Liam: Yeah. Or maybe she got sabotaged by a bunch of irate fans again. You know what? I'm gonna--I'm gonna-- I'm gonna go look for her. Do you need a ride anywhere?

Steffy: No, I-- I got my--my car. Thanks. Yeah.

Liam: Okay. All right. There's that. You, um, you take care.

Steffy: You, too. Good luck. Liam, uh... I hope she's okay.

Liam: Thank you.

[Cell phone rings]

Taylor: Actually, I could care less about Brooke's motives. I-I think that our son has every right to pursue Caroline.

Ridge: And he's wasting no timing it.

Taylor: Did he ask her out already?

Ridge: Tonight for dinner. Unfortunately, Caroline had other plans.

Steffy: Things fell through at the last minute, apparently, much to my big brother's delight.

Ridge: What do you know that we don't?

Steffy: I know Thomas is with Caroline right now wining and dining her. You know, I haven't seen him this excited about a girl he just met in a long time.

Ridge: Well, let's hope it works out for our son. Thomas could use someone like Caroline.

Brooke: What about my son? What about what he needs? Or does Thomas' happiness always come first?

Caroline: The ocean is so beautiful at night. You're staring.

Thomas: (Chuckles) I'm sorry. It--it's hard not to.

Caroline: I could say the same.

Thomas: I guess that makes us even.

Caroline: I didn't know it was a competition.

Thomas: Between you and me? No. Between Rick and me...

Caroline: All right, we all work together, and we all like each other. So no one-upsmanship.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Caroline: What? What's so funny?

Thomas: You don't know a whole lot about guys, do you?

Caroline: Some of my best friends are guys.

Thomas: Okay, well, when... men are in competition, we tend to go for the jugular.

Caroline: Oh, and women don't?

Thomas: It's different. It's different sensibility.

Caroline: Oh, so you're saying that we are more underhanded and conniving and not so upfront.

Thomas: Your words.

Caroline: (Laughs) Oh, you're probably right. That's what I've heard about Amber.

Thomas: No argument there. Mnh-mnh.

Caroline: You know, it's strange, though. She's been so nice to me-- set the record straight about Rick.

Thomas: About what?

Caroline: Well, for one thing, how much he loves his job.

Thomas: Well, I hope that's true and he just keeps on working with Amber.

Caroline: We'll see how it all works out.

Thomas: (Chuckles) Come on. It's--it's no secret that I want to work with you. I-I'm already on record with dad.

Caroline: It's nice to feel needed. I'm not sure where I'll end up, but one thing that surprised me is how into women's clothes Rick is.

Thomas: He's always been a bit out there, even for L.A.

Woman: Excuse me. When the lady makes her choice, we can serve.

Thomas: Thank you. The owner is a buddy. I asked him to put together some favorites that aren't on the menu.

Caroline: Wow you went all out. Thank you.

Thomas: Any of the selections can be ready by the time we're done with our salads.

Caroline: You thought of everything.

Thomas: I am trying. Is it working?

Liam: Hope? Hope? (Sighs) Hey, Hope. Hey. Baby, wake up. Hey.

Hope: Hey, Liam. What are you doing here?

Liam: What are you doing here? You were supposed to meet me for dinner at Bikini.

Hope: Oh, my God. Oh, my God. I just-- I just laid down for a second. I must have dozed off. I am so sorry.

Liam: It's--it's all right. It's all right.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: I-I'm just-- I'm glad you're okay. I was--I was really worried about you.

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: You are all right, right?

Hope: Yeah, I'm... really thirsty. Oh, I was really looking forward to tonight. (Sighs)

Liam: Well, I mean, you know, there's nothing stopping us from just hopping in the car and--and... only there is.

Hope: Liam, what are you doing?

Liam: Throwing this thing away. You don't have to put up with this, especially not in our own home.

Hope: Liam, no one forced me to look at those pictures.

Liam: That is not the point, Hope.

Hope: Yes, it is. Liam, there are always going to be pictures of you and Steffy together. You were married. You still are. And that is what I'm struggling with. I was looking at them earlier, and I-I felt like I was losing it. I was panicking. I--oh, I felt like I couldn't breathe.

Liam: So you took a pill from your doctor?

Hope: Yeah. Um... only it wasn't from my doctor. The pill was from Amber.

Thomas: The shrimp meet with your approval?

Caroline: Mmm.

Thomas: (Chuckles) I'll take that as a yes.

Caroline: (Laughs) Oh. Everything you did tonight the candles, the tiki torches, own private terrace...

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Caroline: You didn't miss a thing.

Thomas: Just a romantic at heart.

Caroline: You joke, but I know it's true.

Thomas: Because you're the same kind of person?

Caroline: Because you wanted everything to be perfect, every detail. It's very romantic. You better eat before it gets cold. (Laughs)

Thomas: I really don't care about my food. (Chuckles)

Caroline: You're gonna wake up in the middle of the night and blame me when you're hungry.

Thomas: I don't think I'm gonna be blaming you for anything.

Caroline: It was a wonderful evening, Thomas.

Thomas: (Chuckles) This is the best night I've had in a long time.

Steffy: Well, I gotta hand it to my brother. The guy makes things happen.

Brooke: Like this last-minute date for Caroline.

Steffy: Don't worry, Brooke. Maybe Caroline will take pity on Rick and take him on a mercy date. But, you know, Thomas is a tough act to follow.

Ridge: Come on, Girls.

Steffy: Oh, no, you know, maybe--maybe Caroline has a sister.

Brooke: Maybe Caroline has a brother.

Steffy: I'm off the market, so...

Brooke: For a few months anyway.

Steffy: Speaking about my wonderful husband, I actually just ran into him at Bikini. He was waiting for Hope, but she was a no-show.

Brooke: Hope wasn't there?

Steffy: No. He tried calling her but she didn't answer. So I kept him company.

Brooke: Oh. Yes, I'm sure you did.

Steffy: Yeah, well, we did a lot of talking about Aspen fashion week and how I'm introducing the Forrester ski line. And actually, he's gonna be in Aspen, too, covering it all for Spencer. You know, it is a magical place for both of us. It could be again.

Brooke: (Chuckles) Wishful thinking.

Steffy: Mm.

Brooke: You're not going to be able to trick him again, especially if Hope's going to be there.

Liam: So you let Amber risk your life buying drugs on the internet? Oh, my God, Hope!

Hope: I know. I know. I know! I know. I know. I know.

Liam: I mean, have you experienced side effects? Do--do you even know if it's the same prescription as the one your doctor gave you?

Hope: No. No. But it doesn't really matter...

Liam: Doesn't matter?

Hope: Because they're working.

Liam: Hope, you don't know what's in there. It could be anything. It could be... (Stammering)

Hope: I know. I know, Liam. I'm sorry. I wasn't thinking. I was just-- I just wanted to feel better. I know that pills are not the answer, and I-I don't want to be dependent on them.

Liam: Are you dependent on them?

Hope: (Sighs) Honestly, it could have been so easy. Just take a pill every time I see a picture of you and Steffy or I read all the brutal things that people are saying about me online. I mean, Liam, I was sitting at the computer tonight, and I could feel the anxiety building, like... ohh, God, Liam, I mean, it felt like I was suffocating.

Liam: Hope...

Hope: (Sighs)

Liam: It sounds like you're having panic attacks.

Hope: I was really scared. I couldn't breathe. And the pill calmed me down. It really helped me. Oh, but then I fell asleep, and I messed things up for us again. And I am so sorry. But no more, Liam. I-I promise not ever again. Yes, this is a very difficult time in my life, but I know that I just have to pull it together. And I will. I will, okay? Because I have you. (Sighs)

Caroline: Thank you, Thomas. I've had such a good time.

(Glasses clink)

Thomas: Me, too. (Sighs)

Caroline: You're very charming.

Thomas: (Chuckles)

Caroline: And not bad to look at.

Thomas: That was supposed to be my line.

Caroline: (Laughs) I hate for this to end.

Thomas: Well, it's not that late.

Caroline: But I have to get up in the morning, and so do you.

Thomas: (Groans) Well, we're gonna have a lot more nights like this, Caroline.

Caroline: Awesome.

Thomas: Yeah, you are. (Chuckles) Come here. You know how to dance, right?

Caroline: Sort of. (Giggles)

Thomas: (Chuckles) (Sighs)

A time for chasing dreams…..

 Thomas: From the moment I saw you, there is something I've wanted to do.

Do you feel all right?

Caroline: Mm?

Do you have what you need? Are you on the road maybe just a few miles on your way back to me? Tonight there's a wind blowing off the ocean and it feels so right.

Steffy: Liam didn't mention anything about inviting Hope to Aspen fashion week.

Brooke: It doesn't mean he hasn't or won't.

Steffy: Oh, come on, Brooke. That is the last place Hope should be. She'll have to deal with the press.

Ridge: Steffy does have a point there, Logan.

Steffy: Yeah, and she's under a lot of pressure. And she hasn't been able to handle it by herself.

Brooke: So you think if she's under all this pressure that her relationship with Liam is going to fall apart and then he'll come running to you? Well, that might be the case if Liam weren't the person that he is. But he's committed to Hope. She's his first love. They will survive.

Hope: Liam, I promised that I would never hide anything from you again, and I meant it.

Liam: Okay, so that's it then? I mean, y-y-y-you're not holding anything else back?

Hope: No, I-I should have steered clear from Amber, and I didn't, and that--well, that says a lot about my judgment these days.

Liam: No, no. No, don't do that. Don't turn this around on you. I mean, she's the screw-up, not you.

Hope: No, no, I messed up, too.

Liam: Okay, what does that mean exactly? I mean, are--you're disappointed in yourself, your choices, your life with me? Because if you have regrets--

Hope: No, Liam. No, no, no, no, no, no.

Liam: Okay, listen. There's no way that we could have foreseen this when you moved in, right? I mean, we just wanted to be together. We wanted to live our lives until we could finally be legally married, and now you're getting battered from all sides. You're having to pop pills from Amber just to get through this, and I-I can't stand what this is doing to you. I hate this.

Hope: (Sighs) Liam... when I'm here in this house... (Sighs) Liam, when I'm here, I feel like I’m living in Steffy's house. I feel like I am living Steffy's life. And I know that may sound really crazy to you, but she's still wearing your ring. She wants you more than she ever has. And that just adds to the pressure of everything.

Liam: Okay, I'm gonna ask you something, and I--and I need you to be honest with me. You said you wanted to wait until marriage. If you could go back, if you could turn back the clock--

Hope: But we can't. And I don't want to. When I'm in your arms, that is the only place that I want to be.

Liam: You know I-I'm always gonna be there for you, right?

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Liam: I mean, whatever you need whenever you need it, you--you can count on me.

Hope: Mm-hmm.

Liam: But, Hope...

Hope: Yeah?

Liam: No more pills. Promise me. No more pills.

Hope: Mm-hmm. I promise never. Never, ever again, okay?

Liam: (Sighs) Good. (Chuckles)

Hope: I have you. I am so lucky that I have you, 'cause I know that with you, I can get through anything. Mmm. (Sighs) (Sighs)
